Hello Im a fellow mid level Tech, I’m more of a brake and suspension guy at my work but wanted to use my car as a start to up my skills. I have an 06 Kia spectra with a 2.0l and I started noticing the a/c only blows cold for about 5-7 minutes and then only blows warm air.I started by inspecting the hi and lo side ports and noticed that pressure was let out when I unscrewed the caps off both ports it sounded as if I opened a soda bottle. I also noticed the inside of the caps were kind of moist and smelt like refrigerant so I sprayed both ports with soapy water and they do have a small leak. I have a set of manifold gauges as shown and set them up to see where the hi and lo side were at. The first picture is with the car off and A/C off and the second picture is with the car and A/C on. Because of the leaking Schrader valves I know the system is low on refrigerant.I also noticed the a/c compressor was not cycling at all. However cold air was blowing for about 15 minutes with the gauges hooked up until I decided to shut the car off. When I unplugged the gauges from the ports I noticed the high side gauge was still pressurized even though I made sure it was all the way open and heard it releasing the pressure when I un plugged it. Based on what I said and looking at the readings will replacing the schrader valves and recharging the system solve the problem or do the readings also show another problem? I have to wait until the weekend to use my jobs equipment for an evac and recharge but for now I just want to know if it’s just the Schrader valve leaks that cause warm air after a couple minutes or if there’s more to it? The temperature outside was at 81 Fahrenheit.

I really want to replace this gas hob with an induction one.
Will I need a gas engineer to come cap off the gas line or is it enough for me to just close the tap in picture 3? The gas pipe goes straight from photo 3 into 2 just next to it.

Found this part rattling inside the gas tank of my 2013 Triumph Tiger Explorer. I was replacing the fuel sender unit that was throwing computer errors. The old unit was missing a white cap (that the new one had) so I went fishing (the tank was emptied, as the service manual states, but there was still some swill left) and I found the white cap and this piece. I cannot seem to make it fit anywhere around the sender or the pump assembly. The exploded diagram from the auto parts store doesn’t seem to show anything that matches. Closest thing is 19, the filler baffle. But can’t seem to find a good picture of this part to compare. Any thoughts? Many thanks in advance.

I've bought a few squeeze bottles to store my soy sauces and oyster sauce, just to find out that the caps aren't air tight, they're just kind of hanging on to the nozzle.
Are they good to use or do I need to look for a different set that are more sealed? I usually go through the amount pictures in about a month and a half ~ two months btw.

I just finished this build and noticed this gap between the barrel and slide will this be an issue ? It’s a factory sig barrel and zev slide

Hi! Probably because take most of my pictures in Guangzhou, Hong Kong and Macau, TTartisan offered me to test their new 56mm f1.8 and make some review videos for my Instagram (@kungfundidos). It's a lens that I find very interesting, although in this focal range we already have several alternatives from Sigma, Meike, or the wonderful Fuji XF56 F1.2 (although this one is much more expensive). So first, I wrote this "short" review and next week I'll be making the videos.

I think it's important to mention that I am not a professional photographer, just a street photography enthusiast, so don't expect a very technical review but rather an honest exploration of how this lens meets my needs as a street photographer. After all, those who need the highest quality and sharpness for work or passion will always end up buying a "native" lens instead of opting for more economical options. Will this lens meet my needs on the demanding streets of China?

Construction and Design (3.5/5)
My first impression of the TTArtisan AF 56mm F1.8 is that it seems like a robust and relatively compact lens. With dimensions of 65mm in diameter and 62mm in length, the TTArtisan AF 56mm F1.8 falls into a fairly acceptable size range for a 56mm lens. However, it's impossible to achieve something as compact as the Fuji XF50 f2. Additionally, it is not a very heavy lens, weighing 236g, so it shouldn't cause hand fatigue. A standout feature of the TTArtisan AF 56mm F1.8 is its metal construction, unlike other manufacturers like Viltrox, who have opted for plastic in their more affordable lenses. This gives it a plus in quality, a feeling of greater durability and solidity in hand
I find the manual focus ring very comfortable, with a quite good tactile response. It doesn't have a switch to change from autofocus to manual focus, but I don't see this as a major problem since most Fuji cameras have this switch on the camera body. However, I do see an issue with the lack of an aperture ring. I think many of us choose Fuji cameras for their manual controls, and for me, this is a key point. You lose a lot of usability, especially if you do street photography. When I go out with my XF23 f2, I usually set it to f8.0 and open the aperture as night falls or if I need shallow depth of field for a specific shot. This is not as intuitive with lenses without an aperture ring.
Lastly, the lens hood, which I find essential as it provides additional protection against glare and unwanted reflections, which are often problematic with Chinese manufacturers. Personally, I really like the design, and it's also metal, but it has a problem. If you want to cap the lens, you have to remove the hood, put the cap on, and then put the hood back on. Not only that, if you put on a UV filter or a diffuser filter, you can't use the cap because there's not enough space between the filter and the cap and the hood. A rather strange choice.
Autofocus (4/5)
The TTArtisan AF 56mm F1.8 offers pretty good autofocus, although coming from the 23mm F2, I noticed some shortcomings. While the focusing speed is fast, it's a bit slower than Fuji lenses, and I noticed some "focus hunting," especially in low light conditions. However, it focuses better than I expected. I think for "patient" photography, it won't be a problem, but I usually shoot in AF-C mode (often while walking or even biking), and here I did notice some focusing issues (few), but it's not a Fuji

Image Quality and Optical Performance (4/5)
The image quality offered by the TTArtisan AF 56mm F1.8 impresses me, exceeding my expectations, especially considering its price. During my tests on the bustling streets of Guangzhou, I was impressed with the center sharpness even at f1.8.

In terms of performance at different apertures, the TTArtisan AF 56mm F1.8 offers quite consistent results. From f1.8 to f5.6, the lens maintains very good sharpness in the center and middle area of the frame, with a slight drop in quality at the extreme corners. Since this is a lens mainly used for portraits, I don't think this loss of corner sharpness is too severe.
Chromatic aberration correction and distortion reduction have improved significantly compared to other lenses from the brand. Distortion is minimal, and chromatic aberrations are well-controlled.

I also own a TTartisan 27mm f2.8, which shows quite pronounced vignetting at its maximum aperture. Personally, I like this effect as it adds a touch of character, although I understand it's not ideal. However, in the TTartisan AF 56mm F1.8, this effect is moderate and can be easily corrected in post-production.
Bokeh
The bokeh performance of this lens is quite uniform, with minimal distortion, resulting in pleasant and aesthetically appealing bokeh. However, it can become a bit nervous at long distances. For some, this might be a positive point.

Conclusions
After spending time with the lens on the streets of Guangzhou, I feel I've found a new photographic companion, at least temporarily. I'm not an expert, but as I said, this lens has exceeded my expectations. It is clear that this lens offers very good performance in all kinds of situations, although it might fall short for product photography. It combines good focusing, excellent image quality, and an amazing price. For photographers looking for a good, beautiful, and affordable lens, the TTArtisan AF 56mm F1.8 is an option worth considering.

Yesterday I noticed this black capped chickadee feeding these 2 baby robins. 2 had already left the nest and as of this morning we are officially empty nesters 🥲 but the chickadee keeps coming back to the empty nest with small bits of food.
I posted a picture in birdwatching, and someone had thought maybe the chickadee had a nest failure, a nest close by, or maybe these chickadees are just kind 🥹

So Father's Day is coming up and I wanted to do something different for my old man. Pictured here is his baby. He bought this truck brand new in 2011 and it only has 54,000 miles. He takes care of it to the best of his ability without having it under any sort of protection from the elements. The paint is fading a bit and the rims are peeling. He went out of town for a week, and I wanted to surprise him by having his rims powder coated back to the original silver. That's good and all, but the caps have also suffered an exceptional amount of wear. Could anyone point me in the right direction as to where I could acquire these bbs center caps? He bought the truck from the dealer with these on and I know they weren't a factory option. I appreciate any and all help! Happy truckin!

Just capped off my first day on Jardiance Duo (Synjardy) and I’m already seeing lower blood sugar results! My switch coincided with my decrease in bolus and basal, so I’m surprised I went lower.
Both tests on the picture were done before dinner and roughly 2hrs after. I actually ate more today because I felt a bit hypo before dinner. I also had three Ferrero Rocher chocolates (yes, three!) and a scoop of ice cream after dinner. I still couldn’t believe that my BG spike already went down after two hours! It used to take 3-4hrs before my BG goes back to less than 100.
Downside so far is I pee more times than I am used to but I’m fine with that. Also, I have this feeling sinking feeling that my heart is beating fast, however upon checking my Apple Watch, I was only at around 70-80 BPM. High BPM/sinking feeling is usually my body’s sign that I’m going hypo. I guess my body is just used to running high that I’m feeling hypo on a normal BG.
