Anybody want a 1998 Kouki with 32,851 Original miles?
I figured I’d see if anyone wants my Kouki. Before I continue to throw money at a car thats only been driven 50 miles in 2 years😳 (Pic of odometer when purchased and current mileage included)
Otherwise its getting paint, bodywork and rust preventive undercoating, done for $7k
1998 “Kouki” 32,851 original miles Car was totalled by insurance in 2000, rebuilt 6 months later and issued reconstructed title. It was stored and sat for 22 years, I purchased it in 2022. Fuel tank was dropped and flushed, rusted pump and fuel sender, removed and replaced.
5 speed swap done by OneMotion Auto Warminster P.A. a respected JDM shop in December 2023. Car shifts gears smoothly and operates without any issue. All Dash gauges work after the swap and car is fully functioning. Power windows, sunroof,cruise control, power mirrors Ac/Heat all function.
$1800 just in parts, for the 5 speed swap. I took over a year to source the best OEM/Nismo parts and best Aftermarket parts for the 5 speed swap from canada, japan, england and the U.S.
The shifter assembly has been completely rebuilt with gktech springs to remove stock play and slack.
All lock cylinders pulled and rekeyed so no other 240 key opens it 🥷
EGR Plate installed and delete done by OneMotion Auto during 5 speed swap.
They also did a full run down on the car to make sure everything works as it should plus more than I can remember off the top of my head, I have the invoice for the 5 speed swap and all other laboparts.
Mechanically its mint and ready to drive🙌🏽

I just changed my rear upper control arm bushings. And soon as i started the car it came up with like 2 codes saying service active handling and traction etc. All i did was take out rear wheels, brake and rotor and the control arm. Any help on what couldve caused this ?

Hi Guys! I have corvette C5 and I'm experiencing a problem. Every time I put the car in gear, while letting go of the clutch, the car just turns off. I took it to a garage and they told me in was the steering column problem. I installed a bypass module, and it still switches of while letting go of the clutch. I even tried to dump the clutch, it still switches off. I cant drive or move my car more than 2 meters, no one knows what the problem is and Im getting really frustrated. I hope someone can help me here.

Hey all, I have a Cammus c5 and when im playing iRacing, the buttons on the wheel and the shifter randomly stop working. I have no idea whats causing this and it is a major issue that I have been having for some time now, it used to not work only for a second or two but now it stops working and doesnt come back. I've tried flashing the drivers to no avail. Any ideas on how to fix this?

I was going to get a new shift knob because I absolutely HATE the feel of the stock. It's way to small for my hands and such a weird grip angle.
I started looking and knobs and seeing alotnof stuff on short shifters. Is it worth the upgrade in a daily or am I better off just doing the knob and leave it as it is.

I (52F) grew up around cars, and have owned a lot of them over my lifetime, but mostly modern cars that were used as daily drivers or fun 2nd cars. The fun cars include a C5 Corvette, several Miatas, a BMW M3, and a couple of GTIs. A few years ago I bought an 84 Mk1 GTI and while fun while it ran, it was too much of a project car and turned into a never-ending money pit beyond my average skills and resources to wrench (sadly, it was an impulse buy as it reminded me of a car I had in high school.)
I am looking for recommendations for a classic car from the 1960s-70s that are easy to get parts for and repair, that have a decent owner following, that I do not have to mortgage my home to locate and buy the pseudohydroexhaustwidget to keep it going, and that have a decent amount of space where me and the wife can throw a couple of overnight bags in and take our Thelma and Louise journey to destinations unknown.
That said, I don't mind dropping a couple of thousand of dollars per year to keep a car going, and understand that older cars have a continuous need for upkeep with things like seals, electrical components, etc. needing attention. I live in a snowbelt state and would only drive maybe 300-500 miles over three or four months per year. I love rowing my own gears, the sound of a V8, and a drop top with the wind through my hair. I love the mid-60s shoebox Nova II, Mustang fastback, and Bonneville convertibles.
I'd love to stay under $35k if I could, but open to ideas for the right car. Any recommendations?

My 99 C5 A/C blows through all of the vents all of the time. Turning the selector (face only, face/feet, feet only, and defrost (front windshield vent?) doesn't change anything. Is this something I can fix myself without having to take apart the dash? Or is there an easy fix? Or am I in for a long job?

Hello Reddit! I have a little gremlin i'm trying to figure out in my 2003 C5 Z06 Manual that i just got on Friday. It started after I went to start it on Sunday, and the battery was dead. So I jumped the battery and headed to Advance Auto to get a new battery for my new ride. The problem started almost instantly after it got to the first stop light and hung up at around 2100-2300 RPMs as i coasted in neutral, until i came to a complete stop, and then returned to its normal 800 RPM. The problem didn't go away after changing the battery either.
This car does have a tune, but maybe the battery dying reset the rolling idle? I'm unfamiliar with what a battery dying on a Corvette can bring, or even how complex tunes are since i bought the car second hand. But it's a little annoying to come rolling up to a gas pump revved up at 2300 RPMs in neutral. I have cleaned the throttle body, and looked for vacuum leaks but didn't see anything out of the ordinary.
Any advice is good advice for this first time Corvette owner. Thanks!

Hello, I have two problems with my TSW Truck Wheel.
I've never seen rotating analog sticks before, if it's a thing excuse me. (Actually both of them are rotable) Reviews of this wheel not covering this point as far as I've seen. So just wanted to check everyone who has the wheel got this rotating stick knobs like mine, because sometimes it can give me hard time to push one side to look around while I turning the wheel, so I wondering if it's really a feature.
And I couldn't manage to change rgb lighting on the buttons. There's no tab above in Steering Wheel Settings in Pit House software like I've seen in reviews and also Moza Support provided solution for my ticket. Also no luck with pointing or clicking the buttons from main page or same Steering Wheel Setting page. Uninstalled and re-installed latest version (online installer) of Pit House, flashed Base and (automatically) Wheel with offline firmware installer which came out outdated version. Pit House says everything up to date right now but problem still exist or maybe I'm getting old that I can't do this simple process. (I can change the RPM Light Bar from Pit House - Steering Wheel Settings btw. )
I'm using R5 Base with HGP Shifter and SR-P pedals. Using the latest firmwares along side up to date Pit House software. (Tried offline installer but it contains older versions for the components)

2024.05.13 08:43 vicariousss My 2024 Maverick left me stranded.

I was taking my Maverick on a 5 hour road trip to see my mom when about 2 hours in I stopped by a gas station to grab a drink. When I came back out I started my truck like normal and attempted to shift to drive but the gear shift knob wouldn't budge. No errors or alerts whatsoever. I tried turning my truck on and off, jiggled the wheel and shifter knob, unhooked the battery for 30 mins and reconnected, manually attempted to press the brake switch and jiggled the wires etc, I tried everything possible for over 2 hours and nothing, it was a total fucking brick.
I called up Ford Roadside and they sent a tow truck that took over an hour to arrive. When they finally got there they had no idea how to get it in neutral (no red strap override under the access panel, just a bolted down lever under the hood buried under all kinds of shit), so they ended up dragging my truck on to the tow truck. Pretty fucking ridiculous. Took my Mav to the nearest dealership and had to fight like hell to get a loaner while they figure out whatever the hell is wrong.
Anyone else had any problems like this? The service dept said they hadn't heard of anything like this happening on the Maverick but apparently the Escape had this as a common issue several years ago. I love this truck but this has left a sour taste in my mouth and I feel anxious about attempting another long distance trip.
It's a 2024 Ford Maverick XLT Ecoboost AWD 4K FX4 Lux with only 4000 miles on it.

When it did this before I had to unplug the fuel lines and it would run. But now it won’t even when I do that. Any ideas
