I recently stayed in a shared flat and the host unfairly left me a poor review.
I stayed for 2 nights and as soon as I arrived the wifi wasn't working. He messaged me back with trying a different sign in, but it was still quite shaky I ended up using hotspot on my phone. Also the workspace was missing from the room, which I needed. One of the reasons I booked it was because of this. He said the cleaner could bring a fold up table in the morning, but to be honest I didn't need it then and with the poor wifi it wasn't worth it. I also couldn't use the shared kitchen because the sink was full of dirty dishes and the worktops were dirty, as previous guests didn't clean up after cooking (which isn't his fault). Also I noticed out of date food in the clean fridge. I mentioned all this to the host in a polite way and I sent a photo, so he could see the poor condition. Also there was a gross food packet in the sink.
Anyway, just before check out - the host sent a polite message:
"Good Morning Thankyou for being such a great respectful guest. I would really appreciate that unless you had massive issues during your stay that you could give a 5 star review. I will certainly be writing you a full 5 star review"
However, in his review he said "I would not recommend hosting C**. It was very difficult"
He clearly didn't like that I complained about the wifi, and that the room wasn't as described and also the shared facilities were unusable because it was unclean. But in his welcome message he said to contact him if there were any issues. When I left everything tidy, and treated it with respect.

And I left a honest and fair review, and of course I mentioned the poor wifi, unclean kitchen. But I also left positive comments about the good location, comfortable bed.

I have Lime Crime Unicorn Hair, Bubblegum Rose on my hair. I have chunky highlights that are a basic blonde color as a base. I’ve washed it maybe two times since then, and my blonde is showing. Could it be my pillowcase? I haven’t washed it since the 9th because I forgot to lol. I also have a filtered shower head. I’ve also only used heat on my hair once, I think, by blow-drying it. Could letting it air-dry cause the color to fade? Could it be the hair dye? I’ll get a different hair dye similar to the one I have now if that’s the case, because I want my dye to last more than a week.

In a place without a cooking hood and poor ventilation. Was thinking of getting an air filter with activated carbon (maybe this). If it filters dust itll be great too i guess.
Searched online and so far I understand carbon smells, HEPA dust
Reviews are mixed on the effectiveness though and the filters arent cheap, so wanted to get your experience on it if you've tried it? Is it worth?

Hello all,
I recently moved back to my old apartment back in my hometown after being gone for eight years and got the large back bedroom. In this apartment, only three windows are suitable for a window AC unit (1 in the small bedroom, and two in the kitchen). In the large back bedroom, which is about 225 square feet, I have three awning windows that are located about 63 inches off the floor. I know that I'll need to rig something together with a window kit or two to get a sufficient seal.
The one issue that I'm running up against (other than power, all four outlets in this room appear to be on one 15-amp circuit and only one outlet is grounded) is that I've only been able to find one model/company (a Toshiba model) that indicated that the hose could have a maximum length of about 59 inches. My questions are:

1. I'm looking at shelving units and/or workstation tables that are designed for heavy weight to elevate the AC unit. I'd have to elevation the unit about 24-36 inches off the floor. This, as long as its relatively flat should have minimal impact on usage. This is less a question and more of a confirmation.
   
2. Should I size up the unit and add hose extenders to make up for the longer hose?
   
3. If using a hose extender, this should connect to the AC unit and then the stock hoses?

I’m looking to get a cheap fridge - like a top freezer model for as cheap as I can which looks like ~$450 new right now. Any idea whether Memorial Day has meaningful sales on the bottom end of the market like this?
Also - same question for portable air conditioner units?
