I recently purchased a miyoo mini plus. It was my first retro handheld and I love it. My knowledge of emulators, bios, and roms was non existent until I found the miyoo mini and watched like 10,000 YouTube videos… now I would like to purchase a second devise to play some N64 type games as well. I don’t want to break the bank ( looking at you Odin 2. Pro), but I would like something with a bit larger of a screen and something that is still user friendly to install (preferably with a YouTube walkthrough to help). I was considering both the rg35xx h or the retroid pocket 4. Are these decent choices? And is there another devise I should be considering? Thanks!

I recently modded my 3DS and have downloaded all the desired 3DS games and Dsiware from the Hshop. But I want to also download DS and GBA games (and like one 1 N64 game) but the only way I have seen people download these games is downloading the ROM in their PC and then dumping it in the SD card using modded tools.
But is there a way I can download these games without having to use a PC? I am ok with using a phone.

I'm using https://github.com/5T33Z0/Thinkpad-T490-Hackintosh-OpenCore to install macOS Sonoma and I'm running into a problem with finishing the installation.
I can boot from the USB, I can format the disk, I can connect to my WIFI network and start the installation. It takes a while, then the laptop reboots and bring me back to the installer menu with the usual options to restore from time machine, reinstall macos sonoma etc..
Instead of completing the installation (I think it should reboot a couple of times and resume the process all by itself) I can only restart the installation over and over.
I think I did everything right in regard to BIOS settings in my T490, I followed the instructions on the page above. Should I set the BIOS to always boot from the USB?
To create the USB I followed https://dortania.github.io/OpenCore-Install-Guide/ . I pasted the content of my USB installation media here: https://pastebin.com/WkriWgiK
As for editing plist, again I followed the instructions on that T490 repo, I'm only unsure about this step:
Generate MLB, Serial and ROM for MacBookPro15,2 using GenSMBIOS or OCAT.

3. Generate SMBIOS
4. Generate UUID
5. Generate ROM
But then when I try
6. List Current SMBIOS
it always returns empty info...

While I’ve successfully got all the other emulators and ROMs up and running, I’m encountering issues with the N64 emulator. To elaborate, I downloaded Bomberman 64 from Vimmslair and the GitHub ROMs megathread. Initially, it was recognized by the Emudeck/Steam but failed to start. Now, it’s not even being parsed or recognized at all. I’ve attempted reinstalling RetroArch and mupen64plus several times, as well as resetting the configuration on multiple occasions. Does anyone have any suggestions on how to fix this? |

Specifically Provenance, Delta, and Retroarch. Provenance and Delta are my primary apps but some PS1 and N64 games have issues and I would rather run them in Retroarch which has different cores. But I don’t want to have multiple copies of the same games for all these apps. I know Retroarch is highly customizable but I can’t seem to get it to find the roms in Provenance’s folders. PPSSPP is able to look for the PSP roms in the Provenance folders so I know it’s possible. Has anyone else tried to do this or should I just give up and move everything to Retroarch?

I want to make a list here of useful things, I think alot of people stumble around. I modded my 3ds in 2019 and have downloaded alot of different things over the years and these are the things that have stuck out. I am not really adding things everyone talks about. Some things people will recognize but I'm sure there's a few here you haven't heard of.
MUSIC:
BlargSPC: 3dsx application that plays dumped SPC files from SNES cartridges (and loops the music as if you're in game)
3DS VGMSTREAM: Plays .DSP files and many other file types from gamecube and other gaming platforms from SD by putting the files directly in a folder called Music in the root of the SD.
BCSTM PLAYER: Plays BCSTM files straight from your 3DS.
Lime Player: useful for playing most standard file types mp3 ect.
Ctrmus: comes with Luma, Basic mp3 player.
STEPPER: A Gameboy advance step sequencer booted from virtual console
Orchestrina: a Zelda ocarina emulator that let's you play a ocarina or windwaker songs.
UTILITY
Universal Manager: A really simple file browser for managing SD card contents
3ds Battery Mark: explains your batteries health

2024.05.19 03:16 TwoOrdinaryRacoons Can anyone help me figure out why I'm unable to launch N64 games in M64Plus FZ Pro from ES-DE?
I'm on Android 13 using a Galaxy Tab S7, ROMs are stored on an SD card. ES-DE is working great so far with RetroArch and other standalones, and I've got it configured as the alternative emu for N64 games, but when I try to launch a game to M64Plus FZ, it will only launch the emulator and not the game.
One thing I've noticed that might be part of the problem is that I can't seem to find my ROM library within M64Plus FZ because it won't let me navigate to my SD card like the other emulators do.
Had anyone else resolved this issue?

Hello, can anyone help me? I'm using Flips on b3313v1.0.2.bps on Super Mario 64 (USA).n64 and I get the message "This patch is not intended for this ROM.". I've looked online but I don't see any reason for this. The patch page doesn't indicate a specific .n64 version I need to patch, and I've tried two different sources for the .n64, both USA. There's a post I found about it giving the error but outputting the patched file anyway, but I don't get it. Any ideas?

First time trying this board (T-Display S3 AMOLED, touch non-soldered version). I cloned the GitHub repo and started uploading the examples one by one. Most of them worked but then I failed to pay attention to the details and uploaded an example project that probably wasn't compatible with my version.
Now the screen is black, nothing is visible.
When I try to load the factory version or any other example that worked, I consistently get an error: "A serial exception error occurred: Write timeout". However when I try to monitor the board that works. It looks like the software is running on it, it's just got a bug and stuck in a permanent reboot.
This is what I see in the serial monitor , several times every second:

Hey guys
I have tried using older xposed modules such as XUI Mod and swipe back along with other modules that were made since 2013 and maintained until KitKat 4.4.4. These tools for me were literally one of the only reasons to get Xposed, since they offered so much customization ability to your ROM without installing a custom ROM.
The old xposed repo is now dead and I've tried using these modules with LSposed with no avail. They simply don't work, although I do vaguely remember getting XUI Mod to work a while back, but not for long.
Does anyone have any advice?
