2024.06.02 08:44 winterofdecay Not Sure What Stand To Get

Hello!
Looking for a wheel stand, (excluding budget) that would fit a range of requirements or if there are extensions I could buy to extend it.
Recently got into sim racing and got my self an entry level wheel and pedal set for around A$650. Before this I owned some flight sim gear and as it is getting annoying taking down and setting up to swap games, I was wondering if there was a stand that would support Flight Sim Gear, Pedals, A Handbrake, Shifter, and a Keyboard / Mouse. And if not, are there extensions I could buy that would attach to the stand or if I'd have to custom make those extensions myself.

2024.06.02 08:43 SkeletalProfessor Advice for maximizing number of plants with non-sunroom windows?

Hello! I have finished university, and now that I am no longer in a dorm, I am wanting to level up my houseplant game again. I have various plants already, but I would like to dedicate a large portion of my room to plants now that I have the option. However, since it is an apartment, I don't have a sunroom. What I do have is a 28x42 inch window facing east, and another facing south. However, they are both about 32 inches above floor level, and I am unsure what an ideal way to manage them would be.
I have created a rough diagram of my room for ease of viewing. Notably, the wall with the door has a closet, so I can't move my bed/desk to block it. I chose this setup because I thought it was about as much light as I could squeeze out, but I'm open to other suggestions (that don't involve me throwing away my bed!).
Could I get some input on what shelf locations/potting methods would help optimize the number of plants while ensuring each one is happy and healthy?
I was thinking I could maybe fill the wall with the bed/desk up with shelves, but I'm afraid it may be too far from the windows even for a low-light plant, and I don't want a grow light over my bed to supplement them. I am not used to lots of plants in a non-sunroom.
Any and all advice is appreciated!
(P.s - I wasn't sure if this is "stuff" or not, as I'm more trying to ask about locations rather than specific shelves or gear. If this was flaired incorrectly please let me know!)

2024.06.02 08:42 Muntauw (Rant) Anyone else just feel like you have no idea how you're going to do on the June test

I went through ALL the PTs except for the ones in the 1~35 range, and even those early ones aren't completely new since I drilled a couple of questions in those on 7sage.
So after April I've been stuck redoing PTs in the 70~90s, which obviously had inflated scores from being super familiar(around 177~180 range). My most recent 'new' PT was in the 40s which turned out to be a 174. Then again, PT94 was a 170 after losing time with interruptions (some random dude was going berserk in the library where I was taking the test). So I feel like I have no clue how the June test is going to end up like, since most of my scores seem unrepresentative as they're from redos + older PTs. I scored a 170 in April after expecting a 172, and I feel like I wouldn't be completely surprised if I ended up with another 170 or even lower in June - I have a feeling the curves are going to be brutal.
Overall performance by sections don't feel wildly different than how it was from April. - I think I peaked in LR with April, and now I'm slowly losing stuff somehow? POEing is slower than how it was, probably due to me being more cautious after seeing that drop in pt94. - RC has been sort of consistent, and somewhat seem to have been improving, except I can't be sure of this either because of the lack of comparative passages that are fresh enough for me to practice with, and comparatives are where I suck in RC. - I've been trying to get LG down to a consistent -0, which was going well until a random -4 in PT90 yesterday.. going to be foolproofing these while doing the recommended sets from Crystal Ball.
Just super anxious and tired overall, I'm sure the skills that I do have aren't going to magically disappear but feel like my 'brain juice' is dry - it has been since last week. Really hope they don't throw in some ridiculous RC comparative in June. Or the crazy misc game everyone's been talking about. Trying to shake off this anxiety with more drills, but man I'm tired af

2024.06.02 08:42 Green_Dream_ How can I support my husband?

First of all , I'm deeply sorry for all you dear parents who have been alienated from their children. It's something I barely knew existed until I saw it happening to my husband. We are together since 5 years , and his 2 daughters seemed nice and normal and well behaved the first 3 years. The last 2 years, conciding with their mom getting a new husband, and also coinciding to their teenage years (one just got 13 years old , the second girl is 16) , they just told my husband, documented by Child Protection services (Jugendamt in Germany) that they don't want to have a relationship with their dad. No abuse or anything happened, my husband is an excellent father, very kind and loving. Mom had poison the kids , by saying to the 13 years old that her new "dad" (step dad) should have been her dad, and to the 16 year old that her depression is his dad's (my husband's) fault. This are some things we just heard but we know there's much more... It's terrifying. Question: how can I support my husband , what to do, what not to do, what to say, what I shouldn't say. I don't know how to behave. I want to support him. Thank you

2024.06.02 08:42 Smooth-Visual5635 Should I switch hero’s even if I’m close to my ultimate?

We've all been there, sitting in spawn, wondering if we should switch heroes even though our ultimate is almost charged—or even fully ready. The dilemma for me is real: switch heroes and potentially turn the tide of the game, or stick it out, hoping to unleash your ultimate without getting caught in a frustrating cycle of dying before getting to use it.
So, what's a good rule of thumb for this situation? Sure, the easy answer is "it depends..." but let's dig a bit deeper.

I've been playing them basically forever, but I never got good at any of them. If you made me play any Sonic game pre-Generations (so before they became extremely easy) I'd look like a complete noob that has never touched a Sonic game
I get that you have to replay these games over and over to master them, but it feels weird to play them for this long to still be incompetent at most games in the series

2024.06.02 08:42 MastrDiscord Former Rank 1 WoW Raider Looking to do Savage

I was the best raider in World of Warcraft and since this game is easier, I'm looking to win the RWF. I have exactly zero experience with the game, I just bought a story boost, and I don't mind misrepresenting myself for perspective recruiters if it helps me get in. As it stands, I intend to abandon my family and friends for the Savage release so I am looking to raid for potentially twenty-four hours per day, all seven days, using the Fellowship Finder if I can't find a static through here. I can do any role as they are all easy.
My experience on World of Warcraft includes worlds first Mythic kills with accompanying rank 1 parses day 1; I played everything as it was its all gotten easier over the years. I was the owner for a rank 1 Classic World of Warcraft guild as a Warlock Healer, but honestly, this is only being included for narcissist purposes. More recently, I was on the Season of Discovery, where I watched someone else get a Rank 1 Parse from the bench.
On the Final Fantasy XIV side, as stated, I have no experience with Savage. I would say that I am proficient as every job and role in the context of Normal mode, which is about the same difficulty that I'm expecting from Savage. I have played for several years while actively avoiding the raiding side of the game because raiding was much more interesting back in the days of 1.0. I only play every other piece of content because those actually require skill, including but not limited to: the top ranking in Ishgardian Restoration, completing 2000 Mentor Roulettes for Astrope, getting Crystal twice in Crystalline Conflict, and completing everything in Gold Saucer such as Magicked Card, Mahjong Master, and Queen Bean.
Feel free to send me a direct message on Reddit if you're interested, thanks.

I have already spoken with a Epic Player Support Member and they asked me to make a bug report so here I am.
If anyone has fixed this issue please leave your solutions below.
just note that I have already done most of the basic solutions (verifying game files, reinstalling the game etc.)

2024.06.02 08:41 K1ngTutt28 Credit Card Strategies - Current Navy Fed Card Holder

Hi everyone!
I am new to the credit card points and miles game and would love to get some advice and guidance.
For a long time, I've only had one card (which I still have), the Navy Federal Credit Union Flagship Rewards card. I love the card, and Navy Fed has always been wonderful to work with. However, I recently decided to get an additional card as a backup. This led me to YouTube, where I discovered many videos about miles, points, and sign-up bonuses.
I recently got the Marriott Bonvoy Brilliant card because I often stay at Marriotts and wanted a hotel credit card. I appreciate the status it gives, the $300 dining credit, and the free night credit each year up to 80k points. This has me thinking about more strategies and cards in the future.
Here are the cards I have so far:
  1. Navy Federal Flagship Rewards:
    • 3x on travel
    • 2x on everything else
  2. Marriott Bonvoy Brilliant:
    • 6x on Marriott stays
    • 3x on dining and flights booked directly with airlines
    • 2x on everything else
    • Also note that I earned my signup bonus of 185k marriott bonvoy points which im stoked about!
I'm not sure if it's good or bad to have two travel cards. I've seen YouTube videos suggesting it can be beneficial. I was considering the Chase Sapphire Preferred Card and the Capital One Venture X. My local airport has a lounge accessible with the Venture X, but I’m unsure if I'll use it often, as I think I'll primarily use my Navy Fed card for travel. The Chase Sapphire Preferred caught my eye due to its lower annual fee and 3x on streaming and dining services.
Here’s some additional context:
Other cards I was considering:
What would you all suggest in my current scenario? Any advice or recommendations would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks in advance!

2024.06.02 08:41 altforrant_ Remove Boogie Bombs

They’re more than ridiculous. Multiple games I’ve lost because of them, and just overall, they aren’t fun to go against.
Especially since you have no way to counter them and once you get a chance to shoot back, you’ve already gone down, or they just spam you because you can hold up to 10 of them, such a broken item.
Plus, I don’t know if anybody else has been dealing with this, but there’s been a bug where sometimes I have to get shot more than once to have the effect go away, or another player I’ve boogie bombed. Is it not one damage, and the effect goes away?
I seriously don’t know why Epic comes up with these broken items, then proceeds to implement them, and there is obviously no way they’re play-testing them.

🔗Steambow AR-6 Stinger II Tactical Crossbow - High-Performance Hunting Accessory

The Steambow AR-6 Stinger II Tactical has definitely made an impact in my daily life. The first thing that caught my attention was its sleek design. The impact-resistant polymer construction is not only durable but also UV-resistant, which is a great feature for outdoor use. The length-adjustable AR-style buttstock along with the standard buffer tube provides a comfortable grip.
One of the standout features for me was the maximum velocity of up to 220 FPS and a maximum energy of up to 15.2 FPE. I could really feel the power behind each shot! The ridged and textured pistol grip made holding it steady during use much easier.
However, there were a couple of drawbacks. The instructions booklet was virtually useless, and I had to rely on a video to assemble it. Additionally, the shims were quite frustrating. Despite these small setbacks, the crossbow performed well and was a lot of fun to use. Overall, I'd recommend this to someone looking for an affordable and powerful crossbow.

🔗Affordable Compact Crossbow for Various Uses

https://preview.redd.it/rb8nmmxht34d1.jpg?width=720&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=60c3b88bc2697330eb35f4ac873e9455022f0869
The AR-6 Stinger II Compact Crossbow Black 414, a compact and versatile crossbow that has become a staple in my outdoor adventures. Its ease of use and portability have made it a go-to choice for a variety of activities.
The draw weight of 35 pounds ensures a sturdy and reliable shot, while its compact design makes it perfect for hunting in tight spaces or carrying during longer excursions. However, despite its strong points, I've noticed that it can be quite noisy, which might be a concern for those in more sensitive shooting environments. Overall, the AR-6 Stinger II Compact Crossbow Black 414 strikes a balance between performance and convenience, making it a worthwhile investment for hunting enthusiasts on a budget.

🔗High-Performance Acudraw Crossbow for Hunters

https://preview.redd.it/8qfszpmit34d1.jpg?width=720&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=f6c3449efc49913aa0e26406b88e3d3748e0f5ae
I recently discovered the Wicked Ridge RDX 400 Acudraw crossbow, and I must say, it has completely changed my perceptions about crossbows. The RDX 400 is a beautiful balance of speed, accuracy, and affordability. It has a power stroke of 15.5 inches and can shoot up to 400 feet per second. The perfectly balanced reverse-draw design utilizes the full power stroke for lightning-fast speeds and consistent down-range accuracy.
I love the ACUdraw Pro feature, making cocking a breeze. The included mounted scope, quiver, and arrows deliver a complete package, perfect for both beginners and experienced hunters alike. The compact size of the crossbow (only 9 inches wide) adds to its ease of use and portability.
However, there have been a couple of small drawbacks in my experience. The first is the width options of 9 and 15 inches—the 9-inch width is too narrow for a complete cocking device, so I found myself using the cocking rope more often than not. Secondly, the string serving broke after just 20-25 shots, which was quite disappointing.
Despite these minor issues, the Wicked Ridge RDX 400 Acudraw crossbow has proven to be a reliable, fast, and accurate hunting companion. I highly recommend it for anyone looking to experience the thrill of crossbow hunting without breaking the bank.

🔗Wicked Ridge RDX 410 Reverse-Draw Crossbow with ACUdraw Silent and Pro-View 400 Scope

https://preview.redd.it/l31jm2vit34d1.jpg?width=720&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=5d8c29572a591ac487525e492f21428c5f6c76bd
As a reviewer who has been using the Wicked Ridge RDX 410 Crossbow in their daily life, I've had the opportunity to explore its features and experience the benefits it offers. One of the highlights for me has been the ease of use and cocking with the ACUdraw Silent, a feature that allows for silent cocking and reduces the draw weight significantly.
The reversed-draw design provides a smoother shot and better balance for increased accuracy, making it a top choice among other crossbows in the market. The state-of-the-art Pro-View 400 Scope comes with aimpoints out to 70 yards and an updated reticle for improved down-range accuracy.
However, one downside I've noticed is the occasional noise and vibration, which may be addressed by some users with the integrated String Stop System. While the crossbow is a great value, some reviewers have faced issues with the warranty and customer support, which could be essential for future purchases or repeat customers.
Overall, despite the minor drawbacks, the Wicked Ridge RDX 410 Crossbow is a superior choice for those looking to experience the thrill of crossbow hunting with ease and accuracy in their arsenal.

🔗Adjustable Compact Pink Crossbow for Outdoor Fun

Using the Bear x Desire XL Pistol Crossbow has been an exciting adventure in my backyard. The compact design of this pistol crossbow makes it easy to store and transport, yet it's powerful and accurate. The self-cocking arm and forearm grip are perfect for beginners like me, and the adjustable stock allows for comfort and increased stability while shooting. The velocity of 175 FPS makes target practice enjoyable and the 60-pound draw weight provides a challenge without being too overwhelming.
However, there are a couple of drawbacks to this pistol crossbow. The supplied aluminum bolts with plastic push-in fletchings are prone to breaking upon impact with firm surfaces, and the cocking stock latch tends to break almost immediately. These issues are frustrating, but they do not significantly detract from the overall performance of the pistol crossbow.
In conclusion, the Bear x Desire XL Pistol Crossbow offers a fun and user-friendly shooting experience for beginners and enthusiasts alike. Its adjustable stock, compact design, and powerful velocity make it an excellent choice for backyard target practice. However, the flimsy bolts and faulty latch might require replacement over time.

I recently had the chance to try out the Wicked Ridge Invader M1 crossbow, and I must say, it exceeded my expectations. As a beginner with crossbow hunting, this product was an excellent addition to my gear. The built-in ACUdraw crank cocking device proved to be a game-changer, significantly reducing the draw weight and making cocking a breeze.
One of the standout features was the 70-yard Pro-View 400 scope, which offered impressive aimpoints and a cleaner view for improved accuracy. The scope's updated reticle made a noticeable difference when taking shots at various distances. Additionally, the crossbow's pre-sighting at 20 yards gave me confidence that it would perform well on the hunt.
The fact that this crossbow is built in the United States was a nice touch, and the craftsmanship was evident upon handling the device. The inclusion of a Pro-View 400 scope, 3 Match 400 arrows, and a 3-arrow quiver made the package even more appealing.
However, there were a couple of downsides I encountered during my experience. Firstly, the compact size of the crossbow made it slightly uncomfortable for me to carry and handle for extended periods. Additionally, the weight of the crossbow was a bit heavier than expected, making it challenging for me to carry it around for hours in the field.
Despite these minor drawbacks, the Wicked Ridge Invader M1 crossbow proved to be a reliable and efficient hunting companion. The combination of features and performance made it a valuable addition to my gear, and I would highly recommend it to anyone looking to upgrade their crossbow or start their hunting journey.

As a crossbow enthusiast, I've had the chance to try out the TenPoint Titan M1 Crossbow Package with its Rope Sled. When I first opened the package, I was impressed by the high-quality construction with its CNC-machined aircraft-grade aluminum material. It was lightweight yet sturdy, and the compact design made it easy to carry during my hunting trips.
One of the standout features for me was the ACUdraw De-Cock system. It made taking off the safety a breeze, allowing me to quickly and safely aim at my target. However, at the same time, I couldn't help but feel a bit disappointed with the trigger. It wasn't as smooth as I expected, and it required quite a bit of effort to pull back.
Shooting with the TenPoint Titan M1 was a breeze, thanks to the powerful stroke and elongated inverted VX-5 cams. I was able to achieve pin-point accuracy and devastating speeds, and the included TenPoint 3x Pro-View 3 Scope made sighting in my targets a cinch.
The inclusion of the optional Rope-sled and ACUdraw cocking system made this package versatile and allowed me to choose which one suited my shooting style better. Although the stock itself could have been better, I was happy with the overall durability and performance of this crossbow.
In conclusion, the TenPoint Titan M1 Crossbow Package with Rope Sled is an impressive and powerful crossbow that can truly make a difference on your hunting trips. Despite some minor hiccups like the rough trigger and the stock, it has been an excellent addition to my outdoor gear.

🔗Revolutionary Crossbow with Advanced Technology and Unmatched Accuracy

I recently had the pleasure of trying out the TRX 515 crossbow from TenPoint, and let me tell you, it did not disappoint. One of my favorite features was the reverse-draw design, which added a level of smoothness to the shot that I had never experienced before. It was also incredibly accurate, thanks to the twin-riser technology that reduced the riser flex and limb torq.
However, it did have a bit of a tricky cocking mechanism, as I had to make sure to use the patented ACU-slide Maxx system for silent and safe de-cocking. It definitely took a bit of practice to get used to, but once I got the hang of it, it was a great feature. I also appreciated the ambidextrous thumb safety, which allowed me to keep both hands on the crossbow and maintain my focus on the target.

I recently got my hands on the Tenpoint Titan M1 ACUdraw Crossbow and let me tell you, it's quite the experience. I've been crossbow hunting for a while now, so I was eager to see how this one would perform.
The first thing that stood out to me was the size of the crossbow. It's compact and easy to maneuver, making it perfect for those tight hunting spots. I especially loved the narrow width, which made it less hassle to carry around in the woods.
A feature that I enjoyed was the speed at which the crossbow shoots. It's capable of shooting arrows at an impressive 370 FPS, making it one of the faster models I've tried. The T5 trigger with its smooth pull and crisp break was a game-changer, making each shot feel more precise and controlled.
However, one area where the Titan M1 fell short was the durability. I experienced issues with the bowstring, which frayed and snapped after a few hundred shots. I reached out to the customer service team, and they were quick to help, but it was still an inconvenience.
In conclusion, the Tenpoint Titan M1 ACUdraw Crossbow is a good addition to any crossbow collection. With its high speed and compact design, it's sure to make your hunting experience a breeze. But be warned, there might be some durability issues that you'll need to keep an eye on. Overall, I'd give it a solid 4 out of 5 stars.

I've had the chance to test out the Tenpoint ACUdraw Pro, and I must say, it has both its pros and cons. On one hand, the product is incredibly quiet, making it perfect for those who prefer hunting without any distractions. Additionally, I love how the ACUdraw Pro is fully integrated into the stock, making it a seamless and sleek addition to my crossbow.
However, there have been a few areas where I experienced some issues. For example, I found that the handle fitting was a bit off, making it difficult to fully utilize the product. Plus, I noticed that the crossbow took a bit longer to cock with the ACUdraw Pro compared to without it.
Overall, I've enjoyed using the Tenpoint ACUdraw Pro, but I believe there's definitely room for improvement. With a few adjustments and tweaks, this could become a fantastic addition to any crossbow enthusiast's arsenal.

I recently had the chance to try out the Wicked Ridge Rampage XS ACUdraw Crossbow, and I must say, it's a game-changer. As an avid hunter, the first thing that caught my eye was the ACUdraw system, which allows you to silently cock and safely de-cock with minimal effort. Not only does it save time, but it also adds a level of stealth to your hunting experience.
One of the highlights of this crossbow is its incredibly lightweight design, weighing in at just 6.5 pounds. It's perfect for those long days in the woods when every ounce counts. Additionally, the 31.5" length, 390 FPS speed, and 5.8 total pounds provide the power, accuracy, and maneuverability you need for a successful hunt.
The Rampage XS ACUdraw Crossbow also features a 3.5-pound trigger, Pro-View Scope with 3x magnification, and a 2.5" adjustment for greater accuracy and comfort. Overall, using this crossbow was a seamless and enjoyable experience, and I'm confident that it will be a reliable addition to any hunter's arsenal.

I've been using the Wicked Ridge Commander M1 Crossbow for some time now, and let me tell you, it's a real game-changer. Despite its budget-friendly price tag, this crossbow punches well above its weight.
The ACUdraw cocking device is a dream to use, making the cocking process a breeze. The 4x multi-line scope offers accurate aiming up to 50 yards, and the fully coated optics are a massive plus. However, I must admit, the draw weight could be lighter for beginners.
All in all, the Commander M1 is a reliable and affordable choice for hunters and archers alike, offering the perfect balance of power and precision.

🔗Wicked Ridge Invader 400 Crossbow with ACUdraw 50 Cocking Device

https://preview.redd.it/ubtxgckmt34d1.jpg?width=720&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=6155de7ba4255e8c8c90eee4bcb183b64c413102
Last fall, I took up crossbow hunting as a new hobby. I had been researching for months, reading reviews, and comparing different brands. From all the options available, the Wicked Ridge Invader 400 seemed to stand out. Here's my honest review of my experience and the features that really made a difference in my hunting journey.
The first thing I noticed about the Invader 400 was its amazing accuracy. With its fully adjustable Pro-View scope and 3-arrow instant-detach quiver, I was able to hit my targets with incredible precision. This feature was especially useful for my first hunting trip, where a close-range shot was crucial.
In terms of safety, the ACUdraw 50 cocking system made the crossbow feel much more secure when I was preparing to shoot. It was also very easy to handle, even after a long day of hunting, thanks to its lightweight design. However, there were instances where the cocking rod did feel a bit rough on my hand, which caused some discomfort after several shots.
One of the features that I appreciated the most about the Invader 400 was the quiet operation. In the forest, sound can be more important than you may think. Not having my target spooked away is crucial, and this crossbow performed exceptionally well in that regard. That said, the quiet operation did come at the cost of a slight reduction in power compared to some other models on the market.
A few downsides that I encountered during my time with the Invader 400 were the lack of a built-in string stopper and the absence of any kind of noise-reducing mechanisms in the crossbow itself. The lack of a string stopper made for a more dangerous experience, especially when loading and unloading arrows. And while I appreciated the quiet operation, it would have been great if the designers could have found a way to maintain that while still providing a little more power.
Overall, my experience with the Wicked Ridge Invader 400 was mostly positive. It was an excellent crossbow for a beginner like myself, and its accuracy and powerful shots made my hunting trips more successful. There are some features I wish it had, such as built-in noise reduction and a fully adjustable sight, but it certainly gets the job done well for the price point.

🔗Wicked Ridge M-370 ACUdraw Lightweight Crossbow - Multi-Line Scope and 3 Arrow Quiver

https://preview.redd.it/jp6cs96nt34d1.jpg?width=720&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=731873d6e5d3e922a7fa1612c92b306f5bc0661c
As an avid hunter, I was intrigued by the Wicked Ridge M-370 ACUdraw Crossbow. Its lightweight build and sleek design caught my eye from the start. However, upon closer inspection, I noticed a couple of hiccups with the product.
Firstly, the AcuDraw cocking device was quite tricky to use, requiring some extra effort and attention to avoid making mistakes. While I eventually got the hang of it, I couldn't help feeling a bit frustrated with the initial learning curve.
On the bright side, the crossbow itself was impressive in terms of accuracy and power, with the built-in scope providing a clear and precise view of the target. The lightweight nature made it an easy carry in the field, and the foot stirrup, while small, did the job when needed.
However, there were a couple of downsides I encountered. The scope, while functional, felt a tad flimsy and its dial-in system was somewhat unreliable. Additionally, the foot stirrup, while compact, wasn't the easiest to use, especially for those with larger shoes.
Overall, the Wicked Ridge M-370 ACUdraw Crossbow seems like a promising option for hunters in search of a lightweight, powerful weapon. With a few tweaks to address the minor issues, this crossbow could be a great addition to any gear arsenal.

Buyer's Guide

Welcome to the Acudraw Crossbow Buyer's Guide. In this section, we will discuss important features, considerations, and general advice that can help you make an informed decision when purchasing an Acudraw crossbow. With a wide variety of options available on the market, understanding the specific requirements and features of an Acudraw crossbow can help you find the perfect one for your needs.

Power Stroke Distance

https://preview.redd.it/kr1j5ayqt34d1.jpg?width=720&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=018cf3cfb6308ffc7f87d884d1bf796a0a1b7b6f
The power stroke distance is one of the primary factors that determine the performance of an Acudraw crossbow. It is the distance the bow limb moves during the draw cycle. Generally, a longer power stroke distance leads to higher speed and kinetic energy, which results in better accuracy and penetration. Look for a crossbow with a power stroke distance of at least 10 inches for optimal performance.

Draw Weight

Draw weight is the force required to pull the crossbow back to its full draw. Higher draw weight means a stronger and more powerful crossbow. However, it may also require more effort to cock the crossbow. Consider your physical strength and hunting requirements when selecting a draw weight. A good starting point for most hunters is between 150-200 pounds. If you are considering a youth model, look for a lower draw weight, typically around 100-125 pounds.

Speed

The speed of an Acudraw crossbow is measured in feet per second (fps) and affects its shooting range and accuracy. A higher speed crossbow will generally have a greater range and better accuracy. Aim for a minimum speed of 250 fps, as it can provide an ideal balance between power and speed. For a more advanced crossbow, look for models with a speed exceeding 300 fps.

https://preview.redd.it/xwhj30prt34d1.jpg?width=720&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=d137e1e4824c9b15a0c2fed75afafdb8a33896d2

Noise and Vibration

Crossbows can be noisy and produce vibrations that can affect the shooter's aim and accuracy. To minimize noise and vibration, look for crossbows with built-in noise dampening and vibration reduction features, such as rubber dampeners or recoil dampening systems. These features will help improve your shooting experience and reduce fatigue.

Practical Considerations

  • Length: Opt for a crossbow with a comfortable length that suits your height and reach. Ideally, the butt plate should rest comfortably against your shoulder when drawing the bow.
  • Weight: Consider the weight of the crossbow, especially for hunting. A lightweight crossbow is easier to carry during extended hunts, but it may also be less stable and require more control.
  • Safety: Look for features such as a manual safety, an automatic safety that engages when the bow is cocked, and string dampers to help prevent accidental discharges.
  • Scope: Choose a crossbow with a quality scope that offers a clear sight picture and adequate magnification for the desired shooting range.

Maintenance and Care

https://preview.redd.it/ltbwjk3st34d1.jpg?width=720&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=258398eec1105cc2a0f4ffa51b33decdcac34580
Caring for your Acudraw crossbow is essential to ensure its longevity and optimal performance. Regular maintenance includes cleaning and lubricating the crossbow after each use, inspecting the strings and cables for wear, and maintaining the scope properly. Be sure to follow the manufacturer's maintenance guidelines to keep your crossbow in top condition.
Selecting the perfect Acudraw crossbow requires considering several factors, such as power stroke distance, draw weight, speed, noise and vibration reduction, and practical considerations like length, weight, safety, and maintenance. By taking these elements into account, you can find an Acudraw crossbow that meets your specific needs and provides an enjoyable and successful hunting experience.

2024.06.02 08:41 hiJessicaArtemisia Do I confront my friend about her daughter and her partner? (I only have a suspicion)

Hi I’m a rape survivor and I also have been very keyed into the world of sexual assault and trafficking (it’s related to my fields of work), so I’m very aware of the signs, but I also have my own trauma and tend to be suspicious and cynical. I really need advice about how to approach a situation with my friend’s daughter (whom I’ve never met and have no connection or line of communication with).
So my friend and I aren’t super duper close but friendly and really appreciate each other and have open honest dialogue about all kinds of things. We’ve known each other for the past few years, and she lives in a city that I visit for a few months a year (I’m a nomad). She has a 14 year old daughter who is a totally reclusive, depressed, and angry young woman and no one really knows why 🚨 Her mom attributes it to her “feeling rejected by the world” or something, but I just don’t think that kind of experience warrants the severity of her situation. I was bullied and rejected a lot, too, and I know a lot about trauma responses and things just aren’t adding up. It sounds like an excuse, and my friend just accepts it.
My understanding is that she may have had those tendencies before the family moved to the new city, but she was fine for while and then it all came back. Now she never leaves her room 🚨 and doesn’t like talking to anyone, except my friend’s partner (not her dad) who she has a “special relationship” with 🚨
My friend had an on-again, off-again relationship with her partner but now it’s steady. The girl was happy for a bit when she, her mom, and her sister first moved to the new city and then everything changed, and I suspect it coincided with when the man came to live with them. He had also known my friend and her daughters before the move. I don’t know the exact timeline. I could be wrong!
I tried to bring it up with my friend last summer but I don’t think she followed up with her daughter. I told her that all the signs of CSA are there and that she needs to ask her daughter if anyone, anyone has ever touched her in a way she didn’t want (including family) and I told my friend to let her daughter know that she would be believed and protected.
I don’t think my friend ever did that (maybe she did and never told me), but I can’t help but be afraid that my friend would be more protective of her relationship with her partner than her daughter. She tends to center men in her life. I’ve never met her partner and I don’t ask about him or their relationship. I don’t really want to know the details of their relationship because I get major ick vibes from what little I know and I’m afraid I couldn’t respect my friend if I knew, and anyway their relationship is none of my business. So I stay out of it.
But I still worry so much about her daughter. Maybe I’m projecting. Maybe I’m totally wrong. It’s just a suspicion, but I generally don’t trust men, especially not with beautiful young teenagers they have total authority over and no consequences. Maybe I’m biased. Maybe I’m jaded. I feel like those are the things my friend would say about me if I ever suggested that her partner might not be the kind of man she sees him as. The girl is so isolated and if what I’m afraid of is true and he is able to continue hurting her for years and no one ever looked out for her, I’m afraid her life could be irreversibly ruined.
So I only have a vague hunch and I’d be risking my friendship, but if I’m right, and I did nothing, I would never forgive myself. I’m neurodivergent with a history of c-PTSD and always struggled to make and keep friends (mostly because of bullying and ostracization, because I’m generally friendly, sincere, and kind, not because of a personality disorder or bad character), so all my friendships are precious to me. I love my friend and she is an important person in my life. We disagree on a lot of things and that’s why I love her. Her perspective and her loving, optimistic nature are a good balance to my guarded, cynical nature. I don’t want my trauma to hurt her and her family and destroy our friendship. But I’m afraid her loving optimism could make her family vulnerable to a child predator, and all the other signs are there imo.
I’m afraid of the confrontation and of losing my friend, but if her daughter is being abused, I have to do anything I can to protect her.
What do you think I should do?

2024.06.02 08:41 flubb98 Toxic parents never change

To preface, I am a 26 year old female, alot of the events that I'm going to talk about occurred when I was a child, some will be more recent, but as I keep low to no contact with my parents now, there wouldn't be much to tell.
As far back as I can remember, my mom would say and do things that made me feel like I wasn't as important as my brother(s). Before my younger brother (22M) was born, if my older brother (29M) broke or damaged something, he'd blame it on me. She always believed him. Sometimes he'd pinch himself, run to our mom crying and say that I pinched him for no reason and I'd end up getting punished. If he wanted to use the PS1 (for those who remember that) and I was using it, I'd be forced to get off so he could have a turn, regardless of how little time I had been using it. The same applied to the family computer. Anything he wanted, he got.
After my little brother came into the picture I assumed my older brother would be forced to share the game systems, computer, toys etc. But I was mistaken. Instead, my mom began to spoil them both, giving them whatever they asked for. Citing their recent autism diagnosis as the reason for the special treatment. "You're the only normal one, you have to compromise on these things for your brothers because they're special." "You have to be mature and responsible because they can't." Were essentially the messages I was fed for years.
I was often the one left in charge if my parents went out, not my older brother. If I wasn't in charge, they would have our oldest brother, (32M) who was adopted by our maternal grandparents, my mom's parents, watch us. Unfortunately, he was also spoiled rotten, but by my grandparents in an attempt to make up for the fact that my mom didn't raise him. Which only fueled my older brother's need for the latest and greatest toys/games at the time. So they got into arguments all the time and I'd end up being the mediatoone in charge regardless. I always had to keep a close eye on my little brother regardless of who was left in charge also, he's not as self sufficient as my older brother and lacked the understanding that most kids his age had, so he needed constant supervision or else he'd end up getting hurt. Which happened a few times, but surprisingly only while my parents were the ones watching him.
When I was 10, my dad lost his job after a seizure (he's an epileptic) caused him to slam his face into a coffee table. He wasn't able to immediately return to work due to the damage, and was fired as a result. We were then evicted from our apartment and were forced to move in with my maternal grandmother. My grandfather had passed a few years prior so it was just her, my uncle and my oldest brother living in the house at the time. My grandmother didn't want us there, to put it simply. My uncle is the one who kept bothering her about how my mom was going to lose custody of us if we didn't have somewhere to go, and she eventually caved. But she wasn't discreet about how little she enjoyed having us there.
At 13, we were still living with my grandmother, my dad had gotten a new job and I finally got a cell phone. Not my own, but my Dad shared his with me after he'd get off work. So from the hours of 4pm to 10pm, I was a regular teen with a phone, which felt nice. One day, I had to text a friend about something related to school, so I asked my mom if I could borrow her phone to text this friend. As I was getting the info on the assignment that I needed, a text came across the screen. It was from my mom's ex Jay. Jay was the father of my two older brothers, (29M & 32M) he was also physically abusive towards my mom when they were together. I admit I shouldn't have gone through her messages, but as far as our entire family was aware, Jay wanted nothing to do with my mom or my brothers, so I was curious as to why/how my mom had his number saved, let alone why they were speaking. To my horror, my mom was flirting with and sending very explicitly worded messages about how much she wanted him and how terrible my dad was. I'll admit, neither of my parents were perfect, my mom had her favoritism of my brothers, while my dad was verbally and physically abusive towards me and my older brother, but never my little brother. My dad also cheated on my mom with a coworker shortly after I was born. Which my mom made common knowledge to us kids by the time I was 7. So our relationship as a family, was tumultuous to say the least. Nevertheless, I brought the texts to my dad, who then confronted my mom. I mean, I was a kid, I had no idea how to navigate that. So I brought it to an adult, as I thought I was supposed to. But boy, I had no idea that things would turn they way they did. My mom essentially told my dad, who barely understands technology, that the texts he thought she sent, her ex sent and that I was just trying to break them up because I hate her. He believed her. This affected me for years because she'd always use it as leverage to accuse me of lying. "Well you lied about those texts, so obviously you'd lie about this too!" I was branded a liar and to this day, despite her admitting that she was lying back then, everyone in my family just sees me as a melodramatic liar and I've come to accept that will probably never change.
At 14, one of my best friends died in a train accident. I wasn't allowed to go to his funeral because my parents had booked a vacation to see my dad's family. My parents knew that telling me no before we left would result in me sneaking out and going to the funeral anyway, so they lied to me, saying that they'd think about it and let me know in the morning before we'd leave, saying it with that tone they use when you know they're going to say yes just to make me think I'd be able to go to the funeral and avoid having to look for me. They've admitted to all of this which is even more chilling to me. The next morning, they'd already packed my luggage in the car by the time I had woken up. My dad sat down and told me in no uncertain terms that I was not going to the funeral and that I was going with them, regardless of what I thought or did. I kicked, screamed, cried, bit, everything I could possibly do to get my dad to put me down. But in the end he turned on the child safety locks and he threw me in the car with my younger brother, we left and spent 3 days with my dad's family. All the while I was made fun of and mocked for crying constantly on what was "supposed to be" a happy vacation according to my parents. My older brother didn't want to go, so he didn't have to. But apparently that only applied to him. To this day I still haven't forgiven them for that.
At 15, I was kicked out of my grandmothers house, and only my dad was against it. But in the end, I had to go live with my boyfriend because I had nowhere else to go and nothing my dad said changed the minds of my mom or grandmother. Until I turned 18, my mom would get me $100 in groceries a month, to keep me alive. (I think she was just afraid I'd report her for abandonment if she didn't atleast feed me) Even then, she would say that she couldn't afford the $100 sometimes and I'd have to get a month of food out of $50 or less.
At 18, I became pregnant. My dad was very unhappy. I had my first born and I thought we were on the road to mending our relationship.
At 21, my parents invited me and my child to their house for dinner, they also invited my boyfriend but he was unable to join us because he was tired from work, but these dinners had become a regular occurrence at this point. Unfortunately, my older brother (29M) still lives at home with them and my younger brother, so I was forced to interact with him. He ended up saying something like "Mom and Dad only put up with you because they want to see your kid." It struck a nerve with me, because it had already felt that way to me for awhile, and my parents were right there, but didn't deny what he said and I started to cry. I excused myself outside but I wasn't calming down.
For some context, back when I lived at my grandmother's house, I had regular breakdowns. My parents were constantly yelling at me or hitting me for one thing or another. I didn't have a room or a bed back then, I slept on the couch in the living room from the ages of 10-15. So when my dad would go off, he'd repeatedly slam me down into whatever surface was in the room if I tried to get up or leave the room we were in. So the couch if it was the living room, my parents bed if we were arguing in their room, etc. My mom never stopped this. Sometimes it would go on for hours, and it'd get to the point where I'd either freak out and get physical with my dad or I would start to rip out my hair and beg him to leave me alone. I was regularly laughed at by my mom or older brother and called dramatic for reacting that way during these screaming sessions.
But in that moment l, as I was crying outside, I felt like that kid again. I was small and meaningless. I wanted to go home. So I collected myself as best I could and walked inside, grabbing my son as I walked up to my parents at the dining table. I told my mom that I was sorry, but we're going home. She got as far as saying, "But we're about to have di- ." before my dad began to scream at me like I had never heard him scream before. My mom took my son into another room as soon as she saw that I was caught off guard by my dad's outburst, and locked him in my uncles bedroom. For over an hour my dad berrated me, as I could hear my son wailing for me from the other room. He kept pushing me and getting in my face, not letting me leave the dining room, he almost slapped me but for whatever reason, didn't. My mom and older brother, just like when I was a kid, stood there and laughed at my reactions. Eventually, he stopped because I said something that made him really mad, so he charged outside and left. My uncle came out of his room with my son soon after and he drove us home. I sent them a long message afterwards stating that I'm going no contact. That lasted about three years, and we've since reconnected in the past 2 years, my dad hasn't pulled anything like that, seemingly because he knows I'm serious when I say I will never speak to them again. My mom on the other hand is back on the "she's out to get me" "she hates me" train again. Anytime I ask her something, even simple yes or no questions, she sends me a novel detailing her yes or no answer. If she's saying no, she always phrases things like I'm this unhinged person who goes crazy over being told no and that she's just an innocent victim to my rage? Which is funny because regardless of what her answer is my response is always "Okay." Or "Okay, thank you." And any question is prefaced heavily with "You really don't have to if you don't want to." "It's totally fine if you cant." "It's fine if you say no, I can figure out something else if need be." I don't want to be a burden and I don't like exerting more energy than absolutely necessary, so I have no reason to try to argue with her. It's gotten to the point where we have so little contact, she has to blow up small misunderstandings that happen when we do converse. My uncle sent me a screenshot from my mom to him, which was her saying I needed to do something, I honestly don't remember what. But whatever it was, apparently my dad and my uncle were the ones who wanted me to know that, not her. Which honestly doesn't matter either way to me. But I guess she took whatever I said in response as an attack despite only saying okay or alright as a response, and I had to deal with her and my dad spamming my phone in the middle of the night trying to make this literal non issue, an issue. So I ended up replying that I have no idea why or how this had devolved into what it did, but I have nothing to do with this, and to stop messaging me about it. Surprisingly they did. Finally the most recent thing was that I had talked to my parents, in front of everyone at their house, including my boyfriend and our kids. I told them I wanted to start looking for a job and was wondering if they'd be willing to watch my now two kids for a couple of hours on some of the days that I work, just until we save enough for the down payment at a daycare for them. My main driver for this was that my mom and dad had been pushing for my kids to stay ovespend time with them so i figured if we could do that while I also work that'd really help. Nowhere in my mind do I think I am entitled to my parents help, I just thought that if they were pushing to spend time with them, that this was a perfect opportunity to do so. My parents agreed initially, but when I called them to make plans about it because I had an interview lined up, my mom said she never agreed to anything like that and that she "wasn't going to raise my kids for me." In the end, it wasn't worth an argument and I just said that she could have just said no the first time I brought it up, and I would have just started looking at alternatives for childcare. Pulling this hurtful stunt was unnecessary and cruel. And we haven't spoken much since.
Honestly I doubt they'll ever actually change, which is why I keep them at an arms length. Sorry for the rant, I just needed somewhere to put all of this.

2024.06.02 08:40 Curious_You2605 AITA for wanting my bf's girl bestfriend to cut him off?

I don't understand my bf of two years sometimes. We both are each others' first serious relationships. We've had our fair share of fights and arguments. We've broken up numerous times cause of familial pressure.
He can't text me very often because his mom will tell my parents if she sees and it'll get me into serious trouble. He usually texts me on his alt on instagram. It's been going fine.
However, recently he's been reconnecting with his ex-bsf, who was and is still my bsf (It's how I ended up dating him). He's being really weird with her..
He's someone who says I should not talk to other guys much and things. But he's been probing her to become his "Best Friend For Life" now. He tells me how he doesn't like her and how their friendship means nothing to him. He isn't attracted to her or anything. But he does this.
Simultaneously he also says that I'm his top priority and he is closest with me. Recently, he's been talking to me a lot too but it feels wrong.
He asked her to list out the most attractive guys at school and kinda hinted that she should say his name. He's always been a bit weird when it comes to female friends. My bsf told me that she thinks he wants her to like him so that she will prioritize him and become close to him again. It feels awful.
She said she's cutting him off cus it feels wrong to her and cause he doesn't really respect boundaries. But it hurts. I don't understand him. He claims he loves me and that he values me a lot but he cannot think of me as his top priority. He did used to consider me that but once any other girl comes into the picture, she is the priority and i fade into the background.
Is our relationship merely a dragged out attraction? Is it not built on love? I fear it's mere lust sometimes. It frightens me. I come from a conservative background and all those things we've done mean so much to me. I'm scared. I don't want to lose him but I think I'm just holding onto a dead relationship...
What do I do?
