2024.05.19 06:47 ScherzicScherzo 33 Luck @ Full Health might be more attainable than originally thought.

After seeing Angry Turtle's video on utilizing Herbivore Serums to suppress the negative downsides for the namesake mutation, I noticed that for some reason Seared Venison with Berries benefits somehow from Herbivore Mutation - but only when its negatives are suppressed. My best guess is that Seared Venison has both the Meat and Vegetable flags, so when Herbivore's negatives aren't suppressed, the game sees the "Meat" flag and rightfully excludes its buffs. But when that negative is suppressed, it sees the "Vegetable" flag and doubles its bonus.
This means that with Strange In Numbers active, it gives 8 LCK - or 11 with Live & Love 3/Backwoodsman 6. Getting 25 LCK as a non-Unyielding player is actually pretty easy, relatively - 15 LCK to start, then an additional 5 from Legendary Luck. Add in Herd Mentality + Strange In Numbers - that's +3. Now put on a Shielded Vault Jumpsuit, that's another +2. You're now sitting at 25 LCK - and with Herbivore's negative suppressed, you can eat a Seared Venision w/ Berries for that 8 additional LCK.
15 + 5 + 3 + 2 + 8 = 33.
Is it the most economical avenue? Nnnnooo, not really. There's the cost of buying the Serum Recipe itself (17,500 caps with maxed CHA), the Serum costing Stable Fluorescent Flux, and then Seared Venison itself requires 3 Radstag Meat and 3 Starlight Berries on top of the 2 each of Pepper and Purified Water. But - it is achievable. You can even skip the Shielded Vault Lining if you want to just rely on the 30 minute buffs from either the Fortune Teller, Slot Machine, or Bowling Ball Arcade.
TL;DR Full Health can reach 33 Luck due to Seared Venison somehow both benefiting and not benefiting from Herbivore, but it's a big investment.

#14 - OrbtXL (library clean up)
Just another in the back log that I had with a couple achievements done and wanted to get out of the way (but secretly the only souls like I've ever played. That 75 points is no joke). This guy actually make a bunch of addictive little arcade games like this as mobile games and the XL versions are the ports to steam. Ran perfectly fine and would be great time killers on steam deck. I will definitely snag a few more after my endless back log is cleaned up. The real games I've been working towards are RoboQuest and Zombie Driver HD. Finally beat Guardian 2 on RoboQuest today so getting close. Unfortunately I think Zombie Driver HD may have a bugged achievement and may end up forever unfinished which I'm quite disappointed about. Anyways, thanks for coming to my Ted Talk. See you soon!

2024.05.19 06:08 Cool-Writer-71 Daniel a victim of fair game tactics?

Daniel from Salem is live and just kicked out of an arcade with a whole police escort. Police stating the establishment accused him of exposing himself. He sounds so bummed. He’s in total disbelief that they would do that which makes me believe he was absolutely not exposing himself especially because he was live the whole time. Either Scientology members watching him and using their fair game tactics or trolls. Either way, this guy just cannot catch a break. Even after quitting the protest.

2024.05.19 06:01 P1mpShr1mp [Arcade Machine] [Early 2000s?] First person mech game with unique controller

Hey y'all, a memory popped into my head about an arcade game I remember playing a long time ago as a kid early in the 2000's. I don't remember what exactly the shape of the arcade machine was but the controller stood out to me the most. It was this visor headset thing you placed over your head and you would hold onto these handles with buttons on the sides. I remember you would shoot mechs or some sort of robotic enemy. Did I imagine this thing or does it actually exist?

Hi! Get 25% off your app and I get $5 credit in the store. Thank you!
Here are some exercise apps!
Supernatural, Unreal Fitness: My favorite app and the #1 reason I got Meta. I canceled my gym membership which was acquiring dust. This app gets me moving! Best selections of music, coaches, easily filtered workouts, and you can do "flow" with sabers, or punching, stretching, meditation. Love love love the graphics.

LesMills XR Body Combat:
You can play this sitting down!!! I have an injury so had to pause my Supernatural workouts, and was blown away by being able to sit and get a serious workout in. Very fun punching game (+ leaning, ducking if you want)! Got my frustrations out big time with this motivational game!
Oh Shape!:
Fun game where you can see your silhouette and you move into shapes/ simple positions. There is a zen mode-no points taken off-and you can slow it down. Slowed down, you can really feel the squats!!
Beat Saber: My 12 yo & my spouse love it! It's a bit futuristic looking, like being in an arcade game.
Volleyball Fever: great sim of volleyball!
Thank you very much 🙏

I’m trying to remember the name of this arcade game, and need some help.
It’s a puzzle/board game based on classic game of GO.
Your opponents are aliens/monsters? The circular pieces are red and blue, and when you capture each other’s pieces, the animation is one color pieces spreading out and enveloping the opponent pieces and turning to your color.

2024.05.19 05:07 PerformanceHorror791 Can’t remember the name of this game.

When I had my psp, I was addicted to this game but I can’t remember what it was called. It was like an arcade style game, level after level. It was a maze type of game but in order to pass to the next level you had to collect all gems or diamond or something before advancing. It was animated in like a legend of Zelda or Final Fantasy type of thing. That’s all I really remember. I hope someone on here can figure it out for me.

A game I wish more people would know about!
Post Void is a fast paced arcade like FPS with a mysterious lore behind it. Your main objective is to get your idol to a plant to water it. I feel like it's a really good game to invest your time in and has a lot of replayability!

2024.05.19 04:49 North-Attorney-9579 Recommendations: Plug and play consoles

Hi all! I am looking for a plug and play console/stick which can run retro 8-bit, 16-bit games (think nes, SNES, sega and arcade games). My requirements are:
  1. Good selection of games that can run smoothly - must have contra, double dragon, ninja turtles
  2. Two controllers
  3. Easy connection to TV using hdmi port
  4. Portable if possible
I have seen recommendations for emulators on a laptop or raspberry/pi chips and getting your own games online, sticking it in SD cards etc. Not looking for things where I need to spend additional time setting up before playing (work long hours and can't be bothered to trouble shoot etc).. Something easy, plug and play option is what I am looking for
Thanks

2024.05.19 04:49 ExpertPiano2503 Should I buy this?

I’m waiting on usable pictures for the sub but I Found a modded 360 for 30$ on FB marketplace And the seller says (with video proof) that the system boots all the way but the display is not working. Could this be a simple software issue? Or possibly something that requires more repair? Is it even worth it the potential repair if the console RRODs as it may be early production Xbox because the listing has composite cables show in the picture. If it was you what would you do in my place?
Been wanting a modded 360 ever since I was a youngin on my Xbox arcade playing viva piñata demos and needing the full game 😆but sadly never had the technical knowhow to do the job my self sadly.
Any advice or pointers would be awesome :) Im waiting for a picture of the back of the console to see what motherboard REV the console is and when I know I’ll edit the post

2024.05.19 04:47 YashaAstora The racing game genre has completely retracted into sims and completely over-the-top arcade racers.

I recently reinstalled Gravel on my new gaming PC since it was only 15GB, worked with my wheel, and I hadn't played it in a while. It's a fun game. I sure wish there were others like it.
But seriously, I've also been playing through some older racing games with emulation and the like, and I feel like there was this middle ground of racing games that had cars that behaved just vaguely enough like real ones, but in exaggerated, ridiculous situations, and they just, like, don't exist anymore. Gravel is one of them. The classic Dirt series (yes, including 5) is another. Motorstorm is...was (:c) a good example. These just don't exist anymore. All we have now are sims, yearly licensed titles (F1, soon to be Nascar), Festival racers, and a smattering of legacy series like Need for Speed.
And I know that festival racers like Forza Horizon are kind of what I'm looking for, and I do like Horizon, but man, is that all we get these days lmao? I miss the days of arcade racers with a dash of realism. When we had more than just Horizon and idfk the Crew. Horizon has just swallowed up everything that isn't simulating real motorsports, I guess.

2024.05.19 04:36 Wardyman70 1980s Arcade

1980s Arcade
Watching Fast Times at Ridgemont High, and challenging myself to see if I can name all the games that appear in the arcade shown in the film’s opening sequence. I’ve spotted Pac-Man, Space Invaders, Tempest, Star Castle, and one I can’t identify. Regardless, it’s a cool peak at an arcade in 1982.

2024.05.19 04:31 Visual_Accident1809 [Playstation 2] [early 2000's] Obsucure party game/minigame collection that played like warioware; had japanese aesthetic.

Me and my sister used to play this 2 player "party game" (for a lack of better term). It could be played solo, but in two player vs mode, player one and two were represented as red and blue (or vice versa), the screen was split in half left/right side during gameplay. It was a constant flow of minigames that needed to be accomplished before proceeding onto the next one (kind of WarioWare vibes).
It gradually increased in difficulty and had a lives and scoring system, so it sort of had arcade-y vibes as well. In two player, the winner was whoever was the last remaining player. The art style was some sort of 2.5D that resembled claymation I think? (Or maybe like wooden dollhouse aesthetic; very hazy memory here).
I only vaguely remember two of the minigames. In one of them, both red and blue players were cops/detectives with suits and matching bowler caps that had their player color on them. I want to say their eyes were hidden under the shade of their caps, and they had moustaches large enough to cover their mouths too? (That level of detail is a bit of a reach though). I do not remember what the objective of the minigame was.
The other minigame involved the stereotypical colored candy dumplings on a wooden skewer (I think they are called Dango Dumplings? Had to google image search them). I don't exactly remember the objective of this minigame either, but I think it involved either stacking or bouncing the dumplings using the stick.
Aside from that, various flashback memories of "spot the difference" type minigames, possibly a target shooting minigame too?
