2023.03.22 08:29 CookieCupcakeee My Thasmin Obsession

In 2022 I shipped Thasmin, but the illness grew and grew. Soon every woman I looked at looked like Jodie Whittaker, and I would imagine her being with Yaz, I recorded myself replaying Power of the Doctor, and illegaly downloaded Eve of the Daleks and went back through the recordings and found all the scenes where Yaz and Thirteen have "moments". I compiled these all into a cd and labeled it as "proof". i would spend hours every day looking at the same fan drawn art on twitter that shipped thasmin and my obsession grew more and more. I re watched every scene of the show where it was hinted they liked each other and rewatched them. i would look up rule 34 of thasmin and pretended every single picture that had thirteen and someone else didn't exist. I got into a fight with someone on the internet about whether The Doctor liked Rose more or Yaz, and everybody in the thread said Rose. I almost killed myself that night.
Eventually I stopped going to school pretending to be sick (I was 17) and didn't go for 2 weeks just so I could ship Thirteen and Yaz and read every fanfiction and view every fanart. My parents discovered my gigabites of files on Yasmin and Thirteen when I went to the bathroom (the only time I left my room) and threatened to break my computer. I threw my mom and stopped myself from hitting her with my belt. I clung to my computer and screamed and they called the police where I was taken away and hospitalised for a month.
This went on for 5 months, and I stopped going to school 2 weeks before the fiasco. It started getting really bad the last 2 months. I had to retake all my state tests (finals) again in January because I couldn’t take the tests. I was removed from the national honour society after all of this.

Can't get passed the last prologue mission due to a bug
Title says it, in the cutscene after Yaz takes off in my car, the game then goes to a loading screen and takes longer than it should. After that, I'm supposed to get the next cutscene, but instead the game takes me to this screen EVERYTIME. I can't even play any further in the story because of this. I've tried everything to solve this problem, restarted my game application, console, 5 TIMES and had to keep on replaying the same race and then that police chase in the car I'm supposed to be delivering to Alec over and over only to get the same result. I'm playing on PS5 btw. This happening to anyone else? Any fix? I spent fucking $70 on this game. EA FIX THIS SHIT ASAP. Sorry for the rant

2022.01.05 10:54 DJPumpkin333 Road to Pure Giants Lineup (Progress Update 2)

I know it's been a couple of weeks since I made an update and the reason for that is my last two club crafts:
Craft 2: Brandon Crawford '16
Craft 3: Brandon Crawford '21
My first club craft netted me a '19 Longoria, his best OVR year for the Giants but my next two were not so lucky. I already have '16 Crawford as a signature from the glitch compensation and '21 Crawford is his best OVR and hitting stat year so unlucky dupes for last month. My next CC pack is coming up in ~6 days and I'm hoping for at least a dupe of a different card literally a dupe for any card other than Crawford I'm sick of seeing his face lmao.

This is my current lineup for this progress update.
Changes to Lineup:
Starting Pitchers
'20 Bauer (Gold) -> '18 Sale (Diamond)
'14 Kershaw (Gold) -> '16 Cueto (Diamond)
Relief Pitchers
'17 Hand (Gold) -> '17 Crick (Diamond)
'14 Petit (Gold) -> '18 Smith (Diamond)
Outfield
'16 AS Harper (Gold) -> Adam Jones '16 (Diamond)
DH
'16 AS Cabrera (Gold) -> P Pujols '06 (Gold)
1st Base
'17 Votto (Gold) -> '20 Smith (Diamond)
Bench
'16 Correa (Gold) -> '17 Votto (Gold)

I've fully upgraded my pitching rotation to diamond since the last post. I grabbed Cueto from my wish pack (don't judge me too harshly) nabbed Smith from my first ever FA (I am very unlucky) grabbed Krick from the free TSD from the update. The only benched diamond Giants pitchers I have are these two. '19 Rodriguez and '19 Webb which are unfortunately the worst possible years for these two players (also was just real lucky and got Rodriguez from a shuffle). I figured upgrading to Giants C wouldn't increase my OVR enough with these two cards until I can train them up, though they may still be unusable.

Cards in Storage
Brandon Belt '20 (Gold)
Buster Posey '12 (Gold)
Pablo Sandoval Prime '09 (Gold)
Mike Yastrzemski '20 (Silver)
Kris Bryant '21 (Silver)

Clearly I have a ways to go before a S/S Diamond/Giants team but we're grinding it out. I'm playing through 2035 regular mode right now and depending on how the season goes I'll either try for ML or just replay through normal for a while. My highest priority is replacing my MauePujols/Votto to achieve Diamond S. I don't have any usable diamond players to replace them with for now so my next craft will once again be going to batters. The free GI comes soon and I'll be using it either on Sandoval or Posey (I want to see if Com2Us ever gets Posey back in the game in the future). I'm hesitant to use the GI on Panda since I DO already have a diamond card for him and he's still in the game as of now so I can potentially still get his diamond card. I'm holding on to it for now and just training it. So far I think his train is pretty good he just doesn't have good enough stats to be my DH since I have Pujols. I did get a random gold Belt '20 which seems to be his most well rounded hitting stats ('19 is 72/70/74 '20 is 75/75/73 and '21 is 70/79/65). I unfortunately have not seen a Belt in any diamond form in this game yet and could really use him to replace Pujols. As it stands if I can train them up since Pujols is already a Gold card Posey or Belt could potentially replace him in the lineup until I can get a diamond card to fill the DH/bench spot. Still looking for a Yaz and a Bryant as well.

Other than that not much progress has happened. At this point I'm mostly just waiting for club crafts since getting back to back Crawfords has made me severely upset and has stopped me from grinding the game as much. As it stands I have 4 Giant Pitchers (with 2 more potentially who aren't great but are diamond Giants) and 5 Giant Batters (no diamond backups). Since my pitching rotation is full diamond I'll be crafting Batter packs until I can fill in the last 3 gold spots on my team.

Last Note:
The new weekly achievement thing is coming up tomorrow/in 12 hours (Lmao I have a bad sleep schedule) and these are my rewards from the previous two weeks.
Week 1: Grabbed Pujols
Week 2: Grabbed the SSCT
I'm not too worried about my pitching lineup as the only chase cards I have are Gausman, Cain, Petit, and Romo (I only have gold or lower cards for the latter 3) whereas I'm in need of many different Giants batter cards.

2021.05.22 09:32 maestrolive Camp Cretaceous Season 3: My Personal Thoughts (spoilers)

Seriously, what an awesome season! With the new scorpius, I know many people hate the design but I think it’s brilliant and really adds to the horror aspect they were going for! It’s human-like traits made it horrifying, almost appearing to be a nod to the original Jurassic Park IV script.
In connecting to the first movie, the scenes in the visitor center were absolutely well-done and it was great seeing the place actually be of use to the group. While the first episode there was enjoyable, the return to the kitchen really made the episode stand out in my opinion. Unlike Maisie’s slightly cringy escape callback through the dumbwaiter in Fallen Kingdom, CC Season 3 managed to do it properly while making it something completely new and refreshing at the same time. Definite props to the story team on this, it makes up for the t-rex skull still being intact even after the Indominus crushed it in JW (minor nitpick lol).
Another thing I was surprised to see was just how far they took Sammy’s character in regards to being on the brink of death. Heck what she went through was worse than death in my mind. Even the conversation between Kenji and Brooklyn about her potentially passing was both unexpected for a kids show but very realistic at the same time. I thought they carried this part out really well and was just overall surprised they would even write such a harrowing plot in while getting it approved.
With characters, I believe they highlighted each individual’s personality really well this season. While Yaz and Sammy came to appreciate their friendship more and while Darius and Ben did have a really solid conclusion to their relationship arc post-monorail, Kenji’s development stood out the most to me. We witnessed him this entire season going from completely incapable, to proving himself, to rediscovering himself, and to caring more about the overall safety and happiness of the group in the final episode. His last line to Darius really stood out, in most ways him being right. I really hope the next season, assuming we get one, continues from where he left off and we get to witness more growth from his character. We still have an incomplete (albeit better now) view of his relationship with his family, and clearly he has more to offer. Loved his character this season. Oh, and somehow I finally can’t hate Sammy’s character! They really did make everyone matter this season.
Now the Fallen Kingdom connection, holy cow for me it was brilliant! I seriously couldn’t believe myself when I heard those lines and saw the rex heading their way—I replayed that scene at least 3 times to make sure I wasn’t seeing it all wrong! I loved every bit of the extended scene and it’s broader context with Wu.
We even might have gotten to see some Wu character development (albeit microscopically) this season through his conversations with Brooklyn, enough to where he discouraged the remaining mercenary from harming the group before leaving. Perhaps this affected some of his decisions leading to the main story of Fallen Kingdom.
I caught two, potentially three novel references:
  1. The online conspiracy theory on Hammond’s death which intentionally mirrors his death in the first book
  2. A copy of what appears to be Jurassic Park appears on a desk in Kenji’s penthouse
  3. While I’m uncertain, it seems like the ending to the final episode might lead to an homage with compies breaking onto the mainland of Costa Rica as in the first novel...assuming that’s what’s on board and they don’t end up drifting back to Nublar—or Sorna.
Theories from here are beyond plentiful, but just to name a few... 1. I have a strong feeling if the kids get off island with the flash drive, we will see the deleted scene from Fallen Kingdom where Wu was supposed to have his credentials revoked. It would be great if we can receive at least some positive consequences from the group’s actions, and this could be a good one.
  1. Part of me wants to say we may get a novel callback with the kids bringing compies to Costa Rica, but in the event the mosasaurus/pteranodon/weather ends up turning them around, there’s a good chance we may get the answers we’ve been looking for with the fate of Isla Sorna (I’m not too sure how canon the JW sites are now that they are down)
  2. We never really found out who that new drone belonged to this season, but it was definitely someone nearby and likely another belonging to Mantahcorp if it’s the same model from S1. Of course it could be Wu’s, but assuming it isn’t then someone else is aware of what Wu had been working on and that right there may be our tie into Dominion. We still need some more backstory though before concluding any.
  3. With JWFK’s opening finished, there’s only two things left on Nublar to cover: the re-arrival of humans on the island to set up new fences and security (as seen by the DPG when they arrive back), and very early signs of volcanic activity. Maybe we will witness some of this.
  4. If this show goes on for long enough, or we even get a flashforward when the group is back in the States, even then there’s perfect room for story that Battle At Big Rock easily set up. It’s clear from this season that they will want to try and meet back up for a reunion of sorts after a while apart, and what better way to keep the name “Camp Cretaceous” by having them set up camp and become the short film’s incident from “up north” that is heard on radio. But this is going far far ahead.
Well with that I can beyond a doubt say this was my favorite season thus far! There were of course multiple detractions as well (it’s a kids show after all) but they are barely noticeable in the grand scheme of things. I just really love how much it improved from last season, especially with the suspension of disbelief going down to a more reasonable level. You can tell the writers and animators are true fans to all of Jurassic Park with what they have been accomplishing here. Really hoping we get that fourth season out, as long as the views are going well.

2020.07.19 05:45 Danny10477 Memories of the Lost - A DW Fan Fiction

👇 Author's Note 👇
So I wanted to write something - but I didn't know what I wanted to write. I had some ideas, but I wanted to keep to a simple heartfelt story.
I've never really written a story for Ryan, so I decided to throw myself in. I like this premise, but I'm not entirely sure characterisation is great...
Anyway, this essentially takes place just before Ryan and Yaz have their heart-to-heart in 'Can You Hear Me?', so it follows the theme of Ryan wanting to leave
👇 Story 👇
Ryan was the first to arrive in the TARDIS that stood tall on the corner of Park Hill’s flats. The sky above was filled with greying clouds, while the beautiful shimmer of the sun just about broke through to illuminate the world. The world was quiet, there were barely any cars, nor any trams, except the timid quietness of the world was none of Ryan’s concern.
He pushed the door of the TARDIS open, it’s elegant orange glimmer falling over him as he did so. His eyes embraced the vastness for a moment, still finding himself taken aback by the sheer size. In fact, he still felt a strange sensation of stepping between dimensions, though he quite never understood why he felt it.
Hunched over the console was the Doctor. She was quiet and concentrating hard, her eyes hesitating the urge to move as she saw Ryan appear in the corner of her eyes. She paused as she analysed the readings. Her ears ignored the approaching footsteps of Ryan and a distant beeping of a microwave (which had been wired up to a strange gadget of sorts).
Ryan peered over to the amalgamation of cables and machinery, before following a cable which led towards the beeping microwave. He stared at it curiously, watching flickering lights and buttons calling his urge to press them. As he glanced over to the Doctor, he now noticed the apron she had thrown over herself and the goggles strapped to the top of her head.
“Doctor?” He broke the silence between the pair for a moment as he steadily approached her. He glanced over, watching the array of blue Gallifreyan symbols fly past on the metal part of the console – though he had no clue what the Doctor was learning from it. The Doctor didn’t reply. “Doctor!” He called out again, louder and more abrupt this time.
He watched as the Doctor sighed angrily as she looked up to him. Now watching as Ryan stood before her, she sighed heavily. She was agitated, annoyed by his interruption.
“What are you doing?” He asked, finally realising that the Doctor’s frustration was due to his interruption. The Doctor sighed as she pulled the goggles from her head and rested them on the TARDIS console for a moment. Leaning against the edge of the console, her eyes caught Ryan’s once again. She sighed again.
Ryan, however, also showed his impatience as he frowned at the Doctor’s hesitance – which quickly prompted her to push herself to her legs. Gesturing for him to follow for a moment, she wandered towards the large mess of machinery and cables, before pulling open the microwave. Inside was a bag of popcorn, to which she promptly opened and started snacking on.
“I’m trying to track my past.” She started nervously and vaguely, glancing up to Ryan as she did so. There were very few times she realised that Ryan was taller than her, mostly because she’d spent most her life the same height as most men and now, in this incarnation, she was much smaller than most. Ryan looked at the Doctor confused for a moment, not entirely understanding what she meant. “When we were in Gloucester and I found out Ruth might have been me? Since then I’ve been trying to understand where she fits in… when was she me… or was I her?” The Doctor posed, before putting the bag of popcorn down.
“What’s the popcorn for?” Ryan asked, following her few footsteps as she hurried towards the machinery. She glanced back with a childish grin, an expression that filled her face a lot in time she attempted to break tension with humour.
“I just really fancied popcorn – plus a machine like this outputs an excess of electrical energy, so I thought I’d put it to good use. It was either make some popcorn or reboot an old robot I had somewhere – at least I think that’s still here…” She muttered, her mind now racing through her memories of the robots she’d brought into the TARDIS and lost in the depths of its other rooms.
“But I don’t understand – how can you not remember if she was you?” Ryan wondered, peering over the Doctor’s shoulder as she fiddled with some buttons and dials. Her face was filled with a slight expression of panic as she considered the question, though she knew to hide it as she focused back on the machine.
“I don’t know…” While her answer was nothing but the truth, she had her suspicions. In her history with the Time Lords, she knew they were a cowardly and cruel bunch. She’d seen enough in the Time War to know that, when they were pushed, they were heartless. Those in charge, like Omega and Rassillon and any of those in charge of armies, were ready to destroy anything that stood in the way of Time Lord society.
It wasn’t unreasonable, to the Doctor at least, to consider them an option. Except, even when she suspected them, that they had some evil-doing, she couldn’t be sure at all. There was too much obscurity in the situation and she held out hope that they had kept their hands away from her memories…
“But!” The Doctor declared as she finished fiddling with the machinery, stumbling back with a large grin painted across her face. “It should start to work in…” Her voice trailed off as she anticipated something. Within a few seconds, the microwave began to beep, before a timer appeared to start counting down. It started at 15 seconds, before ticking down.
“What’s it doing?” Ryan asked nervously, he turned around to the Doctor nervously, who shut her eyes. She took a deep breath and Ryan’s memory was jolted back to the first time they met, in a cold October night, before a few days later he was teleported to the depths of the void of space in a similar moment to this. “Doctor! What’s it doing?” He shouted, now feeling the panic consume him more.
“We’re about to be sucked into a memory – be careful! Deep breath!” The Doctor shouted before they both took a depth breath at the same time, with Ryan now trusting the Doctor’s judgements more than he did then. Seeing nothing but the darkness of his shut eyelids for a moment, Ryan felt the Doctor reach for his hand. She gripped on for reassurance, now hearing the microwave reaching closer to its final sound.
The pair of them felt a surge of energy overcome them, and they could feel that they had been moved somewhere. Around them was a burst of light, before a strange sensation filled them. A piercing pain numbed in the corner of Ryan’s mind, and as he went to bellow in pain, he watched as they appeared in a house.
The walls were plastered with nice striped wallpaper, complimenting the brown wood panelling that was plastered along the walls. Photographs of Ryan and his mum and dad and other family members were hung around the room, while other decorations filled the room too.
Namely, however, was a certificate that was framed and shelved for any guests to see. It belonged to Ryan, congratulating him on coming third in his school’s race. He could remember when it happened when he came third and he was awarded for it. At the time, Ryan was only seven, but it was a feat for him that he’d held close to his heart even after all these years.
It hit him, as he steadily approached the certificate, that they had seemingly travelled back in time since he now found himself in his parent's house from little over a decade ago. It provoked a strange feeling in him, a mixture of nostalgia and reality as he felt the world morph around him.
“Huh, strange…” The Doctor commented recognising the living room. Her mind was cast back to her first night in this body and while much of it was a post-regeneration fog, she could recall this room. She’d shocked herself and gone on a tangent about DNA bombs – or was it the other way round? She wasn’t entirely sure. “Why would I have been here?”
“This is my nan’s house…” Ryan muttered as he stared at the certificate. He was cautious for a moment, ignoring the memories of his nan’s death which tried to seep into his mind. “Why are we here?” Ryan’s voice was still quiet as he glanced around, noticing that the room was old, and its decoration was different from what it was in 2018.
“It didn’t look like this when I-” The Doctor caught herself off guard as she peered around the room. Her face expressed her sudden realisation that had hit her halfway through what she was saying. She glanced toward’s Ryan, now noticing pictures of his dad and him. “We must’ve ended up in your memory-stream…”
The Doctor wasn’t given time to consider what that meant, though she could only suspect it would trigger some danger. The machine she had made was specialised for Time Lord memory and for it to be connected to Ryan must’ve presented some dangers.
Though the Doctor and Ryan could hear an approaching pair of distant voices coming from the corridor. Ryan turned to the Doctor, panicked slightly by the fact that he expected to erupt some confusion in the people coming in. Although, as the footsteps reached the living, Ryan watched as his mum and Grace wandered in.
He went unnoticed by Grace and his mum, who continued their muffled conversation before sitting down on the sofa beside one another. The pair both held onto mugs of freshly made teas, which steamed gently as they placed them down. They smiled at one another as they talked, discussing work and Ryan and their husbands.
There was a radiance of warmth and happiness, a glow of joy and goodness. Even the Doctor, who never knew Ryan’s mum and had only met Grace for the duration of one evening, could feel the goodness. There was something in their eyes and their smiles that carried the essence of goodness.
Despite the resonating joy instilled in Ryan to see his mother once more, he felt an overwhelming sense of grief. It pained him slightly, seeing his mother alive and well. He felt a sense of guilt as the passing memory of finding her ran through his mind. It was a memory replaying through his mind, feeling that fear and uselessness… feeling that loss of control and the grief…
He remembered Grace’s death too, recalling hurrying towards her body as it faded of life as Graham held onto her. He remembered the coldness, the sadness and the fear. As his eyes focused back to Grace, he could feel the world tremble around him – the Doctor turned to him, panicked for a moment.
“No, no! Ryan!” She shouted, hurrying towards him. Her hands clutched onto his arms as he started to feel the piercing agony surge through his skull again. “We’re embedded in your memories, the technology isn’t designed for the level of emotion that Humans feel…”
Her attempts to calm Ryan were futile, however, and he let out an agonised scream before he found himself stood in the crane yard. It was a dark September night. It was damp and miserable and the air was filled with a terrifying sadness. The Doctor and Ryan could hear Grace’s scream as she was jolted from the crane. Graham hurried towards her.
Ryan turned around to the Doctor, his eyes filled with a pained sadness. “I – I don’t wanna see this again… please, Doctor, make it stop!” He was almost pleading with the Doctor, who could now see the pain run through him. She’d seen friends die before and was made to relive those deaths a couple of times after. When Clara returned her memories, her former body relived every single one, even up until her death.
She knew the grief – she knew that the inability to change the events it in a memory hurt even more, especially as you become more aware of the what-ifs.
Ryan focused away from Grace, he tried to dig deep into his memories, searching for memories that weren’t so painful. He tried to remember his mum and Grace smiling, or his seventh birthday. He remembered sitting beside Rosa Parks outside her home, or when he and Ryan found revenge for Grace.
Though he quickly learnt that grief was an emotion more powerful than most. He shut his eyes, still fighting the memory, trying to replace it – though the world didn’t seem to change.
The Doctor watched as Ryan and Yaz and her former self hurried towards Grace, she watched with pity the second time as Grace’s life left her body. She shut her eyes too, though she did so to remember Grace – the joy she brought just in those few hours – and the stories Graham and Ryan had told.
Ryan let out another agonised scream and he was jolted backwards, he stumbled towards the floor, before phasing through a table. And falling against the floor. He felt the pain erupt through him, but he found himself now laying in Grace’s house.
Pushing himself up through the table, phasing through it as he did so, his eyes fell upon his mum and Grace. They smiled and laughed and chatted for a moment, and all the pain and grief that pulsated through Ryan’s mind moments before appeared to dissipate. Now stood before him were two rays of joy and life.
“Ryan, look at what your nan’s brought over.” His mum called out, before peering over the room. Ryan and the Doctor followed their eyes, now watching as Ryan’s younger self hurried over. It seemed he was eight or nine and his face beamed with a smile as he looked up to his nan – just as he always had looked to her.
In his mum’s hand was a small paper bag, it was crumpled and weathered, though to Ryan it was a present of unlimited potential. As he took the bag and smiled gratefully to his nan, he opened his, before retrieving a small statue. It was a statue of a Queen's guard – it stood up tall, it’s red outfit was freshly painted and its black helmet was designed with small bumps to replicate the head.
Ryan looked up and smiled, trying to hide his slight disappointment as he did so. Grace smiled back and leaned forward, holding his hands gently as she did so.
“I want you to keep this.” She said, staring into his eyes with a warm seriousness. “I think one day, you will see these guards in person, and then you will travel further. Further out into the world and, when you do, I want you to keep a collection of small trinkets, bits and pieces.”
The Doctor and Ryan watched quietly, though as Grace finished speaking, the memory subsided. The room faded away and they both stood in a white plane of existence. It was quiet and filled with nothingness, except a feeling that there was stuff around them.
The Doctor approached Ryan cautiously, knowing how fragile this situation could be. She looked up at him with a gentle smile and held his arm. She wondered why this memory, why had the machine chose this point in his life.
Her question was answered since Ryan had asked himself the same question. His hand reached into his pocket, revealing the small Queen’s guard. He’d kept it on him since his first time returning home. It was chipped and damaged slightly, but it was mostly intact.
“I thought, since it was something small, I could keep it with me.” He smiled as he looked at the Doctor, who understood the sentiment – she’d spent 100 years on Earth with photographs and old sonics on her desk, souvenirs and keeping close to former selves was something she had grown to understand all too well.
“Do you miss them, your mum and nan?” The Doctor asked, surprising even herself as she spoke to Ryan without any level of social anxiety and awkwardness seep into her mind.
“Of course… I feel like I shouldn’t though. Like every moment I do miss them, I’m missing out on life – which feels like I’m taking life for granted, while they’re somewhere else, never able to take life for granted again.” He spoke fast as he tried to explain his thoughts as they crashed through his mind. “My mum and nan never took life for granted, they always took hold of life and embraced it… but I don’t feel like I’m doing that.”
It was here, as the Doctor stared up at Ryan, that she could feel the social awkwardness collapse onto her, as she struggled to find the words that could express her empathy. She held his hand for a moment and smiled.
“We’re defined by who we lose. Every loss changes us, and it makes us see the world in a different wayp.” She explained, before putting her hands on the temples of Ryan’s head. She shut her eyes and rummaged through her memories, before passing over a memory to him.
The white nothingness around them morphed and changed shape. Ryan looked around, ignoring the small piercing pain for a moment as he watched the world morphed around them. Now he stood in an old wooden house, it was warmed with a gentle orange glow and stood around the room were civilians – farmers almost, clutching onto long guns which held a small light at the handle. They stared anxiously outside the window, all while two people and a metal creature stood in the centre of the room.
A bald man, dressed in a checkered coat and a pair of glasses was mid-way through arguing with a Scotsman – who was old and white, scarred slightly and holding a large wooden stick to aid his limp. Stood beside the man was a metal creature, though Ryan didn’t understand what it was.
Ryan turned to the Doctor, confused for a moment as he watched the argument unfold.
“That’s me.” The Doctor commented, gesturing her head to the tall man. Ryan glanced over, confused for a moment with a slight smirk. “And these were my friends – Nardole and Bill – though Bill was turned into a Cyberman…” She felt a slither of grief and pain run through her for a moment as she remembered the moment. She watched as her former self had made a good point, on how he could never stay with the humans, but Nardole could.
“Why are we here?” Ryan asked, interrupting the silence as Nardole was struck as speechless for a moment. The Doctor sighed gently to herself, now coming to terms with what being here meant… how it shaped her slightly.
“When I lost Nardole, I lost the one thing keeping me close to somebody I once loved. Nardole was a friend to me, a best friend, and I thought to myself I’d never have a friend again – at this point I thought I’d never be alive after.” Her voice was quiet, watching as Nardole came to terms with the fact he was leaving alone. He now nodded his head to the Doctor, before saying goodbye to Bill. “I learnt a lot from them… I lived…”
The Doctor could feel heartbreak repeat itself as Nardole turned around and wandered out into the corridor. He glanced back and delivered his final words to the Doctor.
“I’ve lived a long life, Ryan, and if there’s one thing I’ve learnt – its that people define us.” She turned around and held Ryan’s hand for a moment. The memory dissipated from around them, leaving them in the white void. “Grief will follow us throughout life and we will always feel guilty for living while those we lost didn’t. But, those who leave us – those we lose – want nothing more for us than to live.”
Ryan frowned unconvinced for a moment. He could see the passion in the Doctor’s eyes, but he couldn’t help but recognise the seeping guilt pass through his mind.
“We travel with you throughout the entire universe, but we’re leaving so much behind… I don’t want to lose anybody else…” He commented, sighing as he did so. The Doctor felt an ache in her heart as she looked up to Ryan… her mind cast back to all those friends she’d lost as they turned away from her. All those friends that chose normality over her – and while she understood it and respected it, there was no doubt it pained her.
“That door is always open, you can leave whenever you want – but I see potential in you, Ryan. Just like Grace did and just like Graham does, there’s a warmth in you… a goodness and an ability to learn. One day, I truly believe you will change the world and help those you love – but that doesn’t mean it will happen with me…”
She put her hands on his head again, though the memories passed over hadn’t caused such a piercing pain this time. The void didn’t change either, but around them appeared people, some faces he’d seen and others he hadn’t.
“Nardole kept a file for me, where he kept track of all my friends. He thought I never looked at it, but I had a lot of free time as a professor with a time machine.” She smiled as she looked around the different faces. “There’s Ace, who we met, who runs a charity. Sarah Jane here saves the world in her attic in Ealing – Captain Jack, even, saved Cardiff underneath a rift in time and space…” She smiled, seeing her Martha Jones, or Nyssa and Tegan, or even Dodo.
She felt a warmth in her heart before she glanced over to Ryan, who looked around amazed.
“You travelled with all these people?”
“And more!” She instinctively replied, smirking as she did so. The projection of people hadn’t shown people who had died, like River or Jamie or Adric – because Nardole had no reason keeping track of them. “But the point is, I chose you to travel with me for a reason.”
“We chose to travel with you,” Ryan replied, smirking as he corrected her.
“Me and the TARDIS argued over the same thing once…” Her face filled with a slight smile as the memory passed through her mind for a moment before she looked back to Ryan. “I have faith in you, Ryan.”
A loud whirring filled the world around them and they were transported out from the memory machine. The world around them erupted with a loud whirring and, under a flash of blue light. They were transported back to the TARDIS, while an orange glow overcame their faces.
Ryan watched as the Doctor dismantled the machine, now deciding that she’d give it another try another day. Although, as he watched her do so, he felt some pride in himself, a hope that he could prosper in life.

2020.07.10 09:01 eggylettuce Three Ways To Bring The Sontarans Back! - Eggy Ideas

Here are just three ideas I had which I originally posted onto my vaguely Doctor Who themed blog. If you are interested in reading it on there then click here. If not, read below!
Good day readers, after rediscovering a streak of creativity in me amid the Lockdown of 2020 I have decided to post some ideas I have had for episodes of one of my favourite shows; Doctor Who. This series will be semi-irregular, you might see a couple pop up in a short space of time, or none for ages – who knows? Either way, expect a wide variety of post styles, from ones like this where I break down some episode concepts I had, or full series plans. All the artwork included in today’s post is my own, as are the ideas unless specified otherwise. Enjoy.
So, the Sontarans.
They are one of the “big five” from Classic Who; you’ve got the Daleks, the Cybermen, The Master, the Silurians, and then these potato-heads. All five from this selection have been brought back in some capacity since the show was revived in 2005, but I don’t think i’d be alone in saying that its only really the first three who have had proper justice on screen. The Sontarans first reappeared in The Sontaran Stratagem, and in said S4 two-parter they are treated as a powerful threat, but there are quite a few other issues with the story, and by this point in the RTD Era Earth invasions really were getting trite. As stated in my review of said episodes, they have never really been my favourites, but that did not mean that I never wanted to see the Sontarans again for the next 12 years. Since 2008, the Sontarans have been relegated to cameos in The Pandorica Opens or as Strax (Dan Starkey), a comic-relief character who is partly responsible for reducing what is supposed to be a formidable foe to an embarrassment.
And so those two points there are why I want to bring the Sontarans back; to do something creative with them, be that setting or core-theme, and to bring back their fear factor. How does one achieve that? Well, possibly by following these three story suggestions:

Posters for each episode

For The Glory Of War!
The Rutans, arch-nemesis of the Sontarans, have only ever appeared once, in the 1977 serial Horror of Fang Rock, and even then its only one Scout which resembles a slimy green jellyfish. The main gimmick of the Rutans is that they can infiltrate societies by metamorphosing into a different species, they are shape-shifters, if you will, and thus ripe for an episode involving spies and covert operations. In For The Glory Of War!, The Doctor receives a transmission from a resistance group out their in the cosmos: “Corium is on Planet X, this is our only chance to stop the war” – this takes her across the galaxy to a Clone World somewhere in the Mutter’s Spiral; its barren, mostly irradiated, but certain sections of it are neon-green and used for the growing of fresh troopers. This story is set towards the end of the Rutan-Sontaran War, with the enemy seemingly retreating to the edges of the galaxy in fringe groups. To provide further context, let it be known that Sontarans live for the joy of battle, and the Rutan Horde supposedly started the conflict god-knows-when because they were bored. These two classic ideas are at the core of this episode concept, which will focus primarily on the pointlessness and cyclical nature of war itself.
Led by Space Marshall Corium (latin for hide“) who has established a forward base on this barren planet, the Sontarans are readying for a final push into new galactic territory to finish off their foe, but little do they know their leader is actually a Rutan Host in disguise – big shock, bet you didn’t see that coming. This reveal would come towards the end of the story (be it a two-parter or otherwise) after The Doctor and a selection of resistance fighters infiltrate sections of the clone facility and then the military base to reach Corium: The Doctor has her own non-violent ideas for dealing with the big boss, while the others just want to straight-up shoot him. Their journey across the planet will take them through a variety of locations, all with the intention of showcasing aspects of Sontaran culture not typically showcased; training grounds for fresh clones, recreation rooms with battle-simulations, and the upper echelons of Sontaran society where the big-wigs plan the next move. All these locations are shown to us while the main cast get into occasional scuffles with Sontaran Troopers and Field Major Klaashe, always desperate to stay hidden with a variety of gadgets.
In an attempt to form some kind of commentary on the real-life modern machine of war, the reveal that Corium is actually the enemy in disguise who has been controlling the Sontaran war effort for decades will come as no surprise to other high-ranking Sontaran members, all of which adorned with medals and the like. In a deal with similarly ranked individuals of Rutan society, the two upper-classes agreed to continue the war for as long as possible, not only to further both economies, but because it has been the only lifestyle they have ever known, and the prospect of changing is unheard-of. As such, the notion that the Rutan Horde are on their last-legs is entirely orchestrated to match the ebb-and-flow of a genuine war, the Sontarans are planned to be in a weaker position for the next few decades, and so on. The story’s climax will follow as Corium is assassinated, the Sontaran upper class are all torched in their tower (with The Doctor being against this mind you), and the resistance fighters killing themselves in the process. With their ruling elite gone, Field Major Klaashe rises to the challenge, and leads the armies against the Rutan Horde, changing absolutely nothing. Thus proving war is a game, and even taking out the top dogs in a society so used to conflict, nothing will be averted. Quite a solemn hard-hitting episode I imagine, or at least the idea I have for it is – a real commentary on the American industrial military complex. Its about time the show stopped pulling its political punches, although lets at least try to avoid direct monologues into the camera.
So thats the most thematic story of the three I have proposed here, if that isn’t your cup of tea then how about something a tad more simple?

Conquered
This story serves two purposes in truth; the main one is to re-establish the Sontarans as a powerful and scary force to be reckoned with following years of hilarity, and the latter is to similarly – but to a lesser extent – redeem the Stenza in the eyes of the general audience. I don’t think I need to talk about how shoddy the Stenza have been since their introduction, with only one notable individual (Tzim Sha) being dealt with in arguably the worst episode of the show. When they were first introduced however, I thought the Stenza had a lot of promise; they are hyped up as “the conquerors of the Nine Systems” (thats where the episode title comes from) and are shown to be ruthless predators… in concept. As such, Conquered will have a first half almost entirely dedicated to highlighting the cool (pun intended) aspects of this relatively new species.
Conquered opens with The Doctor already in orbit above a forest planet; on one side of the frame is a Stenza battle fleet, and obscured by the galactic equivalent of a smoke grenade is “the enemy” (i’ll give you one guess). The forest planet has native humanoids who want nothing to do with the ongoing war but unfortunately their planet is being programmed as a bomb against the other side by Stenza master engineers: a call-back to how they made the natives of Desolation destroy their own planet. The Stenza are shown to be absolutely ruthless in their endeavours: torturing the inhabitants, freezing whole villages, but still ever-fearful of the enemy whom they refer to as just that – no names. To give some contrast to Tzim-Sha’s warped tooth-fairy design, a named Commander of the Stenza Fleet will be N’ic-Grim, whose gimmick will be he sticks eyes to his skin. The rest of the Stenza in the episode will be wearing the same armour Tzim-Sha wore in The Woman Who Fell To Earth, perhaps with some small modifications. All this talk of Stenza though? I bet you’re wondering when the Sontarans show up!
Well, the purpose of this first act is to hype up the Stenza by ridding them of the Tzim-Sha baggage (possibly even a direct reference to “an embarrassment we sent to Earth long ago”), establishing their ferocity and malice, and their ultimate goal of using an entire planet as a massive bomb. And then… we throw that all away by having the Sontarans send in a strike team onto the planet’s surface who absolutely massacre them, taking control of the bomb, and using it against the Stenza Fleet now that they did the heavy lifting, destroying them all – but possibly not to the extent where this is their last televised appearance (hint towards a future post in this series). Of course, The Doctor manages to save at least a couple of the inhabitants of the planet, resettling them somewhere else. If I was genuinely making this episode, i’d put my all in to establishing a real sense of dread as who this possibly “enemy” could be, before pulling back the literal smoke screen with loud dark synth tones as more and more Sontaran Motherships pop into frame. Just cool stuff, you know?
Anyway, this was more of a simple idea than the previous one, but it established the two goals I set out to complete, so I consider that a job done. Now for an idea i’ve had for a good long while, and my favourite of the three:

The Always Samurai
I don’t know where I read it, but I distinctly remember hearing talk of Jodie Whitakker wanting to do an episode set in Samurai-era Japan. Considering the show has never really gone beyond Western history thus far in the modern era, and considering the fact my episode suggestions here have an unlimited budget, I suggest we grant her wish. The Always Samurai, a play on “The Last Samurai” is just that episode – it could even be one of Jodie’s final ones to bring a sense of closure to the end of her tenure perhaps. Either way, my main goal with this episode was to use the Sontarans in a genuinely creative way, and establish at least a partial redesign. Rack your brain – name the greatest warrior societies in Earth’s history; Sparta, the Vikings, Normans, and also possibly the Samurai. So where better to train Sontar’s elite forces than by observing the battle tactics of one such group?
In this story The Doctor (and possibly Team TARDIS) arrive in Japan in 1878, expecting to see a post-war country beginning to blossom in the lack of the Satsuma Domain. Instead, they find that the Siege of Kumamoto Castle (which famously marked the end of the Samurai era) still on-going, with locals referring to it as “the always battle” and that it has never changed. Unable to even go near the castle due to a temporal bubble surrounding it, The Doctor utilises her TARDIS to smash through into the time-lock (cue references to the Time War), discovering that the final battle of the siege is still on-going, with only the Samurai aware that it has replayed multiple times. And so the team find themselves split up; Yaz and Graham head down into the castle amid the fire and ash to establish the situation, getting to know the Samurai (particularly Saigo Takamori). Emphasis is placed on the fact the Samurai have relived the battle over 100 times by now, and still their lines have not broken, highlighting once again their battle prowess even against the technologically advanced imperials. Yeah, this is a LOT of historical romanticism, but its Doctor Who, when has that ever not been a thing? Also, this isn’t making war criminals seem like good people either. As for The Doctor (because Ryan Sinclair will never be in an episode I design), she investigates just who is causing the time lock, discovering a small group of Sontaran Black Operatives, one of the most deadly fighting forces in the universe. Aboard their ship: references galore! The audience is treated to trophy shelves with remnants of Daleks, Mire, and Cyberman gear, just as a bit of a build-up to the prowess of these elite troopers. Their design will be all-black, more in-line with the Classic Era Sontarans, and their objective here on Earth has been to analyse our best fighting forces to hone their skill in combat even further to assist in the Rutan-Sontaran War, endlessly replaying the Siege of Kumamoto Castle with direct influence over wether or not the Samurai are aware of it, to test their abilities before eventually beaming down to fight them head on.
And this eventually happens in the climax of the story; the Samurai face off against katana-wielding Sontaran Black Ops, and through help of Team TARDIS they manage to win, and the siege is reset back to 1877, just days before it reaches its end. The main cast say goodbye to Saigo, knowing full well they will die, but this time – with honour. I’ve had this idea for a long time and always thought it was cool, mainly because of the Samurai, but the Sontarans are used in what I believe to be a very interesting way. The Black Ops design as well is something i’m quite proud of.

There we have it!
Three ideas for Sontaran-focused episodes, each one with a central core theme or gimmick, each one hopefully accomplishing the two goals I set out at the start: doing something interesting, and bringing back the fear factor.
Next up: well i’m open to suggestions really, I possibly might do a shorter post with an idea I had for a Stenza-centric episode, but if I think of something better then huzzah!
Thanks for reading.

2019.12.31 03:49 tradeclassytrade Face the Wisdom of the Seas: Pirate Warrior Guide

Update: Faced a good amount of Quest Priest today at ranks 4-5. This may not be the optimal deck to pilot if you face many of them.
Hey guys, Classy here.
You probably don't remember me, but I was active on this sub a few months ago during the Rise of Shadows expansion. I've still been playing, albeit much less than I did in the summer. With a new and diverse meta on the ladder as well as Masters Qualifiers going on currently, I believe this is a good time to play competitively. However, many decks cost a significant amount of dust to craft, and I find that this deck specifically is great for those on a budget. Fun fact: the old Gadgetzan pirate warrior was the first deck I used to climb from rank 25 on the ladder.
Also, although it's the end of the season this deck will still be relevant and powerful next season.
Stats: Late into this season I logged on and climbed back after the rank reset. 64% WR to Legend over 74 games.

# To use this deck, copy it to your clipboard and create a new deck in Hearthstone
Mulligan + Matchups:
- General: 1-drops, Parachute Brigand (preferably w/ a 1-drop pirate), Ancharrr, Livewire Lance (if no Ancharrr)
- Keeps that are sub-optimal but not bad: Bloodsail Raider, Restless Mummy (good for aggro matchups)
- Against control/ slower decks: Skybarge can be a good option if you believe it can stick for one turn at least and you have a good hand full of cheap pirates.
- Galakrond Warrior: Most popular deck on the ladder right now. Your goal is to put him in a position where playing Galakrond would lose him the game next turn (he only gains 5 armor from it). Keep the pressure on: I would only hit his minions if it puts you in a more favorable position next turn (e.g. Skybarge survives another turn, you take out his Eternium Rover so he gains 2 instead of 6 armor), he'll do a lot of trading with rush minions every turn. Most of these decks only have two small board clears (Awaken!) to watch out for, and it only does 1 damage.
- Highlander Rogue: Be aggressive, but try to keep their small minions clear with your weapons. They don't really have many life-gain options besides Ziliax and Galakrond and tend to rely on random effects to find answers. They don't have board clears either (unless randomly generated/ discovered), so try to get as many minions onto the board as possible.
https://hsreplay.net/replay/CVhtq4VBBVb3vh8FrPKc8m
- Galakrond Zoo Warlock: Keep the board as clear as possible as they have a lot of board attack buffs and can refill. Use weapons to keep your minions as healthy as possible. They don't have healing except for 5 armor on Galakrond and will be life tapping provided that you repeatedly remove his minions, so as long as you keep the board clear you'll be fine. Knife Juggler is the main threat that you should try to remove ASAP.
- Galakrond Shaman/ Quest Varient: Their best tools against you are rush minions (especially storm elementals) and Dragon's Pack. You don't need to trade into their minions/totems but you should be prepared for the 5/6 taunts they will inevitably play to try to stabilize off of. For example, you can save charges on your weapons or save rush minions in your hand if you suspect they will play it next turn. The quest variant is even slower; do as much damage as you can before they complete the quest as they will start getting value from their lackeys. One notable minion to watch out for is MC Tech. You can play around this by either having less than 4 minions on the board or filling the board with a bunch of smaller minions.
https://hsreplay.net/replay/ep8PqSVDMD3NWKsv8oZNaW
https://hsreplay.net/replay/uNQBrFkrvBMUiyhm6Y3ZLk
- Handlock: They have a good amount of heals, removal spells, board clears, and big taunt minions that are hard to play around. You need to get a good start and hope they don't have those cards. Otherwise, this is not a good matchup.
- Deathrattle Rogue: Be very aggressive and get a fast start. Ignore their Apothecary and try to kill them before they get too many buffs and play their buffed minions. If they buff a life steal minion there really isn't much you can do, except when you're within weapon lethal range. If you don't play a minion then their Vicious Scalehides can't deal rush damage.
https://hsreplay.net/replay/uNQBrFkrvBMUiyhm6Y3ZLk
- Quest Resurrect Priest: The matchup can be annoying if they have a good hand but is not unwinnable. Get the fast start and play around turn 4 + coin/ 5 mass hysteria by checking minion attack/health. You don't really have silence so you need to use weapons to remove their taunts preferably. The Albatross variant is easier to beat especially if you have Ancharrr to keep drawing pirates and not 1/1s.
- Highlander Mage: Their deck is pretty slow and doesn't have much healing. Ignore minions as much as you can to get face damage in. They have a good amount of board clears, freezes, and rng effects so this matchup can be very annoying. Watch out for turn 5 + coin/ 6 Reno which deals 10 damage to your board.
https://hsreplay.net/replay/ipuDNuzxxYAzPmWaKa9CPM
https://hsreplay.net/replay/fAJQYtwqHR5XbVMFFUYArW
- Face Hunter: Kill his important minions such as Darven Sharpshooter and Phase Stalker. Watch out for explosive trap and unleash the hounds when you have a wide board, but other than that you should be faster than him.
- Highlander Hunter: They don't have much healing besides Ziliax so just keeping hitting face. Try to finish them before they play their powerful cards like Brann, Siamat, Dragonqueen Alexstraza.
- P.S. I definitely missed some matchups. Comment below if you want me to add one. I will be updating the guide throughout the next week.
Tips + Tricks:
- Don't just swing face on auto-pilot: Sometimes using your weapon to maintain board control allows for your minions to survive and deal more damage to your opponent in the long run. This is especially true in aggro vs. aggro matchups.
- Play slowly and think through each play. There are mistakes you can make with this deck. Things to consider: Cost reduction on Dread Corsair; drawing Parachute Brigand with Ancharrr, adding Parachute Brigand to your hand with Sky Raider, Hoard Pillager weapon pool (please don't play Upgrade! as a 1/3 weapon unless you absolutely have to), Skybarge combos (w/ Parachute Brigand)
- Always be calculating lethal options: Count your damage each turn and how much life your opponent will have. What do you need to draw or add to your hand to win? There will be close games with your deck. Calculating and making the play with the best probability of a topdeck lethal etc. will win many games.
- Get those dirty Leeroy topdecks -> get more friend requests: It's a win-win! Topdecking Leeroy when the opponent has exactly 6 HP is the most effective way to make more friends ;)
Replacement options:
- You can replace Captain Greenskin with an Upgrade!
- You can replace one Southsea Captain with a Hoard Pillager
- You can replace one Southsea Captain with a Faceless Corruptor
- You can consider adding in Frothing Berserker as it can steal games if it sticks
- You can also consider adding in the mech package (Eternium Rover, SN1P-SN4P, Ziliax) as it does better against aggro, but it's a bit slow
Contact me: For the next few months or so, I'm not planning on grinding ladder or any tournaments. Feel free to add me for some assistance if you wish. Discord: Classy#9273, Battle ID: Classy#11710

2019.02.06 22:26 StarDDDude OHOHOHO A LORE SUBREDDIT TIME TO TALK ON "TIMELINES"

Soooo, something I see way too often is how people see what ifs as completely non canon. Which is a kinda dumb idea, because those are WHAT IFs which means they COULD have happened EXACTLY how we played throught them, it just did not happen in the same scenario as the main game. And further we can baiscally set the "main game" down as a What if Scenario because... You know... it didn't actually happen, it's just fiction, just like the other What ifs, which could have happened in the SAME fiction. Which basically means: Meta Knight could have managed to get to Haltman by himself and if he did so he would have fought against the warriors selected by Star Dream, including Galacta Knight.
ALL ABOVE THIS IS THE BASIC CONCEPT ALL BELOW IS IF YOU WANNA SMASH YOU FACE INTO MY LORE RAMBLINGS
But now let me go onto what is which What if and what is how "canon", from here on I will be refering to What if Scenarios as WiS.
First on the list is Meta Nightmare which is kind of a dumb point at which to start because... we didn't really have any lore back then, and so basically this WiS is just MK doing all the shit. And of course we gotta talk about MK against MK which is... Completely non-canon and just part of MKN being a replaythrought of the game, and because there was no actual lore story they just left the MK fight in.
. Now "we" go on with Super Star Ultra, and... there aren't really any WiS here Marx Soul is introduced by a cutscene from after Nova being beaten which basically can just easily be set after the happenings as it isn't an altering in any way (Which a WiS would be) instead it's a continuation from Marx battle. And MKNUs main story part, MK summoning Galactic Nova and wishing to fight the strongest Knight, is perfectly adaptable into the main story because the responsible cutscenes are actually made to fit into the main story (which they didn't do for no reason) by making Nova actually be rebuild upon summoning... with one part missing, the part that Marx absorbed. The rest also makes mostly sense... just not the part of him conquering and destroying his own ship which is only happening because it is a replay of the game and the game includes MKRevenge, so basically the same canoncity as MK vs MK: N O N E Unless HAL fixes these two small plotpoints (Like how they did later in another example) MK destroying Halberd and MK vs MK should be completely unconsidered when talking about any lore. As ending point we have Kirby vs GK in the True Arena, which is a What if Scenario, we just have no clue how it could've come to this, maybe this is WiS of Galacta winnibg against MK and stealing Kirbys cake or sonething, but there's not much lore here anyways, just the fact: Yes Kirby and Galacta can hit each other with attacks
. So now shit gets real with RtDL. Here we have our first actual WiS, the extra mode of that game.
But first, in the WiS that you were really wonderring about this: YES ALL THE LORESCREENS ARE IN FACT TRUE TO ALL WiS Unless of course it says: "Oh look Galacta Knight grew an eye" Which just describes him growing an eye... and him growing an eye doesn't happen simoutanously in all possibilitys. It would be apllyable to all WiS if it also mentioned why he grew deh eye like: "Oh Look Galacta grew an eye because Dark Matter" By which we can of course say: GALACTA GROWS EYES WHEN DARK MATTER (Althought we can of course also say that Galacta grows eyes when he grows eyes to make the terrible boss desc ver 1 I pu there make sense to all WiS)
. Ok now actually onto RtDL In RtDLs Extra mode we can see how bosses have an upgraded form, at this point it is just for making the game harder and the WiS is basically just some different stuff at the end... BUT we have consider how Landia and Magolor don't just appear in EX form but instead use the crown to turn EX, Landia appears in Red normal form and becomes Spyro by actually turning EX And in the cutscene to Mgolor EX it can be specifically seen how he uses the crown to go EX Those are actual differences from which we can see how the MasterCrown can enhance it's wearer into EX (And yup... there's actual lore following on EX in this post) Why this doesn't happen in the main game or why other bosses just appear like that? No goddamn clue BUT the crown CAN activate EX. And same for HR-D3, that thing exists and there's no story clue why it isn't in the main story, but perhaps something of greater importance differntiates these two WiS, making HR-D3 only actually exist within the EX version (Which of course doesn't make it imposdible to exist)
Oh and of course we gotta talk about Galacta Knight... it COULD've been a battle that happened in any of the WiS, wether it be the EX mode or not, we just didn't have it in them because of pacing. But it isn't as important because each way doesn't change much for GK (And I gotta write about his own tineline some... Perhaps even in here already)
. Next up the list is Triple Deluxe and here's where some fun begins. In this games WiS we have DDD doing stuff instead and Kirby probably being lazy like always and sleeping. In here we can see how if DDD did dis he would've behaved like a boss and teleported half his way throught the game because those portals are definetly impossible to be some Another Dimension portals or just straight up gamedesign choice, NO those are definetly a power of our LORDDD. Jokes aside, lorewise those portals are mostlikely some kind of AD portal that out of whatever freaking reason just appeared all over the place. In case of DX bosses... they do seem simmilar to EX and uding my knowledge on what EX is... yeah probably the same What I call EX is actually specified as just X, and the color shemes are somtimes very identical to other simmilar lookibg EX colours.
But now only DMK and ShaDDDow, that is just the mirror appearing, which could also have happened in the main game instead too. But here I wonder: Perhaps the Mirror was closer to being fully controlled by Dark Mind in this WiS and that also activated the X. But mostly DX is just for harder boss variants, currently we have no much lore on why everything could just turn X all of a sudden.
And the lore on DMK, of course canon, just that he wasn't beaten in the main game WiS.
Now for the TrueArena. I seems just like Kirby going throught the X versions which might've been caused by something or only a simple gamedesign device for harder stuff. And of course also fighting ShaDDDow and DMK. Sectonia Soul here is the bigger problem, it seems like she could've happened in the main game, just like marx And I would nearly believe so because we got a cutscene that would flow in to the normal battle with her surprisingly well it just happens after her being burned down fron the Kamehameha, but it looks a bit too much like Sectonia actually got completely annihilated in the Main game and it cuts to the flower blooming perfecly, so I would guess that perhaps in some WiS sectonia survived with a little bit power left and was able to suck some ancient fruit shit.
. And so we arrive at the game that started this all... Planet Roboboi... oh boi MKNR is just MK doing all this shit, and here they actually made sure to not have any Meta on Meta action and instead fight the mech that Haltman co. build from probably having him captured a bit but him then escaping. The 2.0 versions might just refer to them having better tech in this WiS (For obvious Gamedesign reason) but perhaps even to stuff turning X... but I guess they would also turn X... unless it's a combination of both and the tech turned X for sone reason.
But now onto the real tasty stuff: Yee StarDream has Dark Matter... DNA? And Sectonia DNA. As well as being able to summon the strongest warrior. It just didn't happen in the main game because Haltman and Susies actions prevented StarDream from assuming someone wants to take over the "ownership"... of having your thoughts being owned by StarDream
But let's look randomly look at how the GK timeline is build up: First we have him in SSU where he can be seen dying and shattering into pieces which, for now, would be the end of his timeline. But before that happened he was ported into a future later than his destruction where we can see him outside of a crystal glowing white, and after battle he returns (?) into a crystal. So question is: Where did he cone frome and where did he turn to The possibilitys are that: 1. He came feom the RtDL battle after which he turned white after being beaten and was brought back to another dimension afterwards (For whatever frucking reason) "sealed" in a crystal 2. He came from somtime we don't know how he was beaten and was brought back into the RtDL battle 3. It is warping him from two times we don't have any information on (very unlikely considering the Miiverse posts) 4. Both 1 and 2 are true and he has been in a timewarp 5. He came fron the RtDL battle and after being "sealed" he was warped to the TrueArena WiS after which he nearly ded and we again have no clue what happens after that.
Soooooo... Star Dream SoulOS The "final programm" mentioned seems to be sonetjibg specifically activated after.. BEING SLASHED BY THE UNIVERSES STRONGEST KNIGHT or sonething like that But nothing special here besides that (and what that shit actually is and shit) Heart of StarDream exists in normal world too we just skip it with the roboboi.
. So... clash deluxe... Ig happens after PR That's it, and no, just because it is mentioned as having happened a long time ago doesn't mean it happened a long time ago, it could be happened a long time ago fron the writings that will come as kinda stated in SA... and anyways that was just for mood stuff.
Another sidenote: Parallel bosses are actually called Another, the english translators just thought the game with no other actual point of showing they are actually from AD would be perfect to chabge it to parallel.
. So let's a go to the final case of SA We know that Another Dimension Challenge (hahaha I can feel cool because using beta names) takes place after the main story. And we can see the altar changing, but we don't see how And at that point is where I would put Guest Star, I thibk guest star represents Hyness bringing back Galacta (For whatever fruckeling reason, if wanted or not) and the Butterfly taking the white Knights power and all that repeating over and over again (Like the japanese Morpho EX description stating him having taken GKs power "Day by Day") till the altar opens to AD and Hyness falls into it (and Morpho seems to warp away after beaing beaten instead of dying, his animation got changed in wave 3 to match his warping animation more) In the meantime Kirby is in AD running around. As well as the Guest Stars just being representative of Helpers and all going on a small travell to get to the altar instead of havibg happened exactly like that
But the generals Guest Star placement is bit different: Firstly... I don't think Another bosses appearing in normal world is canon in any way... althought I could see that Morpho X might've caused that shit. But anyways: The generals guest star would be placed as last guest star and be the generals search for Hyness. The japanese version calls it "From prayer to Travel of Hope" which should refer to the generals not only praying anymore to Hyness that he changes back (Sidenote: You can't tell me any shit on 「Prayer Song to God」 being about VT or anything else that I just said before this bracket started I smashed my head into that songtext for MONTHS and my one single theory I would have bet my life on, that the generals knew Hyness before he went insane and abusive and were hoping to bring back their Father-Messias-Friend OR WHATEVER FUCKING THING HE ELSE IS TO THEM, got literally confirmed by a MotherDUcKinG aCtUAL cuTSCeNE, So DoN'T EvEN TrY iT, I PREDICTeD T HAT B Y T H A T S O N G T E X T A L L B Y M Y S E L F A N D N O O N E E V E N T H O U G H T O F I T B E I N G L O R E A T A L L well I am too lazy to go full hyness rant mode so you can think of how the rest goes) So where were we... oh yeah From just simply smashing their head onto the ground and praying they start a travel of hope to get hyness back. And that's where Morpho X appears who has acquired the X power also "known" as full potenial or 'True' Power (Ttue Void being called 'True' is not a coincidence, and the color sheme was probably on purpose too)
But now with that behind us more WiS: Generals in SMex are just fights against their Darkside form created from taking too much Another Dimension (by the way these are also references to their original battles, they use mostly the same attack layout as the original battles just harder) Morpho in SMex... someone else than the generals beat up Morpho X (So much RIP to morpho, he finally got hold of the true power just to be beat up brutally by some girls searching for deh messiah... or some random people walking to the altar because that's always a fun place...)
And now Finally the different endings: These basically create 2 WiS here, 1. We have extremely much wholesome content 2. The generals get posessed by darkness, probably to a simmilar point as hyness got.
Wondering I am, if we will be continuing from 1 or 2 in the next game. It could also be that 2 leads into TrueVoid, but I could inagine that being a completely theoretical happening of the 'True' Void being reborn, something that could t you happen but doesn't have any specific timeline right now
.
Test
Just testing out Reddits formatting a bit
And at this point I AM DONE
So hope you could follow my madness and get some Lore knowledge

2017.05.30 18:41 acloudrift Newscast for Dreamers by acloudrift

"A collection of separate poems of different styles and topics, connected by news announcements, as if heard on radio " transcript of the readcast, by Edison U. Acadian (a pseudonym); Copyright 2008
Tell you details? Details tonight at eleven. Tune in.
11 Hi there dream lovers! Let me tell you about a dream.
I was standing on a hill, Looking up into the sky. There were threatening things Appearing up there. Flashing lights. Silence. Ominous flights. Silence. Fluttering wings. Thunder. I picked up a bolt of lightning. I hurled it skyward. Poof! Something burst. Darkness.
A horde of large bats appeared. They came in a torrent A malevolent swarm Dark and swift they came Shrill cries, Barely audible squeaks, Yet awesome in their numbers. I picked up a bolt of lightning. I hurled it skyward. Poof! Something burst. Darkness.
A Viking ship appeared in the sky. Oars swept the clouds by. Shivering cold mists drifted. A drum beat. War chants echoed above. I picked up a bolt of lightning. I hurled it skyward. Poof! Something burst. Darkness.
An enormous butterfly appeared. Black bands surrounded yellow and green. Purple and red flashed on its tail. I picked up a bolt of lightning. I hurled it skyward. Poof! Something burst. Darkness.
A dim red light appeared. The sky dark-steel blue, Yet heat burned my face. Hot wind rustled my hair. I picked up a bolt of lightning. I hurled it skyward. Poof! Something burst. Coolness.
A flock of huge birds appeared. Dark wings spread wide. Wave after wave of V formations Glided across the sky Eerie cries of their passing Caused my shivers and 'goose flesh' As I stood, neck arched. I picked up a bolt of lightning. I hurled it skyward. Poof! Something burst. Feathers appeared.
A shadow emerged from the feathers. It wavered. It shimmered. It shrank. It expanded. It called softly my name. I picked up a bolt of fabric. I hurled it skyward. Poof! Something burst. Ribbons appeared.
A face emerged from the ribbons. A lovely woman’s face. She whispered. "I love you, dear." I picked up a bouquet of flowers. I hurled it skyward. Poof! Something burst. Hearts appeared. I cheered.
Be sure to tune in tomorrow at 7 for more dreams!
7 Good Morning Dream Lovers! Welcome to the Early Bird What Happened Call! This morning’s dream is brought to you by our proud sponsor: Early Detection and Re-Direction. Now for your reading enjoyment, Thuuuh ... Seeker!
Seeker: I was trudging uphill. Cold was the wind. Grey were the stones. The air was thin. Short was my Breath. Long was my path. Near was the Summit. I came over the rise. What a surprise! A lone seated figure. In Lotus Position. Wearing loincloth and smile. Eyes closed the while. Serene and beguiling. As I neared his position, I went down to my knees, My head to the ground. And said to him "Wise Sir, Please?" Sage: What matters? Seeker: I seek a small favor. Sage: What if I waver? Seeker: I will ask thusly: Pray tell me wise Lord Of this lofty summit, Of my problem’s solution, And what shall come from it? Sage: What of the problem? Seeker: I have lost someone precious. Sage: By death or transgression? Seeker: M’Lord it was error, No more than just human. Of my err, I admit, Thus consult your acumen. Sage: What have you learned? Seeker: I have learned to accept this. I will not place blame. Never in this world Will we be the same. Was I wrong? Did I falter? Who ever can say, What real truth is At the end of the day? But past has now passed. On to the future. Without my lost Precious, What shall become of us? Sage: What follows the stars? Seeker: The traveler? The dawn? Sage: And you come upon ... ? Seeker: A new day, With much of the same? Sage: What is the same? Seeker: My habits? My searching? Sage: Of that ... what matters? Seeker: Is searching the answer? Sage: Why should it not be? Seeker: So by seeking and seeking, And never to tarry, I can find a new love, And possibly marry? Wishing wild wishes With freedom of thought, My aims will be fruitful, And not come to naught? Sage: Who more truly has spoken? Seeker: Your pawn, I’m a token. Of your excellent game. The wisest of wise, I honor your name. But what can it be? Sage: If you look in a mirror, what do you see? Seeker: Are you out of my mind? Can such truly be? Such sublime questions Can be authored by me? Sage: Have you spoken? Seeker: Indeed thusly. And what ever else must be.
Then crawling backwards, My head to the ground, I retreated the summit, With a glow in my heart That seemed to come from it. As I passed out of sight, My master was gone But now all was right.
That’s our dream for today, folks! Tune in again at 11 for the best Dreams on the Web!
11 Ladies and Gentlemen, we interrupt this readcast with an interesting bulletin. Receivers at the University of Wasatchington have intercepted a signal from the top of Mt. Olympus. The message was in ancient Greek, but classical scholars at Wasatch U say they have interpreted the message. Here it is, verbatim.
Respect is the center about which relations Entwine human kind, indeed, those of all nations. Know ye thy lays of respect, numbered three. First, and most basic, for all who must be Of good manner, good will, and eminent charm, Respect every person, and do them no harm. No harm to body, possessions, intentions, nor friends, No harm to family, self image, nor do what offends. Second, aspire to the next higher degree, To admire, to esteem, and to cherish, pray thee. Third, and most lofty, such honor to bear, Commit to a person with ultimate care. Do as they will, and follow their path, Be at their side, in peace or in wrath. The person is worthy of honor and trust, Is worthy to give whatever is just. You must expect nothing but hope in return, For this is true love, a challenge to earn. Unless you're a child. So have one and learn.
If you have any questions, just include them in your prayers tonight before bedtime, and pleasant dreams! Tune in at 7 for more!

next 7 Good morning, Dreamers! Last night we had a rerun dream, a night-mare from the distant past. It was a deja-vu of Alfred Noyes' The Highwayman (an adaptation, not a copy). It's brought to you by Boston Tea (It's a wiff o' Sea.)
"The Patriot"
A torrent of breeze Swept through the trees. And the moon was a ghostly galleon, Tossed upon cloudy seas.
The road was a ribbon Its way well given B'twixt the towns Of colonial downs Seen this night, In dim starlight, For fear to drift upon. For fear to drift upon, my friend, For fear to drift upon.
From the ranks of General Gage There came a Patriot spy, my friend, To the Sons o' Liberty, was he loyal. With secrets o' the Royal Guards, my friend, With secrets o' the King’s Men Royal! The Patriot came riding- Riding-riding- Came riding to his love this night, Came riding o're the purple moor. The Patriot came riding, Riding, riding, Came riding, he, a marvelous sight, Up to the old inn-door.
My friend, he wore A French cocked-hat, Like a Tory he was dress'd ... Wi' a brace o' lace for his collar that, He'd blend with noblemen. Clean and sure well pressed, A velvet jacket, was he wearing then, Long legs astride a saddle, clothed In breeches of brown doe-skin. His boots shined in the moonlight. His steed was tall, and fine. His youthful creed was in sore need To rid our shores of old Brit-tain, my friend, For liberty did he repine. In clandestiny for Freedom's cry-- Bold on Treason's side, my friend, Our valiant Patriot spy- Well on Treason's side he rode, Under a jeweled sky.
Over the cobbles he clattered, Clattered and clopped in the dark inn-yard, And he tapped with his whip on the shutters, But all was locked and barred; my friend, All was locked and barred.
He whistled a tune to the window, And who should be waiting there, But the landlord's lovely daughter, Bess, the landlord's daughter, Plaiting a dark red love-knot Into her long black hair.
But hark! In the dark of the old inn-yard A stable-wicket creaked. Where Sid the ostler listened; His interest sore piqued For what he’d hear ‘em say. His poxy face alert now, To twisty fate he'd pray.
Sid fancy'd the landlord's daughter, He wished with her to lay. But from her, did Sid draw laughter, When’er he came to play. Alas, she'd no care for the likes o' Sid. So he pined his life away.
"Redcoats'll want to know this ..." So in envy and in spite, To them sure would he say again What e're he'd hear tonight! So dropping eves, Sid listened, And heard our Patriot’s plight -
"One kiss, my bonny sweetheart, I'm riding Liberty's Aide tonight. She’s a courier, so I’ll curry her! Hah! If he did know that it were so, Aye! Gage would bane my flight! So hastily now must I go; Lass, gi'me a bonny start. Memory of your kiss dear, To be held close to my heart.
But Gage's men may harry me May harry me on the way. If so I'll go- somewhere below ... To pass safely through the day. But look for me by moonlight, Aye, watch for me by moonlight, I'll come to thee by moonlight, Though hell should bar the way."
He rose upright in the stirrups; He scarce could touch her thumb, But she loos'd her hair o' the window! His heart thumped like a drum. Thrummed sharp raps and trill o' pipes Imagined o' his Scott's land, This Rebel fell into her spell, So kindly, warm and fine. My friend, of home and hearth to tell, And not forget, this twain had vowed, To ne'r go out of line.
Her love reached out to grasp him, Chills ripp'd down his spine! A rich cascade of fragrance Came tumbling cross'd his breast; And he kissed its air in the moonlight, Oh, sweet perfume in moonlight! The scent that he loved best.
What’er might come of his flight tonight, The plan which he’d confessed, Her plan was sworn allegiance, His trip was by her blessed.
"Farewell dear Bess. So now the test, To bring news to our Cause. They shall be gone, All Brit-tain's dogs I swear, a'fore I'm laid to rest." Then he tugged at his rein in the moonlight, And galloped away to the West.
He did not come in the dawning; He did not come at noon; But out o' the tawny sunset, Before the rise o' the moon, When the road was a gypsy's ribbon, Looping the purple moor, A Redcoat troop came marching- Marching-marching- General Gage's men came marching, Up to the old inn-door.
They said no word to the landlord, They drank his ale instead. They gagged his daughter and bound her To the foot of her narrow bed.
With muskets at the ready, For a night of sentry’s trouble, To stop this rebel’s treason, Men stood steady, double. T'was death at her very window; T'was sheer terror inside; For Bess could see, through her window, The road that he would ride.
They tied a musket to her side, Standing she’d have no rest. Fear would betide her rebel’s ride Which their plans scotched and folded. With many a chuckling jest: "Now help us keep good watch!" they plied. Was it truly their mistake? Her gun was cocked and loaded!
She dreamed the doomed man said- Look for me by moonlight; Watch for me by moonlight; I'll come to thee by moonlight, Though hell should bar the way!
She twisted her hands behind her; But all the knots held good! She writhed her hands till her fingers Were wet with sweat and blood! She stretched and strained in the darkness, And the hours crawled by like years, Till, then, on the stroke of midnight, Cold, on the stroke of midnight, The tip of one finger touched it! The trigger at least, was hers! The tip of one finger touched it; She tried no more to win! The rag did gag, but hid a smile. The cold muzzle at her chin. She would not risk their hearing; She would not strive again; For the heart in her chest Was sworn to arrest As it throbbed to her love's refrain: Look for me by moonlight; Watch for me by moonlight; I'll come to thee by moonlight, Though hell should bar the way!
Tlot-tlot; tlot-tlot! Had they heard it? The horse-hoofs ringing clear; Tlot-tlot, tlot-tlot, in the distance? Were they deaf that they did not hear?
Down the ribbon of moonlight, Over the top of the hill, The Patriot came riding, Riding, riding! The Redcoats cocked their muskets! She stood tall, straight, and still!
Tlot-tlot, in the frosty silence! Tlot-tlot, in the echoing night! Nearer he came and nearer! Tense and strained in fright, Blurred by tears, her vision; Her fear then, at its height! Her eyes grew wide for a moment; Then closed to all further sight. She’d make no further comment, She drew one last deep breath. Her finger twitched in the darkness, Her musket shattered the stillness, And warned him-with her death.
He turned; he spurred, into the West; He did not know who lay Dropped by a Redcoat musket, And drenched in blood that way! Not till the dawn did he hear it, The townsfolk sure alarmed, Gage's men had been with her when Poor Bess had been sore harm'd!
His face grew grey to hear How Bess, the landlord's daughter, The landlord's lovely daughter, Had watched for her beau in the moonlight, And died in the darkness there.
Back, he rode, like a madman, Shrieking curses to the sky, Behind him smoked the dusty road As he spurred his horse to fly! Blood-red were his spurs in the daylight, His mount was bathed in sweat. Our Patriot youth came riding, Riding, riding. Of destiny heedless yet.
They shot him down on the highway. Dropped like a rag on the highway, He lay there sprawled and dead. He lay in the dust o' the highway, His body dosed with lead.
And still of a winter's night, they say, When the wind is in the trees, When the moon is a ghostly galleon Tossed on misty seas, The road is a ribbon of moonlight Over the purple moor. A ghostly Patriot comes riding- Riding-riding- A Patriot youth comes riding, Up to the old inn-door.
Over the cobbles he clatters And stops in the dark inn-yard, And he raps his whip on the shutters, Though they be locked and barred. He whistles a tune to the window, And who should be waiting there But the landlord's lovely daughter, Our Patriot’s cherished dear, Plaiting a dark red love-knot Into her ghostly hair.
Their spirits again replay the dream ... Doomed to haunt this place, they say, He must return to their fateful scene, ‘Cause Patriots may have hell to pay, My friend, have bloody hell to pay.
