2024.05.16 07:47 citadel223 [H] 40k WORLD EATERS, SALAMANDERS, TERRAIN, LAST WAR, SKIRMISH MODELS [W] Paypal, Horus Heresy, Mats and Boards, Skirmish books and models [Loc] Southeast Florida, USA

Hi all! I'm back finally after a year!
I have a good lot for sale and/or trade today.
I'm primarily looking to sell but I'm also open for trades. I'm very interested in Horus Heresy (especially the starter, I want to get started in it). l also want skirmish games rulebooks/minis, play mats or boards, historical minis, and board games(solo playable and dark fantasy themed ones especially). I'm open minded though so feel free to shoot any other ideas you may have for trades and/or buys. I give a discount if you buy an entire army.
I will update the list as to what is sold as sales/trades are made.
Here are pictures of what's available:
https://imgur.com/a/gmhpH2U
Here is my karma thread:
https://www.reddit.com/MiniSwapKarma/comments/odfsdcitadel223_miniswap_karma_thread/
Here's what I have:
40k:
WORLD EATERS army and CHAOS UNDIVIDED. These are all official models but the Terminators are odd and cool conversions. Some of the models are painted, others aren't. See pictures for reference(same goes for everything else on the list). Most are spray painted red
SALAMANDERS army. These were mostly made from pushfit models and custom made with Salamanders bits. Two of the characters are recast, and 3 of the aggressors are, the rest are official models. I would prefer to sell these as one lot instead of splitting
LAST WAR:
SKIRMISH / MISCELLANEOUS MINIS:
TERRAIN:

2024.05.14 09:51 86catalin My Review - Hoping for Better story DLC

I just finished the campaign and had a few multiplayer matches. This is my review, please be advised spoilers below.
Story / Campaign:
I started playing on medium dificulty, didn't want to rush through the story, but not make it a struggle either. The campaign starts with the Mothership emergency launch, after something managed to weaponize hyperspace. This really set the mood right, so off i went through the campaign and managed to finish it in 6 hours which was a disappointment in itself. I wanted more, it can't feel like an epic journey if you just go through it. Resources are plenty, so most of the time i just threw everything at the enemy. Only later missions require some planning and careful tactics. I missed the careful planning i had to do in Homeworld 1 and the feeling that every ship is important - repairing and docking damaged ships. In Homeworld 3 if you loose ships, it's okay, the resources are there. Also it feels like you are in a nonstop rush (lorewise it makes sense) to achieve the objectives. Otherwise i like the diverse missions that the megaliths / terrain can provide. Sometimes it feels clunky, yes, and i would have loved a few missions in open space, after all this is the void, but the campaign gameplay, while short, is good.
The story and the universe in itself is a huge disappointment. We're basically left with the Hiigaran and Incarnate factions alone. The Kalan Raiders are present for 2 missions and you forget about them quickly. No Bentusi, no Taiidan, no Vagyr and no Progenitor - we swim in Progenitor megaliths yet not one ship or stations active: no Keepers, no Movers. Considering the gates colonised space and this was a Galactic threat there would have been plenty of opotunities to introduce some allies and other factions. Instead it's just you and the Incarnate. No explanation to who built the Planet Killers, no real connection to the galaxy you are trying to save. Homeworld 1 gave you the feeling of a living universe, that things happened behind the scenes. I remember arriving at Karos and being amazed at the old destroyed ships and the story behind them, the junkyard dog.
Cataclysm as well made you feel small in this galaxy of Big Bads and you had to deal with a literal monster. While it introduced no new races (ships), it expanded those in Homeworld 1, gave context and made the Bentusi even more mysterious and alien.
Homeworld 2 focused on the Cores, so does Homeworld 3, the magical hyperspace cores, which seem to activate everything in this galaxy - far jumping, Sajuuk, Eye of Aaran, the Pro Plus mode of the Hyperspace Network. The main villain of Homeworld 3 makes no sense, if she seeks the Cores, she could have done so earlier, especially with that tech behind her. Since this is focused on Hyperspace it could have been a good idea to have a Beast cameo at least.
The ending is just as lame as the rest of the story: Karan and the Queen being together in Hyperspace afterlife or whatever - The queen killed billions just because (the story doesn't show why and how it would have helped her plans) and yet Karan will be with her together. Come on.
Also if there will be expansions (i hope they will), can we please stop with the Prophecies and magical artifacts? Let's go to HW1 style politics game. Depending on how far the Khar-Kushan is from Hiigara, a good story might be the way back - since the gates are down and they have no far-jumping cores. Maybe implement branches of alliances with different factions. Bring Back T-mat.
Graphics and Audio
Amazing. Simply put amazing. You are in the middle of the battles, battle chatter, weapon sounds, ships exploding everything on point. The asteroid mission and the volumetric lightning made it 10x better than it actually is. Love it!
Gameplay
While clearly i hated the campaign story, i enjoyed going through it gameplay wise, especially the later levels where you had to plan and use ships wisely. Some bugs yes, where you have to insist with the orders, as ships refuse to aknowledge them, but overall i am happy. At least in large battles you have Interceptors as cannon fodder, cloaked bombers to surprise a high value target, frigates are there to hold the mainlines or snipe from afar, along with destroyers, while battlecruisers dominate the battlefield. I find no ships overpowered (the BCs seemed a bit too much in HW2). Not much on the corvette side (maybe they wanted to limit the strikecraft count), just Railgun Corvettes - which are like corvette bombers - the ace in the sleeve - but often they are a one time use only.
Multiplayer-wise the maps seem too small for skirmishes, it's just so easy to rush. The megaliths do provide some interesting takes, but also make things clunky when your ships choose to go the other way around.
War Games i like so far although it is heavily dependent on your crew. Wait a bit too much and those destroyers will send you after Karan. Also the artefacts should be able to be selectable before starting - otherwise it may be just luck that guides you through.
Conclusion
Minus the story (which is an important part for HW and for me) this is a good game. I can't wait to see what the modding community will do - imagine skirmishes with all those races - Kushan, Taiidan , HW2 Hiigaran and Vagyr, HW3 Hiigaran and Incarnate - and others. In epic space battles!

2024.05.06 08:43 faksyfak1 Scam alert

I was requested to make a separate post for this. Recently, we have observed a lot of people falling for scams which have similar pattern. On noticing this, I created an alert message and forwarded that to my contacts and groups. Even if this message saves one person from a scam, it is worth it IMO. Below is the message. Please feel free to forward, specially to groups with senior citizens who tend to fall for this comparatively easily. This is intentionally in hinglish for better reach. Thanks,
Dear Friends,
Aaj kal kuch bohot common aur dangerous online scams chal rahe hain jiske liye sabko satark karna zaroori hai. In scams se savdhaan rahen or doosron ko bhi savdhaan karen.
  1. Telegram scam: Is scam me aapko whatsapp ya doosre social media platforms par kuch log contact karenge. Yeh appko ek scheme bataenge jisme aapko kuch videos or links ko like karna hai jiske badle aapko woh paise denge. Start me woh aapka wishwas jitne ke liye kuch paise denge bhi. Kuch din baad woh aapko ek telegram group join karne ko kahenge jisme aapko 5x ya 10x returns ka wada karenge. Yeh fraud hai. Aapke paise wapas karne ke liye woh aapse aur paise mangege aur aapka paisa kabhi wapas nahin hoga. Savdhaan rahen.
  2. DHL/Courier scam: Is scam me aapko koi call karega aur khud ko DHL/Courier company ka employee batayega. Is scam ke chances zyada hain agar aapne recently courier service use ki hai. Woh kahenge ke aapke parcel me kuch illegal cheez mili hai aur aapko police se contact karna hai. Phir woh call kisi aur ko transfer karega jo khud ko police officer batayega. Yeh aapse outside settlement karne ki koshish karenge. Yeh fraud hai. Agar aapne koi parcel bheja hai, to directly courier company ki website pe yah official phone number per contact karke enquiry kijiye.
  3. MurdeRape charges scam: Is scam me aapko koi call karega aur khud ko police officer batayega. Woh kahega ke aapka koi relative (generally beta, bhai wagera) rape ke charges me arrest hua hai. Aapko outside settlement karne ki koshish karega. Aapko convince karne ke liye woh aapke bete/bhai ka naam bhi batayega aur ho sakta hai ke address bhi. Yeh sab details ye log leaked data se collect karte hain. Yeh fraud hai.
Aapko aisa koi bhi call aaye to turant phone kaat dijiye. KOI bhi personal details share mat kijiye. Agar aapko shak hai to turant nazdiki police station ya cyber crime cell me personally contact kijiye.
Kuch baaten dhyan rakhen:
Savdhaan rahen. Janhit me jari.

Swapping interiors fully?
I have a 2005 sr5 v8 4wd that has been my daily drive for a few years now and recently came across a 2005 limited v8 4wd with a blown head gasket and frame damage on marketplace because the interior is 10x nicer than my cloth seats, matted floor and fraying headliner. I was wondering if anyone knew if I'd run into any complications when fully swapping the cars interiors (wiring harnesses included) First 2 pictures are the 2005 sr5 4wd v8(current daily) Last 2 pictures are the 2005 limited 4wd v8(currently removed the interior to clean it)

2024.04.30 02:27 Reasonable_Owl366 Prints prices for photography vs other arts

I just attended a mid tier art fair (2 day festival at a major city) and it appeared to me that prints from photographers were priced quite a bit higher than reproduction prints from other artists. E.g. a matted 8x10 photo might be $40+ whereas you could get a much bigger print from other artists at that price say 16x20 to poster sized. It's not true in every case of course but it seemed like a trend to me.
Is this something that others have noticed as well? And if so why might this be the case? If true what has caused photo prints to be higher priced?
(Note I'll use the term artist to refer to a non photography artist for clarity)
Is it the lack of a unique original which oftens goes for much more than a photo of the same size (2-10x). So photogs have to charge more for prints? A deliberate pricing strategy by artists to get more customers at a lower price point who will eventually buy originals? The fact that an original exists depressing prices for artist reproductions (i.e. the customer know there is something much better). More competition from other artists resulting in lower prices? Higher production costs for photo prints? A result of historical pricing differences and cost of production? Artists willing to starve more?

2024.04.27 03:41 Rylanrayne Sitting at the emergency vet for 3 hours. getting anxious with no answers so now i’m here.

Background: adopted my newest kitten April 12th from humane society. he was feral and found downtown in some bushes, he’s estimated at around 5 months old. he was found with a huge amount of matting, fleas, ticks, and had an upper respitory infection.
at the time of his adoption i was told his URI cleared up and that he had no more ticks, fleas, and has had all of his shots and vaccines. his matting was still an issue but they shaved the worst of them out around his neck area.
first week i had him i managed to get the matting out, and he seemed good. i have another cat who also had a URI, and her symptoms cleared right up. his? came back 10x.
i bought from the local pet store something called HomeoPet Sinus+ to try and clear up his sinuses a little. i bought this two days ago and have been dosing him per the instructions.
now at the vet waiting for the doctor, the initial nurse came in and took his temp. both his ear and rectal temp are high. he currently cannot breathe through his nose and has been panting like crazy. as soon as i saw him after coming home from work i rushed him here. nurse person noted how he can’t breathe and has been panting, and too his temps and like i stated they were high. now we are waiting. his breathing sounds like he is snoring or snorting like a pig. he alternates between trying to choke through the gunk or panting through his nose.
i was with the understanding URI’s are contagious within other cats, however my other cat hasn’t shown any symptoms and they have been together since his adoption, so i’m unsure on if it’s his URI coming back worse.
he has red/brown discharge from his eyes and nose, except his nose discharge is also yellow-ey.
i believe he might be having diarrhea but i’m not 100% because the litter i have clumps and covers everything up. but it smells worse than usual if that makes sense.
i’m just tired of sitting here waiting for answers, so instead i’m asking y’all because i’m way too anxious.

2024.04.26 18:33 CarrotSlices Advice for covering 248 square feet of carpet?

Hi, first time poster. Please go easy on me.
I’ll be moving into an apartment that has treated concrete flooring throughout—other than the bedroom and closet, which are getting brand new medium pile carpet installed. The problem is that I have a senior cat who has accidents. He’s perfectly healthy, just likes to pee, unfortunately.
I want to avoid this issue. What would be the cheapest way to cover a 12x16 ft and 7x8 ft space? I looked into PVC carpet protector but it’s outside of my budget.
EDIT: Okay, so I’m leaning towards puzzle mats. Thanks for the suggestions, everyone. I’m on the hunt for tiles that are the cheapest possible per square foot now.

Just Starting out - Help appreciated
Hello people of Warhammer, so long story short, I've been wanting to get into this hobby for years, and finally decided to take the leap. I looked around a bit and came accross the adeptus mechanicus, and I'm dead set on getting an army from them now. Now I need help with what I actually need to do prior to playing the game.
I was looking at purchasing some models from the GW website but decided they were much too expensive, so I then went over to some of the third party websites e.g. waylandgames. But I found those were also too expensive, after some searching on ebay, I found someone in my "local area" selling their own army which amounted to roughly 2k points for the short sum of £400, whereas normally it would have come to 800 ish I believe. For people interested, heres the exact units included in that purchase:

  • 1xSkitarri Marshal 1 painted, 1 built/sprayed, 1 NOS
  • 1xManipulus painted
  • 1xDominus built/sprayed
  • 1xBelasarius Cawl half painted
  • 1xenginseer built/painted
  • 20xrangers 10 painted 10 built
  • 20xvanguard built/sprayed
  • 3xkataphron breachers
  • 3xkataphron destroyers
  • 3xSulpherhounds 2painted 1 built/sprayed
  • 5xRuststalkers
  • 10xSterylizors half painted
  • 3xIronstrider Ballistari lascannons built/sprayed
  • 2xDunecrawler magnetised 1 painted 1 built/sprayed
  • 2xkastalan robots w/ 1x data smith
  • 20 Admech dice
So far, this has been the easiest part. Now I am struggling with everything else lol. Or more specifically, the painting and whatnot part. I have not previously had a hobby that required painting, cutting or whatnot that this requires. As such, I have done all I can with my limited knowledge to create a list of items on Amazon that I should purchase once I have the army in my posession.
You can find said list in the form of a wishlist so all can view it Here
For those of you that don't want to view the list, I'll give a brief summary of the contents here:

  • Plastic Primer
  • Art Knife
  • Cutting mat
  • Acrylic Paints & Paint Wash
  • Plastic & Super Glue
  • Green stuff & Magnets
  • Paint palete
  • Snips
  • Model holder
  • Some form of paint holder
All in all, I just want peoples opinion on whether I have the right idea and the right things to do this without any additional hassle. Also, see attached image for the army that I am procuring.
Thanks for reading, it is much appreciated, please enjoy the rest of your day.

2024.04.20 08:20 VonZiegler Relic Hunter Hard-core Combat Only Speed Run Guide - Part 7 - The Volcanic Cave, the Infernal Stronghold and the 4 gods

This is part 7 to my Relic Hunter Hard-core Combat Only Speed Run Guide. This guide loosely follows the Official Wiki's HCCO/Guide but due to the level caps, some further prep work and order is slightly different.
Part 7 of this guide will get you through the Volcanic Cave, the Infernal Stronghold, Water God, Air God, Earth God Dungeon, Fire God Dungeons. I went away for work for a week while I completed these 6 dungeons, and took notes as best as I could, but I apologise if some of the details are a bit more lacking than the previous parts.
You should have most of your relics unlocked at this point, however this is pure RNG chance, same as your combat pets. However, going forward from here, I will assume you at least have Leonardo and Finn, the Cat found, giving us an extra 1% DR and 10hp, along with Defence relic 5 for another 3% DR and Health Relic 5 for another 50hp. This makes our max hp pool at now 560.
The following dungeon pets give you combat passives and are farmable should definitely be unlocked:
  1. Chick) (+1% accuracy rating) is farmed from the Chicken Coop,
  2. Chio (+2% Ranged Maximum Hit) is farmed from the Bandit Base
  3. Bouncing Bob (+2% Magic max hit) is farmed from the Hall of Wizards
At this point you should have all combat skills at lvl50 and 560HP with level 55 unlocked from the Dragons Den. Auto Eat 3 is a must by this point, and 2x Extra Equipment Sets and Dungeon Equipment Swapping unlocked from the shop. You should also ideally have 3 full load outs for Melee, Ranged and Magic:
There is a Volcanic Cave/Guide on the official wiki but unfortunately, we don't have non-combat skills to provide us with most of the equipment required, nor the ability to level up HP more than 550 at this point as we are level capped. The Volcanic Cave's enemies uses a full rotation of all three combat styles we will only be using Melee to clear it as the magic enemies arn't that difficult and our melee loadout provides us the most amount of DR% even with the ranged combat triangle.
Lets get started:
  1. As always, grind out your combat levels across the board to lvl 55.
  2. Once we complete the cave for the first time, we will eventually need to farm it a lot in order to get our Ancient Helmet, Shield, Platelegs, Platebody. We will also pick up and use Dragon Platebody and Platelegs (one of them luckily drops on your first run) as these can be equipped at 60 and are our only armour upgrades until lvl 70 when we can equip Ancient. To upgrade all these shiny pieces we will need a total of 7600 silver bars, 13k gold bars and 7.5mil. Any idling for slayer coins or gold, should be done farming Statues.
    1. At this stage in the journey, I'm farm around 700-750 gold bars/hr and 900-1000 silver bars/hr. Currency rate is about 70-75k slayer coins from them using SEMI Auto Slayer and about 600-700k/hr gold. Thankfully, these are the last gold/silver bars you need to farm!
  3. We also need to complete the dungeon 100x to unlock the Infernal Stronghold.
  4. Other than farming statues, while in the Penumbra slayer area and kill Fierce Devils to farm out 10x Amulet of Torture. You will also want to start going back and grinding out materials to make at least 2x elite amulets of each type so you can make FEZ.
    1. I spent the time and made one for each loadout
    2. I think most people normally only use FEZ for Magic, but we are in relic mode and I found FEZ the best for the DR and stats in farming god dungeons and prepping for Mists vs the benefits of dungeon ammys such as crit damage from Deadeye Amulet
    3. For me it was too much of a pain to keep swapping the equipment, and I just logged in once every few hrs and changed monster. With the super small attack intervals this was a really easy process to farm all the mats especially if you do it over the course of getting here.
  5. For the first run to give us some much-needed DR% we can repurpose our Skull Cape from our magic load out to give us +3% DR at the cost of -10 attack bonuses across the board and -8 strength bonuses. Since the boss Malcs can do a whooping 2x 520 damage attack we are going to need all the DR we can get. The attack is avoidable, so we are going to stack as much bonus Defence as possible. Equipping Protect from Melee will give us a much needed 80% chance to dodge melee attacks and Steel Skin prayers for an extra 25% evasion.
  6. Good rule to follow is as soon as you take any damage from Malc's claw attack or dragon breath attack, eat. Make sure you backup your save prior to entering, as if you have bad RNG and get hit with both attacks you're dead. Make sure you backup your save, and Good Luck!
  7. On finishing the first run of the dungeon, your skill cap is now level 60, and you will have received a new Fire Cape given is a guaranteed drop for each run. Go ahead and equip it and grind out your skills to level 60. Equipping the cape will sacrifice 1%DR in exchange for getting your accuracy back that you sacrificed to wear the skull cape.
Starting with the god dungeons, bosses now apply Stun and Freeze debuffs. While stunned or frozen you take an extra 30% damage. If you have managed to unlock all 5 Health relics, the master relic will reduce your damage taken stun and freeze by 30% negating the extra damage from the debuff. I am going to write the god dungeons sections as if the master relic has not been unlocked in case those following haven't been lucky enough to find all 5.
The Air God Dungeon
  1. Now that we have killed Malcs, go back and grind out your skill out to level 60. If you were lucky to get a piece of dragon armour, upgrade it and equip it.
  2. Rather than going back into the Volcanic cave straight away and tempt the fates of RNG against Malcs, instead head over to the Air God Dungeon. Other than equipping your new fire cape, swap out your Protect from Melee for Protect from Ranged and you're good to go.
  3. The God Dungeons work a little differently to previous dungeons in that you have 5 'floors' of the dungeon, with several monsters on each floor. Most monsters in the air dungeon will hit for around 260-280 damage in the first few floors, then 300+ in the floors above. With 600HP you can take around 1-2 hits so as usual heal as soon as you take damage. The boss Aeris has several special attacks so familiarise yourself with them before hand, but the amount of DR we have in melee, most of these become manageable if you heal right away.
  4. If you're lucky to get an Aeris God Gloves drop, swap these out with your Paladin Gloves in your melee loadout. You will lose 8 points of strength bonus but will gain 12 Defence and +3DR% in exchange.
The Water God Dungeon
  1. Level 65 is now unlocked, so back to the grind. Between the time between levels is getting a bit longer now but you should be able to safely idle away slayer tasks to make some coin, gain xp and buy more food. Our max hp now will be 710.
  2. The Water God Dungeon is predominantly a magic enemy dungeon, with two melee type enemies mixed in so we will use melee to clear those, and otherwise we will be using ranged to clear this one.
  3. We can pick up a few upgrades for our ranged load out so head to the Spider Forest and pick up some Red D-hide Body, Chaps, and Vambraces. These can be trimmed for 100k each and 200x Red Dragonhide which is purchasable from shop at a cost of 2 leather and 350 gold a piece. Pretty cheap compared to our melee counterparts!
  4. Next head to the Elerine Battlegrounds and kill some Elerine Archers for a Elerine Longbow.
  5. Now drop back into the Volcanic caves for 1x more run using melee and pick up a second Fire cap for your ranged loadout.
  6. Now we are ready to head in. Use the same melee load out as the Volcanic Caves earlier. For ranged, equip your new red d-hide trimmed armour, your new bow and cape. Prayers you want Protect from Magic and Eagle Eye. Equip the highest tier arrows you have making sure the quantity in your quiver will be enough to get you through as you wont have alot of time to swap and stay alive. Dragon Arrows are the current highest ranked arrow you can equip, but the drop chances are pretty low with the best drop chance being Turkul Generals in the Arid Plains for 1.77%. These guys will also drop Rune Arrows for a 19.91% chance which are slightly better than ice arrows. Backup your save and let's go.
  7. The Water dungeon uses the floor system again as follows:
    1. Floor 1 all magic
    2. Floor 2 all melee. Keep track of the number of enemies and swap to ranged just as you kill the last enemy.
    3. Floor 3 are magic golems hit HARD at 440+ damage. If you haven't swapped loadouts you will know about it.
    4. Floor 4 consists of two mini bosses, mini boss 1 is Lissia a magic monster and again can do 440+ damage with special attacks. Mini boss 2 is Murtia who is melee and shouldn't be too hard against your melee loadout. Again make sure to swap from magic to ranged as soon as you kill the mini boss ready for Glacia
    5. Glacia has a 20% chance to do a special attack called Flash Freeze that can freeze you for 2 turns. While frozen, can cause you to take an additional 30% damage. Winterland (15% chance) is another special attack that will slow for 20% attack interval for 3 turns, if slowed already and its cast again will cast a normal attack (the only time she will) for 1-777 dmg. If Glacia can sequence it so she casts Winterland, then flash freeze, then winterland, her max hit will jump from 777 to 1014 damage due to the freeze damage. You're DR for your ranged load out and combat triangle buff will be 30%, making her max hit 709 damage. This means theoretically she can't 1 shot us (even if she did max damage due to our max hp pool being 710.
  8. Good Luck!
The Earth God Dungeon
  1. Level 70 is finally unlocked. Here we can have some decent gear upgrades across the board.
    1. If you haven't got them from farming out Bouncing Bob, head to the Hall of Wizards and farm out your Ancient Wizard Robes pieces and equiping them as you go.
    2. If you haven't got them from farming red d-hide armour head back to the Spider Forest and pick up some Black D-hide Body, Chaps, & Vambraces. Trim them with 250 Black Dragonhide each, collected from killing Black Dragons down in the Dragon Valley.
    3. While upgrading your ranged loadout, collect an Ancient Longbow from the Bandit Base.
    4. For melee, our only upgrade is picking up an Ancient Sword or Sunset Rapier from the pirates aboard the Deep Sea Ship. Sunset rapier is a nice DPS boost applying a bleed dot for 200% weapon damage dealt over 10s, and the Ancient Sword gives a 100% chance to life steal 20% of the damage dealt which will almost negate the need to eat food while farming. Both great weapons.
    5. With Slayer level 70, the Desolate Plains opens up to us, so head in and kill Seething Horned Elites for 10x Amulet of Fury. These should be your last materials needed to make your FEZ. If you only are only going to farm one FEZ, swap it between load outs to which ever loadout will be the primary style for the dungeon you're heading into.
  2. Completing the earth dungeon at this point is pretty easy. The boss, Terran has a similar damage increasing sequencing similar to Glacia, in which he stuns using Charge (25% chance) for 1 turn, then uses Boulder (20% chance) which normally hits for 850 but due to the 30% increase, his max damage will be 1235 due to it being a special attack and not a damage range (e.g. 1-850). Boulder is also unavoidable.
  3. With full ancient wizard robes (20%DR), pally gloves (4%DR), silver diamond ring (1%DR), FEZ (3%DR), skull cape (3%DR), Leonardo (1%DR), Defence relic 5 (3%DR) it brings your total DR to 35%. With combat triangle bonus, 35*1.25 = 43.75. rounded down, 1235 * 0.57 is 703.95. With lvl 70 hp, finn the cat, and hp relic 5, our total hp pool is 760. Well within safety of being 1 shotted.
  4. Use melee to take out the ranged enemies in the first floor then use magic the rest of the way through. Use the Mystic Might and Protect from Melee prayers and you shouldn't have any issues. Don't forget to backup your save though, and Good Luck!
Back to the Volcanic Cave
  1. With Terran killed, level 75 is unlocked. Fire God is a little bit out of reach for our ranged load out. Instead we are going back to the Volcanic cave now that we are 20 levels stronger!
  2. Swap your FEZ over to your Melee loadout. You should also still have full gold trimmed Rune armour and shield, a fire cape, and a silver diamond ring. For your weapon you should now be wielding a sunset rapier or ancient sword. This loadout along with leo and relics will give you 40% DR and 810 HP, allowing you to safely idle the volcanic cave.
  3. You can now also use the Chivalry prayer. If you have been unlucky and haven't managed to secure Defence relic 5, you will fall short just short of being able to idle the cave with 37% DR. In this instance use the Safeguard prayer to give you an extra 1% DR to get you safely over the line.
  4. We want to now idle the cave at least 100x to unlock the Infernal Stronghold. Additionally, we want to farm our 4 ancient armour pieces, upgrading and equipping them along the way. If you can get the Mac pet while here, he will give you a nice 1% damage boost to slayer monsters to help your farming along the way.
  5. An overnight idle of the dungeon managed to net me all 4 pieces.
  6. Our Gold trimmed Ancient Shield_Ancient_Shield) can actually be upgraded once more using 7500 Dragon Bones. Back to the Dragon Valley and kill 7500 Green Dragons for 7500 bones. Once upgraded to the Dragonfire Shield, it will boost your hp by 30 points (now 840 while equipped) and you will take 30% less damage from dragon breath attacks.
The Infernal Stronghold
  1. With your new Gold Trimmed Ancient Plate Armour_Ancient_Platebody) and dragonfire shield equipped along with the same loadout for the other pieces your total DR should be 49% (leo and relic included). Unfortunately, even with this amount of DR the strong hold isn't idleable just yet.
  2. Malcs, the Leader of Dragons max hit is 898 if you are stunned. With 49% DR that's now a safe 458 clearing us of one-shot death but still well exceeds our auto eat threshold.
  3. The dungeon has enemies using all 3 styles, but we are going to smash our way through using just melee. Enable your Protect from Melee and Chivalry prayers, backup your save and go on in.
The Fire God Dungeon
  1. With level 80 unlocked, you can now equip Ancient D-hide armour for ranged. If you havent already done so, head to the Dragons Den and farm out the body, pants, vambraces, shield and ancient crossbow. Upgrade these using the Elder Dragonhide that also drops from the same checks. If you can unlock Harley while you're there for an 1% damage to combat area monsters.
  2. From there, head to the Toxic Swamps slayer are and kill Noxious Serpents for 100x Poison Scales to upgrade your new dhide shield again. In addition to an extra 2%DR over the upgraded dhide shield it gives your a 10% chance to apply poison when hit.
  3. Much like the Volcanic caves, the infernal stronghold drops a new cape on each completion, the Infernal Cape with a nice 4% DR
  4. Unfortunately, we are still stuck with ice helm and boots, but we have enough DR to make up for it (42%!). We want, Ice helm and boots, trimmed Ancient dhide chest, pants and vambraces, infernal cape, FEZ, silver diamond ring and ancient crossbow for our load out. Prayers we want Protect from Magic and Sharp Vision enabled.
  5. We are now ready for the fire god dungeon. The boss Ragnar is a magic monster perfect to match against our new weapons and Armour. Equip the highest-level bolts you have, Ruby Bolts if you have been buying Generous Resupplies from the shop. Swap between ranged and magic depending on the enemy type. don't forget to backup your save and Good Luck!
Congratulations on passing it through all 4 god dungeons and the infernal stronghold! Our next hurdle will be Into the Mist!

2024.04.20 07:01 Eldie1 I'm too old to go through it again.

This is a long story – and I apologize for that. I figured I should tell the whole story, for both you – and for my adult children. I’m not comfortable with leaving a note behind. Also, everything in this is true and can be PROVEN. I’m willing to entertain this while I’m still here. If you want proof of anything written below, just ask and I’ll provide the proof you request. I probably have maybe 3 weeks left – to make it, or to give up AGAIN. Thanks!
My father severely abused me from the time I was in diapers until I was big enough and man enough to stand up to him. He would leave bleeding welts on top of older bruised welts. I once showed my 6th grade teacher thinking I would be kept safe, and the only thing that happened was she talked to him and more abuse. He hit me in my head often, knocked me unconscious, and called me stupid. He is responsible for the low self-esteem and low self-image I carried with me throughout my life. I never felt worthy of anything or anyone.
I did meet a beautiful girl 21 when I was 23. She was in an abusive marriage and wanted out. I don’t know if she really fell in love with me, or used me to save her from her current situation. I did fall in love with her though. We got married (a year and a half after her divorce) and had 2 kids.
I was in a bad car accident and became addicted to the pain pills. Instead of supporting treatment or rehab, she packed up herself and the kids, and left me. She moved in with her dad.
I sank into a depression and my addiction progressed. It evolved to heroin. I got caught and was sentenced to 5 years in prison.
She moved back into the house. I did overcome my addiction and quit in 2008 while in prison. She started writing to me when I had one year left to serve before my release from prison. She never did tell me she loved me, but told me that she missed me, felt safe and secure with me, and blah, blah, blah… She was in another abusive relationship again though, and I guess she needed to be rescued again. I still don’t know if she ever loved me, but I was in love with her, and planned to move back home and reclaim my family – my wife, my kids, my home.
6 months before my release, the truth came out. She was away from the abusive guy, and needed support. She needed food stamps, Medicaid, and WIC and had to file for divorce in order to qualify for the benefits. WIC? Yeah, more of the truth – she had 2 more kids with the abusive crackhead (literally).
1 month before my release, she notified me that she had let him come back a few months ago, because she needed his financial support. I also found out that this dude had my wife, and my 2 sons (then 15 and 17) smoking weed and that Mojo Spice synthetic crap. My kids actually quit school!!! I had to get home and clean up my house and get my family back the way it’s supposed to be.
I got back home after 5 yrs.in prison (03/2013), got rid of him, and fixed my family. It didn’t happen overnight, but we slowly got back to normal. It took about a year. She actually ‘showed’ her love for me. Maybe she had a hard time saying it because of her traumatic experiences with domestic abuse. IDK. We planned on getting remarried in a year or so.
My wife developed a bad cough, and by Christmas 2014, she kept dropping things – phone, drinks, silverware, whatever. I took her to the hospital. The MRI showed 7 lesions in her brain. They believed the Spice/Mojo caused a lung cancer that rapidly spread to her lymph nodes and then to her brain. Prognosis – 4 to 6 months. The radiation made her very sick. She rather spend her last few months with as little sickness as possible and refused all future treatments.
I never stopped loving her and I feel like I was about to be cheated out of something I never did get to get to fully enjoy. I needed to make every moment count and I stayed by her bedside. She passed after 5 months (05/2015). I didn’t work those 5 months, fell into deep depression 5 to 6 months because part of me died too, and we didn’t have life insurance. After trying to pay everything, I ran out of money and lost everything. I became homeless.
My wife said the Bible says, “Ashes to ashes.. “ and she wanted to be ashes. She didn’t want to be put on display and remembered in the condition the cancer left her in – skin on bones and bald. She picked the picture she wanted used at her memorial service, and wanted to be cremated. I did exactly as she wished. Her catholic family didn’t believe she wanted to be cremated, and accused me of taking the cheap way out. I could get no financial assistance from my in-laws (ex in-laws). My parents were dead, and my kids were now 17 and 19. My wife’s family helped my kids, but I had no one to help me. Homelessness was inevitable. My ex-in-laws bailed me out of the foreclosure on the house, but I could no longer live there. They only did it for my kids. I couldn’t pay for the utilities or food, so my kids stayed in our house and I had to leave, so my in-laws (ex) would help support my kids until they could become financially independent, or until I could get my life together and buy back my house (or another one).
I had a couple cousins and friends open their homes to me, but I could obviously see my presence causing a strain on their relationships. I left for the homeless shelter. My first night there, someone stole my bag while I was sleeping, and I had nothing but the clothes on my back. I no longer had an ID and couldn’t stay at the homeless shelter again without one. I was really on the streets the end of 2015.
I never wanted to be a panhandler and hold up a cardboard sign at a traffic intersection, but I had to become that person. It was so degrading – especially with everyone yelling, “Go get a job loser!” Who would hire someone with no identification card, no address, no transportation, no bank account for direct deposit, someone who hasn’t showered, had a haircut, or a change of clothes in over 6 months???
Near the end of 2016, the cops saw me panhandling and recognized me from a missing persons flyer. He told me to call the people who reported me missing – the nursing home. The nurse stated that my mother was dying and really wanted to see me before she died. I told her that I’ll come as soon as possible. She said, “That was 5 months ago. Your mom passed away almost 4 months ago, in mid 2016.”
I was determined to beat homelessness by panhandling. I would panhandle 12 hours a day, and save as much as I could. I could survive on $10 for food, and would save everything else I’d collect. I averaged between $25 and $40 a day. I became homeless when people were already tired of panhandlers at every traffic light. It was hard to make any money panhandling. Most homeless people were alcoholics and drug addicts, and it seemed everyone knew it – and I blended in with them, I guess. I actually had homeless drug addicts asking to borrow money from me. Dude, I’m homeless just like you… I guess nothing can be hidden in plain sight. I guess they watched how many times I collected a dollar or two, and realized I hardly spent any. I don’t know, but they knew I had some money.
I had almost $1500 in cash, and I was so close to beating homelessness. In March 2017 while I was looking for odd jobs, a guy rode up to me on a bicycle, pulled out a gun, put it to my head and said, “Give it all to me.” I’m not going to let someone just shoot me in the head. I put up a fight, and in the struggle for the gun, he twisted it into my chest and pulled the trigger. He shot me in the chest and the bullet barely missed my heart. Because of the positioning, the bullet traveled through my intestines, hit and fractured my pelvic bone and lodged in my left-back waistline. I woke up in the ICU with an incision from the top of my chest down to below my abdomen – and I had a colostomy bag.
I lost my wife, lost everything else, became homeless, lost my mom and missed telling her goodbye, got robbed and shot, and now had a colostomy bag. I was discharged from the hospital to bedrest, to keep my wound clean, and was supposed to change the colostomy bag daily. I couldn’t get medical supplies or colostomy bags. They are mailed by McKesson, and I didn’t have an address. I used 1 colostomy bag for several weeks and had it duct taped to my stomach. It kept leaking. I couldn’t take anymore. I reached my breaking point and wanted to die – immediately!!!
A few homeless people overdosed on fentanyl and some died on $10 and $20 bags. I decided that’s how I would go. I panhandled and saved $68. I got with a homeless drug addict and bought him a $20 bag for hooking me up, and bought a ½ gram and a syringe for $50 ($48). I went to the middle of the park and did almost all of it in one shot. The $20 bag overdosed Brian, but the $50 didn’t overdose me. I don’t understand, because I haven’t even drank since 2008. It was over 9 years since I did anything. I don’t know. It did make me seriously loaded/high though. It didn’t kill me, but it made me feel good and it poisoned my thinking - I didn’t have to think or care. I still wanted to die though…
As long as I used the fentanyl, suicide wasn’t so urgent. I was able to live. I wasn’t able to cope. I was only able to live a while longer by suppressing the suicidal thoughts. Without it, I probably would have run out in front of a speeding truck or something. I was able to panhandle without caring, and I was able to take a little better care of myself. I was able to convince my surgeon that I was no longer homeless, and I got him to reverse the ostomy. My life was getting better.
In 2018, my intestines pushed through the incision giving me a 12cm stage 2 incisional hernia. In 2019 I had my 3rd major surgery to repair the hernia.
My life was surely improving, but still sucked. The only thing that could possibly prevent suicide and stop the drugs would be beating homelessness. In March 2020 the world pandemic came. The local government put all of the homeless in hotels and motels. I now had a temporary address and filed for food stamps, the 2 stimulus checks, and pandemic unemployment. I made a plan to use the pandemic money ONLY to get off the streets. I became chemically dependent on the fentanyl, but became a handyman for the motel and used that income to support my dependency.
I used my pandemic money only to buy a 2018 Nissan in 2020 with only 23k miles on it, rented a house with a big yard, and bought enough tools to start my own handyman business. The only thing left to do was kick the dependency. I say ‘chemically dependent’ and not ‘addicted’, because I had no psychological obsession and compulsion for the stuff. I didn’t like the way it made me feel anymore. I didn’t like it poisoning my thoughts anymore. I only had a physical need for it to be able to function. Otherwise I went through withdrawal sickness.
I was able to go to a detox hospital, and they only let me stay 7 days (Medicaid won’t cover any longer than that). I didn’t experience any withdrawals until day 6. I was being discharged the next day. I had to get on MATs (Suboxone). I didn’t like it, and went with the Sublocade injection. I weaned myself off of that and I’m completely drug-free now.
Unfortunately, my business suffered when I went to the detox hospital. I planned on staying in contact with my contract customers, but the detox hospital lost my wallet with my list of phone numbers during intake. Cell phones are not allowed, so I brought my number list with me. I lost my 2 biggest contracts. I planned on stringing them along for the week, but no contact for an entire week violated our contract. I went from making $2000 to $3000 a week to $2000 a month.
I recently had my endocrine system crash and I became very sick. My body stopped producing hormones and other things. I had no energy, I was tired all the time, and I gained 80 lbs in less than 6 months. I went from 185 to almost 270 lbs. I got so big, I couldn’t breathe when trying to tie my shoes.
I’m on testosterone injections and other meds now. My health is getting a little better, but my business is gone. I have no customers left. I haven’t had much income in months. I’ve been living off of my savings. My savings is gone. I’ve tried to find a job, but I’m 56 yrs old, out of shape and not in the best health, and other than my own small business, I have no verifiable employment history in the past 10 years. Either I’m overqualified, underqualified, too old, no employment history, a convicted felon, etc. I’m about to lose everything again. I refuse to become homeless again. I’d rather be dead. I could sell my tools, but then I might as well plan on never working again. The last time I reached my breaking point, I really tried to kill myself on an overdose of fentanyl. I’m not scared to do it again. This time, the syringe I have (for the testosterone injections) is a LOT bigger. I could probably fit 10x as much. I’m not scared to fall asleep and never wake up again. I’ve been super lonely since Lisa died. I feel I have nothing more to live for anymore anyway. Being 56 now, my life is basically over anyway. I’ve come a long way. I’ve come too far to lose it all and become homeless again.
This isn’t a cry for help and I’m not attention-seeking. This post is more for my kids to understand why I chose this way. They have their own lives now, and there’s nothing they can do to make my life better anyway. I’ve been lonely too long, and now I can’t afford to pay my bills anymore. I refuse to be homeless again. If I can find a way to cover my bills, it would definitely buy me some more time. I just don’t want to be lonely much longer either. If something great happens, great! If not, I’ll be gone in about 3 weeks. I’ll probably be evicted right after the first week of May. If so, bye cruel world! Come to think about it… Lisa passed away on May 9, 2015. I could go May 9, 2024.
I’m not religious anymore either. I lost all of that over the years… Please don’t tell me that I’m still here because God has a plan for me, or anything like that. If this is his plan, his plan (my whole life basically) sucks, and I don’t want any part of it anymore!!! My life has gotten so much better since losing my religion. It feels better to not think a loving God gave me this life. And please don’t preach. I’m a atheist now, and only God himself could prove his existence and convert me back to a theist. Thanks!

2024.04.08 13:37 goksenin1234 What about having a bribe mechanic for masterworking

So, I have been blasting out ptr since it started and sometimes it is so much time-consuming to try to get an item to 12 and click skip hundreds of times. By that time I had thousands of neathiron so gathering the mat was not a problem failing it just made you click more buttons and spend more time for nothing. I can try hundreds of times I have already succeded in this mechanic I just need to spend time for nothing.
My solution is to have a bribe option on the master working window that lets us spend 10x neathiron and boosts success chance to 100 or 90%. By this, trying manually probably still consumes much less material but if you can already run through pits you could just bribe your way out in the end, you already win the main part of the mechanic, gathering materials. What do you guys think?
Edit: The intention is not reducing the grind or simplifying the process. You still need to gather the mats. You just have an option to gamble it or pay way more mats. We already have a %10 increase on each failure so you will never try 10 times for one rank. So paying 10x upfront is neither reducing the grind nor simplifying the process. It only earns you some time if you have tons of mats.

2024.04.08 00:02 indez_tv I Beat EVERY Uber Uber Boss (Solo)

Hey everyone!
After beating Pit 200, I decided to solo all Uber Uber bosses in the game using a Pure Minion Build. It was a cool challenge, and I wanted to share my insights with the community.
Challenges with Materials Drops:
Materials for Duriel have to be fixed to 5-10 Shards/Eggs in the Uber version. Why to 10? Because everytime you kill normal Varshan/Girgoire you have a small chance to get 2x eggs/shards.
I was excited for the Uber Uber version so it could 5x speed up my farm. Nobody like to kill a boss 10x and port to town.
Underwhelming Fights:
The fights themselves were, frankly, a bit underwhelming. Despite this, with the right approach, they were manageable. Each boss had its quirks, but none posed insurmountable challenges. However, I couldn't help but feel that the Uber versions lacked unique mechanics that truly set them apart.
Still very far from the Uber boss fights from PoE imo.
Boss Mechanics Breakdown:
If you are running the minion build, the bosses will barely move from their pace, so all you have to do is dodge the mechanics and pew pew. Minions will carry you, they won't die because I have Maximum HP in all equipment and Max Res (I have to test if you need all of this)
GeaTalents/Paragon:
Extremely easy to build, no uniques required, it will just make your life better if you have Sacri/Mend ring.
Quick Build Video Build Guide
Conclusion:
In conclusion, soloing Uber Uber bosses with a minion build is not only achievable but also extremely in reach of anyone. Gear up, summon your minions, and go kill those Uber Uber bosses.
Feel free to share your own experiences and tips in the comments below.
Cheers,
Indez

PS: Andariel Mats are bugged on PTR, but I'm sure it would be EZ

Beginner who might need some advice or reassurance
Hi!
Cross posting from /gardening. I live in zone 3b (last frost ~ 15 May) and I have been (impatiently) waiting to start my seeds in the hopes of having a great garden this year. This is my first time starting anything from seed. I built a grow shelf and set it up with grow lights and a thermostat-controlled heat map. My plan is generally to use the top shelf for starts/germination and then move things down. With both shelves full I planned it (in my head at least) to be able to have 10x 1020 trays at once. I started my tomatoes, peppers, cabbage and broccoli exactly 8 days ago and added some other items over the next few days.

https://preview.redd.it/wk8zr2tt62tc1.png?width=960&format=png&auto=webp&s=19740603fef840a2e38e952a3fc84526753b6093

I have had mostly great results, particularly with the annual flowers, but also some mixed results and besides one or two mistakes that are obvious even to me, I'm not sure whether I can change something that might improve my consistency. These are mistakes that seem obvious to me:
  • I kept the humidity dome on too long and likely overwatered as well. I was waiting until everything had sprouted instead of removing it at the first sign and I got a bit of moss/mold on the top of the soil. This is obvious in some of the pics.
  • Due to the light being on high as well as having the dome on, I think my temps were too high for some seeds. I set my heat mat to heat to ~27C/80F (probably too high to start with) but it wasn't even coming on because the light, dome and my house being a bit warm kept the temp at ~86F/30C inside anyway.
Here are things that I don't understand:
  • My tomato seeds, with one of the longer germination periods listed (7-14 days), sprouted after ~5 days but of my 6 cabbage plants (12 seeds since I planted 2 per cell), which have a 7-10 germination period, not a single one has sprouted. Weird?
  • I planted two beef steak tomato seeds from the same seed packet at the same time in the exact same environment. One is about 10x larger than the other? The small one (see pic) seems like a bonsai version.

  • Are my cosmos seedlings leggy? They seem to have much longer stems than anything else but the stems aren't really white so.... I'm not sure?

  • I planted 6 cells (12 seeds) with broccoli. One seedling looks great (to my eyes at least) but there is no sign of any life at all from the other 5 cells. Again - same seeds, same planting time, same environment etc.

https://preview.redd.it/vr5smc1y62tc1.png?width=960&format=png&auto=webp&s=5660bec56f8d9bd99fc3d795d3e1d21a42b2a7d1
Currently my lights are on a 18/6 cycle and I have lowered the thermostat on the heat mats to heat to 25C/77F. I'm enjoying it regardless of my less successful plants but I was just hoping to leverage some of the experience that others on here would have. Thanks!

First time starting from seeds and I might need some help please
Hi!
I started my tomatoes, peppers, cabbage and broccoli exactly 8 days ago and added some other items over the next few days.

https://preview.redd.it/wls46zyhixsc1.png?width=960&format=png&auto=webp&s=a62e536aacc0859e32ab8010524f48f1db6cff17

🔗RCBS Rock Chucker Supreme Master Reloading Kit for 308 Bullets

https://preview.redd.it/4dtaqv1dvuqc1.jpg?width=720&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=52b2c83084b327807f3f5083eff3d70145657a16
I recently had the pleasure of using the RCBS Rock Chucker Supreme Master Reloading Kit 9366, and let me tell you, it's quite the impressive tool. As someone who's been in the reloading game for a while now, I've found that quality gear is essential, and this kit offers that in spades.
The first thing that caught my eye was the sturdy frame design made of cast iron. It provides ample rigidity, allowing me to produce accurate, consistent rounds no matter what caliber I'm working with. The central pivot design gives you extra leverage when you need it, making those tougher jobs a breeze.
Another standout feature is the precision-engineered press itself. The 4-inch ram stroke provides a forgiving window for loading cartridges with ease. And let's face it, some tools in the reloading world are more user-friendly than others, and this one is right at the top of my list.
In terms of the M500 mechanical scale, it's an absolute winner. The accuracy of those readings is spot-on, right at +/- 0.1 grain. I've found it makes a world of difference when trying to dial in the perfect load, and the added confidence it brings to the table is invaluable.
However, there were a few areas where this kit fell short. I found the included primer catcher to be a bit of a letdown. Made mostly of plastic, it didn't manage the task as well as I hoped it would.
In conclusion, the RCBS Rock Chucker Supreme Master Reloading Kit 9366 is a fantastic tool for anyone looking to dive into the world of reloading. It's sturdy, reliable, and provides a level of precision that's hard to find elsewhere. That said, you might want to keep an eye out for an alternative catcher if you're planning on going all-in on this hobby.

🔗Rusoh Eliminator ABC Reloading Kit 85994: Easy to Activate and Sustainable

https://preview.redd.it/hmwzn7kdvuqc1.jpg?width=720&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=7051a4cea7fbde4b88bb72446cd8abf5555c6924

The Rusoh Eliminator ABC Reloading Kit made dealing with my fire safety equipment a breeze. Not only did it make refilling my extinguisher quick and painless, but it also felt great to hold in my hands. The ergonomic design allowed for a comfortable grip, and the patented Rusoh fluffing wheel gave me peace of mind knowing that my extinguishing agent would always be ready for action.
However, if I had to point out a downside, I would say that following the reloading instructions could have been a bit more straightforward. I also noticed that without the recommended reloading wrench set, the process took longer than expected. Despite these minor inconveniences, I highly recommend the Rusoh Eliminator Reloading Kit to anyone looking for a reliable and easily accessible fire extinguisher refill solution.

🔗High-Capacity RCBS Rebel Master Reloading Kit for Rifles and Pistols

https://preview.redd.it/dtc5a89evuqc1.jpg?width=720&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=feb87d8bb56d441683a8fe1fa0c326c908e8d8fc

For the past few weeks, I've been using the RCBS Rebel Master Reloading Kit in my daily life. As a hobbyist, I can say it's been quite the addition to my reloading toolkit. The highlight for me is the Rebel Single Stage Press - a sturdy and well-built piece of equipment. It's larger and more robust than its predecessor, the Rock Chucker Supreme, making it a great pick for those who need a press with a bit more weight to it.
One feature that has stood out to me is the capability to work with both rifle and pistol ammunition. This versatility comes in handy when I'm trying out different calibers for various shooting disciplines. The kit also includes all the necessary tools to get started with reloading, which is perfect for beginners like myself.
However, I did encounter a few drawbacks. The digital scale that comes with the kit has been quite unreliable. It's unable to hold zero and has been causing some issues in my reloading process. Additionally, the kit is missing some key accessories such as a spent primer catcher and a powder measure with an independent stand. As a beginner, I found I had to purchase these separately to complete my setup.
In conclusion, the RCBS Rebel Master Reloading Kit is a solid choice for those who want a reliable and robust reloading press. The versatility and the included tools make it a great pick. But be prepared to purchase a few additional accessories for a complete setup.

This Lyman universal case prep accessory kit has been a game-changer for me while working on reloading. It's incredible to have all the necessary tools for quality case preparation in one set, making it perfect for both beginners and seasoned reloaders like myself.
The individual tools have their own molded handles with rubber inserts, ensuring a secure grip and ease of use. I particularly appreciate the inclusion of both large and small primer pocket reamers, primer pocket cleaners, outside deburring tool, and inside (VLD) chamfer tool alongside large and small primer pocket uniformer tools.
The custom zippered case included makes storage and transportation to the range effortless, and the savings of 40% over individual purchases just add to the value of this kit. However, one minor downside is that the tools can sometimes unscrew from the handles, requiring me to tighten them after use.
Overall, I thoroughly recommend the Lyman universal case prep accessory set for those in search of an all-in-one solution to their case preparation needs.

🔗Lee Precision Ultimate 4 Die Set: Perfect for 30-06 Reloading

https://preview.redd.it/wagj81dfvuqc1.jpg?width=720&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=a3c5d0eb78b987567800697b496f03679c1414d0
As a reloader, I've always been on the lookout for a versatile and efficient set of dies. That's why I was excited to try out the Lee Precision Ultimate 4 Die Set. The first thing that caught my eye was the full length-resizing die, perfect for returning brass to factory new dimensions. It makes reloading brass fired in other guns a breeze.
I was also impressed by the Collet Necksizing die, which is used on fire-formed brass and provides the best possible accuracy. And to my delight, it didn't require any lube when using the Collet Necksizing die, and the cases seemed to last almost forever.
The Easy Adjust Dead Length Bullet seating die was a game-changer for me. It foolproofs the bullet seating adjustment, ensuring perfect seating depth every time. And with the Factory Crimp die, I was able to achieve a secure crimp on bullets, even without a crimp groove. The complete set also included a shell holder, powder measure, and famous Lee load data, making it an all-in-one solution for my reloading needs.
Overall, I'm thoroughly satisfied with the Lee Precision Ultimate 4 Die Set. It's a top-quality product that delivers on all its promises. While there may be some minor drawbacks, like the thinner metal construction and lighter warranty compared to other brands, these issues are easily outweighed by the set's ease of use, versatility, and exceptional value for the money.

🔗Durable Carbide Dies for 9mm Luger Reloading

https://preview.redd.it/k7jvupxfvuqc1.jpg?width=720&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=d65c6b6ad4c8792e0e8cfc1d7114a235ea601eb6
The Lee Precision Carbide 3 Die Set for 9mm Luger has been an excellent addition to my reloading routine. One of the standout features of this set is its universal shell holder and powder dipper, which has made the process of loading rounds much smoother and efficient. The durable design of the dies also adds peace of mind, knowing that they can withstand regular use without breaking down.
However, I must admit that I've faced a few minor inconveniences while using this set. The most notable issue has been the occasional difficulty in crimping the bullets correctly, which resulted in a few misfires. Additionally, the provided case holder seemed less than ideal, leading me to explore alternative options. Overall, I believe the pros outweigh the cons, and I would recommend the Lee Precision Carbide 3 Die Set for anyone looking to reload their 9mm Luger ammo.

🔗Versatile 5.7 X 28 Reloading Dies Set for Efficient Ammo Creation

https://preview.redd.it/gypd3gdgvuqc1.jpg?width=720&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=52fb8910e4a08b364360c9428825728c125b9c6e
The Lee PaceSetter 3-Die Set has become an indispensable part of my reloading toolkit. Despite being a beginner, I found the set incredibly user-friendly, with the Full Length Sizing Die and the Easy Adjust Dead Length Bullet Seater working smoothly and precisely.
One die in particular stood out - the Factory Crimp Die. Its machine-honed finish offered a perfect crimp, which significantly improved the accuracy of my ammunition. Another favorite was the built-in Stuck Case Remover. Its functionality was impressive, allowing me to tackle any sticking issues in a seamless manner.
However, I must mention a minor inconvenience - the long guided expander took a while to get used to. It was a bit tricky to adjust at first, but once I got the hang of it, I found it to be efficient and accurate.
The Lee PaceSetter 3-Die Set offers a delightful balance of quality and affordability. Its versatility and the variety of tools provided make it an excellent investment for both beginners and seasoned reloaders like myself.

🔗Precision 223 Reloading Kit for Accurate Ammunition

https://preview.redd.it/143kuuwgvuqc1.jpg?width=720&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=97e7ec3660961c4376b37b7f7b3058bdfdc5fd64
I recently had the pleasure of trying out the Lee Collet 2-die SET-7MM Express for reloading ammunition. The first thing that stood out to me was the compact packaging, which was perfect for storage and travel. The accuracy of this system really impressed me - it seizes the case neck against a precision mandrel to ensure a perfect fit with minimum run-out. This results in amazing shot start pressure, without any need for lube case or crimping. As someone who values efficiency and cost-saving measures, the 10x longer case life was an added bonus.
While the 223 Reloading Kit provided outstanding results, I noticed that it wasn't designed for hunting rounds. The neck-sized case and lack of crimp made me hesitant to use them in my hunting setups. Despite this minor limitation, the Lee Collet dies were incredibly reliable and consistently produced tight groups in my target tests.
Overall, this set was a joy to use and I appreciated the savings in case replacement costs. Highly recommend this set if you're looking to optimize your ammunition for target shooting or sporting goods!

🔗Frankford Arsenal 40 S&W Reloading Kit for Pistol Bullet Collator

https://preview.redd.it/kiudgkbhvuqc1.jpg?width=720&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=e5984d7f69de5d87db8a7bcc3e9426d84665828e
I recently had the opportunity to try out the Frankford Arsenal X-10 40S, W Blt FDR Cnv Kit 1194190. This bullet feeder kit offers a seamless connection to the X-10 Progressive Reloading Press, complete with a caliber-specific bullet collator plate, bullet feed and shuttle assembly, and a micrometer adjustable seating die. I was particularly impressed by the bullet feed system's integration into the X-10 Tool Head, allowing me to feed and seat bullets in the same station.
One of my favorite features was the micrometer adjustable seating stem, which provides consistent and precise seating depths. This kit comes in handy calibers like 9mm Luger, . 38 Super, . 40 SW, and. 45 ACP, accommodating a wide range of pistol enthusiasts. The only minor drawback I encountered was the waiting time for the bullet collator to be in stock, but the prompt shipping and notification of the restock made the experience smooth. Overall, I'd recommend this bullet feeder kit to anyone looking to streamline their reloading process.

🔗Hornady 223 Remington Reloading Die Set for Superior Bullet Seating

https://preview.redd.it/sngpavqhvuqc1.jpg?width=720&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=c26a56d7e8b948f1ca77f894f3fc190a3d11834c
I recently had the opportunity to try out the Hornady 2 Die Set for the 223 Remington cartridge, and I must say it was a mixed experience. While the all-steel construction was solid and the locking retainer spring made disassembly and cleaning a breeze, I found a few drawbacks. The locking screws, although free from threads, were tricky to tighten and loosen, adding a layer of complexity to the process.
One of the highlights was the spindle design, which eliminated slippage and made spindle adjustments much easier. However, I encountered an issue with the die locking rings, which seemed to wear out a bit faster than expected. This led to occasional misalignment of the cartridge, making the reloading process less precise.
The storage box was a thoughtful addition, which kept the dies protected when not in use. On the other hand, I felt the thread size (7/8"-14) was slightly less common compared to the standard 7/8"-16 thread size, which could pose a challenge for some reloaders.
Overall, the Hornady 2 Die Set is a reliable option for reloading enthusiasts, offering a solid build, custom bullet seating, and a lifetime warranty. However, it's important to be aware of the potential drawbacks, such as the locking screws and the less common thread size. With these factors in mind, it's worth considering other options before making a final decision.

🔗Affordable .223 Reloading Kit with Headspace Gauge for Safe and Accurate Loading

https://preview.redd.it/sjechq6ivuqc1.jpg?width=720&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=5b09816cb92fceecde2ff7a76aaa2ff280085b10
As someone who enjoys the art of reloading, I've always been on the lookout for ways to improve the accuracy and efficiency of my process. That's why I was intrigued when I heard about the Lyman. 223 Rifle Case Length Headspace Gauge. This little tool has become an invaluable part of my reloading toolkit.
The first thing that stood out to me was how easy it was to use. Simply sliding a case into the gauge and checking if it exceeded the maximum or fell below the minimum allowable headspace. It's a quick and accurate way to ensure the proper dimensions for each case, saving me time and hassle in the long run.
However, there was one downside. When trying to check a 6.5 Creedmoor case, I discovered that the gauge I received didn't work properly. After reaching out to Lyman, I learned that the batch I received had a quality control issue. Luckily, the company was willing to replace it, but it was a minor setback in what could have otherwise been a seamless experience.
Overall, the Lyman. 223 Rifle Case Length Headspace Gauge is a great tool for reloaders who want to achieve the highest degree of safety and accuracy. It's easy to use and has saved me a lot of time and frustration in the reloading process. While there was one issue with the quality control, Lyman's customer service was top-notch, and I believe the tool is well worth the investment.

Buyer's Guide

There are two main types of reloading kits available on the market: basic and advanced. Basic kits are ideal for beginners or those on a budget, as they come with the bare minimum components to start reloading. Advanced kits, on the other hand, offer a more comprehensive set of tools and components, catering to experienced reloaders and those who want to invest in a higher-quality setup.

Compatibility and Availability of Components

Ensure that the reloading kit you choose is compatible with the 223 caliber. Additionally, look for kits that have a wide range of available components, such as bullets, primers, and powder options, to allow for flexibility in your reloading process.

https://preview.redd.it/hkh73c4mvuqc1.jpg?width=720&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=a3c2654f3d76716b2af62041e9011f1bb24495f6

Reliability and Durability

A reliable and durable reloading kit is crucial for long-term use. Consider the materials used in the kit's construction, as high-quality materials like sturdy metal or polymer will stand up to regular use and ensure a long lifespan for the kit.

Ease of Use and Maintenance

Choose a 223 reloading kit that is user-friendly and requires minimal maintenance. Look for kits with intuitive interfaces, clear instructions, and easy-to-clean components. This will make the reloading process more enjoyable and less frustrating.

Price and Value

While it is essential to find an affordable 223 reloading kit, it is equally important to consider the value the kit provides. A good quality reloading kit may come with a higher price tag, but it will offer better performance, reliability, and longer-lasting components. Take the time to compare prices and features before making a purchase.

Customer Reviews and Ratings

Read customer reviews and ratings to get an idea of how other users have experienced the reloading kit. Positive reviews often indicate a well-designed and high-quality product, while negative reviews can help you identify potential issues and areas for improvement.

Brand Reputation and Support

Choose a 223 reloading kit from a reputable brand with a history of reliable products and excellent customer support. This will give you peace of mind knowing that the kit you purchase is backed by a company that values its customers and is committed to providing outstanding service.

Consider Your Personal Needs and Preferences

When choosing a 223 reloading kit, consider your specific needs and preferences. If you are a beginner, select a kit with a comprehensive guide and user-friendly design. If you have experience in reloading, you may want a more advanced kit with a wide range of components and tools.

What is the process of reloading ammunition?

Reloading ammunition involves several steps, including cleaning the brass case, resizing it to fit the chamber of your firearm, seating the new primer, adding the correct amount of powder, and crimping the bullet into place. The reloaded ammunition is then ready to be fired in your firearm. This process can be time-consuming, but with practice, it becomes more efficient.

What are the potential benefits of using a 223 Reloading Kit?

  • Cost savings compared to purchasing new ammunition
  • Customization options, allowing for specific load characteristics and bullet design
  • Environmentally friendly by reusing brass casings and reducing waste
  • Satisfaction and education in the reloading process

Are there any safety concerns when reloading ammunition?

Yes, reloading ammunition requires caution and proper handling to avoid accidents. Be sure to follow the manufacturer's guidelines and use personal protective equipment, such as eye protection and gloves. Incorporate a safety device, such as a bullet trap or bench mat, and never mix unfamiliar or unrelated components in the same round. Always store your loaded ammunition in a secure location, following local laws and regulations.

How do I know if a 223 Reloading Kit is right for me?

Consider your experience with firearms and reloading. If you are a beginner, it might be more beneficial to start with an introductory reloading kit that includes step-by-step instructions and safety guidelines. Experienced reloaders may prefer a more advanced kit with additional components and tools.

What should I look for when purchasing a 223 Reloading Kit?

Suggestions on how to frame this piece
My wife and I inherited several pieces from her grandmother. One of the pieces is unframed and we're unsure how to style the framing since the piece is so dark. Artist is Carlos lopez-ruiz for those interested. The piece itself is 12x16. All suggestions as to colotype of frame and matting ideas are welcome. Thanks
