Dear Ladies,
I worked on a research paper with my supervisor who is the lead author. It involved a lot of numbers. They had asked me to verify all the sample numbers and I did. I double checked and informed the sample numbers at each stage correctly. The text was still being edited and though the initial no is right, the info that goes with it is wrong. I had informed this back then but the text wasn't changed. I did not notice it after in the paper before submission or during the review process. I understand that is my mistake but my supervisor is putting it all on me. I m confused, bewildered and need advice on how to deal with this situation.
Please help.

For context this happened a few days ago.
I, M 24 have been in a relationship with my boyfriend who I’ll call Red (Not his real name), M 23 for around 4 years now after we met at our mutual friends house. We had hit it off after a few drinks and I ended the night with his number and 3 months later we started chatting exclusively and 6 months later we started dating. (At this point in time we hadn’t met each other’s families and he hadn’t mentioned them during the whole 9 month period.) When we first started dating Ill admit I was head over heels and wanted him to meet my family (I have a rather large family) right away and was quite pushy about them meeting although we hadn’t been dating for 5 months at that point. But he talked me out of it saying I was “Moving too fast.” I dont know if that was a red flag or not but I don’t think it was. Anyways, around 1.5-2 years ago I learned that Red had a little brother 23 M (they are twins, Red was just born first by a little over 5 hours.) which came as a shock to me because during our entire relationship Red had never mentioned his brother and was every adamant that not only did he and his family weren’t close but that he had cut them all off. I which was a major red flag for me because for starters I had only met his brother because I had a package delivered to his house and need to pick it up. I have a key to his house but I have a habit of knocking because I OCD. So imagine my shock when the door is opened by not Red but someone who looked suspiciously like him who immediately asked me who I was. When I told him I was asking for Red (MY boyfriend) he said he wasn’t home and that he was at the store and he’ll tell him that someone came to the door to ask for him. At which I told him that I was his boyfriend and that I needed to pick up a package. He looked a little suspicious but let me in regardless and we sat in the living room and talked till red came home. I was really curious about who these mystery person was and for a while thought Red was cheating on me until his brother who I’ll call Jane (Not his real name) informed me that he was reds twin brother. I was in shock because for two years Red had told me that he had not relationship with any of his family and here’s his twin brother in his house. (I’ve been to his house before and at not pint in time did he ever have any roommates or other people living in his apartment. So it was shocking and I felt really betrayed because at that point he had already met my family.) Me and Jane made more small talk till Red came home 20 something minutes later and was shocked to see both me and Jane sitting on the couch. I was gonna stay for longer after red came home but the moment I saw his face I just couldn’t and ended up leaving shortly after. I couldn’t stop thinking about how he never told me he had a brother and later that night at like 8 pm I texted him and asked him why he never told me he had a brother nonetheless a TWIN brother and why he lied about cutting off all his family. He responded 2 hours later at 10 and asked me to call him which I did and I he told me that the reason he never told me about Jane was because although he actually didn’t cut all his family off but those he did still talk too he didn’t tell other people about too which I asked why? Only to be met with him avoiding the question and trying to steer the conversation away from his family and more to about my day which was the next red flag. We got into an argument and he walked away from the phone but didn’t hang up so I did and I ended up blocking him for 2 days before he showed up at my door apologizing up and down and swearing to never keep a secret from me again which I had believed. For the next 2 years that wasn’t the last I’d seen of Jane and I learned that Red and Jane were extremely close. (Idk if it’s a twin thing but they are just really close) But at multiple points in our relationship I thought they’ve been too close if that’s even possible. For example when we had planned an anniversary trip together and went we started discussing locations he wouldn’t agree to certain places because “Jane wouldn’t be comfortable with him going there.” Or “Jane wouldn’t like that.” When I asked why it mattered what jane liked because it’s not like he was going, he said something along the lines of. “Just let it go.” Or would just ignore me till I started talking about a different place which threw off my flow for the rest of the planning. Or when he pushed back out trip for almost a month because he didn’t want to leave Jane alone. (Jane is autistic and possibly physically disabled which I swear is important but he’s not low functioning and even lives in his own with a job.) When I brought this up Red glared at me without saying anything but let it go after a while. This is only one example of their relationship coming between things we had planned but there are plenty more examples of them being physically close as well. (Cuddling togethe sitting extremely close to each other, Jane following Red around to the point something’s they walk in sync, feeding one another,hugging for extended periods of time, playing with each other’s hands/hair ext.) I swear if they didn’t look so similar you’d think they were the ones dating. I won’t lie I’ve found myself being jealous/ disgusted at the way they treat each other but I had pushed it aside because I convinced myself that Red was just looking out for Jane. (Before you question that like I said while Jane isn’t behind mentally or anything you can see he struggles with a lot things like standing for long periods of time and often goes non verbal or only makes illegible noise that Red understands.) So I truly pushed my thoughts aside because I didn’t want to be seen as an overprotective or anything and it’s not like I have anything against Jane or anything but sometimes it’s just really fucking weird. But recently I’ve reached my limit when I went to Reds apartment and when I opened the door I saw janes phone on the counter. Which is really at weird because at the end of the day theyre family and that’s not weird but what was weird was that Jane nor Red were anywhere to be found. I had walked around the apartment for a while till I got Reds bedroom and saw both of them laying in bed together (They weren’t naked or anything but they were like laying ontop on one another, like cuddling skin to skin whilst clothed from what I could see.) When I walked in a saw them next to each other all the memories of the way they had acted with eachother rushed into my head and I just assumed the worst and started screaming and cursing which got Reds attention and he immediately sat up and started screaming back at me asking me what I was scream about and we started a screaming match and I told him off about his weird behaviour with Jane and how brothers don’t act that way with each other until they are getting with eachother and he froze and just started at me and before he could say anything else I left his apartment and drove back home. (If jane had said anything I didn’t hear it over the screaming but idk) I don’t know who the tell this to or what to do because I’m well aware that siblings don’t act that way and that something has to be going on but I don’t know how to talk to Red about it and I don’t think I should bring this up to anyone close friends because of bias so I’m asking Reddit. What do I do???

Recently I have undergone the task of setting up for a fun experience via offline game modes. With this task is to do all NHL teams’ all time rosters and to specifically have them correctly edited, or created via create a playegoalie.
Currently next up is the Buffalo Sabres. This involves assembling the ultimate all-time Sabres roster for NHL 24 customization. The roster should consist of 21 players, including forward lines 1-4, three defensive pairs, and two goaltenders.

Conclusion:
First and foremost. The reason I post to a Sabres page over say an ea nhl page is simply do the dedication involved. I don’t get nearly the amount of passion in ea nhl threads as I would by going directly to fans of that team.
Thank you to everyone who participated in creating the Ultimate All-Time Sabres roster. This project is specifically focused on the intricate and time-consuming task of customizing NHL 24 rosters. Your contributions are incredibly valuable because they allow me to quickly see your answers and make the roster happen without spending excessive time on research.
Creating these rosters involves much more than just listing players. Many of the players you’ll come up with won’t actually be in NHL 24, so I’ll need to create them via create a playegoalie. This includes matching the best face model, shot style, skating style, and all player attributes, striving for as much realism as possible rather than randomly assigning ratings. The process also entails setting accurate goal celebrations, jersey numbers, and more. Unfortunately, one limitation is that players from the no-helmet era will still have to wear helmets in the game.
Additionally, I’ll be working on creating all-time Olympic rosters, including A, B, and C teams for countries with large depths of talent, such as Team Russia. This involves making their logos and uniforms as accurate as possible given the game’s limited customization options.

Softball's season came to an end in NCAA regional play tonight with a 2nd loss to SE Louisiana.
For the things they did right, overcoming the inaugural season getting cut short due to COVID to 4 straight NCAA berths and a regular season ACC title, this season fell far short of expectations. With 10 seniors on roster, coming off 2 back-to-back Super Regionals, & preseason Top 10, the expectation was largely that this season was gonna end with a trip to the WCWS. Unfortunately, this team just never got on track to meet those expectations.
Naturally, believe there's gonna be alot of nervousness with the program moving forward. Got 6 coming in the incoming recruiting class, which probably means gotta hit the portal to fill some holes. Either way, gonna be alot of inexperience next year. I've seen on other boards from folks expressing doubts if Coach Rittman & staff are capable of the recruiting & development that will be needed to prevent a drop-off. With the 2024 results combining with a decrease in excitement & expectation from fans, 2025 is shaping up to be a crossroads for a still-young program.

In 2021, I applied and withdrew around $6000 from my RRSP to finance my education in the United States. I started this program on January 2022 and completed my education in December 2022. In early March 2024, I received a letter from The Canada Revenue Agency informing me:
"We are updating our records for your participation in the Lifelong Learning Plan (LLP) in 2021.
We need to determine if the RRSP withdrawal you made in 2021 is an eligible LLP withdrawal. We need confirmation that you or your spouse or common-law partner attended a qualifying educational full-time program for at least three consecutive months, starting in 2021 or before March 2022."
I simply sent them:
Form TL11A, Tuition, and Enrolment Certificate - University Outside Canada, (if the student attended a university outside Canada)
before the the 30 day deadline.
The CRA send me another notification:
"The educational institution you attended was not a university, college, or other designated educational institution certified by Employment and Social Development Canada (ESDC) as a private educational institution. As a result, you are ineligible to participate in the LLP. Therefore, the RRSP withdrawal(s) will be included in your income for 2021."

I need to write this out cause I’m sitting in bed ruminating on what I think is to come and can’t think straight…need to organize my mind of things I think will happen in each ep.
Ep 5: Telling their families. Fight with Eloise she tells her she needs to tell him but doesn’t force her hand in this confrontation. Portia getting some angry Colin when he goes to declare he is gonna marry her and then be like oh yeah and do we have your permission cause I already told my family first. Maybe this leads to a heart to heart with Pen/Portia after Colin leaves. Drawing room scene this episode? Engagement party towards end of ep 5? Eloise ultimatum before engagement party.
What if Colin finds out about LW from Penelope after she faints at the engagement party. He takes her to his room or something. Or he visits her at her home to check on how she is feeling. MVP Rae helps. She just can’t keep it inside anymore and confesses because she knows she can’t marry him without telling him not because of an ultimatum but because he deserves to know and to decide. Consent in all things and all ways works both ways. I need him to know. She tries to tell him her reasons, he doesn’t want to hear it, he gets angry and says hurtful things.
He leaves. She cries. He take some space but they reconcile because he loves her. He finds out she has always loved him. Not sure we will get Colin’s love confession too… but I mean hopefully his confounded feelings are clear to him to be love and not just like cause we all know he loves her. She promises that she is done with LW. She apologizes for the hurt she has caused and explains her truth in the choices me made without excuses just honesty. She gives up LW for Colin. She publishes a goodbye issue and that is enough for Eloise to let it go Tick Tock wise but they are still broken up as friends.
Ep 6: They get married at the beginning of this episode. We better get an actual wedding for POLIN. And a wedding on the show that’s not filled with drama. I need a wedding with no LW secret hanging over them. I need it! Everyone is on a hunt for LW because the Queen is sad no issues are coming out and so does that bounty to find her. Pen and Colin are married and move to their house and have lots of sex including the mirror scene. I cannot have them do a mirror since before he knows the truth. The whole point is to see her ALL of her and vice versa. No lies please Shondaland. They are enjoying marital bliss. Cressida has beer pressure of being sold (married) to some old man declares herself to be LW due to the Queens Bounty. Pen ain’t gonna let her steal her life’s work and breaks her promise to Colin by publishing one last issue and calls Cressida out. Colin catches her doing this. End of episode.
Ep 7: Now this is where we see the really angry Colin. He is pissed that she endangered herself, did this without talking to him, and broke her promise. They have it out in the carriage. Unless the writers decide to go for a carriage kink I cannot foresee sexy times in Carriage 2.0. They continue to have it out at home and they are both honest. Colin about his jealousy and Pen about what LW has been/meant for her all these years and that she felt she had to give it up to not lose Colin. Love Confession from Colin? Stay x3 this episode. Colin supporting her writing and her supporting his.
Ep 8: LW bargain/alliance with Queen to save her family. Colin having Pen edit his writing and telling her he is working on a book. Pen being a new version of LW? Heir Plot is left for S4? I kinda don’t want Pen and Colin to be weighed down to the Featheringtons but I kinda also want Pen to save her family this way and them to bow down to her supremely cause I’m petty vs having LW/Pen at the Queen’s mercy.
Epilogue: They leave for Greece or any city that’s not one of the 17 Colin fucked around in for their honeymoon. J/K…sort of…not really.

Repost cause of the title.
So this issue happened yesterday afternoon. For context my dad was out on a business trip when he recieved a call from a guy posing to be "Bangalore police". It was a WhatsApp call with the dp as DGP Pratap Reddy. He apparently asked a few questions like "when was the last time you saw your son?" "when was the last time you spoke to him?" and then claimed that I was at the police station. He got my dad's name and my name right which caused my dad to be a little worried about the situation. My dad immediately called up to check on me and make sure everything was good. Now fortunately I was at home with my mom as I have my end sems going on and I have breaks between my paper. The scammer apparently called him repeatedly asking why my dad cut the call and it being very disrespectful and could have some serious consequences.
Now imagine if both my parents are at work and I am in college or in a situation where I'm unable to pick their call. Recieving a call like this could cause a lot of panic and it is natural to miss the tell tale signs of this being a scam when one is in such a state. So let this be a reminder to stay vigilant of such scams that seem to be running rampant now a days.

So, how's everyone feeling about the spoiled cards so far? Obviously price aside, because I don't think they'll be worth the money shops will initially try to sell them for... Do you think they'll be decent decks?
When there was that massive leak, I was so excited for the Eldrazi deck! There were so many splashy, overpowered cards that made me go "this is so extra, it's dumb. It's perfect for casual". Then after that initial wave, there were so many spoiled cards that fuelled the hypothesis that the deck would be filled with mediocre cards with 'devoid', so now I'm split...
The Tarmogoyf deck doesn't seem that good tbh. Tarmogoyf is a bad card in EDH, IMO. Yes, they tried to spice up the goyfs and the commander ability is cool, but having an army of tarmogoyfs is still kinda meh, I'd say. I didn't spot any broken cards there. Could be a fun, definitely nostalgic deck, but as for power level, nothing special (don't get me wrong, sometimes a fun deck is better than a powerful one, as I'm pretty much playing in a casual pod).
Simic seems to be doing simic things. I don't think it'll be particularly powerful out of the box, but it opens up a lot of avenues for simic degeneracy. I love the potential it has (which I'll definitely steal from the creative people here), but I don't think it'll be strong from the get go.
The energy deck is the one I'm most indifferent to. I don't particularly enjoy energy counters and I just got the Fallout energy deck. However, I did see some amazing powerful energy cads spoiled, so maybe this will turn things around. I also dislike the art of the commander. He looks like he's about to ask me "tall, grande or venti" while low-key trying to tell me to listen to his new track on Spotify.
Again, price aside, from the things we've seen spoiled, what are your thoughts on the decks? Both on out-of-the-box power and the upgrade potential.

anyone else downtown? the fire alarm in the 5th and walnut garage has been going off for 2 hrs now. i called the non emergency number like 45 minutes ago and they took down my name and number and hung up. is there anything else i can do ?

There’s never been a living being who didn’t have parents (whether said parents are still alive or not), so if people were debating whether or not this robot counted as a living thing, I imagine this issue would come up. The obvious answer would be its creatos, but IRL, robots have teams of several people who build them; would all those people be its parents, or only those who had a specific role in its creation? Would the person who runs the company/organization those people worked for be its parent? Both?

Currently working in a small company (~150 employees total) and a little while ago new management rolled in. Started restructuring company-wide and made quite a number of new hires in analyst-level roles, almost all newly created roles by them as a result of their restructuring project, who I've had to cross-functionally work with.
The problem is that all of them have never coded in their lives and everything is pretty much built in Python and SQL. Now I have to explain how my code works without ever having to reference my code and justify the outputs of my code a-la ELI5 when the numbers "don't look right" to them so many times it's driving me nuts. Not to mention the pile of ad-hoc requests to extract or collate data.
The job adverts apparently didn't even mention Python and SQL as I later found out. None of the above problem would arise if management would actually hire people who can code or at least during the hiring process consult with the existing team members because the new hires suddenly pop into the office out of the blue.
Regardless, it's a bygone now and I guess it's time to start job hunting. To that end and per the title, are there things you've done in past interviews to get an idea of how a team or company is culturally in terms of its technical operations? Perhaps something to gauge how techincally-oriented the management is, does the company's management decision-making process respect its technical staff, etc.

I think I’ve found my calling in life – helping the alone and abandoned street dogs of Thailand.
It’s well known that there’s stray dogs all over Thailand – known as Soi Dogs. In the tourist areas such as Bangkok, Phuket, Koh Samui etc – some of these dogs get lucky and are taken care of by one of the great charities operating in these areas.
However, since moving to a more rural area of Thailand, Huai Krot, I’ve noticed the dogs here seem to have it a lot harder. There’s no charities to take care of them and no tourists looking out for them. The vast majority of the Thai general public have their own concerns and worries and don’t see that taking care of the dogs (and cats, birds etc) is important or should concern them.
Dogs here, for the most part, get treated like pests, almost the same as rats and pigeons etc. They’re hit, kicked, have rocks thrown at them, cars hit them and don’t stop. A lot of them have skin problems or more serious injuries and very people try to help them. They’re also hungry and rarely have access to clean water.
There are some good people here who try to help and feed the dogs out of their own pocket, but when you are struggling to feed yourself and your family, the help you can offer the dogs becomes quite limited.
Since the start of this year I’ve been trying to do as much as I can for the dogs in my local area. I provide as much food and water as I can and I’ve already garnered a bit of a reputation for being “that farang who helps the dogs”. I very much enjoy doing it and I love to see the difference in the timid dogs after you’ve fed them a few times.
However what I’ve been able to do is just a drop in the ocean compared to how many dogs here need some help. I’ve talked about doing something properly for quite a while now – and I think there’s no better time than now to get started helping the dogs of Huai Krot and the wider area.
I’ve also seen some dogs in pretty horrendous states including a dog that had been savaged by a pack of other dogs and had its rear left leg almost ripped off. Helping this dog was well out of my scope – but I hope in the future I will be able to help every dog that needs it.
The eventual goal would be to have a proper facility for homing and taking care of any local dogs that need it. But to get started I’m going to concentrate on feeding, watering and providing medicine and medical care for as many dogs as possible. We are trying to raise $5000 to pay for the following;
• $2000 for food and water supplies including bowls • $2000 for medicines – primarily Bravecto – for helping with Mange which is very prevalent around here. This would also include Tick and Flea medicines/collars • $600 for a Motorbike with Sidecar for transporting large amounts of food – and also for transporting dogs to the vet when needs arise • $400 – the remaining $400 would be kept in reserve for any unplanned emergencies or unexpected costs etc
I am jumping into the deep end here. I just want to help the dogs living around here as they are out of reach of most of the major charities and seem forgotten about. This is just the beginning with the end goal eventually being that we are able to open a facility to not only help dogs but home them as well. This is far down the line though and we need to start somewhere. So making sure as many dogs as possible are getting regular food and water and have access to medications to improve their quality of life would be a good place to start.

Accepted to both schools for engineering. I chose them both for outdoor culture and of course the ability to major in engineering (likely mechanical).
Now I am struggling on which to attend. Here are my thoughts:
SLO
Pros - small classes, teachers might know me, smaller campus, more laid back vibe, great weather and things to do year round. Seems a little happier than CU.
Cons - quarter system more intense, concerned about the stress of that, plus hard to switch major if I leave engineering, distance from my family in midwest. No experience with Cal culture.
BOULDER
Pros - seems like more rah-rah, football, etc., still outdoor culture, closer to home, know a few people there and family friends in Denver who I could call in emergency. Engineers live together, which might help with study groups.
Cons - bigger everything, big classes, bigger campus, just a number among so many students, also concerned over party/drug culture (I will drink sometimes but no drugs) - the culture seems normalized there including a few friends who said hard drugs are more prevalent.
Thoughts? Thanks, really struggling. If SLO were closer to family and on slower semester, I think that would make it the one, but the first part won't change and the semester piece might in a couple years.

For several of the jobs I've applied to I am listed as the sole applicant, or one of two; I have only worked low-wage jobs, but a previous position I worked at also posted on GD (and possibly another site) for less pay than these, but according to my previous boss received about 60 applicants (I saw several coming in for interviews prior to leaving). Are these email estimates misleading? Just curious if anyone has direct experience. I've been looking for an answer but so far haven't found much of anything.

Bit of a far fetched thing, but since I’ve started Vyvanse I’ve been getting hypothyroid symptoms and recently tested for normal levels besides one being in the subclinical range. Leading to the doctor to presume “subclinical-hypothyroidism”
Has anyone had this experience where the meds were messing with your thyroid production, it’s strange to me but I don’t believe I had any issues with my thyroid before especially given what the current side effects are.
It’s quite disheartening because Vyvanse has really helped me in other ways but would switching to any of the other stimulants have less of an effect on it messing with my thyroid? Or has anyone switched and had say Ritalin or dex IR stop the fluctuating thyroid levels?
It seems a bit rich that all of a sudden I’m having thyroid issues or it was already messed up previously because as I’m aware it’s never been a problem in the past prior to started treatment which leads me to suspect Vyvanse.
Symptoms; (common/uncommon side effects but as a whole point towards something else)

• dry course hair, alopecia, diffuse thinning and eyebrow hair loss (typically a sign of hypo)
  
• difficulty sleeping/nightmares (consistently)
  
• cold sensitivity (especially in the hands)
  
• no consistency day to day on meds (despite being strict w/ diet and supplementation)
  
• fatigue. Muscle/joint soreness (sporadically)
  
• tend to wake up w/ a puffy face/sinus pressure.
  

If anyone has had any experience with these issues, or your thyroid was messing up during ADHD treatment I’d love to hear from you!

I started on 20mg and increased to 30mg at 1 month and have stayed there since.
I understand this isn’t a cure all, and it does come down to working on these things myself. But the main point is I believe it’s effecting my immune system, and 3 months in it’s gotten worse in those particular areas, like the focus of the post being thyroid TSH rising and was wondering if someone in here had experienced this or become diagnosed w/“subclinical-hypothyroidism”, or at least the same side effects that could mimic it. If it’s not common with anyone in the community I guess it shows it could be either a variable of the meds affecting me individually based on my own physiology or is unrelated entirely and is an underlying issue.
