Right side of my face and neck is swollen
Hello Everyone! I hope you all are having a great Tuesday morning because I am not, actually since last night I had a slightly swollen neck, and this morning I woke up looking like this!
Will give a little background to help understanding how I got here, last week I had a very bad cold, fever, sneezing, sore throat and the hole package of cold symptoms…
I am a 420 user on a daily basis, but in small portions… its been six months I stopped smoking and chose healthier ways to get high, like gummies or vaporing flower (not vape pen) the reason I chose that was because my throat and neck was getting swollen.. (since I stopped smoking my throat and neck got back to normal size)
Yesterday morning I was feeling great, recovering from last week cold, my voice was coming back and I was having way less symptoms, I decided to vaporize just a little bit of flowers to give me some a better energy as I was going to meet some family members.. it did help me with my voice and throat pain which is crazy but vaping flowers is way less harsh..
At night I got some leftovers from my family member I met who ate at Carmines restaurant (their foods are amazing by the way!) and also ate some more food I cooked for me and my husband, oh I also tried a new Heinz catchup with Habanero just a tiny bit because Im not a spicy food fan..
After 30 minutes from trying it I started feeling this discomfort from my face and neck, but it wasn’t swollen yet, just could feel my heartbeat on my face… fews hours I noticed the swollen..
Im counting the minutes to get 9/10am so I can my ENT doctor to schedule an appointment and I will also run a full blood test, because on my google search the results as USUAL were catastrophic lol 😩 it went a food allergy to HIV infection… as you noticed I am gay and I am not on Prep (because I am allergic to TRUVADA and I am waiting on the list to try a different version of Prep)
Based on your experience, what this could be? Right now I took a Benadryl and I am hoping for the best and hoping that its just an allergic reaction or Sinusitis… but it’s scary! I never experienced something like this… only when I had my wisdom teeth removed (I removed 4 at once so I didn’t have to deal with the pain twice) and that was expected, but now I dont have any pain, I just had my tooth cleaned last week before the cold started so teeth problem is out of question as a symptom..
Can anyone help me calm myself down? Im writing this post shaking.. I already dont see myself on the mirror as a handsome person because of bullys back in school but my therapist always told me if you have a symmetrical face or as closest as possible to that means people might find you attractive and I based myself care on that since I heard that, now this messes entirely with my symmetry and makes me looks like Shrek 😩 of course my look is the least of my problems at this moment but I want my normal face back 😞
HELP’
And Thank You for stopping by and read this post ❤️

Patrick talks to followers in condescending and manipulative manner solely aiming for sympathy the entire time. He also claims the reason he has been itching his stomach is from a Clonadine patch and not another body sore..who knows. Can’t trust a word that comes out of his mouth these days.
His main goal right now is monetary gifts. Look how many gifts he received in just..5 minutes or so. And for what? Dollar store brownies? The rest will go up his nose 👃 or worse. He is a predator and going to take these people for every penny they have. Vile monster.

Hey guys, I’m (19M) in Osaka with a friend right now and I have an extremely painful sore throat. It feels like my throat is on fire, and I have vomited a few times as well. Should I seek medical attention, and if so, how can I do so? My medicine has not been working, and I’m panicking a little.

2024.05.21 13:09 bonnybear How do I stop obsessing/being so hard on myself?

I apologize in advance if I phrase this weirdly, English is not my first language.
I (34F) went off birth control two months ago after being on it for about 2-2,5 years. I took slynd/slinda which is a progestin only pill, there are four placebo pills in every pack but I always skipped them since the goal was to not have a period at all. I haven’t been on any hormonal bc before them since I was 19 and didn’t plan to either but started taking these mostly for crippling hormonal migraines.
Now I’m stressing myself out TTC. I just got my regular period for the second time (since going off bc). Before the two normal periods I had a short withdrawal bleed. My cycle seems totally normal again(26-28 days, super positive opk:s around day 11-13). This cycle I hade some fertile cm and even felt the ovulation pain on my left side. I haven’t started measuring my BBT yet so I guess that’s the next step. The only thing that’s different from before bc is that my period seems much lighter and that my breasts feel super sore and swollen all the way from ovulation to the day before my period - never had that before.
Now I know it’s super early into my TTC journey but I can’t stay level headed in this despite my best efforts. I can’t stop beating myself up with thoughts of what I could possibly be doing wrong? Am I too old, is something wrong with me, why am I not pregnant even though I had sex every day for weeks, did taking bc mess me up in some way? I am desperate to know what is or isn’t happening inside my body. I’ve already wasted money on taking extra sensitive pregnancy tests from 8dpo and onwards and haven’t seen the faintest line.
I feel like I took my fertility for granted. I always had a regular cycle with very obvious signs of ovulation. I got pregnant by accident at age 27 (I am still with the same partner) and had a very early abortion without known complications and right now I’m spiraling into thoughts about how not getting pregnant now is my “punishment” for having an abortion then. I don’t want to think like that or become more obsessive about this.
I would be so grateful for any kind advice or similar experiences.

2024.05.21 12:42 londcncalling Desperate need of help - Norethisterone

Hello! So I bought Norethisterone from a pharmacy and started taking them yesterday (the 20th) as my period was expected on the 23rd. I took three throughout the day but during the night, after my third pill, I noticed that when I wiped there was some brown blood however it was more like spotting and it wasn’t liquid blood more than it was clumped blood. For reference, I always bleed liquid that is bright red on the first day and so I’m thinking it’s the Norethisterone that made it brown and thick.
Basically this is the second day of having this weird brown blood (no regular period blood yet) and I’m debating whether I should carry on with Norethisterone or if this is some sort of side effect from the medication? I have taken it before but this didn’t happen.. anyway I need to be period free for the 25th onwards as I’m travelling abroad so what would you do in this situation? I feel as if my period has already started because of the (sort of) blood and general soreness/cramps (although they’re not as bad as usual?) and my continued use of the pills may not be worth taking. Is there any warnings for taking it/not taking it and can anyone explain why my blood is so different this time around?
Thank you ever so much! Any advice or experiences are appreciated more than you know!

2024.05.21 12:25 ToughReward4211 I think i have rabies and im going insane

PLEASE HELP ME I hope you can be understanding of my problem, I need to tell someone what is happening to me. I hope this is just anxiety and a panick attack but I cant convince myself.
My cat is unvaccinated, i've been postponing vaccinating her against rabies for a while, exactly two weeks ago I let her go out in my yard and she came back with a bee sting on her chin, she has a little bump where the bee stung her. She is very playful and a little agressive at times so she bites and scartches me a lot.
She seems more vocal than usual in the morning, but that may be because we moved into a new appartment.
Anyways, sunday I started feeling wierd like im floating and Im very confused, i started having diarheea and nausea and feeling very axious thinking i got rabies from her. She doesnt foam at the mouth or salivate excessively, she seems fine, eats and drinks normally. But I cant stop feeling like I got rabies from her, I try to convince myself that she sould have gotten ill in those two weeks that have passed if she actually has rabies but my symptoms are only getting worse. I cant sleep well and Im very restless, when I lay down i feel like my body Is weightless, im very confused all day and now I think im getting a fever. Sould I go to the hospital?
I need to mention that a day before this all started, I engaged in drug consumption, I feel very ashamed saying this but I need to know if this is relevant. To be more exact, I was on a mephedrone bender for a day, just before this all started.
I also have a runny nose and a sore throat, maybe from the drugs. But its been almost 72 hours since i stopped, why do I feel like this? I keep convincing myself that i have rabies and i go into full blown panick attacks. Please help me

2024.05.21 12:02 Alert_Spring_6615 Can anyone shed some light on what this may be? White skin behind tonsils.

I've had a sore throat for 2-3 months now, on and off. When it started, I assumed strep bc my daughter had just gotten over it. I looked in the mirror with a flashlight and discovered these white areas.
I tested negative for strep but my doc treated me anyways. They didn't go away. I went back to the doc a month later (now a month ago) and he states the only time he's seen something like this was scar tissue from having tonsils removed. Put in an ENT referral, not on emergency, for "White abnormality on peritonsillar pillar."
My appointment is finally next Friday, the 31st, but wondering if this looks familiar to anyone? I have terrible health anxiety and it's consuming me thoughts 😞
It hasn't gotten worse, sore throat still, doesn't wipe away. I also believe I have gerd, and plan to talk to ENT about that next Friday . Not sure if they're related. 35yoF, previous light smoker, currently vapes, drinks occasionally.

2024.05.21 11:20 SlinkyMalinki108 Septum denting?

How do you know if your septum is denting? I'm at a 6g and have been for quite a few months, and I'd love to stretch up to my goal size of 4g but when I press on the bottom tip of my nose it is quite sore still. This pain can come and go. I do have a slightly smaller shaped nose and a relatively tight sweet spot from what I can tell. Also how long should I wait to stretch if it is denting?

2024.05.21 10:57 verite_404 Covid: Solstice, Alaska Dawes May 12th-19th

Is there an agency I should contact to report catching Covid on a cruise? Currently quarantined in a Hotel. I'm an idiot that didn't purchase out of country medical insurance. Antigen test is positive. I distinctly remember overhearing a conversation on a lift, someone's acquaintance wondered if they went to the medical bay for a covid test (I believe on the 4th or 5th night) would they get a refund for the cruise. There were no notifications about anyone testing positive. Light-headed, headache, sore-throat, lost voice. Contacting the consulate/embassy in the morning to see if they can give me directions on how to obtain Paxlovid here. Worried about the out of pocket costs. Again, I'm the idiot for not getting post cruise travel and medical insurance. Any information from anyone with experience would be greatly appreciated.

2024.05.21 09:51 MaisieXOX666 Should I go A&E for COVID now?

27 female UK - got dysautonomia (really bad heart symptoms) and gastroperisis (bad digestive symptoms) - 2 central nervous system disorders, from REALLY MILD COVID 2 years ago.
I've now been dealing with quite severe COVID for 7 days now. More than just cold symptoms. Arms going numb, visual hallucinations (I've never had these), in and out of fever like nightmare dreams, can't sleep for more than 6 hours, fever was 38.4 on the 6th day but not at the moment, conjunctivitis, headache that hasn't gone the whole time but was really severe day 3/4, teeth have killed for a week like all of them are so painful only co-dydramol is helping, can't stop blowing nose like 2 box of tissues in one day, cough becoming painful. Had worst sore throat, that's fine now though but has turned into painful cough, short of breath at times.
What's concerning me is the non-cold like symptoms, none of which my friend has. I.E conjunctivitis, arms going numb, hallucinations. Plus, the high fever so late into it on day 6. The fact I'm not getting better, wake up day 7 with conjunctivitis and friend has already completely cleared COVID, never got conjunctivitis or severe runny nose/headaches etc.
My friend caught it same time, and at day 5 she was better, no signs of it now - at day 7 I'm just getting worse. She had it much milder than me from the start, but we caught it at the same place the same night, fell ill the same day a few days after, but she likened it to a cold whereas I feel like it's literally attacking most parts of me, going deeper than a usual cold. Her teeth never hurt, she never got numb arms, or anything. I've done a lot more to get better, she was eating fish and chips, drinking alcohol, not taking vitamins, and she's fine now. Ive been eating mostly just fruit and veg, drinking electrolytes with vitamins in, zinc lozenges every 5 hours, taking 3 different vitamins throughout the day, tumeric tea, ginger shots, vaporrub on chest etc (for nose and head). And I'm actually getting WORSE on day 7.

2024.05.21 09:44 Some_Flower_6471 Can nose bleeding be considered calibration?

I quit drinking alcohol about 4 months ago and ever since some misterious symptoms dissapeared, and other misterious events appear from time to time. Nose bleeding - once, this morning,, but pretty strong. My nose never bled, ever since I remember. But I also drank ever since I remember, so is it possible now that my body is going to default factory settings and systems test each other like this?

2024.05.21 08:55 Leaving4Living Allergic reaction after having Creatine and Whey Protein for the first time.

I (20M, 5'5", 122 lbs) had 16g of MuscleBlaze's Raw Whey Protein before sleep and woke up with a mild sore throat the next morning. I didn't think much of it and continued to take 5g of creatine monohydrate. Nothing happened immediately, so I took another dose of 5g after 4 hours.
After a few hours, I felt fullness or pressure in my ears and a scratchy, sore feeling at the back of my throat. It was mild. When I slept that night, I experienced headaches, body weakness, and fluctuating sensations of cold and heat. When I woke up, I felt fine except for a mild throat pain. I proceeded to take another 5g of creatine.
Later that day, I started having mild pain in my throat again when swallowing. I also felt pain when I touched the right side of my neck area under my ear.
Context: When I eat anything that has butter, ghee, mayonnaise, or certain oils like palm oil, I sneeze 10-12 times almost continuously the next day. This has been happening for the past 4 years. Sometimes, this also happens with bananas.

🔗Echinacea Goldenseal Immune Support Herbal Tonic

Echinacea Goldenseal Supreme 2 oz by Gaia Herbs has become a staple in my home during the cold and flu season. The herbal blending is potent and effective in providing a significant boost to the immune system. The taste is definitely on the earthy side, but it's a small price to pay for not having to endure a full-blown cold.
I particularly like the liquid format of this product. It's easy to take a dropper full whenever I feel the first signs of a cold or flu coming on. The swift action of this tincture has helped me stave off many would-be illnesses. Plus, it's easy to mix into my tea, making it even more palatable.
Gaia Herbs has a reputation for producing high-quality products and their customer support is top-notch. However, one downside to this tincture is the serving size. Six dropper fulls four to six times a day can be quite a chore, especially for those who are not fond of the taste. Nonetheless, I would recommend this product, especially if you're looking for a natural and potent way to manage colds and flu. Just be prepared to commit to multiple servings daily.

🔗Goldenseal Root Extract Capsules for Immunity Support and Digestive Aid by Herbamama

https://preview.redd.it/o19urff56q1d1.jpg?width=720&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=a82a6f3dd86d7d6de35c6393e82a58437037032e
As someone who's been using Herbamama Goldenseal Root Extract Supplement for a few weeks now, I can say it's a game-changer. I've been struggling with digestion issues and occasional UTIs, and this little capsule has been my savior. Goldenseal is known for its anti-inflammatory properties, which makes it perfect for soothing away tummy troubles.
One of the things that really impressed me about this supplement is the potency. Each capsule contains 700mg of pure goldenseal root extract, which definitely packs a punch when it comes to relieving my symptoms. Plus, the capsules are really easy to swallow and don't leave a horrible aftertaste in your mouth like some supplements do.
On the downside, I have had to take more than the recommended dose in order to see results, but that's probably just because my body is used to getting a stronger dose at the doctor's office. Overall, I'm really happy with this product and would recommend it to anyone looking for a natural way to help with digestion issues, UTIs, or other respiratory issues.
The only real downside is that it's not a permanent solution, but for short-term relief, Herbamama Goldenseal Root Extract Supplement is definitely worth a try.

🔗Organic Gotu Kola Energy & Focus Supplement

https://preview.redd.it/0omqwkr56q1d1.jpg?width=720&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=9e88e394a795f972ed4ad1a199684fa3aecbd32d
As a long-time user of Himalaya Organic Gotu Kola, let me tell you, I've seen a significant improvement in my energy levels and memory since incorporating these caplets into my daily routine. I no longer feel sluggish during the day and my brain feels like it's firing on all cylinders. Plus, the fact that these are made with organic ingredients, are gluten-free, and vegan-friendly, well, it's just an added bonus.
However, I will say that the taste isn't the best. It has a very earthy flavour that can be quite strong. But don't worry, because the aftertaste isn't very noticeable. Overall, I would recommend giving these a try if you're looking for a little boost in your day. Highly recommended!

🔗Organic Echinacea Goldenseal Immune Support

As an avid user of natural remedies, I can't help but gush about Oregon's Wild Harvest Organic Orange Echinacea Goldenseal Glycerite. This little bottle of herbal goodness has become my go-to for when I know a cold might be brewing.
The first thing that stands out to me is the delicious orange flavor. Unlike other Echinacea and Goldenseal products, there's no lingering alcohol taste, making it much more palatable. Plus, it's certified organic and GMO-free which gives me peace of mind.
Its benefits are astounding. Not only does this product boost my immunity, but it also soothes my respiratory system, making it easier for me to breathe during allergy season or when I'm feeling under the weather.
However, no product is perfect. The serving size is quite small - just 1mL - so you might find yourself going through it faster than expected. But honestly, that's a small price to pay for such powerful relief.
All in all, I can't recommend this product enough. It's become a staple in my medicine cabinet and a reliable ally during times of illness.

🔗Sana Life Collagen & Greens Powder - Multi Collagen Supplement for Skin, Hair, Nails, Gut Health - 30 Servings, Unflavored

https://preview.redd.it/juooxqh66q1d1.jpg?width=720&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=5d7b152deef4cafbcf060b19ed06bc5a0277df6f
I recently added Sana Life's Collagen & Greens Powder to my morning routine, and I'm absolutely hooked. Before, I dreaded drinking greens powders, but Sana has changed the game. The taste is truly unmatched. It's like drinking a fruity juice, but with the added benefits of collagen and hyaluronic acid - it's like a magical beauty potion in a bottle.
One of the best things about this product is how versatile it is. I can mix it into my morning smoothie, or even just with water, and it still tastes amazing. Additionally, I've noticed a difference in my hair and skin since starting this supplement. My hair feels stronger and my skin looks healthier. Plus, it supports gut health, which is always a bonus.
However, not everything is perfect with this product. The unflavored version, while still being quite good, could use some improvement in terms of taste. Some users mention that they can taste something off, which can be off-putting.
Overall, Sana Life's Collagen & Greens Powder has been a game-changer in my daily routine. It's a quick and easy way to get a boost of nutrients, and I look forward to seeing the long-term benefits. 2024.05.21 08:30 Otherwise_Pool_5712 Successful removal of cat dander?

I have chronic asthma and a pretty severe asthmatic reaction to cat dander. My bronchial tubes close off and I end up in the ER. I have all the other usual allergic reactions, too: my eyes water, itch, and swell up, sinuses swell, runny nose, itchy throat, coughing, bruxism, etc.
I take Montelukast, I have a rescue inhaler and I use a nebulizer three times a day.
I haven't owned a vehicle in years. I have a chance to borrow an older vehicle indefinitely which would be a huge improvement in my quality of life but the owners have several cats.
Is there any way of cleaning the cat dander out of the interior of a vehicle? Obviously a regular detailing won't do it.
My guess is it's impossible. You'd have to replace the carpeting and headliner (which I can't afford) and I don't know how you'd get it out of the seats and vents.
This opportunity won't come again so I thought I'd at least ask.
