Sat 9 AM – 12 PM Bosque Restoration Field Day Tingley Beach, Tingley Dr. SW Help us restore Bosque habitat, Yerba Mansa, and other native plants. Our restoration work includes the removal of invasive non-native Ravenna Grass from the understory along with the replanting and reseeding of native grasses, herbs, and shrubs. These events are open to all members of the community so bring your family and friends. Work takes place at our Albuquerque restoration site located along Tingley Drive, south of Central. Park in the lot at the south end of all the fishing ponds, which is .8 miles south of Central. Wear protective long sleeve clothing and bring plenty of water as well as work gloves and a shovel, if you have them. I 26F is the youngest of 3. My Brother 33 and my sister 27. Please pardon my grammatical errors and punctuation mistakes my mind is every where .My mom is quite a handful she became pregnant with my brother at the age of 15 which led to her dropping out of school and it didn’t help that my grandmother made her watch her nephew ( he’s a year older than my brother ) and my brother at the same time stating “ you know how his mom is always in the streets ?” So my cousin has always had a soft spot for my mom… fast forward 7 years later my mom is 23/24 and now has three kids and no she wasn’t with either of our fathers. So I’m not sure I’m the exact timeline but she met this guy named AL . AL was wrong for all of the wrong reasons. I still remember I would hear the yelling and breaking of pictures and vases many traumatic things took place during that relationship including me being sexually assaulted many of times … They ended things and she met my former stepfather she was 10 yrs his senior. So while she’s in her 30’s with 3 kids he’s in his 20’s with only one. But he was amazing to us. People often thought he was my biological father because with both have indigenous features. As time went on though I noticed we never had a stable home we moved almost every year. During the summer before 5th grade we moved to another state and literally within that one year we lived in 3 different apartments. The summer before I got to middle they got into a huge fight which led to them getting a divorce. We ended moving back to our hometown with my grandma and her husband which was no better but at least there was a home cooked meal every night and hot bath and bed… all throughout middle I just couldn’t adjust I was always getting picked on. My 7th grade year my mom told us we would be moving back in with AL (at this point she didn’t know what had happened because I didn’t tell her ) so moving back in with my abuser I was even more afraid to speak up … but I didn’t wanna leave my grandma but her husband was even weirder. So now I’m in the end of 7th grade going into the 8th grade and her and AL finally call it quits … he didn’t try anything then but I didn’t let him either anytime he walked in a room I left it. 8 grade year I transferred to a new school because we had to move AGAIN. I was so angry by that point because I knew at this new school these kids already had their groups because they were all from the same neighborhoods so yeah but it wasn’t as bad there where moments were girls tried me but it didn’t get far… but I started to Rebel and then I just snapped … I was at home when my dad came over ( now a back story on my dad is he’s 10 years older than my mom and has so many kids it’s not even funny oh did I mention he’s a deacon and a Mason … ironic ain’t it…. But he’s been happily married to my amazing breast cancer surviving step mom for 24 and they have 2 kids together my youngest sister and brother who has down syndrome ) but yes my dad called me from my room and he and my mom started fussing at me together and I just shut down and said “ he took my child hood from me “ my dad then said “ who did “ and I responded “ AL “ my dad looked me in my eyes and said “ stop lying “ I was in such shock and defeat I just put my head down … it wasn’t until my sister chimed in and said “ she’s not lying I saw him do it “ that’s when my dad tried to hug me I pushed him away and ran out of the house I could still hear my mom crying ( now that I’m grown and a mom of 2 I call bs to her emotions ) I was placed into counseling but it was basically for no reason the damage was done I hater people from then on … the icing on the cake for me was when I found out years later that my mom actually when to AL’s house because my mom is apart of a friend ground that watches wrestling and so they all go to different places to watch the PayPerView … she was upset that AL’s woman was there and tried to fight her … but now that I’m a mom I just can’t fathom choosing my childs abuser over my child…I know it’s a lot to read and unpack and I will answer any and all questions to the best of my abilities so Reddit AITAH????

Chapter 17: The Escape Plan
Gribble huddled in the corner of his cramped, gloomy cell. The damp stone walls seemed to close in around him, making him feel even smaller than he already was. A chill seeped into his bones, causing him to shiver and wrap his arms tightly around himself. The only sound was the steady drip, drip, drip of water echoing in the dungeon.
The heavy iron cuffs clamped around Gribble's wrists felt as cold as ice against his skin. They weighed him down, a constant reminder that he was trapped in this awful place. Gribble's mind raced with frantic thoughts, zipping around like angry bees in his head. He knew he had to find a way out, and fast. If he didn't escape soon, the wicked goblin king Grimrock would surely snatch him up.
Gribble squeezed his eyes shut tight and tried to calm the whirlwind of worries swirling inside him. "Come on, Gribble, think!" he muttered to himself, his voice small and shaky in the gloom. "You've got to come up with a plan. You can't let Grimrock win!"
As Gribble sat there, his back pressed against the rough stone wall, a tiny flicker of an idea began to glow in his mind. His eyes popped open wide as he remembered his special power - the ability to create itty-bitty flames no bigger than a seed. A surge of hope bloomed in his chest, spreading through him like a warm sip of tea on a chilly day. Maybe, just maybe, his little flame seeds could help him break free!
Gribble took a deep breath, trying to steady the nervous fluttering in his stomach. He knew he had to be extra careful and sneaky if he wanted his plan to work. The guards couldn't catch even a hint of what he was up to, or else he'd be in even bigger trouble.
Moving as quietly as a mouse, Gribble inched his hands towards the lock on his cuffs. His heart thumped wildly in his chest as he peeked around the cell, making absolutely sure no one was watching. The sturdy metal of the cuffs seemed to mock him, daring him to even try to break free. But Gribble set his jaw in determination, refusing to let a silly old lock get the best of him.
With trembling fingers, Gribble brought his hands close to the lock, so close he could almost feel the chill of the metal against his skin. He took one more quick look around the cell, double-checking that the coast was clear. "It's now or never," he whispered to himself, gathering every scrap of courage he had.
Gribble closed his eyes and pictured the inside of the lock in his mind, like a tiny metal puzzle waiting to be solved. He focused hard, calling forth the tiniest flame seed he could muster. The little spark danced on his fingertip, no bigger than a grain of sand.
As Gribble was concentrating, he wondered for a moment, a little question began to niggle at the back of his mind, like an itch he couldn't quite scratch. Why hadn't the magic cuff stopped his own special powers from working? Gribble tilted his head to one side, his brow furrowed in thought. "Hmm, maybe what I can do isn't really magic after all," he mused, tapping his chin with one finger.
But then, quick as a wink, a big grin spread across Gribble's face, and he gave a carefree shrug. "Ah, who cares about all that complicated stuff anyway?" he chuckled, his eyes twinkling with mischief.
With the utmost care, Gribble guided the flame seed towards the lock, his forehead crinkled in concentration. The bitty flame twirled and spun like a playful fairy as it slipped into the nooks and crannies of the cuff. Gribble held his breath as he watched it work, his heart thumping in anticipation.
The flame seed nestled into the lock like a baby bird in its nest, its soft glow casting eerie shadows on the dungeon walls. Slowly, slowly, it began to heat the metal from the inside, sapping the strength from the cuff bit by bit. Gribble felt a flicker of pride as he sensed the metal starting to yield to his clever little flame.
"That's it, just a little more," Gribble whispered encouragingly to the flame seed. He kept his eyes glued to the cuff, watching for any telltale signs of weakening. The warmth of the metal seeped into his skin, a tangible reminder of the progress he was making.
As the flame seed worked its magic, Gribble's ears perked up at the sound of distant footsteps echoing down the dungeon corridor. His whole body tensed, and he fought the urge to yank his hands away from the cuff. "Steady, Gribble," he told himself firmly. "You can't stop now."
The footsteps grew louder, the clomping of heavy boots against stone getting closer and closer. Gribble's heart raced like a galloping horse, and beads of sweat formed on his brow. He silently pleaded with the flame seed to work faster, knowing he was running out of time.
Just as the footsteps reached a crescendo, the metal of the cuff finally gave way with a soft, barely audible click. Gribble's eyes flew open wide, hardly daring to believe it. The flame seed had done it! The cuff was weakened, compromised by the heat.
Gribble quickly extinguished the flame seed and tried to arrange his features into a look of hopeless defeat. He couldn't let the guards suspect anything was amiss. The cell door creaked open, and two burly trolls stomped in, their faces twisted into sneers.
"On your feet, prisoner," one of them growled, roughly hauling Gribble up by his arms. Gribble let himself hang limp in their grasp, playing the part of the beaten-down captive. Inside, though, his heart soared with a flicker of hope.
As the guards marched him out of the cell and into the winding dungeon corridors, Gribble's mind raced ahead, already plotting his next move. He knew he had to bide his time and wait for just the right moment to make his escape.
The damp air closed in around him as they walked, the guards' tight grips digging into his arms. Gribble stumbled along between them, his bare feet scraping against the rough stone floor. With each step, he focused inward, reaching out with his mind to the slumbering earth vines he knew lay hidden beneath the dungeon.
"Wake up, my green friends," Gribble called out silently, pouring all his strength and will into the plea. "I need your help to bust out of here!" He felt a stirring deep in the ground, a faint pulsing of life answering his summons.
The guards, completely oblivious to Gribble's mental conversation with the earth, trudged onward, their heavy boots thudding against the floor. They yanked him around corners and down narrow passageways, the labyrinth of the dungeon seeming to close in around them.
As they walked, Gribble sent tendrils of his thoughts snaking through the cracks and crevices beneath the dungeon, coaxing the earth vines to follow. He could sense them stretching and unfurling, their roots creeping through the soil like a thousand tiny fingers.
Gribble's heart hammered against his ribs as he gathered his power, readying himself for the crucial moment. Just as they turned down a particularly dark and dank corridor, he unleashed a silent command to the earth vines, urging them upward with all his might.
The vines burst through the stone floor in an explosion of dirt and rubble, their green tendrils writhing and twisting like angry serpents. The guards cried out in shock, their grips on Gribble's arms loosening for a split second as they tried to dodge the sudden eruption.
Seizing his chance, Gribble wrenched himself free from the guards' slackened grasp. He summoned the earth vines to his aid, directing them towards the weakened cuff on his wrist. The vines surged forward, their strong fibers seeking out the cuff's vulnerabilities and latching on tight.
Gribble gritted his teeth as the vines constricted around the compromised metal, their grip as unyielding as iron. The cuff groaned and strained under the onslaught, hairline cracks spiderwebbing across its surface.
The guards, recovering from their initial surprise, lunged for Gribble with outstretched hands. But the vines held fast, anchoring Gribble in place and fending off the guards' grasping fingers. Gribble poured every ounce of his strength and focus into the vines, willing them to crush the cuff once and for all.
With a final, wrenching twist, the vines shattered the weakened metal, sending shards of the cuff flying through the air like glittering confetti. Gribble's hand was free at last! He flexed his fingers, marveling at the rush of liberation that flooded through him.
The guards, their faces contorted with rage and disbelief, redoubled their efforts to recapture him. But Gribble was too quick, too slippery. He ducked and wove between them, his small size and agility working to his advantage in the narrow confines of the dungeon corridor.
Desperation lending speed to his feet, Gribble raced down the passageway, the earth vines slithering along beside him like loyal companions. The guards gave chase, their angry shouts and pounding footsteps echoing off the stone walls.
Gribble's lungs burned and his legs ached as he ran, but he pushed himself onwards, knowing that stopping meant capture and a fate worse than death at the hands of Grimrock. He had to find a way out, had to taste the sweet air of freedom once more.
Just as the guards began to close in, their hot breath panting at his heels, Gribble made a snap decision. Gathering every last scrap of power within him, he focused his mind on the one place he longed to be more than anything - outside the dungeon walls, beneath the open sky.
With a blinding flash of light and a rush of displaced air, Gribble vanished from the dungeon corridor, leaving the guards grasping at empty space. He materialized in a sprawl of limbs on the soft grass outside, the sudden brightness of the sun making him blink and shade his eyes.
For a moment, Gribble simply lay there, his chest heaving as he gulped in lungfuls of fresh, sweet air. The vastness of the sky stretched above him, an endless expanse of blue that seemed to welcome him into its embrace. Gribble felt a grin spreading across his face, a bubble of pure, unadulterated joy welling up inside him.
He had done it. Against all odds, he had outsmarted the guards and won his freedom. Gribble pushed himself to his feet, his legs still shaky from the wild rush of his escape. He knew he couldn't linger here for long - Grimrock and his army would surely be searching for him, eager to drag him back to the dungeon and make him pay for his defiance.
But for now, in this one perfect moment, Gribble reveled in the feeling of the moonlight on his face and the earth beneath his feet. He had proven to himself that he was more than just a small, insignificant goblin - he was a force to be reckoned with, a master of his own destiny.

Ask Not What Your Company Can Do For You
We have tried to utilize our government regulatory agencies, The SEC, and The DOJ to champion our cause. Unfortunately, it is possible for the DOJ, and The SEC to be influenced by political interference or other factors that could compromise their ability to investigate and prosecute financial fraud and other crimes. Here are a few ways in which this could happen: 1. Political appointments: The DOJ is led by the Attorney General, who is appointed by the President and confirmed by the Senate. If the President or other political actors prioritize the interests of certain companies or industries over the enforcement of the law, they may appoint an Attorney General who is more likely to pursue or ignore certain cases based on political considerations. 2. Lobbying and campaign donations: Companies and interest groups may lobby members of Congress or the DOJ directly to influence their decision-making processes. Additionally, campaign donations and other forms of political spending can create conflicts of interest for elected officials who have oversight over the DOJ. 4. Revolving door: There is a revolving door between the DOJ and private industry, with many former DOJ officials going on to work for the very companies they were tasked with regulating or prosecuting. This can create conflicts of interest and a perception that the DOJ is too cozy with the industries it is meant to oversee. This is also true for The SEC. 5. The SEC is also subject to potential political influence and conflicts of interest. However, the SEC does have some important powers that can help it combat financial fraud and market manipulation, such as the ability to bring civil enforcement actions and issue administrative sanctions. So far this has been useless for GME investors. Additionally, the SEC is overseen by a bipartisan commission, which can help to provide some balance and accountability in its decision-making processes. 6. Remember that In June 2023, two Republican members of the U.S. House of Representatives introduced a bill called the "SEC Stabilization Act," which would have removed Gary Gensler as Chair of the SEC and restructured the agency.The bill was introduced in response to concerns about Gensler's leadership of the SEC, including allegations that he had politicized the agency and failed to protect investors. However, the bill did not pass, and Gensler remains in his position as Chair of the SEC. The SEC is a politically independent agency, and its Chair is appointed by the President with the advice and consent of the Senate. That being said, it's true that there is no foolproof solution to the problem of political interference in regulatory agencies, and all of those in charge of these agencies are not exempt from pressure from those that appointed them. Forget about non governmental agencies helping expose crime, like the DTC or the CFTC.
What’s next? I’m proposing a discussion to draft a letter that can be utilized by concerned household investors, to be sent to their States Attorney General’s. There are approximately 200,000 DRS’ed individuals. They took the time to DRS, and should be able to paste and click a letter to their Attorney General, to protect their investments.
Why contact Attorney General’s you may ask? I think that we have a better chance of finding a dedicated honest person out of 50 Attorney General’s, than the two politically hamstrung agencies that supposedly represent the people.
I have written a rough draft of a letter highlighting some points that I found relevant. This is not etched in stone, and I welcome all suggestions. I have also listed the current Attorney General’s for the United States.
If someone better suited wants to take point on this, that’s fine. RC is doing what he can, let’s also do what we can to protect our investment and expose the criminals of Wall Street.
Dear Attorney General [Name],
I am writing to express my deep concern over the current state of the financial markets and the potential for fraud and market manipulation. Recent events have highlighted the urgent need for greater transparency and oversight in the markets to protect investors and maintain public trust.
Of particular concern is the possibility of certain market participants using tokenized stocks, and other methods to provide locates, and swap positions to hide naked short positions that evade regulatory oversight. This behavior poses a significant risk to market stability and could harm innocent investors. Naked short selling, involving selling shares without borrowing them first, can artificially drive down stock prices and create liquidity problems for companies.
Additionally, I am troubled by the repeated extensions of the compliance deadline for swaps reporting regulations by the Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC). These extensions have delayed the implementation of crucial transparency measures, casting doubt on the CFTC's commitment to ensuring timely and accurate swap data reporting. Although these would be self reported, there would be a paper trail for investigators.
Moreover, I bring to your attention the anomalies surrounding GameStop (GME) stock, including:

1. Blatant dark pool trades where large blocks of shares are traded off-exchange with little transparency, potentially distorting market pricing and volume data.Internalized trading by market makers, skewing market activity data and limiting price discovery, potentially benefiting certain market participants unfairly.
   
2. Unusual sell pressure on the lit market for GME, while buy orders are internalized or sent to dark pools, creating artificial downward pressure on the stock's price.
   
3. GME's first annual profit in years reported on 3/26/24 causing a significant aftermarket drop, raising questions about market behavior and possible manipulation.
   
4. Reporting anomalies in GME's Direct Registration System (DRS), where approximately 200,000 investors have DRS'ed 25% of GME, yet GME's reporting of this figure in their quarterly reports has not changed over four quarters despite continued additions to positions. This lack of transparency can obscure the true ownership structure and potential manipulation activities.
   

Furthermore, self-reporting by market makers (MM) and hedge funds (HF) cannot always be trusted, risking inaccurate or misleading information that impacts market integrity and investor confidence.
History has shown that unless the wealthy are affected, as in cases like Bernie Madoff's, there is often a lack of justice in financial matters. Therefore, state-level action and oversight are essential to ensure all market participants are held accountable and household investor interests are protected.
I urge you to use your authority as attorney general to thoroughly investigate these concerns, collaborate with federal regulators and law enforcement agencies, and take decisive action to protect investors and maintain financial market integrity.Thank you for your attention to this critical matter. I await your response and the actions you will take to safeguard investor interests and the broader public.

1. Roman Reigns vs Solo Sikoa, Tribal Combat. Roman returns to WWE as a good guy after Solo says he is the real Tribal Chief. Tribal Combat is the only solution, however Roman loses due to Solos new Bloodline being too much and Roman having nobody in his corner. This leads to an eventual Bloodline reunion Wargames Match (Roman, Usos, Sami). WINNER: SOLO SIKOA
   
2. Becky Lynch vs Liv Morgan, Womens World Title. Liv Morgan finally starts picking up some wins and stops finishing second after adding Dom to her corner. She works her way back up the card after losing the title match at King and Queen of the Ring. Here she uses Dom to help her beat Becky, then beats her down after the match before Rhea finally makes her return. WINNER: LIV MORGAN
   
3. Logan Paul vs LA Knight, United States Championship. Still not sure why this was not the WrestleMania match but not every big match needs saved for Mania. Feud already built in as we have seen these two do not like each other. WINNER: LA KNIGHT
   
4. Cody Rhodes vs Randy Orton, WWE Championship. Story is built already for these two and we are just waiting for it. I would keep it Face vs Face for this one. Randy earns number one contendership, friendly battle. Cody retains and Randy raises his hand (Maybe hits an RKO as I think there is a trilogy here). WINNER: CODY RHODES
   
5. Jade Cargill vs Bianca Belair, Womens Intercontinental Championship. After a lengthy run with the tag championships Nick Aldis retires the titles to introduce a new IC Women's Title that will hover between both brands. The former tag champs face off the crown the first champion. Jade wins here and will eventually turn heel as I think this can lead to a WrestleMania match of Jades undefeated streak vs Biancas WM streak. WINNER: JADE CARGILL
   
6. Drew Mcintyre vs CM Punk, Hell in a Cell Match for the World Heavyweight Championship. This is already the best story in the company and is just waiting for both men to be healthy. Drew finally wins the big one at Clash at the Castle. CM Punk makes his return in the Money in the Bank Ladder Match to win the briefcase and he cashes it in for this match ahead of time. Punk wins here for two main reasons, it furthers that interesting story of how much Drew hates the MITB Briefcase, and it puts the title on a good guy for Gunther to beat in Berlin for it. WINNER: CM PUNK
   Kept the card short in the spirit of Triple H PPVS as well as leaving off Seth and Rock because I dont believe either of them will be back in time for the show.

Raw Return - December 30th
Cena says he’s here for one last run to show that he can still be a world champion and go out at the top of this business. Says he plans to win his record setting 17th title and at the end of that reign he will ride off into the sunset, but if he doesn’t have a world title by the time WrestleMania ends, he’ll retire. He immediately gets to it and challenges CM Punk for the World Heavyweight Championship on next week’s New Years Revolution Raw. Punk heads to the ring and he and Cena share some fun moments while Punk accepts the match. Theory and Waller interrupt them and they end up having a tag match. Cena and Punk defeat Theory and Waller.
New Year’s Revolution Raw - January 6th
After a hard fought main event, Cena falls short to Punk. Punk and Cena talk quietly for a moment after the match before Punk shakes his hand and leaves Cena in the ring clearly frustrated. All of the sudden the New Bloodline storm the ring and attack Cena in relation to their unfinished business. CM Punk heads back to the ring and helps Cena fight off the Bloodline to end the show.
SmackDown - January 10th
The Bloodline (Solo, Tama Tonga, and Tanga Loa) challenge Cena and Punk to a tag team match on Raw. They tell them to bring a third partner.
Raw - January 13th
Main Event time. Randy Orton returns after a 2-3 month break as Cena and Punk’s partner to take on the Bloodline. Orton, Cena, and Punk defeat the Bloodline in a really fun reunion for the three former rivals. Seemingly finishing up Cena’s feud with the Bloodline.
Raw - January 20th
Cena heads to the ring and says it’s now time to focus on the business he came back for. He officially declares for the Royal Rumble. He says it’s still in his plans to walk in to WrestleMania as a world champion but winning the rumble once again is a sure way to get another championship match. He is interrupted by Bron Breakker on the stage who says that he feels he and Cena have some unfinished business from the last time they saw each other. Cena tells him just like the many other punks he’s told this to over the years “If you want some, come get some!” The match is made official and Cena defeats Breakker, heading into the Rumble with some needed momentum.
Royal Rumble - January 25th
Cena enters the Rumble early enough to have spots with a variety of people. Former rivals such as Sheamus and Lashley and new faces such as Dragunov and Gunther. Eventually a tired Cena is eliminated by a fresh Solo late in the Rumble. After elimination Tama Tonga and Tanga Loa attack Cena and put him through a commentary table.
Raw - January 27th
An angry John Cena comes to the ring and says he thought after he, Orton, and Punk defeated the Bloodline that he was done with them, but apparently not. He challenges Solo 1 on 1 for this week’s SmackDown. He says that will take care of Solo for good, and that this match will be the end of him and Solo’s war so that he can get back to focusing on the winning a championship.
SmackDown - January 31st
Cena is facing Solo in the main event and puts Solo away after two attitude adjustments. Tama Tonga and Tonga Loa show up to batter Cena after the match and he is trying to fight off both men when all of the sudden the Usos music hit and they rush to the ring and brawl out into the crowd with Tama and Tanga Loa. Solo then hits Cena with a cheap shot and gets ready for a spike when the music of Roman Reigns hits (who recently returned at the Rumble and helped Cody take the title back from The Rock) Roman quietly enters the ring behind Solo and when Solo turns around he get hit with a spear from Roman. The show ends with Roman and the Usos in the ring with Cena. Roman and Cena have a brief stare down before shaking hands.
NXT - February 4th
Cena reveals on social media Monday morning that he will be stopping by NXT to have his first and only NXT match ever. He challenges any superstar of tomorrow that thinks they’re ready to step up and show out. Cena comes out for the NXT open challenge. There are several good options for this match but I think a cool one would be (theoretically) recently signed Hook. Hook would have a great intense showing before ultimately losing to Cena. Cena shows respect to him after the match.
SmackDown - February 7th
John Cena defeats Grayson Waller to qualify for the men’s Elimination Chamber match where the winner faces the WWE champion at WrestleMania.
SmackDown - February 14th
A big six man tag match of John Cena and DIY vs Logan Paul (who will also be in the chamber), Theory, and Waller. When the ref isn’t looking Logan gets a cheap shot punch on Cena with brass knuckles. Logan, Theory, and Waller get the win with a member of DIY taking the pin.
SmackDown - February 21st
Cena goes to the ring and says he’s like to have a word with Logan Paul, but Logan isn’t at the show. He says he will get his revenge in due time, but he is interrupted by Carmelo Hayes. Carmelo says that he shouldn’t be worried so much about Logan, but that he should be worried about him. Cena says let’s see what he’s got then. Carmelo says not tonight, he’s resting up for tomorrow, but the match is made official. Melo impresses in the match, but Cena takes home the victory.
Elimination Chamber - February 22nd
John Cena defeats Kevin Owens, AJ Styles, Logan Paul, Carmelo Hayes, and LA Knight to earn title match at WrestleMania. Cena and Styles are the last two men and have what is basically a 10-15 minute singles match against each other to finish the chamber match.

I know people didn't like the storyline in season 8 involving Dany and Sansa and truly believe that this was a show only storyline, yet, re reading the books, those 2 characters are looking more and more as mirrors and foils for each other. Also, the more I read A Clash Of kings, the more certain I am that Sansa will be the Queen in the North by the end. There is a lot of foreshadow of Sansa be queen, in fact, on her first chapter of this novel. Anyway, let's start with Dany and Sansa bizarre dance in the first book A GAME OF THRONES.
We start the books with Dany telling us that "She doesn't want to be his Queen, she wants to go home"

Dany looked at Khal Drogo. His face was hard and cruel, his eyes as cold and dark as onyx. Her brother hurt her sometimes, when she woke the dragon, but he did not frighten her the way this man frightened her. "I don't want to be his queen," she heard herself say in a small, thin voice. "Please, please, Viserys, I don't want to, I want to go home."

Daenerys has no desire on marrying Khal Drogo and be his Queen, she is terrified of him, she thinks he is ugly and unatracive. All she wants is the house with red door and the lemon tree, she is longing for the only place she ever felt happy and safe.

"We will have it all back someday, sweet sister," he would promise her. Sometimes his hands shook when he talked about it. "The jewels and the silks, Dragonstone and King's Landing, the Iron Throne and the Seven Kingdoms, all they have taken from us, we will have it back." Viserys lived for that day. All that Daenerys wanted back was the big house with the red door, the lemon tree outside her window, the childhood she had never known.

Dany wishes to be free, to have no past or future, yet the Targaryen legacy doesn't allow her to make her own choices.

When he was gone, Dany went to her window and looked out wistfully on the waters of the bay. The square brick towers of Pentos were black silhouettes outlined against the setting sun. Dany could hear the singing of the red priests as they lit their night fires and the shouts of ragged children playing games beyond the walls of the estate. For a moment she wished she could be out there with them, barefoot and breathless and dressed in tatters, with no past and no future and no feast to attend at Khal Drogo's manse.

Another interesting detail I notice is how she sees Westeros. It's almost like a dream, a magical place that was described by her in songs, yet, a place she had never actually been. Is something that exists only on her imagination.

Somewhere beyond the sunset, across the narrow sea, lay a land of green hills and flowered plains and great rushing rivers, where towers of dark stone rose amidst magnificent blue-grey mountains, and armored knights rode to battle beneath the banners of their lords. The Dothraki called that land Rhaesh Andahli, the land of the Andals. In the Free Cities, they talked of Westeros and the Sunset Kingdoms. Her brother had a simpler name. "Our land," he called it. The words were like a prayer with him. If he said them enough, the gods were sure to hear. "Ours by blood right, taken from us by treachery, but ours still, ours forever. You do not steal from the dragon, oh, no. The dragon remembers."
And perhaps the dragon did remember, but Dany could not. She had never seen this land her brother said was theirs, this realm beyond the narrow sea. These places he talked of, Casterly Rock and the Eyrie, Highgarden and the Vale of Arryn, Dorne and the Isle of Faces, they were just words to her.

.......on the other hand .... Sansa is absolutely in love with the idea of marrying Joffrey and be his queen. She could not wait to leave Winterfell, the only place that was ever a home for her and march south and marry her beloved prince. In fact she falls in love with him EVEN BEFORE meeting him.
She was told in the begging of the book that Joffrey belongs to her and only her, that he is her betrothed, his future King. He will be HER husband and no one else. Joffrey is supposed to care for Sansa and treat her with affection and love. (we all know how that ended up)

It was a great honor to ride with the queen, and besides, Prince Joffrey might be there. Her betrothed. Just thinking it made her feel a strange fluttering inside, even though they were not to marry for years and years. Sansa did not really know Joffrey yet, but she was already in love with him. He was all she ever dreamt her prince should be, tall and handsome and strong, with hair like gold.

If we switch Joffrey for Westeros, it makes for an interesting parallel. Sansa falls in love with Joffrey before even meeting him, it's the idea of Joffrey that seduces Sansa. He belongs to her, he is supposed to love her and be kind to her. She probably grew up hearing songs and stories about how lovely and honourable princes are. That's Dany's position during most of the books. Westeros belongs to her, the people of Westeros are supposed to care for her and celebrate her return. She never met this strange place, only heard songs and stories about this land. I feel like Westeros is going to break Dany's heart just like Joffrey broke Sansa's heart.
By the end of the book, we know exactly that everything goes terrible for Sansa and her beloved prince is a cruel monster. We start chapter SANSA chapter VI with Sansa in bed, having dreams about her father's death, she is morning the death of her father, Ned Stark. Sansa is heartbroken and very weak, she hasn't eat anything, she wants to die and she cries day and night.

Sometimes her sleep was leaden and dreamless, and she woke from it more tired than when she had closed her eyes. Yet those were the best times, for when she dreamed, she dreamed of Father. Waking or sleeping, she saw him, saw the gold cloaks fling him down, saw Ser Ilyn striding forward, unsheathing Ice from the scabbard on his back, saw the moment … the moment when … she had wanted to look away, she had wanted to, her legs had gone out from under her and she had fallen to her knees, yet somehow she could not turn her head, and all the people were screaming and shouting, and her prince had smiled at her, he'd smiled and she'd felt safe, but only for a heartbeat, until he said those words, and her father's legs … that was what she remembered, his legs, the way they'd jerked when Ser Ilyn … when the sword …

Buy the time Sansa wakes up from her dreams and see Joffrey in front of her, her world has been completely turned upside down. She can see clearly now that he is no hero. and Sansa has now a new goal in her mind. She wants to go home.

"It does not please me," Joffrey said. "Mother says I'm still to marry you, so you'll stay here, and you'll obey."
"I don't want to marry you," Sansa wailed. "You chopped off my father's head!" Sansa stared at him, seeing him for the first time. >He was wearing a padded crimson doublet patterned with lions and a cloth-of-gold cape with a high collar that framed his face. She wondered how she could ever have thought him handsome. His lips were as soft and red as the worms you found after a rain, and his eyes were vain and cruel. "I hate you," she whispered.

From the high battlements of the gatehouse, the whole world spread out below them. Sansa could see the Great Sept of Baelor on Visenya's hill, where her father had died. At the other end of the Street of the Sisters stood the fire-blackened ruins of the Dragonpit. To the west, the swollen red sun was half-hidden behind the Gate of the Gods. The salt sea was at her back, and to the south was the fish market and the docks and the swirling torrent of the Blackwater Rush. And to the north …
She turned that way, and saw only the city, streets and alleys and hills and bottoms and more streets and more alleys and the stone of distant walls. Yet she knew that beyond them was open country, farms and fields and forests, and beyond that, north and north and north again, stood Winterfell.

Sansa is literally switching places with Daenerys, now Sansa doesn't want to be his queen. She thinks he is ugly, she is surprised she never noticed that before. When Joffrey takes Sansa to see her father head, Sansa looks towards the entire city of Kings Landing and her attention now focus in the North. Sansa now longs for the home where she was happy and safe. Just like Dany longed for the house with the red door. We could literally have a line where Sansa says "I don't want to be his queen, I want to go home"...
The next chapter of the book is Daenerys IX we have Dany also having dreams, dragon dreams..

She was walking down a long hall beneath high stone arches. She could not look behind her, must not look behind her. There was a door ahead of her, tiny with distance, but even from afar, she saw that it was painted red. She walked faster, and her bare feet left bloody footprints on the stone. "You don't want to wake the dragon, do you?"

The dream goes on and on for pages, she is waking the dragon, she is flying, she sees the red door..... it's so close.....

The door loomed before her, the red door, so close, so close, the hall was a blur around her, the cold receding behind. And now the stone was gone and she flew across the Dothraki sea, high and higher, the green rippling beneath, and all that lived and breathed fled in terror from the shadow of her wings. She could smell home, she could see it, there, just beyond that door, green fields and great stone houses and arms to keep her warm, there. She threw open the door.......the dragon....

all of sudden, she sees Rhaegar and she hears Jorahs voice whispering the last dragon... I think what's happening here is that the dragon dreams are replacing Daenerys own dreams..

And saw her brother Rhaegar, mounted on a stallion as black as his armor. Fire glimmered red through the narrow eye slit of his helm. "The last dragon," Ser Jorah's voice whispered faintly. "The last, the last." Dany lifted his polished black visor. The face within was her own.
"Yes, Khaleesi." Quick as that Jhiqui was gone, bolting from the tent, shouting. Dany needed … something … someone … what? It was important, she knew. It was the only thing in the world that mattered. She rolled onto her side and got an elbow under her, fighting the blanket tangled about her legs. It was so hard to move. The world swam dizzily. I have to …

Once Dany wakes up she is informed she lost her child and will give Drogo a merciful death. She is now determined to wake the dragons and conquer Westeros, the red door is left behind....

Ser Jorah Mormont drew her aside as the sun was creeping toward its zenith. "Princess …" he began. "Why do you call me that?" Dany challenged him. "My brother Viserys was your king, was he not?" "He was, my lady." "Viserys is dead. I am his heir, the last blood of House Targaryen. Whatever was his is mine now."

Daenerys is now in pursuit of Viserys dreams, she is embracing her House ambitions, all the dreams of being free, of finding the red door and left behind. From now she sets her goals on Westeros. Now Dany does want to be a queen.
Why do I expect Sansa and Dany to clash? first of all, the parallels of those two girls are too strong for me to be ignored, those two little girls have so much in common. Both Sansa and Dany are sold in marriages against their will because of their claims. Dany to Khal Drogo and Sansa to Tyrion Lannister, both never imagined to be heirs of their Kingdoms since they both had older brothers, both have motherhood and longing for children and family in their storylines, both have older protectors who desire them, Ser Jorah and Littlefinger, both are running from assassins in some part of the story....
We know that Sansa will take back the North according George RR MARTIN 2003-2004 outline for AFFC
And once Sansa is back at Winterfell she will feel stronger and safer than she ever was in the beginning of the story. I think she refusing of giving up the North independence was hinted in the books.

His uncle's part went less well. The bride's cloak he held was huge and heavy, crimson velvet richly worked with lions and bordered with gold satin and rubies. No one had thought to bring a stool, however, and Tyrion stood a foot and a half shorter than his bride. As he moved behind her, Sansa felt a sharp tug on her skirt. He wants me to kneel, she realized, blushing. ......She felt another tug at her skirt, more insistent. I won't. Why should I spare his feelings, when no one cares about mine?

A Storm of Swords - Sansa III
Sansa is refusing to kneel so that Tyrion can cloak her in her wedding ceremony. I always thought that this could be a foreshadow for a future storyline. Sansa refusing to kneel and give away the North after conquering back from The Lannisters and Boltons.
And for those who forgot, you have to remember that on book 2, ACOK, Rob has been named King in the North and this decision infuriates Joffrey and she was brutally spanked and tortured every time Rob won a battle against The Lannisters...

"She wore a gown of pale purple silk and a moonstone hair net that had been a gift from Joffrey. The gown had long sleeves to hide the bruises on her arms. Those were Joffrey's gifts as well. When they told him that Robb had been proclaimed King in the North, his rage had been a fearsome thing, and he had sent Ser Boros to beat her.
"Shall we go?" Ser Arys offered his arm and she let him lead her from her chamber. If she must have one of the Kingsguard dogging her steps, Sansa preferred that it be him. Ser Boros was short-tempered, Ser Meryn cold, and Ser Mandon's strange dead eyes made her uneasy, while Ser Preston treated her like a lackwit child. Arys Oakheart was courteous, and would talk to her cordially. Once he even objected when Joffrey commanded him to hit her. He did hit her in the end, but not hard as Ser Meryn or Ser Boros might have, and at least he had argued. The others obeyed without question . . . except for the Hound, but Joff never asked the Hound to punish her. He used the other five for that.

A Clash of Kings - Sansa I
In the chapter 32 of the book we have Sansa be taken to a public audience with Joffrey to answer for Rob latest victory. This entire chapter is a living nightmare, Sansa not only is publicly spanked for Rob's victories, people are laughing at her beating, Joffrey wants her stripped of her clothes, he wants her blood to spill for her brothers triumph. Sansa literally spills her blood for the North Independence.

When she emerged, Sansa walked on the Hound's left, away from the burned side of his face. "Tell me what I've done." "Not you. Your kingly brother." "Robb's a traitor." Sansa knew the words by rote. "I had no part in whatever he did." Gods be good, don't let it be the Kingslayer. If Robb had harmed Jaime Lannister, it would mean her life. She thought of Ser Ilyn, and how those terrible pale eyes staring pitilessly out of that gaunt pockmarked face.....Joffrey stood in the center of the throng, winding an ornate crossbow. Ser Boros and Ser Meryn were with him. The sight of them was enough to tie her insides in knots. "Your Grace." She fell to her knees. Frowning, he lowered the crossbow. "I'd shoot you too, but if I do Mother says they'd kill my uncle Jaime. Instead you'll just be punished and we'll send word to your brother about what will happen to you if he doesn't yield. Dog, hit her." "Let me beat her!" Ser Dontos shoved forward, tin armor clattering. He was armed with a "morningstar" whose head was a melon. My Florian. She could have kissed him, blotchy skin and broken veins and all. He trotted his broomstick around her, shouting "Traitor, traitor" and whacking her over the head with the melon. Sansa covered herself with her hands, staggering every time the fruit pounded her, her hair sticky by the second blow. People were laughing. The melon flew to pieces. Laugh, Joffrey, she prayed as the juice ran down her face and the front of her blue silk gown. Laugh and be satisfied. Joffrey did not so much as snigger. "Boros. Meryn." Leave her face, I like her pretty... Boros slammed a fist into Sansa's belly, driving the air out of her. When she doubled over, the knight grabbed her hair and drew his sword, and for one hideous instant she was certain he meant to open her throat. As he laid the flat of the blade across her thighs, she thought her legs might break from the force of the blow. Sansa screamed. Tears welled in her eyes. It will be over soon. She soon lost count of the blows. Enough," she heard the Hound rasp. "No it isn't," the king replied. "Boros, make her naked." Boros shoved a meaty hand down the front of Sansa's bodice and gave a hard yank. The silk came tearing away, baring her to the waist. Sansa covered her breasts with her hands. She could hear sniggers, far off and cruel. "Beat her bloody," Joffrey said, "we'll see how her brother fancies—" What is the meaning of this?" The Imp's voice cracked like a whip, and suddenly Sansa was free. She stumbled to her knees, arms crossed over her chest, her breath ragged.

Sansa was abused, beaten, humiliated and threatened with death because the North proclaimed independence, her blood was spilled every time Robb achieved a victory. And by the end, for her to suddenly giving up after so much pain and sorrow doesn't seem likely.
sooo, yeah, those are my ramblings. I have been re reading the books now after season 8 and I am not gonna lie to you, some storylines do seem to have come straight from George.
So yeah, I think we may have a clash of those two characters in the end, just like season 8, but I believe it would be better done by George himself.

In the previous part, we saw the first few months of AJ Styles’ run within WWE, which were quite eventful. A fun sequence at Royal Rumble, a strong showing against the Undertaker, and winning tag team gold at his first WrestleMania… not too shabby at all. But now, let’s see how long this strong start can continue…before things inevitably start to fall…

While Ric Flair would come up short in his match against Undertaker at WrestleMania, he seemingly shrugs it off, going back to supporting Styles and Maven. He tells them that preparation and awareness is the biggest key to success: you don’t know what’s going to happen at any point…but watch for the signs…watch for the people that want to take you out…
And soon, Styles and Maven would find this out first hand, the Dudleys being PISSED at having lost their Tag Titles. In particular, they harbor resentment at Styles: they were able to dispatch of Maven through that table…but Styles is a bigger threat. And after declaring that they’re invoking a rematch clause for the belts that they weren’t actually pinned for…they take their anger to another level, hiring the APA to take out Styles! This assault occurs just a week before the PPV, leaving Maven in a rough spot…but he says he’ll defend these belts like his life depends on it… in a handicap match if he has too! And with AJ not being medically cleared for the show, that stipulation is made official, the Dudleys ready to reclaim what was always theirs…

And as expected, the numbers disadvantage quickly rears its ugly head for Maven, the former Tough Enough star able to get in a flurry on Devon at the start, but Devon able to hit him with a cheap shot from the ring apron allowing Bubba to get right back in control. The residents of Dudleyville make great use of rapid tags, getting a strong amount of enjoyment from beating down their helpless opponent, especially as Maven starts to favor his previously injured knee about midway through the match. With the Dudleys firmly in control, their taunting turns to a full-on promo, calling out Styles knowing he damn well won’t and can’t show up…unless…
THE TITANTRON SUDDENLY SHOWS A CAR SPEEDING TO THE ARENA! The Dudleys are confused, especially when it’s not the expected AJ Styles who steps out of the vehicle…but Ric Flair? Flair smiles at the camera, before then surprising the Dudleys even more:
“I’d suggest you two turn around.”
And when they do…STYLES COMES SPRINGBOARD INTO THE RING TO HIT BOTH DUDLEYS WITH A CROSSBODY! Clearly Flair’s message of preparation and awareness helped AJ and Maven, the stunt of not letting the Dudleys know AJ was healthy for the match all along allowing them to get control in the match just as all hope was lost! Once Maven is able to tag out, Styles goes on a rapid run of offense, the Dudleys unable to really recover from the sheer surprise, and the match concluding with AJ drilling Devon with a Styles Clash for the 1-2-3!

While it was Styles and Maven who pinned the Dudley Boyz, Bubba Ray and Devon would soon set their sights on the man who helped with the stunt: Ric Flair. Combining forces with the APA once again, Bubba Ray and Devon look to make a statement towards Styles and Maven, especially with a 4-on-3 numbers advantage now…until the Hardy Boyz decide to help AJ Styles and company! While disappointed they lost at Mania, Matt and Jeff admit they respect Styles and Maven, seeing some of their high flying style in them, and willing to help…especially with AJ and Maven willing to defend the tag titles against them once this ordeal is done!
Over the next few months, The Hardyz, Styles, Maven, and Flair are able to counter the Dudleys, Bradshaw, and Farooq well, including winning an eight-man tag at Vengeance. However, it would be at the same Vengeance event where something in Ric Flair would…change. Ric would simply be a manager and not actually in the match, but an errant Jeff Hardy Whisper in the Wind would hit Ric in the head, giving him a nasty concussion. But along with the physical pain…something seems to change mentally for the Nature Boy as well. He becomes more distant from Maven, focusing his attention and advice more so on Styles. He tells AJ that he needs to be a step ahead of not just the Hardyz, but even Maven, and during a backstage segment on Raw, he entrusts AJ with an unseen to the audience “gift”: he’ll know when to use it…

Despite Flair’s change in demeanor, Styles and Maven do their best to focus on the in-ring threat the Hardyz possess. As expected, the match is a sheer speed spectacle, momentum exchanging pretty rapidly, but despite Styles and Maven’s offense being solid…the Hardys are just a touch better in every aspect. They’re more fluid with their tag team offense, more endurance (especially with Maven’s knee-related issues), and we start to see signs of frustration from Styles in particular. However, he’s able to mostly keep his cool, and after Maven is initially able to take out Matt Hardy on the outside, AJ starts preparing to finish off Hardy…but the match is interrupted…
HERE COMES RIC FLAIR TO THE RING! He’s pointing at AJ, yelling at him to “use your gift”: AJ looks hesitant, but reluctantly pulls out…a pair of brass knuckles! The Dirtiest Player in the Game is clearly trying to pass that trait onto his protege now, but while Styles looks at it for a moment…he just shoves the metal into Flair’s chest! He’s refusing to use it…but before Ric can reprimand his student…JEFF HARDY DROPKICKS AJ INTO RIC, KNOCKING FLAIR OFF THE APRON! With Styles staggered and Matt able to send Maven into the steel steps on the outside, no one else to help AJ, Jeff hits a Twist of Fate in the center of the ring before finishing things off with a Swanton Bomb! 1…2…3!!!

After a strong (especially for this era) five month reign, Styles and Maven have finally lost their gold…but despite Flair’s glares from the outside, they still acknowledge the Hardyz after the match, shaking their hands in a sign of respect…maybe this loss is a good thing for them…

Unfortunately for AJ…things would quickly take a rough turn! On the SmackDown following SummerSlam, Flair would inform Styles that both of them would be staying on SmackDown However, Maven would be traded to Raw! AJ is stunned, asking who would orchestrate this trade…with Flair revealing he pulled some strings to get the deal done! Now furious, AJ questions why he should stay with Flair…with the Nature Boy saying he’ll get him to unlock a Ruthless side in him… he’ll get him to be a singles star. Although harboring anger at Flair, AJ knows he needs at least someone in his corner…at least for now…
Unfortunately for AJ, Flair’s best idea of getting him to become this singles star…is forcing him in the toughest matches imaginable! Flair enlists AJ to compete in handicap matches nearly every week, demanding excellence and wins under the logic of “if you can beat two men at once…you can damn sure beat one.” While Styles is able to have decent success in these contests, it’s clear his body is getting exhausted… but Flair seems to approve of the progress being made. However, Ric soon begins propping up his “final test”...Styles is getting an opportunity at the WWE Champion Brock Lesnar! Styles is ready for it, ready to make an impact…but Ric is expecting more than just an impact… can AJ provide what he’s looking for?

Although the training leading up to this point was absolutely grueling…it seems to work for AJ! Specifically, his stamina and endurance clearly took a step up, and despite Brock’s power profile, AJ is able to frustrate his fellow young star by surviving some of his signature offense, including an F5 midway through the match! And with Brock getting frustrated, he also becomes sloppier than usual, giving Styles multiple opportunities to catch Lesnar with some quick strikes and breaking out some more moves in his seemingly unlimited arsenal, including a Torture Rack Bomb! However, with Ric Flair watching from ringside, it felt inevitable something would happen involving him eventually…
AND THAT SOMETHING HAPPENS ONCE AGAIN JUST AS STYLES IS LOOKING TO FINISH THE MATCH! Ric gets on the apron once more, handing AJ the brass knuckles…use it this time, prove that YOU are the better young star than Lesnar. Styles once again hesitates…BUT ONCE AGAIN, HE SHAKES HIS HEAD NO! Flair looks on for a moment, before simply shaking his head and starting to walk up the ramp. AJ ignores this, moving over to Lesnar, picking him up for the Styles Clash, but Brock is able to reverse, sending AJ over his head and onto the mat. Styles backs into the corner, but too close to the referee, and when Brock runs at AJ…STYLES DUCKS, AND LESNAR COLLIDES WITH THE REF!
With the ref now down, Paul Heyman uses this as an opportunity to try and get involved, to try and screw Styles by hitting him with the world title belt…but AJ sees it coming, ducking and hitting Heyman with a Styles Clash! As Paul rolls out of the ring lifelessly, Lesnar tries to get AJ from behind, but Styles drills him with a Pele Kick! With the Beast on a knee, dazed, AJ exits the ring, looking ready to go for a Phenomenal Forearm…
BUT RIC FLAIR NEVER LEFT, HE COMES UP BEHIND STYLES AND HITS HIM WITH A LOW BLOW! With a calm look on his face, Flair sends the vulnerable AJ back into the ring, the ref not having seen a thing due to the bump, and Lesnar is able to hoist Styles up, putting him down with an F5 and picking up the win under the most disappointing circumstances!

And as Flair walks away, we can see him mouth two words at the ring, at Styles:

With Flair having betrayed his own protegee, he decides to venture back to Raw, just because he was “feeling like it” and definitely not to avoid an angry AJ. However, Styles doesn’t appear on SmackDown over the course of December or January, seemingly healing up from the grueling months prior, both from a physical and emotional perspective. But with Flair continuing to mock AJ’s “lack of killer instinct” and “inability to listen” leading up to his declaration for the Royal Rumble Match, along with Ric claiming that he can out wrestle Brock unlike Styles…it’s likely AJ will be back sooner rather than later…

Royal Rumble 2003: Men’s Rumble Match
Flair enters the match at #16, and while he looks confident initially…he’s shocked to see the #17 entrant is Maven! Flair tries to reason with Maven, saying he didn’t mean any harm when he sent him to Raw… but the Tough Enough winner isn’t having it, going after Flair with several stiff shots to the face…clearly he learnt not to hold back. However, as Maven tries to eliminate Flair…Ric yells something out:
“IT’S TIME!”
On cue, the young Randy Orton and Batista, also in the match at this point, turn away from what they were doing…AND THEY START JUMPING MAVEN! Maven tries to fight back, but Orton and Batista are able to overpower him, and after a Batista Bomb, Flair gets the pleasure of not just eliminating Maven, his former protegee…but most importantly, showing the creation of a new alliance…an Evolution of his past ones…
With Orton and Batista now helping protect him a bit, Flair continues getting more and more arrogant by the second…it might not be the 70s or 80s or 90s anymore, but this is still HIS ring. However, the smile fades from his face when the #23 entrant comes out…
IT’S A RETURNING AJ STYLES! With a complete glare on his face, AJ storms to the ring, immediately springboarding in and taking out both Batista AND Orton! Flair, like earlier with Maven, tries pleading, but AJ pulls a page out of the Nature Boy’s playbook and low blows him immediately! As Flair winces in pain, Styles keeping him hoisted up, AJ gives him a look of “revenge is a dish best served cold”...before quickly tossing him over the top rope and eliminating his mentor!
Upon seeing this, Batista and Orton are furious, going after Styles the rest of the match, but AJ fights them off, managing to eliminate Orton and even the Undertaker to get some revenge from that rivalry. Styles reaches the Final Six, but he ultimately gets eliminated by Eddie Guerrero. Though AJ didn’t win…he ruined Ric Flair’s night…kinda a win in itself…

While Flair would assume that Styles was stuck on SmackDown…Styles soon reveals otherwise! AJ was only given a one year SmackDown contract, and now that it’s expired…he can appear on whatever brand he chooses while he weighs the options for where he wants to go next! And since Maven, his former partner, and Flair, his current enemy, are here… he thinks Raw is gonna be FUN to explore!
Infuriated at this turn of events, Flair tries to use the numbers game of Evolution (including World Heavyweight Champion Triple H) to put down this resistance, but Styles and Maven are able to get some back-up in Triple H’s challenger Booker T! And soon enough, a tag match is announced for WrestleMania 19: AJ Styles and Maven, Flair’s original protegees last year, vs Randy Orton, the newest protege…and Ric Flair himself!

WrestleMania 19: AJ Styles and Maven vs. Ric Flair and Randy Orton’
As expected, Flair has very little interest in starting the match, entrusting Randy to go knock off his former students. However, after Styles is able to immediately nail Orton with a devastating Brainbuster, Orton seemingly knocked out, Flair is forced to go in the ring to break the pin up…only for Styles to see it coming, keeping a hold of Flair’s leg as he gets up and drilling him with a vicious dragon screw takedown! Flair winces in pain, and Styles starts stomping on him despite Flair not even being the legal man, forcing both the ref AND Maven to intervene to allow the match to continue in a proper manner. Maven offers to come in for Styles, to let AJ’s head cool down, which is agreed to. But as soon as Maven does tag in…Randy Orton is able to hit him with a quick powerslam, shifting the control to the side of the heels.
For the remainder of the match, Maven is stuck unable to get to his feet to tag in Styles again, Orton alternating tags with Flair and giving Ric an ego boost of destroying Maven’s knee, Styles furious watching on unable to do anything. There’s multiple instances where he tries to illegally enter the ring, the ref forced to hold them back and allowing Evolution to get a cheap shot in on the other side without being noticed. But finally, after Orton gets a little too cocky/slow going for the awful Overdrive maneuver…Maven is able to reverse, leaping across the ring and tagging in Styles!
And Styles is able to go on a tear, quickly dismantling Orton with several stiff shots, including a forearm shot that busted open Randy’s nose. Clearly woozy, Randy instinctively tags in Flair, who doesn’t want to fight Styles…but Styles is more than happy to. Flair tries to outgrapple and outtechnical AJ, but in a moment of student outclassing the teacher, AJ shows off some impressive grapples of his own, before even locking in Ric’s own Figure Four! While Flair manages to reverse the pressure, it was clear Styles had an impressive rendition of the maneuver, stunning even Flair, who slowly gets up to his feet. Styles meanwhile is back near his own corner, another look of rage in his eyes as he seemingly wants to end this…
But Maven tags himself in! AJ is shocked, yelling at Maven that he wanted to finish off Flair! Maven says he wasn’t trying to steal the spotlight, he just sees the look coming over AJ again…a DQ loss to those clowns would be even worse, would it not? Styles just stares back at Maven, not responding but slowly getting back on the ring apron. However, as Maven approaches Ric…Flair is able to get behind him, chop blocking Maven’s weak knee! And as Flair drags Maven to the center of the ring, he stares at Styles, giving him a mocking “good effort” clap before applying the Figure Four on Maven! AJ tries to get in the ring, but Orton suddenly appears behind him, grabbing a hold of his leg! Styles manages to break free, but just a split second before he can break up the submission…MAVEN TAPS OUT!

And just like that, AJ’s revenge match against Flair… was for naught. He didn’t even take the pin, he was a second away from saving the match…but Flair still got the better of him…this is unreal…

So I have loved the series since I was very young (I’m 24 now) and I would love to see a few of these ideas implemented in the future!

Concept name: “Pokemon: Champions”
It is a remastered version of all 3 of the first generations of Pokemon, COMBINED into ONE game. Not as 3 separate releases, but as one release combining all 3 major titles (Pokemon: Red & Blue, Gold & Silver, and Ruby & Sapphire). Based in a 3D world similar to Scarlet and Violet, this will be a modernization of the original games. The game will be optionally online allowing you to decide if you want to experience Pokemon online with other players, cooperatively with your friends, or solo! The choice is yours!
What’s New?

• The Map will be a combination of all three original regions with one mystery region at the center. You will be able to traverse between the three regions by utilizing fly, a gate, boat, etc.. to travel to the next region to continue your journey after completing your starting region’s primary objective (Defeating the Champion). Each player’s starting region will be determined by which copy of the game they choose to purchase.
• There will be 3 separate versions of this game, each with its own generation and starting region. Region exclusives will be very limited but will exist to encourage players to connect with others from different starting regions.
• Once a player has completed the main objective in their starting region, they will be given the option to decide on a new region to continue their journey.
• Players will have the option to embark on this journey alone, with a friend, or online with other Nintendo online users. These three modes will be titled respectively, “Adventure, Co-op, & Champions”

Adventure - When starting an Adventure, Pokémon Champions will play just like any main series title. It is a standard adventure with the goal being to become the champion of all 3 main story regions!
Co-op - When playing Co-op, the experience is very similar to what you would find in Adventure mode, but now with the option of doing so with a friend! Both players will be able to conquer their region together once they have completed their original region. The story will adapt to the addition of a second player and tailor lines to intertwine both players into the story. Voice lines and dialogue will also vary based on whether the second player is present or not (NPC’s who previously spoke to you when your friend was present may ask about their absence, and certain enemies may mention their name in battle) ultimately changing certain aspects of the story.
(NOTE: Players cannot participate in any online adventure outside of their starting region until they have completed the main quest of that region. Once completed, the player will be given the option to play online in the next region of their choice. Though, the player CAN play Co-op with another player at the beginning of their adventure if they both have the same starting region.)
Champions - When playing Champions, the player will now have earned access to the central island, “Champions Mountain” located at the center of the 3 main islands. It is a tropical island that is surrounded by a beautiful beach, stunningly green valleys, a bustling city, and an enormous mountain in the center of it all. (Champions Mountain is the only location where a player has access to Pokémon from ALL 3 regions at the same time.) To gain access to Champions Mountain, players must first defeat the champion of their starting region. Once the champion is defeated, the player will now be introduced to whole new world of Pokémon! New species exist here and you are no longer alone to “Catch Em’ All” because Champions Mountain is a completely online experience that allows players to interact and battle against each other in the open world. The open world is separated into 4 separate stages, with each stage unlocking new Pokémon to catch and new trainers to battle! Each new stage requires a different badge status that can only be obtained through the completion of the main story. If the player has only defeated the champion of their starting region, they will only be allowed access to the first stage of the island, Beginner’s Beach.

• Beginner’s Beach, a forested beach that surrounds Champions mountain, littered with amazing new water and grass type Pokémon. Here, players will be welcomed and introduced to the island and the starting town of Little Kanto. They will be accompanied by other trainers who have just finished defeating the first region of their journey to becoming the champion. This is the first stage of the island and will be a testing ground for new trainers who are eager to prove themselves worthy of the next stage. In order to advance to new stages, the player’s must first either defeat the Stage Boss (The Pokémon party of the player with the most registered online wins after 60 total battles in the current stage) or they must defeat the champion of a second region within the main storyline. The Stage Boss will be located at the entrance to the next stage and will be a model of the Boss’s online character with the first Pokémon of their party standing next to them. Stage Bosses will remain active for at least 24 hours before cycling to the next player if the Stage Boss has been surpassed in wins) Upon completing one of the two requirements, players may now gain access to Hero’s Hill. (Those who defeat the stage boss will receive an additional badge on their online profile for doing so)
  
• Hero’s Hill. Winding green meadows, beautiful forests, bordered by a mountain wall that is spotted with cave entrances. Players that have made it this far are worthy of such beautiful scenery. Many new Pokémon reside here with a larger range of types and evolution stages. Players here can explore the grassy meadows or wooded forests filled with flying, dark, and grass type Pokémon. Mountain caves can also be explored and are filled with fire, rock, ground, and steel type Pokémon! Hero’s Hill is an intermediate stage for trainers that are serious about becoming the next champion. This stage will also follow the “Stage Boss” system, but if the player has defeated the champion of a third region, they may also advance to the next stage, Victor’s Valley.
  
• Victor’s Valley. Where beautiful meadows meet a rocky tundra. This is the third stage of Champions Valley and also the final test that stands between the trainer and competing for the title of champion. We hope you brought your jacket, because it can get pretty cold here. Majority of the landscape is covered with snow and serves as the home of many new ice, flying, and dragon Pokémon with some water Pokémon living near the waterfall located at the center. This is the first stage where beating the stage boss or gaining gym badges will not assist in your advancement, because there is NO stage-boss. Here, you must win at least 30 battles INSIDE Victor’s Valley to advance to the final stage. Double Battles won with friends also count towards this number. Once completed, players will now have earned access to Champion’s Circle
  
• Champion’s Circle is the final stage of Champion’s Mountain. It rests at the peak of the mountain and is the central hub for all trainers who have now earned the title of Pokémon master. Here, players will compete against each other to earn rewards and leaderboard status that will be posted for all to see. Here, players will able to battle on stage for others within their server to spectate, trade amongst other high level players, and they will now have access to clan creation and even weekly events that take place at champion’s circle. The top players in your region as well as in the entire world will be displayed for all to see in the main lobby.

World’s Biggest Construction Project Gets a Reality Check

Saudi Arabia’s plans for twin 105-mile-long skyscrapers have lost momentum amid spiraling costs and construction glitches

The engineers saw a mountain-sized problem.
For weeks, thousands of trucks and diggers had worked 24 hours every day, scooping millions of cubic feet of sand at the world’s biggest construction project known as Neom in Saudi Arabia. But the workers had dumped the massive pile of dirt—now hundreds of feet wide—in the very spot where architects planned to dig a waterway out to the Red Sea.
So, the trucks and diggers went back to work, picking it all back up and making a new mountain of sand nearby in a costly hiccup that epitomizes the Saudi project’s turbulent journey from an audacious concept to a sprawling operation that has faltered in its execution.
Defying skeptics, Saudi Arabia is barreling ahead with hundreds of billions of dollars in projects at Neom, a built-from-scratch region the size of Massachusetts, typified by sci-fi architecture, an arid ski resort and a laundry list of flashy projects meant to attract a population larger than New York City’s.
None is more brazen than a multitrillion-dollar pair of skyscrapers taller than the Empire State Building designed to run 105 miles long and house nine million people, the flagship development dubbed “The Line.” Its champion, Saudi Crown Prince and de facto ruler Mohammed bin Salman, has likened the project to Egypt’s Great Pyramids.
The kingdom in recent months downsized the Line’s first phase, facing the reality of costs at a time the country is spending far more than it is taking in. Now organizers plan to initially build around 1.5 miles of the structure by 2030, rather than the roughly 10-mile first chunk that had previously been envisioned, multiple people briefed on the plans said. Still, even that truncated section would be by far the world’s largest building, the equivalent of more than 60 Empire State Buildings of square footage.
Asked in a CNBC interview last month about a Bloomberg report on the scaled-back first phase, Saudi Minister of Economy and Planning Faisal Al Ibrahim signaled the long-term ambitions for the Line remain the same.
“There is no change in scale—it is a long-term project that is modular in design,” he said, adding that “today, the economy in the kingdom is growing faster, but we don’t want to overheat it.”
The stakes for Saudi Arabia are as outsized as Mohammed’s ambition. Neom is the ultimate symbol of his plans to transform the kingdom’s economy, reduce its dependence on oil revenue, and make it a magnet for money and talent from around the world. But he risks squandering much of the country’s cash on an unprecedented experiment in city building that could prove too difficult to deliver.
“Mohammed bin Salman is gambling here,” said Madawi al-Rasheed, a visiting fellow at the London School of Economics and a member of a group calling for democratic reform in Saudi Arabia, an absolute monarchy.
“Spending so much money should in theory generate a tangible leap in the Saudi economy,” she said, but much of the cash so far was spent on foreign consultants and architects.
A mountain of challenges lies ahead. More than 100,000 additional construction workers must be housed in a barren corner of the kingdom’s vast desert, two hour’s drive from any sizable city. Neom’s needs for steel, exterior glass and other materials are so massive they may push up global prices and be difficult to source. Planners worry the unique central concept of the Line, a vertical city housed in twin skyscrapers the length of Delaware, could prove to be an unappealing place to live.
At the same time, the scaled-back plans for the Line put a spotlight on Neom’s enormous bill for what is now poised to be a midsize city. Neom executives now expect fewer than 200,000 residents in the project’s first phase—the population of Knoxville, Tenn.—a current and former employee familiar with the plans said. Yet Neom is spending on vast infrastructure intended for millions of people, including a giant airport, a high-speed train running through a 20-mile mountain tunnel, massive desalination plants and large civic features in the Line such as an opera house, the former executive said.
The price tag keeps rising. The projected cost of a ski resort in the region’s arid mountains has more than doubled over two years to $38 billion as of October, according to Neom documents reviewed by The Wall Street Journal. Real estate advisory Knight Frank estimates more than $237 billion of construction contracts have already been commissioned at Neom.
Even for one of the world’s largest exporters of crude oil, Neom might just be too expensive. Its official cost estimate is $500 billion, 50% more than the country’s entire federal budget for the year and more than half the value of its sovereign-wealth fund.
Executives working on the project dismiss that number as unrealistically low. The first 1.5 miles of the Line alone is estimated internally to cost more than $100 billion, two people familiar with the plans said.
If it were fully built, Neom employees expect the true price of the Line would be well in excess of $2 trillion. Construction costs per square foot are more than double what is standard on other Middle East towers, they said.
This makes it unlikely Neom will attract significant private investment to fund future phases of the Line, they say. It has been funded thus far by the Saudi government.
Neom is the centerpiece of an overhaul of Saudi Arabia’s economy and identity that Mohammed began in 2015 when his father ascended the throne. Then 29 years old, the son of King Salman outmaneuvered potential heirs and rapidly consolidated power.
Hungry for change, Mohammed allowed more Western cultural norms and eliminated restrictions that forbade mixing of sexes, women drivers and cinemas. He also put even tighter limits on speech, crushing dissent over the rapid change.
The plan, Vision 2030, called for an array of new non-oil industries such as entertainment and technology and building mega-sized real-estate developments to help it become a global tourism hub.
Mohammed’s team sought proposals from the world’s top architects for ideas to design Neom. The avant-garde Los Angeles designer, Morphosis Architects, headed by Pritzker prize winner Thom Mayne, pitched a city that was 100 miles long and 1.2 miles—or two kilometers—wide, with buildings spread across the ground.
The prince had a different idea.
“I told the team, how about if we take that two kilo and we flip it to two towers to the whole line,” he said in a Discovery Channel documentary last year, clapping his hands together vertically like someone closing a book.
The idea of the skyscraper city was born.
Architects got to work designing a pair of parallel towers 650 feet apart, shrouded in a shimmering mirror glass coat that reflects red desert sand and azure blue sea. At their highest, the towers are slated to rise 1,640 feet above the desert floor, although they will be less tall in spots depending on the terrain they are traversing.
Internal documents from 2021 call for more than seven billion square feet of floor space—29% larger than all of the buildings in New York City put together and the size of more than 2,000 Empire State Buildings. Apartments, offices, schools, police stations, museums and a royal palace would be peppered inside.
Stunning—and costly—architecture is a priority. Mohammed told Neom executives he wants a sense of “zero gravity” with features appearing to defy physics and float, former executives said.
A linear city has long captivated urban planners. In 1882, Spanish architect Arturo Soria y Mata proposed an elongated urban development that inspired the “Ciudad Lineal” district of Madrid. The Line has been compared internally to Epcot Center, a former Neom executive said, the 1960s-era complex at Disney World that was intended to be a futuristic city dependent on high-speed rail. It was abandoned after Walt Disney ’s death. Epcot later became a theme park.
A linear city as big as the Line is at odds with how humans have developed cities for millennia: naturally building outward in a circular manner, typically around a core.
“It’s battling against the entire history of the way cities are founded and grow,” said John E. Fernandez, professor in the department of architecture at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.
Even supporters say it is an experiment that could easily fail in practice.
In a planning document under a heading of “Key Concerns,” an employee said four different times that by fixating on building miles-long skyscrapers, Neom had turned the normal design process inside out. “USE would usually drive DESIGN. We are using DESIGN to drive USE,” the anonymous comment said.
The shape has added to challenges.
In 2020, before Mohammed unveiled the project, he asked employees to move the Line’s western end a few miles because he preferred the terrain, said people familiar with the request. Designs had to shift slightly across the entire 105 miles, causing months of extra work.
Architects have struggled to find the best ways to mix sunlight and open space in the interior. Internal documents show they wrestled with how to differentiate neighborhoods so as not to create a monolithic block—opting to build distinct half-mile sections with a different look and feel. They worried about drab living conditions at the base of the interior, given that the height of the towers would allow little light down low.
According to planning documents, designers proposed leaving gaps atop the modules to “bend” the structures around the curvature of the earth, which arches about 8 inches per mile.
Planners fretted over the billions of birds that fly on a migration route—a less-than-ideal location for a 1,600-foot-tall glass mirror.
“It is inevitable that a significant number of birds will perish,” designers wrote, with an illustration of a dead northern flicker, a woodpecker.
Looming over Neom is an inauspicious history of city-building projects, which typically die on the drawing board. Those that are built are usually scaled down, and often considered sterile.
One of modern history’s largest is Brasília, the Brazilian capital that strained the country’s finances when it was constructed in the late 1950s. After opening, residents complained of lifeless streets and a lack of neighborhood feel in the curated modernist center, which today holds less than half its expected population of 500,000. Instead, far more residents live in and around satellite towns initially built for its construction workers.

Scant progress

Seven years after launch, little has been completed other than Neom’s film studios and a sprawling new royal complex that boasts giant palaces, a golf course and at least 10 helipads, satellite images show.
Beyond the Line, Neom has a bevy of superlative-packed projects, all of them complex.
Neom is so big it has its own large-scale construction projects simply to prepare for bigger projects. A port is needed to receive materials, and Neom is spending more than $5 billion to build housing for construction workers, according to the Middle East business-trade publication MEED, which tracks Neom contracts.
Engineers and administrative workers live in a handful of Neom-built communities with schools, basketball courts, a Burger King, a Starbucks and a Hampton Inn where rooms run above $400. The first such camp already needs to be partially demolished: After a design change, the Line is now due to run right through the community, where housing is already at capacity, former employees said.
Despite being billed as zero emissions, Neom recently sought contractors to build two gas power plants totaling 800 megawatts to power the region until greener energy is sourced.
To demonstrate progress to the crown prince, engineers started putting in the foundations for the Line a couple of years ago even before architects had figured out what would go above—an unusual way to build such a massive development, engineering experts said.
Architects soon decided the first phase should be built somewhere else, leaving the Line’s initial foundations abandoned for now, said people familiar with the matter.
For over a year, the bulk of the work has been a digging operation—the world’s largest, Neom says. Four-lane makeshift construction roads are clogged with lines of dump trucks; diesel fumes from trucks and generators permeate the air.
Significant digging work has gone into swaths that even before the recent pullback weren’t scheduled to be completed for decades. Satellite images show a 60 mile gash through the desert.
The current focus is a seaside middle section, where Prince Mohammed wanted the building constructed atop a new marina that could hold the world’s biggest cruise ships. Workers are digging a hole 50 feet below sea level, over 450 acres in size. It was there that workers had excavated a small mountain of dirt, only to find it was in the wrong place.
Once foundations are laid, a key test will be if and when Neom awards the costly contracts to start vertical construction—a crucial milestone that makes it difficult to turn back.
Another question is height. Numerous executives working on Neom have questioned the need for a 1,600-foot-tall building—which carries extra engineering challenges, higher costs and makes evacuation difficult in an emergency.
Renowned British architect Peter Cook, who is involved in the Line, called the project’s height “a bit stupid and unreasonable,” according to comments published in the U.K.-based Architect’s Journal. In a later documentary, Cook, who is overall praiseful of the project, called the Line “puzzling even to those who are involved in designing it.”

We now enter 2006, and there is a fair shakeup within The Fallen Angels. Kazarian has assumed control of the team, feeling that Daniels and his constant losing were causing the team to fail drastically. Daniels confronts him about this, but it turns into the same predicament as last time, although this time it would be much more brutal than the last attack, with Daniels getting his ankle stomped out as he is forced to be helped backstage with a limp.
It's revealed that Daniels has a shattered ankle and will be out of action for an undisclosed amount of time, but right now that isn't relevant as Kazarian looks to add to his rookie year by taking the WWE Championship in the Elimination Chamber. He would impress in the match, showing to be much more invested in winning the world title than the other competitors in the match. Kazarian would manage to pick up an elimination in this match, getting rid of Kane as he looks a legitimate threat to take Cena's title. He would make it to the last two, facing the WWE Champion as he has the biggest opportunity of his life to become a double champion. He would fall at the final hurdle though, as Cena would dispatch of him with an FU and retain his belt (for like another 3 minutes until Edge cashes in).
As for Daniels, it's complete radio silence. Kazarian throws some shots at him, even calling him out on occasion but he is never there. Kazarian is still insistent on winning the WWE title at some point, and announces himself for the Royal Rumble match, feeling confident in his chances of winning the match. As for Low Ki and Skipper, they are having a resurgence with new management, regaining their tag titles off Big Show and Kane in the opener of the Royal Rumble as the Fallen Angels now have all the belts around their waist. As for the Rumble match itself, Kazarian shines, entering at 9th and lasting over 45 minutes in the match. He would meet his demise in the match though as a debutant would throw him over the top rope, with this being none other than a masked superstar named Suicide. He would enter the match, rush Kazarian and throw him out of the ring before jumping over the top rope and eliminating himself.
Kazarian would go on a search for this new guy, eventually finding him and challenging him to a match. Suicide says nothing, and just points at the IC belt, signaling he wants the title on the line. Kazarian knows this whole debacle is stupid and agrees to it if it means he gets to beat the shit out of Suicide. They meet in the ring as Kazarian thinks it'll be an easy ride, but it proves to be quite the opposite as SUICIDE WINS THE INTERCONTINENTAL CHAMPIONSHIP!! WHAT HAS HAPPENED HERE?!! Kazarian tries getting a rematch, but Suicide isn't open to it. Instead, he hosts open challenges every week, allowing anyone and everyone to challenge for the belt, except Kazarian. Skipper even gets a shot of the belt, but falls victim to the Suicide Solution.
Kazarian in his delusion starts conspiring, inspecting everyone in the RAW locker room to see whether they fit the build of Suicide. He then realises that he should look for who isn't in the locker room and comes to the conclusion. Suicide is Christopher Daniels. The Fallen Angels jump the barricade during one of Suicide's open challenges, attacking him and trying to rip off the mask, with Kazarian insistent that Suicide is Daniels. They struggle to remove the mask so beat him up further until DANIELS MAKES HIS RETURN IN CRUTCHES!! The Fallen Angels look shocked as now it's clear he can't be Suicide with the big cast on his foot.
This doesn't stop Kazarian wanting his belt back, eventually getting a rematch in mid-February, but once again falls short following a fan jumping the barricade and breaking up his pin after a Back to the Future. Suicide would use this distraction to hit him with the Suicide Solution and retain his belt. Kazarian would drag the fan into the ring and begin beating him up, with security trying to prevent this from happening. Suicide stops him, driving him out of the ring and helping the fan up. Things become more clearer now as the fan is revealed as DONOVAN MORGAN!! THAT'S NO FAN...THAT'S DANIELS OLD TAG PARTNER!! To the casual eye they'd probably say who the fuck is this, but for people who follow more than WWE, they'd see that Morgan used to be Daniels partner in ROH under the Prophecy. Suicide then takes off his mask and REVEALS HIMSELF TO BE DANIELS!! KAZARIAN WAS RIGHT ALL ALONG!!
Daniels would reveal that Morgan was the one under the mask when he arrived with crutches on, already knowing about his plan to attack him. Every other week however, it was Daniels under the mask. As well as this, Daniels' ankle was never broken, it was just minorly bruised from the Fallen Angels' attacks, but he needed the time away to reflect. Last year he was a bad man, he exploited people, used every trick in the book to play them, and was not the man he wished he could be. Now its 2006 and he wants to turn a new page in his story, and he's planning to do that as the IC Champion. The Fallen Angels come out as Kazarian confronts them once again for the role they had in keeping the title from him. Daniels and Morgan just admit that they're smarter than Kazarian and if he had've thought of it, he would still be champion right now.
Daniels would revert back to his normal self, continuing to defend the IC title as the road to Wrestlemania 22 is fastly approaching. Daniels keeps the run up of defending the belt, retaining against the likes of Carlito and Chris Masters. Kazarian is constantly waiting in the wings though, as all signs point to a Wrestlemania showdown between the two. Daniels eventually gives in and accepts the match after Morgan is forced to retire following an abhorrent attack on him from the Fallen Angels.
Wrestlemania 22:

• Christopher Daniels (c) vs Frankie Kazarian IV for the Intercontinental Championship

If this story is to be finally put to rest, it needs to come at the biggest show of the year. Both Daniels and Kazarian have an undying urge to end the other, with Daniels clearly having additional fuel to the fire after the assault on Morgan. Kazarian shines in this encounter, showing why he belongs at the top of the card and why he deserves to be champion. Daniels has all the cobwebs shaken off him now, not experiencing any cowardness or stage-fright, being fully calm and collected here tonight. This would aid him in this 14 minute encounter as he would manage to retain his title in the encounter, however, not in the way you'd expect. He would gain a bit of help as LOW KI WOULD COST KAZARIAN THE MATCH!! HE'S GONE ROGUE AGAINST HIS OWN LEADER!! This allows Daniels to capitalize, hitting the Angel's Wings to get the 3 count and retain his title.

Following 'Mania, Daniels would find himself aligning with John Cena as he takes on Triple H and Edge, two men who have been gunning for Cena's title since the start of the year. They would end up on the losing side, with Edge pinning Cena in a big moment for the former champion. He would quickly have his attention shifted as the Samoan Bulldozer, Umaga would arrive, with his presence sending waves through the locker room. He puts his sights on the IC title, meaning Daniels is in the firing line. After some back and forth between the two, with Estrada speaking Umaga's mind, the match is set for Backlash.
Backlash 2006:

Looking to make a sudden impact like Daniels did a year prior, Umaga proves to be an unstoppable force in this match, wrecking through Daniels and making him look like a toy. Daniels fights back though, showing why he is the Intercontinental Champion as he won't go down without a fight, which is something Umaga gets as Daniels throws everything at him, having to adjust his moveset due to being unable to pick him up for the likes of the Angel's Wings. This would inevitably cost him, as Daniels would attempt to pick him up for it at the end of the match, but Umaga stops him and HITS THE SAMOAN SPIKE!! 1..2..3!! UMAGA IS THE NEW INTERCONTINENTAL CHAMPION!! DANIELS STOOD NO CHANCE!!
Result: Umaga (w/Armando Alejandro Estrada) def. Christopher Daniels (c) by pinfall to win the Intercontinental Championship (8:16)
Daniels decides to move on from the IC title picture, throwing his name in the hat and trying his luck at the main event spot once again. He would get the opportunity to rectify his mistakes against Michaels and Angle, whilst also picking up some high profile wins against the likes of Big Show and Viscera before getting a massive shot, facing John Cena once again in a non-title match. This time he doesn't let the opportunity slip, and manages to beat the champ, thus making him the No.1 contender to the belt. They are friendly in their feud, knowing how big this match is but RVD is lurking with his briefcase, telling them that he's taking Cena on for the belt first. Cena and RVD have their match at One Night Stand, with everything staying the same except Daniels confronts RVD after the match.
The animosity between the two is clear, disliking each other even after Daniels turn to the good side. With Cena occupied with Edge, it gives the two men a clear view of what the future holds. A rematch between the two after many months. They agree upon a place, having their match in Charlotte at Vengeance. They would go back and forth, with the fans split on who they want to win as they main event the show, taking up 22 minutes to put on another classic as RVD walks home with the belt. That doesn't mean things are over between the two, although Cena and Edge are now being chucked into the mix once again. All of this culminates in a Fatal-4 Way being created, with this set for the main event of RAW.
RAW, July 3rd 2006:

• Christopher Daniels vs John Cena vs Rob Van Dam (c) vs Edge for the WWE Championship

A star studded lineup, and one which Daniels can win by pinning anyone in the match. This would prove to be a non-stop contest, with no-one in the match willing to lose this opportunity at having the biggest prize in wrestling over their shoulder. There's something about Daniels in this match though, wrestling like his life depends on it as he's the only one in the match to not hold the world title. They take up 28 minutes of the show, just proving how resilient each man is as they all endure multiple finishers and high risk spots, with weapons used and blood spilled , with this standing out as a MOTY contender. It would all come to an end though, with a new champion being crowned as DANIELS HITS EDGE WITH THE ANGEL'S WINGS AND PINS HIM FOR THE THREE COUNT!! CHRISTOPHER DANIELS IS THE NEW WWE CHAMPION!!

A nice moment to end this short third part to the booking, as Daniels finally overcomes his demons, becoming a better man, and once that sits nicely on the top of the wrestling mountain.

I paced my bedroom floor wondering what I should do next. I’d already placed the leg back in the gun safe, then searched the entirety of my house looking for something Christian to place on top of it. It seemed to work in the movies and I didn’t really have any idea what else to do. I couldn’t find any religious paraphernalia of any kind, so I ended up fashioning a small crucifix out of two large carrots and hot glue with a little Jesus made out of raisins.
I needed a plan! I was thinking about who might know more information about the artifact I’d come into possession of, then it hit me – all of my competitors!
Surely not all of them were fakes like me!
One by one, I called them up and set up meetings for that afternoon – staggered appointments of course.
The first one to show up was a woman named Destiny. I sent her home immediately after she tracked dog shit into my house from the bottom of her shoes. I will not work with someone who is not only rude but completely oblivious.
The second one was a guy named Tiger, which I thought was a badass name and he was a pretty cool guy. Too bad he failed every test I threw at him. I sent him home, but kept his number in case I wanted to try to connect with him sometime to hangout.
The third psychic was a total nutcase named Psycho Jimmy. I’m honestly not even sure if he was a medium or if google search just lumped the words ‘Psychic’ and ‘Psycho’ into the same page due to a lack of results.
He didn’t say a word to me the entire time. He came into my house, drank a glass of water, walked a lap around the living room, stared directly into my eyes, unblinking, for a solid thirty seconds, then simply left. Total fucking psycho indeed. And yes, I did upgrade my security system shortly after meeting him.
Out of options I reluctantly called Destiny back, even if she did smell like dog poop.
To my surprise, she didn’t smell like shit when she showed back up to my house. She explained to me that it wasn’t her that smelled but it was, in fact, the ghost of her dead dog, Hercules, that followed her around. She further explained that last winter, her dog passed away peacefully in his sleep. She was distraught, but thought it would be in bad taste to leave a dead dog lying on her living room floor, so she loaded the carcass up into a cardboard box along with his favorite blanket and a few toys. Then she sealed the top of the box with packing tape so animals couldn’t get in, and left the box out on her front porch where the cold December weather would keep him fresh for a day until she could gather herself long enough to make arrangements.
Porch pirates showed up not an hour later and stole the box off of her porch thinking they just scored a nice heavy Amazon delivery. I can’t imagine how they must have felt to open it up and find a dead dog.
Now Hercules walks the Earth as a ghost, unable to rest until he has his revenge against those that stole his bones away from his loving mother.
“Uh, okay, that’s…” I had no idea what to say in response to hearing such an insane story, “Well, can you have Hercules stay outside please?”
“Yeah, no problem,” She replied before bending at the waist to pet an invisible dog and whisper loving comments into its ears before following me into my kitchen.
“So how do I know you’re legit?” Was the first question I asked her when we were both seated at the table.
“Because I can see the ghost that is standing in your bedroom door,” She replied calmly.
I spun around in my chair towards my bedroom door just in time to watch it violently slam itself shut.
“You’re hired!”
I re-capped the entire situation to Destiny, who asked to see the leg.
She recoiled as soon as I placed it on the table in front of her, “You didn’t tell me it’s upholstered in human flesh” she said, “Pretty big detail to leave out”
“It is?” I asked.
She pointed to a pinkish brown blemish on the leather that covered the back thigh of the leg, “There is literally a nipple on it”
Closer inspection showed that she was right. The leg did indeed have a nipple on it.
“And here is a tattoo,” she said pointing at a heart shaped blemish. If you looked closely, you could just barely make out the words, “Mommy’s Home”. “Look I don’t know what this leg is, but I know a professor at my old college who might know,” Destiny said, she couldn’t take her eyes off of the nipple. “He specializes in ancient pagan literature and has several books bound with human skin in his collection. If anyone knows anything about this, it has to be him.”
With no other avenues to go down, I agreed a talk with this professor would be a good place to start.
Destiny left my house promising to call me tomorrow to let me know if her old professor had replied to her request to meet. Once again, I was alone with the leg.
Looking at the leg filled me with a strange sort of terror that I hadn’t felt since I was kid. The kind of helplessness you would feel as a child when you lost your mom in the mall, or when you were so sure that the shadow in the corner of your bedroom was a monster lying in wait until the moment you cross from wakefulness into sleep.
I brought the leg back to the gun safe and locked it away before leaving my house for the day. I didn’t have much in the way of errands, but I didn’t even want to be in the same building as the leg.
I wasted the day trying to get my mind off the absolute shit storm of a week I’d had so far. Ghosts, monsters, demons and God knows what else is real. How is someone supposed to just accept that and move forward with their lives? What else might be out there? Is God real? If so, that might be the scariest thing of all.
I went to the movies, but couldn’t pay attention. I went to my favorite restaurant, but didn’t have an appetite. I tried to go go-karting, but couldn’t get over how strange it was to go go-karting by myself. I spent the entire day thinking about how my inbox was full of things I’d thought were fake but now would never fully get over.
Eventually the sun fell and I found myself standing on my front porch trying to come up with any excuse to go and spend money on a hotel room. I almost did, but realized I was too broke to get one even if I wanted to.
A creeping dread wormed its way up my back as I walked through the dark house flipping lights on as went. I checked each room to make sure nothing had moved the positions I had left them in that morning. Looking back, I’m not sure if at that point I was more afraid of a ghost or demon or Psycho Jimmy in my house. Everything seemed to check out.
Feeling slightly better, but still a bit anxious I went to bed.
I woke up in total darkness, in the early morning. I could hear the wind in the trees. I turned over to squint at my alarm clock when the sound of my bedroom door unlatching made my stomach drop. In a flash I shot up in bed and tried to flip on the lamp on my nightstand only to find the light bulb had been removed.
I grabbed my phone, turned on the flashlight and directed the light at the door. The door was, indeed, unlatched and cracked open just a sliver. I sat in total silence, watching the small black crack between the door and the door frame, my ears strained to pick up any noise other than the wind outside.
My jaw dropped as the door slowly creaked forward, opening itself just wide enough for a head to peek into the room, but no one was there, just the empty blackness of the dark hallway beyond. My hands shook as I stared at the doorway, hoping something would come through, anything – a monster, a zombie, Psycho Jimmy. Anything would be better than the dread of sitting there in anticipation, my imagination conjuring up the worst. My heart was pounding against my ribcage and my mouth went dry. I gripped my phone with two hands to try to steady the shaking, but still they trembled, sending shadows dancing across my bedroom walls.
Then the door closed, just as slowly as it had opened, the door pulled itself back into its frame and latched itself closed.
Realizing I had forgotten to breathe, I sucked in air like a dying fish. I licked my lips and loosened my grip on my phone but my hands were still trembling and I dropped it. The phone bounced off the corner of my nightstand, hit the carpeted floor and bounced again under my bed.
A whole new set of shadows filled the room as the bright, fluorescent white light of the iPhone flashlight emanated from under my dirty bed.
It might sound weird, but this was almost as bad as the door opening by itself. The loss of control was devastating in the moment and I lunged over the side of the bed and blindly flailed my arm around searching for the phone.
My thrashing arm sent a wholly new set of shadows dancing around my room pushing my pulse even higher.
I’d never regretted not cleaning my room harder. I was wildly grabbing things and flinging them out from under the bed as soon as I confirmed they weren’t a cell phone. Magazines, old electronics and a few rock-hard socks flew across the room as I shoveled them out from under the bed. I continued to grasp blindly when my hand came across something I didn’t immediately recognize. It was a mess of tangled stringy material that seemed to grab at my hand as I brushed past it. I gripped and tugged hard to bring it out onto my bedroom floor, but encountered resistance as whatever it was seemed to cling to its secret refuge under my bed. I reestablished my grip on the object and pulled again, harder this time. I engaged the muscles in my stomach and back and just as it seemed the object would never relent a loud POP! echoed through the room as the object came free in my hand.
Startled and thrown off balance, I fell off my bed and sprawled onto the carpet below with the object still in my hand. I looked down at it and my blood turned to ice as I realized I was holding a woman’s head, her face frozen in surprise, her mouth a wide ‘O”.
I dropped the head and scrambled backwards on my butt until my back hit the opposite wall. It was only then I realized it was the head of a sex doll I had ordered 4 years ago, but never used. (It was too weird. Maybe guys who like sex dolls, would also like fucking dead bodies. Not for me!). Her name was Cynthia. I had hidden her under my bed in shame shortly after bringing her home and had forgotten about her. It’s not like a life-size doll is something you can easily throw away without the neighbors asking questions.
I relaxed at that moment. A wave of relief and amusement washed over me and I made a vow to get rid of Cynthia that weekend. Even if that meant I had to cut her into pieces and dispose of her in separate trash bags thrown into separate dumpsters like some sort of mannequin serial killer.
I started to get back up on my feet when the shadows danced around the room again. I glanced toward the space under the bed and saw the light was moving. Something under my bed had control of my phone.
Blinded by the light which was now pointed directly at me, I squinted my eyes to try to make out what fresh new terror was about to befall me. Slowly a form came into shape. A contorted silhouette that writhed in the confined space. It banged against the bed frame above it as it tried to right itself. The light moved, left, right, up, down as the dark shape twisted violently, but it always pointed the light directly into my eyes without fail.
For a moment, the noises below the bed stopped and the light remained still. The only noises audible were my own breathing and the wind that continued to whip the trees outside. I used my hand to shield my eyes from the now stable point of light and the shape solidified into a new form. It was a person crouched low. A Headless person. It was Cynthia.
She began to slowly crawl towards me. My heart skipped a beat as fear paralyzed me for a half second. Cynthia moved closer, moving in a jerky, unnatural motion because I hadn’t opted for the RealGirl™ realistic joint package.
My heart skipped another beat as curiosity paralyzed me for another half a second. Would it really be so bad to let her get to me? What would she do? Fuck me to death? Then I remembered she had fully articulated hands and a skeleton made out of titanium which snapped me out of it pretty quickly.
Cynthia dragged herself along, now halfway out from under the bed, my cellphone in hand.
I leapt into action. I sprang to my feet, took a few steps towards her and kicked at her. Unfortunately, it was dark and I aimed where a head would have been had this been a real person, or a fully-functional sex doll, and broke a toe on my metal bed frame.
Cynthia grabbed for me, but I quickly took a step back and she narrowly missed, her silicone fingers just brushing the skin of my leg. I tried another kick and this time aimed for my cellphone. I connected and sent the phone sliding across the bedroom carpet where it collided with the wall with such force that it flipped itself over landing the flashlight side-down.
The room plunged into darkness with the exception of the small light of my iPhone lock screen. I needed to get to the phone before the lock screen went dark in about 10 seconds, otherwise I would probably never find it.
I made a dash for the phone, but Cynthia caught my ankle sending me crashing to the floor. I couldn’t look back. I needed that phone, that light. Even if it was only so I could see how I was going to die I needed it. Worst case scenario, if I decided I didn’t like what I was seeing, I could always just turn the light off.
Not even wasting the time to stand back up, I crawled for my phone. I could hear the joints in Cynthia’s arms and legs squeak as she emerged from the bed behind me and stood herself up. (When I ordered her, they said the squeaking would fade with use, but like I said, I never used her, I want to make that very clear!) Still, I didn’t look back, I crawled forward, not paying attention to the rug burn on my knees or the pain that radiated up my leg from my broken toe or the 6 foot (tall girls, call me!) murderous sex bot that was standing itself up a mere few feet behind me. I need that phone.
I slammed my hand on the phone just as the light from the home screen faded away and I turned and pointed the flashlight at Cynthia.
She stood tall on her two feet, wearing a tattered and dusty school girl outfit (I’m different now), one large pendulous breast hung outside of her brassiere.
I was done for. Toast. Stick a fork in me. I was lying on my back, looking up at a killer dominatrix with a titanium skeleton, no head and zero pain receptors. All she had to do was fall forward and she’d be on top of me, strangling me with her delicate, perfectly formed and articulated fingers. Maybe, if I was lucky, her other breast would fall out of her shirt in the fall – you know, at least give me something to look at as life drained from me. Fortunately for me, that isn’t what she did.
The killer doll took one-step towards me and faltered.
The thing about sex dolls is that they are mainly designed to sit in chairs, pose on all fours and do a lot of lying on their backs. No one buys a sex doll to have it stand around. That’s like buying a dildo to use as a Christmas tree ornament. Sure, maybe with a little practice and a couple hidden supports you could have it stand around your house like some sort of fucked up anime wax museum, but that’s just not what it is designed to do. Especially if you didn’t spring for the RealGirl™ realistic joint package. I honestly doubt a real human woman would be able to stand unassisted if you gave them the strange cartoony proportions most of these dolls have.
So, Cynthia took a step towards me, wobbled, top heavy. Tried to over-correct, then fell backwards onto my night stand and started squirming to get back on her feet.
I took the opportunity to run.
I got back to my feet and found the bedroom door. My hand hesitated on the knob for a millisecond as I considered what else there might be hiding behind this door, then I opened it anyway. I rushed out of my bedroom and sprinted down the hallway, hearing moans and clicking and growling from behind the doors of the bathroom and second bedroom as I rushed past. I came to the end of the hallway to the main living area and kitchen and turned to head towards the door when I took one last look down the dark hallway towards my bedroom.
Just barely visible through the darkness was Cynthia, crawling on all fours out of the bedroom. Her head was now re-attached but backwards so she faced the ceiling as she crawled forward, her nails making a click-clack sound as she crossed from the carpeted bedroom to the hardwood floor of the hallway.
I shuddered and made for the door.
My plan was to get in the car and drive away, but I left my car keys inside. Instead, I walked to Walmart, the one place on earth where you can walk around in boxers and a white t-shirt and no one bats an eye.
For the second time in 12 hours, I was trying to distract myself to take my mind off of the horrors the lifting of the veil had shown me and this time I was stuck in a Walmart - the epicenter of human horror.
It actually wasn’t too bad; I only had a few hours to kill before the sun came up. At that point, I’d head back to my place, get some clothes and catch up with Destiny to see if she had scheduled a meeting with her old professor yet. I supposed I’d be expecting a call from Pedro at some point as well, I did promise him an internship. I just hoped I could run faster than him.

I bumped into Sarah Lancashire recently. I said, "Matron Cofelia!" Without a pause, she replied, "Of the Five-Straiten Classabindi Nursery Fleet, intergalactic class." She still remembers!
I love those mad Doctor Who words, all those names and proper nouns that we'll remember forever. And now here comes a brand-new batch. Will we ever see Mondo Caroon? Where exactly is Bertie Lester? And how many people does it take to fly an Asteroid Hopper? All those words and more are hurtling towards you, starting May 11!
Here in the Doctor Who factory at Bad Wolf, we're clanking away, still shooting the climax of Season 2 - which includes the words "tinderbox", "Croydon" and "threshold", and oh, I wish you could see that guest star - but a lot of our focus has gone on to the most important thing of all, the launch of Season 1. By the time you read this, we'll be on the verge of our premiere in London, and then we're zooming off to launch the show in New York and LA too. Showbiz!
But be warned, screenings mean that spoilers will start to flow. And I know that's a tricky issue for some viewers, with episodes dropping at midnight on the BBC iPlayer, before they're shown that evening on BBC One. Doctor Who has had all sorts of transmission patterns over the years, with lots of bumps and changes. I can remember 1996, standing in the queue outside HMV at midnight to buy a VHS copy of Paul McGann's Doctor Who movie, five days before it was shown on TV. Five days! Even before the shop doors had opened, a man behind me spoiled the entire plot, yelling out, "And then the Master falls into the Eye of Harmony!" But still, I went home and watched it until 2am and loved it. Also, famously, in 1983, the BBC released the paperback novelisation of The Five Doctors weeks before it went on air. I bought it and denied it; I let it burn, glow and tempt me from the corner of my bedroom in Juxon Street, Oxford. All I did was flick through the first few pages, which had a marvellous chapter concerning Susan, the Doctor's granddaughter, walking through the ruins of a post-Dalek-invasion London... only to discover it was invented for the book and didn't happen at all on screen! And then, to top it all, The Five Doctors was shown in the USA a good two days before it reached BBC One on a Friday - not a Saturday! - night.
And now we have 2024. With plenty of warning of the new pattern, for you to plan ahead and choose your own viewing. And that's the point: choice. You're not having to change your habits to fit the show, the show is changing to fit you. And it's changing to adopt the patterns of all modern TV shows. Yes, I think all of them, very soon. This is the future, and it's here, right now.
If you want to stay spoiler-free before the Saturday night transmission, I honestly believe it can be done. I stayed spoiler-free when Game of Thrones would drop in the UK in the early hours of the morning. I'd happily watch it at 9pm that night, in blissful ignorance. And okay, maybe I'm not as online as you are, but that's the key. Manage your online activity for, what, 18 hours? And it's a Saturday too, have a day off!
Easily said, I know, I know, but consider Casualty. I watch that every week. I have done for decades. They now drop their episodes on the iPlayer on a Saturday morning, before that night's TX. And they recently had an episode which resulted in - spoilers, look away - the shock stabbing of Charlie, a good old-fashioned cliffhanger. And it was a surprise to me. I'd remained spoiler-free, happily startled on that Saturday night. And okay, I get you, Casualty might not buzz as much as Doctor Who online. The Holbyverse hasn't quite taken off in the same way. But to counter that, bear in mind: I do follow Casualty, it's made in the city where I work, I know some members of the cast, I know some writers very well, and a good friend of mine is a script editor on the show (hello Tommy, I bet he reads DWM). And despite that proximity, I still stayed spoiler-free. It can be done! It's actually fun.
And bear in mind, a midnight viewing could be lovely. Stay up! Have a party! And that includes kids, too - plenty of children went to midnight openings of bookstores when the new Harry Potter books were released. It was part of the game, part of the narrative, a story they'd tell for years to come. I'd especially recommend midnight for Episode 7, because it's shocking, frankly, and there might be screaming! And the planning of a viewing can be an absolute joy. I remember my Paul McGann midnight vigil as really fun and daft and dedicated, all part of the warp and weft of my life as a Doctor Who fan. These anecdotes make us who we are.
And even on the actual Saturday night, you own it now. Because, yes, you can sit there at the allotted time and watch your favourite show, as normal. But now, look, if the pizza is delivered late, you can wait. If mum's stuck at work and misses the bus, you can pause and start half an hour later. Or if you've got a party later that night, or a big trip planned for Sunday morning, you can start an hour earlier. If all your mates happen to be in town on a Saturday afternoon, you can have your viewing party then. And don't a lot of you like Doctor Who in the dark? So wait till 9 or 10pm, feel that unique Doctor Who terror that comes with drawn curtains and the lights low. The programme is yours, now. Yours absolutely. Yours to start and stop and pause and play whenever you want.
Thing is, we all want to make our own appointments. We wish that we could say to the doctor, or to Amazon, or the gas man: Saturday at 9am, please. We want to be in charge of our own lives. Now, with Doctor Who, we are.
Someone told me recently that Generation Alpha considers radio to be a really odd thing. How weird, they said, that you have records, chosen by someone else, played in a fixed order, and topics of conversation decided in advance, by unknown people, offstage. If you're young, I was told, that seems bizarre, because it makes you powerless. And I can see what they mean. At my age, I cling to a Radio 2 schedule, but I get it; I might disagree but I can also see how that opinion of radio is true. Which means, again, that choice is the way things are heading, and the tide cannot be stopped.
For now. Maybe one day things will change. They might revert back. They'll more likely find something even more new. Maybe in 10 years we'll have all programmes blipped directly into our brain by a psycho-link!
But seriously, I'm not making light of this. I can hear the worries. It's easy to say 'stay offline' when your health or job or nature might make that impossible. And I'm sorry, because then, yes, spoilers, will fly. Unfortunately, there's always been a subset of viewers hitting the spoiler problem, like the tons of people who work Saturdays and on night-shifts. They've had to negotiate this for years. So there has never been a transmission pattern in the digital age that's perfect for everyone.
And to be honest. If you're that online, and cannot change... folks, you stand a high chance of getting spoiled anyway. Before transmission. That's the modern world. Beyond my control. From April onwards, there will be screenings and previews and screeners and friends-of-friends who've seen episodes in advance. And Doctor Who is so popular, it's a victim of its own success. It has devoted fans who will talk, and share, and some who will move heaven and earth to discover information, and post it, far more than, say, good old Holby.
Some people have said to my face that they think our leaks are deliberate. That it's a deliberate attempt to drum up publicity. Let me tell you now and forever: nonsense. To try that with the press and online would be to dance with the devil. And also, inappropriate, because the BBC is a public service broadcaster. I promise. No leaks are ever deliberate.
But still they come! And we try to stop them. We have great people working very hard at the problem. One script was found recently in Brazil! Back in my old 2005-2010 days, a script with the actor's name watermarked on every page was found on a park bench. A copy of The Next Doctor was once on sale in a sci-fi shop in Florida! And I might laugh about this - you see, transmission becomes anecdote, in the end - but I know these spoilers are damaging. I'm told that the entire plot of The Giggle and The Church on Ruby Road were available online, in detail, months before transmission.
But there you go. If you're that online... you always will be. And, in fact, that's part of your joy too. You like it. You love it! So for the run of this season, the hours after midnight will be your ultimate playground. Okay. I can only hope that your happiness doesn't dent someone else's.
Right, let's sweep that off the desk - the most important thing is, NEW DOCTOR WHO! And not just Specials, this time, but an actual season, a great big proper season, for the first time since 2021. And new viewers! Hopefully, for some people, this will be their very first copy of DWM, and I apologise if I've wittered on about 1983 and VHS and Brazil. Ignore me! Because the crucial point is: this season is new, the Doctor and Ruby are new, and the monsters and stories and villains are new, new, new.
You can start here, first-time viewer. Don't worry about all those years of backstory. Truth is, there isn't one. He's a man in a time machine and she's his best mate, that's all there is to it. If you have questions, don't worry, Ruby asks them! And the show works like an anthology series - every week, a new time and place. Deep in history, or the future on far-flung alien worlds, or thrillers in the modern day, we've got them all. Lots of free-standing episodes, although, pay attention, because there are little hints and hooks here and there which might build up to something in the season finale.
And you, old faithfuls. Create new viewers! Have that screening party and invite someone new. If someone says "I don't know where to start," tell them: right here, right now! If I've worried here about transmission, it's because I want you all to have the best possible front-row seat as we introduce, ladies and gentlemen and others...
Ncuti Gatwa and Millie Gibson. The Doctor and Ruby Sunday. I adore this team more than I can say, and I'm so excited to unleash them upon the world. At this stage, I must've seen each episodes about 25 or 30 times, and yet I still see new things in their performances. Oh, they dazzle! What an honour to watch two brilliant actors seize these scripts and make them spin and sizzle and soar. I swear, those two will make you hoot and gasp and yell and weep, and then hoot all over again.
I have loved Doctor Who all my life. And now a brand-new form of Doctor Who is about to light up the sky. So whatever time you're watching, buckle in and settle down. Because here it comes. The ride of a lifetime. Hold on tight!
