Satriani amp settings

I’m very happy, more so with the amp but still, 20 years ago, hell even 10 years ago cheap guitars were not as good as this at all!
Coming from an RG421, i’m not the biggest fan of the GIO, was the cheapest in the store, hate trem’s so I had to deck this as far as it goes as the 56-12’s were pulling it up.
Gave it a fret polish and lemon oil on the fretboard and it’s improved it massively, I’ve tucked the pickup selector and tone knob in the cavity and moved the volume to the bottom, fat riffs only on this one.
What I am blown away by is this little positive grid spark mini, it sounds like a much bigger amp and the app is insane for the amount of choices and its tone library. I found some “black dahlia murder” setting and a “josh from sylosis” setting and it’s riff central.
I come from shared accommodation where I can’t crank my orange tiny terror through my 10” cab. This positive grid sounds amazing for someone like me, that I’m going to sell everything I own apart from a fuzz and octave pedal when I’m done traveling.
And it runs off a battery too?!?
Total cost - €460. I’m expecting to sell the €260 GIO for like €120 or so next year for a quick sale but the amp is coming home with me!

Hi Sony headphone community. Having never owned decent wireless cans, I recently bought these headphones because I wanted something premium with decent ANC and these seemed to be a good choice based on some minimal research. I'm OK with the sound quality but completely underwhelmed by the max volume. I have these paired to a Samsung S23 Ultra and tested so far with regular compressed audio from YouTube and Spotify. Played around with EQ off and on with the default presets in the official Sony headphones app but haven't tried any custom ones.
I didn't expect these things to get loud as wired headphones I used to drive with dedicated AMPs in the past but at max volume they are about 75% as loud as I was hoping for. I don't plan on blasting my eardrums out and developing tinnitus during every listening session but I was expecting to get a little more volume out of these things. Is this the standard volume I should expect with wireless headphones? I've disabled absolute volume in Android settings.
Anyone that also has Sennheiser Momentum 4s or Bose QuietComfort Ultras, do those things get louder? Any other suggestions? Think I'm gonna return these.

Hello everyone at UTD! I have graduated and have been a member of RadioUTD for a quarter of my time here (one year). I would like to describe what it was like working as a DJ in RadioUTD. I am not here to paint a pretty picture.
There are a few aspects that benefited me. It let me know what it was like to work and have responsibilities. It let me know how to talk about music and how to arrange playlists. It taught me how to be more punctual to be on time for my set. Since you cannot swear on broadcast, I being a dirty mouth learned how to express myself when I need to quit yapping foully. This was multiplied thirteenfold as I had around 13 sets in the course of my time there. I also learned to market myself on my own, though I don't think I was very successful. I really have no way to tell. I also learned how to mix music with a DJ controller. It was a very supportive group I found, and although I am still rather bad at music mixing, I have had some good moments. I also got to play in the DJ fest where all the other DJs could listen.
But there are a few things that prevented me from signing up at the get go. My family never really liked my taste in music, and always ridiculed me for it. In the campus tour RadioUTD was mentioned, but we walked into the student union, and top 40 music was playing, I did not realize it at the time but I assumed that that was RadioUTD's music stream. Seeing the DJ work with his back to the glasswall headbanging, that glass wall kind of made him look like he was doing some awesome mix but I just couldn't hear it, and that I wasn't allowed to go in that room.
The only thing that urged me to sign up was Marco Frescas, (he was featured in Mercury). I heard there was a DJ festival and listened through his set and thought maybe RadioUTD was cool and worth doing a shot.
The last thing I'd like to say is that RadioUTD is weak. What do I mean by that? Mercury and AMP make their opinions, print it, and distribute it on receptacles across campus. To access RadioUTD, you must search up the website, then go to the streaming site, then be at the right time for someone to speak. The website is mentioned nowhere. It would be preferable if there was a QR sticker on each of the AMP/Mercury receptacles for UTD TV and RadioUTD to get atleast some mention that it exists. This is not a radical idea and quite simple to implement.
But for RadioUTD to be truly as strong? Have speakers around campus that play the streams. Put up posters promoting RadioUTD (They don't do that). Make the DJ booth face the window and make the window weak so that the DJ can actually talk with passersby. There is no way to tell who is listening, and how many people are listening, which leads to us not putting as much effort in our playlists or talking breaks as we'd like. We have something called boothing, where we book out the plinth to play music for an hour or two 3 times a month. The chance of someone who wants to hear this passes by is so incredibly low. Since the plinth stage has to be checked out in advance, it is a gridlock of what is possible. It is a shame to see people outside of UTD on the plinth asking you to register to vote almost every day but almost never see my organization out there playing music for the people. I was told that there was boothing opportunities available for the finals scream, but it was cancelled. Our organization tends to defer out of anything that doesn't seem safe and as a result it makes us even more unknown. The DJ Fest aforementioned was not promoted and almost got canceled. As a result everyone except Marco who was closing the set, had basically no audience outside of RadioUTD.
I know this will never happen, and as a result, few people will actually apply to make a change, and as a result of that, RadioUTD will remain relatively obscure. I hope this post wakes up people within RadioUTD and drives them to make a change, and also inspire others to join RadioUTD. If anyone is from RadioUTD and I am making any errata, feel free to correct me in the comments below. I'd like a discussion.

Space in my condo is really limited and I’ve been thinking of buying a wireless set so I stop tripping over cables. There are probably a dozen brands on Amazon and I’m wondering which is the best. I play along with my iPad that uses Bluetooth to connect to a Bluetooth amp so it can’t interfere. Does anyone have any suggestions?

Dad wants a hybrid or EV sports car. Let’s make one at a 50K price tag that is sexy, simple, and reliable. It should have: A. convertible or coupe B. Audio options should be standard or pump the jams (partner with someone fun like Kicker and put a real sub-woofeamp with a box in that bad boy. ) It should come standard with that pho-leather car manufacturers love, and a nice set of tech. Colors like cocaine white and stuff
Dad also needs a sports package that lets him enter track mode. The car lowers, a useless spoiler pops out, and a launch button lights up on the steering wheel. Gimmicks sell cars, ask Tesla.
The son/daughter graduating needs a reliable car but mom/dad need to show off for their snowflake. Let’s make a reliable hybrid/ev compact with a price tags of 30-40K. 2 doohatch back/weird sci-fi doors, whatever. With options for: - Megan trainer all about that bass package (again partner with kicker or something and make the trunk wave to people) - Aggressive package: a little lower, has that cool launch button, paddle shifters, 0-60 record keeper, spoiler, better rims, etc. - standard package: good tech, good bones, solid car, let the aftermarket crowd step in. Make it cheap enough and reliable enough and it will be 97 again. Every teen will drive a GM instead of a Honda
The family needs an SUV that isn’t a suburban. Make it a hybrid/ev (flavor of the week), and make it fast. -quiet the kids package: somehow make it so mom/dad can completely drown out the kids in the back. How about a push button privacy shield. Press a button and the kids are quiet. Tv turns on in the back and we numb the children with a playlist of kid friendly shows from your subscriptions. Of course it has to be sexy, quick, a hybrid/ev, and come standard with that pho-leather.
No more cloth in vehicles, can we just not with that.

So, I recently purchased a new tube amp (a bugera 333xl, which is a clone of the Peavey jsx) and after setting everything up and plugging it up to my 2x12 cab ( celestion g12's) I cranked it up and it was disgustingly bright and trebley, feedback like crazy, and had horrific Purcusive string noise. I tried everything, did everything I could with the EQ, tried all 3 channels, used different guitars, and while the clean channel was slightly better, any gain made it sound like trash. So I'm trying to diagnose the issue- is this power tube failure? Or something else? I don't have a lot of experience with tube amplifiers so any help would be awesome!

I’m currently using the astro a40 tr headset with mixamp and my audio be sounding muffled sometimes :/ Which would be a good upgrade for gaming I seen ppl recommend the -hyperx cloud headsets -hd560 -iem’s and i was probably going to pair them with soundblasterx g6 dac… My budget is $300 for a high tier gaming headphone/set & dac/amp pls lead me into the right direction.

First time Dante User here. This is the setup.
TV -> Toslink to RCA DAC -> Analog Audio to Dante Encoder -> Stand Alone Unmanaged POE Gigabit Switch -> Dynacord MXE5 DSP -> Same Switch -> LEA Dante Amp -> Speaker
This is a test bench setup. When tested last week, everything worked great, and audio output was synced with TV speakers with no discernable difference. Five days later with nothing touched or changed, now there is a delay. Dante set to and running smoothly at 1ms. The DSP has no programmed delays on input or output, same with amp.
Any ideas on why, I couldn't resolve. I'm thinking it's has to be within the DSP, but it's not showing that. Probably just reset DSP and start over. Something obviously went wrong, but wanted to see what the community says.

I am new to the steroe/audiophile community and have been doing research for about 6 months now. I went to Axpona in April. While it was cool to see more systems/setups, most of the stuff there was way out of my price range. I am thinking ~$7,500 budget for a hifi setup. primiarly listening to streaming music (tidal, etc). I do currently have a home theater set up that is a 10yr old 5.1 SVS speaker setup with pioneer AVR in my living room. I will be keeping that for my home theater setup. The question here is for a new hifi/stero setup in a seperate listening room (15ft x 25ft, with 8ft ceilings).
So, I think I have narrowed it down to two options, with both being around ~$6.5k to $7k total.
(a) Buchardt Audio A10 active speakers, stands, WiiM Ultra streamer (the 'hub' that is purchased with the A10 can do streaming, but it has limitations), and Buchard Audio Sub10 subwoofer. Since buchardt is DTC, I haven't had listend to them in person, but they have a fair return policy and I can send them back if I don't like them. Generally, reviews on the A10 are really good. I am really liking the idea of a siimple set up that has more placment flexiblity in my house.
(b) Philharmonic BMR monitors, stands, Galion TS A75 power amp, Eversolo A8 preamp/streameDAC, JL Audio Dominion D110 Subwoofer. I did get a chance to hear the speakers at Axpona. They sounded really good, I believe they were paired with a rogue audio amp. Speakers look good, but the Buchardts look better IMO. Not sure if I will like the 'flexibility' of the passive speaker (vs the active) and seperates for amp and preamp.
(c) wild card here ... replace the BMR monitors in (b) with Borresen X1. I probalby can't justify spending another $4k on top of the budget I listed, but they sounded fantastic when I've heard them a few times in person.

Hey all, so I have a Schecter C-1 Evil Twin that came with fishman fluence modern active pickups. Ive had this guitar for almost 2 years now and have never been very impressed with the tones I am getting. I have ruled out factors such as the amp / cab I am using or my speakers or anything like that because I can swap to either my les paul or my ESP and they sound fantastic with the exact same settings but for some reason the Shecter comes across as dull and just lifeless. This made me come to the conclusion that it has to be the pickups. After doing research I know that the fishmans are generally well received and many others love their fishmans but unfortunately I am not in that bracket. So, I am wanting to change the pickups to something else but have never done this before and I am not the best at soldering and wiring. Is this something that an average joe could do or in your opinion should I just fork over the money and take it in somewhere to get it changed? Any input would be greatly appreciated!

Seeking advice. I'm debating between 2 companies for a new heat pump install, replacing an old gas furnace with no A/C. Company 1 has 2 options that we're considering, company 2 has 1 option we're consdiering. Both have more options but these fall into the price point and form factor we're looking for given the space.
Each option from 1 to 3 steps up about $2k in price. Otherwise all other items seem roughly equivalent. I'm in coastal Nor Cal where extreme ends of temp are 20F to 100F, but almost never below 25F and never above 90F. House is a 2 story, 1680sq ft home, with fairly recent double pane windows and standard dry walled walls.
Trying to figure out if hyper heat is worth it in option 3, if we go with 1 or 2, if the 19 SEER and the series of unit is worth the extra $2k. Also if there are any notable differences in performance. Any differences in quality/longevity / maintenance is also a consideration, especially because option 3 also has 2 more years of warranty due to company 2 being a diamond Mitsubishi partner.
The air handlers are also different model numbers, though not sure how much that plays into any decision.

I'm trying to set up music assistant to play to my TV. Specifically YouTube music.
My main speakers are connected to my TV via an smsl ad18, just a simple amp (Bluetooth and analog). It's a basic smart Samsung, not one of the fully featured high end ones.
Has anyone succeeded in this? Has the TV been a limit factor to how much automation you could do?
It seems all it can do is change source and raise volume on the tv.

A question about the Boss GT1 pre amp settings and the Bogner Uberschall
Is the GT1’s recreation of the Bogner Uberschall(BGNR UB) crackly for anyone else? Like I love the tone, but whenever I bend it makes these annoying crackle/pop sounds out of random.

I have a corsair 360mm aio with Phateck t30 fans running at 3000rpm cooling the chip.. I recently upgraded the 3 radiator fans to spin faster and the bios is controlling the speed at max rpm.. I didnt use the corsair program...
BACKGROUND: This info set the cpu to a constant 1.34-1.365, there is no spiking to 1.47 under loads.. it will not do it. it keeps the chip safe at a constant voltage/temperature....a constant 5.7/4.3 all the time...

I'm studying music production, so being able to smoothly run different DAWs, run multiple plugins and digital instruments or amp sims is a priority, also quiet fans and minimal heat

I installed my entire audio system, subs, speakers, head unit myself, (onto a 2014 Jeep patriot)
(KENWOOD KDC-X300x head unit, 4x JBL 6x9 all around, 1 kicker red series 12 inch subwoofer, 800W amp to subwoofer, no external amp)
But for some reason, I cannot get my head unit over 25 volume. (Unless I turn subwoofer settings down to zero, it resets itself to 15 volume)
Is my head unit protecting itself? Do I need an external amplifier (for speakers) ? I honestly just don't understand, I worked at a small body shop installing speakers/subs/ head units, and never ran into this?
Should I try a more powerful amp for the subwoofer? Or do I need to do an external amp for the speakers, as well as a more powerful sub amp? My brain is telling me it's the leakers that sends the signal to turn it down.
