Hi all, I’m looking for a doula for the first time and it’s been overwhelming because it is so hard to evaluate based on online reviews, etc. So I’ve been looking at a ton of these websites and Ive noticed a couple of times doulas say they will not attend births at specific hospitals (I live in a major city with many hospitals in the area); notably I’ve never seen two doula sites that mention the same hospital, and it does not ever seem to be for geographic/service boundary reasons.
I asked for a consultation with a doula and filled out my info, including where I planned to deliver, and she told me she doesn’t do deliveries at that hospital but would do so at a different hospital near by (same hospital system). So I asked why she doesn’t work there, and here’s what she said: “I have found that patient autonomy is too frequently disrespected, evidenced based practices are often not offered or followed and on some occasions- disrespect or hostility towards doulas has occurred, despite the evidence that doulas are an important part of the team, help reduce cesareans and increase patient satisfaction.”
Is this … typical? Legit? Doulas feels like a Wild West to me and I can’t help but worry that she’s like … not allowed at that hospital or something.

Hi everyone. I won’t say how I know this person because of privacy & I know this person would get annoyed or bothered by this post. Ok well this person is an operator. I’m extremely proud of her for what he has accomplished for himself. She was raised wonderfully with loving parents. Her family wasn’t rich and would often struggle. She’s the reason why I chose that as my first job. I worked along side her for about two and a half years. I eventually decided to mess my own life up, but while she saw her family struggling she decided to make it her career. She knew she didn’t want to struggle or be poor for her future. After leaving her first operator’s store(The owner was envious of her) to work at another Chik-Fil-A under a different operator. This person saw that She had what it takes. Fast forward to two years She now graduated university and even applied to corporate and successfully got his position. I don’t remember the exact time frame but let’s just two years? This person was traveling from city to city all over America helping new operators open up their first store. Unfortunately had to live away from her family and could rarely see them only on special occasions since the parents didn’t have enough money to be flying all over. Fast forward, he finally achieved his dream in becoming an operator. I’m leaving so much out but the cfa world is small in the way that operators know of each other. She’s an intelligent person. Well versatile. She’s one of my heroes and an inspiration. I had no clue how much money is involved, and it completely blew my ears off my head when I found out. If you plan on becoming a millionaire within years I highly recommend giving chikfila a go. If you’re a stand out person trust and believe me that you will go far. If you’re lazy don’t even bother though. Only hard workers and over achievers will make it to the top. Now She’s able to buy her family a home. Relocate if necessary. For all of you working in this field I would tighten up my belt if I were you. You’re in for a long run but it’ll be fun and worth it when you get to the end. I’ve seen dreams come true with my own eyes. I strive to do better with my life now a days. Thank you for reading

I (28M) have been married to my wife (27F) for just over a year. We recently moved to a new location for my work. We have been having problems for about six months, constant miscommuncations, she doesnt feel supported by me or that I am capable of empathising with her. I work full time, she does work occassionally but its very sporadic and only on her own terms. We base our finances off my income, she stays home with the pets.
We are currently in counselling for our communication issues, im at a point where I cant even tell if I think I am the bad guy or not. When ever we have an arguement its usually very one sided, with me taking most of the blame. I dont feel like im respected or appreciated, I work full time and I still do a large percentage of the cooking, cleaning, house upkeep. I can cook a meal and the first response will still be a critique of the meal rather than a thank you. Everything feels like an opportunity for me to fail or be criticized. We havent been physically intimate in years. Everyday around 3pm I start feeling nauseous and stressed, just because I dont know if im going to come home to everything being ok, or if there is going to be some fault or chore I didnt address thats going to lead to some comment about me not doing things correctly. I honestly dont know what to do with this anymore, or if I even want to try.
Tl:DR: I feel anxious just coming home after work, how can I fix this or make the decision that it isnt healthy?

First time played kenshi and feel like sharing its story.
Decided to play mainly solo character RPG style. When I learned about fractions i was scared to make any of them enemy. As they are all very cool. Then I discovered holy nation and wow fuck these guys.
I started my endless solo cruciate aganist them with satisfying progress during it. (being on level of holy sentinel up to being stronger than inquisitor ahhh so good). First goal was military base next to Stack. It was going good and then they hurt my leg badly, couldnt run away and took me prisoner and steal my eq.
Easy peasy prison break time. My eq was in box next to my cell(idiots!) but without weapon. Resteal it but couldnt make it fist fighting, back to cell. Break again but they moved my eq(Smart!) and i had no idea where it was. I tried steal eq from sleeping soldiers but my stealing level was to low(and didnt know then how to cheese it) and i get only free toughness training.
Next day i was mining stones as obidient slave should. Outside the base. This is my chance, i tried to run away but learned the hard way shackles movement penalty. Guy throw me to the ground but he was crazy, for some reason he didnt stop beating me while yelling "work harder! , arbait macht frei! " or something. I lost my arm and was barelly alive. Lost my hope for escaping.
Solo escaping that is. Took one of my "characters" that is cooper miners and decided to make it ultimate assasin, thief, lord of the night. After extensive training went to base during night for rescue mission. And it was going great. Stealth killing is op. But I failed at some point and landed in cell next to my hero. That night there was a lot of other prisoners. We opened them all as much at the same time as possible and run away when soldiers were dealing with them. That is my hero run away, assasin sacrificed himself and will be forever remembered for this.
Getting myself robo arm and went on exploring and training. When I come back i relatively easly destroyed Stack with Seta. I was feeling confident with blister hill but oh boy I was wrong. Infinite army respawning(?) faster than i was killing them. After hours city was full of crawling people and it seriously became depressing. Like im on the real war but im the bad guy. I have seen holy phoenix, even managed to lure him to 1v1 but he beat my ass without taking any damage.
Went exploring again, got meitou weapon from fishman boss and discovered crossbows. Gave the crossbow to random copper miner nad he was kicking ass from the start. Now with team of 2 blister hill got obliterated and received princess as reward. I havent seen half of map but called it a day with this run.
I started few other short Self restricted runs and boy, this game have much potential for roleplaying. So much is happening between fractions, especially on United cities territory. Its a mess there. You really have read it all? Thanks.

Will be handing over my resignation letter tomorrow and I am unsure of what to put as my last day because I wala akong contract na pwede pagbasehan whether it's 30 or 90 day render notice ba - I did not sign any contract and was not even given one to begin with. Ang binigay lang during recruitment was a JO excel file containing compensation.
Should I just indicate and/ or follow the 30 days notice minimum requirement? It's my first job and still in probationary period, if there's anything elese important na malaman ko about resigning, please let me know! Thanks!

Hi all,
I’ve been in the US for 2 weeks on a K1 visa and me and my fiancée are about to get married.
Thing is, we have spent the first 2 weeks at her parents and that’s the address the USCIS has for me, we will be moving soon as my fiancée was able to get an apartment within the same state (20mins away from our current address).
How can I inform the USCIS of this? We haven’t married yet, do I inform prior to get married and adjust the status? Do I do it after?
I wanna do everything correctly without any issues, thanks!

Since the past 3 months i have noticed some weirdness happening when i was playing Overwatch 2, my aim randomly stops responding for a brief second and suddenly all movements that i did when it freezed are put into the game, causing the aim go crazy and i cant control anymore, also, when this happen, the RGB keeps stuck in one color.
Until last week this problem was very rare, and most of the time only occurs for 1 time per day at maximum, some days doesn't happen at all, but from last week to today it became much more commom, happening many times in just one match, becoming unplayable, at first, i think maybe was my graphics driver, since i updated the driver last week, i tried to reverse the driver, unnistall the current driver with DDU, install the previous one, but the problem persists, then, i tried change some game configurations, disable Radeon Anti Lag, cap my FPS to 144, turn off HDR, change game quality to low, nothing seems to fix the issue, then i tried change the mouse USB port to a chipset powered USB, nothing, still lags, then i was fed up, i was convinced that the problem is my Windows instalation, since i use my PC to work too (i have a lot of programming softwares, VMs, a lot of software) i think: "maybe is just my Windows doing weird things due to excess of installed crap".
Then i decided to format my SSD and do a clean Windows install, and after everything installed and configured, for my surprise, the lag is back, but worse this time, it lags every 10 seconds, is completely unplayable, and after almost give up and disassemble the entire PC to diagnose every component separately, i thinked: "everything on the game keep running fine when it lags, sound, allies, enemies, the network status stays normal, so it must be something related to mouse, maybe some firmware problem", then i started digging into G Hub and the i decided to apply my profile to the mouse internal memory and turn off G hub control over the mouse, and then, EVERYTHING WORKED PERFECTLY, no more lags, the mouse works fine for almost 2 hours without any issue, even the RGB stays perfectly fine.
So, the problem is, in fact, the DAMN G HUB, and thinking about it, it makes sense, since Microsoft announced the Dinamic Lightning Control in Windows and Logitech released the update to G HUB to support it, my peripherals starting acting weird sometimes. So, i hope this post can reach to someone at Logitech software team, so they can work in a permanent fix for this problem.
Also, if you having similar problems with your Logitech mouse, try copy your user profile to the internal memory and disable G Hub control over your peripherals. Maybe this will fix the problem for you too.
I love my G502 Hero, and have this problem with G Hub is a bummer, but since i discovered a temporary fix, i'll keeping using him until he dies and i'll be forced to buy a G502X, LOL.

My boyfriend of 2 years has always been super clingy and always wanted to text or talk and hang out all day. I was happy I loved the attention and the energy and it's refreshing for a man to show he cares and wants to spend his time with me. A few months ago he started a new job and working on getting his GED for the first time in years. I am so proud of him for going back and he's been happy. Then he started joining a ton of extracurricular activities. They're offered at his school for free, which is great. But he's taking SO MANY. It's like 4-6 self help classes. Which again.. I applaud him for working on himself.
The thing is when all this began a few months ago he started letting all the attention and energy he gave me slide. Now I understand he's busy but there's little things that are red flags for me. His timing doesn't add up. Like today he got off work and had a free day so he said he slept all day. We FaceTimed for 15 minutes and then we hung up to get ready for bed. Then he texts saying he’s tired and falling asleep… After he slept all day. Which usually we will stay up and text for a bit. I feel like he will text or talk a little bit just to appease me and then when he’s done he just stops answering me and lies and says he’s asleep. We have phone sex less often. (Maybe once a week now) before it was several. He doesn't have patience with me. He's even called me names if we argued and he has never done this before. He has started to hang up on me. Pretty much his demeanor toward me has changed. I don't know if this is his selfish time in life and he just needs this for him and I should sit back and let him enjoy it or if he's doing something wrong.
Today when we FaceTimed before bed (I'm traveling for work) and he closed his eyes when he told me he loved me. I know these things may all seem so minor but I truly do not know. I've been cheated on and it never felt this way. This feels different. Am i overreacting or is something going on?

So I started working for this company at the beginning of March and got told today that management doesn't think I'll be a good fit in the company. This is my first job that was suppose utilized my degree and I had no prior internships. I worried now that it will look bad even though I wasnt laid off due to performance and that I'll be looking for a new job for months now(I graduated may 2023 and took almost a year to get a interview).
The reason I was let go was because the company basically changed my positions duties and also went from 10% travel to 75% travel and didn't inform me of this untill I was let go after taking the option of going home after spending 2 weeks doing work that wasn't under my suppose duties on the other side of the country.
Also side note, I was completely lied too about my duties since the beginning cause nothing I talked about during the interview I worked on and also I was being gaslit on the phone call where I was being notified of being let go where I didn't stress my fear of heights enough to my manager even though I did and apparently he tried to multiples times to gauge my fear which is a complete lie.

My twin brother and I come from a broken home and relied heavily on one another during our formative years for support and acceptance. We bonded over our mother's abuse and developed our coping mechanisms to survive. We left home for university and never looked back.
We lived together post graduation for five years before I opted to move out since his girlfriend was eager to move in with us. Unfortunately, I lost my tech job / security blanket last year and had to move in with them since I used most of my savings to pay off my student loans.
While I'm more than grateful that they're allowing me to stay with them, I'm very uncomfortable with their overt display of affection. Don't get me wrong, I'm not prudish by any stretch of the imagination but when they're constantly humping and taking liberties with each other in shared spaces, it's bound to get to you. I've lost count of the times I've heard and seen them indulge one another. It's getting to a point where I keep my noice cancelling phones on all the time.
I'm afraid to speak up because I don't want to break his girlfriend's heart nor do I want to come across as selfish and ungrateful. They've gone above and beyond to accommodate me but there are certain things I can't unsee and will carry with me for the rest of my life.

In June, it will be 15 years since the first 16 and Pregnant episode aired. I never thought 15 years later, we’d still be getting new content. I’ve kinda felt like they would end it eventually, but in about three years the kids are going to start to turn 18 and I think MTV is going to run with it. My ideas on what they may do:
I think for sure they will reach out to Carly and offer her money. Some sort of special at the very least.
A show with the kids similar to how they do Teen Mom Reunion, all the kids together.
I really hope all the kids wait until they are older to have kids, but if anyone doesn’t, they will follow that for sure.
They could just follow the kids, without the parents. Leaving home. Going to collage. Joining the work force.
At this point, with the kids almost being 18, I think they will get everything they can out of the franchise.
Now that my serious predictions are outta the way, here is what I would want to see, if they keep this going.
The Challange: Parents vs Kids.
Having the parents and kids sit down and watch the show together and we get to see their reactions.
The Real World. We could get a few seasons outta this one. Throw all the mom’s, dad’s, grandparent’s and adult kid’s names in a hat. Draw ten, season one. Draw ten more, season two. They could do just the parents. Just the grandparents. Just the kids. Mix ‘em all up. The possibilities are endless.
The last one is my favorite. Imagine Debs OG, Papa Randy, Butch and Barbara in a house together 😂😂

I have a 2017 Honda hr-v since March 2024. I only have a drive train warranty. Sometimes when I go into first it won’t let me. The clutch is all the way down, I have to put it in second then first then it will engage. On my way home today it would not engage at all, like something is blocking it. I reved it up and took off in second to get it going. About two weeks ago I had the transmission fluid changed. Could this be a pressure plate issue? Do I need to replace the pad, clutch and pressure plate to be safe? Or is this a transmission issue? I bought it from a used car dealership with just over 100k miles, I have put about 3k on it. The Honda dealership said my clutch was fine but every time I have brought it in they don’t have issues with changing gears. It happens when it is hot and when I am leaving in the morning.

I just wrote my first article as a music critic, I guess. I would absolutely love any tips or advice you guys have as readers or writers.

“Secrets, Heartbeat” Atavista by Childish Gambino : an Album Review

Atavista released on May 13, 2024, a yearned-for date for fans of Childish Gambino’s former records like his most recent efforts Kauai (2014) and “Awaken, My Love!” (2016). It’s no secret that Donald Glover has carved into and entrenched himself in the inventive R&B and Hip-hop scene of the last 20-plus years, an extension of his creative and successful efforts as an actor. The following he’s amassed have waited a long seven years for the release of any project, unsure for much of that time if he even would.
Childish Gambino’s musical projects have improved with each release since 2011’s Camp. In those earlier years, his messages were met with overwhelmingly corny delivery and style, but his endeavors remained steady and he eventually found more profound and artistic ways to speak to his audience and the world. Gambino’s music includes but is not limited to addressing and critiquing American society and pop culture (see his smash hit “This is America”), while also pondering what life means and who he really is behind the fame.
The anticipation for this record was high for many having found enjoyment in his discography, including, most recently, the psychedelic, groovy, passionate, and emotional “Awaken, My Love!”.
The album art to represent this record seems to differ completely from all his previous. The jarringly blank white background with “ATAVISTA” pasted across the center to me indicated a significant change in his approach these many years later, but his style changes so drastically with each release that it was up in the air.
The introduction and title track “Atavista” fed us a short reflection on the word and it’s context — it meaning some sort of return to something ancestral or left behind, but this track didn’t reveal too much about how the rest would unfold.
By the third song “Time” with Ariana Grande, it was clear that Childish Gambino was taking another more pop-based approach to his regular variation on R&B — dappled with messages about his unique journey with self-love (see “To Be Hunted”) and the faults within social media(in “Algorhythm” and more).
A suprising first feature on the record, Ariana steps up to the plate. Her verse ends about as quickly as it begins, leaving something to be desired of her talent. The experience thus far felt lacking, but it was hard to put a finger on it.
What gave the album some kick after a slightly underwhelming beginning were two stand-out catchy and trademarked Gambino groove tracks: “Sweet Thang” with Summer Walker and “Little Foot Big Foot” with Young Nudy. The former is a sugary, southern, and soulful track that speaks on the ups and downs of relationships, neutrally expressing negative traits about his lover, but that they are a “sweet thang” regardless. “Little Foot Big Foot” showboats an earworm flow paired with a masterfully-utilized Nudy verse — a testament purely by his presence to the track’s message about the connection between absent fathers and drug dealing.
The album’s progression then begins to experience a falling action. Ther final few songs contributed little to the more passionate essence of what Gambino laid out just before. The production and overall sound of the the record (and especially the second half) was bland, monotonous, and drawn out — not something expected to hear after expecting the building momentum to continue. The wait was overall not worth the results of Childish Gambino’s efforts this time around, only creating a greater hole to fill for fans of his who feel the same.

So my boy, adventurous as he may be, is a bit of a clutz and a jumpy lil fellow. Just now I found him walking tight rope along the bannister at the top of our stairs to our second floor at points that, should he slip the wrong direction, he will fall down an entire floor, something like 10+ feet. The bannister is a polished wood and I am almost confident that if he slips, he won't have anything to grab onto to save himself.
My first thought of a solution is applying a grip tape to the bannister, but I'm curious if you all have any better solutions? I'm not trying to stop him from doing it, I know that a cats gonna cat, I just want to make it safe for him.

Ok maybe this is a silly question, but I figured this would be the best place to ask it. Deadpool and Wolverine comes out in a couple months and I’m (probably unnecessarily) getting a little bit stressed about all the catching up I have to do for it. I’ve seen close to zero X-Men anything- I’ve seen the first two Deadpool movies, like maybe two episodes of the animated series, and I saw The New Mutants in theaters with my friend as a joke. That’s it (aside from the few nods to mutants we’ve gotten in the MCU so far).
Here’s where my problem comes in: I’m not sure if I should watch the movies yet. I kind of had my heart set on experiencing the X-Men saga for the first time with the animated series, if only because it appeals to me significantly more than the movies. I love the MCU, but I’ve stayed away from the X-Men movies (aside from Deadpool, which I love) because they never seemed that appealing to me. Aside from a select few of the movies, I generally haven’t heard great things- what probably turns me off the most is continuity problems and (just my personal taste) simply the ugly color palette. I’ve also heard bad things about the way certain characters are represented in the films, and I would kind of like to see them portrayed faithfully first. I am a bit of a completionist though, and I know that it’s gonna kill me if everyone in the Deadpool and Wolverine audience is clapping at all the X-Men cameos while I don’t understand why I should be excited.
I have had a few things spoiled for me for both the show and movies, such as a character that dies at the end of the X-Men show, what Jean Gray turns into, what happens in Logan, and a couple other things, but I think I should be able to experience either medium untainted for the most part. My question is: will watching the films first somewhat hinder my experience watching the animated series? I assume I would probably have a lot of the storylines spoiled for me, so I want the opinion of diehard X-Men fans on whether or not it’s worth it to not fully resonate with Deadpool and Wolverine in order for the animated series to be my first time experiencing the X-Men saga. There’s not a whole lot of time before the new movie comes out, so I won’t have time to watch both- it’s really one or the other.

I got a Vw CC 2010 2.0t earlier this year which was sat for 6months with 165k km on the clock. I asked why owner said he got a truck and barely drove it. Spent 7k buying the car. Then 8k fixing it. The owner failed to mention the engine was in such a bad state it was oil starved even though first thing i did was get an oil change and do fluids. The engine was already destroyed and timing chain was about to go but you can’t tell in a 2.0t until its bad bad. Got a new engine for 5k new aluminium water pump, new timing chain and driving belt, new intake manifold gasket, new exhaust manifold gasket, new crankshaft and balance shaft, new oil pump chain, new battery and bulbs throughout. Engines even from a 2016 tiguan with a 1 year warranty.
My issue is i have 0 messages on the car that i put on marketplace for 15k, i’ve messaged people for trades but no one’s enthusiastic. I don’t know if i should take it to a dealership and if i will get a fair deal. Question is should i lower the price and see what happens, trade down, or take it in to a dealer?

So I want to create a voice assistant that can google things for me if I ask. My thought is to create a persistent system prompt akin to:

"You are an AI assistant. If the user asks you to look something up, or you are not completely confident in an answer to a factual question, respond with 'LOOKUP:' followed by the question or query. The next response you receive will be a summary of the first few pages of a web search of the question or query. Use this to create your response to the original question."

In my control script, I would then have it monitor responses from the model containing or starting with "LOOKUP:", and then have the script perform a quick search for the query, use a summarizing model for the first few pages, and send the summary back for the model to turn into a digestible response to the user.
Obviously there will be some latency here, but I plan to have it say something like "sure, let me look that up for you," while the web search and summarizing is happening.
Not sure if this qualifies as RAG or not, since there's no real pre-vectorized corpus of data it's pulling from. But it seemed like a fun experiment.

I relied heavily on online resources to learn everything I needed. ChatGPT was an incredible tool for answering my questions and guiding me through coding challenges. Stack Overflow became my go-to for troubleshooting specific issues, while YouTube tutorials and free courses on Coursera, Meta, and Udemy provided structured learning paths and hands-on projects that were crucial for understanding the basics and advanced concepts of app development.
The journey was far from easy. Collecting and organizing a large dataset from universities, consultants, and IELTS course providers was one of the most time-consuming parts. However, the satisfaction of overcoming these hurdles and seeing my app live on the app stores made it all worthwhile.
If there's one piece of advice I can offer, it's this: don't let the lack of experience deter you from pursuing your ideas. The resources available online today make it entirely possible to learn and build something amazing from scratch. Take your time, be patient with yourself, and stay persistent. You might just surprise yourself with what you can achieve.
I hope my story inspires some of you to take that first step towards bringing your own ideas to life. Not only can you create something valuable, but you can also open up new opportunities for personal and professional growth.
