Ok I just want to make sure I'm not being an idiot here, but I bought the complete edition while it was on sale, and apparently to activate that I need to put in a registration code on mogstation. Problem is, I can't get into mogstation without a one time password. Apparently you can set these up using software authenticators, which you... need a one time password to set up? Am I missing something or can I just not access mogstation, so I can't upgrade my game?
Edit: I've never set up any one time passwords on this account before. It's a new account and I played on the free trial on the account for maybe 10 or so hours. I can't leave it blank on mogstation login or on SE account management login, both say they are invalid.

2024.06.02 05:44 idioticbrilliance How has your experience been with your own VPS for small? Considering after both vercel and heroku don't seem to be ideal, or is it my code?

TL;DR Vercel is awesome but cold starts have me skeptical for longterm. Heroku seems a great alternative (and cheaper), but if you can't keep it under 512RAM (in my case), you only solved one problem and created another. Should I just go VPS? concerned code below.
I utilized the Google Ads Api and created a Google Shopping App that incorporates all of Google's RMF: Required Minimum Functionality For a Standard Shopping tool. The plan was to just create an app that follows a marketing strategy (just to create structured campaigns) I've been using for while and make it available to other people in ecommerce. By time I was finished and ready to submit, I realized there was a lot more I had to add in order to get approved. Makes sense though because they don't want you to just offer creation functionality, but not editing or removal.
The app itself is roughly 17k lines. 219 files.
Database: MongoDb to store encrypted tokens.
Billing: Stripe
Main resource: Google Ads Api & Google Content for Shopping Api
Authentication: next-auth (Google provider)
Tried Vercel Hobby to start:
I was getting function execution timeouts right out the bat. No chance this would work it seemed. Upgraded to pro...
Vercel Pro $20 p/m:
This works and with some configuration, I was able to have the app fully functional. Most times, it is so fast and I love it, but the cold starts are unpredictable and aren't ideal for many reasons. Still, I submitted the app to google to have my requested access granted and app approved for production and all went well! Given I was able to get the app approved with Vercel, I want to make it work. I tried experimental:

Set my memory to 3009mb and extended my maxDuration to 30 secs in vercel.json. Implemented lazy loading for some of the larger components that are required by RMF but not likely the reason you would use the app.
Still, it seemed this would be the norm... Are things suppose to improve once you get regular traffic? Is it unique to each user or the app itself? I haven't canceled my account yet, but I did remove my domain because I figured I should give Heroku a shot.
Heroku $7 per month - Basic
I saw a post talking about Heroku as an alternative to Vercel, and I already use Heroku (node.js/Express backend) + Firebase (React frontend) for another project. Never had an issue, but I was skeptical about a Next.js app due to the monolithic structure and some of the complex processes this app performs.
The biggest shortcoming for me is the hard 512mb RAM limit. I don't have anymore cold starts, but when I initially started the app up I was hitting memory exceeded (R14) in my logs. On the very first start I also experienced an execution timeout (sigh...). I have been trying to reproduce this error since to see if it will be a common occurrence but, so far It hasn't shown itself again...
Aside from that, It's great, but not without it's own shortcomings (in my case RAM). Even upgrading to Standard would still leave me with the same amount. At that point, It becomes questionable if it's a better solution than Vercel. If I want 1GB of RAM from heroku, I'm looking at $50 minimum p/m?
Context to possible issue:
I believe the issue lies in how I authenticate users and immediately send the first Get request after successful authentication.

after this I send them to the app dashboard where a GET request is made immediately after to retrieve all the Shopping performance data. I've cleared my cache, revoked app permisions and deleted my user in the on Mongodb to start the process over again, to see If I can repeat the error, but can't atm.
Anyway, If you read this all, thank you. Am I wrong to immediately send additional requests to Google immediately after authentication? Median Latency for Google Api calls are 625ms and 95% latency is 1200ms.

Sorry If I didn't explain this well. Between weighing up the options to take a 3rd shot at another hosting service or question whether I can better optimize my code to work within Heroku's RAM limits. I definitely would appreciate some feedback or advice. My gut is telling me to go VPS, but I wonder If i may be ignoring a bigger issue at hand. I know my next-auth implementation part could be better optimized and the amount of comments might just piss some of you off (bare with me, it was a pain to set up). I am definitely working on improving it now. Just took time to post this hoping to get additional feedback.
In hindsight, I wish I had structured the app to host have the frontend and backend hosted separately. Oh well, I think I can make this work, but want to be considerate my next steps.

  5. Have every agency have a “Home room” in which players can go into to interact and emote with other players. The agency leader can customize the home room so it can look differently. Some examples are Nighteye’s agency and The one for all Vestiges “place”
  6. Have 2 new game modes. The first being squads and second being a 50v50 mode. (You instantly respawn where you want to and keep your levels)
  7. Nerf toga and her “Mirio exploit”
  8. Fix the infinite card exploit
  9. Two new maps gets added which is the Ground gamma and the “U.A Island (destroyed)” (where the dark hero arc take place)
  10. Add two characters every season. The first character is free and the second as available through Gatcha. For example: if Overhaul and Donald Duck gets added in season 6, Overhaul is free and Donald Duck is gatcha
  11. Add more npcs like Kota, but they drop cards instead of lvl up potions and have different voice lines depending on who your character is. But instead of saving them, you just talk to them. And they will have a yellow outline so differ them from actual players. A example is Gran Torino and talking to him will play a short dialogue before dropping 3 Rapid cards (A, B, and Y)

#2: Things you must know before using Shungo!

[#1] Shungo does not advertise their app as being "safe". Using Shungo app breaks the game's Terms of Service because it's an unathorized 3rd party app that does not have permission from Niantic to be used with their Pokemon Go game. This puts you at risk for getting punished by the 3-strikes system as mentioned above.
[#2] If you want to gain an advantage against the anti-cheat behavior system, you may be able to lower your chances for a strike by playing like a non-cheater. [#5] In-game limits
To see the BSOD error picture, go to the Frequently Asked Question section at the bottom.
"Encounter" means you tap on the Pokemon to check if it's shiny and flee or you fail to catch it.
  • Encounter limit is between 7,000 to 10,000, but Shungo recommends 5,000.
  • This number is specific to Shungo and does not include the use of a "shiny scanner" that can be found in other rooted 3rd party apps like Pokemod, iPogo, Pgsharp, and Polygon. When a shiny scanner is used, there is no way to see how many wild Pokemon was checked.
"Catch" means you tap on the Pokemon and throw the Pokeball to capture it.
  • Catch limit per day: 4,800 Pokemon
  • Catch limit per week: 14,000 Pokemon
Punishment for exceeding the encounter or catch limit: "BSOD" (Blue Screen of Dead) / suspicious activity screen. You will be locked out of the game for a total of 24 hours. If you continue to get this screen multiple times, it could lead to a strike. There is a chance that Niantic can skip to the 2nd (30-day temporary ban) or 3rd strike (permanent ban)

  • Spin limit per week: 7,000 Pokestops
Punishment for exceeding the spin limit: You get an error that's says "Try again later." when you attempt to spin over the limit and will not receive any more items.
[#6] Since this is considered botting, it may carry heavier punishment like the "Red Slashed" Pokemon.
  • Red slashed Pokemon can only be transferred and are not usable in raids, gyms, battles, and cannot be traded. You will see a red line on your all your Pokemon in addition to receiving your strike.
  • It's unclear whether Niantic may bring this type of punishment back because the last time it happened was during the major ban wave in November 2019.
  • Don't forget, they can skip to the 3rd strike for instant permanent account bans.

  • I think this screen appears after you have received the server maintenance screen when you don't wait 5+ minutes before logging into a different account. You may or may not get this screen as a warning. If you fail to wait longer before you switch accounts, you will get the Error 15 screen.
  • This is a temporary IP ban that lasts for a few hours to 72 hours.
To bypass the Error 15 screen:
  1. Clear app cache and app data for all your web browser apps: Chrome, Internet (Samsung), FireFox, Opera, Dolphin, etc.
  2. Clear app cache for Pokemon Go (includes no root 3rd party modified game apps).
  3. Restart your device.
  4. Connect to a VPN server.
  5. www.whatismyip.com to check you are not using your home IP address.
  6. Open the game and log in.
  7. When you want to switch accounts, you log out, wait 5+ minutes, and then you log in with a different account while you are still using the VPN.
  8. If you still get the Error 15 screen while using your VPN, this means the VPN IP address got temporarily banned because someone else tried to bypass the Error 15 but failed to correctly do it. Then, you would have to repeat the steps and try a different VPN server.

2024.06.02 01:59 Adi_2000 Trying to install Self Setup set, app asks me to create an account, and then tells me the email is already in use. The ADP+ website tells me it can't find my email. Customer service weren't able to help without escalation. Anyone had that happen to them and troubleshot successfully?

Hey folks! TL;DR on the bottom.
I recently join ADT (Plus) after transitioning from the Google Nest Secure ecosystem. I got a self setup set/box (with a control panel, motion detector and door sensor), and created an ADT account, and then I guess ADT Plus account? Not entirely sure why I need to create two accounts. I used a Gmail account that was associated with the Google Nest Secure account (to get the one year free monitoring services), so I'm not sure if I can use a different email.
For life reasons, I didn't install the equipment right away and didn't go thorough with setting up everything on the app. The app worked fine then. I tried installing everything today, and the app asked me to login, which worked, and then asked me to validate or create an account. I used my full name and email (same one as the one I logged in with), but then told me the email already exists. My only option is to "create an account," and I can't return to a previous step or move forward. I tried clear cache, data, uninstall and reinstall, restarting the device (I was getting desperate lol) and still got the same error message. I decided to try and log into the account on my mobile browser and/or the desktop browser.
However, when I try to log into my account on Chrome mobile and desktop, I can login to the "initial"/first account, and then asked to validate my account/email. When I put in the email address I used for both accounts, it says it can't find my email 🤦 What? First it says the email is already registered, then it says it can't find my email. I decided to call - tech support/customer service had me do all of the steps I described, and it didn't work. Then they had to escalate it, and I'm not sure when I'll hear back ("several business days" was what they said), so I don't have much to do but wait, but I'm wondering if something like this happened to anyone else and if it did, how did you solve it? Any help would be appreciated!
TL;DR - trying to install self setup kit, app asks me to create an account (already did), it says that the email is already registered, but when asked to validate my email on the ADT+ website, it says that it can't find my email. 2024.06.02 01:20 Pandy2013 Phone stopped sending/receiving calls. Tried to switch to Verizon SIM card and it didn't work. Now what?

I have a Samsung A50 that I purchased unlocked on Amazon in 2020. At the time, I had Tracfone send me a SIM card. I haven't had any issues until this week. when I was unable to send or receive calls.
Here's what I've done so far:
  1. Chatted with tech support via Tracfone.com. I was told my phone is not compatible for a new SIM card. Agent escalated the issue and scheduled a call back.
  2. Call back manager was very nice and said my phone IS compatible and that I need to go buy a new Verizon SIM card and gave me a phone number to call when I had the new SIM card.
  3. I bought the new SIM card at Kroger. They had two different backs on the packages - One package said copyright 2022 and one said 2024, so I bought the 2024. The new card came with two cards.
  4. I called back to Tracfone. I tried both SIM cards per agent but neither worked with my phone making/receiving calls. And while the new SIM cards were in my phone, my phone was totally bugging out - keyboard wasn't working, I couldn't login. DND would randomly turn on instead of wifi/cell data, etc. It was really odd. Agent had me put my original SIM card in and once the phone was restarted, the bugginess stopped (still no working calls though).
  5. Agent said let the phone rest and they'd call back in 25 minutes.
  6. I jumped on Reddit and found a two year old post about the same no calls issue. That post said to turn ON VoLTE calls (never messed with that previously) and now my phone is making/getting calls again. Whew.
But now I'm wondering what SIM card I actually have? Am I going to have a non-working phone at some point? If it's an AT&T SIM, then I have to replace it at some point, but that obviously didn't work today. Anyone had any luck making that work on a 4+ year old phone?
When I go to Tracfone's website and I'm logged in, it gives me a popup to get a free SIM card for Verizon. Should I do that? Is that going to be any different than the ones I just bought from Kroger?

2024.06.02 00:42 Pokemon_bill Is the problem my MB or the GPU

I have the 4070 TiS installed on a Z790 PG Sonic MB.
When I installed the 4070 in the primary PCIe lane (gen 5 x16) the PC would crash on login to Windows every time. It would boot to the login screen and could sit there indefinitely with no problems but as soon as I login it black screen restarted.
After pulling my hair out from trying to figure out what was wrong I eventually moved the GPU to the secondary PCIe slot 4 x16.
When I did that the PC became stable. I settled for that miracle and have been using it like that for about 2 months give or take.
Now I'm trying to run unreal engine 5 and every time I open it I get a crash report stating "GPU Crashed or D3D Device Removed. Check Log for GPU state information. A GPU mini dump was be saved in the Logs folder."
Yes it says "was be saved" which, while funny I'm getting tired of seeing. On the bright side while I don't know much about this personally I was able to find the log or in this case logs folder and found several files.
What they are talking about seems to be my system specs and what failed. It looks like VtuneApi.dll and it's 32 bit counterpart. It says they don't exist.
I'll be adding the log file to this post when I switch to PC.
This isn't the only thing the system has been failing to run and it's not the only problem I've noticed.
I also see what I would describe as artifacting in the display. For a few seconds when things open or are closed I'll see pixels not being rendered and in some cases they jump around so it'll look like speckles being randomly placed on the screen for a moment.
When I received my 4070 and tried to install it originally I believed it to be defective so I returned the first one.
I don't know the odds of getting two defective in a row but honestly I suspect the MB just as much as the GPU at this point.

2024.06.01 23:37 Wayfinder17971 Dilemma in accessing the game.

Hey, so I'm a returning player, haven't played since Shadowbringers. I just came back and used up my four days of time for the free login campaign, and decided to resubscribe in preparation for Dawntrail. I go to pay and... "this card is unavailable." WTF. So I look into it and sure enough, there's an issue with the payment processor and it's not taking debit cards(this is my only option for payment) and they suspect it'll be fixed by... sometime in July. WTF. So I look into game time cards. This is also not going to work for me because I'm tight on money and use the entry level subscription. I only have one character and have no need for alts on the same server. And for some stupid reason, there are no entry level game time cards, they only come with the standard subscription and are completely inflexible. At this point I'm pretty pissed off, it's really unacceptable that this issue goes unfixed and coincides with the release of an expansion.

2024.06.01 22:19 Ok_Mud_2953 Conflicted on what to do about my situation and my mom’s comment on what is “right “

My mom’s speaker was lost or possibly stolen. She told me usually when someone loses something they replace it . It’s been sticking in my head for the last few hours .
I broke 4 doors in the house when I was under the age of 18 I am 21 now . My mom and sister broke my own room door . I calculated all the costs of the doors which is 543. Or somewhat very close to that.
The reason why this is important is because I worked at my mom’s work after high school when I was 18. She did payroll & at the time I didn’t have a debit card . So the money would be deposited onto her PayPal card that I had . But no access to the app or login whatsoever .
She stole $1,000 dollars from me of two weeks of full time work and extra hours . “To replace the doors I broke” …. 3 years later all 4 I broke + the one my mom and sister broke are all the exact same condition not a single door has been replaced.
The doors are three regular bedroom doors which are $60 roughly and then the fire / garage door is $320 (considering my mom has a Home Depot card)
This is sort of nothing me the comment of “what you break or lose of someone else’s then you replace” it’s logic yes and I agree . I broke 4 doors costing $543 which means she stole a little of $500 extra .
My grandparents gave my mom money for new tires for the vehicle I drive . Which is my hand me down car which was and is my moms . It will not ever be signed over to me.
Anyways they gave her $500 and my tires were not replaced , because “she needed the money” . She only told me about this on our way to my grandparents out of state.
I couldn’t tell them anything negative at all or I’d be kicked out of the house. So for those of you from my previous posts that is why I could not tell them anything. Just like I can’t report my mom for stealing my pay because i would be kicked out.
She told me she would not be replacing my tires and that I would have to & also do all the repairs on the car (even though I don’t own it ) but yes I drive it and I do need a car to get to work and home.
I am working on getting a car this summer hopefully before anything serious happens to the car so I don’t have to repair anything . The car was “given” to me with the engine and tire light on and also the low tire pressure light is now on
And yes I’m aware I can get the pressure done for free it just came on recently
I’m just a little conflicted on what I should do about her missing speaker . She stole $500 ish from me and then also cheated me out of tires because she needed the money. I really don’t feel like I should pay for her speaker considering she stole $500 from me and $500 for money for tires .
I want to replace my room door because there is a giant hole in it . My family sticks their hand through and unlocks it to come in . I do want to take the door cost off my rent . I do also want to buy a knob where I could unlock the door from the outside with a key . Which I would also take off my rent. Also including costs for someone to install it.
My rent is $300 . Basically $100 for car insurance, $100 for my phone bill that is on her account etc , and $100 for rent rent . In addition to buying a car that I will own and pay insurance all under my name ; I want to get my own phone that I own.
My drunk father’s rent is also $300 . Which he hasn’t paid in 2 months . I am behind 2 months as well and I don’t really want to pay her rent when my grown adult father doesn’t and he’s 55.
I just need some advice on how to go about this all . I know I should choose my battles . But money is an important one .

I've gotten accustom to using proton pass (PP) for all my personal and business credentials across multiple organizations. I'm now at the point with a new business where I need to share access to platforms that dont provide team logins for new staff members. With this new business, I'm looking for options/ an approach to share access on a organizational level with staff while keeping things simple from a UX standpoint. Here are my considerations:
  1. I want to personally continue to leverage one PP instance (my personal proton pass account) since I use it daily for credentials that are personal, from this new business and multiple other businesses.
  2. I need this new business' password manager setup to be easily transferrable. Meaning when I sell this business in the future I want to be able to easily transfer access to all company wide credentials and it not be tied to any personal or other business credentials.
My idea: I was thinking I could create a new PP paid account with an email from the new business (accounts@newbusiness.com) and create and share various vaults with individual users. I would have the staff create free personal proton pass accounts and then share the specific vaults to the emails they used to sign up. The vault I make and share with my myself would just replace the logins I currently have in my personal proton pass account related to this new business. All new staff would get their appropriate access with individual free proton pass accounts. Lastly, when I sell the business I would simple handoff the login credentials for the paid PP account (accounts@newbusiness.com) to transition company wide account access.
Am I approaching/ thinking about this the right way?
