2024.05.05 23:57 Metal24 Got a ticket from someone else using the same plate number i just got
Bought a harley davidson motorcycle from the dealership 2 months ago and got new plates with it. Yesterday i got a speeding ticket from a different county and when i saw the video it was from a guy driving a sport bike that clearly is not even close to my bike but he had the same plate number as mine, both from the same state (NY), but with a different color registration sticker. What should i do to fix the plate issue and avoid paying this ticket that is not mine?

Hey everybody,
Basically, as the title says, I’m having a difficult time choosing my first bike. I love the style of the Honda rebel 500 or 1100, Harley Davidson iron 883 and Indian scout bobber.
However, I sat down on a rebel and was extremely disappointed in comfort. Was watching some reviews on the Indian scout bobber and the said the same. One of the sales reps advised against the iron 883 in terms of unreliability. So I’m feeling a bit lost.
I would say about 50% of the time would be Street city riding and 50% of the time would be highway cruising 150+ miles one way.
I sat down on a Kawasaki 800 drifter and fell in love with the comfort. It was the most comfortable bike I ever sat on. the suspension, felt like air, suspension floor panel foot rests for myself and my passenger. It was truly just next level comfort that I didn’t even know existed on a motorcycle , with that said I’m not a fan of the styling it the classic Indian style wasn’t my taste. I do like Indian hence the Indian scout bobber, but I don’t particularly like the style of that 800 drifter.
So I defer to you guys and hopes that y’all can help me find some sort of in between in terms of styling and comfort. I’m not kidding when I completely shifted gears from the rebel 500 to that Kawasaki 800 drifter because of how comfortable it would’ve been.
I’m in the $5000 price range so I’m gonna buy used. I really appreciate any input that you guys would have.

Howdy! My boyfriend has a Bonneville and I'd like to surprise him with a yellow headlight for his birthday. At one point he bookmarked an "A&J Cycles Yellow Tinted Sealed H4 Headlight," but A&J let me know that they no longer sell these. They kindly linked me to an eBay post for a "7" Round Headlamp Sealed Beam for Harley Davidson by V-Twin" and I'm hoping someone here might have an idea about compatibility. Any thoughts on whether or not this might work for his bike?
I know nothing about motorcycles, so I dearly appreciate any and all thoughts on this!

Hello! I currently work in the construction industry and got a promotion to a position that makes me eligible for a vehicle allowance of $850 a month (minus taxes).
My only issue is that in order to qualify for the allowance I must own a vehicle that's 10 years or newer with less than 200k miles and a set amount of insurance coverage. I currently own and daily drive a '95 truck that is a restoration project of sorts and a '04 Harley Davidson. I have no current debt and my living expenses are reasonably low as I split rent with my girlfriend.
I don't want to put much (if any) money down as we're looking to buy a house within the next year or two but I would really love (and slightly need) a newer truck. Plus it feels like a waste if I don't utilize the allowance.
So what do you think? Should I pick up a car loan and buy a new (to me) truck?

So in 2020 my dad bought me a mobile home with his own money from his own personal bank account, with the verbal agreement that I would make monthly payments to him to pay him back over time. No written agreement or contract, nothing legally binding. Six weeks after this happened, my dad died unexpectedly from unmanaged health issues. At the time of his death, my parents (dad and step mom) technically were no longer together and my mom was already seeing someone else, but my parents still lived in the same home for the sake of my autistic brother, they just separated their finances and split living costs. BUT because legal separation isn’t a thing in my state (PA) when my dad unexpectedly died my step mom was legal next of kin and sole beneficiary to my dad’s life insurance policy. She decided I wasn’t entitled to any of that money, but she did say I could consider my house paid in full meaning she wasn’t going to require me to pay her the monthly payments I had agreed on with my dad. At the time I was just so in shock over the death and grateful that she was allowing that, but some recent issues with my step mom have me really thinking and now I’m wondering….in this scenario did she even have any legal right to the payments that my dad and I agreed I’d pay to him if she HAD decided she wanted me to continue making those payments?
ETA/Clarify: He didn’t have a will and I’m not really sure what my dad’s estate was worth and being that he died almost 4 years ago it’s probably too late anyway. He did share the house with my mom. But he had a nearly new truck fully paid off that was in his name alone, a Harley Davidson motorcycle, a classic mustang (but it was in pieces because he was going to fix it up ‘one day’) one or more bank accounts just in his name, an endless amount of ‘stuff’ in his garage (he was a bit of a packrat) so some of that may have been worth money and he had at least several hundred dollars worth of spare change he collected in jars. Idk if all of that is relevant, it’s just what I could think of that was solely his and potentially worth something. He paid the previous owner of my mobile home $14,000 cash from his personal savings account, so he owned it outright but he put it in my name as well as his….so technically we both owned it, right? Just recently my mom and I went through the process of having his name taken off so now it’s solely mine, and at no point while he was alive was it ever legally hers in any way. Anyway, I moved in in August 2020 and had only made one of our agreed upon monthly payments to my dad before he died in September 2020. If the mobile home was in my name as well as his at the time of his death, would that have meant that it then belonged to her and myself and does that mean her telling me to consider it paid in full in her eyes mean that i was being given $14,000 worth of my share of his estate or would the worth of the mobile home actually be determined by an appraiser? OR since it was in my name AND my dad’s, does that mean only half of the amount paid is legally part of my dad’s estate?
