Hello ladies, looking for a mentally mature woman who is able to handle a FWB type relationship without blowing up each others current situation. I'm looking to fill in the gaps of a dead bedroom at home and have some playful fun chat time during the day. I would be available M-F and an occasional weekend day or evening. I am blessed to work from home and have a very flexible schedule normaly, so I can easily work around your availability during the day and would be able to host on most occasions.
A little about me. I'm a 6'1 225 fun loving guy who loves the PNW and all it has to offer. You will normally see a smile on my face and most women discribe me as a decent looking man. I love music, cooking, sports and wine. I love to kiss ! A great kiss is the always the doorway to passion and a great way to set the mood. I am a pleaser, but also love to be pleased. I have had a relationship like this before and found the benefit of it actually improved my home life considerably and looking forward to finding another partner.
You- Fun loving as well with a positive attitude on life, a smile that rarely goes away and a lust for naked adult fun time. You are able to understand what our relationship is and are able to navigate through it without losing your mind along the way.
Together we will bring good things to each others lives and fill in the lose and emptiness we are both experiencing and maybe have some new adventures together.
If this all sounds like what you are looking for send me a DM and let's start exploring what we both have to offer each other.

2024.05.21 21:07 trishia42 Stress panting in cat - what's "normal"?

Species: Domestic medium hair - Age: ~1 year - Sex/Neuter: Male/Neutered - Weight: ~4.5 kg
Very long, so tl/dr: Skittish cat got very stressed by stranger staying at house overnight and I think felt trapped where he was (closet all night). Once found and isolated, kept intermittently panting for a little over an hour, slowly decreasing over time. Was acting fairly normal apart that (eating, drinking, litter box), and previous bloodwork/x-rays/pro-BNP were normal. Is this length of time after such a long stressful event normal, especially when there were pauses? Stranger is staying the night again (medical emergency) so I plan on putting him in a closed bedroom with Feliway.
Video link; https://drive.google.com/file/d/1pf39S6Bjcp74PQKf0b9nFltFvetzh1uV/view?usp=sharing
More details (but long);
Cat is extremely skittish around strangers. My father slept over last night on a mattress on the main floor of our townhome and of course, the cat hid under my bed but seemed fine when I went to sleep (had brought litter box, watefood in the room). Shortly after, he headed downstairs and only when I woke up did I realize he hadn't come back which was odd for him. Found him in the hallway closet facing the wall tightly wedged between two recycling boxes, so it looked like he spent the majority of the night terrified there (I feel AWFUL).
Ran back to the bedroom and after my father left, I was able to coax him out with a Churu and then noticed he was panting like a dog. It was sort of intermittent, where he would stop to eat, or drink, or groom himself, but then start again - so like 10-15 seconds on and then 10-15 seconds off. It is warmer in the bedroom but not all that hot and I did try to cool him down with water and a cold towel on his paws and ears. He had full bloodwork before he was neutered last October including a pro-BNP test (not the SNAP, the quantitative Cardiopet), which was within normal, as well as x-rays in January due to an unrelated event (gastro) that included the chest and abdomen and were clear so I felt this was more stress than a more serious issue? I've seen a cat go into respiratory distress, and the cat looked bad with strong abdominal breathing and clear distress, whereas he seemed pretty normal apart that and acting skittish and a bit, er, emotionally distressed. Didn't want to rush him somewhere and stress him more for no reason so I just stayed with him and monitored him and the panting slowed down becoming less frequent and in shorter segments but it took a little over an hour to completely stop at which he stayed under the bed for another 30 minutes and then he was out and pretty much completely acting like himself. Is that length of time to calm down normal if the stressful event was all night? I'm planning on putting him in the closed bedroom tonight from the start, setting up an A/C, and I got a Feliway Optimum plugin, but I feel absolutely terrible (and worried!). Just wondering if this sort of thing is still within the realm of "possible due to stress" or what.
Thank you if you read this and thank you for any comments.

2024.05.21 20:59 Ok_Arm420 How do I approach cleanliness and chore board to housemates?

A little long but could really use advice and help.. I live in a shared house with 2 males and 2 females (25m, ?m, 25f,27fme). We are all strangers found eachother online when past housemates moved out. I've lived with my female housemate for 2 yrs and the 2 male housemates just moved in a month and 2 ago, We'll call everyone A(25f) B(25m) C(?m). So last week A announced she will be leaving next month which leaves me with a whole set of complete strangers I just met, that's fine. My main point is the bathroom has always been a big deal even with the old housemates, no one want to clean the tub which get dirty and moldy fast since there's no window, A and i didnt get along due to different ideas of cleaning(she just wouldnt unless asked to). When B moved in I expressed to A and B that the bathroom has become an issue because there's alway poop splattered in the bowl and the tub isn't being cleaned. 1 month later C moved in, I got my own bathroom, problem solved, out of sight out of mind. Well the house was stinky today and I checked in and the bathroom is disgusting. 4x more poop is splattered in the bowl, hairs collected everywhere and tub is getting moldy again even tho I did a complimentary cleaning 3 weeks ago before leaving it to them, ( i have a feeling this is why A is leaving but we're not friends so idk really)... So what do I do?? Everyone has a private bedroom so not my problem, even tho the house is getting musty and stinky. My problem is I am currently looking for a Female housemate to move in and like wtf is that -_-... so how do I approach this with 2 stange men I just met? B is the culprit who's diet is take out and 7/11 food only and seems really immature and arrogant. C I just met and seems to have a healthy diet, keep to himself and is respectful, no complaints but also just met him. A is gone in a month so she really is just surviving here and doesn't really talk to me anyways so I really need advice from someone with a little experience in this. I used to be very passive up until a year ago when I found my voice, and I struggle with approaching things calmly without it sounds accusatory or a little aggressive. I am learning. This situation is making me feel very frustrated because I feel like adults should just adult. But how do I ask my 2 male housemates to clean the bathroom more often? And how do I assert house rules and a chore chart (that was talked about before when i interviewed them both for the room) This is really important to me because I just lived 2 years of stress and passive aggressiveness from my old housemates for these same issues that never got addressed unlit it was out of control and we couldn't take it and back then we were all females! I don't share the bathroom anymore so I shouldn't care but It smells sooo bad. Also they keep leaving dishes in the sink even though a 24 hr limit was discussed ... please help reddit 🙏

Frequently Asked Questions
Are Reservations Necessary To Dine In Barcelona Restaurants?
Asking the age-old question of whether reservations are necessary to dine in Barcelona restaurants is like trying to solve a Rubik's cube. It can take some skill and finesse but, with patience and practice, the answer can be revealed!
To begin with, it generally depends on what kind of restaurant you're planning on visiting. For instance, if you choose to visit a high-end establishment downtown then making a reservation may be essential; however, many smaller restaurants don't require one. In Spain specifically, most local eateries will not insist upon an advanced booking - particularly for lunchtime meals or during off-peak hours. Here are three tips that could help:
Look up reviews online – they often indicate if reservations are recommended
Check out the restaurant website – this should have more information about their policies
Give them a call directly – speaking to staff members might give you the clearest insight into their practices
Ultimately though, there’s no need to worry unduly about making bookings since Barcelona has so much delicious food and friendly service readily available! Whether it's tapas bars, seafood cafes or traditional bistros customers just walk right in and enjoy themselves without any hassle. There’s something wonderfully freeing in knowing exactly where your next meal is coming from without having to plan ahead too far in advance. If freedom and spontaneity sound appealing when exploring this vibrant city then luckily there are plenty of options out there which don't require reservations!
What Is The Average Cost Per Person For A Meal In Barcelona?
When it comes to dining out, one of the first questions we all have is what it will cost. When considering Barcelona restaurants, this question becomes even more pertinent. But how much does a meal in Barcelona typically set you back?
The average cost per person for a meal at a restaurant in Barcelona can vary depending on the type of establishment and food chosen. Generally speaking, however, diners can expect to pay anywhere between:
€15 - 20 for an economical lunch or dinner
€25 - 40 for mid-range meals
€50+ for fine dining experiences
It's possible to enjoy delicious Catalan cuisine without breaking your budget; many eateries offer good value sets menus that include starter, main course & dessert from around €20/person. For those looking to save even more money but still eat well, there are numerous tapas bars offering small plates at relatively low prices. It's also worth noting that many establishments offer discounts during certain times such as early bird specials and happy hours where drinks may be heavily discounted or buy one get one free offer.
So if you're planning a trip to Barcelona and want to experience its amazing culinary culture without spending too much money then make sure you do some research ahead of time so you know exactly what kind of deals are available before heading out into town!

2024.05.21 20:11 Kindly-Space6820 How to improve your sleep quality for those who get 5-6 hrs of sleep daily.

Am writing this from a non professional perspective. This method may or may not work for you. Also I don't know if anyone has ever spoken of this method here Try and have to sleep in 2 places .For me the couch and the bedroom works. Note that in this two places one should be more comfier and ambient than the other. Now start your sleep on your less comfortable place, then sleep their for at least 2hrs.Set an alarm. When the alarm rings say to yourself that am going to sleep in a more comfortable place and that I have still another 3-4 hrs to sleep remember to set an alarm again. This method may be effective in the long run than the short term, but to others they may see less lousy day and that feeling of tiredness may lessen.

2024.05.21 20:08 MoneyHead2420 Annoying my landlord

Need some advice regarding how to walk the line between between being annoying and conveying issues to my landlord. Let me start off by saying that my “lease” is basically a handshake agreement. I pay a minimal $500 in rent, but do a lot of the grounds keeping on the 20 acre property. The living situation is a 1 bedroom guest home that sits across the property from the owners who are family friends. The rent we pay is at least 1k under what it would be for anything comparable in the area therefore, I feel it is being rented to us as a favor. It was set to be the perfect situation but since moving in this month, we have had an animal die under the house that required a plumber and a service call from the cable provider to get everything hooked up (cable that we are paying for). It seems like every other day I have been hitting them up to report a new problem, or work with them on an existing problem. It’s obvious that this has been a little bit more stressful for both us and the landlord than expected but we thought we were finally headed in the right direction of being low key, tenants that pay on time and keep the property looking nice…. Then the AC went out last night. I have a decent idea of what is wrong with it but don’t have professional hvac experience. Do I let them know and make another ask? Do I try to make the fix myself? Do I offer to pay for the fix even though we have literally lived there for 2 weeks and it was obviously not our fault?
I feel like I am just struggling with this because I feel like they are renting it to us as a favor but now it’s going to cost them. I’ve gone above and beyond in taking care of the place and making sure I fulfill my end of the deal, but can’t shake the feeling that they are beginning to regret their decision to rent their place to us. Let me know what you would do and if I am thinking way too much into this.
Thanks!

2024.05.21 20:08 Massive_Shift5064 Relapses - What do you guys do?

I'm a very patient woman. I know this because I've been so supportive of him for the last 3 years while he's lied to me. More recently, I've been vocalizing my discomfort and unease with the lies. He doesn't know how to fully open up to me because he takes responsibility for my emotions and he feels even worse when we talk about how his actions make me feel. He's in therapy, I'm in therapy, and we both just started couples therapy. He struggles with Instagram and Reddit. From what I'm aware of, he hasn't had any conversations with anyone. He says he's addicted to the lust. He's never spent money on girls online, never chatted them up, or really interacted with them.
I'm getting really fucking tired of the same "this action made me feel this way" conversations.
4 days ago, I went digging for my bra in the laundry basket and felt something cold and wet. I found his used up sock. The night before, we were intimate. I got out of bed early to prepare for our guests that stayed the weekend. I thought I'd be nice and let him sleep in. He wasn't sleeping.
He came into the room and I was holding his sock. He immediately lowered his head and started crying. I asked him if he was planning on telling me and his response was "I was planning on bringing it up to (therapist) at my next session." But why weren't you going to tell me? After I told you how the lies make me feel, why can't you be honest and disclose this stuff to me? I feel like I'm going crazy because I can't tell what's real and what's anxiety and what's going on in his head.
I squashed the feelings down because I didn't want our guests to feel the tension. But now that they're gone, I'm processing yet another discovery that I didn't fucking need or want right now.
I plan on setting yet another rule about phones being in the bedroom. I had it enforced before, but I ignorantly stopped caring.
I'm looking for more ways to bunker down on this. I refuse to be stepped on more. I have enough shit to deal with as a SAHM of two kids who was just diagnosed with bipolar disorder. Sometimes I believe the bipolar was brought on because of the constant lies.
What do you guys do when they relapse? I need to create a concrete plan, but I'm a bit lost at where to start. I know people say their PA is a great man, and I do believe mine is with my entire heart, but struggles with this addiction. How can I protect myself further? There's only so much of this I can take before I start going down the deep end.

2024.05.21 20:01 Traditional_tuesday How to deal with lead painted dinnerware

Hey y'all. So a few years ago I received nearly a full set of this gorgeous, vintage china Fall Bounty by Lenox. I already had some dinnerware and not enough room for them, so I left them in a closet for a few years. We are about to move so I thought I would pull them out and take them with us to replace the old stuff I have, but as I looked at them again, I began to wonder if they have lead paint. After some digging around, I found someone who had them tested at length and found WELL OVER 100k ppm of lead and over 5k ppm of arsenic, so that's gonna be a hard pass.
But they're so cute and I have so many. Is there any way to seal leaded dinnerware so they're safe to use, or should I just destroy most of them and keep a few for display purposes?

2024.05.21 19:44 Calledinthe90s 14: Revenge on my Grade Nine English Teacher

This was originally posted to pettyrevenge, but for some reason got taken down. So here goes:
The revenge I took on my grade nine English teacher was so petty that I hesitate to write about it. But Mrs. Bristle (for that is the name I will give her) was cruel to me every chance she got, and she made my first year in high school a misery. So when a file with her name on it arrived at my office, my first thought was not that I would beat her (for I was certain that I would) but rather, of the revenge I would take along the way.
I was pushing forty when Mrs. Bristle’s file hit my desk, some estate litigation where a mother’s last will and testament left my clients next to nothing, and gave their sister, Mrs. Bristle, pretty well the entire estate. When I saw the defendant’s name it looked familiar, and after a bit of Googling, I confirmed what I suspected: the defendant, Mrs. Bristle, was my former grade nine English teacher.
I remembered Mrs. Bristle very well. She was supposed to be teaching us the wonders of English literature, but what she really taught us were her rules, by which she meant her arbitrary whims, expressed in vague language, backed up by petty punishments for non-compliance. There was an art to getting along with Mrs. Bristle, and while most of the other kids learned it easily enough, somehow I did not. I have trouble learning unwritten rules, and in Mrs. Bristle’s class where unwritten and constantly changing rules were the order of the day, I didn’t stand a chance. Mrs. Bristle admonished me almost daily for ‘not paying attention’. I did detentions, re-wrote assignments, and made visits to the principal’s office, all because I apparently wasn’t listening, wasn’t doing what I was told.
Many was the time when Mrs. Bristle took me to task for missing some obvious but unstated part of an assignment. One time I handed in a sonnet, and received an “F” because the rhyming pattern was Petrarchan, not Shakespearean. But she would be nice to me, Mrs. Bristle would always say when she tossed my work back at me. She would give me another chance to hand the assignment in with the arbitrary changes she required, in the end giving me a good mark, but then heavily downgraded for being late.
Mrs. Bristle's case worked its way through the early stages, and every time I exchanged an email with her (for she was a self-rep, no need for counsel, she claimed) I thought about the unpleasant time I’d spent in her class. I had a rough time in high school, and I always resent anything that makes me dwell on it.
After a few months, the case was ready for the next stage. It was time to examine Mrs. Bristle, to find out why she thought her mother wanted to disinherit most of the family and enrich Mrs. Bristle alone. I showed up at the court reporter’s office early as usual, to get set up.
“What’s that shit eating grin on your face?” Adam asked. He was a lawyer colleague, about my vintage, and we were sitting in the lounge for lawyers only, the room that most court reporter’s offices have, a place for the lawyers to hang out and shoot the shit, no clients allowed.
“I’m going to examine my grade nine English teacher today,” I said, “and it's going to be fun.” I explained how she’d hated me back in the day, and had done her best to make my life hell.
“What’s the case about?” Adam said. Adam had been around the block, same as me, and it took only a few words for me to summarize everything that mattered in the file. “Estate fight, one sibling against four, undue influence, holograph will cutting out most of the siblings, competing with an older will, a formal one, where the shares are equal.”
Adam nodded appreciatively. “Nice fees, if the estate’s got the cash.”
“It does,” I said. We chatted for a bit, and then sat there in silence as we each did the last bit of prep for the cases we had that day, making notes, reading documents and drinking coffee. My alarm dinged just before ten, and I made my way to the examination room, and Mrs. Bristle, the teacher who’d greatly disliked the grade nine version of Calledinthe90s. I was curious to see if she would like the older version any better.
* * *
The examination started, and Mrs. Bristle and I sparred for a while, me tossing vague questions her way, and criticizing her when she did not understand. I kept her on the defensive for close to three hours, until it was getting on to one p.m.
“Aren’t you in a conflict or something?” she said to me just before the lunch break, when she’d finally made the connection, and understood that the lawyer asking her questions was a former student.
“No conflict,” I said, dismissing her concerns with a wave of my hand. “During the lunch break, there’s something I need you to do.”
“I don’t want to answer questions during lunch. I need a break.” The examination had been rough on Mrs. Bristle. She was not used to being asked questions, to being held to account, to being constantly challenged, and even having her grammar corrected now and again.
“You’ll get your lunch break. But while you’re eating a sandwich or whatever, keep this copy of the holograph will next to you.” The will on which Mrs. Bristle’s case relied was a holograph will, meaning that Mrs. Bristle’s mother had written the will entirely in hand from start to finish. The mother, or more likely, Mrs. Bristle herself, had downloaded a holograph will form from the web, and had completed it in accordance with the website’s instructions. Holograph wills are special. You can do a holograph will without a witness, without a lawyer, without anything at all, so long as you did it right. But if you got anything wrong, if you messed up in any way, it was invalid.
“You want me to read the will again over lunch?” Mrs. Bristle said.
“No. Instead, I want you to make a handwritten copy of it.”
“You want me to write it out? Whatever for?”
“There’s an allegation that the will wasn’t written by your mother, and that you wrote it up instead.” An allegation that I’d made up myself, that morning, while I was sitting in the lawyer's lounge, drinking coffee and munching on a muffin. My clients had not challenged the will’s handwriting; it was obviously their mother’s, totally different from Mrs. Bristle’s own writing. But I had decided otherwise.
Mrs. Bristle was appropriately outraged at being unjustly accused of forgery. Said she could prove it wasn’t her handwriting, could absolutely prove it.
“Then let’s settle the forgery issue once and for all,” I said, “write out the will in your own hand, so that our document experts can examine it, compare it with the original, and make a determination.”
“I don’t need the entire lunch break for that,” Mrs. Bristle said, “and I’d rather eat lunch at the restaurant downstairs.” The will was barely a page long, at most three hundred words, that being all it took for the mother to allegedly disinherit most of her children, and inexplicably leave everything to Mrs. Bristle. The mother had written up the will herself, but she’d been ninety at the time, while living in Mrs. Bristle’s house, and very much under her influence.
“I’ve retained five different experts,” I said, “and each of them will need copies.”
“Five experts? Why so many experts?”
“Each expert needs ten samples, for comparison purposes. It’s going to take you a while, Mrs. Bristle. I suggest you get started.” I overrode her protests and once she started to write, I left her in the room, and went to the lawyer’s lounge to eat their small sandwiches and drink more of the excellent coffee. After a while I stopped by the examination room to look in on Mrs. Bristle. I wanted to check in on her progress.
Mrs. Bristle asked for more time, complained of writer’s cramp, and asked me again if it was really necessary for her to write out the holograph will fifty times in her own hand, and I assured her that there was nothing for it, that it was absolutely necessary. I returned to the lounge to check my emails, leaving her hard at the homework I’d given her.
After a while my colleague, Adam, popped into the lounge. He asked me how it was going, the examination with the teacher, the teacher who had treated me so badly.
“I’m making her write lines.” Adam laughed, and laughed harder when I explained that I wasn’t kidding, that I really was making Mrs. Bristle write lines, and how I was doing it. His laughter attracted attention, and a few other lawyers asked what was up. “He’s making his teacher witness write lines,” Adam said, and the lawyer’s lounge hooted with laughter when I told everyone what was up.
It was one of the pettiest things I’ve ever done to anyone, making my grade nine teacher write lines. But the writing lines thing was just a warmup. The real revenge had yet to come. I returned to the examination room after a while, to check up on Mrs. Bristle, see how she was doing.
“This is taking forever,” she said, “and I really don’t get why you need it.” She had writer’s cramp, and was shaking her hand to get the kinks out. I picked up the stack of holograph wills she’d created, and flipped through it. She was nowhere near finished.
“On second thought,” I said, “maybe it isn’t necessary. I think you’re right. I don’t need any handwriting samples from you.”
“Why not?” she said.
“The will is invalid,” I explained, adding that because her mother had used a pre-printed form off the web, the law would not recognize the will. “A holograph will has to be entirely in the testator's handwriting,” I explained, “every single word entirely in handwriting from start to finish. This will doesn’t qualify, because your mother used a standard form, a form printed off the web, with instructions and boxes and questions and so on, and when you do that, then the will is no longer a holograph will. It’s a regular will, and regular wills need to be properly witnessed. This one isn’t witnessed, and that means it’s not a will. It’s just a piece of paper.”
“Are you trying to tell me that you only figured that out now? What kind of lawyer are you, anyways?”
“What kind of lawyer am I? I’m a lawyer who makes a witness skip lunch, and sit in a small room all alone, and write lines. Sound familiar, Mrs. Bristle?” She said nothing, and just stared at me. I closed the door on her, leaving her alone once more, and left for the Middle Temple Tavern where the lawyers all hung out. It was time to hoist a Guinness and enjoy my petty triumph.

Title:Fashion Forward, Earth Friendly: Brands Leading the Way in Sustainable Leather Recycling
Hey fashion lovers,
Let’s talk about sustainability in the fashion industry, specifically the innovative use of recycled leather. As the fashion world becomes more environmentally conscious, several brands and designers are leading the charge by incorporating recycled leather into their collections. These forward-thinking companies are not only setting trends but also making a significant impact on reducing waste and promoting sustainable practices. Here are some standout brands making waves in sustainable leather recycling:
  1. EILEEN FISHER
EILEEN FISHER has long been a pioneer in sustainable fashion, and their commitment to recycling is no exception. The brand's "Renew" program takes back worn EILEEN FISHER pieces and gives them a new life. Their recycled leather accessories, made from salvaged leather garments, combine timeless design with an eco-friendly ethos.
  1. Stella McCartney
Known for her staunch opposition to using animal products, Stella McCartney has also embraced recycled leather alternatives. Her collections often feature innovative materials like recycled polyester and regenerated leather, proving that luxury fashion can be both stylish and sustainable.
  1. Elvis & Kresse
This brand has made a name for itself by transforming reclaimed materials into high-end accessories. Elvis & Kresse upcycles leather off-cuts from the luxury industry into beautifully crafted bags and belts. Their zero-waste approach ensures that every scrap of leather is used, contributing to a circular economy.
  1. Re/Done
Re/Done is famous for their repurposed denim, but they've also ventured into recycled leather. By deconstructing vintage leather pieces and reimagining them into modern designs, Re/Done creates unique, one-of-a-kind garments that celebrate sustainability and individuality.
  1. Luxe Collective
Luxe Collective is a newer brand that focuses on sustainability without compromising on style. They source post-consumer leather waste and transform it into chic, contemporary pieces. By keeping the production process transparent and eco-friendly, Luxe Collective is setting a new standard for responsible fashion.
  1. NuuwaĂŻ
NuuwaĂŻ is dedicated to producing vegan and sustainable accessories. Their innovative use of AppleSkin, a bio-based material made from apple waste, is complemented by their incorporation of recycled leather in select products. This blend of vegan and recycled materials showcases their commitment to reducing environmental impact.
  1. Lost & Foundry
Lost & Foundry focuses on sustainable, small-batch production. They utilize recycled leather sourced from various industries to create bespoke pieces that are as unique as they are eco-friendly. Their emphasis on craftsmanship and sustainability makes them a brand to watch.
  1. Minuit Sur Terre
This French brand specializes in vegan and sustainable footwear, incorporating recycled leather into their stylish designs. Minuit Sur Terre’s commitment to ethical production and sustainability extends to their packaging, which is also made from recycled materials.
By choosing to support these brands, we can all contribute to a more sustainable fashion industry. Not only do these companies reduce waste by recycling leather, but they also inspire others to follow suit and prioritize environmental responsibility.

2024.05.21 19:20 SHRUIMS Regina George?

I have a friend, we’ve known each other for ~3 or 4 years now. We’ve had a love hate relationship throughout these years as we are very similar in a lot of ways, but we differ greatly in the way we were raised and the hills we are willing to die on. For context we are both very head strong, passionate and assertive women, but we are also very sensitive and perhaps BOTH have big egos at times. Recently we’ve gotten closer and our friendship is getting stronger, but she keeps subtly suggesting that she put me on to things. And it’s bothering me. I’m not ashamed to admit when someone introduced me to or put me on to things, i wouldn’t consider myself a “gatekeeper”, but it’s becoming things like nail polish color, ideas for a potluck, JEANS, and styles. For more context, she is a vintage curator and seller and she definitely prides herself in her ability to curate, and she is great at it!! But gawddamn I have style too, and a reason we are friends is because we have so much in common in style and taste, but she keeps suggesting she’s the one putting me on and I don’t want to even bother spending the energy defending myself because of how set in stone her mind is. But idk what to do because I am bothered by it. Any suggestions? Should I just let it go?

Aesthetic Wallpapers: Adding a Touch of Art to Your Digital Life

In today's digital age, we spend a significant amount of time on our computers, smartphones, and tablets. To enhance the user experience, many people choose to set aesthetic wallpapers on their devices. Aesthetic wallpapers not only improve visual enjoyment but also reflect the user's personality and taste.

What Are Aesthetic Wallpapers?

Aesthetic wallpapers refer to background images that are visually pleasing and beautifully designed. These wallpapers can encompass various styles and themes, from minimalism to vintage, from natural landscapes to abstract art. The key to aesthetic wallpapers is their ability to bring a sense of harmony and beauty, often achieved through color combinations, pattern designs, and overall composition.

Types of Aesthetic Wallpapers

  1. **Minimalist Style**: This style emphasizes simplicity and clarity, usually employing a single or limited color palette with simple yet elegant patterns. Minimalist wallpapers help users stay focused and reduce visual clutter.
  2. **Vintage Style**: Vintage wallpapers often feature nostalgic tones and elements such as old photographs, retro advertisements, and classic artworks. These wallpapers can evoke a sense of nostalgia for the good old days.
  3. **Natural Landscapes**: Natural landscape wallpapers showcase the majestic beauty of nature, including mountains, oceans, forests, and starry skies. These wallpapers are not only beautiful but also provide a sense of tranquility and relaxation.
  4. **Abstract Art**: Abstract art wallpapers captivate viewers with their unique shapes and color combinations. This style of wallpaper has no specific theme but can stimulate the viewer's imagination and creativity.
  5. **Anime and Gaming**: For fans of anime and video games, aesthetic wallpapers featuring their favorite characters and scenes can be a great way to personalize their devices. These wallpapers often have vibrant colors and dynamic compositions that reflect the energy and excitement of the genre.

Why Choose Aesthetic Wallpapers?

  1. **Personal Expression**: Aesthetic wallpapers allow users to express their individuality and personal style. Whether you prefer a serene natural landscape or a bold abstract design, your wallpaper can say a lot about who you are.
  2. **Mood Enhancement**: The right wallpaper can significantly impact your mood. Calming images can help reduce stress, while vibrant and energetic designs can boost your spirits and motivation.
  3. **Productivity Boost**: A well-chosen wallpaper can also enhance productivity. Minimalist designs, for example, can create a clutter-free digital environment that helps you stay focused and organized.
  4. **Visual Appeal**: Simply put, aesthetic wallpapers make your devices look better. They transform an ordinary screen into a piece of art, making everyday interactions with your devices more enjoyable.

Where to Find Aesthetic Wallpapers

There are numerous websites and platforms where you can find high-quality aesthetic wallpapers. Some popular sources include:

2024.05.21 19:13 UniCarCzar First gig was incredible

I bought a DDJ-400 last April because I had been thinking of DJing as a hobby for fun. Well after a year practicing, I asked a friend who throws pool parties during the summer months to DJ one of his pool parties. Roughly around 200 people attend.
Initially he said I would only need to DJ for half the party as he had another DJ the second half. So about 2.5hrs. I’ve done that in the bedroom and have plenty of music. I bought an Opus Quad as an upgrade, mainly for me, but also the pool party gave me an excuse.
About two weeks before, he told me the other DJ got a paid gig and I asked if I’d be okay doing the whole 5hrs. I said sure with all the confidence in the world.
I was a little nervous leading up to it as having attending the parties before no one is really dancing or paying attention to the music too much.
The day of came and my heart was racing. I played disco and then half way through transitioned to house and dancier music and let me tell you people started dancing in front of me.
People kept coming up telling me how much they had been loving the music and if I needed anything. Lots of thumbs up. I knew quite a bit of people but most of them didn’t know I was a bedroom DJ. Some people took my info cause they want to book me for their parties.
I recorded the set; all 5.5hrs of it. My heart was racing the entire time. I felt pretty high and exhilarated right after it. It was something else. I only messed up once when the songs drifted apart too much and I panicked and just swapped volumes quickly. No one noticed but I knew.

2024.05.21 18:54 Temporary_Lawyer_938 How do you manage this symptom?

It's common for folks with ADHD to struggle with sleepiness/grogginess in the early part of the day and feeling more awake/energized in the evening. The common "answer" for this seems to be a poor sleep schedule or even delayed sleep phase disorder, both of which require modifications to sleep habits and hygiene. What about for those of us who never recovered from this issue even with years of diligent proper sleep hygiene and schedule? What if we have already tried every single thing listed online that is supposed to fix this and it doesn't? What are we supposed to do?
More context for those who might offer solutions related to it: My brain and body are foggy and tired until at least 7pm every single day regardless of my habits/lifestyle. Even when I had a career that required me to get to work when it was still dark out in the morning. Even if I go to the gym/get outside into the sunlight first thing in the morning. Even while taking melatonin and stopping electronics etc before bedtime. Even after trying to change my medication routines to start them earlier in the day. Even with alarms and daylight simulators in my bedroom. No amount of changes to my lifestyle or routines have changed the fact that I don't feel awake, alert, or properly functional until the sun has set for the day and I hate it.

2024.05.21 18:52 Big-Dragonfruit-6822 Do I have Derealization?

I have pretty low anxiety levels unless in a group of people I do not know. I have only had a couple panic attacks in my life years ago and absolutely never have them now. I can walk around in busy areas and I almost just don't feel like anyone can even see me, I'm in a constant world of my own you could say. I don't really have any issue with having a 1 on 1 conversation with anyone who is a reasonably nice person although I feel like I can clearly sense when someone isn't to be trusted and more often than not this is the case. I'm extremely hyper vigilant which people say is paranoia but it feels more like my senses are just more attuned than others and it makes life difficult in a certain sense. I struggle with a feeling like I'm constantly being set up, particularly by potential employers which leads to me quitting many jobs. I do think there is something inherently distasteful about rich employers paying me the minimum they can just so I can pay for my 1 bedroom house and food. My anxiety used to make me feel trapped in situations but I genuinely have lost the feeling that I care what people think so I will happily just quit but I'm actually in serious financial stress so I need to try stay in a job. I do genuinely think if money wasn't a thing and I could just walk and go to the gym all the time I'd have no issues. I'm also convinced there is something genuinely illusory about this reality and we're all just so deeply invested we can't see how ridiculous we are. No one works together, people genuinely do want to use each other for their own benefit unless they are family or friends. It's like there's s circle of accepted people and I'm not in this circle so it's ok to treat me like a 2nd class citizen (not all people do but it's easy for me to tell who does view me this way and who doesn't).
I think alcohol has something to do with it because I'm nearly a year without any and this feeling is stronger than ever. I also only drink distilled water and have done for roughly a year so it could be fluoride or something, either way I guess I genuinely feel like I'm waking up but society is so sick that it's painful and everyone would like to convince me I'm the problem.
Does this sound like derealization? I'm pretty confident I don't have depersonalisation but does it sound like I'm experiencing psychotic symptoms or can people relate to this?
