The difference between ICS-100, IS-100, and a, b, c etc
2024.04.22 21:02 Spiley_spile The difference between ICS-100, IS-100, and a, b, c etc
I am supposed to take ICS 100, 200, and 700. But, I'm seeing a lot of variation when I look those up. Is there any difference between ICS and IS? And do I have to take 100a, 100b, and 100c etc to fulfill the requirements?
On that note, I tried to sign up for IS-700a and the course was discontinued.
People who have been at this a long time, if you are handing out assignments to newcomers, please be specific. This stuff may seem intuitive to you now, but it's not for us. And our time is in shorter and shorter supply these days. Tying to sort out the missing pieces using google results is becoming increasingly time consuming, as the results are bloated with millions of pages that don't answer the questions we searched for.
Thanks!

2023.12.30 17:56 Latter-Beat-104 Applying to work for AMR
Okay okay I don’t want a bunch of “don’t work for AMR” responses, but you can’t change my mind lol. I’ve graduated from EMT school NREMT passed, Licensed to work in California, and I have my medical examiner’s card/livescan fingerprinting done for the DMV. My last step is to do these *
http://training.fema.gov/IS/NIMS.asp. * IS-100B (ICS 100) * IS-200B (ICS 200) * IS-700A (NIMS) * IS-800B (NIMS) and to get my ambulance driver’s license. I was wondering if I have to have the driver’s license before applying to AMR? Will they even look at my application if I don’t have it? Also, what do I study for the ambulance driver’s test/what does the test consist of? I’ve printed the CHP Ambulance Driver’s handbook, but apart from that I’m not sure what to study. Does anyone have any info on this? Thank you :)

2022.05.01 08:34 nicecollegestudent AMR ICS courses
AMR requires these ICS courses but I can't find them online. For IS-200B there is the C version but I can't find the versions AMR wants
IS-100B (ICS 100)
IS-200B (ICS 200)
IS-700A (NIMS)
IS-800B (NIMS)

2018.05.30 23:05 TasteMyKimchi Just passed NREMT, where do I go from here?
Hey everyone so I just passed the NREMT yesterday (stopped @ 60 took ~30 minutes). My goal is to work on a 911 rig somewhere SoCal (preferably near riverside) however I'm not too sure where to go from here. To my knowledge I need to have these things on hand and completed before I can apply to places like AMR:
High school diploma or equivalent (GED)
CA Drivers' License
Ambulance Driver's License (from DMV)
Medical Examiner's Card or DL51 (from DMV)
State of California EMT License
CPR Card (American Heart Association ONLY, Health Care Provider. Hand written cards are not acceptable)
H-6 DMV print out (10yr. driving record; cannot be older than 30 days, online printouts are not acceptable)
ICS courses, please refer to link
http://training.fema.gov/IS/NIMS.asp.
IS-100B (ICS 100)
IS-200B (ICS 200)
IS-700A (NIMS)
IS-800B (NIMS)
I have my diploma, drivers, license, cpr card, and I should have all the ICS courses printed out in a folder at my school.
My question is how do I go and get the Ambu driver license as it's saying I need a printed out medical examination report (MSCA-5875) but is that different from the medical examiners card? Also is the H-6 DMV print out just a driving record of the past 10 years or is that also a test of some sort. Also how do I get the state of California EMT license after passing the registry?

2017.02.12 07:25 trancenental [WTS] Omega De Ville Automatic, Seiko 7002, Vintage Timex Manual Wind
Hi there,
This is my first time selling on this forum, so thank you for bearing with me! I'm looking to sell three of my pieces to make some room for incoming:
Omega De Ville Automatic - SOLD Caliber 711, Reference 151.0039 36mm X 38mm Omega Strap and Buckle not original to watch but are real Omega. Cabochon crown, not sure if original or replacement. Obvious toning to dial - scratches on case back - general age wear.
http://imgur.com/a/9FAiR http://imgur.com/a/yBYR9 Movement and case back photos.
Seiko 7002-700A Automatic - SOLD Circa January, 1991 42mm, well worn "Pepsi" bezel is original. Dial is starting to go "tropical"/patina. Crystal has been polished, hands have been replaced. Watch has NOT been waterproof/gasket tested. Seiko dive strap is replacement but authentic Seiko. Includes extra bezel insert (Black with silver - official Seiko)
http://imgur.com/a/pimm2 Vintage Timex Manual Wind - Let's be honest - no one wants this one :( Circa 1976 Case made in Great Britain, unknown movement origin Strap replacement Timex. Sketchy, unknown history, but not surprisingly, still works.
http://imgur.com/a/icArc I'd prefer payment through PayPal and will ship out within 3 days, usually much faster. Again, new here, but long time Ebay seller with outstanding feedback.
Thanks for checking it out!
(Edited to add a link to movement and case back photos for the Omega.)
