back story: i’m (23F and filipino) got fired in november of 2023 at a hotel job and didn’t get a job until march of this year. where i live right now, it’s really difficult to find a job or get hired fast. i’ve applied to multiple companies (both that either pay well or a minimum but 99% of them rejected me despite the several changes of my resume and cover letter) and i ended up working at a minimum wage job because i am left with no choice. i still live with my parents because the rent prices are crazy and i can’t afford it. i do help them out pay every month with bills even when they still ask me for more but i could only help out as much as i can especially not making good money. i also do side hustle just to help me out a bit
today, my mom called me just to tell me how i am working at a dead end job and proceeds to shame me for ending up working at minimum wage and asks why i have no money. then tells me i should save up even tho i havent gone out in months. all my money goes towards the rent and other bills. she then proceeds to compare herself that she makes more money than i do just to make herself feel better. then she would bring up her MLM (pyramid scheme) stuff because she believes she’s gonna get rich and own several properties but she’s been doing it for almost a year and hasnt earned a cent
i am already stressed out from several things and this one hit hard because why would a parent job shame their own children instead of encouraging them to keep grinding especially in this economy?
unfortunately this is a typical mindset from filipino moms. they always think they’re right and then shame on their own children to make them feel better for themselves. and when you call them out for their shitty behaviour, they call you disrespectful and not being respectful for your elders.
my siblings and i were planning to celebrate mother’s day but she chose to celebrate it with the church people (aka the same groupp that traumatized and verbally abused me while i was 16-18.) my mom thinks they’re the shit because they are so called “the members of the Lord) but i’m also kinda grateful we dont need to celebrate because i d rather work. every single year we celebrate something and give her a present, she complains about it

Just wanted to vent a little and see if anyone else is in the same boat. I finally finished my studies and I've been applying for jobs like crazy for the past few months. I put a ton of effort into my resume and cover letter, tailoring them to each position, and I even practiced interviewing a bunch.
But so far, it's been all radio silence or rejection emails. It's starting to get really discouraging. I start to feel like there's something wrong with my qualifications or maybe I just bombed every interview without realizing it.
Anyone else out there feeling the post-grad job search struggle? Would love some advice or just some commiseration.

Re: carmax in Irvine, CA
If you have literally any other option, don’t use CarMax and especially not this location. Let’s get into it:
I started off with CarMax 2 Tuesdays ago. I wanted to see what their offer was for trade in on my current vehicle. I received the highest offer of 3 vendors from them, so I was very pleased. I had 7 days to cash in the offer so I began looking for a trade in vehicle.
I booked a reservation to test drive a car that I was pre-approved for online. My husband booked another one at another location and we had one other we were looking at outside of carmax. The plan was test drive each, decide which we liked best and proceed with trading in our vehicle, either for one of the two vehicles we were test driving, or for cash if we preferred the other vendor’s vehicle.
The Thursday of that same week was my first test drive, at this location. I had spoken to a salesperson who let me know they gave an express option that means I wouldn’t have to do the paperwork if I just upload my drivers license and insurance online. I do so. I arrive on time, 6:00 as scheduled. My husband and baby are with me. I walk in the front and I see a tv that shows my name on it in queue. Great! They must have it ready for me as promised! We stand there for awhile and finally someone notices us, and comes up and confirms that we have our reservation and someone will be with us soon but if we’d like to view the car, it is in the lot, 3 aisles back, pulled to the side. He points and we’re on our way. We wander to where he described and the vehicle is nowhere to be found, we wander the lot a bit more checking out every vehicle of the same type, maybe it’s this one? Nope. This one? Nope. Finally we’re cold, the baby is cold, we decide to wait inside. As we approach the front - there it is! Pulled up front. Not where he said. Ok, fine, he didn’t realize it was pulled up for us already. We go inside after checking it out and mention to him, hey it was actually up front. He doesn’t apologize or anything he just says, well they pulled it up for your appointment. …..that’s not what you said 10 mins ago my guy, but ok. He says, “we’re still waiting on a salesperson but they will call you as soon as they’re ready. We have you in the system so it should be any minute now.” It’s 6:30 now, and I’m a little annoyed but say ok, we’ll be waiting in the waiting area. 6:45 rolls around and the baby is getting hungry, we decide this guy up front hasn’t been too helpful so let’s ask the business office. We tell them we were supposed to have an express pickup (not realizing that express pickup is for purchased cars. Not test drives. But that isn’t what the salesperson said on the phone, and I don’t work here - how would I know anything other than what was told to me). Finally they call a salesperson, the guy I spoke with on the phone. He says, I’ve been waiting on you guys! …excuse me what? It’s 6:50. We were here at 6. We checked in. Twice. His response, “I can’t believe I didn’t see you.” ….is there no check in system that someone can mark this person is here?! Your system is really just stare at the door and try to decide if this stranger walking in might be my appointment?? Really??
I’m frustrated and I should have just left at this point but we waited this long, so I test drive the vehicle. The salesperson is pushy despite me letting him know that I am not planning to purchase the vehicle today, I have 2 more test drives and then I will decide.
Skipping over the other tests drives (one was at Costa Mesa and I gotta say if you’re set on buying from CarMax, GO THERE! Great experience there). We finally on Saturday decide on this first vehicle. Being that I was frustrated with my in person experience, I decide it is better to purchase the vehicle online. That’s the appeal of CarMax, right? No dealing with pushy sales people, buy online, pick up in the store. I fill out the application with mine and my husband’s information, as we were cosigning, get approved for a loan at a lower rate than expected - amazing! Upload all my documents. Write in my loan company, payoff amount I received from them for a 15 day payoff, and my account number. I receive a call from a rep saying they received everything and they will verify my payoff and as soon as that is done I can schedule my express pick up and trade in. Nice! I go to bed Saturday expecting to pick up my car on Sunday.
On Sunday, I receive a call that they can’t verify my payoff information. They think it’s likely because it’s Sunday and they’ll be able to get it Monday when the banks open. No problem, that makes sense.
On Monday, I receive a text that they were unable to verify and require a 10 day payout letter. I find that strange, since I have my account info, but these things happen so I get a letter from my lender upload it as requested. A couple hours later I receive a call from the finance department. “You incorrectly wrote the name of your lender in your application, so we need to redo the application.” ….huh? The rep says he sees on my letter that it’s America’s First Credit Union but I wrote American something something idk — I never even heard of this company. I said there’s no way I wrote that. I don’t even know of that company. Perhaps if it was a drop down menu or something, “choose your lender” I could have accidentally chosen that but it was not a drop down menu, it a type-in box. i def wrote my correct lender. someone on their end clearly made a mistake. But these things happen, we’re all human. We go through the application over the phone so he can redo it. We get to my husbands info and I’m told he has to give it himself. He’s at work. He says he’ll call back. I tell him 5:15. He calls at 3:15. I remind him he said 5:15. He apologized and said he’d call then, 5:15 rolls around, no call. I text saying we’re ready. He replies that he’ll call shortly. Finally at 6:30, he calls, we go through all the information AGAIN because apparently he can’t save an application in the middle. He tells me at the end, great news! You’re approved! But none of the options are what I chose originally, they are $50 more a month, 3-4 percentage points higher in interest. As I’m asking how this is possible he says, wait I refreshed and there’s this lower option available! He tells me the cost - $492 per month. Im tired at this point this has been an all day back and forth, I say fine. He says, all we need is your husbands license, we have everything else, once you upload that tomorrow we can get your express pickup set up. Finally! We do so and let him know over text,’which he confirms.
Now it’s Tuesday. Express pickup day. It’s 3pm and I I haven’t heard from anyone. I try to text. I get no reply. I call and sit on hold for 35 mins. Finally someone picks up and informs me I am not set up for express pickup because I am missing documents. But no one has let me know I am missing docs. No call, text, or email. they say they need our social security cards and references. Once we do that we can pick up after 5. So we upload those immediately, and I receive a text confirming my express pickup request and time.
5pm rolls around, we get to CarMax and the original sales person I had last Tuesday for the test drive sees us walk in. We tell him we’re here for our express pickup. He pulls our account up and sees that we do not have an express pickup. But he’ll arrange it for us. He’s informed by his sales manager that he can’t make arrangements based on the docs we have already uploaded online. We need to start over. We give him all the information AGAIN (4th time now). Get on his computer and print documents. Even though I BROUGHT DOCS WITH ME because I knew things wouldn’t go smoothly, he couldn’t accept the ones I brought. They had to be printed from his computer for some reason?!? They have everything they need after an hour, hour and a half or so and the manager is reviewing it. She asks my husband, how long have you been at your job? He says 2 months. His last job was 5 years but they went out of business. Do they need that info? No, no, she says. Let’s us sit there for another 20 mins while she “reviews our documents.”
Then she comes over and tells us that she can’t approve us because my husband’s employment needs to have been AT LEAST 6 MONTHS. Doesn’t matter that his previous job was 5 years and also doesn’t matter that we LITERALLY GAVE THEM THIS EXACT INFORMATION ALREADY 4X OVER THE COURSE OF 4 DAYS.
We blew up, stormed out and agreed this was a blessing in disguise - we don’t want to finance or deal with the repair shop of a company that is so disorganized, disjointed, and frankly shady. We drive our original car off and decide it wasn’t meant to be.
Then today, I receive a text:
Hello, this is Eden with the CarMax Transaction Support Team. I see you selected the insert car name here, great choice! I wanted to let you know that I am reviewing your order details and will reach out as soon as possible to provide an update. If you have any questions, feel free to text here or call me at 770-734-1130 and ask for Eden.
Yeah. 2 days after declining us over information they had the whole time they tried to start over and act as though this was a brand new order I just placed!!! So that motivated me to share my experience.
Save yourself the headache. Buy a car literally ANYWHERE else. And if you’re going to sell your car to them…. Go to Costa Mesa where their staff at least is actually friendly, knows what they’re doing, honors appointments, and are extremely helpful.

Depending on the company you work for, who you report to, and the systems your company has in place, FP&A can be an exhausting role that eats away at work / life balance. It's also frequently a "move up or move out" position that is difficult to escape. If this describes your existence, consider this post a PSA for the software companies that are looking for talented people to make the jump from being a practitioner in FP&A, to a trusted advisor to the office of the CFO. Most people are not aware that this world exists, but it does and if you're in this sub, you likely have the skills to thrive in this world.
If you think you can get comfortable with a new product, designing solutions, delivering presentations and working 1-1 with people just like you, there are likely job postings from hiring managers that would love to talk to you. Don't worry that you have no experience in software sales or consulting. Very few people start their careers in these roles. Most held roles just like yours before making the career change.
If you're not familiar with the market, here is a list of companies that periodically hire for people with your skill set:

• IBM (Planning Analytics)

There are many more vendors in the space so this list is not exhaustive. Specifically, look for Solutions Consultant (Presales, Sales Engineer) or Solutions Architect (Post Sales, Implementation) roles. The difference is the former gets to paint the vision and sell the dream. The latter is more technical and allows you to deliver the dream.
So if you think you'd like to take the big step of a career change, these company's job boards is a good place to start. Bring your experience and confidence to the interview. You have the skills to play a critical role with any of these companies as they bid to acquire new customers.

My parents applied to visit from bangladesh to attend my brother's graduation ceremony. They are retired and the only strong tie they have is to go back to their property they own. Anyways I was worried it would get rejected due to lack of ties but turns out my dad's visa got approved and moms is still "pending". Applied April 8 and got passport request letter only for dad on April 21. Is that weird? I don't see why they would approve only one and not the other unless they wana keep my mom as a "tie" back home so dad has more reasons to go back asap. Please advice if I should just keep waiting or I can do something else like order gcms notes? I tried calling them but I realized the visa Centre for bangladesh is in Singapore and couldn't find any direct numbers to call. (I'm a PR and my brother is on pgwp)

I’m at the point where when I know for a fact, I’m qualified for the job; when I get the automatic rejection letter, I’m tempted to reply, “of fuck you”. lol

I'm a software development agency new to gov contracting. I have started sending out RFPS to various solicitations. Some however have very vague descriptions, possibly because they don't know what they want? OR I'm wondering if they already have a vendor in mind. For example, one that I read asked for a "software solution is locally customizable, AI-driven, and confidential" for use in alleviating health situations in the county. Then they talk about the characteristics of the software saying it should have:
Evidence-based approaches built on proprietary evidence-basis schema based on multiple validated study evaluation tools and rating on a wide range of study types.
I presume they will provide the data and from what I read it's an informational site displaying different studies and such. But since they mentioned AI, do they want AI search, automatic triage of the reader's situation? The possibilities are very wide ranging and of course the cost. I'm afraid to bid one solution and then they'd demand another or my cost won't be competitive.
I'm really thinking they have a vendor in mind but not entirely sure. Anyone have experienced this and know what's going on?
BTW, this one in particular does not have a QA session. I will of course contact procurement but wondering if I'm wasting my time.

CHAPTER 1 The Letters
A slow death comes to those who breathe. And quickly to thou who do not.
December 25th: Christmas Day On this particular snowy evening, the clouds blocked the sun creating only the gloomiest day. Snow slowly fell from the dark clouds onto the quiet houses. The once bustling neighborhood full of joyful kids and noisy cars, was now empty, except for the thick fog and eerie silence. But that Silence was quickly broken by a white delivery van racing by. It made a screeching stop by a mundane yellow house. The van door swung open, and a small thin old man came out with a big smile, his eyes shining with the intensity of the glittery sun. In his hands, he carried exactly 9 envelopes, sealed with a dark green wax seal with a small wheat plant under three black bolded letters that spelled HOW. The smiling man walked up to the door and gave 3 quick knocks. Then he slipped one of the letters under the door then continued to waltz back to his white van to deliver another letter. The contents of the envelope read as follows.
Dear, An old Friend, I hope this letter finds you well and though you might wish me dead, I have a proposal, I want you to come to HOW. Come into the Visitor Center and ask for Cabin 87, they will know what you mean. Warning, there is no Cell Service so no calls back. It's a two-day walk back, that is if you survive the journey. I promise this will be worth your while with a large cash prize. A reward for my departure from our friendship. The name printed on the letter was impossible to read for any normal human being and even if someone could perhaps read it, it was a pen name and did not at all reveal who it truly was, when the recipients opened the letters, many of them were clueless. some were furious, and others were the ones who wrote it. But for any of this to go well, every last person needed to be there, not a person could be missing, and it just so happens that not one recipient had anywhere else to be.
Janurary 25th: 9:53 AM THE CEO A shiny red Mustang pulled up into the parking space of the HOW visitor center, the lady sat in her vehicle for a while, staring at the building, it was a majestic building, full of life and wonder and…of course…People. On any day of the week, it was packed with people, people who were constantly coming in and out, people who created hour-long lines, people who held their giant bags of camping gear leaving room for nobody else, and, people who… made her sweet money. The lady smiled to herself thinking about how much money she had. but that quickly turned a frown and she rubbed her forehead like she had a headache. She didn’t want to be here. She wanted to be in her office, looking down over the Hotel at the crowds of people, not in it. But she had no choice, the guy that had written the letter had promised her it would be worth her while. Not to mention there were lovely log cabins, she always wanted to stay in a log cabin, but she was so disgusted by getting dirty or worse…wet…and nature itself was just…Blah. She started at the visitor center as if trying to calm her mind, watching the snow start falling from the cloudy sky. She watched the glowing sign above the doors flicker on and off. She watched the people- wait. She rubbed her eyes and yet, nothing Changed. There were no people. She flung the car door open and exited the car with a furious frown. She hurriedly and angrily put on her large hat. The hat was one to stand out, you would notice it no matter where you were or how many people surrounded you and you’d know exactly who was wearing it. It had a base of black mesh drooping down covering her forehead which was covered by a foot-tall stack of red feathers pointing in all directions like a chaotic mess. But the lady took great pride in this hat and loved it dearly. She’d never leave the house without it. She also wore a slim sparkly red dress that ended just above her knees and black heels that clicked with every step she made. She leaned forward and squinted in the sunlight with her hazel eyes that glittered in the sunlight, looking for any sign of human life but there was none to be seen. Her face began to turn hot red her hat shifting to the side reveling part of her rich brown hair tucked neatly behind her. She stormed into the visitor center slamming the glass door behind her. She didn't even notice the people in the corner talking, or the other corner where there was an ice pack on a lady’s head, or the glowing CLOSED sign shining through the glass door, or the fact that a large black limo was parked just beyond the fence. She just stormed up to the counter, her heels clacking on the wood, her face as red as a tomato. “HELLO, Rick” she called clenching her fists. But Rick just smiled back. Rick was short for Richard and Richard was a big man, if not for this job he’d probably be a bodyguard and even had been asked to be a bodyguard many times before. But he had always rejected the promotion. “Tell me WHY there are NO People here RICK.” She barked, slamming her fists on the counter in frustration. Rick took a few steps back in surprise and quickly replied.
“Because we are closed Ma’am, and for the same reason, I'll have to politely ask you to leave, the door is right back there.” He gave a smile to the crazed woman who just walked through the doors. He didn't want to smile, in fact, he’d much rather yell back at her and her stupid large red feathered hat. But looking at her he could tell he had made a mistake, the woman's face was blood red, each huff of breath making such a loud noise it filled the room with sound, she looked like she was about to kill him. It would have been a clean kill if not for the group of people in the corner who were now staring at Rick in surprise as if he were in the wrong! “What. Did. You. Just. Say. You know what, I don't care what you said because I have impeccable hearing and an amazing large red feathered hat, I know exactly what you just said and I KNOW that you didn't just say that to your BOSS.” My boss? This selfish joke of a woman was not My boss. “My boss..? No way you're not my-” “Oh I'm SORRY, It looks like we haven't met yet, let’s change that, shall we!” She leaned over the counter and into Rick’s face “I’M AUBREY Allison, the CEO of this establishment” she spat with each syllable. The Silence was loud, Rick could not believe it. But Aubrey quickly pulled out her ID and shoved it in his face like she read his mind. There it was, right there in fine print. “Now” Aubrey continued “I'll be writing you up AND Unless you want to be fired from your ADORING and GORGEOUS CEO then tell me why you ARE CLOSED and why I had NO idea, and make it snappy, I have a place to be at 11 sharp and you have already wasted enough of my time. NOW SPEAK UP BOY!”
Janurary 24th: 2:43PM THE EX-WIFE “AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH” The Chair flew across the room and hit the wall, snapping in half, leaving a gaping hole where it had hit. The Woman screaming was Ella. Ella Banks. Ella was tall for being an old woman and was abnormally strong, well, at least compared to her boyfriend. Her boyfriend at the time was a small thin old man who, despite his age, looked handsome and stylish. “Honey, Please. Just sit down, I know this is hard for you but let's talk this through.” “THAT BITCH!” She threw another chair to the wall but missed and it shattered onto the floor. “LANGUAGE! You know we don't use that kind of word in our house, we have our kids upstairs. Please. Just sit down. We are running out of chairs!” Ella was never like this, she is a sweet person, an amazing girlfriend, and a loving mother. But things always changed when talking about her ex-husband. At last, she finally sat on the couch. “He thinks he can get me to come to his stupid little Campsite after what HE did. I'LL KILL HIM, THAT’S WHAT I'LL DO. I’LL TEAR HIS STUPID LITTLE FACE TO PEIECES!” She screeched. “It’s ok, it’s ok. Just calm down. Take a deep brea-” She shot up from her seat. “NO, IT’S NOT OKAY RON, IT’S NOT, I DON’T UNDERSTAND WHY YOUR SO INSTANT IN ME GOING” In reality Ron just wanted a break from her, she might be the most amazing and loveing person he’d ever met (this is a bad example) but she was overprotective of there kids, he wanted to do so much with them but was always stopped by his girlfriend who was just worried that they might get a bruise. He had made plans to take the kids skiing and he wasn't going to let her ruin that. He had to convince his girlfriend to go. For him. For the kids. And he would do anything to do that. “I just think it would be good for you, you need a vacation after dealing with… all of this.” He looked around the messy room and broken chairs. “and maybe, just maybe” He leaned down and whispered in her ear while she refused to make eye contact with him. “You can get your revenge after all this time of wanting it so badly” Ron couldn’t help but smirk while saying it. Maybe this is why villains like being villians. Ella jolted her head up at him and smiled the biggest smile a woman could smile, her smile was even bigger than Ron’s when he was delivering mail in his tattered white delivery van. “I'll leave first thing in the morning!” She stood up, then jumped up in excitement camping her hands together “I got to start Packing!!” She started to run upstairs when Ron Called out to her. “HEY, Just promise not to kill him, if you come home and he’s dead with no arrest, I'm walking right out those doors.” Ron gave one last final smile.
January 25th: 7:00 AM The Best Friend and the Unpaid Intern The Helicopter blades worrled around, cutting the air above. The copter rounded through the sky above the sea of green trees. The Inside of the chopper was lined with lavender carpet and cushioned seats. Two people were sitting down silently on the seats that could have been made for a king. One of these was a man wore a deep blue suit that reminded him of the deep ocean, on top of that was a white coat with brown leather on the inside. He also wore his bright red shoes And don’t forget his trusty lime green tie. It’s the only tie he has ever owned and probably will ever own. In truth his job keeps him away from the city, it keeps him in the wilderness, the wonderful nature, he didn’t have time to travel to the city and buy new clothes and ties or rubbish like that. oh, how I love nature He thought pressing his face against the window of the helicopter and looking down at the majestic forest. He did miss the city though, it felt like just a minute ago they were at the edge of the city passing above the visitor center, but it’s been 30 minutes and nothing but thick forest.
On the other side of the Man was a young Japanese woman who wore a stunning gold skirts with a large red t-shirt and sparkly black heels, She was staring out the window at the magnificent sky, tapping her fingers on the seat like something troubled her. She wanted to ask the man a qestion. Something to break the everlasting silence. “So…Victor…” She smiled and she pulled back her hair from her eyes. “How long have you and my boss been friends?” She Smiled “Ah me and big boss man go way back, 15 great years starting tomorrow, and not only is it an anniversary of Friendship, but an anniversary of life!” Victor smiled, not breaking eye contact with the forest below.
In truth, Victor felt as if his friend held him back, originally he and his friend rose the Ranks quickly, his friend always had just one promotion above him, but it’s already been 6 years, and there's not a promotion in sight. “An anniversary of….life…. Like is that an American holiday I haven't heard about?” Victor laughed and broke his gaze at the trees, instead looking at the woman with a smile “Hahaha, no Ms.Rose, but that would be a great holiday, people need to realize that nature and life are gifts and that we should be happy and enjoy life for a day, no work, no stress, just happiness and the sounds of nature” He took a deep breath “I'm sorry, I was rambling again” he laughed “but what I meant was that tomorrow happens to be my birthday! Not that it matters in any way, my work buddy is going to be too focused on dealing with trying to fix his past relationships or something” Victor pulled out a letter from his coat pocket with the forest green seal. He waved it in the air. “lots of people are coming, but you already know that.” “Anyway, How long have you been working for him?” Victor put the letter back in his coat pocket and patiently waited for an answer “Oh…ummmm” Ms.Rose hadn’t thought about this type of question “It’s only been….five…maybe six months?” Victor's joyful smile faded into a frown. “ONLY six months? That’s a lot of time to be spent with a man who treats you so poorly, as his friend I love and support him but I can not defend how he treats you, and you not even getting paid for it! You’re just an intern!” “Well yea…I guess…but I get free housing… free food…I mean, I get to ride in this helicopter. I can’t complain” “But YOU can complain. Helicopter or not, you shouldn’t let ANYONE treat a beautifuly young woman like yourself the way he treats you!” Victor looked back out the window leaving Ms. Rose alone with her thoughts. She pulled out her envelope with the green seal and stared at it. There was something wrong. Her boss has a husband, her boss has a lot employees that work under him and yet none of them were invited, and they were closer by location than Victor was on his trip, he made him cut it short. And to what? help him? He had employees for that. There had to be a reason they were invited, why he gave them both letters. “Ayy, Victor man” the pilot called. “What’s the problem?” Victor responded looking towards the cockpit in confusion as there seemed to be nothing out of the ordinary. “We’re here, ya”

Hello, I will try to keep this as brief as possible, without excluding any relevant information.
I filed my taxes last year in February. I was audited. Shortly after this, I lost my job and my account was closed. I submitted the information to the IRS, it went through, and they sent my deposit to the closed bank account on August 16th. I have yet to receive this deposit.
I have called the bank and the IRS at least 10 times on this issue. The first few phone calls were not helpful on either end. Bank said, "it was returned to the IRS on August 17th". IRS said, "they have not sent it back, the bank has a grace period to send rejected deposits back". I called back when the grace period ended...still, nothing.
The last phone call I made to the bank was a little more helpful, but at the same time, absolutely not helpful at all. The person helping me said that, generally in cases like this, they take whatever fees I owed to the bank out of the incoming deposit and then cut a check for the remaining amount and mail it. However, he said that he didnt see a trace of that, nor did he see the money anywhere (?). Its highly likely I misunderstood what he said, but I clarified and he said yes. So I don't know. He told me he would call me back on the matter, and I haven't gotten a phone call.
I asked the IRS for a replacement check and they sent me a letter. Cant attach it, but you can look in my post history or whatever and its there. This is where I am most confused....do I submit the information to the IRS or do I continue to communicate with the bank? This letter seems to just confuse more than clarify. I have been so busy with school and work and homework that I have put this on the back burner a bit, but I thought I would ask here first before sending it out because maybe this is less complicated than I think it is. 😅
I don't know how to navigate this situation to get my money. I dont know the right words to say when calling on this matter. Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Thank you so much.

been a while since i posted here. everyone was nice so i wanted to bring this post here and just ask for some support.
i have pretty severe anxiety and developed agoraphobia over the past 3 years. i also have depression, generalized anxiety disorder, ptsd, and probably other conditions. i stopped being able to work because of my mental illnesses and it's genuinely ruined my entire life... i kept trying to work, but then genuinely couldn't keep a job because i was either too depressed to get out of bed or too anxious to leave my house. as my agoraphobia got worse, i got very isolated and developed some disordered eating habits. and having lockdown didn't help me either, i found that when lockdown ended i couldn't go out the door without feeling sick... the most stressful part is that i can't survive like this. not asking for money or anything, i just really need to vent about this part because it's killing me. i haven't been able to keep a job, so now... my savings are completely emptied, i'm now on section 8 so i can stay housed... i qualify for food stamps but kept getting rejected because i couldn't physically get to the office to turn in documents - or because they weren't sending me the right documents - so i've been really hungry for months and trying to get myself to food banks (but with agoraphobia that's not always possible, although i do try very hard and make it sometimes) ... i keep trying desperately to find ways to help myself, and nothing turns out. i've been rejected for disability 5 or 6 times. i try to sell things online and go an entire year without selling anything. i've tried selling everything i have actually. custom artwork, clothing, jewelry, graphic design commissions, you name it. nothing works. i'm trying very hard to just stick it out through this situation but it gets so hard when nothing seems to make an impact. things are getting worse and worse. i never thought it would actually get to the point where i skip meals because i don't have the money to get 3 meals a day, but that's where i'm at now. right now i'm $100 in the negative, and i need just $30 to pay this insurance for my apartment which is my responsibility to pay or i get evicted... and i genuinely don't think i'm going to be able to find the money for that. its really possible i might become homeless. and i don't know what the hell i'm going to do, because there's just so much i can't do...
guess what happened last night? i got rejected for food stamps and was told i didn't submit the documents they asked me for (my section 8 award letter and things like that). even though i did, i submitted all of these online, so i had to call today and they told me my case would be looked at and have another final determination. and guess what happened today? i felt well enough to reach my mailbox for once (it used to be my safe/limit point i could always get to, so it's weirdly easy to get there sometimes). and i got a letter telling me my disability application was rejected.
they told me my condition isn't disabling me. even though it literally is. i don't have food, i don't have money, i don't have friends, i don't have fucking anything good in my life anymore because of this disorder. but no, i guess that's not disabling me, right? i don't know how long i can handle this stress. i didn't expect living on my own to be perfect but i at least expected to survive. i feel like i'm not going to even survive at this rate. every day is hellish and i don't know how i'm going to get out of this situation. i don't know what i need to be doing better. i don't know what i'm doing wrong. i'm trying so hard and nothing fucking works. also: i don't really have anybody in my life who can support me. i'm a foster child who grew out of the system, so i don't have any family, and i've slowly lost all my friends because of the way the agoraphobia isolated me... dealing with all of this on my own, and the only other human being i see regularly is my therapist... it's very lonely. every night, there is no one out there who cares if i cry myself to sleep. if i do end up homeless, no one will care.
i want to feel safe again. i miss feeling safe. nevermind the potential dangers i'm in - for fuck's safe, i just want to feel safe. not even happy anymore, just safe. my life has taken some shitty turns but this is genuinely the worst it's ever been and i really can't see how it's ever going to get better. ...has anybody else had their finances get screwed because of agoraphobia?

So during the weekend I found what looks to be JK in my garden at the rear. Its not near the building so no damage to it. Had it confirmed by professional people that you send images to in both said yes immediately without a doubt its JK.
It seems that during our viewing, the place in the garden where it is growing had been cut back, while during the survey we had a month later, it seemed to have been still clear or cut. We have images proving this.
Now the shoots have grown and I can see the leftovers from last seasons grow i.e old shoots which have died indicating its been there a while. This tells me the sellers may have been trying to hide it.
On the law society form, the sellers said 'NO' to JK being on the property not 'I don't know'
In addition, the surveyor (RICS certified) has also looked to have missed it, likely as the sellers kept cutting it back
I've spoke to legal team from home insurance who have said I need to get responses from Surveyor and seller prior to moving forward with a 'Letter before action', which I am waiting for.
Can anyone confirm anything else I should be looking out for legally? Like anyone been through this kind of experience before?
How do I get back the loss of value for the property and get the vendor to pay for treatment.. What other damages should I be seeking?

I have done few internships in the system, and now I'm trying to apply for consultancies (individual contractor), and recently I applied to 4 different consultancies at UNDP, all entry level, one of which I was asked by a recruiter to apply for it and he kept insisting that I applied. However, it's been 4 months and the status of the bid is still "pending award" and the status of my bid is still "sealed", so I decided to do a quick search online only to find that there were people who were awarded these contracts like within a month of the deadline, and the procurment team never bothered to open the bids nor to inform bidders about the conclusion of the process, is that normal? I know it's normal when we apply through the career application portal, but is it normal when you apply through quantum too? If so, what's the point of making public bids and financial offers? Aren't they obligated to announce the winners publicly? Even if they want to hire their interns only, I want to know what my score was and if I was rejected because of the technical offer or the financial offer so I can improve in the future

First of all english is not my first language and im dyslexic and i have never used reddit before so my writeing will be a bit messy and i dont realy know how stuff works here. - sorry about that
So about my brother and to give a bit of a backstorry, him (15) and i (22f) were not close for a very very long time. I think maybe when we both were still young children it was better but it continued to spiral downward more and more over time, to the point now where i just try to avoid him now as much as i can and have nothing to do with him. He acted more and more like an an asshole (in my eyes) when he got older and my parents most of the time shelterd him and were mad with me everytime we had an arguement and this could be over the smalest things.
so as an example we once singned all a birthday card so my parents me and him, and i signed before him and he last and when i tryed to take the card again so read what my mom wrote in the letter he didnt want to give me the card to read it, and mom told me to wait until he is done, but he was done the card layed next to him on the table just sitting there, and he wanted to pack the card away and seal it. So even when he was done i could not read it since its seald then. which i told my mom and told her also i just want to read what i had signed so whats the bid deal? but no. to be fair i wasnt that much calm later when i then argued with my mom about it and why i simply just cant have the card for a few seconds to read the damn card and one thing lead to another and it enden in me moveing in with my cousin for a week. another example was when we sat at our dineing table, back when we still ate together, he noticed he had to sneze but he didnt care so he snezed over all the food on the table right in my face (we sat oposite on the table) and when i got mad my mom got mad with ME since "its not my parenting duty", so i wasnt allowed to say anything at all in that case.
But now to today, im curently not liveing with my parents and brother anymore but vist them pretty much every weekend. And just some time ago i sent a picture in our family whatsapp group in which i saw that my bother had changed his pfp to a car. For context, he is curently working to be a milionair to move out to dubai when he is adult. thats atleast what he is saying and honestly im fine with it i know dubai is ... well..... but i definetly wont sayanything so i dont get the not your parenting duty blast again, but whatever atleast he is far away from me then.
So back to the car again, as i saw the car i was kinda curious what car it is that he likes, not that i know much about cars, but it was black btw and expensive and thats all i could tell about it. But then i saw his text written on his profile and it was a quote from Andrew Tate : "Life is a Matrix escape it - Andrew tate". and while i do agree the quote itself is not bad but i think that if you go so far to quote someone you have seen more from them. So i told my mom about it and explained a bit about who that is and my worries about it and sent her a few articels about him and what he has done and asked her if she could please talk with him about it.
Long storry short he shut close imidiately and defendet him with arguments like thats not true he hasnt done that and there is no proof of it and over all didnt let aynone talk with him about it . After that my mom gave him an ultimatum to delete this quote until noon (its evening rn for me) or wifi is of for the day for him, so he stormed of and he did put something else in his profile.
But this all realy scares me. He always was not dangerous im my eyes but just an asshole in general and gave off red flags (is that right in the context) when he forced our dog to cuddle with him, holdeing him tight until he growles at him and shows his teeth and air bites until my parents take him off of our dog, or when he explicitly would do think he knows i dont like like the snezeing or giveing the dog food off the table. -We have an aunt who is scared of dogs and at every family event i have to watch the dog so he dont demands food from especialy her. Its me because noone else does it if i dont do it and i dont want my aunt to be uncomfortable for something she has no fault it. -
But now seeing how he does actively defends someone who is saying things like women are property of men and you have to beat them, someone who did humantraficing, raped women and is saying when a women is raped its her fault because she brought herself in the situation and women and men cant be friends since women are not not seen a equal humanbeeings but aparently just something to fuck. I am scared to be with someone who suports those ideas and yes i knew idiots are everywhere in every shape, form, colos and what ever but he is not just someone random. He is my brother.
So my question is what could i do to let him see what he is suporting there and to feel safer again? I actualy dont feel comfortable anymore to visit my parents if he is there too.
