Howdy Reddit!

Anyway I have some goods for you today from 90% below melt to some nice premium Gov't stuff. I also priced out my ASE's for anyone looking to fill some holes. As always feel free to send offers with comps if my prices are off, but I think everything should be inline with spot where it is at.
Alright here is the proof now let's get to the sale!

2024.05.18 21:15 Trick_Weapon Blazers Offseason Trade Preview and Partners - Long Form
In this second part of my "series", I am taking a look at the potential trades for the Blazers. If you'd like to read the first part on Toumani Camara, the link is here:
Offseason Review: Toumani Camara : ripcity (reddit.com) Without a clear consensus on draft prospects where 8-10 guys are all within the same tier, this draft cycle will see a lot of teams looking to move around and potentially trade down. The Blazers are in a unique position with 4 picks in the top-40, a few veteran players which will interest teams, and an all-star caliber player they might be looking to trade away. Now that the order is settled, I want to look at the Blazers assets, objectives, and 5 teams who are likely trade partners.
Primary Trade Assets:
- #7, #14, #34, #40 - The Blazers are in a good position to add talent in this year's draft and have a lot of flexibility to move around. At 7, they'll be able to draft one of those top tier players. At 14, there will be a at least one or two swings (Saluan, Missi, Williams, Dadiet, etc.) as well as really solid players (Carter, McCain, Da Silva, Knecht) available depending on who falls vs. rises. The two second round picks give us the opportunity to move up into the late first or might be valuable enough to move up a couple slots from #7 or #14.
- Malcom Brogdon â Brogdon is in his final year for $22M. He is a 6MOTY caliber player which every single playoff team could use on their roster. So much so that, of all the teams remaining, he would play big minutes for all of them except Boston. He also has value to teams like Detroit who could use a veteran presence. His expiring deal gives the team flexibility to another team's reduce cap long term, trade at the deadline in a larger package, or look to extend on a more team friendly deal with bird rights. The general consensus is he is worth a mid to late first round pick, such as a lottery protected first round pick from a contender.
- Anfernee Simons â Simons has two years left of an AAV of $26M. Some fans think Simons is not worth much. I would disagree. Simons is one of a handful of players who generates elite on and off ball gravity in the NBA. Any team he goes to, he would transform their offensive spacing. Weâll talk about fits in a bit, but I would look for a Dejounte Murray like package; a high-end prospect and 2 good draft picks.
- Jerami Grant â Grant is owed 4 years with an AAV of $32M. NBA media types like to call that out as an overpay, but Grantâs salary as a percentage of cap will decrease through the length of the contract as the cap rises. Grant is another player who instantly improves a contender as a third option. I would aim for at least one good first round pick, a decent prospect, and potentially a pick swap.
- Robert Williams III â Timelord is on a great contract â 2 years with an AAV of $12M. With his injury history, his value is hard to determine, but his contract makes it an easy trade piece. Steven Adams got 3 second round picks, so I think that is his floor. He is likely worth more to the Blazers than other teams at this juncture.
- Matisse Thybulle â Thybulle is another tradeable contract â 2 years with an AAV of $11M. The second year is a player option. I do not see him having negative value on that deal, but we are looking at 1-2 second round picks + a flier prospect.
- Jabari Walker â I like Jabari, but in the context of our rebuild, he is the odd man out. I think he might have some value in the league for a real future second.
- Dalano Banton â Similar to Jabari, he was a great find this year. With his performance, could be a good sweetener in a trade or be able to trade for a real future second round pick.
Offseason Objectives
Not only are assets important, but the overall objectives of the offseason. The way I see it, here are the Blazers objectives:
- Get more high-end talent, trading up may help guarantee us getting the best players we can. We should also aim to get a high caliber player who has already shown flashes in the NBA on a rookie scale deal.
- Get more shooting, we should definitely keep at least one of Brogdon, Grant, or Simons. I am in favor of trading Simons as he has the most value, and Grant / Brogdon are essential to giving our young guys enough spacing to develop. I also highly value shooting in this draft for that reason. The more spacing we have; the more likely Scoot and Sharpe develop into dudes.
- Get under the luxury tax. There is a lot of consternation and clickbait discussion the salary situation. It is massively overblown â the bigger priority is to simply consolidate the roster down to 14 active players. If we kept our two current first round picks, and cut Jabari and Banton, our salary would be: $172.6M. The Luxury tax threshold is 171.3M, a difference of just $1.3M.
- Consolidate roster / draft picks. We have 14 players on the roster with 4 draft picks. We should aim to consolidate around more high-end talent.
- Get more picks in 2025 / 2026. These are great drafts, and we'll have a better idea of our needs next year.
- (Nice to have) Get the future first unlocked from the Bulls. There is no urgency on the Blazers part to part with the pick. There is a chance it never conveys into a first (silver lining of us being terrible!). If it does, it is outside the lottery, and we are a good team. That said, if there is an opportunity for us to trade a second round pick this year to get control of that pick back, it is not a bad move.
With that in mind, letâs talk about 5 trade partners who I think we will be having constant conversations with: Philadelphia, Detroit, Orlando, Detroit, Chicago, and Memphis.
Please note all these trades are frameworks, the point is really to think about the primary value each team is getting back, along with the matching salary. The exact number of picks, the type of picks, the filler contracts, and the sweeteners are really guess-work. I wouldn't read too much into it.
Philadelphia: - Cap Space: Up to $65M.
- Draft Assets: #16, #41
- The 76ers can trade their 2024 first-round pick (16) starting the night of the draft. They also have the least favorable 2026 first from Oklahoma City, Houston (if 5-30) and the Clippers. They are owed an unprotected first from the Clippers in 2028 and have the right to swap firsts with LA in 2029 (if 4-30). In total, Philadelphia can trade up to five firsts starting in late June.
- Targets: Brogdon, Grant, RWIII
- Explainer: Philadelphia has a ton of cap space. They will likely make a run at George, LeBron, maybe Derozan, but if they strike out, they will want to look at the trade market. Grant feels like an ideal fit to pair with Maxey and Embiid. Brogdon is another option for them. This might be a good trade destination for Jabari and / or Banton, who can provide them with good depth to rebuild their roster on very team friendly contracts as sweeteners.
- Trades:
- Jerami Grant, Jabari Walker, Dalano Banton for #16, Least Favorable 2026 FRP, lottery protected 2030 FRP
- The Blazers get a pick this year, a pick next year, and a highly valuable first-round swap. To be honest, I have no idea the particulars here, but the point being is Grant for draft capital
- Malcom Brogdon for #16, 2027 second round from MIL, 2030 SRP from PHI.
- I could see us going for that least favorable 2026 FRP as well by including one or both our seconds.
Detroit: - Cap Space: Up to $66M.
- Draft Assets: #5, #53
- Detroit owes a first-round pick to New York that is top-12 protected in 2025, top-10 protected in 2026 and top-nine protected in 2027. The next available first-round pick the Pistons can trade is in 2029. They have no incoming first-round picks via trade. They have nine second-round picks available.
- Targets: Anfernee Simons, Malcom Brogdon
- Explainer: Detroit also has a ton of cap space, a lack of shooting, and a lack of veteran leadership. They could really use either Anfernee Simons or Malcom Brogdon. Simons is an ideal fit next to Cade to unlock the spacing Cade desperately needs. Detroit is also overhauling their front office, so who knows which players they value vs which they do not.
- Proposed Trades:
- Anfernee Simons & #14 for #5 and Ausar Thompson
- If the Pistons insist on keeping Ausar, Ivey is the player I would want. I would not include #14 in that scenario. Again, who knows how the new FO thinks about Ausar / Ivey.
- Malcom Brogdon & #7 for #5 and 2-3 SRP
- This trade assumes the Blazers have a target in mind at #5 they really want who might not make it to 7. Beyond that, the major benefit is giving the team substantially more cap and roster flexibility. It is possible we could include some real sweeteners, like Kris Murray, to move up from #14 to #5. We could also look to include #16 assuming we get it from PHI in a Grant trade. In that scenario, we would have to get one shooter like Risacher, Sheppard, or Knecht for one of those top 2 picks.
Orlando
- Cap Space: Up to $35 million
- Draft Assets: #18, #47
- The Magic are one of seven teams that control their own first-round pick over the next seven years. They can also trade swap rights each year. The Nuggets owe the Magic a first-round pick. It is top-5 protected in 2025, 2026 and 2027. Orlando has the right to swap its 2026 first for the less favorable of Phoenix and Washington. Orlando has 12 second-round picks available.
- Targets: Anfernee Simons, Malcom Brogdon
- Explainer: Much has been made of Anfernee Simons to the Magic, and for good reason. Aside from him being from Orlando, much like with Cade, Simons would unlock Paolo and Franz in a real way. For the Blazers, the Magicâs major draft assets and young talent of Anthony Black and Jett Howard are enticing. Brogdon is another option here if the Magic are looking for a one-year player to give them veteran leadership and spacing with more long-term flexibility.
- Proposed Trades:
- Anfernee Simons, #40 for Anthony Black, #18, 2025 unprotected FRP, 2030 pick swap.
- Blazers get exactly what they are looking for, a major trade up in 2024, a high value prospect, a 2025 first, and a pick swap far into the future. Some do not think Black will fit with the Blazers, but that is a problem down the road. Let us see how he plays with our other core. Given how well Banton played, Black could be a much better version of him. Banton may also be a sweetener in the deal. Blazers could look to take on Cole Anthonyâs contract as well to give the magic more cap flexibility. Another permutation could see RWII be swapped for WCJ or Thybulle.
- Malcom Brogdon, RWIII for a 2025 lottery protected FRP, WCJ.
- The Blazers accomplished two goals here. They get another FRP in 2025. While it may be lower in order, it is possible Orlando will take a small step back. Something in the late teens is very valuable in next yearâs draft. We also gain cap flexibility, and swap RWIII for WCJ who have extremely similar contracts.
Chicago
- Cap Space: Likely none.
- Draft Assets: #11
- The Bulls can trade their own 2024 first-round pick starting on the night of the draft. They owe a first-round pick to the Spurs that is top-10 protected in 2025 and top-8 protected in 2026 or 2027. They are owed a first-round pick from Portland that is top-14 protected over the next four years. If the first is not conveyed, the Trail Blazers will send a 2028 second. The Bulls have three second-round picks available.
- Targets: Jerami Grant, Malcom Brogdon, Matisse Thybulle, Deandre Ayton
- Explainer: The Bulls are looking to still be competitive enough to sell seats and be stuck in mediocrity. They are likely looking to build around Coby White. The Blazers have plenty of high-level role players which could be interesting. For the Blazers, they could target trading up from 14 to 11, targeting Pat Williams in a S&T, and getting that flexibility back as a Sweetener.
- Proposed Trades:
- #34, 2028 SRP for the rights for the Blazers pick back
- The Bulls might really like someone at 34 and value it as a first-round pick value. If that is the case, and the Blazers are not as enamored with someone in that range, it is advantageous for both sides to resolve the pick now.
- Malcom Brogdon, #14 for Lonzo Ball, #11, rights to the Blazers pick back.
- Like the above trade, the Bulls might value bringing in Brogdon to improve their roster. All it costs them is dumping Lonzoâs contract, moving 3 spots back in the draft, and the Blazers pick back. Blazers could put in #40 as a sweetener.
- Patrick Williams S&T (5 years - ~$125M), Jevon Carter, Dalen Terry, for Jerami Grant
- This trade is a bit more complicated, but the framework is Patrick Williams for Jerami Grant. If the Blazers are high on Williams and the Bulls might not want to commit to him, the Bulls get an immediate upgrade to âwin now.â The additional salary could come from a few different angles, but I would like to also like to get Dalen Terry or Julian Phillips as a sweetener. If Williams gets a bit more salary, then less salary filler is necessary. High risk, High reward for Blazers.
Memphis
- Cap Space: Likely None
- Trade Exception: The Grizzlies have a $12.6 million dollar trade exception from the Steven Adams, which RWIII and Thybulle can fit into.
- Draft Assets: #9, #39, #57
- The Grizzlies control their own first-round picks over the next seven years. They also have the right to swap their own 2026 first for the less favorable of Phoenix, Orlando, and Washington. The Grizzlies also have the right to swap their own 2030 first for the less favorable of the Suns and Wizards. Memphis has six second-round picks available.
- Targets: #7, RWIII, Matisse Thybulle
- Explainer: Memphis may be incentivized to trade-up a couple slots if they are enamored with Donovon Clingan (or another prospect) and he is there at #7. They also might be interested in trading back to #14 if they are more interested in a center available in that range, such as Missi, Edey, Ware, etc. I have a feeling this is a team that will target Edey given their history of valuing analytics and not caring as much about physical attributes.
- Proposed Trades:
- #7 for #9 and Vince Williams Jr
- Sam Vecenie proposed this trade. The Blazers move back two slots and get a good young wing.
- #14 and RWIII OR Matisse Thybulle for #9
- The Grizzles got another win-now player for moving back 5 spots and utilizing their trade exception.
I think my next post will be my NBA draft big board. Please share your thoughts below, and if you are curious about any other potential trade partners, happy to think about them more!

2024.05.18 19:49 afterandalasia Oxventure Overall: The Good and the Bad (Spoilers for the whole run!)
So, I'm seeing some mixed reactions to the last season, and honestly I'm feeling them myself as well, so I decided to sit down and sort of breakdown and analyse some of what happened over the course of Oxventure, what seemed to go well and what didn't, and maybe try to get into some litcrit of the whole thing.
Warning: I'm not always nice in this write up, though I have done my best to be fair and honest throughout in what I think the potential pitfalls were and how I hope they might be better addressed in future campaigns.
I've played D&D myself for a few years, listened to other Actual Play series (notably NADDPOD and some D20 at one end of the competency-of-players scale, and Dragon Friends and Dungeons and Drongos at the other), and write... a lot. Including over 250k of fanfic specifically for Oxventure, which started off as an excuse for smut but ended up being a lot of worldbuilding.
System & Setting
Johnny has made no secret that they're not a huge fan of D&D, indicating that they feel it overshadows other systems, and given that the Spicy Rat Caper was meant to be a one-off but fans loved it perhaps they felt a little trapped in the system. This did lead to some funny moments (Faire Trial and Max commenting that they sometimes felt "like a big dice rolling around a tray" sticks with me) but sometimes felt a bit mean-spirited ("Crawl Me Maybe" and the heavy 'lol dungeon crawling is so ridiculous' comes to mind).
It was also clear that at times, none of the group seemed to know the game and the rules super well. From Mike not knowing his movement speed ("30 what? Miles an hour?") to Merilwen not using her animal forms or changing out her spells until level 8, to the underpowering of most of the classes, it became more of an issue as time when on in some ways.
It's easy enough to understand why, live on stage and starry-eyed at Harry McEntire as Aubrey, Johnny missed that in the combat Aubrey cast two levelled spells in the same round (against the rules) as well as using two sorcery spell modifiers in the same round (also against the rules, and they mentioned this on the podcast). Sorcerer was also a new class to everyone, and dealing with a new class is always going to be difficult, especially dropping them in at a higher level rather than starting from level 1 and building up.
However, bluntly, most of the guild weren't using their class/subclass abilities to the fullest. Rules lawyer Andy did the best, so he gets a pass here, and Ellen got sharper with Merilwen over time to stuff like knowing her spell components, tracking her spell slots, and preparing her spells. However, the concept of Egbert as "a paladin who doesn't do paladin things" (quote from the post-Deadlands discussion) was ultimately really limiting not just for Egbert (Mike commented in one podcast episode that he felt he'd trapped himself in only using Egbert's abilities in ways that were funny) but for the entire concept of paladins - Max might as well have been a fighter in the fight in Gnome Alone that they took part in, and we never saw Shattershield fight at all. There were references to combat offscreen in Out of Order, but... that was it. (Additionally, while paladins can be poisoned, as poison and disease are different in 5e rules, paladins can pump out a LOT of healing, and a citadel full of them should have a lot of magical reserves to draw on as a result.)
And Egbert isn't the only one who was limited. One of the biggest features of Great Old One warlocks (which Prudence is, with Cthulhu), is that from level one they have telepathy within 30ft ("Awakened Mind"). Prudence went the entire campaign without using this. Although Johnny allowed the Message cantrip to be treated like this, allowing people to reply to it when RAW it is one-way only, this meant that Dob also essentially gained Prudence's power because he also had Message. Merilwen was limited in her animal forms and the spells that she knew up until level 8, and it was noticeable how everyone was shocked at her power once she had full RAW druid range. CorazĂłn, on the other hand, not only had Andy keeping on top of all of his class and subclass features, but got two subclasses, leaving him about on par or slightly overpowered for the level he should have been looking overpowered because the others didn't use their abilities so well. Meanwhile, Dob was given access to full bardic abilities, but only used bardic inspiration in some of their level 1 adventures and then not much again until the final season.
The counterpart to this under-utilisation of class potential was the amount of 'rule of cool' or 'rule of funny' which sometimes worked well (Merilwen befriending the owlbear in Quiet Riot, or the reflavouring of Thunder Wave to do lightning damage instead based on their initial misunderstanding) and sometimes ended up breaking the game (the "everyone can cast Moonbeam" joke that escalated to the scrolls of Moonbeam that made the finale kind of laughable). Sometimes this seemed to be the time and audience pressure of live shows (allowing Prudence to use the hammer to wheel her way through the skeletons in Stop Hammer Time), but other times it was just letting them do things that went outside the rules (Egbert body-slamming six(?) Otherberts at once in Bad Altitude, or Dob casting all his spells at once in Corpse and Robbers) seemingly preferring the immediate humour or "yes and" over the potential internal logic or end implications.
The contrast between this permissiveness, sometimes to the point of breaking logical immersion, honestly seemed sharper to me when it was laid against Andy's GMing in Deadlands. Whether it was reminding people that there were snipers on the rooftops in Dead Man's Worth or refusing to yes-and a chandelier in More Wonders Than, he made it more difficult for the players and in doing so made them work harder within their skillsets and the setting, making the victories feel harder-won as a result. I'm aware that some people didn't like Andy's GMing specifically because he was less permissive, but I believe that his intention - and the outcome - was a stronger narrative that made the characters feel active and not just lucky. (Liliana lampshaded this in Frenemy at the Gates when she asked whether things often just fell into their laps, like with knowing Binbag, and it almost felt like a spiteful comment so it surprised me to hear it from Johnny.)
What I hope: It has been indicated that Johnny has created the new setting for the next game, so hopefully they have put things more to their liking at the beginning and will not end up seeming to dunk on the premise of their own series. I'm also hoping for everyone to either use more standardised rules, or at least establish in-game standards at the beginning so that all of the characters, and players, feel like they're on a level playing field from the off. Johnny seemed to much more enjoy the systems of Blades in the Dark and Deadlands (which were designed to be less superhero-level) and even the lower levels of Oxventure (especially Tier 1) where the characters were just people who were skilled but not particularly out of the range of normality; I'd be interested to see whether they lean more in that direction and keep the characters lower-powered as a result.
Characters & Character Arcs
Again, it's worth noting that the characters were initially conceived as being for a one-off game, so the initial concepts did not necessarily need planned arcs. However, the rockiness of some of the arcs overall may have contributed to issues with the series, especially as it stretched out over so many years. I'll go through the PCs alphabetically, then Liliana, then mention any other NPCs. There are two elements here - in-character goals, and character arc goals, which both play into things.
CorazĂłn - in my opinion, CorazĂłn had one of the stronger character arcs, which may reflect Andy's interest in writing (and now being published!), going from the coward pirate-wannabe who abandoned his crew to the curse, to the person who threw himself in front of a spell meant for Merilwen. This was highlighted in his reply to Them in Prism Break, even before the Power Word Kill spell. In fact, the Power Word Kill brought a level of pathos to the fact that he had told Them that he was not even done growing as a person. Andy commented on the podcast at some point that he had expected at the beginning to be one of the more morally shady characters (as a pirate), but found himself playing a line of being immoral regarding money but caring deeply about physical hurt or harm to people. CorazĂłn also had two layers of in-character goals - to break the curse (limited) and to become a betterichereal pirate (more open-ended) and find his own identity which allowed him to carry character development over the years even when the curse was ignored for extended periods. Goals: clear and stepped, with the curse as a plot-hook; arc: good and perfectly timed for the finale.
What I hope for: More of the same, really.
Dob - Dob came in early with a clearly defined goal (to find his sister) - but this was done in Brawl of the Wild and Dob has been sort of... undefined ever since. It absolutely makes sense that he would have floundered for a while, but Dob has gone several years without settling on new goal, and Luke also didn't seem to settle on a character arc (the romance subplot in Orbpocalypse Saga through Bride or Die seemed to be almost a character arc, but never got full payoff?) which left Dob feeling... well, at times it almost seemed like Luke wanted to get rid of him to play someone else instead. This was unfortunately also highlighted in conversation with Them, as the response that Dob gave was about him being a "mote of chaos". I obviously couldn't speak for others, but I found this underwhelming and unconvincing as an answer, as it didn't give me any sense of why a powerful celestial being would consider this an argument - if Dob had developed the argument to be that chaos is generative and creative in a way that pure order cannot be, and/or that the free will and agency of sapience demand that they be allowed to act and to try even if they make mistakes or fail, I think there might have been something there, but he didn't really seem to. Goals: had one which formed a good plot-hook, then went without; arc: unclear.
What I hope for: Luke to determine more of a character arc, or series of shorter arcs, perhaps drawing from his Blades in the Dark DMing experience, and to either pick a more open-ended goal or to move along a series of goals over time.
Egbert - Egbert came in with the vaguer goal of "atonement", which gave him more wiggle room, but unfortunately didn't seem to actively pursue it a lot of the time. In Legacy of Dragons it was revealed that he was searching for atonement for the deaths of two Dragon D'Or members - but by this time, so many people around the Oxventurers had died, including innocent bystanders, that the deaths of two other paladins felt like nothing. (Mike commented, again on the podcast, that he agreed with the commenters at the time who agreed that they knew it was his backstory from the beginning because only two paladins had died. The two figure paled next to the collateral damage that the party later caused.) Mike also commented on the podcast that during lockdown, he had made a conscious change with Egbert in to try to avoid combat as much as possible, and to avoid fatal attacks if in combat, but it wasn't clear how long that lasted. It may have been trying to avoid being the annoying/preachy paladin that stopped him from trying to influence the rest of the party or to save lives around them, but unfortunately it meant that it was difficult to see a real sense of wanting to atone in Egbert's arc. Letting innocents die around him isn't exactly less culpable than killing them himself. (Notable incidents included Mule Be Sorry, Wrangle in the Tangle, Hag Reflex, and Squid Pro Quo.) In terms of character arcs, there was definitely an element of going from seeking approval from Dragon D'Or to seeking that of his friends, but that was just a switching of approval-seeking rather than a significant change. Goals: had one, but didn't seem to actively pursue it; arc: moved from pursuing the morals of Dragon D'Or to pursuing the morals of the Oxventurers.
What I hope for: Mike to come back with a character who seeks to pursue their own goals more directly (see Barnaby and Silas, who both felt much stronger in this sense).
Merilwen - Merilwen was supposed to be about balance and protecting nature, but didn't always heavily engage with this point of view, even when the actions of the other Oxventurers should have absolutely led to discussions or disagreements between them. Many people commented on Andy being dickish about shooting seabirds in Legacy of Dragons, but there are other incidents, including the Wrangle in the Tangle (again), Eldritch or Die Trying (where it would have been interesting to see Merilwen's preference for nature clash with the need for the crystal) and the Extinction season which seemed to veer between being set up to be about Merilwen, then swapping to Dob-centric, then cleaning up Corazon's curse. In terms of character arc, I think there might be an element that can be teased out about her not fitting in with elf society and fitting in better with the faster-paced, more chaotic world of shorter-lived peoples, but this feels like speculation on my part more than something intended. Naturally, a character of around 100 is not going to feel as suited to a coming-of-age story as younger ones, but characters of all ages should be able to have character arcs. (Even if they might be slower in longer-lived people like elves - an example I can go to here is Galadriel, from Tolkien, who in her youth was proud and refused a pardon that would have allowed her to return to Valinor, but at the end of LOTR is humble enough to accept and go there. It took millennia for her, but it was a character arc all the same!) In Merilwen's conversation with Them, her uncertainty seemed to talk to this - a lack of clarity about where her characterisation was supposed to have gone over the last few years. I think there was a real opportunity here to explore Merilwen's relationship with morality and the difference between neutrality and passiveness, which unfortunately was missed. Goals: was supposed to be about nature but didn't push for it; arc: [speculation] seeking a non-elven community that she matched better with.
What I hope for: Ellen to have a character with more defined goals or arc, or gaps still to be filled in, rather than a static momentary sketch of personality/character that doesn't feel designed to be changed over time. Again, Lilith with her secrets/looking into the paranormal, and Edie with her goal to help people in a world in which monsters aren't going away, felt stronger as characters with goals and arcs, and I'd be happy to see more of that.
Prudence - Ambitious from the off, Prudence never actually struggled for goals - power, knowledge, magic, influence. The open-endedness of these goals once again served Prudence pretty well for carrying her through individual adventures/games and over the course of the whole canon, even if she didn't come in with clearly-defined (plot hook) goals like CorazĂłn's curse. For the first few years, it felt that her character arc wasn't hugely significant, although there was certainly an element of found family over selfishness that played into it, but Jane also discussed (again, in the podcast) how the werebear element was really quite exciting for her as it allowed her to begin to explore the clash between werebear Lawful Good status and Prudence's usual Chaotic Evil desires. Eldritch or Die Trying explored this in a somewhat exaggerated way, with Cthulhu offering power in exchange for the destruction of the others (I suspect in Prudence's question about specifying people, she was trying to figure out whether she could kill just Liliana) which was a somewhat blatant nod to the character arc but did underline it. (Unlike the others, this also established Prudence's character arc before Them.) Goals: open-ended in a way that leaves them technically incomplete even now but which were stably useful throughout canon; arc: de-isolation and alignment shifting (in a way that should have been ripe for playing off against Liliana's) which played out well.
What I hope for: A character with perhaps some more specific or plot-hook goals as well as broader life goals. Prudence's character arc played out more subtly than CorazĂłn's and sometimes perhaps got lost behind the louder personalities of some of the others, but I do think was well done. A less obvious way to explore or demonstrate it would have been nice.
Liliana - So. Here we go. Liliana was essentially a DMPC for the last season, but was a recurring character before that, with a stated goal of subjecting part or all of G'eth and broader goals (indicated or stated in Prism Break and the finale season generally) of academic/scholarly improvement, arcane knowledge, and the notion of making people appreciate what they have by threatening to take it from them. As a villain, she was threatening, and the layering of goals once again worked here, even with the abrupt movement to 'save G'eth' in the last season because, well, you can't rule what no longer exists. However, I am honestly confused as to what her character arc was supposed to be - whether her stated change of heart in front of Them was real, or whether that was a lie that Them somehow did not call out or challenge. Considering in Frenemy at the Gates, Liliana says that Prudence is the most like her, there was a potential here to play against Prudence's character arc of coming to trust others, even appreciate others, and facing the consequences of suffering making her realise her own flawed logic. I really do not know whether her betrayal of the guild was planned from the beginning (in which case, her talking to Them feels like it was overplayed, and Them should have challenged her on it) or whether Johnny added it because the fight against the giant was over more quickly than anticipated (compare to Dine Hard where the chef was the one person they did not stat up because they didn't expect the guild to fight him). Goals: logical, stepped, and worked for a villain; arc: ????? was there an arc? Was it fake? Was it desperation? Why did she, on 1 hitpoint, try to Power Word Kill Prudence instead of Teleporting away?
What I hope for: I don't know, with this one, really. Liliana's weird arc feels more related to the odd pacing of the last season than an underlying characterisation issue, for me, so I think it's more related to pacing/wanting Oxventure campaign 1 to close out.
Player Etiquette
...okay, this one is going to be a little bit harsh, perhaps. But the main campaign, more than either Blades in the Dark or Deadlands, really suffered from certain players having a bout of Main Character Syndrome.
I say specifically players here, because it was entirely in-character for certain characters (largely CorazĂłn) to think of themselves as the main character and behave as such. However, even if the characters think that, is generally considered good etiquette for the players to treat each other as equals, let each other take turns in the spotlight, and have their Moments.
Good examples would be the group letting Merilwen be the main character in Peak Performance, Prudence explore her sundered relationship with Cthulhu during the Orbpocalypse Saga, or Dob showing off his acting bard chops in Dine Harder.
However, at various times, various people have overstepped. Sometimes in live shows where the audience response and excitement probably played a role (Rolling in the Deep) it's more understandable, but it also happened elsewhere. Mike got some flack for picking up the eyepatch at the end of Cursed Case Scenario and 'ruining' CorazĂłn's moment, but even Johnny called Andy out for muscling in on Dob's subplot in Court in the Act, and Life Finds a Dob was almost uncomfortable at times. There was also something of a trend of Dob deliberately acting against the party for unclear reasons (possibly meant to be humour?) - either running away from them in Life Finds a Dob, refusing to 'share' Corazon's body in Portal Combat, or his contrary behaviour in Hunter Pressure in not wanting to fight the hunters/murderers they were facing.
I'm not sure whether this trend of contrariness fed into the unclear character arc that I mentioned above, or the other way around, or whether the two just fed into each other.
The most extreme example of this was, undoubtedly, Dob jumping in on the shoot-off between Liliana and Prudence right at the end of Portal Combat. Liliana approached Prudence in Frenemy at the Gates because they were the most alike. Prudence was the one with the first kill of the whole campaign, using Eldritch Blast, against the party's wishes and CorazĂłn's protests specifically - how appropriate would it have been for her to get the last kill of the campaign, with Eldritch Blast, in defense of herself and her party and as retribution for CorazĂłn? But instead, Luke inserted Dob into the standoff and Johnny played into it, even to the absurd extent of letting the skeletons use Time Stop (a 9th Level spell) just to explain why Dob's whole conversation with them could take place faster than Prudence could fire off an eldritch blast. CorazĂłn's self-sacrifice and Merilwen's reveal of her Reincarnation spell was therefore also partially overshadowed by Dob sacrificing his magic for one more hitpoint of damage on Liliana rather than letting Prudence have her moment.
What I hope for: some of the lessons learned from other campaigns to lead the players to be better at taking turns, both in terms of people not trying to be the Main Character at inappropriate moments, players stepping up and into the leading role when it is appropriate for them to do so, and Johnny more actively monitoring the balance between the players and shutting down some of the more egregious behaviour
Morality
This... isn't actually going to be complaining about characters behaving immorally or even being evil. Prudence is honestly a great example of how to play an evil character in a way that doesn't break a party, while CorazĂłn works as being immoral about money but moral about hurting people (at least most of the time). I've also thoroughly enjoyed some other games in which the characters have been far from moral (NADDPOD's Trinyvale series is a good example of this - the characters are scam artists, grifters and egotists, and the DM commented that "character growth doesn't have to be positive!"; they complain the entire time while saving the world).
But it's consistency that is more of a sticking point, as well as the player treatment of the moral positions of the party. It's hard to know how to treat the morals of the party when they vary from letting a town burn for being slightly annoying (Mule Be Sorry) to most of the team being ready to forgive a hag who used to eat human(oid) children (Hag Reflex). This isn't just the players either - Stop Hammer Time used the murder of children as a joke, and marked a change in tone for the treatment of NPCs and civilians as not mattering compared to the preferences or comfort of the main characters. The skeletons killing the children wasn't even some sort of monkey's paw scenario about asking for there to be no more orphans in the town, either - it was just nasty shock value, in many ways. And playing this sort of thing for humour makes it quite hard to handle some of the rest of the series as a result.
There also felt like a dissonance, at times, between the objective morality of the characters and how the players seemed to want them to be treated. Prudence never claimed to be anything other than evil, from shooting someone with eldritch blast during the Spicy Rat Caper to enjoying Hammerdahl's necromancy in Extinction - Jane even indicated that she wanted to explore shifting Prudence's alignment post-Fast and the Furriest, which can be seen as Prudence is much less interested in random acts of destruction and seems quite happy to get her kicks scaring or torturing people (Silent Knight) or watching the gruesome spectacle at the end of Knight Shift. So Jane's plans matched Prudence's behaviour - a softening of her deliberately evil acts, but still happy to let others be evil.
For the others, though, it didn't always match. Merilwen's "True Neutral" label often felt more like passively letting her party members be evil, rather than actively seeking balance, Egbert was supposed to be on the search for atonement but regularly allowed or took part in atrocities, and Dob seemed more inclined to act on what the audience or Luke thought was funny (or even deliberately seeking to be contrary) rather than following a consistent attitude to morality. His vaguely annoyed "Skeletons!" and hands on hips in return to "It's orphans, boss" was clearly played for laughs, and in Mule Be Sorry he turns on the town easily, which then makes it feel strange when in Hag Reflex he objects to letting the hag live. Dob's infatuation with Liliana and Katie Pearlhead, both of whom have killed or caused the deaths of great numbers of people, also makes it harder to take his claims to morality at all seriously. The potential moral issues of Merilwen killing the Otherberts to prevent them from taking a message to Liliana (Bad Altitude) is turned into accusing her of "war crimes", but it is absurd in the face of how many other innocent bystanders the guild had killed or caused to die in other stories (from as early as Quiet Riot, in which the paladins were annoying but killing them was honestly overboard, to as late as Squid Pro Quo where Dob seemed to forget that five people had died and then brushed off the deaths).
NPCs also got hit by this at times, from the town mayor in Mule Be Sorry (again) who put his townsfolk on spike growth just to cross it, to the chef in Dine Harder who was abruptly made a cannibal to get a fight going, to the decay of morally Good characters like Captain Shattershield turning away from the Upside Down Mistmire when in his first appearance he had been willing to fight Death itself for being on Mistmire's grounds. It's hard to take seriously moral questions about keeping the Dragon Under Mistmire in its shelter, and the accidentally-caused deaths of two paladins, when the guild has been responsible for much worse.
What I hope for: an approach to morality that does not prioritise momentary humour over consistency; evil behaviour to be acknowledged as evil and owned rather than treated as protagonist-centric; a moral balance which makes it possible to really explore moral issues and concerns rather than extreme behaviour which then makes it impossible to treat conflict seriously. Legacy of Dragons, as a standalone arc seeking Egbert's redemption, exploring the protection vs freedom of the gold dragon, and considering how to improve vs break systems, had some really great potential - but because of extreme 'rule of funny' behaviour in the past, it was impossible to really feel that it had the moral gravitas and weight that it deserved. When the skeletons go from murdering a dozen innocent children (Stop Hammer Time) to giving Merilwen a bad haircut (Mean Gulls) and this is almost treated as somehow consistent in evilness, it makes it harder to respect the characters or the expectation of moral standards.
The Good: The humour, the quick-wittedness, the variety of stories. Roleplaying moments such as Egbert and Shattershield in Legacy of Dragons, CorazĂłn putting his old self behind him at the Curse Hole, or Merilwen saying "I'll make you" to Vex.
The Bad: Unclear character arcs, inconsistent moralities, underpowered classes but at the same time game-breakingly permissive DMing, and some Main Character Syndrome moments.
The Hope: Learning from teething issues and setting up a game system that the DM doesn't resent so much, to better enable people to balance and play off each other in a less jarring and more consistent way.

I finished another Radiant Dawn run on the hardest difficulty and felt the bug to talk about tier listing again. Thanks for indulging me. My list:
https://i.imgur.com/8d4aPNg.png Some commentary, from worst to best.
F Tier: Lyre - This character has literally nothing going for her. Lyre has terrible bases, the worst class in the game, bad growths, and no endgame potential beyond being a mediocre filler unit. I can't imagine a worse character in Fire Emblem. Maybe Sophia. Even if you wanted to do an all-Laguz run, she can't crack the top 10. She isn't even force deployed on any maps. I cannot think of a single positive thing to say about Lyre.
Fiona - With even worse bases than Lyre and a baffling availability schedule, Fiona should be the worst unit in the game, but at least her class is solid. Female Silver Knight has bad caps overall, but good weapon types, speed, and a top-tier mastery talent. If you can endure the grind, you can make a unit with real contributions in the endgame. I feel like the game designers hate this unit, though; they make her arrive in a map themed around rescuing, but don't even let you recruit her to do any rescuing. The very next map is indoors. After that, we go to a swamp which is once again themed around rescuing, but Fiona isn't even available! After that? Another indoor map! Then another swamp! Then more cliffs! 3-13 is considered an indoor map and penalizes horse units! Literally the first map with wide open spaces to take advantage of cavalry classes that allows you to deploy Fiona is in Part 4. Her class level and bases are even bugged (allegedly). I can't believe how this game is engineered to ruin Fiona, and it's a miracle that she isn't the worst unit in the entire game.
Kyza - While he can be crafted into a tolerable lategame unit (better than many on this list who rank higher), there just isn't any reason to do so. He's got a terrible class (only cat laguz are worse), bad bases, and joins in a big pile of units that are a hundred times better at everything he can do. Need a tank? You've already got Brom and Gatrie on the team, and they don't untransform halfway through enemy phase. Kyza has the crown for most forgettable, pointless unit, but at least if you do train him for the experience, you get a unit that can kind of do something late game.
Makalov - Easily the worst of all cav units, any chance Makalov has to be good late game is betrayed by his poor class caps. He nearly escaped F tier by having a few useful turns in Part 2, but after some consideration, I honestly think he's more of a liability than helpful. The only units he can reliably hurt in Geoffrey's Charge are the ones that give you bexp if you spare them. I don't even like putting out fires with him; let the yellow units do it, so they don't run off and get themselves killed. Makalov is just a trainwreck of a character. At least he gets Sol.
Pelleas - As a secret character with a completely unique weapon type, you'd think unlocking him gets you access to some outstanding lategame growth unit with a big payoff for all your hard work. Nope. You get the worst mage in the game instead. While I give him a glimmer of usefulness for the potential to learn staves, you have to invest heavily in him to get there and it's just pointless when even Tormod can do the same thing for cheaper. I can't imagine a run where I'm relying on Pelleas as my 12th string healer for the tower. If you haven't really looked into the numbers, and you decide one day "I'm doing a Pelleas run!" you're going to find his bases shocking. What were they thinking here?
D Tier: Sephiran - Kind of an easter egg at the end of the game, I considered not rating him at all (like the Burger King), but eh, he contributes something against Ashera I guess. Can't say much more here. Maybe, in an ironman, if you've lost all your non-Micaiah staffbots, you'll be glad when he joins? For barely squeezing out a microniche he escapes F tier.
Sanaki - Maybe I'm underrating her, but I just don't see the point. She needs heavy investment (particularly in seraph robes) to be able to survive the bosses of the tower. When she joins, she's just another subpar mage who doesn't even have the decency to learn staves. Her one saving grace is that she doesn't count against your 10 tower selections, so if you slap a paragon on her and get her battle ready, she can bless Meteor or something and make some contributions. The resources (including combat xp) you pour into her are better used on your real tower units.
Astrid - I considered dumping her in F tier. What the heck happened to the star paragon unit of Path of Radiance? Somehow, she's turned into a turd of a growth unit with atrocious bases, mediocre growths, and wacky availability. I only pulled her out of the gutter because of her class, and even with really awful strength and defense caps, she can turn into a solid tower unit. I've used her before and found she was legitimately not a waste of space as early as 4-1, where she was popping falco knights. I could see her be a good bird sniper in the Izuka map. Still, like all bad growth units, she's just not worth the effort.
Kurthnaga - While he can be fun to train, again, why? He provides the least useful of all dragon auras and just takes XP from your many units who still need it. Maybe make a Kurth juggernaut once for the experience, and then never again. If he joined at the start of Part 4, I can imagine him getting boosted a couple tiers, but nah, you can't be picking up new projects this late in the game.
Meg - Often times called the worst unit in the game, she is...somewhat underrated... as a midgame tank. A project unit for sure, and not worth it, but Meg does grow into a strong unit around 1-E and for all of Part 3. She can solo Ragnell Ike and the field of laguz in 3-13 pretty easily. You've got better options for that, but I do recommend experiencing a Meg run once just to see that it can be done. Ultimately, though, Meg can't escape D tier because her awful class caps betray her in the end, and her best attribute (speed) gets cut off at the knees.
Vika - The Tormod Squad all suffer from the availability curse, but Vika has it worst, since she desperately needs training to be viable at all. As if laguz weren't bad enough already, they can't take Discipline or upgrade weapons by any means other than the long, dark strike rank grind, and Vika has no time at all to do it. That leaves only her joining maps to recommend her, and she can do things like poke-canto or rescue villagers in the swamp, so that's something. If you force yourself to train her, she does gain incredible speed, but hitting twice for 0 isn't impressive. Her class also has cat-like gauge drain, and she can't gain any experience in part 1 due to bizarre laguz xp math, leaving Vika no angles to improve.
Stefan - Thrown in at the end like an afterthought, Stefan is (I would argue) the worst of all the Tower Gotohs, that is, the units that just join at the very end to make sure you have high level units for the tower. With bad luck and a fairly bad class, the only reason I can recommend bringing Stefan is if you want an Alondite unit and you don't like Renning for some reason. He just doesn't serve any purpose. He even joins in a map that locks down his movement. Take his sword and bench him.
Ena/Gareth - I put them together because they fill the same role: buffing your units to fight Ashera. While Gareth is legendary for getting wrecked by magic, Ena is arguably worse, as Ashera's physical attack can kill her too. While that's not nothing, I can't justify taking someone out of D tier when their entire purpose is to help a faster clear in one map, and you don't even really need them.
C tier: Tauroneo - I had a hard time rating Big T. He pops in to dominate just a couple of chapters before disappearing until part 4. He's the worst Marshall, but gets boosted a tier over Meg because of his efforts in part 1. Marshall is a pretty bad class, but if you want one anyway, you've got two much better options that have tons of availability, so don't bother.
Heather - In a game that doesn't care much about thiefy stuff, Heather just doesn't have a key role to fill. She gets you a couple of stat boosters, which you can promptly feed to your units that cap everything anyway. I'll give her a leg up out of the worst tiers because she can rescue you in Oliver's Mansion if you ran out of chest keys, and the Fortify Staff is really, really good.
Muarim - Unlike Vika, he dominates his few part 1 maps, and he's still viable in Part 4 with his bases. Not bad! Unfortunately, with so little time to train him, you really have to invest heavily to get him tower-ready, and why bother? He's got an awful class and competes with much better units. I suppose he gets a slot in an all-laguz run.
Tormod - He kills that obnoxious wyvern rider on the swamp map. I give him a whole tier for that, because man, that thing is annoying. Beyond that, he's helpful for several part 1 maps, and he can be trained up to use staves for the tower.
Leonardo - The worst member of a great class, Leonardo will absolutely wreck with Double Bow, but the road to get there is harrowing. Only his prf bow's speed boost gets him out of D tier. Maybe even F. He's just such a liability for so long that I can't recommend him.
Ilyana - Strange that in a game where availability is so restricted, the number one most available character is so bad! She was great in PoR, too, but thunder magic has been substantially nerfed. I give her a lot of credit for her join map, which is arguably the hardest map in the game, and if you really work hard to level her, she gets staves with an excellent magic score. As with most units this far down, though, she's just outclassed by all the better options who do the same thing, and you don't need that many backup staff units.
Ranulf - Force deployed for what feels like a dozen chapters, Ranulf mostly hangs around to shove people and occasionally do some damage. He's got the worst class in the game, but unlike Lyre, has great bases that give him a nice little midgame role and then not much else. If you manage to feed him experience in Part 4, he's somewhat endgame viable, as long as you don't have much competition for the laguz gem.
Nealuchi - Like Ranulf, the old bird has a bright spot in the middle of the game where he's got some utility, but is best ditched when his time is up. I find him essential for 2-P and 2-1, a good contributor for 2-E, and then...well, that's a C tier unit.
Kieran - Bummer that he's so reduced here versus PoR, but at least his class gets better caps than most cavs, and he's viable as Geoffrey's sidekick for those odd chapters in Part 2/3. I can't hate him. He's easy to train and turns into a viable, if underwhelming, tower unit, but joining Ike's crew so late in Part 3 hurts him, as he is immediately outclassed by like two dozen people that you've been training for ages.
Lucia - She gets a big boost for being essential for 2-1 and viable in Part 4. If I was going to train a bad trueblade, I'm picking her over Stefan at least, but her lack of availability and bad class push her to the middle tiers.
Renning - An unfairly hated tower gotoh, Renning is your best freebie Alondite user, and has tolerable enough bases to hang out and contribute with your actual good units. He's just mediocre compared to anyone you've actually built up yourself, and he's clearly worse than Giffca and the royals. Many people do their ironmans with all royals banned for the challenge, and if that's you, Renning suddenly becomes a valuable backup unit that I would maybe bump another tier. As-is, he's just mid.
Volke - Ditto what I said for Renning, except he uses the Baselard instead, doubles auras without help, and can instakill people. I usually take Stillness off and give it to Micaiah, though, so his durability is a problem. Volke is like a super-trueblade and worth considering if you are low on viable tower units.
Giffca/Mufasa - The lion king and his shadow are virtually the same unit, except that Giffca has to use a laguz gem to transform for some reason (Guess he was borrowing his boss's formshift scroll last game?). I usually refuse to use them on principle, but I can't count that against them. They absolutely wreck the Tower but serve no other purpose. As the best of the Tower Gotohs, I can't justify higher than C.
Nasir - The best of the dragon auras, Nasir enables some aura one-rounding strategies that make a big difference. Still, we're talking about one dang map. When I made this I struggled with whether or not he should be down with Gareth and Ena, but I'm giving him a lot of credit for his special aura and his invincibility versus magic.
Sigrun/Tanith - The lesser two of the three Seraph Knights, they have one of the best classes in the game, but mediocre bases and growths. There's only one Wishblade, unfortunately, and while Seraph Knight is the best class to use it, that just means there's no reason to bring multiple of them unless you want to goof off with triangle attack. If Marcia turned out poor or you didn't use her, I recommend grabbing Sigrun (higher base level) for the Wishblade and training her up in Part 4. If you aren't training these units, they still get credit for flying utility in the desert.
Ulki/Janaff - Can't decide which of the twins are better here. With insane bases and no xp gain at all, these guys show up in part 3 to help shove people and generally help out when someone is in trouble. While they stay viable to the end (to the delight of the zero percent growth community), I don't get too excited by their lategame contributions. The laguz gauge is their Achilles Heel in part 3; I just can't justify relying on them.
Bastian/Oliver - My hottest take of this tier list, I have argued for a long time that Oliver is underrated as your Renault/Yoder character; that is, your staffbot gotoh who fills in to rescue ironmans. Bastian serves the same role, but slightly better. If your Micaiah is bad or untrained and you haven't leveled any of the project mages, these guys are your strongest staff users.
Devdan - Just as forgettable here as in Path of Radiance, Devdan suffers from bad bases and availability, and as the worst member of a meh class, there's just no reason to invest in him. I give him a lot of credit for major contributions in two key chapters without being a liability, and if you do train him, his superior caps make him arguably better than Kieran in lategame. Oh, and in part 3, he can climb that one ledge to keep it open. That's...something.
Calill - Helping out on a couple more midgame maps than Devdan, Calill is never good, but she can chip a bit here or there and usually isn't a liability. Anyone who can do anything in Elincia's Gambit gets a push in my book. If you do wind up making good use of her and slap on a crown, she's another backup staff unit with okay stats.
Lethe/Murderkaiser - The cat and tiger duo once again shows up midgame with good stats, bad growths, and a spot waiting for them on the bench. I find that they make a great contribution in part 2, remain viable in part 3, and...well, they exist in part 4 I guess. Mordecai can be built into a viable tank thanks to having vastly more time to grow compared to Muarim, and better everything compared to Kyza. Lethe has dramatically better strength than her idiot sister. Too bad the bad classes keep them out of the good tiers.
B tier: Edward - We're getting out of the riffraff and into some viable units. While Edward is one of the weaker Dawn Brigade growth options, he is super helpful in numerous key early chapters where you desperately need it, and he can grow into a complete powerhouse. Just watch his growths as he naturally levels throughout part 1, and if he fails to pop off, bench him. If he crushes those strength and defense growths, though, he's an excellent choice for a Part 3 carry, as he's on the shortlist of units who can solo 3-13 - not the best one, but much easier to level than Meg, for example. His luck sword is I guess the worst of the DB prf weapons, but it's still decent for a long time, before you toss it for Alondite. If he didn't fall off in late part 1, he'd be A tier. Also, he's got a bad class and competes with at least one or two better units for that precious Alondite.
Soren - With magic nerfed in this game, Soren has no chance of breaking into the highest tiers, but he sure tries. I'd argue he is the best mage in the game. He's not too difficult to train, hits high magic numbers, and turns into the game's best staffbot (arguably) by endgame. While I'd rather bring a free Bastian than a high effort Soren to the tower, Ike's BFF gets a big boost from his super high availability. I never feel like he's a drag on the party.
Rhys - Like Soren, but you don't need to wait for staves, alright, Rhys probably snatches the prize of lategame staffbot from Soren, but not by much. He's hurt by awful physicals, which can make him seem like a liability, but your list of part 3 staff units is sparse, so he's going to contribute a lot every run, no matter what you have planned for him.
Mist - She's much weaker than Rhys in every way, but when she promotes, she gets Canto, which is wonderful for a frail unit. While Florete is bugged (or sucks by design, depending on who you ask) and there is no Sonic Sword, Mist is still viable as a mobile healer who won't let you down through the entire game. I know I keep saying different people are the "best lategame staffbot" but I swear this is the last one, it's really Mist.
Zihark/Volug - I paired them for nearly identical availability and the legendary earth/earth affinity, which gives them a niche in certain difficult part 3 maps where their contributions are invaluable. Neither character scales well into endgame (there are better options for trueblade) and they aren't invincible like Big T, but at least they show up for work. Use them as Jeigans in part 1 and tanks in part 3, then say goodbye.
Micaiah - Often called the worst lord in the game, she...probably deserves it. Oh no, I'm about to call her the actual best staffbot, aren't I? No, she's difficult to raise up due to being such a frail liability all game and having forced promotions. She gets big credit for a couple key Thani nukes early game, and she's a force deployed physics bot from 3-13 onward. Have I overrated her? Maybe, but I like healers.
Geoffrey - With a couple chapters designed to make him look good, Geoffrey is essential to clear the game, but his class caps keep him from getting into the elite levels. I find that he levels quickly in part 4 (without paragon, even) and holds his own. I really wish he joined with Kieran and the others. By endgame, he's a viable filler unit.
Nolan - A godsend in the early chapters, the Dawn Brigade would have died in the cradle without Nolan. He gets an amazing prf weapon and is easily viable as a part 3 carry, but I find him inadequate to solo 3-13 or reliably fight Ike. His strength and defense growth is just too poor, and he lacks the avoid to make up for it. Still, he has the best beorc class caps in the game, and after being reliable and useful for so long, you can reward him with careful bexp abuse to make sure he can slam the tower bosses with 62 attack power. There's something satisfying about seeing a human inflict lion-like damage to gods.
Laura - I always see her at the bottom of tier lists, but your only healer in part 1 (Micaiah doesn't count) deserves some love. She's a huge liability on the field, but think about how much harder Part 1 gets if she dies. She stays viable in part 3 (I usually savior backpack her with somebody) and is, yes, another top tier lategame staffbot. For being an essential unit for so long, and for having endgame potential, I can't see lower than B tier.
Simba - The lion prince needs paragon and some effort to get rolling, but boy does he! As an acceptable alternative to those cheating royal laguz, Skrimir is just an unstoppable powerhouse who can solo entire maps in part 4 if you let him. Until the white dragons show up, Skrimir is never in danger from anything other than his own stupid laguz gauge, which is why he's not in A tier. If you haven't tried slapping paragon and adept on Skrimir and letting him eat all of 4-P, try it once, it's hilarious.
Royal Trio - I put Nailah ahead of the bird brains for her availability, but they all have the same role: hold your hand through part 4. Tibarn can actually die to the crossbow guy in 4-2, which makes me laugh, and Naesala is downright mortal by comparison. I like to leave Pass on Nailah from part 1 and give her chest keys for Oliver's Mansion. All of these units are insanely strong and help trivialize the tower, which is why I don't bring them.
Singing Siblings - I know, putting Rafiel lower on the list than the others is blasphemy, but he's barely around through the whole game. He's widely accepted as the best tower bird (though I prefer Reyson), but other than Oliver's Mansion, what hard missions does he help out on? Rafiels' role is to help fight dragons and gods, which is a pretty good resume, so he's up this high. Leanne wins my heart for Elincia's Gambit alone, but she also helps make the bridge and desert maps more tolerable.
Marcia - A hot take here, but Marcia has a lot of availability and a positive, if underwhelming, contribution through most of it. By lategame, she turns into an excellent flier (Seraph Knights are truly amazing) and is, in my opinion, the single best Wishblade candidate in the entire game. Marcia never crushes this game like she does Path of Radiance, but I'm here for her.
Boyd - Notoriously tough to get rolling, Boyd has those insane Reaver caps and a lot of time to reach them. While he's just a project unit in part 3, he does crest that hill eventually and turn into a complete wrecking ball who trivializes the rest of the game. He easily hits 40 strength and isn't that tough to train up to 35 speed with bexp. He's the game's best Urvan user (as his caps are easier to hit than Nolan) and I only don't put him higher because it's a bit of a struggle to get him going.
A tier: Rolf - People are going to lose their minds over this one. I'm always astonished how many people don't know that Rolf has 75% strength growth! Snipers are easy to level and have a great payoff, meaning that even if Shinon wins your double bow, you'll never regret bringing a second killer deadeye through the whole game. Imagine if Leonardo had Rolf's growths. Little bro is like Dmitri, but in the Wii era. Don't sleep on Rolf. He's amazing.
Nephenee - Sometimes overrated, sometimes underrated, Nephenee has top notch availability and is an essential unit for several chapters, and while she can get lost in the Greil Mercs spam, she quickly turns into a stellar well-rounded infantry unit who can carry the game. She's never bad and turns into another excellent Wishblade user, who I only put below Marcia for the tower due to lack of flying/canto. Due to high availability and never needing particular training attention, though, Nephenee skirts into the top tiers.
Mia - Unlike Path of Radiance, Mia starts viable and quickly takes off like a rocket, turning into your best Trueblade. Lacking only one strength in her final caps versus Edward, she's easier to level and, imo, your best overall Alondite unit. Because she is around so long and always helpful, she gets a bump.
Brom/Gatrie - Brom almost gets the nod for being an essential unit for so Part 2, but his falloff is noticeable, and his endgame potential as a Marshall is worse than, say, Nephenee. Gatrie picks up that slack and remains as one of your best Greil Mercs for the rest of the game. I could see someone valuing Brom's early contributions more and swapping this order. Both units suffer from the usual Marshall problems: bad caps, bad movement, competing with far better units for the best items.
Titania - The stalwart ride-or-die arch-paladin of Tellius, Titania doesn't carry hard like she does in the previous game, but she's immediately dominant and stays that way virtually forever. She has reasonable class caps (compared to other cavs, anyway) and is fine to bring to the tower, but you will notice a dropoff. Regardless of tower viability, she's so damn strong for so long that I can't rank her any lower.
Oscar - While he starts weak and is imprisoned by truly awful tier 2 caps, Oscar is still solid and provides that lovely earth affinity through a ton of chapters. Once he breaks into tier 3, he's immediately one of your best units, and stays that way for a long time. I almost rated Titania higher, but I think Oscar surpasses her and is a candidate for an early crown. If not for those tier 2 caps, he'd be S tier.
Shinon - Embarrassed by the "9 strength incident" in Path of Radiance, Shinon hit the gym and turned into a powerhouse from the moment he joins until the end of the game. He's never not great, and he only gets better as he gets his outstanding third tier caps and SS rank weapon. While he usually needs bexp to hit str and def caps, that's more a function of the highish caps than any weaknesses in growths. Shinon is almost breaking into S tier. If he was a flying archer, he'd be the next Haar.
Aran - The wrongest opinion in all of Fire Emblem is that Aran is bad. Just wrong, wrong, wrong. Aran starts as a weak unit among numerous other weak units, is easily trainable, and quickly pops off - 75% strength growth, again! - to turn into a juggernaut that surpasses everyone except the royals. By Part 3, Aran has made the rest of the Dawn Brigade redundant, and by 3-13, he's a walking god. I always laugh when I hear commentators talk about how difficult part 3 is, then minutes later, mention how bad Aran is. Well, of course it's hard if you don't use the best unit! I only keep Aran out of S tier because of DB availability and because his class caps keep him from stomping as hard in the tower, where he rarely doubles.
S tier: Jill - Flying utility gives her the bump into the upper echelons. Slightly harder to train than Aran, she benefits immensely from the str and def items (which are useless to Aran, who caps immediately) and turns into another juggernaut. While she stays weaker than Aran throughout most of the game, the mobility is a factor, and she grows into one of your best endgame units. If you had to average the two games together, Jill is probably the best character in Tellius. Or Titania, it's hard to say, but it's definitely a canto redhead.
Sothe - Play this game: a trickster god deletes one character from your rom, permanently. Seize squares and game over conditions get reassigned, but you now have to play the rest of the game without that unit, forever. What's the absolute worst unit to lose? I cannot think of a worse unit to lose than Sothe. Is the Dawn Brigade even possible without him? I'm sure someone has done it. After making the game playable, Sothe falls off hard, but he can be trained into a sub-par Volke if you want. I contend that Tellius literally could not be saved without him. So why isn't he the absolute top tier? Well, I guess I'm weighing the rest of the game higher, but I'm not 100% convinced that's right.
Elincia - What a glow-up from PoR! The devs nerf her in 2-P to keep it difficult, but as soon as she gets her weapon, she turns into a flying healer who also wrecks things. I think she's a lock for the tower, even if you are dedicating six tower slots to royals and lions. While a weaker staffbot than some others I mentioned, she's good enough. And she flies! Elincia is just awesome.
Reyson - Speedrunners and LTCers prefer Rafiel for a better Turn 1 against Ashera, but I like Reyson's high movement and canto, and you have laguz gems by that point. As for the rest of the game, Reyson has by far the best availability of all herons - which isn't saying much, I know. I just wish this game wasn't so weird with dancers.
Ike vs Haar for the championship - People have debated between Ike and Haar since the game came out. I put Ike 2nd because, while he carries harder with Ragnell, he's still a normal (albeit stronk) infantry swordlocked unit for a long time before then. Haar saves your bacon in Part 2 (twice) and then carries Part 3 just for fun afterwards. He also has the best boss convos in 2-P and 4-E-2. Ike gets the boss convo award in 4-P, so this most critical of category tips the scales toward Haar. The real answer is availability + domination = top of the top tier. As if Haar wasn't stupid OP enough, he gets the best beorc defense cap in the entire game, because why not? He even beats out the Marshalls on Strength! And his mastery skill is better! Honestly, what were they thinking here? While Ragnell Ike is the strongest unit in the game, Totality Ike is only the second strongest.

2024.05.17 21:41 DumbMoneyMedia Gen Z: Why It's Time to Invest in Silver Now
| The maxim "if you donât hold it, you donât own it" eloquently captures the essence of holding tangible assets for true ownership and wealth preservation. This principle, highlighted by ITM trading specialist Keely Caul, resonates deeply with both millennials and Gen Z. With a robust background spanning stock brokering, banking, insurance, and technology, Caul underscores the value of physical assets in an era where younger generations increasingly seek investments outside traditional financial systems. Embracing tangible assets like physical gold and silver offers intrinsic value and utility, a stark contrast to the intangibility and depreciation inherent in fiat money-based assets. For Gen Z, this translates to financial foresight and wealth preservation through investments in tangible assets. The sheer comfort of digital technology sometimes outshadows the importance of understanding how money is created and supported. As recent global crises have exposed vulnerabilities in the âAmerican Dream,â fortifying oneâs financial standing with tangible assets is becoming more relevant than ever. SilverDegenClub leads the charge in Guiding Gen Z to Silver Investing. Key Takeaways - Gen Z is increasingly interested in silver investment as a form of wealth preservation and building.
- Keely Caul emphasizes the importance of tangible assets for true ownership and financial foresight.
- Physical gold and silver offer intrinsic value and utility unlike fiat money-based intangible assets.
- Global crises highlight the need for tangible assets to fortify one's financial standing.
- Younger generations must understand the creation and support of money to make informed investment decisions.
Understanding the Financial Landscape for Gen Z In today's rapidly changing economic environment, Gen Z finds itself at a critical juncture where understanding financial security is paramount. The conventional education system often overlooks crucial aspects of financial literacy, especially concerning the creation of money and the pitfalls of fiat currency. To achieve Gen Z wealth creation, it is imperative to explore investment strategies that provide stability and growth over the long term. One such avenue that has garnered attention is investing in silver as an asset. This tangible commodity has proven to be resilient against inflation and economic upheavals, making it a strong candidate for bolstering personal financial security. As Gen Z navigates through a landscape marked by stagnant incomes and soaring living costs, the necessity of developing a robust personal wealth shield becomes increasingly clear. This generation is uniquely positioned to diverge from traditional narratives of the âAmerican Dreamâ by adopting innovative investment strategies. Investing in silver not only offers a hedge against economic uncertainty but also aligns with Gen Z's inclination towards tangible and lasting value. By incorporating silver as an asset into their portfolios, young investors can mitigate risks associated with fiat currencies and further their goals of sustainable wealth creation. Why Silver Investment is Crucial for Gen Z Investing in silver offers Gen Z a robust strategy to counteract inflation and maintain purchasing power. In an era where educational expenses are escalating and student loan debt is a looming concern, income levels often fail to catch up with the rising cost of living. This scenario strongly advocates for the inclusion of tangible assets like silver in investment portfolios. One of the primary benefits of silver is its role as an inflation-proof investment. Unlike fiat currencies that are prone to devaluation, silver retains intrinsic value, providing a safeguard against economic instability. This is particularly crucial for Gen Z financial planning, where long-term security and stability are paramount. Silver stands as a bastion against currency devaluation by design. Incorporating silver helps in preserving purchasing power over time. As prices for goods and services rise, the value of silver often appreciates, offering a buffer against inflationary pressures. For Gen Z, who are navigating an unpredictable financial landscape, understanding and acting on the benefits of silver investment can create a firmer economic foundation. The strategic placement of silver in a diversified investment portfolio ensures that young investors are not entirely dependent on the volatile stock market or the depreciating value of cash holdings. This multifaceted approach to financial planning secures their economic well-being, aligning with their goals of sustaining purchasing power and achieving long-term financial stability. Its Time for Gen Z to Buy Silver, Gen Z needs Silver, Gen Z invests in Silver As traditional savings options fail to deliver significant returns, Gen Z is being pushed to explore more fruitful investment frontiers. In this quest for growth and stability, silver stands out as a compelling alternative investment. The Decline of Traditional Savings Options Traditional savings accounts and financial instruments have been losing their appeal, particularly among younger generations. The low interest rates and minimal returns on these savings avenues fail to meet the financial aspirations of Gen Z. This decline has driven them to seek alternative investments that offer better growth prospects and financial resilience. Comparing Silver to Other Investments Silver's allure lies not just in its historical value but in its tangible nature and utility across various sectors. When compared to investing in cryptocurrencies or even the enduring appeal of gold, silver offers a balanced and practical option. While cryptocurrencies may promise high returns, they are often associated with high volatility and risk. Gold, on the other hand, while stable, can be expensive as an entry point for many young investors. Investment Option | Pros | Cons | Cryptocurrencies | High potential returns, modern investment trend | High volatility, regulatory uncertainty | Gold | Stable, high value | High entry cost, storage issues | Silver | Affordable, practical, tangible asset | Requires storage, less glamorous than gold | The Role of Inflation in Investment Decisions Inflation is a crucial factor for Gen Z to consider in their investment decisions. Unlike fiat currency, which gradually loses its value over time, silver's financial resilience offers a hedge against inflation. By investing in silver, Gen Z can protect their purchasing power from the erosive effects of inflation. This makes silver not just a safe haven but also a strategic asset for managing inflation risks effectively. In conclusion, silver stands as a formidable option amidst various Gen Z investment options, providing a blend of stability and growth potential. As traditional savings avenues decline and inflation becomes a significant concern, Gen Z's move to incorporate alternative investments like silver into their portfolios reflects a keen understanding of financial strategies needed for future stability. Historical Performance of Silver Investments Understanding the historical performance of silver investments is crucial for young investors looking to build wealth. By examining key milestones in silver price movements and assessing the benefits of long-term versus short-term investments, one can make more informed decisions about wealth growth with silver. Key Milestones in Silver Price Movements The historical silver prices have shown significant fluctuations, influenced by global economic conditions and industrial demand. For instance, the 1980 spike, driven by the Hunt Brothers' attempt to corner the market, saw prices soar exponentially. Similarly, the 2011 surge to nearly $50 per ounce reflected the metal's hedge against monetary inflation and geopolitical instability. Beyond these dramatic peaks, silver has consistently demonstrated its enduring value. Tracking these milestones offers a comprehensive investment performance analysis, revealing the assetâs ability to weather economic storms and retain its worth. Long-term vs Short-term Investment Benefits Investors often weigh the advantages of long-term versus short-term investment strategies. Long-term investments in silver typically yield substantial returns due to the metal's inherent ability to preserve wealth over decades. This approach aligns well with the philosophy of wealth growth with silver, mitigating the impact of market volatility and inflation. In contrast, short-term investments can capitalize on immediate price movements and market trends. While these can lead to rapid gains, they require a keen understanding of historical silver prices and constant market monitoring. Balancing short-term gains with long-term security ensures a robust and resilient investment portfolio. The historical performance analysis of silver underscores the metal's strategic importance in building a diversified and resilient investment portfolio for wealth growth. 2024.05.17 19:57 EJC28 Broncos 2024 Draft Analysis Compilation
Round 1, Pick 12 - Bo Nix, QB, Oregon: NFL: Nix is an experienced playmaker with the arm talent and athleticism to execute Sean Paytonâs offense in Denver. He fits the Drew Brees-like prototype, getting the ball to his playmakers and accurately delivering passes at the short and intermediate levels.
CBS Sports: C-. I donât love Nix, but I get the pick. Desperation forces teams to pick quarterbacks earlier than they should. Sean Payton obviously sees Drew Brees in him, but this is way early. Why not trade down and get him later?
ESPN: The Broncos thought enough of Nix to make him the sixth quarterback off the board among the draft's first 12 picks. The draft many consider to be the gold standard for quarterbacks -- 1983, that included John Elway -- had six quarterbacks selected in the first round overall, but just two of those in the first 10 picks. Nix's efficiency -- he completed at least 71% of his passes in all 14 games this past season and was at 74.9% completion rate for the season overall -- makes him an easy fit in Sean Payton's offense, as do his mobility and experience (61 games in five college seasons). The Broncos need far more of the QB Nix was at Oregon rather than Auburn given he threw 29 and 45 touchdowns, respectively, in his two seasons in Eugene. He did not have more than 16 touchdown passes in any of his three seasons at Auburn.
NFL Absolutely Not Fake News: â
Https://youtube.com/watch?v=GTg7y0VRYNIâ.
Round 3, Pick 76 - Jonah Elliss, DE, Utah: NFL: The son of massive former Lions DL Luther Elliss, Jonah is -- by contrast -- an undersized rusher. He broke out last season with quickness off the ball, decent length and consistently good effort. I thought he was more of a Day 3 player than Day 2, but he could surprise me.
CBS Sports: A-. Twitched-up polished rusher. Production didnât necessarily match his impressive traits. Serious bend around the corner too. Rushes get high and has long invisible stretches but the highlights are awesome. Needed addition in Denver.
ESPN: In a division that includes Patrick Mahomes and Justin Herbert at quarterback, the Broncos needed more pop on the defensive edge. They haven't had an edge rusher finish with at least 10 sacks since Von Miller had 14.5 in 2018. Elliss did not work out at the combine or pro day because of a shoulder injury he suffered late in the 2023 season, but he's a high-effort player who should contribute immediately. His father, Luther, played his final NFL season with the Broncos in 2004 and his brother, Kaden, played in New Orleans during Payton's time as head coach. Jonah Elliss flourished in the Utes' defense this past season with 16 tackles for loss and 12 sacks.
NFL Absolutely Not Fake News: Will flip over any game of Monopoly he sees out of principle.
Round 4, Pick 102 - Troy Franklin, WR, Oregon: NFL: It was a bit surprising that Franklin went outside the top 100 given his game-changing speed, yet his game is a little one-dimensional right now. He'll have a chance to regain his mojo in Denver, reuniting with his former college QB, Bo Nix.
CBS Sports: A+. Lean effortless speedster with impressive flexibility to get in and out of his breaks. Complete wideout after the catch and tracking it but not a contested-catch type and because of his ultra-skinny frame, is bothered by physicality. Cheap trade up cost too. Excellent.
ESPN: Franklin is a quality value pick in this spot, and the Broncos wanted him enough to move up from No. 121 to snag him with the second pick made on Day 3. Franklin's speed (4.41 in the 40-yard dash at the scouting combine) is needed in the offense. New quarterback Nix has a comfort level with him -- Franklin was one of the receivers for Nix in his private workout for the Broncos. Franklin set a school record this past season in receiving yards (1,383), receiving touchdowns (14) and 100-yard receiving games (eight). He figures to be in the rotation early if he can show his expected impact down the field.
NFL Absolutely Not Fake News: He said-a hip, hop, the hippie, the hippie To the hip hip hop-a.
Round 5, Pick 145 - Kris Abrams-Draine, CB, Missouri: NFL: I had KAD going earlier than this, even if his lack of bulk and length limits his ability to handle bigger receivers. This is tremendous value for Denver, as Abrams-Draine could win the nickel job early on with his playmaking knack. Chris Harris 2.0?
CBS Sports: A+. Ultra-pesky inside-outside CB who rocked in the SEC for multiple years. Not incredibly fast nor length with size. Awesome tackling reliability. Routinely finds and makes plays on the football underneath and at intermediate level. Has plus long speed. Spectacular value here.
ESPN: The Broncos signed Levi Wallace in free agency earlier this month -- Wallace has started 70 games in his career -- but they still have an opening in the starting lineup opposite Pat Surtain II. Abrams-Draine started his career at Missouri as a wide receiver, and you can see that in his play as a defender when he tracks the ball and in contested-catch situations. He has 4.44 speed and had 40 passes defensed in his career with the Tigers. He'll be in the mix with Wallace, Damarri Mathis and Riley Moss to be the pick at an outside corner spot. At 5-foot-11 3/8 inches and 179 pounds, Mathis will have to show he can battle more physical NFL receivers. He also adds some potential value in the return game -- he returned kickoffs in three of his seasons at Missouri.
NFL Absolutely Not Fake News: Actually tried to learn to read windings as a kid.
Round 5, Pick 147 - Audric EstimĂŠ, RB, Notre Dame: NFL: Sean Payton had a few bigger backs, such as Tim Hightower and Chris Ivory, in his time in New Orleans, and EstimĂŠ fits that mold. For now, he's a two-down hammer who can tenderize defenses, but don't overlook his starting potential eventually, despite lacking good speed.
CBS Sports: A-. Audric Estime, RB, Notre Dame. Built like a Greek god. Ultra-wide frame and plays exactly how youâd expect. Defenders routinely fall off him. Very slow. Will not run away from many at the next level. Has surprising quicks for his size, can work through smaller tracks between the tackles.
ESPN: Estime is the kind of raw power presence the Broncos haven't had in the run game in some time. Javonte Williams, at his best, forces piles of broken tackles, but Estime, at 5-11 3/8 and 221 pounds, runs with a slightly different kind of profile. He averaged 6.4 yards per carry last season for the Irish and has shown himself to be adept in blitz pickup with the potential to be a productive part of a passing game. Williams never looked quite himself last season, his first full season back from an ACL tear, and the Broncos were one of the worst teams in the league with just eight rushing touchdowns for the season. Payton has promised a better, more efficient running game and has repeatedly said a young quarterback's best friend is a defense and a good running game. Estime will have the opportunity to carve out some playing time as quickly as he shows a comfort level in the offense.
NFL Absolutely Not Fake News: Has his college ID number as his gamertag.
Round 7, Pick 235 - Devaughn Vele, WR, Utah: NFL: The 26-year-old Vele spent two years on an LDS mission, making him one of the older prospects in this class. But he's 6-foot-4 with long arms and sub-4.5 speed and jumping ability, making him a developmental jump-ball target.
CBS Sports: B. Tall long-striding vertical field-stretcher. Lacks burst off the ball. Can box out near the sideline and in traffic but not dominant in that area. YAC is good, not great. Intriguing type.
ESPN: Vele is a big receiver -- 6-4, 203 pounds at the scouting combine -- and is one of the oldest players in the draft. He will turn 27 on Dec. 12. He played 38 of his 47 career games for the Utes over the past three seasons. He is the second wide receiver in this seven-player draft class, and he faces a scrap to find his way into the rotation, especially if Tim Patrick shows he has regained his form after back-to-back seasons impacted by injuries. Vele ran 4.47 in the 40 at the combine and has punt return skills as well, so athletically he has a chance to carve out a role in what might be, because of his age, a tight career window.
NFL Absolutely Not Fake News: Roger here, just hoping everyone has enjoyed the draft this year.
Round 7, Pick 256 - Nick Gargiulo, C, South Carolina: NFL: A Yale transfer, Gargiulo has experience at center, guard and tackle, but he's best at home inside. He's smart, competitive and long.
CBS Sports: B-. Big, long, technically sound interior blocker who wonât move people routinely but doesnât get tossed around inside. Made transfer from Yale to South Carolina with relative ease. Nothing spectacular about his game but minimal liabilities either.
ESPN: He was at Yale for five seasons, including a COVID-19 year where they didn't play, before one year at South Carolina. He has versatility given he played at left tackle, center and left guard in his career. He moves well and showed this past season he could hold up against the defensive linemen in the SEC. With Lloyd Cushenberry's departure in free agency, the Broncos have a crowd of young players ready to compete for the job that could include Alex Forsyth and Luke Wattenberg -- Broncos picks in the previous two drafts -- as well as fifth-year veteran Sam Mustipher and now Gargiulo.
NFL Absolutely Not Fake News: At least he wonât always get compared to Brock Purdy.

2024.05.17 17:10 GeorgH20 Week 19 2024 New Online Casino Games May â Spin on 25 Hot Releases!
| 527 New Releases in 2024 To Date With another week in 2024 consigned to the history books, itâs that time when I bring you up to date with the new casino games released in the previous week. Although slightly fewer than in recent weeks, 25 new slot games were launched throughout the past seven days. Added to the total figure for the year, which weâve been keeping track of, that means weâve now witnessed at least 527 new casino games launched in 2024 so far. Whatâs in this weekâs update? After plenty of deliberation and a vote, the team here at Casinoplusbonus has determined our top 5 new slot games of the week. We each had a session on all new slots launched and placed our votes, with the slots that received the most, making our top 5. Below, weâve reviewed each game and given you a rundown of their features. At the very bottom of this update, you can check out the full list of casino games that hit the online casinos in the previous week. Top 5 Slots Releases 7 May- 13 May 2024 (Rated by the Casinoplusbonus team) The quality on display throughout all the slot games launched since our last update has been very high, so it wasnât easy for us to whittle down to our best five. However, votes never lie, and the results are in. The online slots that received the most are Epic Dreams (Relax Gaming), Area Link⢠Dragon (AreaVegas Games / Games Global), Bang Bang Reloaded (Booming Games), Riptide Pirates⢠(Nailed It! Games), and Dazzling Crown (Endorphina). Once youâve worked through those, check out the complete list of new games at the end of this report. Weâre confident youâll find many other top games to enjoy! - Bang Bang Reload (Booming Games)
Giddy up in the latest video slot from Booming Games. Bang Bang Reload takes us to the wild wild west and boasts a max win of 5,200x your stake. On top of that, it has some features that will keep you on your toes. Bang Bang Reloaded Features Explained Letâs check Booming Gameâs newest slot features: - Wild Symbol: Can transform in all other symbols except for Scatter, which can only land on the 2nd, 3rd, and 4th reel. You increase your chances of triggering the Big SHot WHeel feature the more wilds you collect during a spin.
- Scatter Symbol: It appears only on the 1st, 3rd and 5th reel.
- Cascading Reels: The symbols fall into position, instead of spinning. Each win will start the cascading reels, remove the winning combo, and the remaining symbols fall to the bottom. The new cascade fills empty positions, raising the win multiplier until the maximum multiplier is reached. Once there, it will provide additional cascades until no more wins occur. If there are no wins, the multiplier is reset. Here are the multiplier values:
- In the base game: 1x, 2x, 3x, 5x.
- In the Free Spins: 3x, 6x, 9x, 15x.
The multipliers are applied to all wins except for Scatter payouts. - Big Shot Wheel Feature: The more wilds you collect during a spin, the bigger your chances to trigger the Big Shot Wheel. Once the cascade feature is done, you can trigger the Big Shot Wheel Feature. When itâs triggered, you win one of the following prizes: Minor (15x), Major(100x), or Grand(5,000x). Once the feature is over, the chances for a new one are back to zero, and you have to collect wilds again in order to trigger it. Moreover, having 3 scatters on the reels stops it from activating.
- Free Spins: You can trigger 10 Free Spins by landing 3 Scatters on the reels. You can activate 5 additional Free Spins if you land another 3 Scatters during the Free Spins. Thereâs also a Free Spins win multiplier (3x, 6x, 9x, 15x) which increases with each subsequent cascade. The win multipliers get reset when no paying commons are on the reels. Scatter (1x) 3 max
- Buy Bonus: You can purchase the Bonus feature for 70x your stake

Casinoplusbonus Rating: 89% (Great) - Riptide Pirates⢠(Nailed it! Games)
Ahoy, Nailed it! Games just dropped a jaw-dropping pirate-themed video slot, Riptide Piratesâ˘. This pirate adventure sounds like fun and offers a max win of 5,000x, special features, and multipliers. Keep reading to find out more. Riptide Pirates⢠Features Explained Letâs check it out: - Wild symbols: Replaces all other symbols except Riptide and Pirates Bonus symbols.
- Riptide: Each reel of the slot has a Riptide collection, all the Riptide symbols landing on the reels are added to the collection of that specific reel. Youâll get a free Riptide collections boost when you begin the game for the first time. When a Riptide collection is full, it triggers a Riptide Wild Stack on the following spin. Each Riptide Wild Stack moves one reel to the left with each round. You can win a new Riptide Wild Stack, even when you already have another stack on the reel. In turn, a 2x multiplier is added to the stack or it can increase the existing stack with 1x.
- Pirates Bonus: You can trigger it by landing 3 Pirate Bonus Symbols. The feature begins with up to 4 active cannons, each having 3 chances to hit a target. If successful, the cannon chance counter is reset back to 3. To win its prize, you need to sink a boat or ship. Even hitting a chest grants you a hidden bonus. To sink bigger ships, you must hit all the ship sections.
- Bonus Booster: To unlock up to 4 cannons, you need to fill the bar with the help of Pirate Bonus symbols (they add 1 point to the Bonus Booster). At least one cannon is guaranteed, and the Pirate Bonus starts with the number of active cannons in the booster.
- Pirates Bonus Awards: Ships with the following multipliers (5,000x) and 200x, 50x and 15x. Boats: They award the following prizes: 2x, 3x, 5x or 10x your stake. The bonuses can be increased by Extra Prize, Fortune, or Double. Chests: If you hit a chest you can receive:
- Instant prizes: 10x, 20x, 50x, or 100x your stake
- Extra prizes: 2x, 3x, or 10x are added to all boats (Instant prizes of 2x, 3x, or 5x the bet.)
- Fortune: On every turn, 2x, 3x, or 5x will be added to all boats. (Instant prizes of 2x, 3x, or 5x the bet.)
- Hunter: this one hits one section of each big ship
- Reinforcements: an additional 7 boats are being added to the map
- Double: Doubles the prizes on boats.

Casinoplusbonus Rating: 88% (Great) - Area Link⢠Dragon (Area Vegas/Games Global)
These game providers have created innovative and exciting gameplay in one fresh slot release â Area Link⢠Dragon. Boasting a max win of 5,000x, special features, and interesting gameplay, this slot keeps us intrigued from the get-go. Check it out. Area Link⢠Dragon Features Explained Letâs see whatâs hiding inside this dragonâs nest: - Wild symbol: It replaces all other symbols except for Fireball symbols and they are stacked on all reels.
- Area Link⢠Feature: You can trigger it when at least one Fireball lands on the reels. The Fireball is added to the collection of eggs of the same color (above the reels). The combination of FIreballs collected determines the Dragon Upgrades during this feature. Once triggered, you get 3 Free Spins and all Fireball symbols are locked in place, any additional Fireball symbols reset the number of Free Spins back to 3. Each Fireball symbol grants a cash prize or a jackpot at the end of the feature. The feature stops when all positions get occupied (You could also win the Grand jackpot.) or when the respins are over.
- Green Dragon Upgrade: This one offers a random multiplier (2x, 3x, or 5x) on every spin. The Yellow Fireball symbols get multiplied once when they first get locked into place.
- Purple Dragon Upgrade: You win a second Area Link⢠feature array. Each feature array operates independently from the other array. It ends when each array has completed all of its spins or has filled all positions.
- Red Dragon Upgrade: During this feature, you will see Red Fireballs that instantly collect all Yellow Fireballs. Once itâs over, a Yellow Fireball appears in its place.
- Blue Dragon Upgrade: During this feature, Blue Fireballs appear, and their value is added to a random number of Yellow Fireballs. The same Yellow Fireballs can receive a single Blue Fireball feature multiple times. Once the Blue Fireball feature is finished, it is replaced by a Yellow Fireball.
- Multiple Dragon Upgrade: All Dragon Upgrade features triggered on a single base spin are played alongside Area Linkâ˘. Hereâs what you can expect:
- If a Green Dragon Upgrade is activated with a Purple Dragon Upgrade â the multiplier is used on all new Yellow Fireballs on both arrays.
- If a Green Dragon Upgrade is activated with a Red Dragon Upgrade â after the Red Fireball feature, the multiplier will be applied to the Yellow Fireball.
- If a Green Dragon Upgrade is activated with a Blue Dragon Upgrade â the multiplier is applied before the Blue Fireball feature.
- If a Red Dragon Upgrade is activated with a Purple Dragon Upgrade â the Red Fireball collects only the values belonging to its array.
- If a Red Dragon Upgrade is activated with a Blue Dragon Upgrade â all the Blue Fireball features will play out before the Red Fireball features.
- If a Blue Dragon Upgrade is activated with a Purple Dragon Upgrade â the Blue Fireball adds to Yellow Fireballs within its array.
The video slot from Area Vegas and Games Global brings us a very interesting and fresh take on the dragon theme. Everything from the features, graphics, and sounds immerse you in the gameplay. Casinoplusbonus Rating: 88% (Great) - Dazzling Crown (Endorphina)
The latest Endorphina release brings back the classic slot with a slightly modern twist. With a max win of 1,500x your stake, tumble feature and so much more, Dazzling Crown looks zesty. Letâs check it out. Dazzling Crown Features Explained. Keep reading to find out what Endorphina has been preparing in their latest video slot, Dazzling Crown: - Wild Symbol: The Wild Symbol can replace all symbols except Scatter. It appears only on reels 2, 3, and 4, and it expands vertically to complete combinations.
- Scatter: Represented by 2 different symbols:
- The Diamond Scatter which appears on all reels
- The Star Scatter which only appears on reels 1, 3 and 5
- Risk Game: Take your chance with the dealer, beat his hand and your win is doubled. You can double your win up to 10 times. You can try again if thereâs a draw and both of you have the same value card. You can opt out of this feature if you donât want to risk losing your win.
Itâs always great to revisit the classic slot format, especially when the interface has a modern look and feel. All in all, the 1,500x max win is a decent payout, and although the video slot is not rich in many features, its simplicity is a nostalgic reminder of old slots. Dazzling Crown Online Slot Features - 5Ă3 Reels with 10 paylines
- 96.05% Theoretical RTP
- High âVariance/Volatilityâ
- Tumble Feature
- Expanding Wild/Scatter Symbols

Casinoplusbonus Rating: 85% (Good) - Epic Dreams (Relax Gaming)
The newest video slot from Relax Gaming offers a max win of 5,000x your stake and adventurous features inside a slothâs Epic Dreams. Epic Dreams Features Explained Letâs check them out: - Wild Symbols: It can substitute all other symbols.
- Bonus Pick: This feature gets triggered when all the stone blocks get cleared at the end of the round. If at the bottom of the row, the Super Bonus stone blocks get destroyed, the Super Bonus Pick will be triggered. During any of these bonuses, youâll have to pick between the Dig Bonus and the Build Bonus (youâll also have to pick between the super bonuses).
- Dig Bonus: It starts with 5 Free Spins and you can win a +1 Free Spins when every third stone block row gets destroyed to reveal a level row. At the beginning of every spin, all stone block rows that havenât been destroyed are kept in place. Fresh stone block rows will appear from underneath, this ensures that every free spin starts with 4 stone block rows. During this feature, you have the chance to win the max win if all 50 stone block rows are destroyed and the 5000x your bet stone is revealed. If you land the max win stone, the bonus ends. Moreover, some stone block rows could be hiding Treasure Chest and when they get destroyed you might just activate one of the following features:
- Coin Add: Offers up to 3 coins to stone blocks.
- Upgrade: Upgrades the values of up to 3 coins.
- Wild Add: Introduces a wild into the vacant spots within the 1-3 stone block rows.
The Treasure Chests can hide up to 3 Super Orbs, if you collect 3 during the Dig Bonus feature, it upgrades the feature to Super Bonus. Therefore, youâll get 5 spins and an additional 2 spins (instead of 1, each time a level row is cleared). Once the Treasure Chest awards the final Super Orb, it wonât offer the feature anymore. - Super Dig Bonus: You get 10 Free Spins, and for every third stone block row destroyed, youâll see a level row that awards 3 free spins. After the upgrade, no more Super Orbs can show up.
- Build Bonus: You begin with 3 rounds, during which 3 symbols drop-down; if you fill a row with any symbol, you win, and the counter resets back to 3. Each symbol of the winning row pays out as a three-of-a-kind symbol. The symbols descend into random columns, occupying the lowest available position. The Build Bonusâs multiplier ladder begins at 1x and increases by 1 with every row filled. The payout for symbols in the row is increased by their respective multiplier values. The value of Coin symbols will be adjusted to their final multiplied value upon landing. After you fill 50 rows, the top of the multiplier ladder will be reached and youâll be awarded with the max win of 5,000x your bet! Additionally, thereâs the opportunity for Coin Symbols and Treasure Chests to drop instead of regular paying symbols:
- Coin Symbols â when included in a winning combination, they grant payouts equivalent to the visible value displayed on the coin.
- Treasure Chests â open immediately and can trigger one of the following:
- Coin Add: Ensures only Coin Symbols will land on the reels for one drop
- Filler: Fills up to 3 rows with random symbols and can trigger wins
- +1 Drop: Enables Future Spins to drop an extra symbol in each subsequent round
The Treasure Chests can contain up to 3 Super Orbs. Collecting all 3 during the Build Bonus upgrades it to Super Bonus and resets the counter to 4 (till the end of the bonus round). Once the upgrade is offered, no more Super Orbs can appear. - Super Build Bonus: You begin with 4 rounds and when a win occurs, the round counter is reset to 4.
- Buy Bonus: You can buy the Bonus Pick feature (only during the base game) for 50x your bet at 96.50% RTP.
- Buy Super Bonus: You can purchase the Bonus Pick feature (only during the base game) for 250x your bet at 96.50% RTP. Youâll get to pick between the Super Dig Bonus and the Super Build Bonus.
All in all, Epic Dreams by Relax Gaming has an innovative theme paired with entertaining features and a decent max win of 5,000x your stake. We enjoyed giving it a few spins and the features lived up to the hype. Epic Dreams Online Slot Features - 6Ă7 Reels with 117649 ways to win

2024.05.17 16:19 LionInABoxOfficial Example: How to create a completely transparent pygame window
| Here's a quick example how you can create a completely transparent pygame window on a Windows PC! I used this technique to create this cute interactive owl for example: https://reddit.com/link/1cu6e27/video/7q6ohd9nvz0d1/player Limitations I encountered: - No support for alpha opacity values
- Pygame mouse position is only recognized when hovering over a non transparent drawn sprite or area (you can use pyautogui to get the mouse position instead).
Now to the sample code! It's quite straight-forward. By running the code a rectangle will appear on top of your screen that you can control with your arrow keys and move all around your monitor screen. To close it press 'Escape'. https://i.redd.it/1i8nbwlbwz0d1.gif Here it is: """pygame completely transparent window background!""" import pygame import sys from screeninfo import get_monitors import win32api import win32con import win32gui pygame.init() # Get monitor resolution first_monitor = get_monitors()[0] size = first_monitor.width, first_monitor.height screen = pygame.display.set_mode(size, pygame.NOFRAME) # For borderless, use pygame.NOFRAME done = False fuchsia = (255, 0, 128) # Transparency color dark_red = (139, 0, 0) clock = pygame.Clock() # Create layered window fuchsia = (255, 0, 128) # Transparency color hwnd = pygame.display.get_wm_info()["window"] win32gui.SetWindowLong(hwnd, win32con.GWL_EXSTYLE, win32gui.GetWindowLong(hwnd, win32con.GWL_EXSTYLE) win32con.WS_EX_LAYERED) # Set window transparency color win32gui.SetLayeredWindowAttributes(hwnd, win32api.RGB(*fuchsia), 0, win32con.LWA_COLORKEY) win32gui.SetWindowPos(hwnd,win32con.HWND_TOPMOST,0,0,size[0],size[1],0) # Player Settings: player_size = 60 x, y = [round(dim/2) - round(player_size/2) for dim in size] speed = 100 while True: for event in pygame.event.get(): if event.type == pygame.QUIT: pygame.quit() sys.exit() if pygame.key.get_pressed()[pygame.K_ESCAPE]: pygame.quit() sys.exit() screen.fill(fuchsia) # Transparent background if pygame.key.get_pressed()[pygame.K_UP]: y -= speed * dt if pygame.key.get_pressed()[pygame.K_DOWN]: y += speed * dt if pygame.key.get_pressed()[pygame.K_LEFT]: x -= speed * dt if pygame.key.get_pressed()[pygame.K_RIGHT]: x += speed * dt pygame.draw.rect(screen, dark_red, pygame.Rect(x, y, player_size, player_size)) pygame.display.update() dt = clock.tick(60)/1000 Resources: submitted by LionInABoxOfficial to PygameCreative [link] [comments] |

Memory Transcription Subject: Taisa, Venlil Starship Engineer, Crystal Star Shipping Co-Owner Date [Standardized Human Time]: October 16th, 2136
Stars⌠doom or not, that moon is beautiful. Earthâs own spotlight still hung in the sky, creeping ever higher backlight more and more of the fleet waiting in anticipation. The moonâs pure white light scattered aimlessly across the mountains, shimmering like liquid silver on the surface of the river flowing through the valley far below us. Slinking dark forms of ships that slipped beyond her light made their presence known through the trailing wisps their ion thrusters jetted out behind them; painting the soil-black sky with twisting, swirling hues of blue amongst the shimmering stars.
A warm and weighty hand pulled me close as the cool night air of the mountains flowed through my wool, coaxing a contended purr to build and blossom in my chest as I pressed into Chrisâ side, stretching up to nuzzle into his neck before leaning forward and snatching another âhummusâ covered carrot from the tray to pop it into my mouth. The delicious, savory smoothness of the hummus accompanied the sweet harshness of the carrot perfectly, sending a trill of pleasure through my chest before I continued my story.
â
Anyhow, Quilleth and I, despite her
continuous protests, get assigned to the same design herd for one of our final projects. We had an old Triconn Drive Systems TC-547 Jump drive and one of their âstandardâ fusion cores to go with it, one of the worst pairs of speh-stacks ever built if you ask me, that we needed to rebuild and get working again, and she wanted no part of having to âdealâ with me for any extended period of time. Tavareth, my jump-drive maintenance and design professor, was adamant that,â I stopped, pulling in a breath and puffing out my chest, doing my best to mimic the old, gray trunked Mazic. â
Ahem, âIn a work environment youâll have to work past your differences to make the herd stronger.â and all kinds of other speh that amounted to âI need to fill out this herd the rest of the way and you two are whoâs left.ââ
âThey both sound so
pleasant.â Chris rumbled, a chuckle in his voice as he grinned, handing me another of his âcracker sandwichesâ before turning his eyes back to the stars high above.
âThatâs a word for it.â I agreed, giving a jovial whistle past the crumbling cracker and deliciously smooth nut-spread. âBut she dropped that tune
real fast the second we came up to a real problem in the project trying to source a new, or at least
rebuildable, primary magnetic accelerator. I called Parnel and had a brand new one, that was well past any spec we were expected to meet, in our workshop and installed within the paw. After that I checked the driveâs Tritium levels, rerouted every coolant line, field flow point and magnetic induction coil so they actually
worked right, stars forbid those wool brains at Triconn ever design something right the first time, to get everything I could out of the new accelerator assembly.â
âNow why does
that sound familiar?â Chris mused, a sly smile on his face as scooped a fistful of crunchy chips into his mouth.
âYou can shush Captain âtry his damnedest to burn out every subsystem he can findâ, half the re-routing I have to do now is
your fault!â I replied with an amused whistle,
paffing the back of his head with my tail-tuft before continuing. âNow, after Iâd⌠dove into the ove-â
âAs you often do.â Chris cut in, a smile on his face as he prodded my side with a burbling laugh in his voice.
â
Shush!â I bleated in return, the warmth of a spreading bloom driving the sneaking cold of the mountain air from my wool. â
As I was saying, after I dove into the drive, Quilleth and our other partners, mostly Quilleth, had taken it on themselves to handle the coreâs overhaul and refueling. Leave it to most herds to take the easy route and
not learn something if they can get away with it, you can damn well bet they made sure to document that
I was the one who worked on the drive and that the, far easier, core was all them. The work on the drive took a while by myself but I still managed to get everything done and put together before we had to spin it up for the test-paw.â
âHow do you
test a drive and a core if it's not on a ship? Feels like a fast way to make a problem for yourself.â Chris asked, his eyes focused on me, interest plain on his face as his hand wrapped around my side to pull me close.
âWell the drives physically
canât engage if theyâre in a sufficient gravity well, and VP is
well beyond that threshold, so we just spin them up, take readings to âproveâ that theyâd work in a real application.
I argued we should have had a few shuttles with remote diagnostics and control systems, like we used during your flight training, to do the tests to show they actually
did work since correct readings in a gravity well and correct readings in applied use
can be different and you wouldnât know until you were in orbit and getting ready to jump. Tavareth said heâd have âloved to give us the chance but the university didnât have the funds to allocateâ or some other excuse the faculty always used to avoid doing things the
right way.â I replied, waving my paws in frustration at the amount of projects that were only given a curled tail of thought before being dumped on us to complete, real world applications or not.
âSounds a lot like
Trepassyâs parent company, unless it was a âmission critical componentâ as they put it, then they didnât much care to fix it if it didnât keep her stuck in port. Always made the excuse that the repairs werenât in the budget while posting ten plus percent margins. Didnât matter how much me and the capâ called and bitched them out for busted Air-con or the rec-room being entirely bare they always said the same damned thing. Bunch of assholes.â
My tail set to wagging at the idea of Chris and his captain shouting into a phone at some other Human half the world away about something that felt all too familiar. â
Anyways, we get everything set up on the testing field outside of Dayside, get the systems mounted into their cooling and fuel channels before we start spooling the core up and putting power to the drive. Before too long Tavareth announces that everything looks stable and we can begin putting load onto the system, everything climbs their scales well. The warp field levels off with the expected fluctuations of a drive being operated
way too far into a gravity well to maintain any real stability and the core temperature looks good. Everythingâs holding steady, Tavareth looks pleased, the rest of my project-herd is congratulating each other on a project completed.â
âThen the core temp starts climbing, blooming well beyond any âacceptableâ overheating limiter Quilleth, Uderek or Ofent could have seen fit to set. I looked over and found all three of them watching the core start to melt down in disbelief as Tavereth slams down every single E-stop he can find on the command console. Suddenly everything stops, the room goes quiet as the distant, now
glowing white core is dumped straight into an abort tank to expend itsâŚ
energy somewhere a bit safer. â
âTavereth whipped around faster than Iâd ever seen that big old Mazic move and oh
stars was he furious!â I bleated, tossing my paws in the air at the memory of him studying each of us in turn before launching into an angry tirade. âThat core was as bright as the stars themselves but it had
nothing on the bloom positively
glowing beneath Quillethâs coat! He laid into all of us for a solid five minutes, calling out everything that
could have gone wrong under Sollaglickâs light and I didnât say a
thing until she tried to blame
me for forgetting to install the limiters!â
I saw the corner of Chrisâ mouth curl in a tight smile, he knew what was coming but it still felt so
good to be able to revel in it with my own herd, pack or whatever we should have been called. âThen I threw
her own write up right back at her! Pointed out every note that
explicitly called out that I
only worked on the drive and that the core was all them, more
specifically that
SHE was supposed to have installed the limiters almost a
herd before according to their schedule!â
âUderek, Ofent and I all got a stern warning about why you should always check your herd-matesâ work and I got a gruff âgood workâ for the drive before Tavereth positively
berated Quilleth for the next quarter claw! Those two were good to me for the tail end of the semester, Iâd hoped theyâd try to keep in touch after we went our separate ways but⌠well they really didnât.â I sighed with a shrug, the sun falling from my field at the memory of the last time Iâd seen the chipper Gojid and our Tilfish friend.
âWell, hopefully things are going good for them, sometimes folks get busy⌠maybe they figure they donât wanna bother
you! âSpecially now that you got your own ship and whatnot!â Chris comforted, his hands tracing wonderfully comforting circles through my wool.
Could always try to get in contact again if we make it through this. >Agreed.< âMaybe I should, would be nice to have even
more paws onto look at any of the problems Darno and I canâtâŚ
Stars above what is that?!â
My breath hitched in my throat as I looked to the stars, watching as the fleets high above began to exchange zipping tails of blue and green. A horrid, deadly light show filled the void high above earth, ships on both sides taking and serving hits with the fervor only people fighting for their lives, and the lives of everyone theyâd ever known, could truly muster. The blazing trails of plasma slammed into the distant motes, scattering their vibrant colors in globs across the tapestry of the stars before some of them were joined by the flash of critical reactors and munition blowouts.
But amongst it all that wasnât even the most of it.
For a brief moment I had thought the U.N. had decided to throw their entire
moon at the fleet, another break-tail juke to smash as much of the fleet as they could; but the vectors were all wrong. They werenât propelling here, they were taking off
from her. The light of the moon was ablaze, obscured with towering pillars of smoke and fire, cacophonous trails of burnt oxygen and hydrogen traced a stampede directly to the extermination fleet. No, what they had actually chosen to do was
far worse.
Theyâd stowed what looked like a never ending salvo of gargantuan missiles waiting for the exact moment to drop everything they had on the extermination fleet. A thought crossed my mind, a display from some stars-forsaken exhibit in the capitalâs museum called âtrue evilâ, its content was positively
laughable now, about how many
atomics humanity had made before theyâd âannihilatedâ themselves. I think the curator had harvested the numbers a shear or two short. The sky lit up like a battery of strobes, the constant cracking light of splitting atoms nearly turning night to day as they spread like a blight through the assaulting fleet.
I couldnât help but pull my lips back in a smile as my tail thumped rapidly against the stone beneath me. That mote of hope in my chest grew, watching the burning hulks full of people who wanted nothing more than to destroy everything about this world Iâd come to love break apart, venting atmosphere as they sat, hanging in the void. Some tried to turn tail and limp away, some slipped into Earthâs gravity, their battered hull sections turning to voracious fireballs as they plummeted toward the hard, unforgiving dirt below.
Shouldâve stayed home. The
thunk and
twang of Chrisâ instrument slipping from its case harvested my attention, my eyes sliding from the battle high above to the glowing white instrument resting in his hands. His own eyes turned to the sky, hovering for a moment as he plucked a few discordant notes from the instrument before looking back down and over to me, meeting my gaze.
ââSuppose nowâs as good a time as any.â He shrugged, giving me a small smile as I nodded, wrapping my tail around his wrist before gently nuzzling into his neck and turning my eyes back to the battle.
The sharp, plucky, barking
twang of the banjo called out across the mountain tops, echoing back to us like a distant friend as Chrisâ
voice filled the air, joining the banjo in its reprise. The slow, wavering song danced between us just as the violence for the stars above, weaving amongs the whispering chorus of the trees and the chattering, throaty backing of evening insects.
âBut I want to be where all the stupid shit I say Sounds so romantic and true. Cause I'd rot in hell with you, If you'd just ask me to. I love the shitty things we do together, Live with me in this sin forever.â Memories flooded my mind with the words and hanging notes that echoed across the valley before us. The panic of our
first solo flight as Chris pushed
Shamrock for everything sheâd had to give us, trying desperately to keep her in one piece as he blew past every limiter to get Maeve to the hospital as fast as we could. Concern roiling in my chest as I helped him to the truck after heâd dove into the river after, soaked to the bone, shivering and frozen but still so
proud. The frustration of the two of us hard at work on
Polani the paw after weâd gotten her, tail, and elbow, deep in carbon, grease and oil as we cursed everything under the stars. The
fear of the cradle as the thunder of shells slamming into
Polaniâs hull filled her halls, the
horror as one stalked me within
my homeâŚ
âCause home is the last place that I'd stand to be with anyone but you. I'd rot in hell with you, If you'd just ask me to. I love the shitty things we do together, Live with me in this sin forever. Hell and you, I know you want it too. I hope you take the shot, see this chance. Feel the fire, and let me have this dance with you.â I pressed into his side with a contented sigh, listening to the last echoing twangs of the Banjo and his voice as they called back across the great expanse before us. A long, cool breath filled my lungs before I leaned up to give his cheek a small, loving lick as a purr rolled through my chest. âI love everything we do together too, Love. Almost as much as I love just having you in my life at all.â
His mouth split into that broad, goofy grin as his hand pulled me just a little closer, his heavy voice rolling through me, just as comforting as always. âI love you too, Darlinâ.â
âSoâŚâ I whistled, my tail twitching back and forth with amusement as I spoke into his neck. âAbout that dan-â
The words faltered in my mouth as a building light caught my eye, harvesting my attention skyward.
There, seemingly hanging in the sky, a pair of ships were tangled, no
speared together. Both of them were burning fuel as munitions explosions wracked their hulls and trailing plumes of wispy atmosphere vented from their hulls as they plummeted to earth together, locked in their own deadly dance. The fires of re-entry blazed across both of their hulls as parts, pods and melted trails of slag broke away from both of them. The rammerâs guns opened up, sending round after round out after the escape pods that had bailed from the other ship, turning scores of them into little more than puffs of smoke that never had a chance.
As the pair grew closer I could finally make out what they were, or at least who the aggressor was. A Federation light cruiser was speared dead in her midship by the unmistakable, sleek curves of a Venlil Destroyer ending in a hextet of thrusters that still belched plumes of burning hydrogen fuel into the sky as she drove her opponent towards the certain death of the mountains below them with everything they had. The screaming
roar of the ship reached my ears, their cacophonous echos casting across the mountain range like the angered, belligerent wails of someone defending everything they held dear.
That ship doesnât have U.N. markings⌠Stars above that ship⌠those are Venlil. âDamnâŚâ
âStars aboveâŚâ
Chris and I watched what amounted to a grand, defiant headbutt as it traced its path down from the stars above. The pair of dancing ships continued their descent, pirouetting to the mountains below them like experienced partners just as their arms and thrusters screamed at each other like enemies with a centuries old grudge to settle.
âShit⌠theyâre cominâ down on Salt Pond.â Chris whispered, his eyes tracking the pair as they plummeted.
Mountains rose into sight beneath them, the distant mountainâs peak reaching into the sky like it was anticipating, just
hoping for the chance to dash the interloper across its face.
âH-How far is that?â
ââBout twenty miles as the crow flies. âLeast no one lives on that one I think, âsides maybe the rangers.â
The fleets far above them were still locked in a furious fight, the monstrous flanks of the federation ships pushed on, crashing through the defenders like a harvester through wool-grass. Ships of both sides fell from their formations, ablaze like the stars around them, only growing brighter before flaring into catastrophic explosions that cast them into incalculable pieces that fell to the ground below like a meteor shower.
âThink theyâll manage?â I whispered, a sprout of fear and doubt managing to push past the stone of hope Iâd done my best to embed in my heart.
âI hope so, Darlinâ. I ho-â
The cacophonous screech and cavernous
boom of metal crashing into stone, trees and dirt filled the air, drowning his voice out and sending birds scattering from the trees around us as the ground beneath us shuddered from the impact.
Then everything went whi-

2024.05.17 09:24 Filippopotame Deck Guide 8 - Autopilot Spell'atael
| Deck code !W1(mU[-/-&-a-L@b@o@u$u%#3[@X#+$Q$Raf "As long as we stand, no human foot shall trample Dol Blathanna's meadows" If youâve played on the ladder recently, you might have realized there are more and more Spellâatael decks running around, because itâs so freakish strong. But like Sauron did, âOne Deck was made to rule them all, One Deck to find them, One Deck to bring them all and in the darkness bind them." It all started when the elven saboteur was reworked for its third iteration, probably even stronger than what he used to be. The first combo I discovered is him into moon dust, which is an unconditional deal 14 damage (15 value), so excellent value/removal. The issue was that this deck required you to think a little bit. You struggled for proactivity and the opponent can play around it by playing low tempo, if they happen to be thinking too. Since Iâm not good at thinking, here I present you the most braindead but effective Spellâa tael to date: decoctionâatael. The basic idea of this deck is we try to get the biggest elven saboteur value we can. To do so, we need to play the white Raffard decoction before the Giga Scorpion one, and we need to have the saboteurs pull out the Giga Scorpion. So, in theory you try to play Triss into white raffard and play as many white raffardâs from elven merc (since he can choose). Youâll notice we play 26 cards and have an extra scout. This is so elven mercenary has another target to choose from beyond the decoctions, and has fewer changes to âwasteâ a gigascorpion. With all that said, in practice, itâs hard to minmax the decoctions, so just do what you can, do not overfocus on it and youâll be doing more than enough points anyway without pulling the perfect game. The gameplan is quite linear, simple and reliable. The first step is to operator a dol blathana sentry: operator is pulled by ADC, so you have effectively 4 ways to draw him (himself, ADC, natureâs gift or Isengrim), then you do your decoctions stuff as explained above, while trying to control the opponentâs most dangerous stuff with Ida or Compression. Marching orders is your best friend in the early game, and is often the most convenient Eithe target, enabling you to thin reliably. Finally, you slam those four 20 points bronzes, followed by lady of the lake. Pushing as hard as possible is the way to go, because otherwise you risk giving the opponent a way to scorch all your units or something similar, and your late game is so crazy you can afford to be cards down. For cards replacements, those who are experimented with the deck and want a challenge, can play AglaĂŻs instead of Lady: she is higher potential, can allow you to thin to 0 without spending Eithne and buffs protectors BEFORE they are actually played etc. BUT she is harder to play and can be dead, like vs spies. From round 2, you can pretty much thin to 1 (or 0 in round 3) from almost whatever hand you draw, so donât be afraid to take a good pass even if havenât already thinned. In terms of mulligans Iâm not to sure about how to minmax everything, but letâs just say you donât want more than one decoction (or the scout) in hand. Beyond that, hope for golds and silvers and try to get as many tutors as you can to make mulligans easier. This is an abolute top tier, able to rival the most broken decks; like handbuff, dwarves, discard, lyrians etc. (not saying itâs above those, but it can hold its own against each). I played this the whole season, but Iâve had friends iterate on it and give me new ideas of optimization, and for this I thank Von Schwarz, Khreygond and especially M0psim for their discussions. This guide doesnât need to be longer, if you appreciate this kind of degeneracy youâll find it pretty much plays itself and Iâll let you try it by yourself. Also taking advantage of the occasion before saboteur is eventually nerfed. As always, see you on the ladder and long-live legacy Gwent! submitted by Filippopotame to DIYGwent [link] [comments] |

2024.05.17 05:39 EJC28 Eagles 2024 Draft Analysis Compilation
Round 1, Pick 22 - Quinyon Mitchell, CB, Toledo: NFL: Terrific in all phases of the pre-draft process, Mitchell is a perfect fit for a Vic Fangio defense that uses a ton of man-to-man on the outside. He has all the traits to be a CB1 at the next level, giving Philadelphia exactly what they desire from a technical perspective at the position.
CBS Sports: B+. The Eagles wait and get the best corner in this draft. Thatâs smart. There was talk of them trading up, but now they land a player who fills a need with age creeping into their defense. Nice pick.
ESPN: The general belief entering the draft was that the Eagles would have to trade up to land one of the top corners. But the board fell general manager Howie Roseman's way. In Mitchell, they get a blazing fast (4.33 second 40-yard dash) playmaker who led the FBS with 15 pass breakups last season. He could make an immediate impact on a defense that finished second-to-last in touchdowns allowed (35) in 2023.
NFL Absolutely Not Fake News: His favorite snack is rice and pickle juice.
Round 2, Pick 40 - Cooper DeJean, CB, Iowa: NFL: The Eagles somehow managed to trade up and land DeJean, who might be best in a nickel/safety hybrid role, to supplement their Day 1 pick of Quinyon Mitchell. Consider the secondary upgraded. DeJean could do for the Eagles what Brian Branch did last year for the Lions. This feels like a terrific selection for a defense that was way overtaxed by season's end in 2023. Plus, DeJean is a quality returner.
CBS Sports: A-. Howie Roseman strikes again. DeJean is a fine tackler, dynamic athlete who can align anywhere and provides plus return ability. Fills a need in this secondary that needs reworking.
ESPN: One of the worst secondaries in the league last season will have a new look in 2024. After selecting Mitchell in the first round, the Eagles moved up in Round 2 to take DeJean, a multidimensional playmaking defensive back. He has experience at both corner and safety. Some project Cooper as a safety at the pro level, though there's a sentiment within Philadelphia's building that he can "do it all." DeJean proved to be a difference-maker for Iowa on defense -- he was named first-team All-American and Big Ten Defensive Back of the Year -- and was an impact punt returner as well.
NFL Absolutely Not Fake News: Still needs to hold someoneâs hand when crossing the street.
Round 3, Pick 94 - Jalyx Hunt, DE, Houston Christian: NFL: The rare Ivy League safety-turned-Southland Conference pass rusher. Hunt is an unusual prospect, but he's intriguing and athletically blessed enough to be a pass-rush project who can be groomed behind the scenes while he works out on special teams. His development could take time but might pay off in a big way.
CBS Sports: B-. Former Cornell safety turned small-school dominant edge rusher with tantalizing traits. Showed impressively advanced hand work despite being new at the position but still a work in progress. Size, length, burst, bend are there. Will take time to acclimate to better competition. Pick is all about upside.
ESPN: The Eagles roll the dice on a former safety with plenty of upside. Philadelphia is in a state of transition at the edge position. Haason Reddick was traded to the New York Jets this offseason and Bryce Huff was signed in free agency. Brandon Graham is likely playing his last NFL season and Josh Sweat is in the last year of his contract. Hunt, the 2023 Southland Conference Defensive Player of the Year, has plenty of ability but needs time to develop.
NFL Absolutely Not Fake News: This feels like the appropriate place to remind you to drink water.
Round 4, Pick 127 - Will Shipley, RB, Clemson: NFL: Shipley was one of my favorite prospects outside of my top 100. He is an underrated athlete who runs with a competitive spirit and looks like a fine third option behind Saquon Barkley and Kenneth Gainwell.
CBS Sports: C+. Jack of all trades master of none. Works diligently between the tackles and has decent wiggle. Not overly elusive. Speed is a plus. And heâs very useful out of the backfield as a receiver.
ESPN: The Eagles add a versatile skill player to an already dynamic offense. Shipley rushed for over 800 yards last season and caught 31 balls for 244 yards, while also serving as an effective kick returner (28.6 yards per return). The new kickoff rules should increase the value of returners, and Philadelphia just added a couple intriguing options in Shipley and DeJean. He could earn a spot in the running back rotation overt time, as well, alongside Saquon Barkley and Kenneth Gainwell.
NFL Absolutely Not Fake News: Spends his winters in Toledo⌠Spain. Not Ohio, are you insane?
Round 5, Pick 152 - Ainias Smith, WR, Texas A&M: NFL: A jack of all trades for the Aggies, Smith touched the ball in a variety of ways and might have to make the team on special teams initially. His smallish frame limits his upside, but Smith is competitive and useful.
CBS Sports: A. Experienced, older prospect with YAC juice and plus contact balance. Slot, possession type and plays bigger than his shorter size, but he comes with a compact frame overall. Catch radius is very tiny. Will take time to become a quality route-runner. Gadget-y type in college. Dynamic honed skills.
ESPN: Slot receiver was a need entering the draft, and the Eagles add an intriguing one in Smith. He had over 2,400 receiving yards at Texas A&M and also contributed as a runner, toting the ball 72 times for 405 yards (5.6 average). Smith can return punts and kicks as well. The Eagles have added multiple players in this draft with return abilities, including Cooper DeJean and Will Shipley.
NFL Absolutely Not Fake News: Has a banana costume he wears during showers.
Round 5, Pick 155 - Jeremiah Trotter Jr., LB, Clemson: NFL: Last year, we had the feel-good story of Deuce Vaughn getting the chance to go to work with dad. This year, the division has delivered again on Day 3, with a second generation of Trotter landing in Philly. The younger Trotter has the hitting ability and intensity to make it, and not just as a legacy pick.
CBS Sports: A. Young, super-smart reasonable athlete at the off-ball LB spot. Speed can be special once he gets into top gear. Blitzing is a speciality. Active but not someone who plays at full throttle every play and tackling reliability could improve. Knows how to defeat blocks en route to the RB. What I love most are his ball skills and coverage chops underneath and at intermediate level. Dad was a beloved Eagle in the 1990s and 2000s.
ESPN: Never will a fifth-round pick be more celebrated in Philadelphia. Jeremiah Trotter Sr. is an icon in the city after eight memorable seasons in the middle of the Eagles defense in the late 1990s and early 2000s. Now his son will be in Midnight Green. Trotter Jr. had 88 tackles (15 for loss), 5.5 sacks and a pair of interceptions for Clemson last season, one of which he returned for a touchdown. He could have the chance to compete for playing time early, as he joins a linebacker room that includes Nakobe Dean, Devin White and Oren Burks.
NFL Absolutely Not Fake News: Was on his schools varsity backwards alphabet team as a freshman.
Round 5, Pick 172 - Trevor Keegan, OG, Michigan: NFL: Michigan's OL talent ran deep, causing Keegan to shift between left tackle and left guard a few times, and he might not possess a superpower as an NFL prospect. But his toughness, football IQ and competitive nature might allow him to settle in as a seventh lineman on game days.
CBS Sports: D+. Limited athlete at guard but has plenty of experience and run-blocking skill. Best blocking in phone booth. Has minimal range but does have good burst off the ball. The speed just stalls almost instantly. Aware of stunts and blitzes just canât always get there. Too early for him but I understand adding OL depth on Day 3.
ESPN: The Eagles address their need for offensive line depth with the addition of Keegan, a three-time All-Big Ten selection. He started three seasons at Michigan, playing primarily left guard, and was a captain last season for the national championship team. The Eagles still have to solidify a starter at right guard and need to build out depth following the departures of Jack Driscoll and Sua Opeta in free agency. Keegan will compete for a roster spot this summer and go from there.
NFL Absolutely Not Fake News: He once quenched his thirst on the shores of Lake Minnetonka.
Round 6, Pick 185 - Johnny Wilson, WR, Florida State: NFL: On the opposite end of the spectrum height-wise from Malik Washington is Wilson, who will immediately be among the tallest receivers in the NFL at 6-foot-7. He's sort of a TE-WR tweener, lacking the speed of a wideout and the strength for a tight end, but you may call him a weapon -- possibly in the red zone.
CBS Sports: A-. Enormous wideout, essentially a sleek TE but has legit WR-like movement skills. Hands are incredibly boom-or-burst. A moose in the open field leads to him dragging defenders and is a capable blocker.
ESPN: At 6-foot-6, 231 pounds, Wilson is not your average receiver. It's easy to understand why the Eagles would want to take a chance in the latter rounds on a player who has rare size to go with 4.52 40-yard dash speed. He didn't post exceptional numbers in college (41 catches, 617 yards, 2 touchdowns in 10 games last season) but if he can develop on the next level, Wilson would be well worth the investment.
NFL Absolutely Not Fake News: He won the amateur ninja warrior competition when he was 6.
Round 6, Pick 190 - Dylan McMahon, C, NC State: NFL: Center-only prospect on the next level, lacking desired length and NFL play strength. McMahon plays with good intelligence and technique, which serves him well against average competition, but he is likely to struggle when it comes to getting and keeping NFL competition blocked in both the run game and in pass protection. He will need to get bigger and stronger and play for a zone-scheme unit to have a shot at sticking on a roster.
CBS Sports: C+. One of the elite testers at the center spot in this class. Lacks supreme length and it hurts him at times. Counters drive him crazy for long stretches. Accurate when climbing to second level. Balance could improve. Project-y type with traits.
ESPN: McMahon played both guard and center in college. He can provide further depth as the Eagles prep for life without future Hall of Famer Jason Kelce. Cam Jurgens is expected to move from right guard to center to replace Kelce, leaving an opening at the right guard spot. McMahon will compete for a spot on the 53-man roster during training camp.
NFL Absolutely Not Fake News: Keeps a case of skin flakes on handâŚ.for you knowâŚ.just in case.

2024.05.17 04:34 NCCI70I REPORT FROM THE FIELD THURSDAY MAY 16
| My wife wanted to get out of the house, so I said sure, how about a trip to the LCS across town. The shop was empty mid-afternoon when we arrived and only 2 customers came through during our time there. And yet when I asked if theyâd been busy at all, the answer was yes. Yet again a rewarding visit to the generics tray, that was completely turned over from my last visit. Once again I will reiterate that these are what walk-ins are selling to them. And I found a couple of items in what I call his Secret Case. The one where they put things that they donât immediately put out for sale and not everything in it is for sale. Iâll remember to get a picture of it on a future visit. This time there was a Pearl Harbor medallion barely visible that I got for a few dollars above spot, and a second medallion that caught my interest, but that the owner held back to think more about how he wanted to price it. Generics Tray Again, surprisingly, a lot of 1oz bars in the generics tray. Given how popular Iâm told that they are, Iâm glad that I didnât wait until tomorrow, as had been my original plan when we have business over on that side of town as well. Looking for interesting things, I picked up 7 ounces for myself, and my wife got convinced to add an ASAHI round (not shown) to her stack. I do feel that ASAHI makes one of the cleanest, most attractive, rounds out there. Obverse Reverse u/surfaholic15 take note that weâre falling behind again on trading for things that we both like, because Iâm betting that youâre going to see somethings of interest here. This time I have a Sunshine Minting 1oz bar, which I find uncommon. They are so much better known for their rounds. A 1982 Sunshine Mining round from back when the mint was part of the mine. A nice condition Boy Scout round from before they changed their name to the meaningless PoS name that they have adopted now. The afore mentioned Pearl Harbor USS Arizona round that the owner couldnât specifically pin down, although he said that he found a lot of similar ones online. A 1985 dated Silver Trade Unit round for people who like silver trade units. Another JM round at the generic price that Iâm guessing is likely worth more. And an MLK bar with some toning on the gold that is clearly made by the people who also made the Ambush At Oriskany gold plated bar that I posted recently. In other news, there clearly isnât any run on pre1965 US 900 fine coinage silver. Thereâs even at least one well-worn Barber dime in with the other dimes. And a few mercury dimes as well. And at least 1 walking liberty half dollar. Pre1965 Coinage Silver New this time were Âź and â
ounce fractional 999 silver buffalo rounds at a respective $40 and $50 per ounce of silver. Pretty, but a No Sale to me at those prices. Fractional Buffalos End of Report submitted by NCCI70I to SilverDegenClub [link] [comments] |
