2024.05.21 11:36 One_Refrigerator [OFFER] €17 with Blocktrade: €10 from them + €7 from me (worldwide except UK/USA/Aus)
Blocktrade is a European crypto platform allowing users to buy, sell and trade popular cryptocurrencies.
The platform is available
worldwide, except the UK, USA, Australia and
these countries.
They have a referral program offering an
instant €10 in bitcoin if you sign up, deposit and buy €100 worth of crypto.
I'm offering an
extra €7 for a total of
€17.
Note: the fees are a bit higher than for other offers, which is why I'm offering 70% of my bonus to compensate. The fees are:
- €2 for EUR deposit
- some spread when buying the crypto + €0.50 for withdrawing XRP/XLM, or €2 for withdrawing EUR. Meaning that, in total, it should cost ~€5 or so if you withdraw XRP/XLM, so you would net approximately €12 including my bonus. (Note: your mileage might vary as the spread seems to differ from day to day.)
Steps: - Comment $bid on my post and I'll send you my link. (Message me if I haven't first)
- Sign up with my link and verify your account.
- Deposit at least €100 with a credit/debit card or bank transfer. (tip: card is faster and has the same fees, so I'd recommend that, unless your plan is to later withdraw directly to your bank account)
- Buy at least €100 worth of any crypto.
- You'll instantly receive €10 in bitcoin.
- Message me and I'll send you the extra €7.
You can sell and withdraw everything right away if you'd like. I'd recommend buying XRP/XLM/LTC and sending to another exchange.

2024.05.21 11:33 Fun-Improvement2491 Subclass 500 with De Facto
Hi all! Im from the PH and recently got accepted for Masters in a certain uni in AUS and I already received my COE. I plan to take my de facto partner with me as dependent. For context, we’ve been living at his parents house for more than a year. We intend to lodge our visas by the end of 2nd quarter this year. We’re doing everything DIY and did extensive research on the requirements and talked to a few couples online who recently got their visas granted. Based on our research and inquiries, here’s everything we’ve gathered so far:
- 3 Joint bank accounts (1 account we opened together & 2 personal accounts converted to joint)
- 4 Government IDs with same address
- Credit card and phone bills with same address
- Insurance with each other as beneficiaries
- Joint UITF
- Relationship timeline (scrapbook)
- Subdivision certificate
- Travel history (tickets/itinerary/passport stamps/current visas we hold)
- Proof of funds from both parents
- Affidavit of cohabitation
- Affidavit of parental attestation
Are these evidences enough to make a strong application?
I understand that there are certain risks we can’t avoid but we just want to make sure that we have more than enough proof to consider this a strong application. Let me know if there’s anything else we need to acquire. Thank you <3

2024.05.21 11:26 Ksimu22 Thanks to all my friends for contributing to my nest egg and allowing me to get my second Jellycat!

Since I can't afford any plushies with my credit card because of family problems, I opened a nest egg for the second time to get myself a Jellycat dragon, as I am in love with these dragons! After 2 months, the prize pool was completed, and with the help of wonderful people, we reached the 70 euro mark. I can now get my second Jellycat, and I am so excited to cuddle with it and sleep with it! I think that having two Jellycats is enough, and I don't plan to open another nest egg because it would be immoral to take advantage of people's money. However, I wanted to encourage you to trust in the goodness of people. With the help of my friends and all of you (who introduced me to Jellycat), I have reached a level of happiness I didn't know existed. ^^ Have a nice day, and maybe we will see each other again one day for a third dragon! <3 submitted by Ksimu22 to Jellycatplush [link] [comments] |

2024.05.21 11:18 Juggerfist Credit score going down despite doing the right things...
Heya,
I've been on a quest to sort out my finances a lot, as I'm looking to purchase a house next year. Over the last couple of years, I've worked to clear all my debt, sort out my finances, and I'm now in a pretty good position, with over £55k in savings (squirreled away in various places) and a good income.
My situtation is that a few years ago I got into some pretty bad habits and defaulted on a credit card. I paid it back almost immediately, but the mark remains on my score and will be cleared by March next year, as it will have been 6 years since the default. Since then, I have infrequently touched my credit cards, except occasional usage.
My credit score, however, is currently sitting in "Needs Works" according to TransUnion. It's dropped down from "Fair" pretty recently. The thing that's changed, is simply this: I've started using my credit card on the advice of many different people and resources. I'm using this card regularly, and have a direct debit to pay it off in full every month. I have no issues paying it.
My question is: Why is my score dropping? CreditKarma says "You should aim to keep reducing your balances so that they’re at least 10% lower than they were 3 months ago, as a sign that you’re starting to reduce your debt." At the same time, many resources say I should be using my card.
I'll add that this is a credit card I've had for quite some time. It's not new.
Can anyone tell me what I'm doing wrong, or can I expect it to normalise once they see my credit card usage has become regular and consistent?
Thank you!

I gave the test first and then for certificate, they asked 1.98 dollar which I paid with my credit card
Now they have also charged me 59 dollar as some subscription service. I clearly remember, I did not give consent for that
Further they have denied to refund and only share generic terms and condition link. They have not shared the proof about my consent.

2024.05.21 11:12 donutponzy Delivery failed and not getting refund.
So like 20 days ago I ordered something on Daraz worth 9k from a reputable seller and I had paid for the order via credit card. The rider made a fake delivery attempt once and now the status shows failed to deliver , no further delivery attempts will be made. I contacted daraz customer support and they said order will get back to seller and they will mark it as canceled then they can process my refund. It's been 20 days and the status hasn't changed. And I can't connect to daraz customer support anymore because it only conmects you to a BOT even when you ask for a real agent.

2024.05.21 11:11 Straight_Shallot_672 Is FIRE @50 possible for me?
Hi all,
Would like to get a cross check on my plans. Have been reading about FIRE for a number of years and progressively getting more serious around tracking and forecasting. My goal would be to retire around ~50 but could push this a few years depending on how I feel about my job at that time.
Here is our current situation:
Joint employment income mine 160 + SO 85 = £245k
Share options (early stage company) potentially worth between 0 - 400k (i’m keeping these at 0 in my head for now)
Primary residence £530k mortgage @2.94% worth £1.2m – we have a 6 year old at school and plan on staying for at least another 8-10 years.
BTL (old flat) £260k mortgage @ 5.74% worth £550k - currently rented for 2k per month. – I’ve let this for 8 years so quite a high CGT if I sell, hoping to keep either forever or until i’m paying less tax (in my name only). Not making money at the moment but has over the long term. In 1 year I can put the rent up and 1.5 year will remortgage hopefully lower, or pay a chunk off. Can pay 10% without charge which I am considering
Assets:
Single FANG stock £630K (ex employer RSU’s - gradually unwinding but probably will keep increasing if I avoid CGT)
ISA combined £479k (mix of stocks and index trackers) no contributions this year yet
Premium bonds £50k
Cash £80k savings
Child ISA £28k
Pensions:
Mine £320k
SO £100k
Debts:
0% credit cards £30k (will roll them over or pay off)
No car leases
Childcare wraparound:
£500 per month
Outgoings monthly average £6k including main mortgage (£2.3k) but excluding the BTL as I run that separately - this includes cars / house / bills and holidays
My main thoughts are increasing my pension so I can use my previous years allowances. I am thinking that this would be better than paying my main residence mortgage as I could pay a chunk from my 25% pension at 57 (checking if I can access at 55, unsure if the change impacts me). This might mean that we would not be able to fill ISA’s every year but probably makes sense from a longer term perspective.
One other thought is selling the flat and putting all the cash into pensions and ISA’s + GIA’s, while it is not making much now, over the longer term it will if interest rates drop or I pay down the mortgage. I could also consider an interest only on our main residence and put the rest into our pensions, but holding a large mortgage even with our assets still feels a bit uneasy.
For retirement I think we would need £60k a year to be comfortable – especially in the early years. Also we need to support our child through education / university but have set a child ISA up that we and grandparents contribute too.
Given all of this, is FIRE at 50 realistic for us? – My SO would likely continue working for a few years past me, but would also like to FIRE.
I really appreciate any and all advice!
Thanks
J

2024.05.21 11:07 plasmodia Clipper Card charged for a Monthly Fast Pass in error
I have an Adult Clipper Card that I loan out to house guests to use during their stays. In spite of the fact that the card shows "Autoload Off (expired)" in the Clipper App, on May 16, when I loaned it out, an $81 SF MUNI-Only Adult Pass was charged (Valid through Friday, May 31, 2024) on its first (and only) use. I thought I had successfully turned off the Fast Pass Auto load 5 years ago when I stopped using the pass and the app clearly stated that Autoload was off. I called Clipper to ask to have the Fast Pass reversed and a single ride charged for the one use, but they told me that they couldn't do that. I called the Credit Card company to dispute the charge and they cheerfully agreed, but the charge posted today anyway.
Is there any way to get this corrected? The Fast Pass notation on the Clipper App says that the pass is "Valid on first use" and "Pending Tag". If it is not tagged again before June 1, will the charge be reversed?
Any hint of an action will be appreciated.
PS. Next month, I'll try to transfer the remaining dollar balance to another card and cancel this card completely to prevent this from ever happening again. The Clipper rep said something about having to tag the card within six months of requesting a Fast Pass Cancellation to get the it to actually take effect, but that sounds idiotic.

2024.05.21 11:01 saveyoursidehustle Experience with Amazon and AliExpress: Tips and Insights for Filipino Shoppers
As a local online shopping fanatic here in the Philippines, I've tried out a bunch of international shopping platforms, especially Amazon and AliExpress. I wanted to share my experiences and some tips to help you get the most out of your international shopping adventures!
Amazon
My Experience
Amazon is like the king of online shopping globally. They have almost everything you can think of, from electronics to books to clothing. My experience with Amazon has been mostly positive. The site is easy to navigate, and they often have great deals and discounts.
Tips for Shopping on Amazon
- Use Amazon Global: Make sure the item you want ships to the Philippines. Look for "Amazon Global" eligible products to ensure hassle-free shipping.
- Check Reviews: Amazon has a robust review system. Always check reviews and ratings to make sure you’re buying a quality product.
- Consider Shipping Costs: Shipping from Amazon can be pricey. Sometimes, the shipping cost can be more than the product itself. Keep an eye on this to avoid surprises.
- Use a Freight Forwarder: If the item doesn’t ship directly to the Philippines, you can use a freight forwarding service like ShippingCart or My Shopping Box. They provide you with a US address, receive the item for you, and then ship it to the Philippines.
AliExpress
My Experience
AliExpress is known for its super affordable prices. You can find a lot of products that are way cheaper than on other sites. However, the quality can sometimes be hit or miss, so it's a bit of a gamble.
Tips for Shopping on AliExpress
- Read Reviews and Ratings: Like Amazon, always check the reviews and ratings. Look at customer photos to get a better idea of what you're buying.
- Communicate with Sellers: If you have questions about a product, don't hesitate to contact the seller. They can provide more details and ensure you know what you're getting.
- Be Patient with Shipping: Shipping from AliExpress can take a while, sometimes over a month. If you need something urgently, this might not be the best option.
- Use Buyer Protection: AliExpress offers buyer protection, so if you don’t receive your item or it’s not as described, you can open a dispute and potentially get a refund.
General Tips for International Shopping
- Check Import Duties and Taxes: When shopping internationally, remember that you might have to pay import duties and taxes. This can add to the overall cost, so factor it in before making a purchase.
- Use Secure Payment Methods: Always use secure payment methods like credit cards or PayPal to protect yourself from fraud.
- Track Your Orders: Once you’ve placed an order, keep track of it. Most international platforms provide tracking information so you can monitor your package’s journey.
- Be Aware of Return Policies: Returning items internationally can be complicated and expensive. Make sure you understand the return policy before buying.
Other Platforms to Explore
- eBay: Great for finding unique and second-hand items.
- Etsy: Perfect for handmade and vintage goods.
- iHerb: Ideal for health and wellness products, often with reasonable shipping fees to the Philippines.
Shopping on international platforms can be a fantastic way to find unique products and great deals that you might not find locally. With these tips, I hope your international shopping experience will be smooth and enjoyable. Happy shopping, friends!

2024.05.21 11:00 AutoModerator Question Thread - May 21, 2024
Welcome to the Daily Question thread at churning! This is the thread to post questions about churning for miles/points/cash. Just because you have a question about credit cards does NOT mean it belongs here. If you’re brand new here, please read the
wiki before posting.
* Please use the
search engine first - many basic questions have been asked before.
* Please also consider scanning (CTRL-F) the last couple days worth of Question threads
* If you have questions about what card to get, ask
here. If you have questions about manufactured spending, ask
here.
This subreddit relies heavily on self-moderation. That means that if you ask something that shows you haven’t done any research, you’re going to get a lot of downvotes.
