Hey! I stream Dead by Daylight and would like to find others that either enjoy being on stream or stream the game themselves to play with. Almost a year ago me and my bff both F(22) had a falling out due to a lack of communication, betrayal on her end, and on my part I was being distant which is not sometime I am proud of and I should have communicated better with her. Before our last time we talked we were texting and basically going off on eachother about the friendship and the people she surrounded herself with have hurt me in the past or at the time in the present. We were great friends for a number of years and I spent a lot of time with her, we were both close to our families as well and would have great times. Although I am still a bit hurt, I just wish we had more time to talk. We even both agreed that we wish we had more time to talk before I blocked her on everything. I have since removed my Instagram and I have unblocked her on everything else. I would love for her to reach out but I don’t think she ever will. I’m not sure what to do, I’m constantly seeing her family in public at times and her “friends” she’s around now go to places I also go to and used to be my friends as well. I’m not sure what to do or how she might be feeling? She even said before I blocked her that it was unnecessary to do so but I had to for my own heart. Any thoughts ?

• Tell us more about your clan (ex: how many members, requirements to join if any, focus on PvE/PvP/both, why should people join your clan, how do you communicate/organize events): We are a smaller group around 6-7 active players at the moment as we've lost a couple of members to attrition, we are interested in players with any level of skill . We are ideally looking to bring in as many as we can prior to the release of the Final Shape. We have a solid group of players that regularly play through and enjoy endgame content, however we also love teaching raids, dungeons, and everything else! Most of our members don't primarily play PVP and much prefer PVE, however we will do bannetrials, etc. if there are good rewards and/or someone needs help with something. A few things that we do require below:
  • Some level of maturity. We don't have any age requirements, my Son and Daughter both play and are 16 and 18 respectively, my son has been playing with me since he was 7 , however if you do join we do ask that you maintain some level of decency and maturity while playing with the group. We are mostly adults with day jobs and lives our own and play destiny as a means of relaxing and having fun. None of us want or will tolerate drama of any kind. We do use profanity occasionally, so be advised if that is something that you are not comfortable with. We do not tolerate racism, sexism, homophobia or bigotry of any kind and any of these will result in an immediate and permanent ban.
  • In order to be invited, you MUST be active in our discord. This does not mean that you have to make a required amount of posts or anything, however you MUST have a mic. and be willing to join in the occasional raid, dungeon, seasonal activity, etc. and be willing to communicate via mic. Don't be socially anxious, we're all really nice and as "normal" as they come, promise! We also love helping and teaching newer players.
  • As stated above, we understand completely that family and life obligations will always come first. We only ask that if you will be absent for an extended period of time, just communicate with an admin and/or the main chat and let everyone know you'll be back.

Hi, a few months ago I (16f) was in an online relationship with a guy (23m) who I met in an online video game. We were together for 5 months. He was very kind in the first month, but then he started to get really angry and yell at me a lot. He would also accuse me of cheating on him almost daily. After he started to show this behavior, I decided to end the relationship, but then he told me he had bipolar disorder, and that this was the reason he would get so angry. I asked him why he hadn’t told me this sooner, and he told me that he was scared I would break up with him for it. After this, I took him back. When I asked him what bipolar disorder was, he told me that it was a multiple personalities disorder, and that whenever he would get angry, he would blackout and wouldn’t remember anything that happened during the time that he was angry. But I found that every time he would come out of his angry state, he would miraculously remember everything that happened. I think he may have lied about what bipolar disorder was though, or maybe even lied about having it so he could excuse his abusive behaviour because shortly after I broke up with him, I looked up what bipolar disorder was. There was no mention of bipolar having anything to do with multiple personalities.
Anyway, back to the story. After a few months of constant minipulation and blackmail, I eventually got sick of it and tried to look for an escape. I initiated breakup multiple times, but every time, he would either threaten to hire someone to kill my family as he knew where I lived, threaten to post private photos of myself, make me feel bad about something, or he would threaten to kill himself. Now, before you say “Why didn’t you block him on everything?” Trust me, I did. But this wouldn’t stop him. He would just text or call my brothers and manipulate me through them, or he would spam my mums Xbox account with messages when she was online, and I didn’t want her to get involved so I would just unblock him. Every time he would threaten me, I would tell him that I didn’t mean what I said and that I still wanted to be with him. But eventually, being with him started to take a huge toll on my mental health. I started to act in ways that I never did before. I would throw temper tantrums every time he would text in the morning, letting me know that he was awake. I would punch the floor repeatedly as hard as I could whenever he called. I became extremely sensitive and cried over the dumbest reasons. My brother ate all my muffins and I bawled my eyes out. I never cry over things like that. Being with him was litterally driving me crazy.
And so, I planned on breaking up with him as soon as I moved countries, which was only a month away. On the day of my flight, I ghosted him. I was scared that he would post private pictures of myself online, but i ghosted him anyway because I was genuinely going insane being with him. After a few days, I forgot just how much I hated being with him, and out of fear and guilt I apologised for ghosting him and we got back together. I instantly regretted this when I woke up the following morning. He was nice again for about a day, but then he started to go back to his usual behavior. At this point, I hated myself and would have done anything to go back in time and not apologise to him, but of course that’s impossible. All I could do was wait for the right moment. I waited for him to say something. Something so bad that he couldn’t possibly make me feel bad about breaking up with him. And of course, that didn’t take long at all.
We were in the middle of a game, and my dog was hungry so I left to go feed her, he got angry. Later that night, he heard her yelp in pain (I think someone stepped on her paw?) and these were his exact words; “Was that Luna? Oh good. She’s dying. Now you won’t have to feed her anymore.” I asked him to repeat what he had just said, and he did as asked. I calmly left the game that we were in and I hung up the phone. He was very angry and instantly texted me, saying that I would regret it if I didn’t call him back immediately. But I didn’t care. I was way too angry to care. After he realised that I wasn’t going to call him back and that I was breaking up with him, his mood suddenly changed and he instantly started apologising and tried to make me feel guilty like he usually did. It was Wednesday when this happened, and every Wednesday he would spend time with his family and go out somewhere. He used this to try and make me feel guilty. “Wednesday is the only time I get to spend with my family, and you are taking it away from me! I can’t go out when I’m crying this much!” He said something along the lines of this. (Which is ridiculous of him to say, as he would literally make me spend every single minute of every single day day with him, and would get angry if I wanted to spend time with my family. For example; when my dad wanted to take me and my brothers on a 2 day holiday to the beach one last time as a goodbye present, he got very angry and said that he wanted my dad dead. I still went anyway, by the way.) I just laughed when he said this. I was so happy. Maybe the happiest I had been in my whole life. Possibly even the happiest person in the world at that moment. But not because he ‘couldn’t spend time with his family’, but because I knew that this time, we surely wouldn’t get back together. After a few days, he stopped texting me and eventually gave up. Finally, freedom!
But to this day I still wonder; was I wrong? If he really did have bipolar like he said he did and couldn’t control what he said or did when he was angry, would that make me wrong for leaving him?

So this guy and I have been texting for about 6 months. He DM’ed me on Instagram and got my phone number, we’ve been talking ever since. He lives in a different state. Let’s call him Jay.
During this time period, we’ve had 3 phone calls and text practically every day. The conversations never really get too deep. We’ll talk about random things but never about past relationships, childhood, etc. Therefore, I never really thought he was interested in me romantically, because other men I’ve spoken to often make it clear that they want to pursue me romantically.
Sometimes one of us (Jay and I) would stop texting for 1-2 days at a time, mostly on weekends, which is really just to take a breather from things. This is perfectly normal since it can be a lot to text everyday, all day without breaks. He has asked me to talk on the phone more often, but the evening hours are usually my “me time” where I smoke after work and just relax. He’s also asked to FaceTime, but I told him I’d prefer phone calls.
A few months ago, in January, I traveled to Jay’s state as my uncle also lives there and had been diagnosed with cancer. I didn’t tell Jay that I was in his city until I was already there, because in all honestly there was a lot going on with my uncles health, a lot for me to deal with and I wasn’t exactly in the right headspace. I came there just to visit my uncle. Jay understood this, but I think he was still a bit disappointed we didn’t get a chance to meet. We continued texting since January, but replies were sometimes delayed on both sides (not just on weekends).
Around the end of March, I was again going through a difficult time with family health issues and a new diagnosis of cancer regarding my dog. I stopped texting Jay, and he texted me a week later asking what was going on. I told him that it didn’t seem like he wanted to talk to me, since he was often taking a day or so to reply back. At this point he told me that if he didn’t “want to be my friend or whatever the case may be”, that he would let me know and not ghost me or anything like that. We continued texting. The key here is that he used the word “friend”, which further confirms on my end that he’s always viewed things platonically between us.
About 2 weeks ago, I casually asked Jay about his views on another man blocking/unblocking me and then reaching out to me. He gave some input on this, and then told me he doesn’t want to talk to me about other men, and that I should ask my girlfriends. A few days ago, I asked Jay if I should reach out to a man (the same one that blocked/unblocked me).
At this point, Jay told me he was going to “leave me alone” because he didn’t want to look dumb by communicating to me about this. I tried to talk to him about why he was saying this. I told him that he had friendzoned me, so it didn’t make sense why he was upset or acting this way about me bringing up another man. The conversation then turned into him asking me why I think he friendzoned me. He says that he never friendzoned me, and brought up the fact that I came to his state but didn’t see him or let him know beforehand that I was coming. He also mentioned how I’ve rejected phone calls from him or made up excuses about not wanting or being able to talk on the phone rather than texting. I told him that our conversations and the things we talk about, is what made me believe that it wasn’t anything romantic. Even during the phone conversations that we’ve had, we didn’t talk about deep things, only random superficial topics.
Basically he was telling me that he never friendzoned me and wanted to know how long I’ve been dealing with this other man. Jay hasn’t texted me back ever since last Saturday, and we had this little disagreement last Friday. I sent him a text yesterday (Tuesday) asking if we were alright, and he said yes, but he also hasn’t responded since yesterday morning. Did I misread this whole situation on whether he’s into me or not?

So I recently tried starting a very lightly modded playthrough. I'm not new to modding games so I'm fairly confident I'm installing them correctly, but I have a suspicion that I'm missing some dependencies or perhaps my game is just bugged. I've tried installing one mod at a time, and each one gives me a list of errors (I will post an example of one at the bottom). I even tried installing some utility mods for allowing other mods to communicate and supposedly eliminate some of these errors, and I even got errors with just those utility mods. I've done a ton a research and still came up empty handed. p.s. I have installed and ran script merger which does detect the mods but tells me there is no conflicts.

So basically about a week ago I blocked my SP because I was reacting to the 3D. Waiting and checking and asking him questions. Then I focused on my self concept and God.
I was gonna keep him blocked until he fully conformed but this started to make me feel bad to not be speaking to him. It felt worse than actually just being friends with him in the 3D.
So today I unblocked him and he said he was very upset about the block. (Which I obviously affirmed for) and when we spoke he said “rn is not forever” meaning he is looking forward to a relationship with me in the future. And also he mentioned a Monet painting at a museum and I asked if we could go together and he said he is busy with a funeral but it’s open till sep so we can maybe go.
I think for the first time I have let the 3D be and I feel good as it is right now and I know where it’s gonna go and how it’s gonna end cause I trust my 4D. We are gonna be in daily communication and I ended the conversation cause I’m actually busy with my dissertation. I have other things to focus on and stay busy and I know things will fall into place on its own.
So before the block I was trying to force things to change, I was so insecure about delayed replies, asked when but now I’ve let things be and trust it’s gonna change in its own. I am also so stern with my assumptions about the end that I’m completely untriggered by the 3D. So I think it’s perfect. I know he is the guy that cries at the altar for me. So I guess in a way the block worked as a chain of events that made me get into a better state.

Hi all, I could use some experienced perspective on manager feedback to see if I’m just too in my head or if my contributions are being overlooked.
For some background, I’m a mid-level dev (5yoe) working at a very, very large bank. I was brought onto a team about two years ago that’s rebuilding a mission critical internal tool. This internal tool was an old (15 years old?) Java app serving JSP pages that was added on to and patched a lot over its life. The end result is a Frankenstein monster that nobody really understands the full features of and there is little documentation, mostly vague requirements. Your typical “just make it work like the old one” situation.
Despite nobody on the 3 teams developing this app having any React experience at all, it came down from on high that we WOULD use React because all our development is moving to React. They moved me onto the team because I had some limited react experience.
Since then, I have: - Held several training sessions with the teams on React and Typescript - Written most of the tech designs for the React side of the application - implemented logging and telemetry on the UI side after a year of only having it for the backend, and gave a talk across our entire product group about it (seven teams) - at the request of management, re-written (solo, under tight deadline) three different features developed by the other teams that were extremely buggy, convoluted, and never worked correctly. We haven’t had an issue with them since, and this unblocked dozens of dev hours - trained and oversaw our four interns over last summer
I’ve been talking with my manager about wanting promotion from 601 (lower mid level dev) to 602 (higher mid level dev) because much of what I’m doing actually meets the job description of more senior levels (603). My manager told me that while I am hands down one of the best programmers across the three teams, my knowledge of our complex infrastructure and CI/CD wasn’t there yet. In addition, she suggested I find a “problem area” to solve, like one of our 602s that recently took charge of a database migration.
She’s absolutely right about the infra and deployment side. Our deploys require a complex series of requests, approvals with very specific info from very specific and far spread systems. Everytime I do one, I get more comfortable, but I only do one every few months so it’s hard to get practice.
What stung was her statement about finding a “problem area” like the 2 month db migration. In my mind, taking an entire half of our app (the Ui) that was in shambles, leveling up three teams, implementing the monitoring, and working the tech designs WAS finding a problem area and solving it. In a big way, often requiring long hours.
I feel that 1) they don’t really take the Ui app seriously because they’ve always worked on multi page apps and view it as glorified JSPs and 2) I’ve worked so hard to make the UI a non-pain point that they don’t even realize all the work I put in.
This is already overly long but I’m happy to clarify or provide any examples. I just need some perspective.

Edit: I also want to add that most of the complexity of our app is in the UI. Like extremely dynamic forms and screens, including many screens that are slightly but crucially different from each other. Our backend is mostly a middleware that communicates with other services handled by other teams.

• When do you usually play (include times and time zone): Most of us play after about 4-5:00PM MST on weekdays as we have day jobs, however on weekends we are usually a lot more active.
• Tell us more about your clan (ex: how many members, requirements to join if any, focus on PvE/PvP/both, why should people join your clan, how do you communicate/organize events): We are a smaller group around 6-7 active players at the moment as we've lost a couple of members to attrition, we are interested in players with any level of skill . We are ideally looking to bring in as many as we can prior to the release of the Final Shape. We have a solid group of players that regularly play through and enjoy endgame content, however we also love teaching raids, dungeons, and everything else! Most of our members don't primarily play PVP and much prefer PVE, however we will do bannetrials, etc. if there are good rewards and/or someone needs help with something. A few things that we do require below:
  • Some level of maturity. We don't have any age requirements, my Son and Daughter both play and are 16 and 18 respectively, my son has been playing with me since he was 7 , however if you do join we do ask that you maintain some level of decency and maturity while playing with the group. We are mostly adults with day jobs and lives our own and play destiny as a means of relaxing and having fun. None of us want or will tolerate drama of any kind. We do use profanity occasionally, so be advised if that is something that you are not comfortable with. We do not tolerate racism, sexism, homophobia or bigotry of any kind and any of these will result in an immediate and permanent ban.
  • In order to be invited, you MUST be active in our discord. This does not mean that you have to make a required amount of posts or anything, however you MUST have a mic. and be willing to join in the occasional raid, dungeon, seasonal activity, etc. and be willing to communicate via mic. Don't be socially anxious, we're all really nice and as "normal" as they come, promise! We also love helping and teaching newer players.
  • As stated above, we understand completely that family and life obligations will always come first. We only ask that if you will be absent for an extended period of time, just communicate with an admin and/or the main chat and let everyone know you'll be back.

I've been talking to this girl for about 2 months. We have an 8 year age difference and also live in a different state. She was pretty pushy in the beginning about wanting to meet, wanting to date and was really in to me. After a while I finally gave in and said we could meet. She I'd a college student and also works so she's busy and I understood that.
She has 1 year of college left and she said after that she wanted to move and would move to be with me if everything worked out. I had a lot of skepticism but she kept assuring me it's what she wanted and it would be okay.
About 2 weeks ago we had a misunderstanding about our level of communication and she freaked out and told me she didn't want to talk to me anymore and blocked me everywhere. About an hour later she unblocked me and told me she over reacted and was sorry. We talked it out and she assured me everything was okay. We agreed to meet in person, picked a future date and I bought a plane ticket.
The past 2 weeks she has been extremely busy with finals so we haven't gotten to talk much. I've been really supportive and patient with her. She kept apologizing for not being able to talk much, and I kept assuring her it wsd okay and I understood. She kept telling me that as soon as this semester was over she would dedicate more time to me.
Monday was her final exams. Monday night we texted a good bit and everything seemed good. We talked about our future and everything. Yesterday we didn't text much, she said she slept most of the morning then had to go to a meeting for her research project. Then I heard absolutely nothing from her for like 10 hours, which was not usual.
Early this morning she texts me to tell me we need to cut all contact, that with everything going on in her life she can't make time for me and it's not fair to me, and that I've been great and did nothing wrong. Just days ago she told me how serious she was about me.
Should have seen the red flags and trusted Mt gut, something didn't feel right since we had that argument and I knew it. People wonder why I have trust and attachment issues, well this is why, a lot of people just suck.
I messaged her back with how i felt about it, but im sure I'll never hear from her again.

I've been grappling with a complex issue that arose a few days ago. Specifically, I'm working on an adventure map, a 2D bottom-up network of interconnected nodes really, that represent the player's exploration options, past choices, and future possibilities. The map in Slay the Spire serves as a useful reference for this.
In designing the solution, I don't have the problems with: + Showing current player options. I simply connect the player node with the following nodes directly above, while the connection is an animated dashed line. + Showing past decisions. Each visited map node is specially marked while not visited ones are grayed out.
However, I struggle with properly communicating the not-yet reachable map nodes, which WILL become reachable in the following nodes.
Why is it problematic? + If I don't connect the 1+ above future layers of map nodes (representing future levels/decision moments), they seem disconnected and do not communicate that the player WILL be able to reach them. + If I connect each actual connection, given that I can move to any next-level node from each level's node, this results in myriad connections even with a simple setup of 2x nodes now and 3x nodes next. + Focusing on aesthetically displaying the connections (so only showing the connections that look nice, especially do not cross each other) results in a "lie", as I don't show the actual connections and options the player will have.
This is quite a problem, as I either don't communicate all of the actual options to the player; or I communicate them in a messy, ugly way; or I don't communicate it at all :D
I can present some screenshots, as I did not see this option in the post creator.
I'm truly grateful for any insights or suggestions you can provide to help me overcome this challenge and unblock my project.

I have a really weird issue, just to be clear I am on Windows 11, bought the game on steam and connected to my xbox acount.
I have not ben able to communicate with players at all, can't talk to them and can't hear them, they don't see the pirate chat massages (can see theirs) and the can't see my writing massages and I can't see theirs. Now in addition to all that the boat names are also censored to premade names (Black death for example). The only thing I can hear is my friends in voice chat but they can't hear me.
I am 17 and in a microsoft family but my parents do not have any restrictions. I have tried alot of things but nothing seems to change. I would love some suggestions to fixing it.

As the title goes. I use rewasd to rebind my xbox controller which I use alongside my racing wheel. Thing is, rewasd (and other similar apps like joytokey) interfere with my wheel even though I only use it for my Xbox controller. Basically, my wheel acts like the control panel is open and as such disables it's FF. In a nutshell, is there a way to disable a certain joystick within the app, that is to say to only have it interact with my Xbox controller without having my racing wheel on it's list and a such, effectively removing the interference with my wheel's force feedback. Otherwise, are there any alternatives or potential fixes? Perhaps I can remove rewasd communication with the wheel? Thank you for the help!
