Honestly alit of kids won't get to watch football bow on Christmas cause of this money grab.. I wouldn't have been able to watch when I was a kid if they did this in the 90s..my parents woylve never paid for it

im not sure when else to fit this in but this was when i (F19) was 17. well to start, to say "i went," was an understatement. my parents came into my room at 12 am on a sunday night with school the next day and said "we need to talk" followed by "we're sending you away." and within 3 hours i was on a flight across the country with 0 idea on where i was heading with 2 people i had never met before.
but before i get into all of that ill start from the beginning and give some back story; im not going to lie, i was a shit kid. i stole from my parents, anything from alcohol to money to their vapes. i snuck out on multiple occasions, i lied (A LOT). and this all sounds like typical teenage behavior until you factor in the serious mental health issues (depression, anxiety, etc) and serious drug use. and less important but i had straight A's until my behavior got worse and i started failing almost every class. so although my parents were epitome of helicopter parents, i cannot completely blame my parents for sending me where they did, especially after exhausting every other option they could think of, this was their last resort.
now back to me on a flight, my brain was exhausted and didnt want to fight anymore after i had screamed and cried about going for an hour straight so i slept both flights i got on, i barely remember going through the airports. i lived in the midwest at the time, never travelled west before and was never told where i was going, so imagine my surprise when i wake up in texas, i get on another flight, wake up again in colorado. ill spare the boring details but at this point i was filled in on what was happening and told id be joining my group in just a few hours then we'd all head to utah together. at this point im still getting fast food and the adults im travelling with are letting me pick the music in the car (little did i know this was like last time id experience anything "normal" like that for the next 100 days). now i join my group and it goes well, everyone is accepting and nice enough. we get to dinner, oh god, i think i cried bc it was just straight up burnt instant mashed potatoes. everyone else here was used to that, the last thing i ate just 4 hours ago was a chipotle burrito and a chocolate chip cookie. i know i sound like a drama queen but i did get used to it, eventually and things werent that bad once you figured out the tricks to make it better. and i know im making all of this sound like i was pretty unbothered but trust me i was LIVID with my parents. we could send each other a letter once a week, for the first month all i would write is "hi, im doing fine. -(my name)" i probably wouldnt send anything if my camp guides didnt make me.
now i know a big question a lot of people have about wilderness therapy programs are "did you get abused?" and the answer to that is no, not at all, and i never saw it happen either. there was a VERY strict no touching at all policy for both staff and kids. and any kid had to be with 3 people at all times (example, if it was a kid and a kid there had to be another staff with them, if there was a kid and a staff there had to another staff or another kid, basically kids couldnt be alone with anyone) it was definitely a legit program and im thankful everyday i did get fortunate to get to go to better one than others. every week we'd go on a hikes and camp at a different spot each night, we'd do that friday- monday. tuesday-thursday we'd do chores, showers, therapy sessions, etc. (yes, one shower a week, we were allowed to take more but we'd have to carry the shower bag and soap on trips with already 40 pound packs, and usually when we were done hiking it was near dark and time for dinner then bed, so i never saw anyone take more than one a week)
i dont know how all of this worked or when it clicked in my head that i cant be a little shit anymore but it did. 2 years later i can confidently say my parents and i's relationship has gotten significantly better. i moved out after wilderness bc i had my 18th birthday while there (trust me ik, it sucked, not to mention i also missed halloween, thanksgiving, my dads bday, christmas, and new years,) i moved to the east coast and moving out was probably the best decision, i had broke the news to my parents while in wilderness still, parents/siblings (my brothers stayed home for school) can visit about 2 months in for a few days, i dont think ill ever forget the shock on their faces when i told them i wasnt moving back in after this. i told them i was talking to my therapist about what they called aftercare which was essentially exactly what it sounds like, a place to go after wilderness therapy for more care.
my therapist and i had found a place on the east coast and my parents agreed to pay for it, seeing i was doing much better and they wanted to keep it going. after i got there and got access to my phone back, i did what any single newly 18 year old would do and downloaded tinder, within a week i had a date with a guy who after another 2 weeks became my boyfriend. (sounds fast i know, he told me he knew i was the one after he found out i could start a fire without fuel or a match, he's a big outdoorsy guy lmfao, thanks wilderness therapy for teaching me bow drilling?) he was really accepting and understanding of my situation, it was hard to see each other because i was still under strict rules in my aftercare (only allowed to leave for 2 hours a day without reason 24 hours ahead of time) but we made it work until i confided in him i was getting harassed by my roommate there. after that he moved me out with him within a couple weeks even though we hadnt even been with each other 2 months yet. (i say all of this for a reason, you'll see) now i dont know what me and him were thinking because i had just moved and had 0 money to my name, and he would go out of town for trips once a month which worked for him but now his rent and food costs doubled but we were determined to make it work, especially because we wanted to prove my therapist wrong who had said before i moved out of the aftercare house "if and when, because inevitable you will ask your parents for money because you wont be able to do this alone" this aftercare was supposed to help me get things like my GED, a job, my license, or anything else to help me become independent. and, 2 months of being there, they didn't do any of that. i was basically in the same state i showed up in.
so yes after moving in with my boyfriend we did struggle for about a month, then i got my GED, then a job and my license process started within 2 months. here i am a year and 3 months after moving in, we have our own place, i still have the same job, i have my license, i have a car, and obviously im still with the same guy.
i guess my point of this post were a couple things,

1. parents, please please please do your research before giving someone else complete care of your kid, i have no doubt in my mind that if i was sent somewhere worse for my mental health i would be a lost cause at this point if not worse, it is so extremely important that the '"help" you're giving is actually helpful
   
2. has any one else gone through something similar? havent met many with the same type of backstory.
   
3. there is hope and things do get better.

(Note to the reader: This one is said to take place in the early to mid 1990s. I asked him what his first memory was and he recanted this story with such detail on the spot. I cross examined him a few times to see if he'd slip on some of the details but he never did. Here is his story.)
I opened my eyes so fast with out warning or thought. I don't know what triggered my sudden awaking other than the fact that it's Christmas. I focus on my bed room window and see that the sun wasn't even up yet. It was still dark but no longer the pitch of midnight. Knowing that it was Christmas day prevented me from returning back to sleep. The curiosity provoked motivation to go see if Santa came!
Tossing the covers off me I lightly slide out of bed and begin sneaking out of my bedroom. I noticed the kitchen light was off indicating that Mom and Dad must still be sleeping. They didn't do anything before brewing coffee first thing in the morning. As I round the corner exiting the kitchen I slowly poke my head out to see if any one was out in the living room. "Nobody's up yet, I'm the first one" I think to myself as I tip toe further into the living room to see the coffee table where we had left a plate of cookies and a cup of milk for Santa. Next to it was a note my brother Tom and I had written the night before asking Santa for an autograph. But nothing had been disturbed.
I went over to the tree to inspect the presents only to see the same few that Mom and Dad put there a couple of days ago. I was confused, sad and disappointed. Just staring at the unchanged environment wondering if I was in fact a Good Boy this last year. Why hadn't Santa visited us? A tear slipped out of the corner of my eye, tickling my check. I sat on the couch and let the feelings wash over me. Maybe that time I called Tom "Dumbo" because he has big ears. Or the time I got him in trouble for taking the last of the cookies, even though I did. What if it was something far worse than being naughty or nice? What if it was much deeper like what Billy from my class said. He said His older brother is in the Sixth grade and says that it's all a lie. There is no North Pole. There is no Reindeer. There is no Elves. There is no Santa. I thought that was just another move of his, being the class bully and all. I just thought, well of course Santa exists. Billy is just an ugly bully. Well he's not really a bully but he looks like one.
I burry my head into one of the pillows and weep as quietly as I could. After a few minutes I must have fallen back asleep because I was now dreaming that my family was lost outside in the snow and freezing. It was sunset and I was trying to find them to give them handwarmers that I had. I remembered crying there too. My tears kept freezing and turning into Eye sickles. I thought it was a silly pun too, even for a dream. I had all these Eye sickles around me making it hard to walk, not to unlike a couple feet of snow will do. As I was feeling the frustration of this seemingly loosing battle, I began to hear jingling in the blurry haze of the snowy slurry that blundered my abilities of sight and mobility. At first they were coming from ahead of me and then behind me. As I spun around to find the source of the noise, the jingling became more discernable and sounded like chains. Eventually the sound was swirling around me from all directions. Just as I felt like I was having a sensory over load, a new sound came into focus. The unmistakable sound of the snow crunching under the wait of something taking a step. And another. And another, even closer. I was whipping my head around in circles to try and spy the maker of this approach, but nothing. And as if standing behind me, something of the horned game type let out a Grunt and surge of hot air on the back of my neck and in my right ear. This caused every muscle in my body to contract and convulse in fright almost as if I had been shot.
Before I could let out a scream I woke up. I'm in the living room on the couch still. The sun was just rising and starting to shoot beams of gold warm light through the cracks of the blinds of the windows. they were bouncing off a few ornaments turning the living room into a circus of colors and light. It was quiet. Once my senses came too I surveyed the room. I notice the cookie plate now only held two cookies and one had a bite taken out of it. I gasped and leaned forward to inspect the cup. There was probably only a swig or two left. That sent me back into the couch in astonishment as I let out a small yip in excitement. I looked at the tree to be completely amazed at the beautiful sight. Presents stacked upon presents all around the tree. I couldn't even reach the tree there were so many. But right up in the front was a book for me with a big bow on it. It was a Mickey Mouse book; The Prince and the Pauper. I opened the book and a folded peice of paper fell out with what looked like a thin shaving of birch bark. I picked up the paper and opened it revealing it was the note Tom and I had left. There was no autograph from Santa. Just a bloody looking dirty hoof print.
(Final Notes: After Mr. Turner told me this story he got up and frantically began searching for something right there in his office. He pulled out a box and opened it shuffling through a bunch of papers and pictures and pulled out an old folded up piece of paper. unfolding it, he set it on his desk in front of me. It was the note. He allowed me to take a picture of it with my phone for proof. I have since gotten a new phone since this interview and am having a hard time locating it but as soon as I do, I will get it posted as soon as I can -Dev.)

So REBIRTHs Soundtrack is officially out and I‘m very happy. But do you know what will make me even happier? The Official Soundtrack Plus (or OST Plus for short)!
For those who don’t know. When REMAKE released, it had an official soundtrack released a couple of months after the game did. And then, come Christmas, a second official OST was released named OST plus and it contained everything they didn’t manage to put on the first OST.
Now some people might say "You need to buy 2 OSTs which together (if you want the CDs) cost over $100 dollars just to have the complete soundtrack? Wow! Square-Enix is at it once again overpricing everything they can.“
But REBIRTHs (and REMAKEs) first Soundtrack is already amazing and a good value! It has around 180 (or 210 if you bought the special edition) high quality pieces of music. It is a testament to REBIRTHs soundtrack that there is so much good music that isn’t on the first OST.
And I’m not talking about the Bow Wow Song. The tranquil, recorder version of the main theme that you hear on the cruise ship on your way to Costa Del Sol? Not on the first OST. The stealthy cool song you hear as you escape Kalm through the tunnel? Not on the first OST. Cait Siths theme you hear at the gold saucer? Not on the first OST.
The Music of the REMAKE trilogy so far has been absolutely incredible. And I can‘t wait until REBIRTHs OST plus releases so that I can listen to every piece of it!

When i (15) was 4 my dad had an affair when my brother(11) was going to be born in 2 weeks and my mum found out ,so they split up , about a year later my mum met my stepdad on a dating website , I met him and his daughter who was a year older than me , we hit it off (me and my soon to be step sister) and she kissed me and my step dad walked in and starting shouting at an autistic 5 year old me, then he left with his daughter and my mum said nothing of it , 3 months later he moved it , ( I think it was because of my mum struggling to pay for her new born baby , as my father gives little to nothing for child support )my stepdad moved in bringing his smoking and alcohol into our house , as a kid I used to make noises like clicking my tounge or humming , two weeks later they where banned , he always drinks 5 strong bows a day leading him to be extremely moany and aggressive , the rest of these years are a blur , I Remeber my brother broke his tv mistakenly with a toy lightsaber I got for my 7 birthday , he walked into my room smashed my tv and my lightsaber in half and stormed out , at 8 my mum and stepdad got married , fast forward to about when I was 10 I got my new Nintendo switch which I worked tirelessly to get, 300 pounds for a 10 year old is a lot , my stepdad used to hide it in draws for no reason then one day he put it under a heavy object and it smashed , add of the previous stuff that was happening before Is still happening by the way. Fast forward to when I was 11 , he kicked me out on Christmas Day and my dad had to come and get me of the street , for me this is the lowest thing he has done . I lived with my dad for a month and my mum finally let me come home . When I turned thirteen things got so bad I started to self harm because he made everything my fault and blamed it on me and my mum did nothing because she is so scared .hes stull drinking and has just stopped smoking and started vaping at this point . Fast forward to a month ago and he gets let go from his job and starts to take it out on me , my mum if she where to give me any money it would have to be in secret and treats like chocolate or anything like that , I hated school because I was being bullied and started to refuse to get up and my mum would try and take my phone and I hid it so she got mad stormed off to work and then bottled her anger up and took it out on me when she got home and I accidentally bumped into her in the kitchen and my stepdad saw and grabbed me by the throat and started trying to punch me and I stared to punch him eventually my mum pulled us apart and he’s been treating me like the dirt on his shoe for years , this is the last straw today because I was unwell in the morning I wasn’t aloud to come to my brother birthday dinner and was left At home with just a sandwich then my cousin messaged me asking me to bring a canculator to him for his exam and I was telling my mum and he shut the door in my face.

For thousands of years, and to this day, Christians of various kinds have tried to demonstrate the truth of Christianity by claiming that Jesus was prophesied about specifically in the Hebrew Scriptures. It is argued that Jesus fulfilled these prophecies about the Messiah in the OT and, therefore, is the promised one. Only Jesus could've fulfilled these Messianic prophecies, so they say. Additionally, Christian theology, building off the NT paradigm of quoting the OT, has claimed that the OT looks forward to the founding of Christianity and the formation of the Church.
What this post will argue is that this is anachronistic and that Christians are incorrect in their claims about the OT. The OT prophets do not look forward to a supposed Messiah figure who would arrive hundreds of years later in 1st century Roman Palestine or that this Messiah figure would crucified and raised from the dead. Nor do they prophesy the establishment of the Christian religion. Instead, the OT looks forward to an imminent, glorious, material restoration of ancient Israel meant to happen in their day, not centuries later when Christianity was founded. Nor is the OT looking forward to supposed events that have yet to happen, like the second coming of Jesus or a future restoration of the land of Israel. These were supposed to happen in ancient Israel but did not occur.
Before I begin, I would like to say that this is the consensus of biblical scholars and historians. This is not just my opinion or the opinion of secular skeptics. All critical scholars of the OT, including Jews, Christians, and non-religious ones, agree that OT needs to be understood in its ancient Israelite context. They agree that these texts and oracles are not about Jesus or the Church. If you want to read an excellent scholarly resource, I highly recommend John J. Collins, Introduction to the Hebrew Bible, 2018. He is a leading OT scholar at Yale and a Roman Catholic. The New Oxford Annotated Study Bible is also a beneficial resource, giving a critical scholarly introduction and notes to the Hebrew Bible.
For this post, I will look at some of the principal prophetic literature of the OT. I cannot analyze every single relevant passage.

Isaiah

The Book of Isaiah is among the most popular books in ancient Judaism and Christianity. I could be wrong, but I believe it is the most cited book in the NT after Psalms. This is relevant to this discussion because Christians cite many passages in Isaiah, believing them to be predictions about Jesus. This precedent is set in the NT, for example, in Matthew's or Luke's gospel. However, Jesus/Christianity is not prophesied in the book. Instead, Isaiah predicts the imminent restoration of the Kingdom of Israel and the gathering of the twelve tribes.
Let's examine Isaiah 7:14, a passage often misconstrued as a prophecy about Jesus. In reality, it's not a prophecy about the Messiah at all. The passage states, 'Therefore the Lord himself will give you a sign. Look, the young woman is with child and shall bear a son and shall name him Immanuel.' This is not about a virgin giving a miraculous birth. The word used here is 'almah ', which simply means young woman. If Isaiah intended to convey that this woman was a virgin, there was a word for that, 'betulah '. Matthew's use of the Greek translation of Isaiah 7:14, which is a mistranslation of the Hebrew, as a prophecy about Jesus's virgin birth is a misinterpretation. The context of Isaiah 7 is an oracle of consolation given to King Ahaz, promising him a sign through the birth of a son that Jerusalem will be preserved from the Assyrian crisis.
'For before the child knows how to refuse the evil and choose the good, the land before whose two kings you are in dread will be deserted. The Lord will bring on you and on your people and on your ancestral house such days as have not come since the day that Ephraim departed from Judah—the king of Assyria. On that day the Lord will whistle for the fly that is at the sources of the streams of Egypt and for the bee that is in the land of Assyria. And they will all come and settle in the steep ravines and in the clefts of the rocks and on all the thornbushes and on all the watering holes. On that day the Lord will shave with a razor hired beyond the River—with the king of Assyria—the head and the hair of the feet, and it will take off the beard as well.'

There is a cluster of oracles in Isaiah 9-11 that Christians cite as a prophecy about Jesus. But when we look at the context of Isaiah 7-12, we see that these are about the restoration of Zion and the re-establishment of a Davidic king who would rule in the ancient Near East in Israel, not in 1st-century Judea.
Let's look at some of the famous passages.
'For a child has been born for us, a son given to us; authority rests upon his shoulders, and he is named Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace. Great will be his authority, and there shall be endless peace for the throne of David and his kingdom. He will establish and uphold it with justice and with righteousness from this time onward and forevermore. The zeal of the Lord of hosts will do this.' 9:6-7
This is not a prophecy about Jesus. The text presupposes that this son is already born and will fulfill this vision in Isaiah's day. Isaiah's vision of an eternal, glorious Israelite Kingdom did not come to pass.

Jeremiah

There are two passages in Jeremiah I would like to discuss.
Jeremiah 29:10 promises that after 70 years, the Jews will return from the Babylonian exile, and God will restore Israel to its former glory.
'For thus says the Lord: Only when Babylon’s seventy years are completed will I visit you, and I will fulfill to you my promise and bring you back to this place. For surely I know the plans I have for you, says the Lord, plans for your welfare and not for harm, to give you a future with hope. Then, when you call upon me and come and pray to me, I will hear you. When you search for me, you will find me; if you seek me with all your heart, I will let you find me, says the Lord, and I will restore your fortunes and gather you from all the nations and all the places where I have driven you, says the Lord, and I will bring you back to the place from which I sent you into exile.'
This never happened historically. Yes, some of the Judeans in exile did return to Israel. Israel was rebuilt with the help of the Persians. But, this was not the glorious restoration predicted by the prophets. Israel would continue to be dominated by foreign powers until the establishment of the secular state of Israel in 1948, which, of course, has no relevance to this ancient oracle. Further, while some Judeans did return, this promise of a gathering of Jews from all the nations did not happen. After the Assyrian and Babylonian conquests, Jews have remained permanently dispersed in the diaspora. This is another failed oracle. It cannot be interpreted exegetically as being fulfilled in the 1st century with Jesus and Christianity.
More famously, however, is Jeremiah's prediction of the establishment of a 'New Covenant.' (31:31) Christians see this New Covenant as being fulfilled in the Church, and indeed, the New Testament frequently refers to the New Covenant being fulfilled in the Christian community and Jesus's work. However, the historical context of this passage is surrounded by a cluster of oracles in chapters 30-31 that were meant to be a consolation to ancient Israel. The passage itself is clear that this is not talking about Christianity or events hundreds of years later, but is a word of consolation to Jews who experienced the Babylonian conquest:
'The days are surely coming, says the Lord, when I will make a new covenant with the house of Israel and the house of Judah.' 31:31
What is the context?
'At that time, says the Lord, I will be the God of all the families of Israel, and they shall be my people.' 31:1
'The days are surely coming, says the Lord, when the city shall be rebuilt for the Lord from the tower of Hananel to the Corner Gate. And the measuring line shall go out farther, straight to the hill Gareb, and shall then turn to Goah. The whole valley of the dead bodies and the ashes and all the fields as far as the Wadi Kidron, to the corner of the Horse Gate toward the east, shall be sacred to the Lord. It shall never again be uprooted or overthrown.' 31:38-40

Micah

There is one famous passage in Micah 5, quoted in Matthew and frequently cited by Christians as "proof" that Jesus's birth location was prophesied about hundreds of years prior. The idea that Jesus was born in Bethlehem is, of course, historically dubious. Matthew and Luke's accounts are contradictory and rife with historical problems. Mark and John assume Jesus has always been a native of Nazareth (Mk 6:2-3, Jn 1:46, 7:42). It seems then that Matthew and Luke invented their passages about Jesus being born in Bethlehem to give him more Davidic status. But this is beside the point, even if Jesus was born in Bethlehem. It is not a fulfillment of this passage.
'But you, O Bethlehem of Ephrathah, who is one of the little clans of Judah, from you shall come forth for me one who is to rule in Israel, whose origin is from of old, from ancient days.' 5:2
What is the historical context of this oracle? Again, the context of the chapter and the book is Israel's restoration and the Israelite kingdom's imminent establishment.
'Then, the remnant of Jacob, surrounded by many peoples, shall be like dew from the Lord, like showers on the grass, which do not depend upon people or wait for any mortal. ⁸ And among the nations the remnant of Jacob, surrounded by many peoples, shall be like a lion among the animals of the forest, like a young lion among the flocks of sheep, which, when it goes through, treads down and tears in pieces, with no one to deliver. ⁹ Your hand shall be lifted up over your adversaries, and all your enemies shall be cut off.'
On that day, says the Lord, I will cut off your horses from among you and will destroy your chariots; ¹¹ and I will cut off the cities of your land and destroy all your strongholds; ¹² and I will cut off sorceries from your hand, and you shall have no more soothsayers; ¹³ and I will cut off your images and your pillars from among you, and you shall bow down no more to the work of your hands; ¹⁴ and I will uproot your sacred poles^\)g^\) from among you and destroy your towns. ¹⁵ And in anger and wrath I will execute vengeance on the nations that did not obey.
What about this future King? Again, I find it amusing that Christians cite this text to show that Jesus fulfilled it. It shows they have not read and understood the historical context of the oracle. The text goes on to say that this King will conquer the land of Assyria, the land of Nimrod.
Micah 5:5–6
'When the Assyrians come into our land and tread upon our soil, we will raise against them seven shepherds and eight rulers. They shall rule the land of Assyria with the sword and the land of Nimrod with the drawn sword; he shall rescue us from the Assyrians if they come into our land or tread within our border.'

Conclusion

I've, of course, been very selective. There are many more examples of this that could've been pulled from. I hope you will see what I've briefly tried to show. The Prophets of the OT predicted that in their own time, they would see the salvation of Yahweh as their God. Jeremiah

There are two passages in Jeremiah I would like to discuss.
Jeremiah 29:10 promises that after 70 years, the Jews will return from the Babylonian exile, and God will restore Israel to its former glory.
'For thus says the Lord: Only when Babylon’s seventy years are completed will I visit you, and I will fulfill to you my promise and bring you back to this place. For surely I know the plans I have for you, says the Lord, plans for your welfare and not for harm, to give you a future with hope. Then, when you call upon me and come and pray to me, I will hear you. When you search for me, you will find me; if you seek me with all your heart, I will let you find me, says the Lord, and I will restore your fortunes and gather you from all the nations and all the places where I have driven you, says the Lord, and I will bring you back to the place from which I sent you into exile.'
This never happened historically. Yes, some of the Judeans in exile did return to Israel. Israel was rebuilt with the help of the Persians. But, this was not the glorious restoration predicted by the prophets. Israel would continue to be dominated by foreign powers until the establishment of the secular state of Israel in 1948, which, of course, has no relevance to this ancient oracle. Further, while some Judeans did return, this promise of a gathering of Jews from all the nations did not happen. After the Assyrian and Babylonian conquests, Jews have remained permanently dispersed in the diaspora. This is another failed oracle. It cannot be interpreted exegetically as being fulfilled in the 1st century with Jesus and Christianity.
More famously, however, is Jeremiah's prediction of the establishment of a 'New Covenant.' (31:31) Christians see this New Covenant as being fulfilled in the Church, and indeed, the New Testament frequently refers to the New Covenant being fulfilled in the Christian community and Jesus's work. However, the historical context of this passage is surrounded by a cluster of oracles in chapters 30-31 that were meant to be a consolation to ancient Israel. The passage itself is clear that this is not talking about Christianity or events hundreds of years later, but is a word of consolation to Jews who experienced the Babylonian conquest:
'The days are surely coming, says the Lord, when I will make a new covenant with the house of Israel and the house of Judah.' 31:31
What is the context?
'At that time, says the Lord, I will be the God of all the families of Israel, and they shall be my people.' 31:1
'The days are surely coming, says the Lord, when the city shall be rebuilt for the Lord from the tower of Hananel to the Corner Gate. And the measuring line shall go out farther, straight to the hill Gareb, and shall then turn to Goah. The whole valley of the dead bodies and the ashes and all the fields as far as the Wadi Kidron, to the corner of the Horse Gate toward the east, shall be sacred to the Lord. It shall never again be uprooted or overthrown.' 31:38-40
'For the days are surely coming, says the Lord, when I will restore the fortunes of my people, Israel and Judah, says the Lord, and I will bring them back to the land that I gave to their ancestors, and they shall take possession of it' 30:3
Then, it is clear what prophesy about the New Covenant means. It's about the imminent restoration of the ancient Kingdom of Israel and its ascent into power and glory. Again, these oracles remained unfulfilled and precisely falsified.

Micah

There is one famous passage in Micah 5, quoted in Matthew and frequently cited by Christians as "proof" that Jesus's birth location was prophesied about hundreds of years prior. The idea that Jesus was born in Bethlehem is, of course, historically dubious. Matthew and Luke's accounts are contradictory and rife with historical problems. Mark and John assume Jesus has always been a native of Nazareth (Mk 6:2-3, Jn 1:46, 7:42). It seems then that Matthew and Luke invented their passages about Jesus being born in Bethlehem to give him more Davidic status. But this is beside the point, even if Jesus was born in Bethlehem. It is not a fulfillment of this passage.
'But you, O Bethlehem of Ephrathah, who is one of the little clans of Judah, from you shall come forth for me one who is to rule in Israel, whose origin is from of old, from ancient days.' 5:2
What is the historical context of this oracle? Again, the context of the chapter and the book is Israel's restoration and the Israelite kingdom's imminent establishment.
'Then, the remnant of Jacob, surrounded by many peoples, shall be like dew from the Lord, like showers on the grass, which do not depend upon people or wait for any mortal. ⁸ And among the nations the remnant of Jacob, surrounded by many peoples, shall be like a lion among the animals of the forest, like a young lion among the flocks of sheep, which, when it goes through, treads down and tears in pieces, with no one to deliver. ⁹ Your hand shall be lifted up over your adversaries, and all your enemies shall be cut off.'
On that day, says the Lord, I will cut off your horses from among you and will destroy your chariots; ¹¹ and I will cut off the cities of your land and destroy all your strongholds; ¹² and I will cut off sorceries from your hand, and you shall have no more soothsayers; ¹³ and I will cut off your images and your pillars from among you, and you shall bow down no more to the work of your hands; ¹⁴ and I will uproot your sacred poles^\)^g\) from among you and destroy your towns. ¹⁵ And in anger and wrath I will execute vengeance on the nations that did not obey.
What about this future King? Again, I find it amusing that Christians cite this text to show that Jesus fulfilled it. It shows they have not read and understood the historical context of the oracle. The text goes on to say that this King will conquer the land of Assyria, the land of Nimrod.
Micah 5:5–6
'When the Assyrians come into our land and tread upon our soil, we will raise against them seven shepherds and eight rulers. They shall rule the land of Assyria with the sword and the land of Nimrod with the drawn sword; he shall rescue us from the Assyrians if they come into our land or tread within our border.'

Conclusion

I've, of course, been very selective. There are many more examples of this that could've been pulled from. I hope you will see what I've briefly tried to show. The Prophets of the OT predicted that in their own time, they would see the salvation of Yahweh as their God. A Davidic King would be raised, and Israel would be restored to glory after the Assyrian crisis in the case of Isaiah or the Babylonian crisis in the case of Jeremiah and Micah. The same goes for the other prophets. My thesis, then, is that historically understood, not only did these oracles fail in their prediction, but they are demonstrably not about events in 1st century Roman Palestine or the wider Greco-Roman world. They're not about establishing the Church or a dying and rising messiah figure who brings spiritual salvation. Yes, the NT does interpret passages in the OT as being fulfilled in Jesus. But they are taken out of their historical context. The NT and early Christians were not novel in this practice. This was standard Jewish exegesis of the OT. Because Christians and Jews believed that the OT writings were sacred scripture that couldn't be wrong, they reinterpreted them in the light of their situations. The Essenes at Qumran, like the early Christians, also thought that their community and Teacher of Righteousness was the fulfillment of the bible prophecy, and the Rabbis in the Rabbinic literature frequently apply ancient scripture to their community.

I am atheist and my in-laws are Catholic. My husband and I have agreed to raise our children without religion, but to me, the role of ‘godparent’ is still very important. My parents are both atheist, but I have godparents. I am godmother to my niece.
My in-laws are very religious, but we have always been respectful of each other. I stand and bow my head at family dinners, I just don’t do the cross thing or say amen. I’ll offer for his parents to say grace in my home. I brought my baby to mass for Christmas and Easter because we happened to be in their town. I display the nativity scene my MIL gifted me among my holiday decorations. After nearly a decade of this, I thought we were all on the same page of live and let live.
We have become very close with my BIL & SIL and they are very involved in our son’s life. My BIL’s work had them staying as guests in our home every two weeks for the last two years. My SIL and I refer to each other as ‘sister’. My husband and I decided to ask them to be godparents to our second child (in my husband’s family, all siblings have different godparents). We assumed they would be really honoured.
Last night, we excitedly asked them. My SIL happily agreed and hugged us, but my BIL looked very uncomfortable, didn’t get up from his chair, and just slowly asked questions with a squished face about what that meant because to him, it was a very serious question. It was super awkward. It felt like something between an interview and asking for a raise. It was like we were asking for him to do us a huge favour that he was reluctant to do.
This has eaten away at me all day. In 10 years I’ve never felt like looked down on for not being Christian, until today. It was like he was offended we would ask him to be a godparent with no spiritual aspect. I also realize I’m pregnant and hormonal, but it’s not even clear to me that he agreed.
I can’t help but feel like his reaction was a slap in the face. I regret asking. If I knew he was going to react that way, I wouldn’t have. We already agreed to use BIL‘s name as a middle name if we have a boy and now that’s the last thing I want to do. It just leaves such a bad taste in my mouth. It feels like a stain on my otherwise blissful pregnancy. My husband is very defensive and thought his reaction was fine. I’m embarrassed and angry, but maybe that’s my own damn fault for asking a devoutly religious man to be the godfather to my heathen child.
Edit: Thank you everyone for your feedback. I accept that I am somewhat TA for my reaction to his reaction. I can’t chalk it up entirely to pregnancy hormones because I am sensitive about being the only non-religious person in this family and I probably overreacted. FWIW, I didn’t express any of my disappointment to him directly, just in chatting with my husband the next day. BIL also did ultimately say he was comfortable with the role after we explained what me meant outside of the spiritual stuff, it just felt forced and I don’t want anyone to feel pressured (and admittedly, petulant me feels robbed of what I thought was going to be a happy exciting occasion).

This is hand-built stuff that I made, mostly relatively unique or heavily tweaked designs built on vero or point to point. Many are housed in upcycled tins, a few in Hammond boxes. They all run on standard 9v pedal power. These aren't clones for the most part, unless they are; but normally I actually monkey about with the circuits quite a bit or just test out wacky ideas. If you want something nobody else has, you're in the right place…
I have the handmades valued in 4 tiers:

• D tier are my trashy cheapies, made from reclaimed components. I don't feel right asking a lot for reclaimed components. I value them in the $40 - $50 range, not really picky about what I trade for. I might even take dirt pedals for these. Only got one left, trying to phase out this tier.
• C tier are the cheapies made with new components. I value these in the $50 - $60 range, not very picky here either.
• B tier are my average builds, I will trade for pedals in the $65-$90 value range, depending on the complexity of the build. A little pickier, but still pretty open.
• A tier are my happy happy builds, usually more complex or just nicer quality. I will be picky about trades for these. (But still not Boutique prices; I have no delusions). It's probably less about value here and more about how much I actually want the thing you have. Think in the $90 - $130 range.

SwirlFuzz	B+	PIC DEMO	Modulated octave fuzz prototype. It's an octave fuzz, but you can switch on an LFO to modulate the octave amount. Controls for Rate, Depth, Gain, and Volume, plus switches for waveshape and mode (Normal/Octave/Modulated). In a circular tin reinforced with recycled plastic.
Baller Fuzz	B	PIC DEMO	Another Bazz-Me-Fuss-You build with an added BMP-style tone control. In a slightly beaten-up heart-shaped basketball tin. Y'all ready for this?
Big Green Fuzz for Attractive Bass Players	B	PIC Demo	Like my bazz-me-fuss-you circuit, but with a big muff tone stack, a clean blend, and optional clippers for more compression. Housed in a big round tin reinforced with recycled plastic and designed specifically for attractive bass players. Unattractive ones may not really gel with this.
Creature from the planet Chyowngg	B	PIC Demo	Prototype of a unique fuzz I've been developing that I call the Chyowngg fuzz. It's a 2-stage octaver that gives a bright synthy tone with a distinctive envelope (hence the name). You can toggle each stage from octave to non-octave mode for a variety of interesting timbres. Also has a tone control, but the tone control is before the octave stages so it results in interesting behaviors depending on the switch settings. It's in a tin meant to be painted like an alien, though some say it looks more like a triceratops.
Dumbo's Bazzrite Fussrite	C	PIC Demo	A bazz-fussified mosrite fuzzrite circuit I cobbled together in point-to-point wiring style. Housed in a little Dumbo puzzle tin with GLITTER! Controls are for balance (kind of tone-cum-gain) and volume.
Wiff Spwinkles on Top	C	PIC Demo	This point-to-point fuzz lives in the same neighborhood as the Harmonic Percolator, but has a few differences. I altered the way the gain knob works, and added a switch to toggle bass cut. It's housed in an ice-creamity welly tin.

Copper ZenerMorph Drive	B	PIC Demo	This is an experiment in zener diode clipping. Nice crispy drive that gets beefier as you turn up the gain, lots of good edge-of-breakup tones to be had. Housed in a decorated tin reinforced with some recycled plastic.
Shining Hope Drive	B	PIC Demo	Differential mirroring drive, gives a kind of overdriven-mixer-channel distortion. Controls for gain, tone, and volume. Housed in a star-shaped Christmas tin.
B is for Beast	C	PIC DEMO	This fun little drive/boost consists of two cascading MOSFET gain stages with optional clipping in between. It goes from clean and loud to massive wall-of-gain distortion nicely. Controls for gain, clipping, and volume. In a small heart-shaped tin about 4in by 4in.
Green Sparkler Boost	D	PIC	Just an Escobedo Duende JFET boost built point-to-point in a sparkly little round tin. Gives a little gain and a bit of warmth to the tone.

Fleur-de-Lis Amp	$90	PICS DEMO	A tiny bookshelf speaker turned into a practice amp. This one features a class D power amp for lovely cleans, and a custom designed discrete preamp that gets punchy & crunchy when cranked. Runs on 9V but pretty loud nonetheless.

MOTU	MIDI express	Good	This is an antique MIDI patchbay and interface. It's pre-USB and uses the parallel cable (PC) or some kind of Apple-specific DIN cable (Mac). Could be used standalone, or maybe you're into retro MIDI setups? Comes with box and cables anyway.

I want to give you a little bit of background so you can understand where I'm coming from. My family knows me and my father's past but in their eyes I am a petty child and I think I need some outside opinions.
Growing up, my father financially provided for us(mother, sibling, and I) but wasn't around emotionally and wasn't supportive of me or my sister's interests. He would come sometimes to her game and occasionally to a performance of mine, but either he looked like he was in pain the whole time or he made excuses to leave.
Fast Forward to me being 30M and my father 61M, mother 60F. I have never liked my father's younger brother for reasons I had never shared. I was on the phone with my mother one day and she was telling me about my uncle being in rehab for Alcohol. I showed no compassion and asked her to drop the topic. She did not want to and pushed it(gotta love mothers that can't respect boundaries). The conversation came to an emotional climax when I admitted why I've hated Uncle Peter my whole life. He SA'd me when I was a child. Once when my family was visiting and once when he lived with us.
He was the reason I blocked out most of my childhood. My mother tells me I have to tell my father. I do. It was an even bigger disappointment to tell him than I had feared. Because at first he acted like he supported me. But when he saw uncle Peter next and asked him about it, he came back and told me that my uncle didn't know what I was talking about. My father then asked me more than a dozen times to explain what happened even though I told him that talking about it over and over made me extremely depressed. One day, he slipped up and while he was asking me to explain what happened, he said, "I just want to know what REALLY happened." There it was. After assuring me he supported me and loved me, he slipped and told me that he'd never believed me.
It completely destroyed me for my father to not believe me. A couple weeks later he asks me to come over for brunch to talk. I go hoping for the best. I get there and as I'm eating, Voldemort(what my father's name is in my phone) says, "So Christmas is coming up and I'm hoping you'll let me invite uncle Peter to Christmas. Because my mom needs a ride to christmas and if he can't give her a ride I don't know what I'll do." I have never been so angry in my life. I scream a scream I've never scrumpt before, giving him every piece of my mind, and I leave his house. My mother at the time was less than a year divorced from this man and they had a very co-dependent relationship. So when I told her what he said, she said, "You have to understand how hard this is for him."
I realize at this point that neither of my parents have the emotional intelligence to support me during this time. So this gets shoved under the emotional rug as most things have in my family.
Uncle Peter didn't come to Christmas.
2 months later I have reached the end of being able to afford my studio apartment as I had lost my job because of a Chronic illness flare(bedridden with constant joint pain at 8/10. I could barely get down the stairs let alone drive to work) I would need to move in with one of my parents or face homelessness.
My mother asked me to ask Voldemort. So I did, even though I was pretty sure it was going to go very badly.
Palate cleanser before the grand finale - It's worth noting that I have multiple chronic illnesses that have nearly killed me over the years and left me bedridden on and off for 14 years. Along with Major Depressive Disorder rounding me out. During that time I've gone to school and graduated twice and started a full time job. I am disabled and I am in pain, but I am not my illnesses.
So, I call Voldemort and ask him if he'd be willing to take me in. He immediately begins shaming me for my chronic illnesses, telling me I'm an adult and not his responsibility. ( I've dealt with a lot of shame surrounding being sick and he knows that.) He shames me for being autistic, says I shouldn't use my illnesses as excuses for laziness and lack of motivation in life. He says things to me that people who hate me have never said. And then when he really starts to think about it he says, maybe but I'd have to get rid of my dog. The dog that basically saved my life when I was my most depressed.
And that was the straw that broke the camel's back. I have abandonment issues and he hit them right on the head. I told Voldemort I needed to not talk to him for a while.
I ended up moving in with my mother. It has been a little more than a year since I moved in with her. She and I have healed our relationship and are actually pretty close.
My mother is always hoping that I can miraculously forgive Voldemort for being the most disappointing sh*t of a father. My sister 37F lives far away and has always been a daddy's girl, so she doesn't respect my experience with him and is always lecturing me on growing up.
I haven't spoken to Voldemort about anything personal since February of 2023. I saw him this past christmas, but I don't see him unless the whole family gets together.

There's something up here with me.
Since I returned to the world of the living, I've been doing my best to become an active member of society again and to try and earn my ticket to heaven in the meantime.
Even though I can't afford this luxury right now, I always donate a portion of my salary to charity, do volunteer work on weekends, and help out at a community kitchen on Thursdays after work.
All of this is to avoid going back there.
But I don't know how well this can work, nor do I know if by gaining this new life, I also received a new chance.
There's something I haven't told you.
If none of this makes sense to you, it´s good to take a look at my first post.

The truth is that my torment hasn't completely stopped. Since I returned from the dead, my nights are filled with agony and terror.
The nightmares are terrible, but when I wake up shrouded in the darkness of my room, I can sometimes discern things in the shadows.
Arachnid-like forms with dozens of eyes and mouths that sing profanities.
Throughout the day, I can still see them, in the corner of my eye almost like a permanent silhouette, a reminder that they're watching me, just waiting for my last breath to take me back via the VIP express lane.
I think Samael didn't like being deceived one bit.
Now, however, it's not the time to recount my escape. There are still many dangers I've yet to warn you about.
And if after your death you find yourselves wandering through the infernal circles, surely at some point you'll come across the Silver City.
The last vestige of community in hell.
Gehenna is like a living structure, a fabric composed of buildings, streets, and alleys that stretches vertically through the 9 circles that compose the abyss.
When I died, I arose just like many others in Lust, the third circle of Hell, contrary to what Alighieri claimed.
The real order of the circles would be: Limbo, Greed, Lust, Wrath, Gluttony, Heresy, Violence, Treachery, and finally, Pride.
The goal of the Collectors was set like a jewel in the center of Limbo.
It's funny, in Dante's work, the city is portrayed as a paradise away from heaven for those with good hearts who never accepted Jesus into their lives. Their only punishment would be to never glimpse the face of God.
Damn, I wish it were like that.
I woke up with the mettalic taste of blood still on my mouth.
A gentle voice was saying something, but with my ears ringing, I couldn't make out anything. I could tell there was something in front of me, the smell was good, my stomach reminded me I was yet to eat anything.
Without much choice, I accepted the charity and ate. The taste was surprisingly good, if I were to describe it, it's something close to pork.
I spent some time just eating and recovering. I was also given a canteen of warm water; it tasted weird, but It was not like I was gonna complain.
As my senses returned, I could understand what the young man in front of me was saying.
I still remember his face, without any bruises,shallow beard and a glimmer of hope that didn't match that place at all.
"Feeling better now ?"
" I guess.. where are we now, Is that thing still here ? "
I tried sitting but a sharp pain on my chest stopped me from moving.
"Hey take it easy now. You're so skinny you look like a twig. When was the last time you ate?"
"About 10 seconds ago "
He smiled a bit.
"Well at least now you´re good enough to enjoy the ride"
With that, I felt prompted to look around, and finally noticed that we were on the back of a strange pickup truck.
Not only that, some sort of locomotive seemed to form around us. In total, there were four vehicles.
Our pickup stood at the center, with metal plaques around its frame and sharp grates on the ends confining us.
On our left, an old mustang suffered to keep itself close traveling on such uneven terrain.
On our right I could see Mice on top of an old motocicle gigling to himself, I silently wished he crashed.
Leading the group ahead, I could see the rear of a black van, and finally, following behind, I saw what appeared to be a Honda with smashed windows and covered in dents.
"Where are they taking us?"
"I have no idea, but anything must be better than these fucking fields."
Recalling Mice's delusions, I wasn't so sure about that.
"Who are you? Are you with them too?"
"I think we're in the same boat, buddy."
"The last guy who called me 'buddy' tied me up and dragged me into the clutches of a monster."
"I don't like them one bit, but from what I saw when we arrived, he was trying to protect you."
"So you really are one of them!"
"I already said we're in the same shit-hole. I got caught by the masked one while trying to hunt dinner." he said, pointing out the window towards the driver of the pickup, a tall, muscular man wearing a strange wooden mask.
"Sorry, the past few days have been so... God If you only knew what I've been through."
The young man chuckled sincerely. "Friend, I'm sure whatever you've been through, I've lived it dozens of times already. The name's John, nice to meet you."
"Well, John, you can call me Nate. I would shake your hand, but..." I nudged towards the wires on my hands. "
"Could be worse" He gestured towards his feet.
They where chopped off.
"Holy shit! I´m sorry John, these guys are insane!"
"Don´t be, They will be back once I die, but I have a feeling they will not let that happen so soon."
We could already see the spire slowly coming into view on the horizon.
"You sound used to all of this."
"Don't tell me, you're new?"
" I...still can´t believe this is all real"
"You better come to terms with it fast; this place doesn't take pity on the weak."
We didn't feel like chatting after that.
I wanted to ask about what I was given to eat, but something told me I would be better off not knowing. We traveled far towards the Spire, Gehenna slowly embracing us again with its dark skies.
From up close, I was able to see an opening in the base of the Spire.
The twisted terrain of the fields gave way to broken roads and dusted buildings, screams of despair found their way back to my ears as we passed near the tar pits.
Haunted by memories of my arrival, I couldn't help but search for the beasts that mauled me in the confusing streets of the city. I don't know if it was because of the sound of the engines or the size of our group, but I didn't see them among the wreckage and alleyways.
As we approached the Spire, a strange icy breeze embraced us. The shock was so intense that I lost my breath, trembling as I noticed a thin layer of ice forming rapidly on the pickup truck.
"Try to control your breathing, it'll pass soon."
"What is this now?"
"Specters."
As we finally reached the center of Lust, I realized we were not alone.
The base of the Spire held an immense arched opening, from which a dark interior was barely visible. Above the entrance, crucified on the wall, I saw a man; the slight movement of his head and his blue eyes made my stomach churn.
The culprits for the sudden cold gathered below the man in desperation. There were dozens of them, humanoid beings emitting a faint glow and seeming to levitate; their cries echoed through the city, spreading along with their icy presence.
The man only watched them, one by one, but said nothing.
He seemed to be judging them.
The engines shut off, and one by one the collectors descended from the vehicles.
Mice was the first to approach; the specters recoiled from him like cockroaches fleeing from light.
He then looked the man in the eyes, bowed, and said:
"Oh Aeacus! King of Aegina, my heart is not pure for rest, my eyes are blind to injustice, and my fists only weigh for my desires. From dust I came and to dust I return, my soul judged to forever burn, so I beg you to open the doors to my torment."
The Man's eyes locked onto Mice for a moment, then his lips whispered something in an elaborate tongue, and the darkness of the entrance turned into a scarlet mass.
I didn't knew about the kings back then. Aeacus is the easiest to convince; he oversees the higher circles. They say if you're under Minos's gaze, however, I hope you enjoy the lower circles because he's unlikely to grant you passage. And if you're a special kind of unlucky, I suggest you don't even try to approach Rhadamantus unless you want a one-way ticket to Pride.
The collectors then pulled us out of the cars, displaying us like trophies in an organized line. I had to support John on my shoulders; otherwise, they would have made him crawl the rest of the way.
From the other cars, a few more people emerged, other unfortunate souls with the same destination as mine. I saw a beautiful woman with short red hair and brown eyes; she was injured with several cuts on her back. The collector taking her out of the van seemed pleased; I tried not to dwell on it too much. She stared at me intensely, looking scared.
A man had to be forcibly removed from the Honda by two collectors. He was big and strong, dark-skinned with furious eyes, long braids cascading from his head to the middle of his back, a terrible scar showing on his left arm.
To this day, I have no idea how they managed to capture that bastard; later, he would tell me that they didn't got him until after he'd taken down some of them.
Finally, an old man with a band over his eyes was pushed into line; he looked so worn down that I thought I would see him turning to dust at any moment.
Mice then made his way to the entrance and was swallowed by the mass.
The collectors forced us to enter, one by one I saw everyone being pushed into the unknown, looking around I tried to think of something, some escape route.
"Don't do anything stupid," John whispered in my ear. "It won't work."
I thought about throwing him at them and running for my life. I didn't know him, didn't know a damn thing about him except his name. A glance at the collectors' weapons made me change my mind; I wouldn't get far even if I did find an opening.
Finally, my turn came. With the weight of John still on my shoulders, I walked to the entrance with my heart pounding in fear.
The mass that filled it seemed to react to me, stretching to cover my body, the scarlet glow blinding me as the collectors urged me to hurry.
I reached out my hand and felt a slight resistance, almost like touching cold gelatin. I felt it pulling me, and before my head was completely swallowed, I held my breath.
My body was warm; it was like being bathed in soup, every exposed inch of my skin burning, but the agony was only beginning.
I felt that strange mass invading me, entering through my nose, ears, eyes.
It hurt.
I tried to scream but my lungs were filled with the alien substance that forced its way through my organs; I felt like I was about to lose consciousness.
A shockwave ran through my body; I felt as if I was being torn into a thousand pieces and reformed, my consciousness used as a child's toy.
And then I was spat out.
I barfed on the gray grass that solemnly clung to me; John lay beside me, eyes rolled back, red fluid still trickling from his mouth.
I didn't have time to worry about him.
Before me, proudly stood what can only be described as a monument of sin.
Far from the light of hope it once was, now taken and calloused, abused and defiled by the filthy ideals of the damned scum.
Its golden streets don't shine.
Its security only harbors hate.
Its cracked walls don't protect, they only confine.
Even though I didn't knew much about hell, didn't knew its history or care about its purpose, I could see in that moment that I was looking at the greatest disrespect to the sacred that could exist.
An empire built with blood and erected by desire.
The Silver City opened its gates to me.
With the intention of never letting me go again.
The other collectors arrived, and one by one we were introduced to the next 40 years of our lives.
The memories of this city are painful. I tried to ditch this shit given the purpose of it all, but a drag is necessary if I'm really going to recall the decades I spent under that tyrant's rule.
Passing through the rusty gates, the lower city is the first thing you see. Jack leaves this region of the Silver City for his merchants to sell their findings in the lower circles, where everywhere you look, prostitutes and slaves accompany the more fortunate. Jack's personal guard takes advantage of his authority to get everything they want without spending a penny, of course.
Linked to the lower city by a rudimentary elevator, the Pleasure Zone casts its glow over those below, a neighborhood where the best drinks, drugs, and alterations can easily be found. Hunters and collectors usually walk around there, spending their earnings to calm their vices and complaining about their King's insane demands.
But by far, the most striking sight is a castle covered in soot, built at the highest level of the city, where only Jack's personal circle can tread without being summoned.
That's exactly where we were being taken.
John was still unconscious, being carried by our captors.
As we walked under the guns, naked and defenseless, the malicious glares of the vendors assessed us as new merchandise.
My feet ached, full of blisters; I couldn't feel my hands anymore. Looking at a toothless man being pulled by a chain around his neck, I wondered if that would be my fate.
Desperation was beginning to consume me.
We ascended to the Pleasure Zone by elevator, the same one powered by the brute force of several slaves harnessed to the wall, their hands raw from continuous and repetitive effort.
The hallucinogenic fumes from the laboratories filled the street of the neighborhood. I felt my heart race, my skin tingle, and a sweet smell invading my mind. The woman accompanying us seemed to recognize the substance as she lunged towards the source of the vapors. Mice kicked her in the stomach, making her kneel, grabbed her by the hair, and laughed.
"You fucking addict! You've used this shit before, haven't you? Look at the way you're trembling, hahaha! If they don't send you to the brothel, I might have an idea of what to do with you!"
She didn't seem to understand, or care, drooling from her mouth and experiencing small spasms as the drug filled her lungs.
Wish I could say I avoided it, but this shit is strong; within a few minutes, I was almost as high as when the Succubus attacked.
We then walked through the alleyways towards a staircase carved in marble; a sinner was overdosing against the steps.
Mice shot him in the head and threw him aside.
One moment he was alive, and the next, the remnants of his brain adorned the ground.
I gasped for air, my vision darkening; I meant nothing to them, they could dispose of me whenever they wanted.
I felt like I was going to die. I felt like I was going back to the tar pits, seeing myself suffering and being devoured for ages, running only to be captured, no rest, no warning.
What kind of being would create such a rotten place? Why did he have the right to read my soul and throw me towards this flaming lake? It's not fair, it's sick.
As I climbed the stairs, stepping on the remnants of the sinner's mind, I wondered if God was watching me at that moment.
Maybe he was having fun.
The biblical hell holds a king.
It shelters demons and powerful beings born from darkness itself.
And as you already know, beings made by the Creator's own hand.
It wouldn't be at that moment that I would meet Samael, but alongside the self-proclaimed human King, I met his right-hand beast.
When the doors of the castle opened, I fell to my knees on the ground.
An angelic figure, with the aura of pure evil.
A feminine body, dressed in white adorned with jade, three pairs of long and golden wings kept her hovering a few meters above the ground.
On her face, a twisted helmet, with an eternal black flame at its peak, portraying what was, what is, and what will come.
The base of her helmet completely covers her eyes, squeezing them with such force that blood constantly drips to the ground. Her face constantly changes—a slender young woman, a frightened child, an irritated elder, a black goat, a hungry tarantula, an unnamed beast, an indescribable void.
In her hands, a chain hangs a clock, which constantly moves, which moves constantly. It tries to guess the hour, the hour that only He knows, constantly wrong, corrects itself, recoils, recalculates, wrong, corrects itself, recoils, recalculates, wrong.
Such a beautiful creature, fell alongside the morning star, with a third of the stars, to forever hate us, to extinguish everything and everyone.
Who was I compared to such perfection?
Who was I compared to such obscenity?
I felt broken.
I felt complete.
Terrified.
Emancipated.
A thousand mouths sang in a thousand languages in my mind, all equally correct, all equally wrong.
The duality that leads to madness.
In my heart, he introduced himself, Astaroth, the Grand Duke of Hell.
With a flick of his hand, he disappeared, but I still felt him watching us, assessing us.
Seated on a broken throne, there was the face of control.
Almost as tall and robust as my captured companion, a short, defined beard adorned a ruthless face marked by battles.
Gray hair and a leather cloak, a silver medallion around his neck, and a shining red ring on his left hand, eating grapes like a Greek emperor.
Jack graced us with his presence.
Mice once again took the initiative.
"My lord, we have found fresh meat of the highest quality to expand your empire, mostly young and strong, and the old one is wise and knows the ancient rituals."
Jack looked at us as if we were worms, evaluating us like a spoiled child receiving gifts at Christmas.
"You bring me trash and expect gratitude. If this is what you consider good quality, perhaps it's time to revoke your position."
Jack's ring began to glow, and I felt Astaroth's strong presence growing. Mice quickly knelt and spoke again.
"My king! One of them appears to be marked." Mice then looked at me with a malicious smile, sending a shiver down my spine.
Jack observed me, the disdain in his eyes palpable.
He seemed to notice something at that moment, scratched his beard, and smiled.
"Mice! I can always count on you to keep me entertained. Take him to the pit, send the others to the dungeon. There may be something useful in this batch after all.
Before I could protest, I was struck on the head with the butt of a gun, and I lost consciousness.
Sorry, I need a moment. Just remembering the terrible nights I spent in that place makes me feel sick.
Man, I hope smoking doesn't count as too big of a sin.
When I woke up, I was chained to a wooden pillar by the neck, with several other sinners chained around me.
The place was poorly lit, and I could smell feces and urine. They didn't even release us to go to the bathroom.
In front of me, Jack stood with two guards.
"Good morning, Sleeping Beauty. I'm sorry to disturb your rest, but I have some questions, and if you cooperate, you may find yourself involved in something much bigger and more important than your miserable afterlife."
"Screw you! I've seen the things your people do, you're all crazy. I don't want anything to do with you!"
Jack's ring began to glow, and Astaroth's silhouette became visible even in the deep darkness.
"For your own good, I hope you learn to have good manners. Now tell me, where is he?"
"What?"
The ring glowed, and Astaroth entered my mind.
The concept of emptiness is terrifying.
Non-existence is dreadful.
Emptiness occupied existence before everything existed; in the beginning, there was nothing, and then there was God.
My consciousness faded away, I felt the void corrupting my flesh prison; it's not a lack of senses, it's Nothing.
Sounds didn't vanish; they turned into nothingness. Along with sensations, memories, my existence.
I was completely devoured. I wanted to scream, but there was no voice, no will.
I wanted to exist, but there was never an "I."
I vanished completely, and then I was catapulted back into existence, where I could feel everything.
The infinite, it destroys.
Through Astaroth's eyes, I saw, I understood, not even in a thousand and one lives could I touch one percent of the truth.
My brain burned, flooded with everything that was, everything that would come. I cried, I screamed, agony drove me to madness; time made no sense anymore.
And then everything stopped. In despair, I screamed, I cried like a child. Jack embraced me with the tenderness of a mother as I collapsed into his chest. He gently stroked my head while speaking softly.
"Poor thing, so much suffering, so much lamentation. Pain is a choice, and I don't want it for you. I love you; I love all my possessions from the bottom of my heart. I only want what's best for you, but for that, I need your help. I want your pain to stop, help me make it stop! You just need to tell me, Where. is. he?"
I didn't want to return to nothingness; I didn't want to suffer with knowledge. Desperately, I lied; I said I knew where whoever he was looking for was, I would show him, he just had to let me go.
Jack acquired a sad expression, gently lifted my face, and said.
"Oh, child, why do you lie to me?"
With the scarlet glow of the ring, once again, I ceased to exist, catapulted between two extremes, blood streaming from my ears, I laughed, cried, begged.
All to make it stop, for him to remove that being from the room, I just wanted peace.
I felt my cells giving up, exploding and restructuring; memories were erased and returned, lived a thousand times per second.
My wife, my daughter, the drugs, the betrayal, the accident, the body, the hospital, the fall.
Once again, everything stopped.
I spat blood on Jack's cloak, who asked me again.
"Where is he, come on, damn it, just tell me! He marked you, he touched you, come on, where the hell is Samael, tell me and I'll leave you alone!"
I pleaded, I tried to tell him that I didn't know who he was talking about, I promised obedience, my life, anything for mercy.
Once again, he sent me to the void. For countless nights, the cycle repeated itself, I have no idea how long I was tortured in that place.
Eventually, Jack began to use me in other ways.
My days were divided between slave labor in the lower city and nights of torment in Jack's palace.
At the time, I didn't understand how he couldn't see that he was wrong; clearly, there was nothing special about me, I couldn't lead him to Samael, I was just a damned soul who could barely endure the first days in the abyss.
I just hadn't realized that Jack already had the certainty that I was different. After all, how could I be a nobody if Astaroth couldn't extract the "truth" from me, and they had to resort to torture?
Hope vanished from my chest; I didn't know if I would ever escape from there, if I would see John again before my soul was corrupted by the Grand Duke.
The years dragged on, and Jack's fury only grew.
Fortunately for me, in my fourth year in the Silver City, I gained a new cellmate, the old man who had been brought in the same group as me.
Little did I know that he would be my first clue to the way out of there.
I'm tired of remembering those horrible years, so I think I will stop here for today.
Clinging to hope in hell is as useless as using petrol to put out a fire; you'll only end up dying either way. But in the realm of insanity, it might not be all that crazy to think there might be a way out of the suffering.

Throughout Milo's lifetime up until age 26 He had only merely understood the term "Illuminati" briefly and often dismayed others who mentioned it, because of the common flooded approach that any Conspiracy Theorist he had ever conversed with would commonly and quite refutatiously take, in a conversation. Most often of times, He had dismayed the belief that anything having power beyond the Common Authority and Governing Powers, that were often displayed in the Media, were actually real or even consequential to consider. He lived a very normal life, mundane at times, but never truly disorientated or considered Weird or Phenomenally Obscure by any means at all. On the usual day, Milo would spend time with his small circle of friends, Jessie and Bianca and Trevor and Anthony. He worked as a delivery man for the United States Postal Service and took his life and his career as a pertinent and very common course to which he planned to persue his career into the future, where he might start a family, once he met the proper companion. His life seemed to course not too varied from what He himself considered to be Real and had never haltered from that state, aside from it being left the common Schizoid Druggy Conspiracy Theorist on the Internet to occasionally grab his attention. Always restricting such nutzos in careening dismay, Milo had never been brought by himself or others into questioning his surroundings and what details might be intailed. Until one day he realized that something had been riding him amuck in his life, Milo became an Alchoholic and was leading deeply into a depressive haze.
Jessie: "Are you doing OK?"
Milo: "I don't know man, i just seem to be in some sort of a wild funk. Life just doesn't seem like it useed to. I've got work from 10-6 every day that seems to be ok. Except that Jengens is really bothering me to fallow up on my behavior. I wish the Old Man would just leave me alone, and quit hassling me. I pretty much have been on the sauce for as long as I can count. Didn't know that it would end up almost costing me my job. I don't know what I should do."
Anthony: "Do you ever consider maybe, like, quiting drinking? It might be that your body is starting to become unbalanced. You should really consider getting checked up, Dude, it might save you your job."
Jessie: "Yeah, I mean, If I had been cutting out my hours, just so I could go home and drink more, I would quit drinking. I'm just saying Bro, that there are options. You might want to lay off the stuff for a while. If you need help I know a couple guys that go to Annonymous Meetings. Could help you before you end up wrecked and homeless Dude."
Milo: "Why are you guys riding me about what *I should do better? Starting with my drinking.. Look my drinking has nothing to do with it, ok? I could possibly be just infed with an auto immunity disease or have bad genes. Don't Judge me! Starting this week, I'll cut back, ok? I don't want to end up having to go back to Taco Bell."
Jessie: "Yeah, that's probably best. Now, you look like you need some sleep. Want to, uh, crash over here for a night?"
Anthony: "Yeah, bro, you don't look so good."
Milo: "Yeah, I, uh.. Can I, like, crash over here? And I told you guys to stop hounding me! I'm a big boy, I can Handle my Drink. uh..."
Jessie: "Look, Mi...." He said setting Milo with both hands. "Look at me, ok.. You.. Go... into the Den and sprall out on the Lay Z. We'll see you well in the morning."
Milo: "yeah, uhm.. yes."
And with those words Milo stumbled his way into Jessie's Den to settle on the Futon, not aware of the kind of future he was about to embark on. One thing's for sure it was going to be very strenuous and trying, and as he slumped he had forgotten about his obligation to be at work at 9 AM the fallowing morning.
In his dreams he could see his future self in the back alley of a supermarket. Stumbling to find a way to carry his Army Backpack and slipping on the abandoned newspapers and randomly array of assorted market sacks that lay scattered along the backalley's grizzly surface. He couldn't recalculate or acquire how long it had been since he had a dollar in his pocket, now wallowing in his stupor intoxicated on Carbirator Fluid he shoplifted from the Supermarket Gas Station and Truck Attendent docile under roof(?) He couldn't even put words together properly, and mumbled to himself verociously with decadence. He felt like Hell, and quickly wished for an escape from this horror he now lived in. It was at this very dark pit of dispare that he finally awoke to his neighbors empty house;
As Milo tried to make sense of it, Jessie and Anthony had vacated the premises, and he was now awakening from a horrendous 3 hours of tossing and turning in his feverishly adamant inhebriated moment. "I wonder where they wen?" Milo seemed to ask the apparent "NOBODY" that was now occupying the house with himself. Slightly uncomfortably cold he seemed to find no peace, and no way to stop the annoying draft that had been wofting throughout the house, He started searching for a drink. Unwanting to disturb further into A&J's belongings, Milo found himself unable to sleep, rocking back and fourth on the Wily Leather Futon, contemplating how he needed to be to work in the morning, and "Should probably consider getting some sleep!"; he settled unfurled and unrestingly. Permitted that he at least could walk home, he didn't want to make the adventure and leap accrossed the neighborhood, downhill, in the Winter, with only a delivery jacket and at this time of night. He could not find comfort on the mattress, and He "Had to be at work in the morning!"; yet the adventure seemed even worse of an option. "In the morning..." he spoke to himself without merit, "God! I wish I knew where those guys went. This house is Dead Silent. It's as if they had some sort of engagement they didn't care tell me about." He continued to no one who accompanied him. "I wish they could have filled me in with what was so *Fun." He was unable to find rest the entirety of the night, when finally after much abated debate, He took the Very Early Morning's Twilight to jaunt accrossed the neighborhood heading to his home, arguing with himself outloud the entire way home. "What a bunch of Bull Shit!" He continued to enthrall upon beings that didn't exist, "A very *Good Night Indeed." He emphatically remarked in a sarcastic tone, continuing to speak to beings that were invisible and imaginary, "A fun day work is going to be today! Am I right?"
After an errogated amount of effort, Milo strenuously approached his Apartment, Exhausted by the night's dissapointed theme. This no doubt would continue becuase, As it would be, Milo forgot his keys back at A&J's House. "Oh! DUMB SHIT!" and without really putting any thought into it, after many tries througout the morning, He attempted to break into his apartment building to at least spend the rest of the morning in the warm confines of the apartment stairwell. After several different advances he was finally let in by a neighbor who was leaving early that morning. Fortunately the stairwell was very warm and he could rest his weary legs and tired feet for at least a few hours. He would then contemplate on how he could possibly use another neighbor's help to call Anthony and then have Jessie come drop off his keys by 9am or else he would sertainly be fired. "Oh! What a Bullshit ass night!" unable to finally feel a slight bit of rest from his weary travel and unnerving inability to sleep. "I sure hope somebody comes home, I might have to start walking when the Sun comes out; which will be what time? 7 or 8? + I got to piss!" The question about when the Sun comes up seemed to be answered by his own desperation. Alone in the stairwell Milo started to abandon all beliefs he had in a "GOD". He seemed to be all Alone.
After his long ended shift into overtime, Milo's work hours went by rough without a quick highball to keep him engaged in his daily obligations and He, Milo, started to question whether or not he was even worth the paper pocket filled hours he put into the job. When he got home he unscrewed the Vodka Half Gal and kicked off his shoe and began to drink. Trying to forget how hard the day truly was. "Why does life have to be so damned dumb and hard?" Unmet with a retort from his imaginary friends in his apartment. He remembered calling Anthony;
"Hey, why didn't you pick up? I'm late to work, and I need my keys. Can you bring me my keys please? I'm fucking Late for work!" He remembered the call.
After a moment or two of becoming a stupor in his drinking, he Taylor Swiftly called up Anthony on the Telephone; "Yes?" Jessie then answered, "Oh hey, Yo this is Milos.. Hey, what's up?" Milo was pretty guzzled into the Half Gal, "Oh, Yeah, Hey Milo. How was your night?" "It fucking sucked! I ended up late for work! I had to walk all the way home! Where were you guys last night anyways? I checked the house, and There was, like, Nobodiez aroundz."
After a brief discussion between Milo and Jessie it had become aparent to Milo that whatever Anthony and Jessie had been doing, it wasn't any of his business. After several tries with manuevers to get Jessie to tell him where and what they had been doing, Jessie abruptly called an ending to the conversation and hung up the call, leaving Milo only in the stuporous feeble minded bewhilderment to his entitlement and left him feeling in the dark and all alone again.
And then several weeks passed and Christmas started coming within the week to pass. Milo spending most of his time avoiding his Boss and trying to stay stable enough to cope with business. He favored himself a hard working man, and acclaimed that he deserved a good holiday bonus this year, even though the situation seemed to deem anaccordingly. Neglegent to the fact that he was on thin ice and had 3 times this month gotten caught with alchohol on his breath, didn't seem to register with Milo even in it's most apparent and obvious light.
When soon, leading toward the coming Holiday, Milo spent a "Good One" tying it off with Anthony over at his neighbors pad. Jessie and Anthony seemed a little concerned for Milo's welbeing and showed their concern through a number of key and well thought out placed approaching phrases that Milo seemed not apparently afluent to be aware of.
"What if I told you to forget about your worries for the rest of the night, you and me could go to a meeting with Anthony and I and We could show you how to relax and forget about how bad Jengens is Slave-Driving you for a while." Jessie said
Anthony: "Yeah, I mean, we could take you to our congressional fellowship for the Solstice. Would be a real treat, It's particularly special becuase this is the only Blue Moon Solstice in 2,700 years! We are going to be meeting somewhere special, you should come."
Milo: "I don't know. I mean, It's Christmas and I was supposed to be out in Kansas with my Folkes for the Holidays. I think I really get down on myself becuase I fucked up so many times..."
Jessie: " Look, it would mean a whole lot to us if you just came out with us tonight. There's no harm if you don't want to go."
Milo: "Will there be booze?"
Anthony: "You bet. And it would really be good for you to let yourself go from a shitty work-week. I mean, this sort of night only comes once a millenia! I mean, you said you have the next couple days off right?"
Milo: "Well, Yeah. Ok. You guys *bought me in." He said smilingly somewhat a little beshevelled and perplexed. "Where do you guys even *Meet anyways?"
Jessie: "Don't worry about all the details. We usually don't go to these sorts of meetings but because this is such a Big Solstice, and we thought about how you weren't going to be spending, er... would probably be spending the Holiday alone drinking, We'd invite you to come along for the Night. It'll do you good."
After a couple drinks and some pretty self explanatory conversations the three of them took to the night's highways and freeways traveling North to the Daybreak Groves of Northern Salt Lake City. And after a nervous bit of encounters of meeting festive gowers at this particular area connected to a Hall in the eaves of the Western side of the Grove, Milo, Anthony and Jessie attended a meeting of which Milo had not seen the likes of before. Everybody was drunk, and getting avasted in their high on different kinds of endeavorous mentions throughout the party. About a hundred people might of been there, all seeming to weave in and out of each other's fancy and congregation as the party went on. Milo didn't know anybody but the two and tried to keep to his feet as party seemed to get wilder and more crowded. Stumbling at each others feet, Jessie suggested that Milo take one of his "wake me ups" (A Homemade Cocaine Pill Jessie seemed to pull right out of his ass at this moment) and Zing! Milo was awake and aware as he had been before they all started drinking. Trudged through the night the party seemed to get crazier, as other partiers seemed to partake in an assortment of other drugs too. Milo seemed to notice, but didn't seem to care. Starting to get a little scared by these Oh-So-Party-Ers, Milo started to wonder where this all was going. Not entirely sure of the aura, but somehow aware of the scent of the premise. When the party's attention was spikingly grabbed by the sudden bang of a grand Gong that had been prepared for the event. The Party quieted down and focused attentive gaze toward the Honorable Sermon whom Milo seemed to reckognize. He eventually gathered that the meeting taking place was that of a grand spectre and was a very rare occasion. The gathering seemed to be normal until the Party started chanting in unison, and Milo gathered that this was a commonality to the direction this sort of meeting or gathering or "I don't know what the hell is going on.." Milo seemed to murmer to himself unabashedly. Everyone, Even J&A seemed to be in congruence with the chants and ready for the approaching moment in the party of such a Night. Everyone but Milo, seemingly, was ready for what was coming out behind the side doors, several men in robes, continuing to chant. Milo was perplexed and entirely sober now.

The chanting grew very deep and Milo tried to forget what he had witnessed. Something about that adulterated screaming that seemed to shock him out of reality and into the very brink of losing his mind and start storming toward the doors, and yet he waited. Suddenly everybody was making hand to hand gestures and seemed to be eating the remains of whomever had been slayed there. When he was afixed gathering his gaze among the Party, Jessie tapped on his shoulder and said, "Here, Eat this." and handed him a handful of ________________ Afraid but ever trying to either impress or otherwise be part of the crowd Milo then ate, chewing exhausterably. Waiting unabridged moments between what just had transcribed to be a horrific turn of events into a very exhilerated and seemingly instinctual moment of somehow preconceived but not really understood modes of continuation Milo couldn't help but go through the exhilerated jammer of the continuing excitement that had been going all around him. Really feeling the _____ go through his system and how it began to invigorate within him upheaving a total amount of comfort. It seemed that all that had just transpired, whatever means was not meaningless but necessasary and he felt as if the whole universe was beginning to make clearer sense to himself. He couldn't help but yell out with ecstacy "Oh God! How I Feel!" when suddenly everybody in the Hall stopped what they were doing and began to stare at him. Stopping the feverishly fiend-like moans and displayed offerings and eatings that were commencing, and just looked blankly at him. The tone then became a very hallow one, as Milo felt the sudden Joy turn into Extreme Fear. "Wha--What? What are you all staring at!? What's the matter?!" and a sudden but not unheard of form of abrupt and distinct laughter came from behind the crowd. A laughter not unknown by Milo, in fact almost Long awaited and most assuredly completely related, in some unconventional sense, to him. And the crowd started to disparce;
"So. Milo. You have commited Cannabilism. A Crime absolutely unforgivable and absolutely unwelcomed amidst my presence." Satan then sat on a warped arcanic throne Milo had not noticed being in the Hall among the crowded Great Hall. "And what do you have to say for yourself?"
Milo: "I...Uhh.."
The Devil: "Begon from my presence!"
and MIlo had suddenly no ability to hold himself up from his legs. He just abruptly fell. And when he hit the ground, he seemed to transperse through it entirely. Falling and screaming for his life out of dead lungs unable to gasp for air. As he descended into the Earth he fell from a very high heighth and plunged deep into an abyssal darkness. His mind couldn't stop from screaming. All the while falling from such an un grasping fate. Before he saw light creep in. Milo couldn't do anything but scream in fear, slowly beginning to regain slight breathed slim gasps of hope as the light crept in. From Like the distance of a grand stadium a spec of light preceeded to come as a star toward him, and still screaming he fell throughout the black void. As the Light began to gain focus, his screams never ceased, seeing beings of amoeled amoeba like amorphous glowing eyes, unfocusable and beyond sight, stare at him in his falling. The light then grew fonder, but not his residing fear and only minutely lived torment seemingly outstretched in his now overlapping reoccurring memory of why he was there and he felt so full of shame. The stage then became clear as it was indeed a stage, and suddenly without realizing that his descent was over he was now senter of that stage, fixed in the spotlight, alone and seperated from the darkness. Without realizing, too, that he had now stopped screaming, He was gut pain starvingly famished with guilt deep down in his gut and heart. And someone he knew walked into the spotlight with him. It was his Mother, and she looked into his eyes with the most horrific tormented pained look. "Why did you hurt me, Son?" Without bringing himself to reach any justifying answer he began fearfully screaming, "NO! NO! NO!!!" and then out stepped his Mother and In stepped his Brother, with that same famished glare of dissappointment and pain. His brother then said nothing, just gave a look that broke all Milo's concentration. Then in came his ________________________ Met with the most horrific sound and bellow, and suddenly the darkness that seemed to be black, aside from the amorphous Red eyes, Wasn't darkness because it was absent light, It was darkness because it was a collected army of disembodied hands. All assorted and grasping at Milo. AS HE FEVERISHLY CONTINUED TO SCREAM "NO! GOD PLEASE SAVE ME!" THE ENTIRE SCENE DISSAPPEARED AS HE BLINKED HIS EYE.-
"What the Hell?-" Milo was perplexed
Satan: "Hell is right, Milo. And Hell, Isn't Pretty is it, Milo?"
Milo felt the sudden swoop of euphoria and relief as the world around him suddenly formed back into the Hall. Milo was overwhelmed in the sudden illusionary feeling of forgiveness that formed: "Oh GOD! Oh GOD! oh my God!"

Milo Bows, Vowing to Satan that he will forever be in debted and will do exactly as He wishes.
Satan: "You must consider me in your always and everything. If you whisper an utterance of who I am in ill temperment I will banish you to ill gotten woes and dark repute. You can not tell anyone about me, or my connection to you, this is a sactimonious relationship, remember you are in debted to me and me alone. You will refer to me as your Master, and when I call upon you you must subdue and do as I command you to do exactly how I command you to do it and when I command you to do it you will do it promptly without any further questioning or snicker or abolishing whims whatsoever."
Milo: "Yes, Master."
Satan: "Well," Satan Claps," Further you will disengage with this "Yes Master" stuff, you will almost look apon me as an equal, but whatever I say Goes, When I say it. And even Further you will love yourself, and treat yourself with respect and dignity. You are given a second life, and will live it as if you never had lost your first one. You will be overjoyously gathered in your splendor to see the world anew, and will gain a great amount of feats and features you have yet to imagine. Is that clear?"
Milo: "Yes, Mas-- Yes, My Love.""
Satan: "That's good. now begon from my sight."
Epilogue: And our Dearest Milo did live on in a more splendorous World he had not yet dreamed of. Filled with never ending adventure and non aquitting appreciation. Booze, Drugs, Friends, Lovers, Family even ordinary Jobs like his Postal Delivery Job was forever at his whims and wishes and grattitude. Fear subsided in him. He had never again known fear like the experience of Hell and her womb. An occasional mishap or failure was no hangnail considering the alternative and otherwise Dark Dismaying Hell that hath and still awaits for our dearest Milo. Unable to let go of the memory, our dearest Milo never had a Nightmare again. For now he would be able to further into whatever he may endeavor into, and one day find a companion and hopefully start a family.
