I was in the first roaring kitty group when they shut it down during the trading day, soon before I realized that there were aggressive posts about buying coming from my account that I ended up deleting. I created another one and joined here, same thing happened in 2 days I received close to 1000 karma points due to posting that I didn't do (mind you I did post a few stuff here and there but never that much).Ended having to delete my second account and my discord as I made the dumb mistake of having similar passwords for all these accounts. Moral of the story : BE CAREFUL. I don't know if I got hacked by a Hedgie or a third party actor through a link but it was clearly to mass post stuff that could easily give the mods a reason to close down our sub such as "BUY" "SELL" and etc.... We did good today APES !

I've been scammed on facebook while looking for taylor swift tickets for Dublin... feel very stupid. This woman Amy Joyce promised legitimate selling and refund if the sale didn't go though. I was very sceptical throughout and she sent me a picture of her Denver Drivers licence, I took a risk. She initially said to send 400e to someone called "Thomas" via Paypal - friends & family (I never use PayPal and I didn't realise the problem with this...) then another 200e as the tickets couldn't be split up, so 600e for 4... then said she wanted another 350e for service charge. I refused then and she got angry. I demanded my money back - 600e and someone else, her "friend - Miley Leaks" sent me over 800e back. I said this was incorrect and wanted to send the extra 250e back to her. She gave me a different account to send the extra money back to. I thought that was it but now I've gotten a request from "Miley Leaks" for the 800e to be sent back to her for the tickets she didn't receive, lodged a complaint with PayPal about me.... It seems like Amy is using different PayPal accounts to con people into sending money and refunding money. I'm stuck now and no idea what to do. I've some screenshots and brought the situation to PayPal and facebook but it's so stressful and I'm so annoyed at myself!
Any idea how I can help myself in this situation? I'm afraid I've been hacked now too!

At the end of April, my Gmail was hacked into and all my passwords associated with my email were compromised (bank accounts, social media, phone service provider, pretty much anything and everything that was saved to the Google password manager). The moment I realized was when my TD Bank sent me an SMS alerting me that someone was trying to log into my account, and to confirm whether this was me or not.
While I was scrambling to contact TD and lock my cards/change my passwords, I receive an email from my PC money account telling me that around $120 have been successfully transferred. Surprise surprise, I didn't send that money. I call PC, and within 30 minutes the fraudulent e-transfer has been reported. Keep in mind, the transfer was still pending at the time, the money was not transferred. They tell me they will reach out to me through email when there is an update on the situation.
I call them back several times between then and today. When I call back today, the agent tells me the investigation is still pending, but he will transfer me to another agent. When the second agent picks up, she tells me that the investigation was concluded on May 9, and that they concluded that it was not fraud because it was the first outgoing e-transfer from that account. I'm so frustrated, why have they been leaving me hanging? Why did the first agent not have any information on the state of my account, where is the communication (within the company AND with me)? Where was the email, the call, any form of communication to alert me about the investigation? Which was bogus either way, this investigation was obviously just the legal team scraping to find a way to blame this on me rather than help me out.
Yes, I understand that I am responsible for having my email hacked into. However, in case this unfortunate situation happens to you, don't expect that PC will have your back. Do not depend on them the same way you depend on your main banks. They did not verify my identity, send me any alerts like TD did, and they did not cancel the pending transaction. I have cancelled my account, and will be encouraging my friends to not do so.

Is it possible that the scammer hacked her phone and got her contacts? Me, my mom, sisters, aunt, uncle, cousin, and dad have been flooded with some type of scam message or phone call. I have received one and everyone else has received 2-3. They were not coming in at this frequency before and not all at the same time like this. What's going on?

This is my third time doing FAFSA. I never had any issues doing it until now. I am going to be in my third year of college, hoping to finish community then transfer to uni during the Spring.
I started the application during late March unaware of how FAFSA changed. The question were easy and simple. But it's everything that happened after.
Neither of my parents have SSN. So when first trying to make them account I couldn't finish the process because it would send me back to make their accounts. Yes, I tried "hacks". Back arrow, different browser, different devices. Hence, I went to my financial aide office for help. They gave me the Attestion and Verification papers for both parents and a printed version of the FAFSA application.
Throughout April, I been trying to complete the FAFSA online application. My father has a foreign ID that we sent with a bill on the first of April. We couldn't sent anything for my mom because her only ID (foreign passport) expired on June 30 last year. We haven't received any response for my father and no advice on what to do with my mother. I been contacting FAFSA through April for answers and advice but didn't get any proper response and only got contradictory answers. None even gave a direct response on what to do with my mother who has no valid ID. My advisor tried (again) to make an account for my parents on their computer on late April and couldn't do it. One of the representatives told me that in order for the Atteation and Verification to work my parents already have an account to verify and told me to make one for them. I explained to them that I tried multiple times on different days and even my advisors tried but couldn't. That representative just repeated the same answer "try making them an account" with no help and no advice.
Hence, I sent a paper application and tracked it. It was recieved on April 28 and I still haven't got any news about it. Currently, it's May 21, so yeah maybe it is too soon to expect a response given how difficult the situation is. But as more time passes I get more anxiety. I read through online communities they won't process them until late May or early June.
I talked to FAFSA again today, since April, and the representative didn't give me a proper answer. All the other representatives reassured me that the paper form would take 2-3 weeks + another day for colleges to process. But this representative told me they won't process until later in the year and wouldn't clarify what they meant. They just kept repeating "later in the year" with no estimate or clarification on what exactly do they mean by "later in the year".
My parents of today (May 21), would contact the Spanish line on what to do. I recieved no help. No proper response. And only got contradictory answers and more questions.
I done the paper application form and got to its destination on April 28. I would be contacting my community college and expected university on what to do. I know some of y'all have done the paper applications because of the situation. If any news comes up particularly about my paper application I would update. In the meantime, I would still be trying the online application because at least I know it won't hurt my eligibility on the miracle chance my online application gets submitted.
I need advice on what to do. How do I complete the online application with Undocumented Parents. Do my parents already need an account for the Attestion and Verification to work? I tried making them an account because they don't have SSN I couldn't make them an account. My mother doesn't have any ID. I sent the paper application and got to its destination on April 28. I don't know what to do anymore.

SgtRigio here, wanted to share my recent experience with CCP.
On April 26th I was working on my house and I received a few discord messages from my eve friends wondering why I had taken out a significant amount of isk from the corporation wallet. I was immediately confused and denied withdrawing the isk as I had not been online in eve for about a week at which point I was presented with a screenshot of the corp transaction. I immediately attempted to log into my account only to find that all of my passwords had been changed, I began trying to reset my eve online account passwords, however when I tried to log into my email, I was met with numerous messages that there were too many log in attempts and to reset my password. After a long battle of trying to get access back for my email, I was finally able to get in and turn on two factor authentication to stop the brute force attack. I reset all of my passwords for eve online and tried to log in to assess the damage, but quickly learned that I was still logged out due to the hacker turning on a Google authenticator on all of my accounts. I filed a ticket with CCP on April 26th, 2024 and received an automated message saying they have received my ticket.
Since initially filing the ticket I have received zero responses from CCP dispite me sending additional information and a request for either an acknowledgment or an update on the ticket.
I've played even online on and off for over 10 years and I've maybe submitted one or two tickets during that time. I am deeply disappointed with the customer service I have received (or lack thereof). I paid for a full year of omega time on my credit card and have been locked out of my account since April 26th, 2024. As of writing this, it has been 25 days since I have filed the ticket with what feels like zero assistance from CCP.
Tldr: My eve account, email and discord all got hacked. Lost access to all of my accounts and likely lost my assets. Filed a ticket for support April 26th and it has been 25 days and have yet to receive any kind of response from CCP.

Hi All,
I have Cloudwatch Application Insights and notifications set up for an EC2 server. To start, I only allowed the basic set of metrics to be monitored as well as some specific to SAP and S4HANA. I also allowed for Systems Manager OpsCenter overview for issues as they arise. The problem is, I'm getting so many notifcations re: volume queue length and Metadata I/O bytes. I've tried adjusting the statistic and the threshold being used but I have no idea what threshold to set so that I only get notifications for actual issues. I've asked the appropriate folks on the client side several times to see if any users are reporting wait times or slow data transfer speeds so that I could adjust the IOPS (at a cost), but haven't heard back or had any negative reports.
I'm getting close to 40 notifications a day for a particular server and in order to point the SNS email to a client's email instead of my own (so that they receive the critical notifications) , I need to figure out how to reduce all noise.
Aside from meeting with an SAP rep to help me with this, are there any suggestions you can give for how to really hack away at the noise for those two 'anomalies' without using paid services like 'anomaly detector'?

My experience with Michelin in a complicated one. Having gone to one, two, and three Michelin star restaurants across the globe, I've seen Michelin do some great things for restaurants, but I've also seen them bring the demise of others.
Because it's quite apparent what good things come from being highlighted by Michelin, this post is more focused on some of my criticisms of the Michelin guide, and why I think the current structure of Michelin should be changed.
Maintaining "Michelin's definition" of the gold standard..
There have been a ton of amazing restaurants given a one star review. Restaurants don't even need to be "fine dining" to be given a Michelin star, as highlighted by some of the cheap eats that have received a one star review.
But a one star review, can at times, be a curse for restaurants. Often, restaurants receive one star reviews got there by showcasing there strengths. A passion for food and creativity, a desire to share culture or tradition, or an expression of a personal brand of art.
When a restaurant receives a one star review, two things happen.
  1. They begin to get huge influx of customers. Initially.
  2. They start to be compared to other one star restaurants, sometimes even two or three star.
The majority of the time, when a restaurant receives a one star review, the rapidly get a ton of customers wanting to try them. And in just a few months, they start to raise prices. Because money can change people.
And eventually, they start to act as more of a "tourist attraction", and start to lose the original loyal clientele that brought them to where they were in the first place.
Secondly, they begin to compare themselves to the standards of other "higher" Michelin star restaurants.
And that typically means focusing more on a particular brand of fine dining. Hyper-attentive service, an overuse of "micro complex food"(emulsions, purees, colorful vegetation). Just to name a few.
I've seen this unfortunately happen time and time again.
If your customers wanted to go to a Eleven Madison Park, they'd travel to New York. But don't turn your restaurant into a chain of fine dining. You'll start to lose the allure, and it starts to feel like the routine of Mcdonalds or Capital Grille.

Hello, I live in Germany and use an N26 bank account. Last November, I traveled to Vietnam and used my bank card. In March of this year, I received 4 notifications on my app indicating that 4 transactions had been made with the concept "FACEBK" + a code like V6DTN19S, all for the same amount of 48.49 euros. The amount originally appeared in Vietnamese dong but was converted to euros. I reported it, and after two months, Mastercard refunded the money. I blocked the card right away and received a new one.
Today, after that incident, I received another transaction for the same amount in Vietnamese dong (again 48.49 euros) under the concept of Meta, and it was made online.
I can understand that my card might have been cloned in Vietnam, but now that I have a new card, it doesn't make sense. Should I BLOCK my card again? Should I report it to Facebook? Can someone recommend how to proceed? I don't understand where my money continues to be hacked from. Thanks to all!

My Riot Account was hacked in 2023 and i walked through the riot support to receive it back (A week ago). Riot support helped me and i have my account back now. Kudos to them, everything worked fine and they were very friendly and helpful.
Yesterday my internet broke and i got a 7 day ban (playing in unrated) from comp play in valorant. I didn't play with my account since dec 22. This is the first ban after that time period. And even prior to that, i received very few afk notices, mainly due to que dodging or internet/computer problems.
I tried to contact support wanting to ask if the ban could be cut short but i realised i can't access the support page, when logged in to my account.
I get forwared to "https://login.playersupport.riotgames.com/error?error_code=CLIENT_ERROR" "We were unable to connect to the support site. Wait a minute or so before trying again."
And " Can't Login to support? " leads to a blank page.
I read that i could change the email to my initial email to open a ticket (reddit post, few years old), but i don't want to since it can lead to "suspicious activity" on my account.
How could i get in contact with the support, so my account isn't "shadowbanned" from riot support?
