Looking for GPU and CPU upgrades ($500)

2024.06.02 07:29 Sorin_Markov_1947 Looking for GPU and CPU upgrades ($500)

I've been unhappy with the performance of my GTX 570 and Ryzen 5 3600 with relatively easy-to-run games, so I'm looking to upgrade. I've set aside about $500 for this, which should get me some quality, but I'm not particularly tech-savvy so I don't know what to get. Any recommendations? Any upcoming sales or good deals I should know about?

2024.06.02 07:21 Killjoycmdrkj Sorry if this is the wrong spot for this. but.... (fair warning its a long one.)

So I served from 01-03 in the USN, and during that time I served on the west coast on the USS Belleau Wood. Long story short I enlisted with PTSD due to things that happened as a child and didnt find out until I was exiting the military. During the two years I was in I got in trouble 5 times for mostly small things, I was caught with two dwi's, 1 jumping a fence to avoid walking a mile on base, 1 for missing muster while mustering during the day and working nights while they where doing construction on the flight deck 1 deck up during the day. and 1 for Im honestly not sure so maybe it was 4? Our ship had the highest turnover rate on the west coast at the time. So I hired a lawyer recently because I am finally in a place I can afford to do something and am ready to move forward with my life. This all boils down to 2 questions. 1 First and foremost the lawyer I hired said based on this info there is a good chance I will get my Other than honorable switched to at least a General or Honorable. He wasnt very clear on about how often they meet to discuss these causes? And secondly If I do get my status changed I will get access to some VA benefits, But will that also include GI Bill access? Or has it been to long? 25 years in this case.
First sorry for the grammar, School wasnt a major focus when I was a child due to various life issues, and Secondly If this is the wrong spot to post this could Someone point me to where I should be posting? Also not looking for legal advice just a general idea so I can know if I should be preparing myself for the worst?
Thanks

2024.06.02 06:39 Serious-Rest-3409 Most lucrative Engineering path?

Hey, I am currently studying Electrical Engineering, and whilst I do enjoy what the subject entails and what I learn, ultimately i want to maximise my earnings, which it seems like Engineering isn’t really an optimal way to do so.
I was thinking of pathways that could help utilise my degree to become a higher earner, and i came up with some ways that may help, being:
I don’t have any preference towards any option over the other, i just want to maximise my earning potential.
I was wondering if anyone here had any experience going down any of these paths, and if they were willing to share how that worked out for them.
Thanks!

2024.06.02 06:38 DIGICOSLUT3 Best tour case for Yamaha DM3

I had a preorder in for a DM3-D since launch but 4 months ago decided to back out due to wanting to invest money on new wireless equipment. I have now been booked for 3 weddings out of state and just to keep things lowkey I wanted something that I could fit in my SUV trunk along with some K10s. The DM3 checked all the boxes not to mention I already have 2 Tios. I called Sweetwater the day they announced firmware 2.0 and channel insert support as that is a huge deal to me. At the time was told 6 months for the Dante version but 2 days ago they called me and said someone backed out and my sales engineer was able to reallocate it to me. Will be here Tuesday. So I’m looking for some good wood case recommendations. Something on the smaller side but a dog house would be a nice to have.

2024.06.02 06:37 Spare_Essay4147 Thinking of quitting my Delhi job but scared about consequences. Need advise.

Context : I (26 F) shifted to Delhi 5 months back with a new job from my hometown. I actively sought out opportunities in Delhi NCR because doing my MBA online, and then WFH for 2 years completely drained my learning, social life and job readiness. My friends, extended family and partner are all based out of Delhi so I took a job here. I thought I could be happy here but it feels like things have gone horribly South. Being from a small town, for me happiness means having a decent source of income with job stability and satisfaction. I want to have a job that pays my bills and a little extra for my savings and future financial goals, and I want to have time for myself to spend with my friends, family and personal interests.
A Little about me and my current job : I graduated with an MBA in marketing during covid and got a decent package and worked a marketing manager for 2 years in an Ed tech company. My current job role (education industry) , when I interviewed was supposed to be on the same line, however as soon as I joined, on the first day the role was changed and it has become a completely sales and target driven role. It is a role that involves entering a new market outside of India and I am the only one working in this role. I thought about it for a while and decided to continue because I thought that it will be new and challenging and I will get to learning curve and growth will be holistic. However, it has turned out to be exactly the opposite. There is zero guidance I receive from my boss and there is an intense pressure to meet the targets every month. If there is no guidance, then at least there should be an openness to experimenting and failing at an organisational level. I feel like there is neither currently and nor is it going to change. Last week I was randomly called to a meeting and put on PIP as my numbers were not met. My boss is rude, unsupportive and doesn't listen. I did not get a chance to even speak or make my case. My motivation to work in this role and this company has completely vanished and I don't even like the product that I am selling. Only my gaps are being pointed out but when over the last 5 months I have constantly gone to ask for help, I was told off saying that my boss doesn't have the time. At a self confidence level I am at an all time low, and so the money that is coming in at the end of the month, feels like it doesn't even matter. I have been working 12-15 hours a day including weekends and it feels like the work is never ending and I am getting nowhere. Oh and to top it all off, I recently found out that I am one of the lowest paid person in my team (comparing this only with folks who are my age, have the same kind of experience as I do and also don't even have an MBA). I am thinking of quitting this to find something more suited to my education, interest and skill set - but that takes time and there is a lot of uncertainty involved. There is also no guarantee that the next job will be worth it as well.
Advise I need : 1. Given that my fixed expenses are about 50k per month (including rent, bills, food and EMI payment for education ), and I have about 2 lacs in savings, should I quit and search for better full time opportunities? While I am going on the job hunt, I do want to spend some time doing a bit of soul searching - take part in NGO work (part time), doing part time coaching for school kids and work on my art projects? 2. Am I over-reacting on this whole thing? I need somebody to tell me the truth. Is corporate life just like this no matter which company I go to? I have also thought about the fact that my experience is worse because of the whole culture shock and completely different way of life. I sometimes cannot understand why Delhi folks, especially in the business world, say something but always mean something different. Where I come from, people say things how they are. Should I just gulp my aspirations down and go about it for some time till I get my confidence back and have a little bit of more financial backing? 3. What is the chance that after a bit of career break, I will be able to join the workforce again and start off with a decent pay hike?
I am wracking my brain over this for the last couple of months and now I have reached a tipping point. What do I do? Please advise.

2024.06.02 06:16 Thefearsomemonke Surfer wit no hope

Surfer wit no hope
idea is pretty simple, you set up your proactive options; Nova, Jeff, Brood, Ghost, and Mobius to get things set up, obviously unless you hit wave and sera together.
then, you just try to pop off with according tech cards and/or surfer
notably, this deck has no sebastian shaw or hope summers so it's nice for those surfer players without them in their collection
a final note, ghost is very integral to this deck and should not be subbed, she makes a lot of matchups significantly more consistent due to this deck frequently putting good stats on the board early and getting prio

🔗Royal 100Cx Portable Battery/AC Powered Cash Register - Black

https://preview.redd.it/xd1123gvy24d1.jpg?width=720&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=8d9ddc0b45216a595affd57d995688acd6bd1270
Once upon a time, I decided to set up a small business selling handmade crafts at local markets. I needed a cash register to keep track of sales and manage taxes, so I got my hands on the Royal 100Cx portable cash register. Boy, was I glad I did! This bad boy has helped me run my business smoothly and efficiently.
The first thing that struck me was the convenience of having both battery and AC power options. It's perfect for when I'm out and about selling my crafts or even back at home. The compact design is also a winner; it doesn't hog up much space on my market stall.
But, it's not all sunshine and rainbows with this cash register. The setup can be a little confusing at first, especially when trying to figure out which buttons do what. And you really need to use at least one department key for it to work properly - something that caught me off guard.
Despite these hiccups, I couldn't be happier with my Royal 100Cx cash register. It helps me keep tabs on my sales, computes taxes automatically, and even provides detailed department reporting. Plus, it's solidly built and has held up well through countless transactions. All in all, it's been a trusty companion in my small business journey.
However, there are some cons that I need to address. Some users have reported issues with missing parts and unhelpful customer service, which can be quite frustrating. Additionally, the manual has been described as difficult to navigate.
To sum up, the Royal 100Cx portable cash register might not be perfect, but it gets the job done. It's a reliable ally for small businesses or casual vendors who need a no-fuss solution for managing sales and taxes. Just be prepared to dive into the quirks and quirks of setting it up yourself.

🔗Royal 6000ML Black Cash Register with 6000 PLUs

https://preview.redd.it/8pbtopwvy24d1.jpg?width=720&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=4f697886b25aa3276b393bb3fbac753bedfc34e6

I recently got the chance to use the Royal 6000ML Cash Register, and I must say, it's quite the workhorse. This compact cash register is designed to streamline register operations, helping businesses run smoothly and accurately.
One feature that really stood out is its ability to handle up to 6,000 price look-ups (PLUs). I frequently found myself selling items that were part of our standard inventory, and this made entering those items quick and easy. Additionally, the registers 36 departments for sales analysis by category allowed me to track sales trends, giving me valuable insight into what's selling and what's not.
On the downside, though, the instructions could be better. While the programming itself is not too complicated once you get the hang of it, the manual could be more intuitive. Also, the 10-slot cash drawer felt a bit too large for a small business.
Overall, the Royal 6000ML Cash Register is a decent piece of equipment, but it may not be the best choice for everyone. If your business requires a lot of SKUs and you need a quick and easy way to input data, this could be a good fit. However, if you're looking for something with a more intuitive user interface, you might want to look elsewhere.

🔗Classic Retro Cash Register Toy

I recently got my hands on the New Classic Toys 10650 Cash Register and let me tell you, it's been a hit in my household! My little one loves playing shop and this colorful cash register has been a key ingredient in her imaginative play.
The first thing that caught my eye was its vibrant design - it's not your usual boring plastic toy. The cash register comes with some fun extras like a scanner, credit card, portable ATM, eight coins, and some paper money which have kept my child engaged for hours.
One of the standout features for me was how it encourages creativity and hand-eye coordination skills. Seeing her role play with this toy has truly been a joy. Plus, it's suitable for kids aged 3 and up, making it perfect for many years of play.
However, one small downside is the size of the product. It's not very big, especially if you have multiple kids playing together or if you want to store other toys along with it. Despite this minor inconvenience, the overall quality and fun factor of the New Classic Toys 10650 Cash Register more than make up for it.
In conclusion, if you're looking for a toy that not only entertains but also helps develop cognitive skills in young children, then the New Classic Toys 10650 Cash Register is definitely worth considering.

🔗Royal MB30 Heavy-duty Metal Cash Drawer with USB Connection

https://preview.redd.it/7z9tsvlwy24d1.jpg?width=720&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=df232b60fe09669cfd07bb7c6de1b32df6054227
As a cashier at a bustling retail store, I've had the pleasure of using the Royal MB30 Cash Drawer with USB. Its heavy-duty metal construction immediately caught my eye, providing me with the peace of mind that comes with knowing my cash is safely tucked away. The spring-loaded easy glide drawer slid open smoothly every time, making it a breeze to retrieve change for customers.
One feature that really stood out to me was the drawer lock with two keys. Not only does it keep my hard-earned cash secure, but it also gives me an extra layer of control over the drawer. Plus, there's an emergency release tab on the front, offering me an easy way to open the drawer if needed.
However, there was one small issue I encountered with this cash drawer. The removable coin slot was a bit too loose for my liking. While it was easy to adjust the size of the slots for different coins, they didn't always stay perfectly in place. This wasn't a deal-breaker for me, though, as the benefits of this cash drawer far outweighed this minor inconvenience.
Overall, I've thoroughly enjoyed using the Royal MB30 Cash Drawer with USB in my daily work routine. Its robust construction, easy-to-use features, and compatibility with various POS systems have made it a reliable asset in my cash handling tasks. I'd highly recommend this cash drawer to anyone in need of a secure, efficient solution for their retail or restaurant business.

🔗Royal Alpha 7000ml Cash Register

https://preview.redd.it/pnhvy63xy24d1.jpg?width=720&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=cc6e2b59f1c03688f80949db72a10035bf25174b
As a small business owner, I've been using the Royal Alpha 7000ml Cash Register for several weeks now, and it's been quite the rollercoaster ride. The dual thermal printers are incredibly fast and quiet, making the transaction process smoother and less chaotic. Plus, the running journal alongside the receipt printer has been an unexpected lifesaver in keeping track of sales.
The large 10-line LCD display and alphanumeric keyboard are a breeze to navigate, making it a snap to program and customize the register to fit my specific needs. However, the SD card slot for data transfers was a game-changer for efficient accounting.
On the downside, the instruction manual for programming was quite lacking in detail, leaving me to figure out a lot on my own. They should have made instructions more clear and comprehensive, especially for first-time users. Also, the "no sale" button was non-functional, which was quite frustrating.
However, overall, the Royal Alpha 7000ml Cash Register has proven to be sufficient for my small cafeteria-style restaurant. The balance of features and minor inconveniences make it a good choice, but the learning curve can be steep for first-time users.

  2. Consider purchasing a used or refurbished cash register if you're on a tight budget, but make sure it includes necessary features and is in good working condition.
  3. Opt for a cash register with a warranty, guarantee, or return policy to safeguard against unexpected malfunctions or defects.

The Ultimate Guide to Buying Residential Land for Sale in Arkansas
The Ultimate Guide to Buying Residential Land for Sale in Arkansas
The Complete Handbook for Purchasing Residential Property in Arkansas
Are you interested in acquiring a parcel of residential property in Arkansas? Whether you want to construct your ideal home, invest in real estate, or simply acquire a small piece of land for recreational purposes, purchasing property in Arkansas can be a fulfilling and possibly profitable venture. However, it’s crucial to approach the process with caution and attention to detail to ensure that you make a sound investment and find the perfect property for your requirements. In this handbook, we will delve into the intricacies of purchasing residential property in Arkansas, from the initial research phase to the ultimate acquisition and beyond. By the conclusion of this article, you will be well-prepared to maneuver the Arkansas property market with confidence and success.
Comprehending the Arkansas Property Market
Before you initiate an active quest for property in Arkansas, it’s imperative to have a strong grasp of the state's property market. Arkansas is recognized for its diverse terrains, extending from the undulating hills of the Ozark Mountains to the fertile farmlands of the Mississippi River Delta. This denotes the availability of a wide array of residential property options, each possessing its distinctive allure and potential uses.
The cost of property in Arkansas can fluctuate extensively based on factors such as location, size, and others. As per the United States Department of Agriculture (USDA) data, the average price of rural property in Arkansas was $3,150 per acre in 2020. However, this figure can vary significantly based on the specific area, with rural property in the state ranging from as low as $1,500 per acre to as high as $5,000 per acre or more.
Apart from the property's cost, it’s essential to consider other expenses such as property taxes, utilities, and any required site preparation or development. Having a clear understanding of all associated costs prior to commencing your search will aid in establishing a realistic budget and averting any unforeseen financial surprises in the future.
Selecting the Ideal Location
Once you have a fundamental understanding of the Arkansas property market, the subsequent step is to streamline your search to a specific location within the state. Arkansas is segregated into several regions, each possessing its individual climate, terrain, and amenities. Some of the prime regions for residential property in Arkansas are the Ozark Mountains, the Arkansas River Valley, and the Delta region. Each of these areas offers its own distinct benefits and potential drawbacks, signifying the importance of carefully contemplating your priorities and preferences when selecting a location for your property purchase.
One of the initial considerations when choosing a location for your residential property is the local climate and natural surroundings. Do you prefer the cool, mountainous terrain of the Ozarks or the flat, fertile land of the Delta? Are you seeking a wooded plot with abundant privacy or an open field with picturesque views? It’s also crucial to assess the property's proximity to amenities such as schools, shopping, and healthcare facilities, as well as the accessibility of utilities and infrastructure.
Another significant aspect to ponder is the local regulatory framework. Different areas of Arkansas may have distinct zoning regulations, building codes, and environmental considerations that can influence your ability to utilize the property for your intended purposes. For instance, if you plan to construct a new home or develop the property in some manner, you'll need to familiarize yourself with the local building codes and permitting process to ensure the feasibility and compliance of your plans with the local regulations.
Investigating Potential Property Listings
Once you have identified a general location for your property purchase, it’s time to actively search for potential listings. Various resources are available to assist you in finding residential property for sale in Arkansas, including real estate websites, local listings, and property brokers. You may also contemplate engaging a real estate agent specializing in property sales, as they can offer valuable expertise and guidance throughout the search and acquisition process.
When evaluating potential property listings, several essential factors should be considered to ascertain whether a specific property aligns with your requirements. These factors encompass the size and configuration of the property, its topography and natural features, any existing infrastructure or utilities, and its proximity to amenities and services. You will also need to account for any potential restrictions or limitations applicable to the property, such as easements, covenants, or environmental regulations.
Conducting a thorough investigation of the property's history and potential risks is also crucial. For instance, researching the property's ownership and title history, as well as potential issues such as liens or encumbrances, is important. Additionally, evaluating the property's environmental history, comprising potential concerns related to soil contamination, flooding, or other natural hazards, is vital. This data can aid in making an informed decision regarding whether a specific property is a prudent investment for your needs.
Conducting due diligence is an integral part of the property acquisition process, as it can help in averting potential issues and ensuring that you are making a sound investment. Apart from conducting personal research, collaborating with professionals such as real estate attorneys, surveyors, and environmental experts is advisable to gain a comprehensive understanding of the property and any potential risks or concerns.
Securing Financing for Your Property Purchase
Once you have identified a residential property that meets your criteria and has cleared the due diligence process, the subsequent step is considering how to finance the purchase. Several options are available for financing a property purchase in Arkansas, each with its own advantages and disadvantages. The most suitable financing option for you will hinge on your individual financial situation, the specifics of the property purchase, and your long-term plans for the property.
One of the prevalent means of financing a property purchase is through a traditional mortgage loan. However, it's important to acknowledge that securing a mortgage for undeveloped land can be more demanding than securing a mortgage for a conventional home purchase. This is attributable to the fact that land is deemed to be a higher-risk investment for lenders, as it typically doesn't yield income or provide collateral in a manner similar to a home or commercial property. Consequently, you may need to possess a robust credit history, a substantial down payment, and a clear plan for utilizing the property to qualify for a land mortgage.
Another option for financing a property purchase is through a land contract, also known as a contract for deed or owner financing. With a land contract arrangement, the seller of the property functions as the lender, offering financing to the buyer in exchange for regular payments over a predetermined period. Land contracts can serve as a flexible and accessible option for buyers who may not qualify for traditional mortgage financing, as they typically entail less stringent credit and income requirements. However, it's essential to note that land contracts also carry their own risks and considerations, necessitating a clear understanding of the terms and conditions before entering into such an agreement.
If you have the means to do so, another option for financing a property purchase is to complete the transaction in cash. This approach can providemultiple advantages, such as increased flexibility, a more straightforward buying process, and the capacity to avoid interest charges and long-term financing expenses. Nevertheless, it's crucial to meticulously assess the potential financial impacts of paying for land in cash, as this method can lock up a substantial portion of your liquid assets and restrict your capability to leverage them for other investments or financial requirements.
Navigating the Purchase Process
Once you have selected a parcel of land, completed extensive research, and obtained funding for the purchase, the subsequent step is to navigate the actual buying process. This usually involves presenting an offer to the seller, bargaining the sale terms, and concluding the transaction via a formal purchase agreement.
When making an offer for a piece of residential land, it's essential to carefully contemplate the specifics of the offer to demonstrate your commitment as a buyer and safeguard your interests as much as possible. This may involve elements such as the buying price, any conditions or contingencies for the sale, and the proposed timetable for completing the transaction. It's often advisable to collaborate with a real estate attorney or another expert to ensure that your offer is legally sound and aligns with your best interests.
Negotiating the sale terms can be a sensitive and intricate process, as the seller might have their own priorities and preferences that must be taken into consideration. By maintaining transparent communication and negotiating with the seller in good faith, it is often possible to attain a mutually advantageous agreement that satisfies both parties and establishes the groundwork for a successful land acquisition. Once the sale terms have been mutually approved, it's essential to finalize the transaction through a formal purchase agreement, outlining the specifics of the sale and granting legal protection for both the buyer and the seller.
Completing the Purchase and Beyond
After the purchase agreement has been concluded, the subsequent phase involves formalizing the finalization of the land purchase. This typically entails conducting a thorough title search to validate the property's ownership and legal status, as well as coordinating any requisite legal and financial procedures to transfer the land from the seller to the buyer. Depending on the details of the sale and the local regulations in place, this process may entail engaging a title company, real estate attorney, or other professionals who can provide expertise and guidance throughout the closing process.
Following the purchase and assuming ownership of the land, you will need to contemplate the subsequent steps for using and developing the property. For instance, if you plan to construct a residence on the land, you will need to consider the process of obtaining necessary permits, securing construction financing, and outlining the specifics of the building process. Conversely, if you are buying the land for recreational purposes or as an investment, you will need to deliberate on how to oversee and maintain the property to guarantee its long-term value and utility.
In any case, it's vital to stay informed about the ongoing financial, legal, and practical responsibilities associated with owning residential land in Arkansas. This may encompass elements such as property taxes, land management, and any potential modifications in local regulations or market conditions that could influence the value and utilization of the land. By remaining proactive and well-informed about these aspects, you can maximize the potential benefits of owning residential land in Arkansas and ensure that your investment remains solid and advantageous for years to come.
In conclusion, the acquisition of residential land in Arkansas is a multifaceted and intricate process that demands thorough research, strategic planning, and meticulous execution. By grasping the specifics of the Arkansas land market, selecting the right location, investigating potential land listings, securing financing, navigating the purchase process, and staying abreast of ongoing responsibilities, you can guarantee that your land purchase evolves into a successful and gratifying endeavor. As with any real estate transaction, it is important to approach the process diligently and attentively to make a prudent investment and locate the perfect piece of land to suit your requirements. With the appropriate approach and resources at your disposal, you can confidently and successfully navigate the Arkansas land market and obtain a valuable piece of residential land that satisfies your needs and surpasses your expectations.

2024.06.02 05:23 FitDuck4372 Best cities for BDR/SDR roles?

Hi, I'm currently 25 and I'm looking to move out of my rural hometown and into the tech sales landscape. My background is currently in Advertising Sales with a start up media company. and Inside Sales for a college recruiting company (1 year).
I have been applying to positions on Linkedin and had initial phone interviews for remote positions, but I want to be somewhere in a city where I have the chance to work fully in office or hybrid as those environments are better suited for the way I work. I have some money saved to where I can move just about anywhere and get by for a couple of months. Looking for anyone who may be hiring or know of an Saas company hiring.
I'm from the Southeast US and looking to relocate wherever, just not in the SE. I am very active and love to be social at the gym, sports events, or while having an occasional drink. Sports are also very important in picking somewhere to live as I am a former athlete. I have a high interest in health tech, Edtech or fintech from the research I've done, but willing to hear and learn more about this industry from people of this sub!
Thanks for any advice and input, I look forward to reading and replying to comments!

2024.06.02 05:12 No-Landscape1438 Good buy? C8 guidance

Good buy? C8 guidance
I was thinking of buying a 2024 2LT convertible, but then I saw this 2020 model. This one has all the extra features and it’s shy of 30k miles. Is this a good price? Good mileage? Any major concerns with the 2020 model that the 2024 one fixed? Never owned a corvette and I’m used to buying used Toyotas having high miles and lasting, not sure if that’s the same with a corvette.
I could keep waiting until next year and get a used 2024 2LT convertible model. I’m not sure if the 2020 models are still good either. I’m not even sure what features the 2024 model has that the 2020s don’t.
Either way I’m not getting a corvette until next year, but I’m not sure if it’s worth saving the older models on the search or if I should just stick with the 2024 models. (I get sales tax exemption for car purchases due to military status whoo hoo) so if that sways your opinion on getting an older one decked out or a basic 2024 model please let me know. :) thanks 🙏🏽

2024.06.02 04:44 TheyAreRecords Is $42k a decent price for a pretty loaded XLE Premium? TrueCar originally said $39k

Hey I'm buying my first new car, and excited to finally get a Rav4. I found what I thought was a deal too good to be true on an new (gas) 2024 XLE Premium with basically all the upgrades on TrueCar for $39k. When I get to the dealership they say that the TrueCar quote was a mistake (left over from the Memorial Day sale).

Then on the dealer's website:
And when I ask for out the door price, they say its the sticker $42,874 + $999 processing + $1722 tax for a total of $45,595. But since TrueCar gave me such a different quote, and after the whole salesman/manager game, I get down to out the door for $41,700 and put a (refundable) deposit down since it won't arrive for two weeks.
I don't really care about the TrueCar fiasco and I really like the car, so as long as it's decent deal for what I'm getting, and seems like it is, then I'm okay. Just want to make sure they aren't totally ripping me off, which doesn't seem like the case based on other dealerships I've been to. The $3k "Dealer Adjustment" seems like b.s. so I'm glad they were willing to eat that, and more, off their original quote. What do you all think?

tl;dr for a high cost of living area, is $42k crazy for a loaded 2024 Rav4 XLE Premium? If so, what did you get yours for? Thanks

2024.06.02 04:38 KleeLovesGanyu I'm confused. How is Ark making a sequel when dinosaurs still fall through the floor?

Is this even something Unreal Engine 5 fixes? I got Ark on a Steam sale for $9.99 because it was cheap, and had no idea if I would like it, particularly because Ascended has terrible reviews. But actually it's really fun so I'm glad I bought it.
But it has basic flaws like my dinos fall through the floor, then I have to demolish the floor and let them escape, then reconstruct it at a loss of resources, because the engine is basically broken. Or after playing for a while I can't fit through doors, because the engine thinks I'm like 1m taller than I am. Restarting the game fixes this. Also, destroying and reinstalling the door lets me fix it. But it should never be a problem in the first place. Sometimes, when that happens, I also get stuck on a border between 2 tile types (say, Wood and Thatch). Again, restarting resolves that. But I don't like to restart every 50 minutes as the only solution to bugs that just crop up and increase as you play.
The question is, does any of this stuff get fixed in ASA? Everything I've heard about it indicates that it introduces even more bugs, and reduces framerates while also reducing playable maps; it sounds like it's bad any way you look at it. I play SP so I don't really care about reports I've heard of clans holding servers hostage, or whatever. It's bad game design, but does not affect me. I just want to know if ASA will be a better or worse experience SP. I have a sufficiently powerful computer.
If dinosaurs still fall through the floor, I won't buy it. If they do, I have to ask why... I mean... in 2015, I don't care if Dinos fall through the floor for an early access game. In 2024, I have to wonder, is there a single person in your entire company who has basic programming skills?
Don't get me wrong - I think many things about Ark, like the dino animations, are amazing. I just don't get how you can successfully do all the hard things while completely failing at things that are absolutely trivial, like testing a z-level. Maybe nobody at Wildcard ever tried to put a small dinosaur on a constructed floor, after 9 years? Or maybe they just don't care? Both are very unlikely.

2024.06.02 04:24 Ashwood19 Deck vs Ally vs Legion

I've been a handheld enthusiast for a while and got my start modding my 3DS and eventually picked up the RP3+ for fun. I decided I wanted to move away from a primarily android device and start exploring the higher cost options: Deck, Ally, or Legion?
Taking money out of the factor because it's going to be an investment either way, I'm deciding what may be a best fit for me. I'd like to get a handheld that can emulate older titles: SNES, N64, GBA, GC, PS2, so on, but then still be capable of advancing into PC titles on platforms like Steam, Epic, etc.
I know everyone says it comes down to preference, how willing you are to troubleshoot, etc. I'm fairly tech savvy for the most part, I can handle trial and error on the software side.
My concerns come down to hardware. Ergonomics, battery, processing power, etc.
I'm aware Steam Deck locks you into SteamOS with EmuDeck potential, and possible dual boot into Windows, but is heavily restricted by what Steam deems playable on the Deck. The Ally previously had the SD card heat issue, and from what I've heard still does, but natively runs Win11. I haven't heard much of the Legion but it seems a little large. I'm open to thoughts on this device.
I know this question has been asked a hundred times on this subreddit. I'm at the point I'm willing to give up my Xbox and PS4 because I just love handheld gaming that much and I don't sit in front of a TV like I used to, mostly because of a short attention span.
I'd appreciate any advice.

2024.06.02 03:37 xtbs Deck paint removal

Deck paint removal
Hey everyone, my wife and I are looking to stain our deck but the previous owner of the house was kind enough to paint the deck with a stupid tough paint. I was able to get the top surface stripped off but in between boards it's rounded and my sander can't get into it. I'm looking for some ideas as to how to get this removed. I know the best way is to remove the boards but the screws were driven home and the wood swelled over, it took almost 6 hours to remove a handful of boards.
Attached pic is to show what were dealing with.

2024.06.02 03:36 unhumancondition saturday nights scrolling LinkedIn and Indeed....

It's getting desperate man. When you check for jobs posted it narrows the pool to like 10 jobs and 8 of them require advanced healthcare degrees and 1 of them is 1099 sales and the other is for HVAC tech... Is anybody else seeing this?!

2024.06.02 03:33 FitDuck4372 What cities are best for SDR/BDR SaaS positions?
