If you frequently see fraud slip through your Radar ML/rule protections, this is for you!
My cofounder and I are building in the fraud space right now, and we noticed for some of our customers, some pretty blatant fraud cases get through with low to medium risk scores.
We looked into their historical transaction data via Stripe Sigma (which includes all the features passed into Stripe's ML model!), and through some super simple techniques, were able to come up with a list of rules that identified fraud with a 90%+ rate on the historical data. As in, 90% of transactions that the rule flagged either resulted in a fraudulent chargeback, or an early fraud warning. We quickly set up these rules so that future cases would not happen.
Example rules:
:email_count_for_ip_weekly: >= 10
:total_charges_per_card_number_daily: >= 15
:authorized_charges_per_billing_address_hourly: >= 5
Shockingly simple, right? And interesting that these transactions got away with low to medium scores. My best guess is that Stripe's ML model has to fit across all of their customers, so some things that would be suspicious for your business might not be for another one.
For that same reason, I can't guarantee our methods will work for everyone. But if anyone here is interested in trying our tool, DM me! It's really simple-- just 3 steps. Probably would take like 5 minutes.

1. Run a Stripe Sigma query I give you, get a csv file
2. Open our web app and input the csv file (the data never leaves your computer, everything is done in the browser)
3. See if there's any rules you can add!

The tool is probably very buggy since we quickly spun it up, so I would LOVE to hop on call to walk you through the steps and debug any issues as they come along. Would also love a chance to learn more about your fraud stories, and we're happy to share what we know and give general tips on using Stripe Radar.

Hi again, writing a whole new post for clarification as I just try to piece together what on earth I’m going to do. I was planning to visit my fiancé in the US from 10.06 to 21.08 but since I apparently can’t do that without losing my UC LCWRA I’m considering splitting the time in two, returning to the UK on 08.07 and leaving again 23.07 because I don’t think mentally I can handle extending the time I need to be without him. The news of that I’ve got to uproot all my plans has broken my heart to begin with, and he can’t return to the UK until around October. Flying from the US and back would only be spending the money I was expecting to lose anyway, so that’s not too much of an issue. My questions are:

• Would I be able to take these close together periods abroad without getting into any bother, basically?
• I have recently been successful in claiming pip (preemptively to help with the spouse visa situation I’m working towards), would this be affected at all?
• During the second half of the trip (23.07-21.08) we are planning on getting married over there. As we don’t/can’t live together, I assume that my universal credit claim would be unchanged but I’d like to make sure of that before I do it

If I need to adjust those dates to fit a 28 day rule or anything I can, at this stage I’m just trying to come up with something that won’t be detrimental. I also wanted to add that I would try the just don’t tell them and hope it goes alright method but my periods abroad are going to be studied by the government for the spouse visa application I’m hoping to be ready for by around the end of the year. Everything I do needs to be completely above board at all times.

Should I go to a place like golf champion or golf tech to get my fit and purchase from them? Or should I go to a professional fitter locally here and get fitted, but he does not sell clubs. So I would have to purchase them else where.
The fitter is well known and has fit a lot of lpga and pga golfers.

A quick search at whois dot com shows this domain was registered today (21/5/24) in Phoenix AZ. An obvious scam but don’t fall for it. It’s not likely Scotia bank will be texting anyone from a 365 area code.

So a little backstory. Me and my fiance just got engaged 2 weeks ago. We both entered this relationship after divorces, I came with no children and she came with 3. Only 2 of her children are with her ex-husband. For the duration of our relationship he has tried everything imaginable to split us up, but I think he might have gone too far.
Now, in fairness to him, I wasn't able to hear the report or know who filed up. I won't be able to know apparently until the interviews. However, it seems pretty suspicious timing wise that we just got engaged then this happens.
Anyway, last Friday CPS showed up requesting to speak with me and my fiance. They said they received an allegation of "sexual abuse" against the girls. She was able to tell us that I was the primary suspect in the investigation, but added that my fiance is "also in the report". They made me leave the house with no explanation as to why. I'm not sure if this is just protocol or what, but it seems strange that they would go as far as to say I need to leave the house based on allegations, but maybe it was protocol? I guess I could see a scenario where, especially being it was a Friday, they just wanted to be precautionary.
Now my fiance is a wreck, the kids are sad, miss me and want to come home. I'm in absolute shambles. I have no idea what this is about or why I got roped into it. I suppose my questions are:

• How often do ex's do stuff like this?
• What are the next steps in this?
• Presumably the girls will say nothing bad during the interviews, and we certainly have nothing to hide, so what happens next?
• What can I do on my end? I'm pretty much just trying my best to comply at this point.

Any advice would be helpful. Also, can you press charges for a false CPS report? Assuming it is him.
The only other thing we can think of is maybe one of the girls did or said something at school, but I really don't see how in the world I would have been pulled into that. Just frustrating because I don't even know what the allegations are or how to defend myself. This is all so much!

So I was first diagnosed with epilepsy back in 2019, then got officially diagnosed with PNES instead of epilepsy shortly after once my seizures were caught on EEG with no brain disruptions. I was in a physically and emotionally abusive relationship. Once I moved out and broke up with him my seizures all but stopped. Had the occasional seizure here and there since…but nothing drastic.
Fast forward to this past month, I’ve had multiple seizures. All of them at work. For reference, I’m a GM at a pizza place. I work 50+ hours a week, mainly nights. Since the seizures returned, I have cut my hours down and made an appointment with a neurologist to be safe.
I want to know if anyone has any experience with figuring out different triggers that may also be causing these episodes? Like noises, smells, lights? I’ve been trying to figure out why they have only been happening at work. Or if anyone has any suggestions as to what I can do to help keep the seizures from happening.
Any suggestions or previous experiences are greatly welcomed and appreciated. It’s nice to not feel alone with this diagnosis that’s so difficult to explain to people without it.

So My (20M) almost 2-year GF(21F) were sitting on the couch. She pulled up my phone (she knows all my passcodes) and started looking through my Instagram ‘clicked links’ history, which I could also see. She scrolled for a minute and then found that I had clicked on 3 consecutive Onlyfans Links. I then proceeded to tell her that I get some of those on my page, and so sometimes I click them, not having any ulterior motive or anything like that. She then proceeded to tell me immediately that she was upset and needed some time to think. I obviously understood as she must’ve been hurt by the idea that I was looking at other people. In fact, I wasn’t, and you can’t even see anything without paying.
2 days later, when she asked to give her space, she turned up at my house and said, “That was a dealbreaker”, so now it’s over. She told me she felt “objectified” and “cheated on”. She didn’t even give me a chance to explain or talk anything through. She accused me of paying for it or signing up, but she didn’t want to look at my emails or my bank account statements when I offered. At that moment, I was really flustered, so I didn’t say anything back and just respected her decision.
She has requested no-contact, so for her sake, I’m willing to honour that, but it’s been really difficult for me as I’ve been left with so many questions unanswered. (Was that the only reason? Why couldn’t we talk it through?)
In all honesty, I don’t even remember clicking or looking at a link. I just told her I was curious because I thought owning up to a mistake would be better than just saying I didn’t do it. I would never do anything to harm her. I don’t want to diminish her feelings and how she feels about the situation, but I think it’s a slight overreaction for a two-year relationship.
To make it clear, on the day she broke up with me, I asked if she was thinking about it before this incident or anything, and she replied, “No, this was it”. So I doubt that there was any other reason
As a side note, she found out how to do this through a TikTok video in which a girl broke up with her boyfriend because she found 87 Onlyfans links in his clicked links history.
It’s been a few days and I haven’t been able to wrap my head around it, I would never do anything to try and hurt her, and I’m really regretful as to what I did and I wish I could take it all back. (Although I do think sometimes that I really didn’t do anything - I swear on every living being that day didn’t do anything with that link)
During this time off (about a week), I decided that I wanted to talk to her about it and that this relationship was worth fighting for. I don’t think that this should be the thing to end without at least a conversation to try and remediate it. However, I completely understand that she is still probably in an emotionally heightened state, and so I don't really want to make anything worse. So I'm questioning how long to wait until I talk to her, at least to get some answers. I know that I don't want to say "sorry" as I'm not sure that I did anything wrong, but I also don't want to diminish her feelings towards this topic, as telling her "you're overreacting" might not end well. I was placed on academic probation at the beginning of the school year but I was unable to raise my GPA. I got an email saying my financial aid has been suspended and I’m pretty sure that includes the ability to take out a Parent PLUS Loan (the only thing I’ve been able to rely on to cover my tuition costs).
I can’t take out a personal loan due to my credit score and I don’t have anyone who is willing or able to cosign. What do I even do at this point? Do I have ANY options??

I have searching flights over Air Canada (Aeroplan) for almost 2 years meaning I have experience but lately Star Alliance flights got very rare and even more rare in business or first. For example I look MCO to FRA, Air Canada shows me 140k (Over CANADA) for a Business Class ticket or more. But EW Discover has a direct flight between this route and is a member of Star Alliance but I don't find any flight from now until end of June. Do you have any tips on how to find Star Alliance flights? Because on December last year were I booked my last flight with Aeroplan there existed a ton of business tickets for 70k with a Star Alliance Ticket even direct like in my example from MOC to FRA.

Just need some advice regarding a moh going off the rails at my bach.
So my moh is my fiances oldest friends wife and i chose her as she was the one who hooked us up in the first place and we became super close over the last few years.
I went on my bachelorette party a couple weeks ago to Aruba and she was MIA for the entire thing. I made a rough itenerary outlining roughly when we would have meals and go out at night so everyone could be on the same page. She reviewed it and thought it was good and added in some safety tips. I mentioned to everyone that the itenerary is not set in stone and we will play it by ear and if people want to change things around once we get there we can. Most of all i want everyone to have fun and enjoy their time and just be a good vibes only kinda trip.
We get to the resort and we had dinner once and hung out at the pool bar for 20 minutes. For the rest of the trip she did not join me and the rest of the group for breakfast, lunch or dinner. She did not come to any excusions. She joined me for 1 night time event and that was it. the few times i saw her in passing...she was getting drunk at the bar with a random group of people. When i asked her whats up lets hang out...she said oh shes too drunk and just wanted to head to bed. Then on the last morning i wake up early and see her at the pool with some guy and hes touching her legs and whispering in her ears. I was confused and i literally just got up and left and never brought it up or mentioned it cause im not about dealing with more drama.
After we returned home she messaged me and said she felt left out of the group and felt like i was giving her the cold shoulder. She thought i was controlling and demanding because i had an itenerary and she doesnt like to be dictated while on vacation. Shes a go with the flow type of person and she didnt appreciate me having guidelines for meeting up. I tried to get her to understand my expectations and that i created the itenerary to stay organized and she just kept resorting back to saying its controlling. my issue is that she never mentioned this before or during the trip. She also never checked in with me, asked how I was doing, or asked if I wanted to hang out. I am confused , shocked, and hurt by her words and behavior and i have no idea what to do going forward.
I feel like she used my bach as an excuse to cheat or relive her glory days and she completely failed in her role as moh.

Should i remove her from my bridal party? I feel like shes extra sensitive and has a problem listening to me as the bride. Does anyone have any tips for getting the doors off? I've tried back the bolts off and tapping them with my rubber mallet, got a bit of a gap in the hinge and sprayed lubricant. Can't get them more than a 1/4 inch apart. It's a 17 Wrangler JK.

I've (23,F) been dating my bf(35,M) for almost a year and friends with the flatmate (21,M) for almost four. Living together for 2 years.
My boyfriend used to stay 2-3 nights but would drop by almost every night for 10-20 mins to hug me, kiss me and then leave. My flatmate and boyfriend got to know each other during this past year and they normally get along well. We even went on a vacation as a trio, just a month ago.
So around 3 months ago my flatmate voiced some issues about my boyfriend staying so often. I said it's okay, i can do 2 nights instead. Mind you, those nights start after 11 as we both work and end before 4-5 p.m. the next day. I didn't create any problems, i even told him it's good he said this, maybe it would become the reason he takes me out on more dates as he wouldn't be seeing me as often. So the flatmate then said, "i also don't like him dropping by. Even if it's for five minutes, i feel like i see him everyday and i feel like this isn't my house when i see a third person so often."
I said okay. No more hugs at the doorstep. I was honestly disappointed but i knew i had to comply in order to keep my peace at home.
Still the situation affected my own peace. I no longer had a home where i could just casually call my boyfriend to, even if it's for ten minutes. We had a strict schedule. One day, he couldn't come so we postponed to next day without letting the apartment manager ahem sorry, the flatmate know. But it was still 2 days within the same week, not three. Not at all to my surprise, the flatmate again told me how bothered he was that he wasn't informed. All i did was say sorry and promise I'll inform him next time there's a change.
Fast forward to last week, boyfriend and i were out of town for some important stuff but then we realized our day trip was going to take longer he had to go back home as he had work. Before he left, he had parked his motorcycle in front of my apartment building (he lives too far away and it was way more convenient to do so, for retrieving it later). Then he knocked on my door to ask whoever was at home to hand him his helmet, which we had left in my bedroom. The person (whoever opened the door) ended up telling him they don't know where it is, so he went to my room to get it. While he was there, he noticed that the cats were hungry and their litterbox was stinky, so he took care of that too and left immediately after. In summary, i was having a very hard time out of town and he was retrieving his helmet and helping me out however he could, as he should.
And tonight we came back home extremely tired. We both have not slept a decent night's sleep for the past 5 days. He has pulled 3 all-nighters and i, 2. I told him to come rest a bit in the kitchen and then he could leave. We spent half an hour in the kitchen, chatted to my flatmate and our friend who has been staying with us. And then bf left. I was then immediately asked this question: "How did your boyfriend enter the apartment that day?"
I was confused because i remember him mentioning that one of those two had opened the door for him. I said "I'm not sure". The flatmate said "well i did not open the door. Then the other friend said "neither did i.. actually, i just don't remember opening the door".
I called bf to confirm. He said it was the other friend who opened the door. I hung up the phone and told them that. The friend just replied "i... Don't remember. I'm not sure".
I was still confused by this question. My boyfriend doesn't have a key. So it must be one of those two who opened the door for him. And what kind of a question is that? Why would you even ask that? All i knew was that the room was becoming very tense.
I asked "what's wrong?" To which the flatmate replied, "We both did not open the door. He came inside somehow. Did he have your keys?"
I explained over and over that i had given my keys to the friend before leaving, and i have never given the bf any keys. We only have two, one is always on the flatmate and other one is mine. I genuinely thought they were joking so i attempted to break the ice by saying "well looks like bf is secretly a ghost!". The attempt did not work, they were both dead serious.
Then i asked "are you implying that my boyfriend got another key made behind my back?" They said "why not". I mean respectfully sir, you shouldn't be going on vacations with the people who you believe have the potential to break into your home and commit a literal crime. What i mean is, these people both know my boyfriend very well, and they know he's not that kind of person.
Well after this they both looked at me like i was hiding things. They said "well we don't know who opened the door" to which i replied "well that is a you problem, you probably should know whether you've opened a door or not".
The flatmate also added that he was again bothered that noone let him know the boyfriend was coming. And the fact that he was here when i wasn't. I mean... He was just taking back his helmet and cleaning cat litter for heaven's sake. Not like he sat in front of tv with a beer. And it was early morning, he had not slept for two days straight, just come back from a 7 hour trip, and just wanted to take his helmet so that he could go to work. He couldn't let me know because i was sleeping, 7 hours away from him.
I've lived with actually toxic situations before, but for this one i don't know what to think. Am i even slightly right? Or am i fucked? Should i move? How can i approach this situation? Someone please give me some advice, right now I'm very much sleep deprived and can't think but i feel like this kind of accusation should probably make me angry.

I noticed that key details for setting up a Micro SD card for the Everdrive GB X7 were scattered all over so I wanted to summarize them in one place. This post also has more info on finding low-power Micro SD cards beyond just "pick a small size from a good brand".

Error F6: FAT Error

Usually indicates that either (1) the Micro SD card draws too much power, or (2) the Micro SD card is formatted with a GPT partition table when it must be MBR.

Finding low-power Micro SD cards

TL;DR, look for SD cards specifically labeled MLC or SLC.
Flash memory works by storing different voltage levels in flash "cells". Older chips would use "SLC" (Single Level Cell) tech, storing 1 bit per cell. Later came "MLC" (Multi Level Cell), which stores 2 bits per cell. Most newer Micro SD cards use QLC, or 4 bits per cell.
Storing more bits per cell has the benefit of making larger, cheaper storage, but at the cost of reliability and higher power draw. This page goes into more detail as it pertains to aerospace, but the same tradeoffs apply here.
So, to find a lower-power SD card, you should specifically look for MLC or SLC cards. Expect MLC to cost 3-4x more per GB vs what you'd pay for a typical Micro SD card, which will be QLC. I just recently got an 8 GB "SanDisk Industrial MLC" card for $10 and 16 GB MLC card for $14 and confirmed they both read/write without issue, while a different 16 GB SanDisk card that was not specifically labeled MLC does not work.

Using the right partition table (MBR)

Like the heading says, if you use a partition table, it must be MBR and not GPT.
I side-stepped this by not using a partition table at all, and just writing the FAT filesystem directly to the sd card itself, rather than in a partition. I've seen some people have issues with partition tables "automatically" converting to GPT. No partition table = nothing to accidentally convert.
On Linux, to make the filesystem, I ran
sudo mkfs.fat -I -F 32 /dev/sdd -n 'EverdriveGB'
Notice that I specified sdd and NOT sdd1, because I'm not using any partitions at all. You can find the right device on your system with lsblk.

Hoping some of you with more experience might be able to help me out here. Recently got back from an extended trip overseas. While I was gone a buddy of mine stored my beloved Scout Sixty, but wasn’t able to ride it or run it much at all (not his fault in the slightest, nor was it expected of him to do so). This also happens to be my first bike and I have precisely 0 experience with motorcycle maintenance.
I get back only to discover that my rear brakes are not functioning at all. I can depress the brake pedal, but there is zero pressure being applied to brake pads/rotor. Front brakes are workin fine. The brake fluid indicator shows that there is sufficient fluid in the reservoir.
I’m getting it looked at by a mechanic this week, but i’m wondering if any of y’all fine folks have an idea of what could be/likely is wrong with my brakes so that I can either 1) trouble shoot workin out the problem myself before I get to the mechanic or 2) mentally prepare myself for the bill I’m about to pay.

Hi all, I have 2 year old siamese mix who has had perfect health. over the past 2 days i have noticed she will dry heave with no hair balls, this probably has happened around 5 times each day. I also noticed that her breathing pace is a little faster than normal? she is eating like normal, still active and isnt showing any physical signs of discomfort. the only thing i think can be cause of this is her water fountain broke 3 days ago. i left a bowl of water out but she REFUSES to drink from it. i finally got a new fountain today after i did fastest shipping and shes drinking like normal, can this be a result of dehydration? i do also only give her tiki cat wet food + some water mixed in so she has had liquid intake but less than usual considering she did not make a dent in the water bowl over the past 3 days. do we think i should take her vet asap or see how she does one more day?

I have posted here a few times about trying to create some tech that helps folks with autism and ADHD. I was curious how you all feel about talking to mental health providers? Like in particular, the process of calling the providers and making an appointment. Is this something that is annoying for you? I have been trying to find a provider for my brother for the past few weeks and called 11 providers and got 4 call backs, and we played phone tag until an appointment got booked.
Additionally, there's a service that allows you to automate the phone call using AI to call a bunch of different providers and get consultation appointments set up before you even need to do anything. It like automates the whole "booking" process for providers, you just throw in some phone numbers. Was wondering if any of you think this is helpful or would solve your problems
