The AI's new image gen was severely underpresented and went mostly unrecognized by intention of OpenAI. Even those who have recognized the image generator don't seem to see the full extent of its possibilities. Near-perfect text is the small part of this image generator's improvements.
This generator has a 3D understanding of the world, similar to Sora, likely even better. It can consistently and accurately generate environments and characters from any angle without losing detail. This is enormous. This gives it a level of spacial awareness we've never seen before, especially considering that the image generator is built into GPT-4o as a modality, giving the chatbot a full understanding of the image and space, and the image a full understanding of the context.
The possibilities are endless here. I know I've posted here about this before, but I want to know, how would you use this image generator?
Me personally, I would generate an image of a 3rd person perspective of a character in a fantasy environment with a HUD. Then, I could instruct the chatbot to explore and interact with the world in any way I desire, and the world could respond in an unlimited amount of ways based on logic. Idk about you, but that would be the most fun thing in existence to me until a better AI releases.
Before the comments roll in, no, it's not out, and it won't release for months. If they aren't ready to even show us the true quality of the image generator, they're probably not willing to give it to us.

I’m (48F) visiting my host parents in Yarra Junction for 8 weeks starting in June. I haven’t been to Melbourne since then- 1993- so things are a bit different then what I remember! I’m looking to do some sort of mobile phone plan while I’m there and am looking at doing a prepaid one through Telstra. (Should I look at a different company?)
One thing I remember about phone calls (landlines) in Australia, was even calling your neighbor you were charged- which was different than what I was used to. So I’m trying to sort out how mobile plans and internet WiFi set up compared to what I’m used to.
In the US- everyone has WiFi including businesses, so, I typically don’t use a lot of data on my phone plan, bc I can always jump on to a hotspot, or friends WiFi if needed. The Telstra prepaid plans I’m considering are unlimited data/texts in Australia, Do I really need unlimited data, or can I use a cheaper plan?
I will be traveling around Victoria visiting family, and I don’t want to be a burden as a guest while we visit other people. What should I plan for.
The plans I’ve seen say that I’d get 100 international text messages- my Gen Z kids text- they don’t talk on the phone. Would I be charged for incoming and outgoing texts?

(Heads up, this is a long one as the background is a lot.)
I (22 F) was invited to my friend's baby shower. For fear and to protect myself due to past trauma, let's name her H. H was my friend since middle school. In high school, she dated G and now they are married and are expecting a baby.
Here's some background info. Before H and G started dating, H, our friends, and I found G and his group of friends annoying. All through high school, G and his group kept making fun of me and annoying me just because they had tried to set me up with one of G's friends, who I kept rejecting. (As a 1st gen, my family had me involved in school and I did after-school activities so I could get into good colleges in the future. I focused on school, and I didn't have much time for friends, much less for a guy. I also didn't want a relationship due to a past event.) Well, even after G's friend took the hit, his group wouldn’t leave me alone. My family is fairly known, so everyone knew where we lived. G's group would annoy me at school, which included classes we might’ve had in common, being in the same building, finding me before or after school, and would even drive by my home yelling "That's my girlfriend" at the top of their lungs. H was part of my friend group and she agreed that the guys were being childish and our friend group basically called it harassment. Many times, G's group actually got me in trouble with my parents. My parents would believe them if the group yelled outside the house. The group also called me out on social media once and when I stood up for myself, my family told me to delete what I had commented as they didn't want their perfect girl to be involved in drama. (In my opinion, I don’t think my parents wanted their friends to see the colorful language I used.)
Sometime later, H tells our group that she started dating G. They had ups and downs in the relationship. G cheated, he wasn't winning over H's family and wouldn't put her first in some situations. While they were dating, G and his group kept messing with me. When a friend and I planned lunches with H, the plans would automatically involve G last minute, to which my friend and I decided to stay on campus rather than to go with the "happy couple." My friends and I were convinced we would lose H eventually, which little by little, we did. She tried to convince us that G was changing and was trying to change to win over her parents. According to H, G even started staying after school to talk to teachers to get his grades up. None of us actually believed it as the teasing still continued.
Well, since graduation, I haven't spoken to H, or even texted. You know how it is, you go to college, friends grow distant, and because of assignments, there's rarely any time to hang out with anyone. Before H was married, my family and I would invite her to parties. Now this is where this rule might be an A-Hole move. A rule my family follows is that if you’re invited to an event, but don't show up, you are no longer invited to any other events. I always hated this rule because sometimes things happen. The thing is, with H, she always confirms she'll show up, but never does. I didn't invite her anymore after she didn't show up to any event in 2 years as I began to think I lost a friend as with many others. Well, my mother has actually continued to invite H, even after she was married. H continues with the same routine, confirms but doesn't show. I've told the friends I've made through work and college that I fear that one day H might actually show up to an event with her husband and that the same thing as high school might happen again. My friends tell me that since they actually show up, if anything happens, they'll be there to support me as they know I've changed and see I've become more of a bad b. They say that I shouldn't worry because I'm no longer that shy girl, and that I'm no longer defenseless. My friends have also accompanied me on my healing journey as they know I’ve been going to counseling to get over all this trauma as well as other past events.
Now, for the invite. I'll be honest, I didn't know H was married until she changed her status on social media. Yes, we still follow each other. I didn't think she would’ve ended up with G after everything that happened in their relationship. Months later, maternity pictures were on her page. Sometime later, I got an invite to the baby shower. Now, I know baby shower rules run differently. In Hispanic families, 99% of the time, men are welcome to celebrate as well and it’s not women only. With this, I discussed with my family that I don't want to go because H will have her husband there and G still has his group of friends from what other friends have told me. My mother and sister called me selfish for not going to the party and still living in the past. I told them I understood their point of view, but I told them I didn't want to go to a party where I'd feel uncomfortable. My sister started saying that I was H's friend and that I should be there for her. I then asked her that question about H, stating "Okay then when has she been here for me? She hasn't been to a party or gathering in years when this is the first time she invites me." My sister became silent and went to her room. Later that night, my mom and sister tried to talk to me again. I said no. I told them they could go without me. To make things worse, my family still paints me as the villain. They know I went to counseling, but stopped due to school and work hours. They knew I was basically bullied and harassed at school, and with college and work, I’m also sleep deprived and my health has become a difficult situation in these last few years. My family told me to go as I would want H to show up for me. But here's the thing, she hasn't shown up for me at all. Any question my family tried to throw at me, I threw it back as if they were asking H about me. (Let’s say dinner was silent that night.)
I spoke to my friends and told them everything that had been going on. They agreed that I shouldn't go as they know I'm not ready to see H or G. They told me that if I was going to be uncomfortable, I shouldn't go. Since they knew about my mental journey, they reminded me that my counselor told me to take things slowly. They said that if I decide to go, to contact our group, and that some of them will accompany me to the baby shower to make sure I stay safe. I thanked them for that and I told them I would update them if anything happened. I asked my grandmother as I wanted the point of view of someone with more life experience. Even she told me not to go and let my mother and sister go alone. She told me that if I'm uncomfortable, she sees no point in siding with her daughter (my mom) when she'd rather protect me, her granddaughter. I did tell her my friends’ plan. She liked it. My grandmother also knows that because of this situation, my blood pressure might get high again. She told me that if I go with my friends, to take my medication and to tell my friends where I’ll have it in case things go wrong, as she fears I might get a panic attack (I’ve only had one) and she trusts my friends as she’s met them (before my parents). (I don’t take my medication every day as it makes me sleepy, tired, or dizzy. I also don’t take it if there’s a party so I can drink alcohol if I choose to.)
I know that some might think I'm punishing my friend for something she technically had no control over as people marry who they want and she wasn’t part of the bullying, but I don't want to be at the baby shower and risk getting made fun off again by her husband and his friends. I also find baby showers boring. Some might think that I’m holding on to a grudge, but this harassment causes fear as I had also been through worse bullying experiences when I was a child. (I was bullied from 5th grade for being small, all through middle school for being small, people thinking I had money (when I didn’t), having a rolling backpack due to back problems, and then harassed by G’s group in high school.) I don’t know what to do as my mother and sister are still pressuring me. My friends have considered taking me out on the day of the baby shower. They know my family wants me to go out with friends more, so my friends plan on telling my family that it’s a “graduation celebration” before the actual graduation party scheduled a week later since some “won’t make it” ha ha. My friends are truly amazing! I am willing to accept judgment, but I need insight. AITA for not going to the baby shower?
PS: Will probably give an update after the baby shower date. I don’t use my computer much since it’s partially broken.

Mon premier contact avec Thomas, il y a peut-être 6 ou 7 ans, fut un message de sa part me complimentant sur ma soi-disant belle plume. S’ensuivirent une série de messages complètement cringe, mais bon, pas assez, faut croire, parce que je lui répondais. J’aime pas mettre les gens dans des cases, pis ça me prend un bout (peut-être trop longtemps) avant de voir le rouge sur les drapeaux.
Toujours est-il qu’il s’est vite mis à m’envoyer des messages de nature sexuelle. Là, ça n’allait plus. J’ai arrêté de lui répondre. Il a fini par s’excuser. Heureusement, les temps changent, mais à ce moment-là, j’ai accepté ses excuses et je lui ai reparlé quelques fois. Shame on me, mais c’est ça qui est ça. Un moment donné, il m’a écrit pour me demander comment j’abordais la sexualité avec mes enfants, plus particulièrement avec mon garçon. La question de départ semblait somme toute legit, mais j’étais mal à l’aise.
Les questions qui suivirent justifièrent mon malaise. C’était rien pour appeler la police, mais c’était vraiment wack. T’sais, des fois c’est dur d’interpréter les propos d’un individu qu’on connaît pas (mais qui est aimé par un paquet de monde qu’on connaît), mais je trouvais qu’il me parlait un peu trop de mon enfant et de masturbation. Fait que je l’ai ghosté. Jusqu’à ce qu’il se propose pour venir à mon podcast. Criss que je laisse trop de chances aux gens. I know. C’était mon premier show à vie, pis à l’époque je fréquentais un autre humoriste qui m’avait dit que je n’avais pas les skills pour faire ça. Fait que j’étais fucking nerveuse. Pour le premier épisode, j’avais organisé un p’tit meeting avec mes collaborateurs au bar où je travaillais. Tout le monde (qui pouvait être là) avait accepté l’invitation avec plaisir, pis on s’est rencontrés tel que prévu. Il est arrivé en retard (pas grave), et il m’a dit, direct en partant, de dire à mon « chum » (l’humoriste extrêmement wrong que je fréquentais) de lâcher le cristal meth, qu’il faisait honte au domaine de l’humour. Comme ça. Devant tout le monde. Plus tard, j’ai surpris une conversation entre Thomas et cet humoriste de marde échangeant de coquins messages dont la masturbation était le sujet principal. En fait, Thomas parlait TOUJOURS de masturbation. Même à une mineure. Même quand il était question de mon fils, qui avait genre 14 ans à l’époque.
Quand j’ai enfin commencé la réunion, il m’a coupée en levant son esti de doigt en guise de « J’ai une question ».
Moi: « Oui, Thomas? »
Thomas: « Qu’est-ce qu’on fait ici, au juste? »
Pis là, nerveuse, y’a fallu que je lui explique mon cheminement, que c’était la première fois que je faisais ça, etc.
Pis lui, il a continué à me ridiculiser en insistant sur le fait que toute cette réunion était complètement inutile.
Tout le reste de cette inutile et ridicule réunion, il a regardé la télé. Ou fait semblant de. Mais il n’a pas participé à la réunion. J’étais complètement déstabilisée, mais en même temps j’étais plutôt contente qu’il farme sa câlisse de yeule.
Mais il n’a malheureusement pas fermé sa yeule tout le long. Il intervenait, une fois de temps en temps. Pour me faire perdre toute forme de contenance et de crédibilité.
Un moment donné, je parlais de mon idée de faire un top 10 des désavantages à avoir une forte poitrine, pis il m’a coupée pour me dire: « Désolé, mais le concept du top 10, c’est non seulement dépourvu d’originalité, mais c’est David Letterman qui l’a inventé ». Bref, il m’accusait de copier sur David Letterman, avec mon tabarnac de top 10.
Une heure après ce calvaire de meeting (qui oui, s’avéra inutile, À CAUSE DE LUI), je lui écrivais qu’il m’avait rendue mal à l’aise, ce à quoi il m’a répondu: « Ah ben moi je n’étais pas du tout mal à l’aise. Mais toi, dis-moi, ça t’arrive souvent de boire le matin? »
Il était 11:30. J’avais prévu ça à cette heure-là, parce que j’enseignais à 13:00. Pis je me suis commandé un p’tit 5 oz de vin blanc.
Je lui ai alors proposé de ne pas venir au podcast, proposition qu’il accepta.
Quand j’ai annoncé, quelques mois plus tard, que mon podcast serait désormais filmé devant public au Miss Villeray, il m’a écrit pour me dire qu’il était désolé de comment ça s’était terminé la dernière fois et qu’il désirait se rattraper. Ben oui, esti: j’ai dit oui. Ça me décâlisse, quand je constate, en racontant mes histoires, à quel point je me laisse manipuler, dans vie. Heureusement, il m’a chokée la journée-même.
Quelque trois ans plus tard, je me retrouve à faire un numéro dans une soirée de stand up. Je dis pas souvent oui, pour faire ça, et ce, pour diverses raisons (entre autres que ça me terrorise et que je n’aspire point à devenir humoriste), mais cette fois-là, j’ai accepté l’invitation. Y’a même des gens qui s’étaient déplacés pour me voir, et ça m’avait particulièrement touchée. Y’avait des humoristes que j’aime full, sur le pacing, pis je me trouvais trop chanceuse de vivre ça. Pis j’avoue que j’étais plutôt fière de ce que j’avais écrit comme number. C’était beaucoup de « liners », pis j’me trouvais quand même drôle. Honnêtement, ça s’est vraiment bien passé. Y’a des gens du milieu qui sont venus me dire de bien belles choses, quand la soirée s’est terminée.
Or, je le sais pas comment j’ai fait pour que ça se passe aussi bien, parce que je passais après la pause, et que tout le long de la première partie, je voyais le câlisse de Levac (qui oui, faisait partie du pacing) faire de gros « NON » de la tête, presque à chaque prestation. Y’avait un humoriste de 18 ans là-dedans qui était parti du Saguenay pour venir faire cette soirée pour laquelle il était payé une bière. Durant presque tous les numéros d’humoristes, disais-je, Thomas parlait super fort, ou bedon il hochait frénétiquement de la tête, allant même jusqu’à mettre son visage entier dans ses mains en signe de découragement total. À un certain moment, il s’est même levé pour aller se regarder faire des « NON » dans un miroir près de l’entrée du bar où l’évènement se produisait. Genre longtemps. Il s’est regardé LONGTEMPS en faisait des « NON » de la tête.
C’était non seulement creepy as fuck, mais imaginez comment c’était TERRORISANT POUR LES HUMORISTES SUR SCÈNE ET CEUX QUI ALLAIENT BIENTÔT Y MONTER.
Je n’ai pas regardé Thomas Levac, en faisant mon numéro. Et je n’ai demandé à personne s’il avait fait de grands « NON » de la tête, durant celui-ci. En fait, j’ai plus demandé à la personne qui m’accompagnait de ne pas me le dire, s’il faisait ça. Anyway, je sais pertinemment qu’elle ne l’aurait pas fait.
J’imagine que oui, il a fait ça, parce qu’après la dernière prestation, quelques humoristes ont décidé de rester prendre un verre. Dont lui. Pis moi. Il parlait au jeune Saguenéen de 18 ans. J’essayais de pas trop écouter, mais criss, on était tous sur la même banquette. Il lui disait entre autres que s’il ne savait pas où aller coucher il pouvait aller chez lui, pis il lui Thomasplainait que les gens qui faisaient des « une ligne un punch » (ce que j’ai fait pas mal tout le long de mon numéro), ce n’étaient pas de vrais humoristes et que c’était juste facile et paresseux de faire ça.

I have in front of me:

• the new ipad with the nano screen
• a last gen pro with no screen protector
• a last gen pro with a generic (non-paperlike) writing-focused screen protector
• an Apple Pencil

The nano texture screen DOES change the writing feel. There is an audible very light scratching noise on the nano screen where the old regular screen is just silent and smooth.
The nano texture screen's writing feel is NOT as textured as the writing-focused screen protector I have on the other ipad.
If you want MORE texture, writing-focused screen protector is probably the way to go. But if you just hated the pure smoothness and just need a bit of texture to feel better about writing, the nano-texture works great.
I briefly tested the Apple Pencil with a titanium nib instead of the plastic tip and I LOVE that feel. But I'm scared about durability, so I will use the normal tip.
The nano screen's text does not reduce my perceived text sharpness at my normal operating distance. I would say there's a slight softer dithering of text when looking very close.
The nano screen does attract fingerprints. But I'm staring at my old normal screen with a nightmare of fingerprints on it right now so I wouldn't consider that a real factor.
The bright key lights I have at my desk are diffused with the nano screen and make unreadable hotspots readable.

A lot of new fans are curious as to which order they should start watching the show, because they want to watch the best seasons and avoid spoilers. While watching from the beginning and making up your own mind would make sense in theory, true fans know that a complicated, nonsensical approach is the only way to really enjoy the show. As a fan who has been watching since the first season aired in 2000, it's unfortunate that I had no choice but to watch chronologically in real time. If I were fortunate enough to get struck with a blow to the head so hard that I lose my memory, this is the order in which I would watch Survivor:

1. Nicaragua (21) - You have to start with an HD season.
2. Heroes vs. Villains (20) - You've earned it.
3. Heroes vs. Healers vs. Hustlers (35) - This way you can weigh in on the eternal fan debate of which Heroes tribe is more iconic, the one with Rupert and Cirie or the one with Katrina and JP.
4. Cagayan (28) - A lot of people think that Joe from HvHvH is the store brand version of Tony, but by watching in the correct order, you will see that Tony is in fact a retread of Joe.
5. South Pacific (23) - If you thought Coach was entertaining in HvV, you'll love seeing him here. If you thought Ozzy was entertaining in Cook Islands, then you have failed to follow the proper watch order. May God have mercy on your soul.
6. Winners at War (40) - It would be foolish to spoil the winners of 21 other seasons before you've seen them. By waiting to watch WaW 6th, you will only spoil the winners of 17 other seasons.
7. Ghost Island (36) - This season references a lot of memorable mistakes made by Survivor players. Watching Ghost Island means those moments won't catch you off guard when you eventually see them.
8. Caramoan (26) - This season includes Erik, who you'll recognize as one of the most prominent people featured in Ghost Island.
9. Micronesia (16) - It's time to see how Erik's mistake really went down. You've earned it.

14. Fiji (14) - This is the only season that aired in the exact position it's meant to be watched. An amazing coincidence.
15. One World (24) - See Colton......get medevaced???? Twist!!
16. Guatemala (11) - #16. Why not?
17. Palau (10) - In theory, Guatemala is a follow-up season to Palau, and the story makes a lot more sense when you know that Stephenie was really popular the first time she played. But she's a lot easier to root for in Palau so emotionally it's more satisfying to watch it after.
18. Edge of Extinction (38) - This is when David comes back. Your patience has paid off. There are three other returning players here who you haven't seen yet, but let me reiterate: this is the correct order. I'm not going to apologize for it.
19. Game Changers (34) - There are 20 returning players here, and you've seen 13 of them already. This season will offer concrete evidence that the other 7 are game-changing players in their earlier seasons. Players like Hali, Sierra, and Caleb may not seem very impactful when you get around to watching their first seasons, so watching Game Changers keeps you from making the incorrect assumption that they are not in fact among the most important players in Survivor history.
20. Cook Islands (13) - Candice is......not really a hero? The twists keep coming!!!

Other than that, you won't notice much of a difference.
31. Redemption Island (22) - When this season aired, we had watched fan favorite Boston Rob lose three times, so seeing him win was a long time coming. By watching in the proper order, you've had the privilege of seeing him lose four times, so his win is 5% more impactful.
32. Tocantins (18) - It's an HD season with a pretty strong cast and relatively straightforward gameplay that a new viewer could easily follow. You'd think it would be a lot higher up on the watch order. You're wrong.
33. Borneo (1) - Yes, historically, it's important blah blah blah. But honestly, after you've seen 32 seasons where alliances are a normal part of the game, this season's going to seem really elementary and slow-paced. Don't blame me, blame the watch order.
34. Panama (12) - You've probably been wondering all this time how a popular player like Cirie didn't make the cut for Winners at War. Now it's time to finally put your uncertainty to rest: it's because she didn't win any of her previous seasons, including this one. Isn't it so much more rewarding to find out this way?
35. Philippines (25) - I think by now you should have a pretty good sense of whether you like the show or not. You can stop after this one if it's not your thing.
36. Outback (2) - In 2001, we watched this season and thought Jerri was the villain, not Colby. Thankfully, a 2024 viewer will realize otherwise. The fact that every other cast member besides Amber found Jerri irritating and difficult to live with? That's irrelevant. Did you see Colby throw that bucket of water at her?
37. Island of the Idols (39) - Half the season is just text on a screen. "The producers are monitoring the situation," "something happened off-camera," etc. I watch TV so I don't have to read. That makes this season pretty hard to follow for me, so I don't know much about what happens in it. Otherwise it would probably be a lot higher, I'm sure it's pretty popular.
38. Kaoh Rong (32) - Look, we all know the real reason why anyone wants to start watching Survivor. You wanna see somebody die. This is the closest you're gonna get, sorry to say.

A couple of days ago I got a text from an unknown number on WhatsApp, usually they're people I know and I just haven't got their number until then, but this time it wasn't anyone I could envision. It was a foreign number with the +2-- something. I assume it was African as I had seen multiple country code numbers start with a 2 and the country's name sounded like it was from there(I am African by the way). I was given a welcome text that you usually get from a service related to forex and crypto. The text wasn't for me as the name wasn't mine and I had made no account with the service details. The person who sent it got the wrong number (somehow) and didn't send any additional information or P.S'. At first I thought it was complete bull as I actually got into forex through Meta trader (MT5) and ever since my phone's personalized ads have added it to the content I see. I waited until I got to a focused space to investigate.
To crush my hopes it wasn't login details for MT5 which I have gotten to know quite well, but there was the website to log into included. I typed it in, used the details and without much barriers, Login Successful, I was allowed in, no two factor authentication or nothing, I thought it was quite a quite lousy way of security but I wasn't going to complain.
Just to be clear, I will not say every little detail so I won't get finessed by a hacker smarter than I, as I believe just bits and pieces of information is all someone needs to pinpoint the details for themselves, yes what I did could be depicted as stealing but it is what it is.

A Key, a digital key, I could not find it in the text or the website, the key was a passcode that only the original creator knows, I did some research and found not even the hash method would work, only he has it, but I was determined... kinda. I replied back to the original text asking how to use my key and precisely sent it in a way I believed the owner would have said it in; And in the meantime while waiting on the reply I took to google and researched how to use password hackers. I came across Passgan but none of the sites had any download options and I was losing motivation, I had work coming up. I had attempted the key many times already seeing if I could guess some obvious ones but it wouldn't budge, but I knew the brute force method was sure to work eventually. I found a software that did what I expected, so I had put in who what when where and why's type of whatnot of the password I needed unlocked, and good thing there was somehow seemingly unlimited attempts.
I activated it, put my device away and let it do its work. I had gone to make some cordial and run random quick errands out of excitement, weird what humans do when they feel like something will go their way for once. When I returned to my device it had shown the funds at a different balance to pre withdrawing, I couldn't believe it wasn't there. I waited another span of time, a bit longer than the first time because I assumed a transfer of that size would take a couple of hours at least. I checked the wallet I sent it to. It was 7 figures higher than what I had before.
In around 2 seconds, thoughts of how my life would change flooded my head more than any fantasy I could ever have connected. I've seen enough movies to know 1 mistake could make the whole operation topple down so I continued to keep it in until the job was actually done. The last step was to have it go from my digital crypto wallet to my bank account. I knew sending 7 figures to my bank would trigger suspicion for sure so I decided to only send feeble amounts at a time, but even this method wouldn't be enough for me. In the country I'm in, unexplained wealth is grounds for arrest as I've seen on the news a few times.
I thought to just do my whole thing real slow, I wanted nothing more than to quit my job, but hadn't yet found a suitable alibi to unexplained wealth. You don't just go from the lowest tax bracket to the largest in a few days.
I decided I will withdraw just around a band or two to a high interest savings account every week and have it make me money. The one I settled with which I was already familiar with had a rate of +4%. I decided that I would quit work and just say my family had been supporting me while I study something that pays really nicely, a ticket in advanced construction and some aged care or disability work and claim to have simply been working a fuck ton saving almost every possibly dime using some nonsense Andrew Tate motivation, they would surely buy that story, well for anyone who came looking. Then I should be able to sneak in my money and the other money together and hide it once more within a family business that would gladly help me out.
The things in the last paragraph haven't happened yet but so far it looks like it is going to go my way,
Why would a millionaire take to reddit and not twitter or something? Again I'm trying to hide this money but I so badly want to tell the story and I need to make a lot of money fast, I won't jeopardize myself that stupidly, even this story could mess things up but I doubt it. Just making this, using Ai to make a brain rot video out of it should bring in a couple thousand views to add to the money. So that basically 3 Million in a year or so can be justified on paper if it comes to it.
I don't even use reddit like that, but I had known most of the stories on my tik tok come from her, it was the first thing to come to my mind. My phone is dead too and the charger was bugging, so somehow as a millennial or Gen Z whatever or the fuck I'm in am able to sit and write this down in 1 Sitting is wild. I will write part two if it is interesting enough to y'all. (May 2024 is where this all unfolded.)

I (20s Black female) am a first gen first year law student. A few months ago I went to a networking event where I met an older attorney (60s, white man). We mainly chatted about the firm, his work in family law, and the food served. We have a nice chat but it was clear that we were just different, ya know? So I add him on LinkedIn the next day. After doing so he messaged me giving me his number and email to stay in contact. He said he doesn't use LinkedIn much. I shared my email as well. Now I am not one to share my number, I dont see the purpose if you have my email.
Anyways, a few days later he emails me wishing a good day and just checking in. I didn't think much of it until he asked for my number. I gave it. I figured maybe I should let go of the idea of keeping my number super private given that everyone has their number in their email anyways.
He texts me asking if we could meet for lunch. This is where it got really weird because he started to ask if he could pick me up and where I live. He was also insistent that I pick a place close to my house. I live downtown and most places are in walking distace so this was strange to me. No matter where we go in the city, I will be close to home. Maybe 15 min max.
Still, I am a people pleaser and honestly curious af. We go to lunch and he is quick to tell me he wants to be my mentor and aid me in finidng a path to a successful career. Maybe now is a good time to say he works at a large firm that I (and many people from my school) would love to work. He's been there about 30 years. With this being said, I still do not want this man as a mentor lol. There's just no connection like that between us. Idk. He goes on to tell me about his family, primarily his kids who are my age, and slight mention of his wife.
My friend ended up walking in while we were at lunch and stopped to say hi and tell me she'll be at the library if I want to study. The entire time shes talking (maybe 1-2 minute tops) he is giving just evil eye. Its like he's pissed and trying to hide it.
The lunch ends with me showing him some open positions in the area fro summer interns and he takes it upon himself to point out EVERY Black attorney or judge that he knows. He points out non-POCs as well but he announces which are Black. He said he was doing so because he assumed I would like to get to know the Black professionals. I quickly corrected him by informing him that while I would love to meet people who look like me in my field, it is certainly not a determining factor of my interest.
Anyways, he told me he wanted to introduce me to the Black attorneys in his office as many are recent graduates and we would have more in common. I was interested in his offer but it was soon clear that he has absolutely no relationship with these women as all but one ignored his email. The one who responded pointed me to my school's career development office, which I found weird since there was no mention of me looking for a job...
The last communication was last night when he texted me a little pass 11pm to say he hopes all is well. I don't know why he thinks its appropriate to text me soooo late. I dont know what to do with this man.

So I just saw MintSkull's new video about The Singularity, and he suggested a build, that I tried. I'm gonna examine his build, tell the pros and cons abuit it, and then I (a P100 Singu player) suggest a build. MintSkull's suggested build was:

Discussion of Mint's build:
The Kid's ball glove add-on is based, Singu is pretty unplayable without this add-on. In Family Photo, my greatest problem is that the haste bonus is too low (5%) while the negative effect (Overclock time 20% reduced) is too high. Ball glove could counter this time reduction but imo the basic overclock time is also expire too fast.
Bamboozle can be good if you use a fast vault build. There is no big function for this perk in this build, cuz singu can already vault so fast. Pop Goes is pretty good. Rapid Brutality can be good, especially with Family photo. And STBFL is good for every M1 killer so it's a correct perk for him too.

So ball glove is the best add-on. As I already told you about that. Without family photo, the overclock mode's duration is pretty good. The plant fibers is a good add-on when you can use it aggressively. Some people are afraid of being pallett dropped in overclocked, but don't. While you're in overclocked, they'll most likely try to pre-drop, with a lunge attack, they will drop the pallet on you, it will break, and if you have Coup de Grâce token, maybe you can get a free hit.
Now the perks. Lethal is my go-to perk. It's always useful to know where the survivors spawn. Jolt, or Surge if you're old (/s) if the gen regression perk you'll only need. If you can down them fast enough there will be no gen safe from regression. (Now the 3gen solution is laughing at me) As I already said, coup de grâce is a fantastic perk, cuz when you're in overclock mode, you can easily get free hits near pallets, AND -1 pallet for the match. Nowhere to hide is the most "useless" perk in this build. Now "useless" doesn't mean that it is useless. You can get big values from it. But if you switch it to anything you want it won't really matter.
Now that was my opinion about MintSkull's build. And you should know that this post isn't against MintSkull. I like his videos. I just wanted to tell you guys my experiences.

Hey all, I'd like to try promoting some more discussion of specific TTPs and other elements of investigation of IO here, so figured I'd share my recent blog post on Recorded Future's investigations into Iranian and Russian influence activity. link: https://www.memeticwarfare.io/p/memetic-warfare-weekly-six-years
The two operations are emblematic to some degree of their operators, and it raised an interesting point that I discuss in the post: what is the future of networked IO?
Will OpSec-prone domains continue to be prominent, or will we see more utilization of Telegram and other messaging applications?

I couldn’t help but write down some thoughts:

• These two networks are both emblematic of the general approaches and TTPs often attributed to their patrons. Russian operations often utilize domains whereas Iranian activity often exploits messaging groups and channels - not to say that this is the case universally by any means.
  • The Russian operation was RIFE with OpSec breaches, in comparison to the Iranian one which had far fewer. These breaches emanated primarily from the network’s domains.
• Gen AI is used by both, but the Russian network utilizes it more frequently and apparently more frequently for text.
  • The Russian operation had little authentic engagement at the beginning, but as the report states it’s begun to garner real engagement by posting higher-quality, targeted content.
• The Iranians managed to get some real engagement from Israelis on social media, if a small amount. Thus, the Iranian operation is arguably more impactful than the Russian despite having a lower level of operator investment in the network as a whole (at least at the domain level).
  • This can be credited to an apparently better understanding of the target society and its culture and politics, and in my opinion and most importantly - the choice of using messaging applications. Israelis love WhatsApp, and Telegram has grown greatly in popularity in past years.
• Creative uses of third-party services, such as crowdsourcing information via Google Forms and others, provide an additional added-value element here of data collection. Potential targeting in the future based on this data would also be much easier, and in practice lead much more easily to real-world impact via organizing protests, holding flags and so on.

Looking at the two reports, I’m going to harp on a point I make frequently. We in the IO space often overhype Russian capabilities and make light of others, including Iran.
In my opinion, the Iranian operation here is more complex, impactful and multimodal than the Russian operation (and similar operations such as say Doppelganger), and should be viewed as more successful.
We often tend to view Russian activity as being sophisticated, at least comparatively. This is in part to our perspective that running domains and domain-based infrastructure for operations is a sign of operator skill, arguably similarly to the CTI space.
In practice, domains are a serious issue for operators. They’re easy to misconfigure, are prone to OpSec breaches, and are hard to promote online, necessitating external assets for dissemination and amplification.
An analogy for this would be the decline of the dark web and the rise of messaging applications, including Telegram and others. This is due to the inherent advantages of utilizing messaging applications over domains (clear or onion):

• Groups and channels are easy to set up more securely on burner infrastructure, and there’s less incentive to reuse infrastructure.
• It’s easier to acquire “white” infrastructure instead of using suspicious hosting or domain registrar services,
• It’s easier to avoid KYC measures via burner infrastructure compared to domain registrars and hosting services.
• The cost is overall lower over time.
• Groups and channels are harder for analysts and investigators to identify and investigate.
• Dissemination and amplification is much more easily done at a larger scale thanks to built-in forwarding mechanisms.
• Groups and channels can serve as multimodal file repositories for seeding and other activity at a large scale.
  • Telegram in particular is a technical marvel in this regard. Users can upload files up to 2GB in size, and once a user downloads a file of , s/he can easily forward that file to as many people as desired. Compare this to domains, where sharing such large files easily would be a significant pain point.
• If burned or taken down, content can be easily moved to backup channels much more quickly than with domains.

None of this is to say Russia doesn’t utilize messaging applications, they absolutely do, but domains are still the leading entity choice for most threat actors.
What I do think we’ll see is a transition to messaging application groups and channels replacing in many cases domains as the central or key entity, as they already can replace most of their relevant functions.

I am ready to get a lot of criticisms and downvotes BUT hear me out:
I very much believe this is the least bulls#*t type of information you can get DIRECTLY from an actual founder building gen AI tools that have the potential to streamline and accelerate the 3D modeling process. I am happy to hear what everybody thinks about his point of view and check out the link at the end to read the full interview.
When will we be able to create Midjourney-level 3D models generated by AI?
Ethan: That's a common question. I’d divide it into the market and technology aspects. For market success, there must be real user need and at the moment, large-scale consumer use cases for 3D models are limited. A significant market shift might happen with the mass adoption of VR and XR headsets, creating a need for 3D, interactive models. From a technology perspective, we've only solved about 10% of the challenges. Proper UV unwrapping, topology, control, and reducing poly count are areas that need improvement. But I'm optimistic. Given the current pace of advancement, we could see major progress in the next few years.
You mentioned the importance of quality, diversity, and speed in a 3D generative AI product. Can you elaborate on that?
Ethan: Sure. Quality is paramount. Users are willing to wait or input more text for high-quality models with good textures, proper poly count, and neat UV unwrapping. Diversity is also crucial. A competitive 3D generative system should create a wide range of objects, not just limited categories like chairs or vases. Speed matters too. It’s essential to provide quick previews, even if the final high-quality model takes longer to generate.
