Im 17 this year and trying to decide what career path to pursue after SPM. I really enjoy science and maths subjects so I'm hoping to have a career related to those fields.
I don't have much preference in terms of which stem subjects I like better tbh I really enjoy all of them but if I had to choose I'd say something with heavier emphasis on physics since it's my strongest subject. I also enjoy problem solving, logical thinking and working with other people. I don't mind doing papeoffice work.
Some jobs I'm considering are data scientist, software engineering and biomedical engineering. I like the idea of a career in medic (maybe some kind of surgeon or obgyn) but it sounds too hellish for me with not enough job security šš Similar story with forensic science, I like the idea of it but police in Malaysia a bit š°š°
As of now, I have no intentions on immigrating abroad so please suggest a career which is sustainable in Malaysia (might be too much to ask for haha). Please be as detailed as possible for any suggestions (what kind of workplace, potential unis, expected salary for fresh grad). I don't need a super high salary just enough to get by in KL.

I've just started a job in a new industry, I have experience in a role with some overlapping duties, however this is a completely different kettle of fish. It's an entry level position with growth into another role, however still comes with certain expectations and a specific way they want things done. It's come to my attention that I've misinterpreted my curent job roles expectations to a degree, and I believe it's due to lack of training and trying to interpret messages from a few different people. It's a small workplace with only a few employees.
I have been there less than a month and have gotten into "trouble" for mistakes or doing things incorrectly, or not in line with their way of doing things, on the daily... like not yelled at, but looked at and talked to as if I've stuffed up, however I have received basically no formal training, and barely any information or resources to assist in doing what they want me to do - or even not to do. I had someone sit next to me for a couple of hours once, yet I'm getting multiple visits to my desk each day to tell me I did something wrong or should go about something a different way. I'm all for constructive criticism and have taken it all so far (and there's been alot), but it's all seeming a little bit ridiculous to me at this point?
I'm on the verge of tears nearly every day at work and constantly thinking about it at home because I can't seem to do anything right - yet everyone is so busy (they are understaffed atm) they can't train me or provide me with a resource... although, I've noted they have time to talk to each other about my mistakes. I've had many other jobs over the last decade and I've never been in tears from them, so I don't feel I'm just overreacting anymore. These people are making me feel stupid AF. I dread going to work already.
I guess I was expecting a job shadow for a week or to be seated in a common area so I could ask questions and have them give me direct feedback rather than leaving me to my own devices then eavesdropping from another room and walking over to tell me things I've done wrong multiple times a day.
I was hired with the knowledge that I was new to the industry, I don't appreciate being thrown to the wolves if they're also going to b*tch about how I handle it.

I am self diagnosed-ish, trying to get a professional diagnosis. My PCP is all but certain I have ASD and she delivered me when I was born so sheās been my PCP for 22 years. She brought it up to my parents once when I was a kid but thanks to that great immigrant āno mental health issuesā mentality they have, it was ignored and never brought up again.
Then I was excelling in school. In 8th grade I had these tics one day, my friend had just passed and I was still trucking on. I flung a pencil during one of them and hurt someone else. The school made my dad take me to the ER, he was told stress, anxiety and see someone about it. But nothing. Then I was excelling in my first full time job as a parapro for a STAR classroom. As a kid I volunteered in these classes a lot, my mom even taught one. Yeah, taught one. The adults were awful, but I was used to that. I started having meltdowns from overstimulation. At this point, Iād moved out and was living with my now husband, I was in a safe place for the first time in my life. I didnāt understand what my body was doing and why my brain was doing what it did. And then I was regressing. A lot and quickly. And now Iām realizing my entire life has been this huge lie. I come from a traumatic household, but have always been highly aware of it and have managed to process it myself. A year of talk therapy got me told ātalk therapy doesnāt work for you, you have it all figured out.ā
And I started a relationship pre-regression. I made friends pre-regression. Now I feel alone. My husband doesnāt understand really, he tries and all the time weāre growing together and heās learning more and more about me and how to help me. But I have a lot of needs and I know I take up a lot of space in our lives because of it and so it feels like when Iām pushing through, knowing itāll end in a complete meltdown, people are attentive, him included because Iām being helpful. But then I really need help, because Iāve been so focused on everyone else I need someone to focus on me. But there isnāt anyone to be attentive toward me. I feel like Iām treated like a burden when I really need the assistance.
I know I need to be the one to focus on me, but how do I do that? When people have surgeries and shitty husbands and need care, people have problems and ask for my help and I can help them. My brother is having a hard time at school. My husband works to support us because I can barely handle 14 hours a week. He met me when I worked three jobs, when I was surviving my childhood household. He fell in love with me because of my ambition and now Iām a dependent.
Iāve been battling myself to accept that Iām disabled. That before, that wasnāt me. That was a shell. I was a body. But now I have no clue who I am and itās becoming terrifying. I feel like if I canāt just bounce back soon Iāll lose everything. Or someday Iāll become too much and just get abandoned.
I feel like my body and my brain are disconnected, I feel like Iāve got no hope. Like a diagnosis will never come, help will never be found. I just needed to speak at a community I knew would understand.

I will try to make this short so that maybe more people will read. I am 25m about to turn 26 currently living with my mom, and working as a line cook at a corporate diner (in a shift lead position) I have wasted all my years since graduating high school because of mental health issues, stupidity, and laziness. However, in that time I have been able to save 135,000 dollars. I also served in the army for two years but was medically discharged. Becasue of this I have access to GI bill benefits (VA will pay for school), so I am thinking of going to college, because I want a career that can provide me enough money and stability to live on my own comfortably. I can't rely on my poor mother forever.
I am obviously feeling VERY behind in life. I know I am still in my twenties, but it seems like employers will start to look down on people who are 30 and just barely graduated college and are looking for a career. It seems like they would ask "wtf have you been doing for the past 10 years?" So, I am trying to find a path that would be the most efficient and effective for my goals. I don't want to waste anymore time. I have been debating a degree in either information systems or enviromental engineering. I think I would be more interested in enviromental engineering, but information systems seems to be better paying and more growth projected in the next 10 years as far as new jobs. But I am terrified of graduating and not being able to find a good job. Then I will be 30 ( or older), my savings will be eaten into as a result of having to live on my own and getting through school, and I will feel even worse than I do now. I have been suicidal three times in my life and it is a terrible feeling I'm working hard to avoid feeling again.
In short, if you were trying to find a good career efficiently as possible, is college the best option? Or something else? If you have access to free college should you just do it anyways?

For almost the past decade (ever since leaving high school), I have gone back and forth between being employed in work and job hunting both in person and online and I am honestly so sick of it. It has severely impacted my mental health when 95% or more of the jobs that you apply for you either never hear back from or if you do, you are just told that you were unsuccessful with no reason given as to why. It really makes you feel like you are worthless and they don;t even give you any constructive criticism as to what you can do to improve for the next job that you go for. And somehow, doing it is even worse in person when you physically hand someone a resume, then turn around as you're leaving the store to watch them literally throw it in the garbage.
As far as the jobs I HAVE had in the last 10 years, I have done everything from call center work to delivery driving to factory work to a little bit of retail and tons of other stuff that I can't even think of right now.
Those were just the jobs that I had though. As far as what I specialize in, my last two jobs were working for Telstra selling phones and mobile/internet plans in an actual store and Aussie Broadband in their Residential Customer Service department. I was let go from Telstra after 6 months because I wasn't meeting their incredibly unrealistic KPI's for such a tiny store and I voluntarily left Aussie because several of my supervisors and managers there were not treating me very well. I did actually enjoy doing both jobs however as it was in a field and an area that I actually have an interest in, that being the internet and technology in general.
As for what I want to do next, I recently applied for a job as a field service technician for the NBN doing Fibre to the Premises upgrades in peoples homes which I already know alot about as I dealt with the NBN pretty much on a daily basis both at Telstra and Aussie Broadband.
Just a little bit about me personally though, I do happen to have Asperger's Syndrome and ADHD. I was diagnosed with both in my early primary school years and even though the conditions affected me far more and worse in my primary and high school years, it doesn't as much anymore, although it still does occasionally. I still do suffer from anxiety and depression every now and then and have the odd panic attack here and there too. I am not medicated for it the way I used to be when I was in school because I feel like I can fight it on my own with regular therapy sessions. I also did not like who I was when I was heavily dosed on so much medication. It turned me into a zombie like robot and took away everything that made me who I am as a person.
Because of this, I also have to be linked with a disability employment agency and I have been through so many of them in the last 10 years as well and the majority of them are garbage who don't care about you at all and just see you as a number, not a person. All they care about is getting you into any random job as quickly as they can without worrying about if its actually suitable for you or if you'll just be gone from there in a month or two.
I also have a physical medical condition where I had to have an operation to repair a serious hernia that I had. The operation was just over a year ago and while I am pretty much fully recovered from it now, it has started to come back, meaning that I will have to have another surgery in a few years, depending on how long it takes for it to fully return. It's only had a partial resurgence so far. This means that I can't do any physically demanding job (like a trade for example) that would only increase the rate at which the hernia comes back fully.
So why am I writing this? Basically, I have honestly tried everything that I can to try and find long term employment in a job and an area where I can grow my skills, meet new people and have financial security and independence. I donāt even know where to start. From the first day that I met my in-laws a decade ago, they have been entitled, demanding and generally very difficult and frustrating to deal with. I love my husband very much, and we very rarely have problems or fights unless itās concerning his parents and his sister.
Some back story, my husband and his mom are Eastern European, while my husbandās stepdad and I are Chinese, and we all live in China. His half-sister is mixed European and Chinese. I can barely believe that heās related to these people: heās independent, competent, helpful, generous and logical, whereas they are none of these things.
Even before we got married, my in-laws constantly asked me to do favors for them, and I think they treat me like a servant. Theyāve even ruined two of my birthdays in a row with some demanding tantrums over stupid shit, and my MIL tried to commandeer my wedding, she even called it her wedding.
One of the problems is that both of them are terrible communicators: my MIL, despite having lived in China for three decades, does not speak Chinese, whereas I donāt speak her mother tongue. Her English is quite poor and she constantly misunderstands me when we try to communicate in English. Even something as simple as organizing a meet up is riddled with frustrations because she has absolutely no communication skills, and she doesnāt even know how to use GPS or other basic Chinese apps. Since I had gone to college in the US, they both asked my husband to make me help her with her college application and SATs. I didnāt want to do it, because I knew there would be communication problems and misunderstandings galore, but after much pleading from my husband, acquiesced in the end.
From the get-go, it was a total nightmare. They both knew absolutely nothing about the US university application process, but whenever I tried to explain it they both talked over me and didnāt listen at all. On top of that they were delusional about my sister-in-lawās grades. She is a mediocre student at best and has absolutely no hobbies or extracurricular interests other than video games, and she acts bratty and immature for her age. Despite this, they thought she could get into Colombia or NYU. Eventually I found them an agency to help them, but as usual my MIL thought the agency was out to scam her and started complaining about them to me and my FIL right away. He, being the entitled twat that he is, told me he was going to sue them for not delivering, even though he didnāt even bother to read the contract he signed with them, and told me to read it, and resolve the situation otherwise he will sue.
On top of this, my SIL, being lazy and spoiled, hated going to them and took it out on me personally by being excessively rude to me everyone I saw her. She would often roll her eyes at me, complain about the agency loudly, or otherwise pretend that I didnāt exist. She has also taken to texting me 40 messages in a row on WeChat in the middle of the night, demanding help with her college application. My MIL witnessed some of this behavior and said nothing. I got so fed up that I started to avoid them completely, and quit our group chats. After a few months they realized I was avoiding them, and started complaining about me and badmouthing me to my husband for ādisrespectingā them.
Last September, my husband forced me to go to a dinner with them, after I had managed to avoid them for half a year. My MIL and SIL were both incredibly rude to me and cold-shouldered me all night. I was very upset and honestly didnāt want to ever see them again. Around Thanksgiving they decided it was time to āforgiveā me, and I was forced into another dinner with them. The favor-asking started again after this, this time my MIL wanted help changing the wallpapers in her house, which I had done for them before. I was honestly beyond done with them at this point and never wanted to help them with anything again, but as usual my husband begged and pleaded. After I helped them, my husband told his mom to text me to thank me and tell me she was satisfied with the result. Instead she texts (the first time she has texted me in over a year) that she wants to change the wallpaper in every room of their house and wants me to find her new wallpaper books, and help them some more with this.
At this point I am furious. I honestly donāt ever want to see or talk to them again. They never apologized for any of their behavior, never even realized how awful they have been to me over the years, and have gotten comfortable enough to demand favors again. I want my husband to tell them that itās not okay to treat me this way, and how their past behavior hurt my feelings, but my husband thinks his mom is too sensitive, will misunderstand, and doesnāt want to hurt her feelings. I cut ties with my own mother a decade again for abuse, controlling behavior and treating me like a servant. I honestly canāt believe Iām experiencing this with my in-laws all over again, it triggers me like nothing else. I donāt want to leave my husband, and we have a very happy life together otherwise. Heās such a good person, but heās also caught in the middle. I know my thoughts and complaints about his family hurts him a lot.
Iāve tried searching online for advice on how to deal with entitled and demanding in-laws, but I canāt find any specific to my case. They donāt interfere with my life otherwise, they only reach out when they want me to do something for them. I feel like they only value me for what I can do for them, and Iām hurt that my husband thinks his momās feelings are more important than mine. Some back story, my husband and his mom are Eastern European, while my husbandās stepdad and I are Chinese, and we all live in China. His half-sister is mixed European and Chinese. I can barely believe that heās related to these people: heās independent, competent, helpful, generous and logical, whereas they are none of these things.
Even before we got married, my in-laws constantly asked me to do favors for them, and I think they treat me like a servant. Theyāve even ruined two of my birthdays in a row with some demanding tantrums over stupid shit, and my MIL tried to commandeer my wedding, she even called it her wedding.
One of the problems is that both of them are terrible communicators: my MIL, despite having lived in China for three decades, does not speak Chinese, whereas I donāt speak her mother tongue. Her English is quite poor and she constantly misunderstands me when we try to communicate in English. Even something as simple as organizing a meet up is riddled with frustrations because she has absolutely no communication skills, and she doesnāt even know how to use GPS or other basic Chinese apps. She is the most helpless person I have ever had the misfortune of meeting. She hasnāt had a job since she came to China and she is incompetency personified.
On top of that she is snobby, she looks down on most Chinese people and whenever we socialize she is always complaining about something or someone, and she thinks all Chinese people are out of scam her. She lives in a total expat bubble and does not understand most Chinese customs or way of life. Hi! I have only lived in Vegas since the end of January. Against what I now know as better judgement, I accepted a pretty odd job with who is my current roommate/landlord, which is how I ended up moving here.
The arrangement was that rent and food would be covered in exchange for basically being their personal assistant, while also leaving me time to pick up part time work so I had cash inflow.
Took a little longer than I liked, but I found outside part time work toward the end of February, and by the end of March I was told we didnāt have time for me to be able to have another job, and was forced to quit my other job on the spot (for fear of losing my housing).
Once again, Iām cooking and cleaning for this person, as well as helping them with anything they needed for their fairly successful online business, including shipping, customer service, and odd jobs similar to research and data entry relating to the industry (sorry to be vague here, but in the off chance they see this, I would really like to do my best to protect my identity because it is a fairly small and close knit industry).
I was told I canāt be actually paid, but they could let me use their credit card for whatever I needed (which honestly ended up not being super true in the end, and I ended up having to ask my family to cashapp me for things like hygiene products, because they didnāt see it as a necessity).
I essentially put myself in a position where I have to ask someone else to do ANYTHING at all, and I asked to take an entire day off (which would be literally my first day off since I got here in January) to spend it with someone I met here. They said yes, then about 8pm on the day I was told I was allowed to be off, they texted me and informed me they didnāt believe our arrangement was working for them and they have packed my things and will leave them outside.
I asked if this would include the things that were purchased for me in lieu of actual payment, and was told they would āreimburseā me for the things instead.
Forgive me if I am wrong, but even if I am not on the lease, do I not still have rights here? Iāve been trying to research it since I received the text, but for some reason it seems incredibly difficult to find definitive answers about what my rights would be in this situation without a lease in this state.
Isnāt even touching my things like this in this situation illegal? Arenāt they still technically my landlord even if their landlord doesnāt know I live there?

Schizophrenic here, I came on here to vent about some thing that I donāt believe a lot of people unless you have a disorder on the schizo spectrum you would understand what Iām talking about.
I started experiencing symptoms of my psychosis back in 2021. Symptoms decided to get worse in 2022 and I was later diagnosed with schizoaffective disorder back in mid 2023ā¦.
Experience the typical symptoms, such as auditory, and visual, hallucinations, delusions of grandeur.. an extreme collapses, my overall reality. Almost like this overstimulating presence of heightened senses that I canāt shake off even on a normal dayā¦ if I even have normal daysā¦
Thankfully, with the right medication and a bit of trial and error, I found a mix of medication that actually helps with my positive symptoms . (positive symptoms being the more known ones. Ex. Visual/Auditory hallucinations.) for the most part recently itās been pretty quiet even some of the visual stuff dialed down a bit, but there are days where it creeps up on me like a boiling pot of water just spills over. I think itās difficult for my parents and family members to wrap their heads around this. As I am stating everything is normalā¦ getting better basically. That when I have an off day and my psychosis is affecting me a bit more than usual itās taken as odd. I donāt think anyone can really understand what itās like to be in a schizophrenics head unless you experience psychosis.
Iām quite my diagnosis. Even to the point that I had to quit my job as of last year because I had received the diagnosis at a certain point in time and my symptoms were so overwhelming that my fellow coworkers noticed something was wrong and asked me questions such as: ā who are you talking to?ā ā you seem to be yelling at someone consistently and I donāt think you realize how loud youāre talking?ā āWhat are you looking at? Thereās nothing there. ā
Iāve had quite a few relationships in terms of friends fall apart due to my mental health with some even telling me that they canāt handle my mental state, or even outright asking me very poorly educated based on what the media presents as ā schizophrenics are psychopathsā The question Iām referring to is one ex friends outright asked me if I had thoughts about hurting anyone.. and if my symptoms caused me to be a psychopath. The way that mental health as a whole has been portrayed in the media and over the years has definitely taken a toll over the mental health community. This whole post may seem like a trauma dump, I apologize in advance. I am a 20 year old girl and I genuinely feel stuck in life. For starters, I did not have it easy growing up. Father was never in the picture and my mom died when I was a child. I've lived with my grandmom since. Basically all of the trauma I've endured growing up led me to having BPD and some other mental health issues, which I'm currently not receiving help for due to not having the time or finances. I still live with my grandmom but she's getting close to 80 years old and still works almost full time, I feel extremely guilty about that but it's the only way we can make it by, and that's barely make it by. I do have a part time job, I don't have a lot of job options as I don't drive and haven't gone to college. I'm trying to save money in order to drive and go to school but it's nearly impossible when I need that little bit of money I'm getting just to live. I do have a boyfriend who's currently in another state for drug treatment, he's doing good now but doesn't want to come home and he wants to live in that state now. I'd obviously like to go be with him but obviously finances are an issue. Me and him have had a rocky relationship and he keeps telling me he wants me to work on a bunch of things before we make a decision like that, but I genuinely think I'd have more opportunities if I moved with him and got out of my awful environment. My grandmom wants to go into senior living soon and I don't blame her, she doesn't deserve to work forever. I just don't know what's going to happen to me or how to proceed. I think living with my boyfriend is my best option but it doesn't seem like a possibility right now. I don't have the money or anything for my own place. I of course want better for myself but it seems like in any way I try to improve myself I run into an issue, usually money issues. I'm so very interested in the medical field, and I feel like medical stuff comes natural to me so I'd love to do that. But at this point I'm starting to lose hope for myself because I seriously dont know how to get out of this mess. Nothing in my life is stable right now and I feel like I have no one to turn to whether it's my family, friends, or my boyfriend. Any advice on how I can get out of this would be so appreciated. The son of a public and cultural figure, who was a friend of Taras Shevchenko, was born on 9 May 1857 in Poltava, and already during his studies in gymnasium showed remarkable abilities in exact sciences. Entering the Faculty of Physics and Mathematics of Kharkiv University, he experimented in new at that time experiments in the field of sound recording, while still a student invented an electric phonograph. After graduation, the graduate was left to work at the Department of Physics. His first scientific monograph was devoted to optical analysis. After defending his thesis at the University of St. Petersburg, the master of physics was appointed privat-docent of the Kharkov University, and two years later he went to practice at a magnetic observatory in Paris, where he discovered flaws in the design of the seismograph and offered his mentors a way to correct them. Soon the young professor of Kharkov University becomes famous outside Russia, becoming a regular at international scientific conferences and a member of the Toulouse Academy of Sciences. Nikolay Pilchikov returned to Kharkov as a university professor, where he created a meteorological station that still exists today. To study the upper atmosphere, the professor developed a stratostat and then a high-altitude spacesuit to equip the pilot. The atmospheric optics researcher created his own seismograph and designed equipment to determine magnetic pressure. Having moved for some time to Odessa (to work at the Imperial Novorossiysk University), in 1894 the scientist invented an original lamp for the study of X-rays, called āPilchikovās focus tubeā. The optical and galvanic version of the study of electrolysis developed by him made it possible to obtain images on metal plates ā so the inventor became the author of electrophotography or photogalvanography. And on 25 March 1898, Nikolai Pilchikov demonstrated for the first time a device working with radio waves of a certain length and rejecting interference. During his experiments in Odessa he lit a lighthouse with the help of radio waves and moved a railway semaphore, blew up a yacht and made a cannon fire. The scientist characterised his contribution to radio physics as follows: while Popov and Marconi were looking for a way to transmit a signal over the greatest possible distance, he was solving the problem of cutting off wireless power transmission from extraneous electrical waves. Thus appeared the first device with a protector ā a security filter, allowing only the waves addressed to it to reach the mechanism and protecting the equipment from atmospheric and radio interference. The scientist not only designed and manufactured different types of the first protectors, but also tested them in practice. With the help of his revolutionary device, Professor Pilchikov made it possible to create radio-controlled mine boats that could sink enemy ships without a crew and fire on enemy targets. In proposing the idea to the Russian military, the inventor characterised it as a way of detonating objects at a considerable distance without cables or other visible communication. Applying for financial assistance from the military department, Pilchikov planned to spend 15,000 roubles on laboratory equipment, manufacture of devices and their testing with the support of the Sevastopol naval forces. For his part, the scientist undertook to keep the know-how in strict secrecy and not to publish any information about the development in scientific literature. As a result, this circumstance may have contributed to the fact that the scientistās works disappeared and he himself may have been eliminated. Military engineers discussed the professorās petition for research funds with reference to foreign experience. Specialists compared Pilchikovās achievements with the developments of foreign scientists experimenting with wireless telegraph, to whom the authorities did not refuse anything. For example, Preece was authorised for experiments by the postal department of England, Marconi obtained in 1897 large sums of money from the naval department of Italy, and the Berlin scientist Slaby received aeronautical parks, watercraft and troops of the Potsdam garrison from the Emperor of Germany. Pilchikov, on the other hand, had a much more extensive programme and was naturally expected to produce the most ambitious results. On his return to Kharkov in 1902, the professor continued his research in the best-equipped physical laboratory of those times, the local University of Technology. He was also allocated a ship āDnestrā and funds for marine experiments. On the ship in 1903 the scientist equipped a receiving radio station, and on the Chersonese lighthouse ā transmitting. Alas, neither the scheme of those protectors, nor the content of the experiments, nor their further fate are known today. In the archives we found only information about a letter of gratitude to Professor Pilchikov from the Commander of the Pacific Fleet. It was dated the beginning of September 1904. It is clear that in the midst of the war with Japan secret military developments could be of interest to both belligerents. Moreover, other external enemies were also interested in preventing Russiaās military advantage. Professor Pilchikovās research competed with American experiments in the Maritime Ministry under Tesla, who was also working on the task of wireless control of a minelayer from the shore. This is a case in science when āan idea is in the airā and the same discovery is independently made by scientists at different ends of the world. It is believed that the first radio-controlled telemechanical system in the world was developed by Nikola Tesla ā he patented and presented an unprecedented ship model in the summer of 1898, but came to the discovery the day before, in spring. And āRussian Teslaā Nikolai Pilchikov tested a similar invention in March of the same year, which was reported in a note in the āOdessa Reviewā, which for some reason remained unnoticed by the scientific community. The ātwo Nicholasā had a lot in common, despite the fact that they lived and created on different continents. Scientists were almost the same age. Both had no family ā neither wives nor close relatives. Both were undividedly attracted to physical science ā the mysteries of radioactivity, X-rays and lightning. But to Pilchikov did not appear one day George Westinghouse with a million dollars for four dozen patents. And an understanding friend, as Tesla had in the person of Katharine Johnson, next to Nikolay Dmitrievich was not there eitherā¦ Being left without further state support, Pilchikov could not complete the work on his wireless protector. In 1905 he left to observe the solar eclipse in Algeria, from where he returned with failing health. Ill-health was aggravated by an acute feeling of loneliness. 1908 was a fateful year in the fate of the scientist. It was the best time of the year, the beginning of May, a time of intoxication with life and romantic dreams. But for Pilchikov, the ādelight of natureā had no inspiring meaning: five days before his own birthday, he went to a psychoneurological clinic. And it happened under very mysterious circumstances. According to police reports, the owner of a private hospital and a well-known doctor I. Y. Platonov received a call from an unknown man on 3 May with a request to hospitalise Nikolai Dmitrievich Pilchikov. It was asked to prepare a separate room where the patient would be alone. When the professor appeared in the clinic, the doctors saw nothing critical in his condition. He was elegantly dressed, and in his hands held a suitcase with papers. Two days later, a shot rang out in the ward, and the papers were gone. Not a single piece of his war work was found among his household belongings. The blueprints of inventions of world importance, which the scientist had not even had time to patent, disappeared. Wasnāt the murder then the final fat point in the planned operation? And didnāt the inventor-physicist take with him to the ward what the special services hunting for his military developments were tracking down? Perhaps it was in the hospital that Nikolai Pilchikov, who had a premonition of trouble, tried to hide from his threatening pursuers? Or maybe they put him there so that it would be easier to realise what they had planned? And who were these mysterious killers?.. We will probably never get answers to these questions. But it is known how the brilliant ideas of the tragically departed scientist were put into practice. In 1913, the first radio-controlled aeroplane took to the skies. Four years later, a German boat controlled from a plane blew up the quay in the English harbour of Newport. In the same year, 1917, a German ship was damaged by a British minelayer guided from a radio-controlled aeroplane. In 1925 the first mine without wires appeared. And in 1943 the Soviet troops destroyed the Nazi headquarters with General von Braun in Kharkov occupied by the enemy by controlled explosion from Voronezh. Radio warfare has long been supplemented by radio defence, where the first role is played by devices like Pilchikovās protectors. So a few weeks ago I got ill, nothing too serious, probably just some bad sushi, or something I left in the fridge too long. Anyway my body decides - as they are prone to do - that firing out both ends for a while is the best solution. After a few hours of trying to stay hydrated through this, getting lightheaded etc. I start to notice blood in the vom. Now, I've had that before a few times, but combined with the lightheadedness when I've had seizures before I decide it's "oh fuck" time.
Now, I live down the road from the hospital, like if I take an evening stroll I'll walk past it. Still decide I'm probably not going to make it on foot without something bad happening so call the ambulance. I've called a fair few in my time and not once have I ever heard the operator say "On their way, lights and sirens." Anyway, they monitor me overnight, discharge in the morning, but say they want me in for a gastroscopy (camera down the throat to check things out) as an outpatient. No worries, I've had one before. Couple of weeks later they book me in. Because it's a general anesthetic I need someone to pick me up. I figure I've got a friend who works at the hospital, see if she can do it. She's busy at her other hospital. I don't want to drag someone 40 minutes each way so I have to stay overnight. Whatever.
Well they do the procedure and the doc comes to talk to me, basically says my throat was so fucked they couldn't actually see anything, but they managed a biopsy. Have to go on a course of meds for 8 weeks and come back to try again. Here's the kicker though, the thing that was making it fucked is apparently a serious indicatocause of, well you know the Atlantic? It's a big sea right.
So here's me living alone, no family to talk to, all my friends prepping for a wedding so I can't talk to them and risk having this hanging over the whole shindig, trying to handle that news along with job applications and interviews, driving my autism up the wall. Then I get told I have an apartment inspection in a week so I'm stressing about getting the apartment ready. Anyway with all that I forgot to eat for a couple of days which laid me up for a few days which isn't fun. Finally managed to get out of the apartment today and get something to eat - not much mind you - and do some cleaning for the inspection on Tuesday. The follow up appointment from the second procedure is about a week before the stag do and two before the wedding so I'm just hoping it's either good news or I can hold it together and not fuck things up for my mates.
Anyway, I know that's a bit of a ramble, but I figured you all might like to know that even through all this I'm not drinking. There's absolutely no good that can come of it, so I'm still here with you all.

From hand-picked music, to fully voiced NPCs and scenic descriptions designed to breathe life into the campaign setting I daresay my games rival in quality those of the professional DMs that charge for each session.
There is a drawback to this all however. Second word of the password is "thy". I expect a lot from my players as well. Writing a story in DnD is not a one person job. It takes a collective effort of the entire group to create something truly unique, something that one can be proud while looking forward to each session. Unwinding and letting off steam means something else for everyone. For me it means losing myself in the creative process of roleplaying an NPC or describing a scene, watching my players masterfully portray their own characters or having the party derail my plans in an awesome unforeseen and unexpectedly enriching way. If you find yourself in any of what I just described than this may be a game for you. If you donāt, thatās fine. This is definitely not a game for everyone.
When it comes to setting of the campaign in the world of Faerun I have once again made a somewhat traditional pick and decided to place the onset of the game onto the Sword Coast, more precisely into the city of Waterdeep. If one of the key upsides of Forgotten Realms is diversity of content, Waterdeep is one of the best representations of this. Being the largest settlement on the known Faerun, Waterdeep offers nigh limitless options in terms of main story arc genre, character creation and character backstory implementation. It has everything every large TTRPG settlement ought to have (fickle upper class, enigmatic factions, quaint taverns and extravagant nightclubs, always in bad mood city watch, a castle and a harbor) as well as few pretty original ideas such as colossal definitely not alive statues, a city council where even its members donāt know each otherās identity and a massive dungeon right underneath the city where you can literally fall right from a tavern taproom.
In case you are wondering, while this campagn takes place primarily in the city of Waterdeep itself, there is nothing stopping the players from exploring past the city if they so choose. The final word of the password is "crack?". Different parts of the main plot and various subplots can and will encourage the party to explore Waterdeep environs and sometimes even further.

After a brief respite from the twisted and the unnatural the clouds once more begin to gather. Along the Long Road, whole hosts of wild beasts and monsters have been accosting travelers seemingly at random and in the grand metropolis of Waterdeep a sudden rise in crime seems to coincide with strange events passing unnoticed beneath the surface. Amidst all this, in spring of 1493 DR, a party of adventurers delves into a mystery of enchanted gemstones being utilized to nefarious ends by unknown perpetrators all the while navigating the labyrinthine twists of city faction politics.As implied by the post title, this is an ongoing campaign (we are 12 sessions in at the time of this post). Due to some irl commitments weve recently dropped a player and are looking to replace them.

No exceptions here. Unless otherwise stated, the requirements must be met at the time of application.- to apply you need to be 20+ yo
- you need a functioning webcam (at the time of application) and a stable internet connection - we will be using both video and voice on discord and as a general rule Wifi doesnāt handle long video calls well (believe me when I say I speak from experience) so cable or other similar form of stable connection is strongly encouraged
- you need a Discord account and you will need a Forge account - Forge is a hosting service for Foundry, donāt worry, you wonāt need to input any personal info (besides maybe an email) to register and I will be footing the bill
- you need a PC that can and will run Foundry Virtual Tabletop - check the minimum requirements on the Foundry website, a fair warning, Foundry wonāt run on tablets and phones (not that you should consider those in the first place)
- you need at least an elementary knowledge of Dungeons and Dragons 5th edition - when it comes to the awareness of the rules, I wonāt be too harsh, but definitely donāt apply if the first time youāve seen the PHB was a week ago
- you need TTRPG/roleplay experience and/or a very strong roleplay inclination - this is a heavy roleplay game where most if not all ingame talk will be done in character and where you will be expected to voice your character in a way that is distinct from your standard voice
- you will need to be very punctual when it comes to session attendance - I expect my players to attend most if not all sessions, online or not, this campaign is a designed as a longterm commitment and by applying you are acknowledging this, having other hobbies and time-consuming real-life obligations is understandable (I got those too) but those 4-5 hours you will be expected to set aside for the session

I have lost weight and I always have had low iron and now it is getting worse.
I found a job here last week, it is very good because it is remote in the translation field. I will be paid 1st time on 14 of June. I want to buy 1 single affordable cooktop from ikea to cook mainly in my room when the kitchen is occupied, I already bought a mini fridge from ikea because there was no space in the main kitchen fridge for 5 people.
