Hello everyone! Widowmaker enjoyer here! I am currently hard stuck gold/ plat and would love to receive tips on how I can improve at the game and eventually win more games. I tend to not solo Q and usually 3- stack or 5-stack. If anyone can watch this match replay and give me some tips on how I can improve whether is positioning, mechanics, game sense I would be extremely grateful!

Let me tell you about a job I was recruited for and how it has been going so far.
I was minding my own business, content in my current job when I received an email about a job I had skills for and the recruiter thought that based on my experience I would be a good fit.I looked up the job and could see why the recruiter thought that and I applied thinking nothing of it.
This was followed by a quick 10 question 'test', and then followed by an 8 question essay answer 'test' This was followed by two panel interviews with five people each and then that's when the fun started. I was selected to participate in on site interviews, but due to recent surgery and an inability to travel I withdrew from the job and moved all my research into an archive.
A day latter I got a call from the person who would be my boss, essentially saying I was the top candidate and they didnt want me to withdraw. So, they accommodated me doing the on-site interviews remote which consisted of another five person interview and then a 40 person interview. The next day I did another three interviews with three different people.
Then, they wanted even more interviews on-site, which by this time I convinced my doctor to let me travel. On site was another panel interview with three people who were in other interviews along the way and by this time I'm just - whatever and just answer all the questions as bluntly as possible.
I was then offered the job the next day.

It's just crazy how many interviews there were. Now, it is C-suite type job, but this selection process has been ridiculous.

First of all, I am a pansexual cisgender woman. I know this looks like I have the upper hand, but trust me, I don’t.
I dated this person a couple months ago and some things felt off; however, she always played the victim card, the heartbroken, the innocent trans woman who only needed a chance in love. And me, as the underdog advocate that I am, fell for that.
I’m conscious that being a trans person is by itself already a difficult process and that you have to put up with a lot of shit that society gives you. But it’s precisely the respect that I have for your journey that motivates me to do this.
While I was dating her, sometimes she let a sexist joke or two slide. You know, like, “I wanted to be a woman, but now I don’t know if I want to be a 30-year-old woman.“ “I didn’t want to be a girl when I was a kid because while I was playing videogames, my sisters were helping out my mom in the kitchen.”
You know, sexist jokes.
But one day, we were going to order food and she said, “Why would I drink pineapple juice? Are you going to swallow my cum or what?”
And that immediately rang the alarm. She said I didn’t have a sense of humor. She said it was my fault because I took things too personal and if I was queer-er, I would actually just laugh and let it go.
We didn’t last long. She still couldn’t get over her ex (allegedly). She spoke about other women she has dated and it was super off for me. Sex was completely one-sided. She was extremely codependent. She spoke mean things about me with her friends while we were still dating!
I tried to break up with her multiple times. She even threatened me to unalive herself. She shared she had done it in the past and she said that she would do it again if I left her.
It was the worst! I was miserable.
Once we broke up, the real horror began. She started to use me for reassurance in a very twisted way. She moved on immediately with a former ex (she only ever has exes in her radar), and she started to be all like,
“Oh, please, when you go out with new people try not to talk a lot about me. Like, I know you’re still into me, but--”
“I know I was the love of your life.”
“I know you so damn well. I know you are not as happy as you were with me with this new person that you’re dating.”
Etc., etc., etc.
All of this, she told me while being involved with someone else, the ex that she hoovered back in when we broke up.
Next thing I know, something fun happened. I met a person who accused her—before her transition, when she was a man—of abuse.
It’s really weird because they two have friends in common and after she made the accusation, no one believe her. They chose to believe him. So he was a victim. He chose to start his transition not shortly after.
I have been having these ideas in my head trying to make sense of all of it. I know for a fact that she is emotionally violent. I know for a fact that she is a compulsive liar. I know for a fact that even though she is a woman, she has kept the worse aspects of being a man within her personality.
There’s also this thing—she is not friends with straight nor gay men anymore. She has one bisexual friend who identifies as a man and that’s it. And she envies him thoroughly. But she is not friends with men, really.
All of her friends are female and either dated her as a man or now as a woman. She always stays friends with the exes. Good friends. She still talks to them. Mostly, about her new conquest. All she has to tell is about her relationships.
When we broke up, she pretended to do the same. She wanted to stay friends and she started to sell this story where I was the confused ✨cisgender woman✨ since she is now dating a non-binary person.
She almost had a panic attack when I blocked out of my Instagram. She wanted to still see my Stories, see my content. Not because she wanted to keep me in her life but rather as a way of control. That way, she is in control of the narrative. And she was making sure that we are friends, so I wouldn’t expose her?
I am also kind of a closeted writer and while we were dating, I would tell her that I will write a book about our romance. When we were dating, this excited her. Yet, when we broke up, she bluffed, “Oh, I know that writing a book about me is the only natural thing to do after being with me,” but then she warned me, “But you cannot write a book about a villain who is a trans because people will use this as fuel to keep on hating the community.” How would she know she would be the villain?
I think this person is evil. And I want to understand why. I want to out her—not much for me but for the 23-year-old she is dating now. And I want none of this to hace a negative effect on the trans community because she is just 1 fucking person out of millions.

Mtw2 has been on of the most respected,bought,modded and loved game ever in the franchise. The game has been out for 18 years and still has a community. But yet we’re not getting a remake any time soon. I’m getting tired of the original at this point. The game get repetitive so easily since the ai does a selective of choices when leads to the same thing. I have thousands of hours on this game. Well if we were going to get a remake here’s the things I would want

1. More cites. So you know how in the expansion pack there’s more cites then in the grand campaign? Like the holy lands are way more specific. And especially in the America’s. I would want that all in the grand campaign. Like Britain for example in the grand campaign it takes me less then 10 turns to conquer the British isles but in the expansion it’s so much harder. Speaking of the expansion pack we should also add culture with religion. It makes sense to have both
   
2. More factions. There so much potential in the map like in Iberia of course there’s Spain and Portugal why not add Aragon? They’re right there with the same exact land in history but no there just “rebels” which makes no sense. Same with Norway they have Oslo but no there just rebels. Same with Sweden they have Stockholm but no they’re just rebels. Same with Finland they have Helsinki but no they’re just rebels. Same with Ireland they have Dublin but no they’re just rebels. Same with wales they have Inverness but no they’re just rebels same with Estonia and Lithuania I could go on for a long time but I’m going to stop there. The map feels dead at some points
   
3. Bigger map. Kind of the same with number 1 but we should expand more like Iceland would be fun same with the folk islands. Especially expanding Norway,Sweden and finland more instead of them have little pieces of land. But not to big like empire or something I want there to be a lot of cites in a good size map like. I want the map to be like europe(of course with North Africa and the Middle East)
   
4. The ability to make a branch out of your fraction that would be managed by the AI kind of like a vassal. You know what I mean? Like it’s so annoying going on the crusade then losing the settlement 5 turns later. Instead of that you could make a branch like the Holy State of England(made up name) where you give up that land and the surrounding cities to make a new faction which would be loyal to you and pay you tributes. You could make your 2nd son the head of the faction. Notability the faction would be controlled by a AI and after it’s made you can’t unmake it or change the faction leader. Also since we’re talking about sons they should add the ability to change your faction heir it’s present on the mobile but not on PC.
   
5. Events. So again you know how in the expansion pack there’s events like Willam Wallace showing up? I would want that like key points in history like the Turks getting the grand canon or the French Revolution where there’s new faction that tries to take your faction kind of like the baron alliance? That would be interesting and challenging this would probably only in hard mode
   
6. Trading and prisoners . Once you establish trade rights,map information and military rights it’s dead after that. Besides settlements. So instead of having 3 options release,ransom,execute we should add capture where you would keep the prisoners(Along with generals and family members)within your army which would slow you down and later transfer them into settlements where you could bargain them in diplomatic missions. this would also add more building options.Notably this would lower your security and lower public happiness.
   
7. Also better graphics obviously. But I don’t want change to the gameplay mechanics they’re already pretty good.

Hi, just checking in to see if there are any groups of players or single players that want an adc/mid in the mix! I play lots of mages mid and a range of marksmen. Decent champ pool! It can be for fun or to climb if we click, either way! Just lmk and we can add each other.

TLDR: I’m not going to be using my mimic tear in the dlc due to the fact that it ruined my experience playing Elden ring. I felt compelled to use mostly because I wanted to just get to the ending out of sheer laziness.
My dlc resolution is to not use my mimic tear during the dlc.
During the first half of my first and only playthrough, I was only using my spirit wolves to beat bosses not only because it de-aggroed the boss, but because it also did a small amount of damage and has a small amount of health. This made me actually think and learn while fighting the bosses, and I actually felt really good when I finally killed the boss after 20-30 tries.
This all changed when I got the mimic tear during my second half of the playthrough. Wanting to get done with the game quickly, I used the mimic tear to beat the main game. Though most of them thankfully was still difficult to beat even with the mimic tear by my side, a decent amount of them I was able to beat within 2-10 tries.
Obviously, this made me feel way less gratification from beating the bosses, which made me felt less happy about beating the game than what I would have been without using the mimic tear. I felt so compelled to use the mimic tear at times that I’ve used it to beat malenia within 5 tries (although I did beat her first phase without using mimic tear, which took me two hours).
So, for the sake of me actually feeling good and having a good time when fighting bosses, I’m going to put down the mimic tear, and play the game without the cheese involved.

Let me preface this whole thing with me saying yes I know my swing is gonna be the main game changer and clubs cant fix me completely. Went to my local PGA superstore today looking to get a new driver, been looking around online for a while and before hitting anything kinda had it narrowed down to 2, the TM Sim 2 Max and the Ping G425 Max. Im currently hitting a R Flex old Cobra S3, and while it has been good to me since ive started playing maybe a year and a half ago Ive been thinking I need a stiff shaft now as ive grown into a natural cut/fade and slice on a rough day. So got the the store and learned they had the Sim 2 Max (Stock stiff shaft) on clearance new and a used G425 Max (with X Flex Tensei Orange) , went to hit both and learned i had about a 105 swing speed, didn't really have anyone standing around so no one to ask questions hence why im asking here. But I definitely felt like I was hitting the X Flex G425 better numbers wise, and im just confused whether that was cause it was the club/shaft combo suited me better cause I definitely going into it was thinking I wasnt fast enough for X flex, with that said the Sim 2 max was surprisingly disappointing, felt like it was going nowhere, given it still had the plastic wrap and was taped over with like thick masking tape, but distance wise was probably getting between 275-280 total with G425 and 270 on the top end with the Sim 2, and was definitely also leaking the Sim 2 out to right more. I guess my main concern is that X Flex will be too stiff if I dont have a consistent swing, and maybe I should grow into the Sim 2 Max cause Ive heard great things about both. Any opinions appreciated im just way to indecisive to make purchases like this.

I just came back to the game after not playing for a couple days. I swear the game runs a bit better all of a sudden and there's a bunch of little things like weapon recoil that I swear feels smoother. I feel like I'm going crazy with all the things I'm noticing.

Let me preface with I know no one likely knows for sure. I’m just curious how often they do updates/fixes? Any estimate when the next will be? I started playing a few weeks ago and I can’t advance the main quest because I’m having the “prove your devotion” bug where I’ve grown 648486 wild trees and it still says 0/5. This stops me from being able to further “Strange Things Afoot” quest too. I can only do side quests right now. I’ve tried evvvvvvery work around I’ve seen online and no luck. So I’m just banking on the next updates. I filed a ticket and they replied that they’re aware of the bug and working on a fix. I assume it won’t come out till the next update. Soooo I’ve just spent the last two weeks doing random tasks and working on relationships with villagers to get their side quests so I have more to do in game. But I’m running out of things to do/it’s starting to get a bit tedious. I don’t want to lose interest because I was having SO much fun until I got stuck! Is it kind of sporadic updates? Monthly? Every X amount of months? Thanks in advance 😊

Genuinely curious. Maybe there’s a good reason not to have one, but all I can think is that it would greatly benefit the game. Could be limited to something like 10k players and players at a certain level or playtime would be invited to test future patches before release. There’s no better way to get thousands of hours of play testing than through a public beta, and nobody even has to get paid to do it. I’m sure some server space could be allocated to one as the current player counts are much lower than the heavy loads near release.

My daughter is doing youth volleyball right now. She's on a team of 3rd and 4th graders and been playing for like 8 weeks. My wife and I are also coaching her team despite knowing nothing about coaching or playing volleyball.
The regular season was...not great. They only won one match out of five, and lost a couple by pretty large margins. But they showed improvement and they were working hard.
Today was their tournament and if I'm really honest I didn't expect them to do great. In the seeding round they were 3-1 and ended up 5th seed out of 6 teams.
But holy shit did they turn things around in the elimination part of the tournament. They got kind of lucky because the first two seeds got a bye in the 1st round so they were matched up 5 vs. 4. They won their first game and then something just sort of clicked for them. It's like the lightbulb turned on for all of them and they realized "Oh, we can do this"
They won their second game to eliminate the 4 seed and then were playing the 2 seed who had already beaten them pretty badly in the seeding round. They lost their first game, won the second, and then killed it in the tiebreaker game to move on to the finals.
The finals were, of course, against the Titans. This was the team that had kicked the shit out of them earlier in the season, and boy was the team aptly named. I don't know how it worked out that way but every girl on that team was huge. They were the same size as most of the 5th and 6th grade teams and they were good too.
I wish I could say they won, but they didn't. They lost their two championship games 25-22 and 26-24. But against a team that had beaten them by 15+ points earlier in the season it was an incredible showing.
There were tears, but at the end of the day they walked out with their heads held high and they were proud of themselves. And goddamn was I proud of them too.

Many FPS games have keys that work either by pressing or releasing a button.
If in the America's Army Proving Grounds game I press the "7" button (set to trow a nade) and hold it down... I "cook" the fuse of a grenade and I throw the grenade ONLY when I release the button, with the grenade very close to exploding.
If with the MM712 I select one of the side buttons as button "7" and press it... even if I keep it pressed I immediately launch the grenade (and the opponent has 6 seconds to run away). DOES NOT EXIST!
So the gaming mouse is useless to play AAPG, that's a FPS game! Is it possible that there is no way to "hold down" the button until I release it, like in all 5 euro chinese ones??
Another thing I noticed: if I press and hold down a key on the keyboard... the automatic repetition starts after a few seconds, if I press the same key by selecting it with the mouse... I press only once ad repeat never starts. So to press the key "7" by the keyboard and to press "7" by a mouse button are completely different things.
Is there a way to resolve the problem? Through Master Plus I don't see anything about it.

I'm not sure where to post this, as time passes, I doubt my issue is really AvPD, although some issues are quite similar. For instance, the reason I procrastinate is to avoid difficult emotions and feelings.
This week, up until today (as I had anticipated) has gone quite well. Except for Monday, because I was suffering the consequences of not sleeping enough on Sunday.
There are some almost constant issues with my life that I'm trying to work on. I'll try to be brief:

• I have trouble sleeping. I feel a lot of anxiety and guilt at night, I don't want the day to end because I don't want next day to begin. I think this happens mainly because I know I'm not spending my time wisely and I waste a lot of time doing nothing (well, not really "nothing", I'm actually avoiding).
• I'm trying to lose weight and it's been incredibly difficult. I'm an emotional eater and I'm always anxious. Eating something I shouldn't eat causes a brief feeling of pleasure followed by guilt and anxiety, which makes me want to eat more. On top of guilt and anxiety, I tend to eat when I'm bored, which happens a lot if I'm wasting my time.
• I procrastinate a lot. I don't want to do boring tasks, I don't want to do tedious tasks, I don't want to face the idea that I'm not smart enough, which happens when I read something and I don't instantly understand it. In an attempt to not procrastinate, I keep myself from doing things I know will absorb too much of my time, like playing videogames I actually like. So I end up doing nothing productive (as in good for me, including having fun).
• My death drive is usually too strong, so I don't really feel like doing things, even if I enjoy them. I mean, one reason of not playing videogames I would enjoy playing is being sensible and knowing I wouldn't be able to control myself, spend too much time playing and then not doing other things I need to do; but this is another important reason. Overcoming this everyday is a huge effort for me. This obviously doesn't help with any of the above. It leads me to procrastinate more, that increases anxiety and guilt, so I eat more and then I can't sleep because of the piled up guilt and anxiety.

And it's a vicious cycle, because the following day, after not sleeping enough, I actually have an "excuse": I'm sleepy and tired.
Some more context: I'm currently working full time and studying a master's part time. I have three subjects this semester and I find all of them interesting, but there is one I love, one that is difficult and one that is boring (the subject is interesting, the assignments are boring). The next deadline is next week for all three (Monday, Friday and Sunday respectively). My uncle is visiting next weekend, so I have to finish them all before the weekend if I want to spend time with him.
A friend helped me with the difficult one, he doesn't know it but thanks to him I have some external pressure to finish it early and discuss it.
This week I planned on working on the one I like. I managed to do something everyday, my plan was to finish it on Friday but I was done on Thursday. I managed to be productive and finish the assignment way before the deadline. This means I wasn't bored, I didn't overeat and I slept better than any other week.
This is huge for me. I mean, I'm sure I could have also taken some time to exercise, but I don't expect to completely fix a problem I've been having for half of my life all of a sudden. I'm being realistic.
I also know this doesn't mean I am half fixed either. I managed to do this only because it was the subject I like. And I knew I would procrastinate again as soon as I started "working" on the boring assignment. Which is what happened today (is knowing yourself too well a "self-fulfilling prophecy"?).
It was a peek of what I can do, of what my life can be. It's a small step on the right direction. And the best part: even though it was an effort on my part, it wasn't a huge one. I feel like it was just the right amount to feel satisfaction after it's done.

I feel there's no way to really counter a demo - if someone wants to blow you up repeatedly, or make it their playstyle, there isn't much you can do. Hell, you can be blow up again right away before you can even control your car after respawning.
But what if it made the attacker also explode? It'd become more of a decision: do I sacrifice my car and position for this play? Will it help my team to do this? Is it worth it?
It wouldn't change much for most demos, as they're often done as the last piece of a play, a way to get rid of the last car back, or as a last resort. But it'd certainly make "unnecessary" demos go away, by making them have too much risk to be worth it. It's too big a change at this point, and my buddies were vehemently arguing against such a mechanic, but oh well. They'd be like a tactical foul - you'd have to think real hard about what your demo can do.
After all, both cars already explode when it's nose-to-nose, so it's not THAT much of a leap in logic that the attacker hitting a car at ANY angle while supersonic would make the game MORE physical. Defenders would also have to put their car on the line to defend, but at least they'd gain a way to fight back against someone going in recklessly purely for the demo.

Today, I watched the anime ghost in the shell 1995 for the first time ever. I was impressed and the OST, making of cyborg, will be the music for this post as I type. I think the world is like ghost in the shell, a dystopia.
Lately, people think I left or died. Either way, it doesn't matter because no one would care. I am still here, even if people forgot. I think this subreddit is weird, a strange community. I am a hikikomori, who exists in silence. Even online, reddit, people will pull others down, bias and herd mentality.
I can't express what I think, so I won't say what I would like to express about this subreddit, but it is hard for hikikomori to be here.
What I see of this subreddit is that it is mostly just homebodies, neets, and normies. If you like the label of hikikomori, then by all means go ahead. I just won't agree with you, silently.
I am hikikomori, not neet or hikineet. Even if I wanted a job, I can't consider since no one would ever hire me. Hikikomori have no interest in jobs. The bias, people play favorites here, it is sad. Herd mentality, people want to see everyone see and think the same, popular opinions. There is no reason to be here, as a hikikomori, I don't see why people insist, I am only lurking. An elitist sub is no fun, but that is what this place is. it is also filthy, for those who can see.
Posters are just feed for online consumption and entertainment purposes. Nobody is your friend or anything. Others will be the clown?

I am still a severe hikikomori, a virgin, a male yandere, never been in a relationship, have any friends, and a failure. Of course "hikikomori" appear who have no true hikikomori struggles in this sub. I guess it is easier to be fake hikikomori than real?
My hikikomori existence, is a joke? No one can believe me when I say I have it the worst, it is concerning, but again hardly anyone has lived like a severe hikikomori as me.

Hoi4 is a WW2 simulator game that required WW2 to actually start, and the one who starts WW2 is ALWAYS Germany. Fascism, Kaiser, and Democratic path, it doesn't matter what you do, Germany starts WW2. And for that simple reason, the Democratic Germany path is so flawed to the point where it doesn't even need to exist.
In hoi4 when a country causes world tension to go up, Democratic countries react by having a lesser opinion of the country that caused that world tension. If a country has high world tension, Democratic countries hate that country. So tell me, when Germany goes Democratic, and IMMEDIATELY the first focus you take, "The Great Red Menace" produces 10 world tension, how does that make any sense at all? How are you supposed to collaborate with other Democratic countries if they all hate you? Why does Democratic Germany start a war with the USSR? That's more world tension to go against you.
Even if they remade the German focus tree and made it so that Democratic Germany DIDN'T cause conflict then there would be NO point in playing hoi4 at all, because WW2 would never start. Yeah, Italy's gonna do some dumb shit, but Italy is trivially easy to capitulate.
If they find some way to make a Democratic Germany work then I applaud them, but in my opinion, Fascism, Monarchy, and Communism is good enough. Democratic Germany just doesn't work.

I am attempting to start a Windows LAN game with a Linux Mint computer that is taken off the Internet by not specifying a gateway address. The game is Warcraft III a pre-Reforged version, aka Warcraft III: The Frozen Throne.
The reason I am doing this is that I am preparing for the day that I have to use this Mint computer without Internet access on... whatever, don't ask.
The symptom is that the Mint computer would not see the games created by the Windows computer. Before taking out the gateway, the Mint computer would see it, after taking out the gateway, not so.
I know that LAN games will run without gateway addresses as gateways only serve their purposes by linking computers in its network to computers outside it, so I know taking out the gateway is not the cause of the problem itself, and taking out the gateway address only severs the connection between the computer and computers outside the network.
At the same time, that's the problem.
I do have Virtualbox installed, and I am trying to find the Host-only adaptor for it. On a Windows machine, which was also taken offline, the only way I can LAN game that machine to another machine in the network was to disable the Host-only Adaptor in the network settings. I can't find that in the Mint computer.
Does anyone know of a way that I can play a Warcraft III TFT game with the Mint computer without a gateway specified, like playing it without an Internet connection?
EDIT: I will add that I can use the network without the Gateway specified, and ping to it, but I just can't access the Internet as was intended.
