2023.01.12 18:40 VirtualPoolBoy New to Medicare (disability under 65) Can anyone recommend a good Supplement plan to cover parts A and B?

Here’s what I have so far….
Medicare Part A (hospitalization): 80% covered
Medicare Part B(doctors services): 80% covered
Medicare Part D (prescriptions) Anthem Blue Cross MediBlue Rx Plus (PDP): 80% covered. 20% covered by state, minus co-pay.
Medical: None. Don’t qualify.
MediGap: None. Too young to qualify.
So with the prescription gap mostly covered by California (minus copay) I just need a supplement plan for the 20% of Parts A and B Medicare doesn’t cover.
Should I get a plan with only Parts A and B? Or worth getting one with Part D as well? in case I need drugs Anthem or state won’t cover?
What’s your preferred supplemental plan?

Been told by manufacturer Arbor that there is authorized generic for Zenzedi 10mg but when check FDA Authorized Generic list there is none for Zenzedi. Haven't been able to get 10 mg Zenzedi because pharmacies couldn't get it from their suppliers. Talked to Arbor and they arranged to have some sent to supplier for my pharmacy. But pharmacy wouldn't fill because their cost was $1,400 vs the $170 I usually pay with my Anthem MediBlue Preferred Medicare that wouldn't given the pharmacy the $170 price I usually pa yor accept the GoodRx coupon I've always used in the past .

2022.02.10 09:31 immafemale Do you receive a 1095-A statement with a Medicare Advantage Plan?, b/c my Return was rejected due to missing 1095-A. I have Anthem MediBlue Dual Advantage (HMO D-SNP) (medicare & medicaid).

My insurance is a Medicare Advantage Plan. Anthem MediBlue Dual Advantage (HMO D-SNP) . My state medicaid "Kentucky" pays my premiums and I have $0.00 deductibles.
I filed with my local CPA. She said the IRS rejected it because I should of received a 1095-A statement from Healthcare Insurance Marketplace. I didnt. and I used an Advantage Plan Agent to go from Original Medicare to Anthem MediBlue Dual Advantage (HMO D-SNP) .
I have visited healthcare.gov which then sends me to my state ky.gov website https://form1095.ky.gov/Form1095BLogin/GetRequestForm
And their system said " We cannot locate a Form 1095-A for this individual. Some individuals who enrolled in coverage through Kentucky Health Benefit Exchange will not receive a Form 1095-A (e.g. individuals who never paid their first month’s premium, individuals enrolled in dental only plans, individuals enrolled in catastrophic plans, etc.). If you believe this individual should have received a Form 1095-A please call 1-855-459-6328. "
What am I suppose to do? The IRS is wrong. I dont need to fill out a 1095-A form.,

2021.11.28 02:53 Baka_Max Looking for a nursing home rehab center for my aunt

My aunt needs to go to a rehab/nursing home for a few weeks to recover from surgery (she needs PT), I was wondering if anyone knew good nursing homes in the city (or Yonkers). I haven’t been able to find any without mostly terrible reviews and seemingly fake 5 star reviews. She has blue cross blue shield mediblue as her health care plan. So far I have looked into Methodist Home Nursing and Rehab, Adira at Riverside, and The Wayne Center. She had already been at the Riverside Premier, but had to go back to the hospital because the care was so bad. If anyone has any info on the ones I mentioned or other facilities please let me know because I’m very desperate. Thanks in advance!

2020.10.09 03:00 Mindless_Medicine_87 Dad recently diagnosed with ESRD and will need dialysis. He has both medicare part A & B as well as an anthem hmo plan. Can someone explain what coinsurance is?

I’ve read all the benefit information and the plan he is under (Anthem Mediblue Select HMO) says dialysis will be covered with 20% coinsurance. Does that mean that we will have to pay that 20% cost ourselves? Or does Medicare itself cover that cost? What happens if we cannot afford it? Im just very confused and stressed and would like some guidance. If anyone here is familiar with having a family member in dialysis and would be willing to share what they pay I would greatly appreciate it as well.

2020.09.16 03:15 RecentPop3166 Very confused on how to find a provider with Medicare and Medicare advantage plans in California

My dad recently turned 65 and I signed him up for Medicare. He has Part A& B. I started looking into what his options were for dental/vision and learned about Medicare Advantage plans. My understanding was that Medicare advantage plans cover what medicare doesn't, such as prescriptions, dental visits, eye care, etc. It sounded like a really good idea. I signed him up for Anthem Mediblue Select (HMO) considering I've had Anthem blue cross and never really had much issues with them.
My dad hasn't been to any doctor for about 4-5 years. I'm trying to find a regular, primary care doctor that he can go to first and then be referred to specialists if needed. My understanding was that I could find a primary doctor using the Find Care feature on Anthem's website. I assumed that if doctor accepted Anthem's Mediblue Select HMO insurance, then they would accept Medicare to begin with.
Well I did find a doctor and had a really bad experience yesterday. Although it listed on Anthem's website that my dad's specific advantage care insurance was accepted, the doctor told me no, that they used a different insurance plan. I was super confused because I figured okay, even if he's not their advantage plan then his doctor's visit will be covered by Medicare. They said no to this, that my dad had to be enrolled in both. They made us wait for an hour even though we had an appointment, and then tried to pressure me to pay out of pocket/switch to their plan that same day, guilting me by telling me how neglectful I have been for my dad's medical care. I really want to avoid something like this again.
So, when looking for a provider do I need to do it directly through Medicare (like their website?) and then ask if they also accept our advantage plan? Or was this just a weird/bad experience and I can keep using Anthem's Find Care feature? I'm also not sure if I should call Medicare or Anthem for more clarification. This is very confusing for me and I appreciate anyone's help.

2018.06.05 23:42 nvfh33 FLR for Advantage plans

Does anyone have any up-to-date information on Functional Limitation Reporting for Medicare Advantage plans (part B)? I can't find anything more recent than 2014.
I just got off the phone with Anthem MediBlue about a strange new-to-me denial that turned out to be denied for no FLR codes. Of course no one on her floor knows when MediBlue started to require FLR codes and god forbid they go beyond their floor to find out. Directing me to CMS.gov wont give me Anthem policies (I did look :/). This has me quite baffled. They demand they have to follow medicare guidelines requiring the FLR but at the same time require orthonet authorization to determine medical necessity....which is what the FLR is for for medicare. In all my medicare advantage plan billing this is the first I have ever seen this required.
I have contacted my provider rep but that takes several voicemails and a week or two to hear back so I am hoping someone here has any idea.
