I’m looking into purchasing a duplex and putting a 3rd unit in the basement however the support beam across the ceiling would be about 4in below the minimum requirement. Is there exceptions for this rule?
I haven’t been able to find any in the Ontario, Canada building code.

What's up, After 2 years of horrible hypogonadism I finally got put on TRT. My doc gave me HcG to keep fertility and ball size. However, I'm not sure about the dosage, because he prescribed me a 10 000 USP vial and when mixed with the 10mL bac water, it only lasts a month before having to throw it away, but he said to inject 0,3 mL / week, which would be 300 units a week, so ~1200 units a month.
I would be throwing away 8800 units of HcG a month for no reason? or did I not understand the dosage, because 300 iu a week seems very low from what I'm seeing.
For reference, I am on 160mg T enanthate split into 4x a week with insulin pins.

I, (17f) am about to be a senior in high school and I’ve kind of realized how behind I feel in life.
For background I have very strict parents, and one of them is emotionally absent (I think she’s a narcissist but we will never know) and I don’t think she likes me very much. That’s besides the point however, but she’s kind of hands off in my life not in the “I don’t care what you do” way, but in the “I don’t want you to do anything but school and home” way but she won’t help me do anything else.
My dad however he’s involved more with me and I really appreciate him, but he’s still strict in the sense that if I go somewhere he has to be the one to take me and bring me back, and I have to let him know weeks in advance. This makes it really inconvenient for me socially because we live in the middle of nowhere. Or not nowhere, but an EXTREMELY car dependent area. Like a shopping center a 10 minute drive away, but a 3 hour walk along a narrow empty road kind of nowhere. Meaning no public transport, and without him I’m physically stuck at home. (Ubers not allowed). My parents also don’t really do family bonding stuff to get new experiences. Every somewhat interesting experience I’ve had in my life thus far has come from my oldest brother and his fiance who I also consider my sister who are both twice my age. Meaning I can’t really relate to them on a personal level, but since my brother knows how my parents are he really makes and effort to be there and help me in basically everything. Like if I didn’t have him, I’d never know what an amusement park like six flags is like, I would never have been to Panera bread, I’d never see a movie, id be typing this on a leapfrog, and I’d literally never do anything. at all. That’s how mundane my parents lives are and since they’re older(60s), and come from a really rough life (they migrated here) they’re kind of content with work, home, eat, sleep, repeat. Maybe once in a blue moon go out to eat, or shop at a department store for furniture or something. My mom in particular has also kind of given up being a parent because of me and my siblings age gap, it’s like I’m a ghost to her. I do a lot of stuff myself not by choice. Like If I was told to pack only my things and go, I’d literally pack my entire room. Everything in it except for the mattress and major furniture was purchased by me, or my brother and sister (his fiance). All my shoes, 80% of my clothes, and all else have been bought by me/siblings since I was 15 i think?
I’ve never had a family trip/vacation even to like somewhere local/close. Everywhere we go has to have some sort of legitimate purpose, and when I bring this up to my parents they bring up those types of trips. “Remember when we went to Florida!” But we stayed for literally a day and a half soley for the purpose of attending my brother’s graduation when I was like 8. “Remember when we went to Canada” again for a day and a half just for some church program thing (super Christian). Again when I was like 12. I’m too young to do anything for fun in their eyes or take public transport, but I’m allowed to have my job. Even then I can’t work more than once a week because they’ll complain about having to take me and pick me up as I’m reliant on them for transportation. I’ve been pushing them to get my lisence, but they keep stalling for god knows why. And to knock this out, no they are not financially struggling. On top of that I have no family aside from them/my siblings in the US, so I literally have nobody. My brother, I love him and his help but I feel like I’m holding him back from truly being able to let them go and be free of constant contact with them for other reasons, because he still wants to be in my life and help me.
Earlier I said one of my parents is emotionally absent, it’s no secret but it’s my mom, pretty sure she hates me and I don’t know why, but I’m over it. Suddenly after I turned 11 she just has this constant need to argue with me, put me down, or literally do anything just to assume the worst of me or not be happy for me. The issue with that is, she also doesn’t DO anything. My dad does literally EVERYTHING. He cooks, he takes me to school, he picks me up, he takes me to the doctor, he goes to any ceremonies, everything. It’s so bad that some of my friends deliberately avoided bringing up mothers because they thought my dad was a single dad (my mom is hands off my life so I never bring her up and she’s never in a position to meet them). So I feel 10x guilty anytime I want to even go to the grocery store because I know it’s going to fall on my dad alone and I don’t want to make it harder for him when he does a lot already. I can’t go out with any friends, but when I want to do something alone I can’t do it because it’s suspicious that I want to do it alone. Relationships have always been out of the question, the romance isn’t worth the shit show aftermath at home. And as I get older when I see people my age driving, going out, getting piercings, dye jobs, tattoos, doing weekday shifts, relationships, it kind of hits me that I’m literally so behind and have accomplished nothing outside of academics. It’s led to “what’s the point” thoughts which I have to work through alone because just my luck in the eyes of my parents depression and sewerslidal thoughts are diseases. It’s so bad that when my mom (shocker) asked me if I was depressed a few days ago I instantly said no because I knew it was not genuine. It was 100% bait that would’ve turned into a long lecture as to why I’m wrong even though I hate to self diagnose but I honestly think I have been for a while. The constant isolation (not by choice) has gotten terrible to the point where I’m starting to hear shit and see shit when I’m alone and it’s kind of freaking me out. My one and only vice is impulsive spending online because I literally have nothing to look forward to having money for.
My brothers done so much for me. He bought me my first phone, everything. I keep telling myself to just wait until I’m 18 to live life, but I then think I’d still have missed a decent or somewhat normal high school experience. All that alone time gives me the opportunity to learn a lot of random stuff, and I always end up viewed as the “mature” or “smart-experienced-therapist-like” figure (key word figure because I’m NONE of that) in my friendships and it sucks because due to past experiences of opening up to my mom, I have trouble expressing how I feel to others. No im not mature and handling my own, I just have no idea how to talk about my issues/feelings to others in person. Like no I’m not some know it all fortune teller. Sometimes I literally just want to have someone to feel stupid with you know? Like I want to be able to leave my brain at home with someone and not feel like I’m breaking character or something. I hate being told I carry myself maturely, or I’m an old soul or down to earth by people older than me etc. I don’t want to be. I hate being looked at weird or with wide eyes when I laugh, smile, or joke because for some reason people think it’s not “like me”. I don’t even know what to do, or where to start. Everyone thinks I just have shit sorted and just make moves in silence or something when I’m literally in crisis. I feel weird to even cry, ME a 17 year old girl feels like it’s a crime to cry infront of anyone. None of my friends have ever seen me cry. And I almost did once infront of two of them because of a really bad moment of clarity that my life sucks. They just stared at me like I was some specimen because they didn’t know I was capable of crying I guess? If anyone even reads this I don’t even know what to do. I don’t even know if I make any sense. And I read this over and edited it in less detail because I think my feelings are corny and it sounds stupid and ik that’s my problem even on Reddit UGH.
And disclaimer, no I am not a danger to myself or anyone else, I’m not itching to kick the bucket it’s just a big “ugh” moment.

TLDR: D&C as a result of complete molar pregnancy and now experiencing light bleeding
Sorry for the long post. I hope you bear with me and read to the end.
My husband and I got excited that we were pregnant again and in an unusual fashion had shared with our immediate family at what would have been week 6 of the pregnancy. Fast forward a few days later and I start spotting which will stop and resume. After day 5 we decide to go to Urgent care and after waiting hours an ECHO scan revealed it was a molar pregnancy. I’d never seen a huge mass of clumps in my uterus before
I was scheduled to have a D&C the following day (May 02) and it finally got to my turn after an almost 24 hour wait. The doctor who did the procedure vaguely mentioned that my hcg levels will need to be tested weekly and I’ll get a referral before I was wheeled into the operating room and put under general anesthesia. I didn’t get to see the doctor after and the nurse who attended to me only made mention of just one blood work that I need to get done and my prescription for naproxen for pain to use as needed.
Bear in mind I’m in Canada and healthcare isn’t the greatest. Unless you’re going private you have to wait weeks or longer before you can get appointments. I got an appointment to get a post op. Hcg done may 28. In my mind I’m thinking I should be fine. I’d switched from pads to pantry liners with cleano discharge. So I’m thinking I’m good, right?
But I’ve started bleeding again (soaking through panty liners) and it’s the same brown color tinged blood that had me going to the urgent care. I’m trying not to freak out to think that maybe the mass wasn’t fully removed during the D&C or that it may have spread. I don’t have any other symptoms and I’ve booked a blood test with a private clinic to test my hcg level
Is there anyone who’s experiencing similar or has experienced something similar?

I’m in the market for a new and/or gently used car in Canada. My wife will stop working soon so we’ll be moving from two cars to one. Simple enough right? Two cars traded in for one should give a good price? Wrong!
I’m close to giving up and staying with my current car and hope it doesn’t cost too much in maintenance. Reason is the interest rates are way too high right now.
So I’m reading online some tips on getting “good” interest rates, and all of the websites (which are based in Canada) say things along the line of “Your credit score will impact what kind of rate you can get when financing a car. If you have an excellent score, you can get rates around 1-4%”
Is that so? I’ll be honest, my credit score is at 808, which is supposedly “excellent”. I’ve paid off my car quickly, financed some phones, and use my credit cards regularly for small purchases. I have never missed a payment of any kind once in my life, and all my credit cards are at 0$ by the end of the month…
But if I want to buy a Honda Civic with my supposedly “excellent” credit score, best they can do is 8%! Does this make any sense? Everywhere online it says good credit scores get good interest rates, but when I get to the dealerships it’s one interest rate flat across the board and it’s non negotiable. Nobody checks your score.
Where’s the fabled 2% interest rate I’m supposed to be getting? Does having a good credit score even matter when buying a car?

I can't be the only one on this sub traveling with little kids, so I wanted to share this recommendation because it's been GREAT. Here is my review of the RideSafer harness and the TravelSmarter booster seat combo for 1.5 bag travel. We have used this in the US & the UK, with a 5 year old.
Why did we use the RideSafer? I have numerous friends who've been burned renting a car seat (i.e. seat wasn't there when they arrived, was super dirty, was sized for an infant when they have a toddler... etc). When he was smaller, we traveled with the Cosco Scenera Next, and that seat is GREAT if you are traveling with a baby or toddler. Travel seats for preschoolers are significantly heavier and/or more complex/fiddly (e.g. the Mifold HiFold). Many 4-6 year olds aren't mature enough to use a booster alone (more info on that here: https://csftl.org/harness-or-booster). My kid is pretty good, but I don't like having to be the posture police while driving.
The RideSafer is a vest that positions the seat belt so it can safely protect kids, similar to a booster in theory but the tethe harness combo makes it easier for little kids to remain in an appropriate position at all times. It even kept my kiddo in the right position when he fell asleep. Its optional in the US, but for the UK we had to combine the harness with the company's travel backless booster seat as boosters are approved in the UK by the RideSafer is not when used alone. This has the added benefit of lifting my kid a little so he can see out the car window. The harness is very easy to move between vehicles, and would be useful if you take ubers/taxis (have moved a giant Britax into an Uber - not ideal. )
For travel, the vest packs small enough to fit in a suitcase (you can't use the RideSafer on the plane. ) The booster comes with a little backpack - we used it as my kid's carry-on and put both the booster and the harness inside. They're extremely light and met IcelandAir carry-on requirements. I suppose you could check the backpack, but this is a one bag sub and either way, I avoid checking car seats after Iberia lost my stroller years ago - they returned it eventually but it was pretty beat up!
Here is the best feature for my family. My kiddo gets motion sickness. We were driving on a tiny Scottish road and he unfortunately barfed all over the harness and booster. I have had to clean car seats in hotel bathrooms under similar circumstances - it is awful, there are a zillion pieces, some of them don't come off for easy washing, they have tiny crevices you need to clean out with toothpicks. With the RideSafer, I was able to soak the whole harness and the boosters cover in the bathtub with mild soapy water, rinse well, hang to dry, and everything was in perfect condition + totally dry within 24h.
I know I sound like an ad for the RideSafer, so some cons. There is a learning curve to using the harness. In some countries, this thing isn't approved alone (so must be paired with a booster) or at all. It's not approved for use on planes. It's expensive. Some kids could DEFINITELY unhook this thing from the seat belt - my kid doesn't do this, but if your child likes to unbuckle their car seat while you're driving, this isn't for you. Sizing is confusing - my husband had to call the company we purchased from to confirm. There are many random kids seat belt harness dupes online - especially on Amazon and they are generally NOT safe to use.
In summary, I think this is a great option for traveling light with kids - especially if you're in the US or Canada where you can use the harness alone. We'll also use it at home as a backup seat when friends visit and need to ride in our car. Hope this is helpful to other parents on this sub!

Hey everyone , I know that arma reforger technically is a road map to arma 4 , but seeing as how arma 4 will be basically the same to similar era , why not release reforger as its own title having 2 arma titles by that time on Xbox. With that said a suggestion with doing so for reforger would be to take the campaign and scenarios and base content from ARMA 2 and 3 and the DLCs adding them to reforger console adding a full controller layout for infantry,equipment and vehicles (IT IS DOABLE BOHEMIA LIES WHEN DENYING CAPABILITIES ). Create a seperate section in reforger for modern in the form of ( Campaigns,Scenarios, Multiplayer,EditoGameMaster) So people like me and so many others that I do know would appreciate some MODERN ERA CONTENT on console so we can enjoy some of the content from arma 2 and 3 seeing as how they refuse to put in a basic controller layout for infantry/equipmemt/vehicles. With Arma 4 coming out at somepoint seriously though how would it hurt to release reforger as its own game giving console players opportunity to experience modern campaigns and such mind you with already paid for forger i would seriously purchase all DLCs with campaigns and scenarios and content useable in gamemaster editor (as well add an eden portion with triggers and a list of placeable objectives etc..) , theres no harm in doing that everything needed is already created some adjustments and minor additions which takes time i get that , but it also would boost profits and popularity to. Depending on mods for modern content is fine but lets face it not everyone is privledged to play without mod/server issues, The DLCs and such im suggesting for purchase in the microsoft xbox store and any base content from arma 2 and 3 that could be added just as that to include a modern section to arma reforger....
