2024.05.19 13:49 Ok_Alternative_4643 How do hiring managers really view prior stay at home mom applicants with long career gaps?

I never intended to be a stay at home mom. I was a financial professional (banking and capital markets) and was looking forward to getting my mba. I made a different choice, and continued to be a mom and caretaker for the last 15 years. I have no regrets. I knew stepping away would set me back, but I was happy to do it and assumed I could always her another degree later to jumpstart any career reentry.
I left the workforce as big 4 manager (8 yrs experience), volunteered extensively spearheading large fund raising and event planning roles during my time at home, and went back for a masters in entrepreneurship six years ago. That said, I feel like I’m being viewed as unqualified for jobs I could have easily gotten as a 21 year old new grad with the minimum office work experience. My starting salary out of undergrad was around $50k, but Im not being considered for entry level office assistant roles at $20 an hour in the current market.
Am I hirable? I never anticipated having to start from scratch, but here we are.

🔗Royal 100Cx Portable Battery/AC Powered Cash Register

https://preview.redd.it/xu1iqymqfd1d1.jpg?width=720&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=9b7af0deef7439648e38f01af1298d2dab2384cf
As a small business owner, I've been on the hunt for a reliable, portable cash register to make sales easier at my farmer's market stand. The Royal 100Cx, with its compact design and battery-powered operation, has been a reliable companion for me. The automatic tax computation feature is a game-changer, allowing me to easily manage sales and taxes on-the-go. However, the initial setup can be a bit daunting, and the manual doesn't do a fantastic job of explaining everything.
The preset department pricing and sales analysis by category of merchandise are standout features that have helped me keep track of inventory and sales trends. It's crucial for businesses like mine, where inventory and sales fluctuate frequently. The ink roll printer provides a receipt printout, providing a professional touch to every transaction.
In terms of drawbacks, one thing to note is that the tax computation is limited to only four rates – VAT, Canadian, and a couple of others – which may not cater to everyone's business needs. However, for my small farm market business, it's more than sufficient.
Overall, the Royal 100Cx is a dependable piece of hardware, and it's been a significant asset in streamlining my sales process. It may have a slightly steep learning curve, but once mastered, it's a powerful tool for any small business seeking a portable, autonomous cash register solution.

🔗Casio SE-S800 1-Sheet Thermal Cash Register, 3000 PLUs, 20 Department Keys, 10-Line LCD Operator Display

https://preview.redd.it/brge474rfd1d1.jpg?width=720&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=4f0a868bdeebde4c9fa4dace5dded07ca7a38ad7
The Casio SE-S800 Cash Register is like your best buddy in the world of retail transactions. It's sleek, easy to use, and man, does it make life simpler! Imagine scanning items effortlessly and having that 10-line LCD display help you verify transactions—no more slip-ups! Plus, it comes with a two-line pop-up rear display for customers to see the price and subtotal, which is perfect for keeping them in the loop about their purchases.
But don't let its good looks fool you! It might not be the easiest thing to program, especially if you're not a tech person. You might find yourself on the phone with customer service more than you'd like. And, oh boy, they just love decimals! But once you get the hang of it, it's smooth sailing.
One more thing, make sure you get the right paper, because it doesn't play well with just any thermal paper. But overall, if you need a reliable way to manage your sales and keep your customers happy, the SE-S800 is a solid choice.

🔗Casio SR-S820-BK Thermal Print Cash Register

https://preview.redd.it/n5ozmt8rfd1d1.jpg?width=720&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=db3103fb2c53dbe851f1f963fc7b1f5683b8af96
I recently got the chance to use the Casio SR-S820-BK Thermal Print Cash Register in my small café, and I must say it's been quite a ride. The thermal printer is a game-changer for us, as it allows us to generate receipts and track our sales activity with ease. The 25 standard department keys have been incredibly helpful in categorizing our various products, and the 10-line LCD display makes it super easy to check on customer transactions.
One of the things that stand out about this cash register is its ability to be mobile. As a café owner, I love that I can move it around to different areas of my store, depending on my needs. The built-in receipt printer also helps us provide a more professional service to our customers.
However, there are a few drawbacks that I've noticed during my time using this cash register. For starters, the software that comes with it could use a bit more functionality. Additionally, some users have reported having issues with the blue tooth connectivity, which can be quite frustrating.
Overall, I'm pretty happy with the Casio SR-S820-BK Thermal Print Cash Register. It has definitely made my life a lot easier when it comes to managing transactions and keeping track of sales. If you're in the market for a new cash register, this one is definitely worth considering.

🔗Casio SEG1SC Thermal Print Cash Register, Pink

https://preview.redd.it/712sb1krfd1d1.jpg?width=720&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=815375953b151b8f3790b757c2a63de19d6ee756
I recently purchased the Casio SEG1SC Thermal Print Cash Register in a striking pink color. It's perfect for my small boutique and fits our vibrant theme perfectly. I was pleasantly surprised by how easy it was to set up and get running. The large LCD display is incredibly clear, making it straightforward to input prices and manage product sales.
One of my favorite features is the quiet thermal printer. It doesn't disrupt the ambiance of my store like our old, noisy register did. Plus, the anti-bacterial keyboard is a great added touch for hygiene.
However, I did find that the plastic casing feels a bit flimsy compared to more substantial cash registers. And while the instructions were mostly comprehensive, I did have to resort to YouTube tutorials for some aspects of programming.
Overall, I'm very satisfied with my purchase. The Casio SEG1SC Cash Register not only looks great in my store but also helps streamline our billing process. I would highly recommend it to anyone in need of a reliable, affordable cash register.

🔗Casio PCR-T2300 Electronic Cash Register

https://preview.redd.it/btnrin2sfd1d1.jpg?width=720&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=b13df31948ea6fefe3b253416e7c129de665ba92
I recently got my hands on the Casio PCR-T2300 Electronic Cash Register and let me tell you, it's been a game-changer for my business. With its 10-line LCD display, it's incredibly easy for me to check the current transaction and eliminate errors. The raised keyboard with 30 department key locations makes inputting data a breeze. Plus, with the built-in pop-up customer display, I can ensure my customers always know exactly what they're paying for.
One of my favorite features of this cash register is the ability to customize receipts with a graphic logo or programmable top and bottom messages, adding a personal touch to each transaction. The heavy-duty metal cash drawer provides more than enough space for five bill compartments and five coin compartments, making it perfect for a busy retail environment.
However, there are a few drawbacks that I've noticed during my time using this product. The instructions provided for programming the cash register could be more clear, leaving some users (like myself) scratching their heads at certain points. Additionally, while the register performs well overall, I have found that there can be some issues with the tape feeding, which can be frustrating at times.
All in all, the Casio PCR-T2300 Electronic Cash Register has proven to be a reliable and efficient addition to my business operations. With its user-friendly design and robust feature set, it's definitely worth considering for any small retailer or grocer looking to streamline their cash-handling processes.

🔗Casio PCR-T2300 Thermal Cash Register with 10-Line LCD & Dual-Tape Receipt

https://preview.redd.it/154iy99sfd1d1.jpg?width=720&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=624e9df45ee9940f5d17ef69a3d158a4c110e6a6
I've been using the Casio PCR-T2300 Thermal Printer Cash Register in my small retail store for the past month, and I must say, it's made a significant difference in my day-to-day operations. The dual-tape thermal system ensures quick and error-free transactions while the 10-line LCD display keeps both me and the customer informed about the ongoing purchase.
One of the standout features of this cash register is its flexibility. The 30 department keys can be preset with specific prices or left open for manual entry, allowing me to adapt to the ever-changing needs of my store. Additionally, with up to 7,000 PLUs available, tracking individual item sales has never been easier.
Customization is another strong suit of this cash register. I can add a graphic logo to our receipts, program top and bottom messages, and even adjust each item's description for detailed reporting. Plus, the heavy-duty metal cash drawer provides ample space for organizing bills and coins, making it easier to manage my funds.
However, the instruction manual left something to be desired. Some steps were not as clear as I would have liked, requiring me to seek help on YouTube for more advanced programming functions. Nonetheless, overall, the Casio PCR-T2300 has been a reliable and efficient addition to my store, helping streamline my operations and improve customer experience.

Important Features in Cash Registers

When choosing a cash register for your business, several essential features must be considered to ensure you are getting a reliable and efficient system. These include:
  • Display and User Interface: A cash register with an easy-to-use interface and clear display makes transactions smooth and reduces errors. Look for models with touchscreens or well-lit displays that are easy to see in bright or dim lighting.

Considerations for Choosing a Cash Register

Before making your decision on a cash register, consider these factors:

  • Integration with POS Systems: If you plan to use a point-of-sale (POS) system in addition to a cash register, ensure compatibility between the two systems to streamline your operations.
  • Environmental Factors: Consider the environment in which the cash register will be used (e. g. , temperature, humidity, etc. ) and choose a model designed to withstand these conditions.

tamad din sila mag aral, ayaw ko magcompare, ayaw ko yung “kami noon” pero wala eh. grabe yung pressure samin sa pag aaral noon. pero sila halos okay lang if di na mag aral. nabobother na nga ako sa 3rd child eh. maghahighschool na next year and di ko alam san siya pupulutin, honestly. i know, mga bata pa sila, but im just worried about what they will become. wala ng respeto, may pagka-walang modo, and my parents just let them be.
i’ve already tried my best as an ate/panganay pero nakaka-drain na eh. sana talaga kaya ko nalang iwalang pake yung mga ginagawa nila, magkakaroon pa ako ng peace of mind. may best friends naman ako pero nasa adulting stage na kami, medyo mahirap na magkatime together. buti nalang may bf ako na super comfy ako, para ko siyang main best friend. ewan ko nalang siguro if wala siya, mababaliw na siguro ako dito.

As a small business owner, I can attest that the Royal 500DX Cash Register has been an absolute game-changer for me. The dual LCD displays provide clear visibility for both the clerk and the customer, making transactions seamless and efficient.
One of the standout features is its capacity to handle up to 2,000 employees, which is more than adequate for a small to medium-sized business. Additionally, the unlimited messaging capability ensures that you won't miss any important announcements or updates. However, the product does feel a bit flimsy due to its predominantly plastic design, which might concern those who prefer a sturdier build.
Another fantastic aspect of this cash register is the 999 Price Look-Ups, allowing for quick processing of transactions. Programming four different tax rates also makes the setup process incredibly straightforward. On the downside, the impact printer, although functional, occasionally feels outdated compared to more advanced models.
Overall, the Royal 500DX Cash Register has proven to be a reliable and user-friendly addition to my small business. Its features cater to my daily needs and have undoubtedly contributed to the efficiency and success of my operations.

🔗Sharp XE-A102 Compact Electronic Cash Register with LED Display

I have been using the Sharp XE-A102 Electronic Cash Register for a start-up retail business, and it's been a reliable and efficient partner. The compact design allows it to fit easily in our small store, and the bright LED display makes it easy for us and our customers to see the transaction details. The 8 departments feature helps us organize our inventory, and the 80 PLU/Items capacity allows us to input all our products without issues.
One of the standout features of this cash register is its ability to accept different payment methods like cash, cheque, and credit card, which has made it easy for us to cater to our customers' preferred payment options. Additionally, the time and date display feature ensures that our transactions are accurate and timely.
However, there are a few minor drawbacks to the Sharp XE-A102. It can be a little noisy and slow compared to some other cash registers, which may be an issue during peak hours when we need to serve customers quickly. Moreover, the instructions provided are quite small, making them difficult to read and follow.
Overall, the Sharp XE-A102 Electronic Cash Register has been an excellent addition to our start-up retail business. Its compact design, 58 mm wide reliable printing, and ability to accept multiple payment methods make it a valuable tool for any small retailer. While it may have a few minor issues, the majority of users, including myself, are satisfied with its performance and recommend it to others.

🔗Professional XE Series Electronic Cash Register

https://preview.redd.it/63z5wl2red1d1.jpg?width=720&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=838a61378141c4d4aaebc4a889e25d11c1c90157
I recently added the Sharp XE Series Electronic Cash Register to my tiny boutique store, and I couldn't be happier. Before settling on this model, I spent a lot of time researching various cash registers, but the XE Series stood out for its advanced sales reporting capabilities and seamless tie-in with QuickBooks Pro. The moment I unboxed it, I was impressed by its sleek, professional appearance and built-in SC card slot for easy connectivity and data back-up.
Setting up the register was incredibly easy, and within just a few hours, it was ready to go. Its intuitive interface made training my employees a breeze. The thermal printer was a pleasant surprise; it's much quieter and faster than traditional receipt printers. Plus, the customizable receipts with graphics and logos definitely give my store a professional edge.
One of my favorite features is the automatic tax system, which not only saves time but also reduces the potential for errors and makes reporting so much easier. The locking drawer ensures security and comes with multiple bill and coin compartments, making deposits a lot more organized.
The only downside is the rather complicated user manual, which could definitely be improved. It's not a complete deal breaker, though, as there are plenty of helpful YouTube tutorials available online.
All in all, I'm thrilled with my purchase of the Sharp XE Series Electronic Cash Register. It's a perfect fit for my small business and a real game-changer when it comes to streamlining sales transactions and accounting. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this cash register to anyone running a small retail or service business.

🔗Casio Single-Tape Thermal Cash Register for Business

https://preview.redd.it/fj9sgulred1d1.jpg?width=720&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=54574ad3b2350fad83a5af4e9ced9b7a3044e6a6
Casio's PCR-T280 is a fantastic single-tape thermal cash register that offers more functionality for medium-sized businesses than entry-level models. With the ability to track up to 1,200 price lookups, it offers a level of specificity in item sales tracking not commonly found in its class. It also allows businesses to track sales up to eight different operators, making it an excellent tool for business tracking and growth.
One of the standout features of this product is its hygienic, antibacterial keyboard. In our current world, where cleanliness is paramount, this characteristic provides a measure of peace of mind for both business owners and customers alike. Furthermore, its multipurpose tray can hold money in four bill compartments and five coin compartments, ensuring the efficient flow of transactions.
The PCR-T280 also boasts a high-speed thermal printer, which can be used either for customer receipts or as a journal printer for recording all the store's activities. Its mode lock with key control feature provides multiple operation positions through physical keys, providing a level of security usually found in more expensive models.
Although it is not touch-screen, its simple and intuitive design makes it easy to program and use. Some users did find the manual a bit difficult to follow, but with a bit of practice, most find it quite manageable. With its ability to handle multiple sales tax needs and its capacity for PLU capabilities, the Casio PCR-T280 has proven itself as a reliable tool for various businesses, small or medium-sized.
However, one minor drawback is the depth of the money/change drawer, which could have been a little deeper for added convenience. Despite this minor issue, the vast majority of users recommend this register for its performance and price point, providing an excellent value for businesses looking for an affordable, reliable cash register solution.

🔗Heavy-Duty Cash Register with Alpha Keyboard and LCD Display

https://preview.redd.it/rgcm3zured1d1.jpg?width=720&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=e90611839a08205344996bd346c4f76bb8e15960
As an avid user of cash registers in my grocery store, I recently discovered the Royal Alpha 1100ml Cash Register, and my experience has been quite satisfactory. This heavy-duty register is perfect for my high-traffic establishment, offering a reliable and swift cash management system that I can always depend on.
The first thing that caught my eye about this cash register was its single fast and quiet alphanumeric thermal printer, capable of handling over 1 million lines. It's been able to keep up with the constant rush of customers, making it a reliable addition to my store.
The large 10-line LCD user display and alpha keyboard ensure easy programming, which was a breeze, even for a beginner like me. The SD Card slot is another excellent feature, enabling efficient accounting data transfers to a PC, a necessity for any modern business.
However, I will say that the software included with the register can be a bit flaky at times. While it is supposed to read the x and z reports that the machine puts on the sd card, I sometimes find myself having to use the sd card to transfer report data manually. Additionally, getting in touch with their tech support doesn't seem to be very helpful, as they often provide no real technical assistance.
Despite these minor issues, the Royal Alpha 1100ml Cash Register has been a solid addition to my store. Its heavy-duty locking cash drawer with four slot bill and removable five slot coin tray, along with its automatic tax computation, has made managing funds and keeping track of sales much easier for me. If you're in need of a reliable cash register for your business, I'd highly recommend giving this one a try.

🔗Fast and Accurate Cash Register System with Thermal Printing and 8-Line Display

https://preview.redd.it/qu5h8dbsed1d1.jpg?width=720&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=cbccc254fa34615f87dd2812357e0f2a57027db4
I recently discovered the Sharp XEA407 Cash Register while searching for a reliable and feature-rich solution for my little grocery store. After trying it out, I must say it's exceeded my expectations.
The first thing that impresses anyone who lays their eyes on it is the sleek eight-line display. It's not just a pretty face though; it's got brains as well with 7000 Price Lookups (PLU's), allowing quick and accurate entry. The inclusion of 99 departments is brilliant as it makes managing diverse product types a breeze.
My favorite feature? Hands down, the microban keytops. They provide built-in antimicrobial protection, keeping those pesky germs at bay, which is particularly important given the current health situation. And let's not forget about the large 32GB SD card slot for computer connectivity and data storage.
However, there were a few hiccups too. The lack of French documentation was a letdown for me, a French-speaking Canadian. Plus, a few customers have reported missing parts upon delivery, making the product unusable.
So, while there are some minor issues, the Sharp XEA407 Cash Register has overall been a reliable and efficient addition to my store. It's fast, easy to set up, and offers more than enough features for most small businesses. If you're looking for a cash register that combines modern tech with dependability, this might just be the one for you.

🔗Royal 100Cx Portable Battery/AC Powered Cash Register

https://preview.redd.it/mpye61nsed1d1.jpg?width=720&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=53410d259f67c2fbda2560e107147dca104e0317

🔗Royal 435dx Cash Register with 16 Department Capability and 8 Clerks

https://preview.redd.it/txxdg61ted1d1.jpg?width=720&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=164bcd3d5dc97bc9b7528ca1c00673134ce19862
As a small business owner, I can attest to the convenience of the Royal 435dX Electronic Cash Register in my daily operations. Its 16 departments and 800 PLU's ensure an efficient flow of transactions, while the 8 clerk capacity and 4 tax rates enable seamless management, even for those serving in various locations or catering to international clientele.
One of the highlights of this cash register is the front and rear LCD displays, allowing both the clerk and customer to see each transaction clearly. The memory protection with backup batteries provides added security to safeguard data in case of a power outage, a particularly valuable feature for businesses operating in areas with unpredictable power supply.
However, a minor con would be the single station 57mm impact printer, which could limit the pace of transactions during peak rush hours. Also, the locking cash drawer tends to be a bit cumbersome, requiring more time than necessary to retrieve and return change.
Despite these minor drawbacks, the Royal 435dX Electronic Cash Register has significantly improved my business operations, allowing me to keep track of transactions efficiently, even during peak hours. I would recommend this cash register to other small business owners looking for a reliable and feature-rich option that delivers exceptional performance at an affordable price point.

🔗Casio SE-S700 Cash Register: High-Speed Single-Station Thermal Printer

https://preview.redd.it/v48cimbted1d1.jpg?width=720&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=9147acc58257ad1b649fd63e1da8c960a9a87046
I recently upgraded my old, heavy cash register to the Casio SE-S700, and I must say, it has made running daily transactions a breeze. The built-in rear customer display ensures that prices are accurate, while the 8 department keys and 999 PLUs make it a cinch to organize my inventory.
One of my favorite features is the customizable receipt header, allowing me to print unique messages on each customer receipt. The large, easy-to-read LCD display ensures that no mistakes are made during sales transactions.
However, there are a few cons to consider. The plastic construction doesn't instill much confidence in its durability, and I wish the cash register drawer featured a more secure locking mechanism.
Overall, the Casio SE-S700 has proven to be a reliable and efficient cash register for my small business, saving me time and preventing any hassles when it comes to handling transactions.

🔗Clover Station POS System with Cash Register

https://preview.redd.it/01ab3vrted1d1.jpg?width=720&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=0dc914dd36488d910cdfc6d729888d81d4bd956f
I recently picked up the Clover Station POS System for my little cafe, and it's been quite the rollercoaster ride. Imagine a sleek, brushed aluminum body with a 11.6" touchscreen display that's as responsive as a well-trained puppy. Sounds appealing, right? Well, it is. But let's dive a little deeper.
First off, the touchscreen is large and bright, perfect for both me and my customers to navigate. The high-resolution camera embedded within the system makes scanning barcodes or QR codes a breeze, which is super helpful for keeping track of inventory. Plus, the swivel arm swivels smoothly between my side and the customer's, making transactions feel seamless and personal.
However, there have been some hiccups. For one, the single power source for the display and printer can create a tangled mess of cords, especially when you're trying to juggle other peripherals. And while the connectivity options (Ethernet, Wi-Fi, and Bluetooth) are great, I sometimes find myself struggling with Wi-Fi lags.
Moreover, the customer service has proven to be quite the challenge. You see, I bought the Clover Station from a seller who didn't provide much support. When things went awry, I was left to figure it out on my own. Needless to say, getting in touch with their customer service has been a nightmare. It feels like they're speaking a different language sometimes, and getting a call back is as rare as a winning lottery ticket.
Despite these cons, I still find the Clover Station POS System useful for my small cafe. It's a stylish, reliable system that offers a range of features and connectivity options. However, be prepared for the occasional frustration and confusion, especially when it comes to their customer service.
In conclusion, the Clover Station POS System is a mixed bag. While it boasts a sleek design, large touchscreen, and versatile connectivity options, it also has its fair share of challenges, such as the messy cords and difficult customer service. I'd recommend this product for businesses looking for a stylish and reliable POS system, but be prepared to face a few hurdles along the way.

🔗Casio PCR-T2300 Electronic Cash Register

https://preview.redd.it/1uu2h8zted1d1.jpg?width=720&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=4abee1a70906134d15e54eff47fffca50d24061c

🔗Square Register Touchscreen Display, Gray

https://preview.redd.it/p75qt1dued1d1.jpg?width=720&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=d7961fd7f877439dcf756eb77fb73cfca5bb1bb2
I've been using Square Register - Touchscreen Display, Gray for quite a while now, and it's been a game-changer for managing my small grocery store. The system is incredibly intuitive, with a sleek touchscreen display that makes transactions a breeze. The customer display is perfect for keeping lines moving smoothly, and the compact design ensures my countertop stays clutter-free.
One standout feature of the Square Register is its seamless integration with other Square services, like inventory management and customer feedback. This has made it incredibly easy for me to keep track of my stock and stay in touch with my regular customers. Additionally, the hardware is built to last, which is always a plus when you're investing in new equipment.
However, there's one area where Square Register could improve – the lack of customization options. While the system works great out of the box, I sometimes wish I could tweak some settings to better suit my specific needs. Despite this minor flaw, the Square Register - Touchscreen Display, Gray has definitely helped streamline my operations and improve my customers' experience.

🔗Royal Alpha 583x Electric Cash Register for Small Business

I recently purchased the Royal Alpha 583cx Cash Register for my small business, and I couldn't be happier with my purchase. This little gem has made managing sales transactions a breeze. With 99 departments, 1000 PLUs, 26 clerks, and 4 tax rates, this cash register is fully equipped to handle the needs of any small business.
One of the features that I absolutely love is the alpha numeric single station thermal printer. It not only prints fast but also allows me to customize the receipts with my company's message, making it a great marketing tool. Another great feature is the serial port for PC connection, which lets me use an optional bar code scanner, making the checkout process even smoother.
However, one minor issue I experienced was with the paper feed. It tends to jam at times, but a quick fix usually solves the problem. Additionally, the display that shows the purchase amount could be more visible, especially in bright lighting conditions.
Overall, I would highly recommend the Royal Alpha 583cx Cash Register to anyone running a small business. Its user-friendly interface, customizable receipts, and reliable performance make it a valuable asset to have in any retail or service environment.

2024.05.19 13:42 WorldClassShrekspert Horizontal Grid Expansions for Master Fairs

I have thought about this for a while. I feel horizontal grid expansions (similar to the ones given to general pool sync pairs on PokeMas Day) would be a nice power boost to older Master Fairs. I will list some grid tiles I would give to Master Fairs (and EX roles if they don't have them.) I will just list all of the Master Fairs without B-Moves.
Leon and Charizard:
Wanted to give him the Max Move tiles and skills that worked with his Max Moves, as well as powering up his coverage.
Maxie and Groudon:
Archie and Maxie pretty much got the same buffs.
Archie and Kyogre:
Archie and Maxie pretty much got the same buffs.
Anniversary Lillie (2021) and Lunala:
Wanted to make her nuke not garbage.
Anniversary N (2021) and Reshiram:
More special attack and debuffs, plus AOE sync nuke!
Anniversary Steven (2021) and Rayquaza:
Hopefully this makes him better (It's still probably comically underpowered).
Sygna Suit Lusamine and Dusk Mane Necrozma
I wanted to increase her super effective damage more.
Sygna Suit Cynthia (Renegade) and Giritina Altered Forme
Just self-sufficiency and Terrain Extension.
Sygna Suit Serena and Zygarde
I gave Serena some utility, as well as better gauge management and a stronger nuke.
Sygna Suit Ethan and Lugia
I wanted these buffs to keep the TM and Areoblast alternation gameplay.
Sygna Suit Lyra and Celebi
I put my bias against Lyra for this. Also, the new passive naming system sucks. It makes sync pair theory crafting so much harder.
Sygna Suit Kris and Suicune
If they give her any other EX role besides Field, I will cry. Wanted to add to her survivability and SMUN stacking.

So, these are just some ideas for horizontal grid extensions. Feel free to share you thoughts in the comments.

The ability to keep track of a whopping 200 departments and up to 7000 price look ups is a godsend, making inventory management a breeze. .
Plus, accommodating up to 40 clerk IDs? . Brilliant! .
However, the lack of a key upon delivery was a bummer, but Royal was quick to address the issue and sent one over. . All in all, I'm thoroughly impressed by the ease and efficiency this cash register has brought into my daily life. .

Another highlight was the 10-clerk tracking system, making it suitable even for businesses with multiple staff. Plus, the alphanumeric thermal printer is impressive with its quiet performance and excellent print quality.
However, there are a few hiccups. Some users have reported that there are no replacement parts available if anything breaks, which could be troublesome. Additionally, the lack of a slot to accommodate large bills, checks, or slips in the coin drawer made me a bit disappointed.
In conclusion, the Royal 410dx Cash Register is a great addition to any small store or business. But, there are a few downsides. The paper rolls can be a bit wasteful, especially when customers don't want receipts, and it took some time to figure out how to program the register. It's also worth mentioning that my power supply is starting to fray, which is a concern for future use.
Overall, the Royal 520DX Cash Register is a solid choice for running a small business, with its user-friendly design and helpful features. However, the paper waste and potential power supply issues might be something to consider before making a purchase.

🔗Heavy-Duty Cash Register with Alpha Keyboard and LCD Display

🔗Refurbished Sharp XE-A106 Sleek Microban Cash Register

I recently got my hands on the Sharp XE-A106 Cash Register and boy, am I impressed! This refurbished gem has been a game-changer in managing sales at my small business.
The first thing that caught my eye was the Microban antimicrobial keys. It's not just about style; it's about hygiene too! The large LED screen is another feature that I absolutely adore. With one line for eight digits, it's so easy to keep track of prices and sales.
The drum printing on standard 2-1/4" plain paper roll is fast and quiet, making it perfect for my retail store. Plus, with functions like eight preprogrammed departments, 80 price lookups, four clerk numbers, auto-tax system, and flash reporting, managing sales has never been easier.
But wait, there's more! The locking cash drawer with four-slot bill compartments, five-slot removable coin tray, and a media slot for quick deposit of checks and bills is just brilliant. Not to forget the easy programming that took me under an hour to set up.
However, nothing's perfect. The one downside I noticed was the slow printing speed. Also, you can't turn off the receipt printer for a "no sale" option.
All in all, the Sharp XE-A106 Cash Register is a reliable workhorse for any small business. Despite the few drawbacks, it's worth every penny. If you're in the market for a cash register, this should definitely be on your list!

I recently purchased the Royal 6000ML Cash Register for my small grocery store, and I have to say, it's been a game-changer. This compact cash register has truly helped streamline our operations, making it easier than ever to manage sales and generate accurate reports.
One of my favorite features is the 36 Department categorization, which has allowed me to analyze sales data in a more detailed manner. Additionally, the 6,000 Price Look-ups (PLUs) have made entering frequently sold items quick and easy. The alphanumeric thermal printer, along with the front display and rear LED display, ensures that I can keep track of transactions with ease.
However, there have been some cons as well. The initial setup was a bit challenging due to the lack of clarity in the instruction manual. Some users have also reported issues with the power cord connecting properly to the register.
Overall, despite a few hiccups during setup, the Royal 6000ML Cash Register has been a valuable addition to my business. Its efficiency and ease of use make it an ideal choice for small-scale retail operations.

Consider the complexity of your operations and the size of your store when choosing a cash register. 🔗Case Logic Era Small Camera Backpack - Gray

https://preview.redd.it/0eoic4pacd1d1.jpg?width=720&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=a5eaf3c6d4252cd5d91743a2658c58074c47008d
I recently purchased the Case Logic Era Small Camera Backpack in Gray for my photography adventures. As a traveler, I was in search of a compact and lightweight bag that could safely hold my camera and a few essentials without weighing me down. This backpack perfectly fits the bill with its small size and well-organized compartments.
The padded camera compartment is designed to accommodate any combination of camera and drone equipment, making it incredibly versatile. I appreciate the adjustable, padded shoulder straps that ensure a custom fit for maximum comfort during long shoots. Additionally, the storage area for tablets up to 10.5 inches has been particularly useful as it allows me to carry my iPad for quick editing on-the-go.
One of my favorite features is the easy access to my camera or laptop through the top dual zippers, which saves me time when I need to quickly switch lenses or grab my laptop to review footage. The front pocket provides ample organization and storage for small personal items like my phone, wallet, and keys, adding convenience to my photography sessions.
On the downside, the lack of a water bottle holder or compartment for a tripod might be an inconvenience for some users who prefer having these accessories readily available. Despite this minor shortcoming, the Case Logic Era Small Camera Backpack has truly enhanced my photography experiences, providing a comfortable and efficient way to carry and protect my equipment.

🔗Case Logic Water-Resistant Compact Camera Bag

https://preview.redd.it/23sboz9bcd1d1.jpg?width=720&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=1bc5d01c6d5e0db366a2137f69d00f770bfb2c9b
This little bag does wonders! I purchased the Case Logic DCB-313 for my compact point-and-shoot camera, and I couldn't be happier with its performance. The moment I slipped my camera into the main compartment, I knew it was a secure fit. There's plenty of room in there - enough for a couple of spare batteries, some memory cards, and even a small lens if you're using one. Plus, the front compartment is super convenient for storing those tiny extras like a battery charger or cable.
The exterior is made of sturdy, water-repellent material, which keeps my camera safe from sudden downpours or accidental spills. And the interior lining not only looks great but also prevents any scratches or dings on your camera's surface. It's like a protective little cocoon!
In terms of organization and accessibility, the Case Logic DCB-313 excels. Its simple design may not have as many pockets as some other camera bags, but that's part of its charm. It keeps things uncluttered and easy to find - perfect for those of us who can't be bothered with endless zippers and compartments.
However, one downside is that the belt loop can be a bit too snug for some users. If you're wearing it on your belt, you might need to adjust it multiple times to find the right fit - but once you do, it stays secure and comfortable throughout the day.
Overall, I find the Case Logic DCB-313 to be a perfect companion for my compact camera. It's well-built, stylish, and easy to use, making it a great choice for photographers who want a convenient way to carry their camera without breaking the bank.

🔗Case Logic Slim DSLR Camera Holster - Black

As a photography enthusiast, I've seen my fair share of camera cases. But this one, the Case Logic DSLR Camera Holster, has completely changed my game. It's minimalistic design, coupled with high-quality materials and thick padding, truly provides reliable protection for my beloved SLR.
The first time I used it, I was pleasantly surprised by how easy it was to access my camera. The top load entry opens away from my body, allowing me to quickly grab my camera without any hassle. Furthermore, the interior zippered pocket is perfect for storing my SD card, keeping everything organized and safe. And let's not forget the front slip pocket - it's perfect for storing my lens cap so I never misplace it.
But it's not just the features that impress. This holster also excels in terms of portability and convenience. The detachable, adjustable shoulder strap and grab handle make it incredibly easy to carry around, whether I'm on a shoot or just running errands. Plus, the compact size means it fits perfectly in my bag without taking up too much space.
Of course, no product is perfect, and this holster is no exception. While the padding is adequate, it could be thicker to provide more protection. Additionally, the zippers, while functional, could be sturdier to ensure longer-lasting use.
Overall, the Case Logic DSLR Camera Holster has been a game-changer for me. Its capacity, convenience, and portability make it the perfect companion for any avid photographer. The only drawbacks are minor, but they don't detract from the excellent quality and value this case offers. If you're in the market for a new camera case, look no further - this one is a must-have!

🔗Large Case Logic Camera Backpack for DSLR & Drone Equipment

https://preview.redd.it/ff5tcqsbcd1d1.jpg?width=720&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=8595d365e1d1ff1e199985178515e0e16c73a61a

I recently got my hands on the Era Large Camera Backpack, by Case Logic, and I must say, I'm quite impressed. It's a perfect blend of style and functionality, making it a top choice for photographers and drone enthusiasts alike.
One of the standout features is the padded camera compartment, which is large enough to fit any combination of camera and drone equipment. I appreciate how adjustable the internal padding is, offering a customizable fit that keeps my gear secure and organized.
The bag also features padded storage for a tablet or laptop up to 13 inches, making it versatile for both photography and personal use. And don't worry about getting caught in the rain with your valuable gear; the bag comes with a included rain cover that keeps everything protected from the elements.
One thing that sets this bag apart is the easy access top dual zippers. This feature allows you to quickly grab your camera or laptop without having to open the entire bag, which is incredibly handy when you're on the move.
The side pockets are also incredibly versatile, providing secure storage for a water bottle and a tripod, further proving the bag's versatility.
However, one con I've noticed is that the bag can feel a bit tight on the shoulders after extended periods of use, though this may not be an issue for everyone. Overall, the Case Logic Era Large Camera Backpack is a stylish, functional, and durable bag that I'd recommend to any photographer or drone enthusiast.

🔗Stylish modern hide a bed chair" seems to be a simple and direct title for the sleeper chair product, incorporating some desirable characteristics without going overboard. It's short, SEO-friendly and is easily comprehensible to humans.

https://preview.redd.it/yje0t8fccd1d1.jpg?width=720&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=6ec9c97cf169323026c341b1178d1409c0a0b1fc
As a travel blogger, I've tried out numerous camera cases for my beloved compact digital camera. The one that stands out for me - the Case Logic DCB-302 Compact Camera Case. Its tough polyester fabric not only ensures durability but also offers a sleek, professional look. What I love about this case is its spacious interior, which has been thoughtfully designed. There's a removable shoulder strap and even a belt loop, offering multiple carrying options.
However, like any product, there are a few downsides. The newer model isn't as robust as its predecessor, lacking adjustable straps and sturdier zippers. The belt loop could also be narrower for a snugger fit. Despite these cons, this case still makes an excellent storage solution for my camera and its accessories, providing a reliable companion for all my photography adventures. Overall, the Case Logic DCB-302 Compact Camera Case is definitely worth considering for anyone looking for a convenient, secure, and professional-looking camera bag.

🔗Case Logic Compact System Camera Holster for 18-55mm Lens

https://preview.redd.it/ep4am0uccd1d1.jpg?width=720&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=a7ac63acad7ce126de00773ce56ab37797acf659
I found this Case Logic Compact System Camera Day Holster to be quite versatile when it comes to protecting my camera. Not only does it provide a snug fit for my compact system camera with its attached lens, but it also attaches to the camera's strap, ensuring that I never leave the holster behind.
One of the features that stood out was the internal dedicated lens cap pocket. I no longer have to scramble around looking for a lost lens cap when I need to take a shot. Additionally, the slim-line protection has been incredibly useful in turning my everyday bag into a camera bag without adding too much weight or occupying too much space.
However, the holster was a tad too small for my preference, as it struggled to accommodate certain lens combinations. Another downside is that it lacks extra storage compartments for additional camera accessories, making it less than ideal for those with a wide array of camera equipment.
Overall, the Case Logic Compact System Camera Day Holster provides a convenient and secure way to carry your camera while on-the-go. If you're looking for a lightweight solution to keeping your camera safe, this could be the perfect addition to your photography kit.

2024.05.19 13:19 fanderpander Enneagram Megathread

The test to find out your enneagram type is here (classical test). The second test of instinctive subtypes variants basically gives you a type of whether you are dismissive (self preservation variant), externally oriented (social variant) or oedipal (sexual variant, which is to say intimacy).
I like the explanations on this site because for each type they tell you why people mistake themselves for other types, how the types get along in relation to each other, famous examples of the type, and "levels" of functioning of each type from level 1 (the healthiest and most functional) to level 9 (the unhealthiest and most disintegrated).
Enneagrams refer to directions of integration and disintegration. A disintegrated self has a diffuse identity and is primarily acting on primitive instinct and ego. The more integrated a person and their personality and functioning is, the more their sense of self shines above and in control of the ego and the id, essentially.
A friend of mine also showed me this site comparing enneagrams to MBTI which I thought was interesting. I personally feel that the enneagram is a very accurate form of personality typing just as if not more accurate than truthful responses to the Myers Briggs and basically would consider it a poor man's diagnostic tool, if appropriately interpreted. I believe the theory to be very sound.
I may occasionally update this op with more basic thoughts.

2024.05.19 13:18 technoexplorer Drone flight height?

Hi, I'm naïve and I have a question about drones.
How high is a good, comfortable altitude for straight and level flight?
Like, for example, fixed wing planes without oxygen have a range of like 500 to 10,000 feet, but really, if you're just relaxing and crusing, you're gonna be at like 3500 or 4000 ft, maybe a little higher.
I know drones are allowed to fly, say, between 1 ft and 400 ft, but what altitude do you go to to just have some fun? Like, 50 ft?

2024.05.19 13:16 Adventurous_End_7650 A video shooter's perspective on R5 (+ settings)

In the past four weeks, I've deep-dived into the ideal Video settings for my R5. I was never happy with what the camera gave me, so I want to share the following insights just in case they may benefit some of you. It's going to be a bit long winded, read on if you're a nerd and perfectionist like me... Shout out to Jason of Points in Focus on YouTube, as well as Rodrigo Pollo, Josh Sattin and Todd Dominey, who were some of my many sources. There's also a Redditor that has highlighted the wonkiness of Cinema Gammut colors (hi!) and I agree with them.
  1. Shoot in LOG – IMO, yes, you should. Only this unlocks 10 Bit 4:2:2 which grades really well and runs smoothly provided you're on Silicone machines. Arguably, 10 Bit 4:2:2 h265 in LOG was the true game changing feature the R5 brought into the market, so take advantage.
  2. For LOG post production, the Canon LUTs work well if you expose as Canon thinks you should. This gets technical quickly and if you just follow the ETTR dogma, Canon's LUTs will clip your highlights into oblivion. A proper CST workflow in Resolve works better but is complicated for novices. In any case, you will have to test your exposure / CST / LUT workflow so I highly recommend you get yourself familiarised with Zebras and False Color tools (if you use an external monitor). The histogram on the R5 is absolutely useless for video exposure. Clipped highlights, not noisy shadows, are the biggest weakness of the R5's image, in my opinion.
  3. But which LOG flavour and color space? This comes down to your taste, but I have found the following produces the most natural looking footage. I shoot CLOG 1 / BT 2020 at a base ISO of 400. Like everyone else, I jumped on the CLOG 3 / Cinema Gammut Train when the firmware update hit, but I just didn't like the footage 90% of the time. It is proven that the sensor's dynamic range in photography mode is better at ISO 400 than it is at 800 (not surprising) in the Electronic shutter mode (which is what the R5 also uses for video). It's not a huge difference from 800 to 400, but it's there - half to one stop. This was also revealed in the CineD tests – both of them, the initial one as well as the one when they re-tested with CLOG 3. In the manual, Canon claims that CLOG 3 has more dynamic range then CLOG – in theory, maybe. The curve may be designed to give more DR. But on the R5? None of the tests you can find online have properly proven this. The DR is distributed differently, but not necessarily increased. There ARE tests, however, that show the sensor performs better at ISO 400 - so that's what I go with. Bonus: Why not use BT 709? Well, that would defeat the purpose of capturing LOG at 10 Bit 4:2:2 in the first place. You would be throwing out a bunch of color information already at capture.
  4. There can be severe horizontal Banding in underexposed areas. When I first saw this, I couldn't believe my eyes (check out Josh Sattin's comparison of Z8 with R5 on YouTube to see what I mean). A 5K€ camera was producing big horizontal chunky lines of banding running across the image. I contacted Canon and they claimed not to be able to see anything. WTF. I thought my camera was broken. Then I found this in the manual: With Canon Log, movies may be affected by horizontal banding, depending on the subject or shooting conditions. So I didn't imagine things. It's right there. In. The. Manual. To avoid this, expose correctly. In practical use, a non issue, but still leaves a bitter taste.
  5. Cinema Gammut, avoid. In my experience, it gives crazy saturation to red, magenta, orange. It may be a wider color space than 2020, but it can look extremely unnatural. I had rare occasions where it did work well, for example with greens and blues, but skin tones were always a pain point. (If you do want to use CLOG 3 and Cinema Gammut, I suggested you go to -1 saturation in the Canon Log Settings.) I realise this point is the most subjective, so if you have a great CineGammut workflow running, I applaud you!
  6. External Recording – it may work for some of you, but I never bothered. What turns me off the Ninjas is their cost, the noisy fan and hunger for batteries as well as bulk and weight. I shoot mostly Gimbal work nowadays and every gram counts. I bit the bullet and got the fastest Card on the market for internal shooting. If you do use Ninjas, note this: The HDMI interface on the R5 is version 2.0 and it does NOT transmit Cinema Gammut correctly, so set to BT 2020. You will still have to mess around with the legalize settings and post-production hassle (ProRes RAW doesn't work on the dominant Color grading software, Resolve). For me it's a no. Bonus: Make sure your HDMI cable is at least a 2.0 version!
  7. Sound: Manual recording set to a quarter strength gives you the best audio dynamic range (nod to Jason of Points in Focus, who tested this). Run your mic hot-ish and you'll be fine at this level, it works well with the Rode or Sennheiser video mics. If audio is important for you, AVOID IPB Light as it uses compressed AAC audio. The non-compressed LPCM at 48 Khz / 16 Bit that you get with ALL-I, RAW, IPB is pretty decent and noise-free.
  8. I can't stress this enough: avoid Auto White Balance! The R5 dials in aggressive amounts of Tint "correction" to combat any perceived color shifts. It just doesn't work well at all unless you're in perfectly clean 6500K daylight. If you shoot LOG h265, getting White Balance right is critical to getting good skintones. Log doesn't mean RAW, you ARE baking color into the image. Unfortunately the Custom WB function is a mess in R5 for video, but you can actually eyeball this quite well off a monitor, if said monitor is set up correctly with a LUT. I use a color meter (LUMU Power 2) to verify, and it helps.
  9. Rolling Shutter. 8K RAW as well as 4K HQ give you the most rolling shutter at about 15 ms and this is certainly visible in faster paced Gimbal work. Rolling shutter drops to around 9 ms in regular 4K, which is what I now use for Gimbal work. Though it's not a full halving, it's a significant, visible improvement for any panning. I still shoot talking heads in 4K HQ as the Rolling shutter is not an issue with static work. As for my Canon Log settings, I go +1 sharpening for 4K HQ and +3 for regular 4K. That matches them reasonably well.
  10. 12-Bit RAW has about another half to one stop more DR in the highlights, but is also tougher and more fiddly to grade than the 10 Bit H265. It also defaults to CineGammut so it has the same tendency towards saturated reds. (CRAW gets decoded by default as CineGammut in Resolve.) I tend to prefer the look of the 10 Bit 4:2:2 shot in BT 2020 in terms of color. If you do shoot RAW, I again recommend setting to CLOG 1 in camera – not because that Log curve gets baked into the image (it doesn't), but because it unlocks you ISO 400 shooting. RAW capture at ISO 400 in Clog 1 will then allow you to decode in Resolve using the CLOG 2 curve at ISO 400 and reach the theoretical maximum of DR in terms of any video material from the R5.
Point 11 was going to be a wishlist for better features etc. but then I realised, I could buy a R5C... But honestly, the crappy battery performance of that camera really is a deal breaker for me.
Sorry for the long post but I really hope this may help some of you. Good luck and happy shooting!

Picture this - you've just brought home your latest addition to the gun collection, and you're eager to find the perfect safe to store it. That's where the Kodiak KBX5940 comes in. This 57-long gun safe, with a fire protection time of 40 minutes, is more than just a regular safe. Its exterior dimensions are spacious at 59"H x 40"W x 23"D (not including handle), leaving plenty of room for your collection to grow.
But what sets this safe apart from the rest are its security features. The UL Listed electronic lock and CA DOJ certified firearm safety device ensure that your guns are safely stored. The SafeX security system, with its revolutionary anti-pry technology, interlocks the body and door together, providing an added layer of protection against unwanted access. And let's not forget the hardened armor plate and spring-loaded relocker; it's a shield against any potential drill attacks.
The Kodiak KBX5940 is not just functional, but it's also stylish. The deluxe door organizer, with handgun holders and pockets, adds a touch of elegance. But whether you're a rookie or an experienced gun enthusiast, the Kodiak KBX5940 57 Long Gun Safe is a reliable, secure, and practical investment for your firearm collection.

🔗Fireproof Gun Safe with Electronic Lock and Alarm U Function

I recently purchased the Wasatch 18 Gun Safe, and it exceeded my expectations. Its sleek design and durability have been impressive so far. The fireproof features stood out to me, and I appreciate that it can handle a temperature of up to 1400 degrees Fahrenheit for 30 minutes. The waterproof aspect is also reassuring since it can withstand up to 2 feet of water for 72 hours, which is a great feature to have in case of accidents.
One thing I found particularly useful is the electronic lock with the alarm U function. I love the theft alert and deterrent alert features that give me peace of mind. The backup key is also a great touch for added security. The external hinges allow for a full 180-degree opening, providing excellent access to all my valuables.
The interior door storage and lever handle have been quite convenient. The 1.5-inch active locking bolts and 2 dead bolts also add an extra layer of security. However, I did find out that the safe is not designed to hold 18 guns – instead, it can accommodate 3-4 short rifles or 8 handguns, which I find a bit limiting.
One downside is that the safe is quite heavy, so assistance is needed when setting it up. I would also recommend having a secure and convenient spot for it as it includes a bolt-down kit to prevent theft. Overall, I'm pleased with my purchase, and I believe the Wasatch 18 Gun Safe is a great value for its price.

🔗Wasatch 24 Gun Fire and Water Safe with Anti-Theft Electronic Lock

https://preview.redd.it/nv8jqtqy7d1d1.jpg?width=720&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=d30004d4970528725452398133a8ad0e6fc8a481
I recently had the opportunity to try out the Wasatch 24 Gun Fire and Water Safe with E-Lock 24EGW, and I must say, I was impressed. This fireproof and waterproof safe is perfect for gun enthusiasts who want to protect their precious belongings from potential damage.
One of the most impressive features of this safe is its backlit electronic lock, which comes with an Alarm-U function. The alarm notifies you of any attempted theft, and the backup key provides an extra layer of security. I loved that it offered external hinges, allowing for a full 180-degree opening, making it effortless to access my safe.
The interior door storage and 3-spoke handle design were another bonus that I found extremely useful. Additionally, the safe is equipped with 3 1.5-inch active locking bolts and 2 dead bolts that effectively deter any potential intruders.
However, I did notice that the safe is quite heavy, which can make transportation difficult. The size of the box also seemed to be larger than originally estimated, which was a bit of a hassle.
Overall, my experience with the Wasatch 24 Gun Fire and Water Safe with E-Lock 24EGW has been positive. I feel confident that my valuables are safely guarded, thanks to its impressive fire and water resistance capabilities. While there were a few minor drawbacks, they do not outweigh the fantastic features of this safe.

🔗Ironman 5200 Gun Safe - High Security, 44 Gun Capacity, Fire Resistant

https://preview.redd.it/kqn69f3z7d1d1.jpg?width=720&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=f48b0fb17e8725750dc3560d5f7b8d57509995ca
I recently had the opportunity to try out the Ironman Safe, and let me tell you, it's like no other safe I've ever used. The thickness of the body and door, both made of 10-gauge steel, instantly made me feel more secure as I prepared to store my valuable long guns inside. This 44-gun capacity safe really is a game-changer when it comes to peace of mind.
One of the features that stood out to me the most was the drill hard plate located behind the lock, which prevents unauthorized access by drilling or punching. And if the unthinkable happens and someone manages to break in, the relocking device immediately activates, making it impossible for them to open the safe.
But it's not all about security. With a 2-hour firewall rating for fire resistance, the Ironman Safe also keeps your firearms safe in case of an accident or emergency. The 1-square locking bolts and continuous 3/4-solid steel locking bar provide excellent burglary resistance, giving you one less thing to worry about when protecting your valuables.
A minor downside is the weight, at 1100 pounds, it can be quite a challenge to move around. However, the extra sturdiness and security it provides make it worth the effort. Overall, the Ironman Safe has been a reliable and effective storage solution for my long guns, and I would definitely recommend it to anyone looking for the same level of peace of mind.

🔗Remington Gun Club 4-Gun Fireproof and Waterproof Gun Safe

https://preview.redd.it/jptgm7ez7d1d1.jpg?width=720&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=46ff56c3d58d9cc0ab61f14426b69b3d16925abd
I've been using the Remington Gun Club 36 Plus Gun Safe for quite some time now, and I must say it's lived up to its reputation of offering consistent, secure, and feature-filled protection for my collection. The fireproof and waterproof capabilities are a lifesaver, as I've always been worried about those catastrophes. The programmable electronic lock gives me peace of mind, knowing that my collection is safely locked away.
As for the interior, the full carpeting and quilted door organizer make it feel like a VIP treatment for my guns. The only drawback I've noticed is slightly limited storage capacity for a truly extensive collection, but other than that minor inconvenience, I'm absolutely pleased with its performance.

🔗Cascade Gun Safe with Advanced Security Features and 35 Gun Capacity

https://preview.redd.it/d1fg8xwz7d1d1.jpg?width=720&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=47ca2345a2ae41d76ef1c3e8570b7d54dcd253c8
The Cascade Gun Safe is an impressive piece of equipment for gun enthusiasts. I decided to use it in a hunting trip, and it was an eye-opener. The SafeX Security System is a breath of fresh air for a gun safe; it's both a pro and a con for me as I appreciate its innovation yet find it challenging. The fire protection of 60 minutes was reassuring on that chilly morning. The Heat Activated Palusol Fire Door Seal, when expanded, does an effective job of keeping heat and smoke at bay.
The electronic lock with the added security of a hardened armor plate and spring-loaded relocker felt like a well-thought-out feature. This wasn't the first time I encountered a lock being drilled, so it was a relief to have this safety measure in place. The anti-tamper clutched handle was a great idea, making it harder for someone to easily carry off the safe. It was easily pre-drilled to bolt to the floor, providing a steadier foundation.
It held up to 35 long guns with a capacity that met the practical needs of avid hunters. The external dimensions were fairly accurate, making it a good fit for my limited space. The textured powder-coat finish and interior upholstery looked great, though the heather interior seemed a bit too delicate for the rough wilderness we find ourselves in.
One concern I had was the safety of my items with the deluxe door organizer. I wish the gun holders and pockets on the organizer had a more secure clasp on them. Despite the minor hiccups, the Cascade Gun Safe proved to be an overall top-notch investment for anyone serious about gun safety and fire protection.

Buyer's Guide

Selecting a Cascade gun safe can be a considerable investment, with factors such as interior space, exterior style, and mechanical components all playing essential roles in decision-making. It's crucial to understand these components and make an informed decision to ensure your firearms remain protected and secure.

Look for a safe with a solid one-piece steel construction, multiple locking mechanisms (e. g. , mechanical and electronic), and a heavy-duty door. Some models may also include optional add-ons, such as fire protection or digital lock systems, which can enhance your safe's overall security features.

Ease of Use and Maintenance

2024.05.19 13:03 McCulloughK Active Effects - Class Feature Mechanism Implementation [Predator's Focus]

Active Effects - Class Feature Mechanism Implementation [Predator's Focus]
[D&D5e] Please help!
I am trying to implement a feature for a game in the 5e System, using Midi QoL and DAE. I have currently been able to implement most of the parts of it, but I am unable to nail down some parts, and am unable to get some other parts to work at the same time... I would appreciate some advice on how to implement the feature, and whether there are any other modules or features of Foundry that I should be using to do so.
please see said feature, where I have highlighted the relevant mechanical parts below:

Predator’s Focus

Beginning at 1st level, as an action, or when you target a creature with a weapon attack, you may expend a use of your predator's focus feature to mark the creature as your prey. The creature remains marked until either of you drop to 0 hit points, or you mark a new creature as your prey.
You have a pool of 2 focus die, size d4, which recharge at the beginning of your turn. You may expend a focus die to give yourself a bonus to the attack or damage roll of a weapon attack made against your prey, equal to the roll of the expended die. You can make this choice after the roll, but before you know the result. Additionally, you may add your focus die to any Wisdom (Perception) or Wisdom (Survival) check you make to find it.
You have one use of this feature, which you regain on a short rest. You gain more uses of this feature as you level up, shown in the Prey column of the class table.
You may expend a spell slot to gain one use of this feature per level of the slot expended, up to your maximum number of uses.
Beginning at 6th level, you may expend 2 uses of this feature to increase the size of your focus die pool to 3 [I may want this to be that the size of the die increases instead]. As you level up, you can expend more uses to increase your focus die pool, as shown in Predator Pool table below.

Required Mechanisms

  • Target a creature to designate prey
  • Add optional extra dice to attack and damage rolls
    • May be any number of extra dice to be added
    • Preferably only against the designated creature, not a requirement
  • Have a pool of these dice that may be used each turn
    • Pool needs to reset each turn
    • The size of the pool should be configured upon activating the feature
      • Alternatively, the size of the die could increase, whilst the size of the pool remains the same
Example
  1. Player attacks an enemy, marking them as their prey.
  2. Upon marking them as their prey, they decide how many uses of the feature they wish to expend, which sets EITHER the size of the pool or the size of the die used in the feature.
  3. Once they go to attack their prey, they receive a prompt asking if they wish to add 1 or more dice to the roll. This is repeated for the damage roll.
  4. Any dice used, are taken away from their pool of dice.
  5. At the end of their turn, the pool of dice resets.

Current Implementation

I am currently trying to use a combination of the 5e sheet configurable resources, Midi QoL Optional Flags and Effect Macros, to achieve parts of this.
  • A class feature is being used for the Predator's Focus item
  • This feature applies a 'prey' effect to a targeted creature (this currently does nothing)
  • It also applies a 'focus' effect to the user of the feature, which:
    • Uses the midi-qol optional flags to create a pop-up prompting the user to add a d4 to an attack roll or damage roll
    • Uses the optional flag 'count' feature to decrement a 'focus' resource set on the user's sheet
    • Uses an effect macro to reset the resource to its maximum value each turn

Issues
  • The 'prey' effect is a dummy, which just tags a creature but does nothing active, meaning that the 'focus' pop up is applied to all attack rolls, not just those against the prey
  • All of the values are hard coded:
    • I have set the max value for the die pool resource manually, it is not configured by number of uses of the feature expended
    • The effect macro sets the resource back to exactly this hard coded max value, it doesn't pull out the maximum value from the resource data
https://preview.redd.it/dkj7mn0t6d1d1.png?width=555&format=png&auto=webp&s=da48f2abd3ef68259ea6c3624e45037c0681a37e
  • The pop-up only allows for one die to be added, not multiple
  • Unless the effect is set to be passive (which means that rolling the feature does not apply the effect, you have to manually turn the effect on and off on the user), using the optional flag 'count' on the resource doesn't decrement the resource on the sheet, and removes the effect once the resource would have been used up (not sure if this is a bug)
Please can somebody help me figure out how I can implement this better?? I am really struggling to find a solid knowledge base that seems to answer any of these questions in a more general sense. Even trying to find out how to set the resource back to 'whatever it's maximum might be' instead of having to hard code it as 3 has been a challenge.

2024.05.19 13:02 wheatflats I've tried so many budgets and they always fail. I'm bad with numbers. Help?!

Sorry if this has been asked in different ways before.
I'm in my mid-30s and I've tried many times in the past to make a budget but can never make it work. I've tried various methods from very simple (writing down each transaction in a book), so different spreadsheet templates, to using the automated budget sections of apps like Monzo or Revolut, but I can never stick with it or even understand on a basic level what is going on.
I am bad with numbers generally but I find money basically impossible to understand. I don't know where to begin with simple things like working out how much I want to or could save each month, or how much to budget for things like eating out. Any time I spend any amount of money the number balloons to some vague but huge number in my head. Even if I'm just buying a cup of coffee my brain says "well you've overspent so that's it for the month" and I try and avoid spending any amount of money at all unless I absolutely have to.
I've never known what my monthly outgoings are even though I try often to work it out. Numbers become blurred and I lose track very quickly. An example - I had to borrow some money from my folks when a relationship ended and I had to cancel a lease on a flat. They lent me some money to cover a shortfall with those costs and I couldn't work out what the difference between say, £1000 and £1400 was. When I try and either break my monthly pay check into expenses, leisure, etc., the numbers break apart in my head and I can't piece it back together, or if I try and do the opposite, the numbers balloon into something ridiculous and I can't parse it. This isn't all of it but I find it hard to articulate.
I want to buy a house some day but right now I wouldn't be able to answer any of the basic questions the bank would have, so that becomes an obstacle I put in front of myself.
All of this makes day to day living very stressful and I am sick of it, but I don't know what a solution is that would work for me.
Is there any way I can get around this? I feel I am basically innumerate when it comes to money and it is stressful and embarrassing.

2024.05.19 13:01 londontradingcompany The Inevitability of Short Seller Losses and Squeezes in SoundHound Inc. Stock

Thesis: The Inevitability of Short Seller Losses and Squeezes in SoundHound Inc. Stock
Abstract
This thesis explores the factors that could lead to significant losses and potential squeezes for short sellers of SoundHound Inc. stock. By examining the company's competitive advantages, market position, technological innovations, and financial metrics, the study aims to provide a comprehensive analysis of why short sellers might face unfavorable outcomes over time. The analysis will include case studies, historical precedents, and theoretical frameworks relevant to short-selling dynamics and stock market behavior.

Introduction

SoundHound Inc., a prominent player in the voice recognition and artificial intelligence industry, has garnered substantial attention from investors and analysts alike. While some market participants are bullish on the company's prospects, short sellers have targeted the stock, betting on its decline. This thesis posits that short sellers of SoundHound Inc. will likely incur losses or be forced to cover their positions due to several key factors including the company's technological leadership, strategic partnerships, growing market demand, and positive financial trajectory.

Technological Leadership and Innovation

SoundHound's cutting-edge technology in speech recognition and natural language processing sets it apart from competitors. The company's continuous investment in research and development has resulted in robust and sophisticated voice AI solutions. Innovations such as advanced voice query processing, intelligent voice assistants, and comprehensive voice-enabled platforms provide a strong foundation for future growth. These technological advancements not only enhance the company's product offerings but also create high barriers to entry for new competitors, solidifying SoundHound's market position.

Strategic Partnerships and Market Position

SoundHound has established strategic partnerships with major industry players, integrating its technology into a wide array of applications and devices. Collaborations with automotive manufacturers, smart device producers, and software companies extend the reach of SoundHound's solutions and foster widespread adoption. These partnerships are crucial for driving revenue growth and expanding market presence. As the adoption of voice-enabled technologies increases, SoundHound is well-positioned to capture a significant share of the market, thereby boosting investor confidence and stock value.

Growing Market Demand

The global market for voice recognition and AI-driven solutions is experiencing rapid growth. With the increasing popularity of smart devices, virtual assistants, and hands-free interfaces, the demand for advanced voice recognition technology is set to rise. SoundHound, with its innovative solutions and established market presence, is poised to benefit from this trend. The company's ability to meet and exceed market expectations will likely lead to sustained revenue growth, positively impacting its stock price and making it a less attractive target for short sellers.

Financial Trajectory and Performance

SoundHound's financial performance, characterized by consistent revenue growth, improving margins, and prudent cost management, further supports the thesis that short sellers will face challenges. Strong financial health, demonstrated by positive earnings reports and forward-looking guidance, will attract long-term investors and discourage short selling. Additionally, any positive earnings surprise or favorable financial forecast could trigger a short squeeze, forcing short sellers to cover their positions at a loss.

Historical Precedents and Theoretical Frameworks

Historical precedents indicate that innovative companies with strong market positions and growing demand often experience stock price appreciation, contrary to short sellers' expectations. The theoretical framework of short squeezes, where short sellers rush to cover their positions due to rising stock prices, further reinforces the potential for losses. Market psychology, investor sentiment, and momentum trading can amplify these dynamics, exacerbating the impact on short sellers.

Case Studies

Several case studies of companies in similar positions to SoundHound will be examined to illustrate the potential outcomes for short sellers. Notable examples include Tesla, Netflix, and Amazon, where short sellers faced significant losses due to the companies' strong fundamentals, market dominance, and investor optimism. These case studies provide valuable insights into the mechanisms and outcomes of short squeezes and long-term stock appreciation.

Conclusion

In conclusion, the combination of SoundHound's technological innovation, strategic partnerships, growing market demand, and strong financial performance creates a challenging environment for short sellers. The likelihood of sustained stock price appreciation and the potential for short squeezes suggest that short sellers will face significant risks and potential losses over time. This thesis underscores the importance of understanding market dynamics and company fundamentals when engaging in short selling and highlights the potential pitfalls of betting against innovative, high-growth companies like SoundHound Inc.

2024.05.19 13:00 ExplanationOk2757 what is considered being fluent in a language?

so i was thinking about studying a new language but i wanna see if i need to improve in any other language first. for example, i speak greek but sometimes i read a bit slow and my vocab can be seen as small, but i can handle a conversation in greek really well, is that being fluent?
what many people consider being fluent is being able to speak the language perfectly or almost perfectly. which means having a huge vocab, perfect grammar, perfect pronunciation, basically being able to blend in with native speakers.
though ive also seen that being fluent is being comfortable with the language, like not having to always "translate" what you hear or being able to speak the language at the pace you normally speak in your native language. sometimes knowing the language well enough to understand its slang can be considered reaching the "fluent speaker" level.
so what exactly can make someone be considered a fluent speaker in a language?
btw sorry for possibly using the wrong tag if i did use the wrong one

2024.05.19 12:56 Physical-Craft-6389 As an Account, when do you go client-side?

Hi folks, I'm an Account Executive with one year of experience at one of the larger agencies in my country. I've been thinking about my long-term career goals, and one of them is to become a marketing director for a well known brand. For several reasons, I know I'll eventually switch to client side due to better job security, higher pay, improved work-life balance, etc.
My question is, when is the ideal time to make this switch? Is 2-3 years of agency experience sufficient to land an interesting in-house marketing/brand manager position, or is it better to stay on the agency path for a few more years? For example, should I wait until I reach a (senior) account manager or account director level before moving to client side to secure a more senior role?
