Due to numerous disparaging comments by multiple individuals, I have reposted my article.
Heckling does not change what occurred. People need to know these truths, especially those who have experienced the same. They need to know they are sane, that such things are indeed being perpetrated, and the perpetrators use shame to silence them and protect their activities.
I write to encourage them not to listen to disparaging people who speak without knowledge.

I am Joseph Cafariello, a Canadian citizen and ex-member of the Canadian military. Of sound mind, not on medication, not a drug user, not a marijuana smoker, not an alcohol drinker, with no mental disorders.
I recently posted to this Liberty subreddit experiences of harassment by the Vancouver police and fire departments (Vancouver, BC, Canada). I’m the fellow who was repeatedly ordered by police to stay out of Vancouver’s Stanley Park, and was continually harassed whenever I visited the park (which I do every second day on my early morning walks).
I'm happy to say their following me reduced to almost nothing immediately upon posting those experiences here, and people no longer exit their cars to stand on the path as I walk by (which I described in that post). They were either informed of my post or found it themselves, seeing as my internet activity, and phone activity for that matter, are under continuous surveillance (plenty of proof which I will not include here to avoid running off-topic).
In this post, I would like to shed some light on other harassment which is still ongoing, since it occurs in private, away from potential observers. It involves the Canadian and US militaries.
Havana Syndrome
In 2016, numerous employees of the Canadian and US embassies in Havana, Cuba, started experiencing head injuries ranging from mild headaches to concussions. It happened in their sleep, and came to be called Havana Syndrome.
Wikipedia explains (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Havana\_syndrome):
“Havana syndrome is a cluster of idiopathic symptoms experienced mostly abroad by U.S. government officials and military personnel. The symptoms range in severity from pain and ringing in the ears to cognitive dysfunction and were first reported in 2016 by U.S. and Canadian embassy staff in Havana, Cuba. Beginning in 2017, more people, including U.S. intelligence and military personnel and their families, reported having these symptoms in other places, such as China, India, Europe, and Washington, D.C. The U.S. Department of State, Department of Defense, and other federal entities have called the events "Anomalous Health Incidents" (AHI). Of over a thousand purported cases, the majority of US investigative bodies found only a few dozen cases to be suspicious.”
Ladies and gentlemen, I can tell you exactly what happens, because I have been experiencing this since I first joined the Canadian military back in 2002, and am still experiencing these “torments” (as I call them) to this day, already 3 years after leaving the military.
I go to bed. In about 15 minutes, just as I am on the cusp of falling asleep, a hear and feel a heavy thud reverberate and ultimately strike my skull. My body releases a sharp burst of adrenalin, my heart starts racing, and my blood’s circulation speeds up significantly. Depending on the severity of the blow, it can take me anywhere from 30 minutes to an hour to fall asleep again. Though there have been times I could not return to sleep for more than 2 hours.
A strong headache is felt immediately, and lasts for hours. There have been times when my heart felt like it was going to burst, having been startled as such.
The pulse to the head sometimes reverberates through the wall and my bed’s headboard. I distinctly feel as though I have been hit on the top of my skull. At other times, it feels as though the pulse has come through the air, striking the side of my skull.
This is not a sleep disorder, for it does not occur regularly. At times, my sleep is disturbed in this manner 3 or 4 days in a row. At other times, there is no disturbance for up to a week. But they never let me go more than a week without such interruptions to my sleep.
Neither is it sleep apnea, as I do not awaken gasping for breath. The pounding headaches, sudden release of adrenaline, and heart palpitations I experience are caused by external impacts of sound waves or air bursts.
Sonic Weapons
How these pulses are produced is not easy to identify. As Wikipedia explains:
“Once the story became public, various U.S. government representatives attributed the incidents to attacks by unidentified foreign actors, and various U.S. officials blamed the reported symptoms on a variety of unidentified and unknown technologies, including ultrasound and microwave weapons.”
Sonic weapons have been in use for many years by militaries, and by police in crowd control. As Wikipedia explains (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sonic\_weapon):
“Some sonic weapons make a focused beam of sound or of ultrasound; others produce an area field of sound. As of 2023 military and police forces make some limited use of sonic weapons.”
(Do not believe the 2023 timeline. The Canadian military has been using these weapons since the early 2000’s at the latest.)
Wikipedia continues:
“Extremely high-power sound waves can disrupt or destroy the eardrums of a target and cause severe pain or disorientation. This is usually sufficient to incapacitate a person. Less powerful sound waves can cause humans to experience nausea or discomfort.”
The users of these technologies must also be using thermal detection equipment to monitor the target’s sleep. As I mentioned, I most often feel these blows the moment I am falling asleep. Body temperature drops when we sleep, and brain activity slows. Heat-detection equipment is likely being used to identify the point at which the target is falling asleep.
Why they prefer to strike at the start of someone’s sleep as opposed to the middle of their sleep, I do not know. Perhaps their intent is to deprive the body of early sleep, limiting the amount of deep sleep available to the person before their alarm rings in the morning.
Ordinary Hammers
Not all such “torments” (as I call them) are caused by high-tech equipment. I have heard and felt distinct hammer strikes running along the 2x4 beams inside my walls. These strikes can be a single hard strike, or several strikes in a row. It is definitely caused by a person with a hammer because the intervals between strikes are equidistant in time; that is, the time spacing between strikes is not random and does not change from strike to strike, but is constant between strikes, exactly as when someone is hammering. And no, it is not someone hanging pictures at 1:30 am, multiple times a week, for years.
On one occasion, when I was standing at my kitchen sink, I felt the floor-board directly under my feet pulse so sharply it felt like a brick had struck the soles of my feet. In this case, my military neighbour likely used a hammer to strike the floorboard on his side of the wall. It is the only plausible explanation.
Surveillance
This leads to surveillance of one’s activities at home. I have plenty of proofs of that. They seem insignificant on an individual basis. But when you put them all together, they present a clear picture of home surveillance.
My laptop computer’s lid cracked one night, at the bottom left corner of the screen. The next day at work, I heard my military supervisor relate to another co-worker that the night before, his laptop computer’s lid cracked at the bottom left corner. I swear to the Lord in Heaven, I am being truthful.
I tested my suspicion of being surveilled. At home one night, I blurted out-loud, “VW Passat. What an ugly sounding word, ‘Passat’”, I said. A few days later, my military colleagues at work started playing a card game at lunch, invented by one of them. The name he gave his game was “Passat”, and when he spoke it, he looked at me for a reaction. If you ever contact the Halifax military base, ask for the Claims Department and ask them if they are still playing Passat.
On another occasion, at a time when I frequented the gym every second day for a few years, I suspected my van had been fitted with a listening device. I suspected so because a number of things I had spoken with people about on my phone while in my van (nothing illegal) were repeated by people at the gym in conversations among themselves. Too many times, parts of other people's conversations matched parts of conversations I had had with others while I was in my van.
I already knew my phone was being tapped, but I also suspected my van was bugged. So one evening while driving in my van, I blurted out-loud a number of things I said I hated. "I hate (this or that)"; "I hate it when...". One of them was, "I hate when people chew gum with their mouths open." I then vocalized an exaggerated gnawing sound, "Gnaw. Gnaw. Gnaw."
The very next time I went to the gym, 2 days later, while I was at an exercise, a fellow sat at an exercise directly behind me. And sure enough, he started chewing with his mouth open, vocalizing that gnawing sound, "Gnaw. Gnaw. Gnaw." I didn't look behind at him, because I knew what was going on, and I wanted to avoid playing into his hand. So he repeated himself again and again until I was done and moved to a different station. Now, honestly, who chews gum at the gym? You can't. Or you run the risk of choking for the heavy breathing, not to mention when laying down on benches. And with precisely the same exaggerated vocalized gnawing sound I had made in my van just 2 days prior.
Their whole intent is to let you know you are being surveilled. They want you to know, as both a warning and a provocation. They want you to say something, to launch accusations, which they would readily deny, making you look paranoid. If you react too strongly, they could even have you diagnosed with some kind of disorder, and put you on medication, which further plays into their hand. (More regarding medications in the last section of this post.)
This is why, as I mentioned in my previous post, they would park their cars shining their high beams on me as I walked past them during my morning walk. And why on some occasions, a group of 3 or 4 would exit their cars and stand on my path just as I approached, forcing me to go around them. They would then remain standing on the path until my return trip through, and after I had passed by the second time, then would then return to their cars - making it absolutely clear I was their interest.
Their intent is not only to make me aware, but also to present themselves in close proximity to me, within easy reach, in the hope I would confront them, resulting in an altercation that could land me in a lot of hot water - 4 witnesses against me, all pleading innocence.
Again, it is all designed to make you look bad, and to warrant some kind of legal measure against you - preferably a medical diagnosis, discrediting you in everything you say about them. If they can't refute your claims, their only remaining option is to discredit you. That's what all of these tricks are designed to accomplish. Who would believe anything you say, once you have been diagnosed with a disorder?
There are plenty more examples. But who would really believe them? I’ll save them for the future.
Home Invasion
Both during and after my military service, I have had my apartments entered without any signs of break-ins. How? Lock-picking and duplicate keys. Indications? Missing objects; ie: money, phone adaptor, etc. Nothing major. Just something to make us understand we are being watched, and to make us understand what they can do.
But it is always something small, something for which you would be ridiculed for divulging.
Two more examples: I found my razor, which I always lay-down razor-end to the wall, turned around, razor-end toward me. Also, in one of my house slippers I found a small shoe sticker on the up-side of the heel. I had those slipper for years, and never had any shoe stickers on them. Yet there it was, clearly visible on the top surface of my slipper, not the bottom. Could I have stepped on a shoe sticker when barefoot in my apartment, only to have the sticker transfer itself to my slipper when I wore it? How many shoe stickers do you have laying around your apartment that you can accidentally step onto?
If I had stepped onto a sticker in my apartment and had it stick to my heel, that means the sticky side was up against my skin. This means the sticker would have had to flip upside down such that the sticky side would then be down, allowing the sticker to stick to the slipper. Do you really think that happened? That sticker was not there when I left my apartment, but it was there when I returned. And it was the wrong sticker, wrong brand, wrong size.
Again, what is their intent? To make someone look ridiculous so no one will believe them should they speak of other more sensitive things.
Staged Incidents
The above incidents clearly point to coordinated and staged events (at my work, my home, on my walks, etc). This is so frequently met with incredulity. "But that would require coordination on the part of so many people," the public dismisses. "They wouldn't do that."
Oh yes they would, and they have, as explained in https://fightgangstalking.com/. Note the documented cases involving the Canadian Security Intelligence Service (CSIS, Canada's equivalent to the US' CIA) and the Royal Canadian Mounted Police (RCMP, Canada's national police force) in the second quote, which were reported in national newspapers.

“Disruption operations often involve tactics which are illegal, but difficult to prove. These tactics include – but are not limited to – overt surveillance (stalking), slander, blacklisting, “mobbing” (intense, organized harassment in the workplace), “black bag jobs” [home invasions], abusive phone calls, computer hacking, framing, threats, blackmail, vandalism, “street theater” (staged physical and verbal interactions with minions of the people who orchestrate the stalking), harassment by noises, and other forms of bullying. Many of these tactics were used by the FBI during its illegal COINTELPRO operations, as documented by stolen official documents and subsequent Congressional investigations.
"Although the general public is mostly unfamiliar with the practice, references to “disruption” operations – described as such – do occasionally appear in the news media, even though that fact would apparently be news to the editors of The New York Times. In May 2006, for example, an article in The Globe and Mail, a Canadian national newspaper, reported that the Canadian Security Intelligence Service (CSIS) and the Royal Canadian Mounted Police (RCMP) used “Diffuse and Disrupt” tactics against suspects for whom they lacked sufficient evidence to prosecute. A criminal defense attorney stated that many of her clients complained of harassment by authorities, although they were never arrested."
She can add me to that list too.
For the Benefit of Others
The experiences I have recounted here seem so trivial, so insignificant, they make you look ridiculous if you talk about them. But if we don’t talk about such things, no one will ever know about them. Other people have experienced the same, and are forced to endure such torments in silence. They need encouragement to talk about their own experiences, and so I write about mine in the hope they will talk about theirs, even if I do look ridiculous. The perpetrators are more ridiculous for doing them.
I remember a military colleague being hauled away by military police one morning, as she was struggling and having a violent fit. A fellow on her floor told me she was throwing chairs at her walls screaming, “Stop it! Stop it! Stop it!”. When he mentioned that, I knew exactly what they had done to her. She was considered unruly, and was being watched intently. They wanted her out, and that is how they accomplished it. Through wall tapping and sleep deprivation, they push you to the breaking point. And when you finally lose control and do something rash, they pounce on you, and you’re out. Now she has a criminal record, considered a criminal when in reality she was a victim. Welcome to the Canadian military, and other militaries besides, I am sure.
There are dozens upon dozens of experiences I could present. But who will really read them? Worse still, who will really believe them? I overheard my military supervisor in Halifax whisper to another, “Do you think he knows?”, after I had mentioned one of the many “coincidences” I experienced, but with a tone of my being aware it was not a mere coincidence. As I turned my face to my computer screen, I whispered under my breath, but still loud enough for him to hear, “Yes, (rank) (name), I know.” A few minutes later, as he walked past my desk, he leaned in by my ear and whispered, “We’re just trying to help you.” I should have pressed him for answers right then and there, but you just don’t know how much trouble you can get into when making such accusations in the military. So I let it go. But I will never forget.
Should anyone reading this ever decide to launch some kind of inquiry, I can mention names of over 100 people to contact, including military personnel, family members, neighbours, building managers, and others who have been contacted by military personnel with false narratives about me. They flash their ID’s and other credentials, and people believe anything they say. They turn family, friends, co-workers and neighbours against you, even recruiting their participation. Your acquaintances not only participate, but actually feel justified and emboldened playing tricks on you. It isn't their fault, though; they have been misled. I would reference them solely for corroboration.
As a final thought, here are explanations of two military programs in which certain persons (sometimes military, sometimes civilian) are kept under constant surveillance, and are in some cases subjected to conditioning in an attempt to turn them into what is called a “sleeper agent”. Almost all of the tactics presented below have been experience by me, including constant surveillance (ie: my previous post here regarding being harassed on my morning walks) and sleep deprivation (as per the top portion of this post, which other military members in Cuba and elsewhere around the world have also experienced).
Pentagon’s Signature Reduction Program

How to Develop a Hypnotic Sleeper Agent

Note that I have experienced almost all of the tactics described below, including the stalking I mentioned in my previous post here (regular walks in the park), the sleep deprivation noted at the top of this post, and the surveillance and intrusions described here as well.
Quoting the now-removed webpage: “How to Develop a Hypnotic Sleeper Agent” (from here to end of post):
Amid all the conspiracy theories one of the most feared is that there exist "sleeper agents" in our society who are programmed to come into service when they are triggered by a phone call or key word.
These alleged sleeper agents don't even know they are programmed to become saboteurs, soldiers, suicide bomber, etc because of the thoroughness of their programming. They are the feared "Manchurian Candidate" that the movies portray.
The question is "Are they real?"
If they are true sleeper agents there is no way of telling until they are activated. One can however theorize exactly how they are made.
Indoctrination
Using indoctrination a person can be made to embrace a religious or philosophical belief that would make becoming a sleeper agent possible.
This would be a person so committed to an ideal they would be willing to wait patiently as a member of society until they are called into action. These people would know their mission and consciously hold it secret while interacting with the rest of society.
Conditioning
Conditioning is a repetitive process where the desired responses are enforced and rewarded and unwanted responses are punished. This can be done consciously as part of training drill and it can be done subconsciously using hypnosis or drugs to create amnesia.
Hypnosis
It has been demonstrated that hypnosis can create "amnesia walls" in which the subject has no conscious memory of what happened in the hypnosis session. It has further been demonstrated that hypnosis can give post hypnotic instruction to be carried out automatically in the waking state without the subject knowing it or questioning the behavior.
What follows is conjecture and theory based on testimonials of people who were alleged to be sleeper agents and soldiers.
Continuous Supervisions
Continuous supervision doesn't mean that the subject is cut off completely from society. It means that they are constantly overseen and every aspect of their lives are managed (without their knowledge or consent) to support their hypnotic programming.
This would include:
• Repeated reinforcement of all hypnotic conditioning.
• Handlers. Handlers are people who help maintain the subjects environment to maintain all the programming. They can play the role of family, friends, lovers, psychologists, coaches or any roll the subject perceives as supportive. The truth is the handlers are their to support the successful fulfillment of the programming and not the subject as a person.
• Minimal sleep so that the mind/brain does not process all the sleeper conditioning during sleep.
• Creating constant environmental challenges like unemployment or poverty. This gives the subject something other than their programming to focus on.
• Frequent hospitalization. This gives overt opportunity to sedate the subject for conditioning. If the subject has a history of hospitalizations for mental disturbances all the better. No one will take them seriously.

PS... Today is the second day after this post (February 12, 2024). A garbage truck just slammed into my parked car.
PPS... I finish writing this post because I am satisfied with its shape and content; not because of what happened to my car.
It is similar to when you are reaching for your coat, and someone tells you, "Take your coat." Since you have to take your coat, your brain tells you it's ok to obey them, and you comply. They just created an instance where they led you, and you followed them. And your brain accepted it.
It's a technique the military uses all the time. It trains you to accept instructions from that person or group. Done enough times, you become comfortable obeying them.
I just say, "I take my coat because I choose to, not because you tell me to." It's important to make that clear, to block the conditioning and affirm our self-governance; not just to them, but to ourselves as well. Now our brain realizes we took our coat by our own choice; we are still in command.
So too, I say regarding today's event. "Thanks for the warning, but I had already finished writing my post. I finished by my own choosing."
UPDATES: February 26 & March 07, 2024:
My apartment was once again entered while I was out. Either a key was used or the lock was picked. This may or may not have included assistance from building staff. Home invasions are included in the list of their techniques noted above, referred to as "black bag jobs".
All tenants on my floor received new fridges a couple of weeks ago. I removed the tape securing the bins inside my new fridge, and also removed all styrofoam pads from the corners of the glass shelves when I repositioned them.
The person(s) who have been invading my living space on a regular basis have struck again. As you can see in the photo below, the styrofoam pads on the corners of my fridge's shelves were restored when I was out of my apartment. I had removed all pads when I repositioned the shelves. Yet now they are back.
It is a tactic used to undermine our observational awareness in an attempt to make us second-guess and doubt ourselves. The aim is to cause people to feel less sure not only of the things we have done, but also feel less sure of the things others have done. They want us to question the accuracy of our observations and memory.
The idea is to train you to dismiss any anomalies you may observe as being your own misperception of things. Once they convince you not to trust your own judgement, they are free to do whatever they want to you, and you will simply accept it without questioning.
UPDATE: May 18, 2024:
Confrontations keep occurring with individuals, at times potentially violent. Following are just 3 such encounters as of late.
1 - Kick-boxer in the park:
As I parked my car in one of the parking lots in Vancouver's Stanley Park one night, another vehicle drove up behind me and parks several spots away. A tall man exited that vehicle, and walked hastily along the path I always walk, down some steps to the water's sea wall path. I took my time and followed my usual walk, also down the steps down to the sea wall. The man knew my routine, and was in a hurry to get ahead of me.
As I walk along the sea wall, I see the same man sitting on a bench, playing a loud Persian-sounding religious sermon on some device I did not clearly see. As I walked past him, he called out to me to stop and chat. I ignored him and continued walking past him. He rose and started walking behind me.
I opened my umbrella, turned, and walked past him the other way, returning to the stairs back to the parking lot. He also turned and continued following me. I started running. He also started running. I ran up the steps, as did he.
Being taller than I am, his legs are longer than mine, and he quickly caught up to me on a grassy patch at the top of the steps. I turned to him and asked, "Why are you following me?" He did not reply, but stood profile to me, the same stance a kick-boxer uses when ready to kick someone. He was tall, thin, and in excellent physical shape as you would see in a kick-boxer.
He did not speak at all, but was just waiting for me to make a move. I turned, entered my vehicle and left. The encounter continued with a chase through the park in our cars. Yes, that is correct. He chased me out of the park in his car.
2 - Told to keep quiet:
The perpetrators need to operate with as little detection as possible, and they repeatedly warn their subjects to keep their mouths shut about their experiences.
On another of my recent nightly walks through Stanley Park, a man stood on the sidewalk ahead of me about 50 meters away, looked at me, and shouted into the sky at nobody, giving the appearance of being a homeless person shouting for no reason. He then started walking in my direction. I continued walking straight. As he passed me, he leans into my face and shouts into my ear, "Shut the f_ck up!" I continued walking in my direction, and he resumed walking in his.
The idea is to make it seem as though he is just a deranged man wandering the streets at night, shouting at nothing, so that when he shouts at me, any observer would simply dismiss his actions. But in reality, he was sent to send me a message to stop publishing posts like this, which I had done many times on many sites, and continue to. The truth must be known.
3 - You'll be sorry:
On another occassion, while returning from grocery shopping one afternoon, I walked past a man sitting by a storefront. He was clean-cut, wearing clean clothes, without any carts or wagons or any belongings of any kind. As I past him, he asked me for some spare change. I replied, "I'm sorry," and continued walking past. He replied, "You will be."
There are multiple other experience, like two seemingly unassociated men standing on the sea wall about 100 meters away from each other, each of them spitting just as I walked past each of them.
There are too many experiences to mention. Looking at each experience individually, one would easily dismiss them as being unrelated and simply coincidental. But put them all together and a picture starts to form, like putting together the pieces of a puzzle.
As I hand you each piece of the puzzle one by one, you dismiss each piece, saying, "This could be anything." And you discard it. You keep discarding each piece as I hand it to you. By the end of it, you look down at the table and say, "You have nothing." That's because you looked at each piece as a separate item and threw it away. But if you leave the pieces on the table as I hand them to you and do not hastily discard them, you will see they form a clear picture when put all together.
We must look at all these events as a whole. Individually, each one could be anything. But when all of these experiences are put together and considered as a whole, they form an undeniable picture. Do not be quick to dismiss each piece. Leave the pieces on the table and look at the whole. The picture I present is sound. Remember, I have all the pieces; you do not. I see the picture more clearly than you do.

I have an email on one of my accounts(the one that has all of my games and information) but as I do not use that email(note I still have access to this email) I want to change the email assigned to my account. Simple enough, so I went to the website to change emails but oh no, google decided that because I logged in with google once before by accident there is "already an account with that email". Please help.

Alright so I'm trying to trade a t rex for blizzard spirit rumble and portal. It's an even trade considering I'm gonna have to put paw or more fruits to make the trade possible cause of same value bullcrap with trading in game which is annoying. Anyways I'm getting off topic as I was saying im offering this trade and I don't even know how to describe what this kid was looking on but he was trying to say t rex trade value was 20 mil when it's 25 and when I ask what he was using he said he was using bloxfruitvalues.com on safari which for one u shouldn't use safari use Google like everyone else and when I checked this website it had three options blox fruit values, buy a car and order a pizza. So immediately this site screams inaccurate but I decided to look at the values so I press on the blox fruit button and it brings me to some page saying click this link to go to website and when I did it just kept bringing me to pintrest no matter how many times i tried. So I look at this kids comments cause he seems like a brat cause he just started saying stay mad " I don't need explain why that's annoying and if anyone says that to me in real life I'm punching you in the throat" and it seems normal at first glance I didn't fully deep dive into he's comments. But the first comments I noticed was the typical I hate my mom and her pets which to me says emo this gets supported cause I saw he comments on a lgbtq server "sorry if I spelled that wrong I don't really care for that stuff" which is either him leaving homophobic comments or and I'm not insulting the lgbtq community fo whatever brings toy joy im just going off of past experiences not all lgbtq people are spoiled brats and assholes or he's one of those kids who lives a normal life and he makes drama cause he doesn't get any drama in his life. Before anyone says "he's probably effected by his parents separating" my parents are separated to heck I've been forced to cut out my own mother for mine and my father's well being and guess what I don't use that as an excuse to be a snotty nosed little brat. If you don't know fruit values or you use some wierd website that you know nobody else uses then don't trade just look at fruit values and you don't need to be told what a fruit is worth cause if you just use your brain and realize hey dough is only really good for pvp while something like t rex can be used for more then just pvp maybe just maybe that means it will be more valuable then a one trick pony and also fruit value is not demand dough has high demand cause people just want high bounty and don't want to have learn how to pvp the same goes for portal with both of these fruits you either do incredibly high damage and stun or it allows you to run away because you end up fighting someone who knows how to play and they won't let you use your one hit combo. Value is based off how versatile a fruit can be used like kitsune while yes it can be amazing to spam with especially since your so lazy that you can't even be bothered to press a couple buttons on your keyboard but it can be used for grinding traveling boss fights and whatever else you wanna do. I hope this gave smart people a laugh and a oh good im not the only one who deals with this and I hope it helps someone learn what fruit value actually is and its not just a bunch of random numbers on your screen. Anyways thanks for listening to my rant.

Just finished doing my page-by-page read-thru of the adventure. I give it a 7/10 that could be easily pushed to about a 9 with some DM tweaks and changes.
Here's my quick take on it (SPOILERS SPOILERS SPOILERS):
PROS: * The art is beautiful throughout. As always, I wish there was more, but I know I'm being greedy. * The power of secrets mechanic is a neat twist, especially if they're saved up until the end. Of course, I wouldn't let my players know that. DM advice - Add more interesting secrets, clarify mechanics of spending secrets to players * We get to visit a part of the Shadowfell that isn't a Domain of Dread. * Kas as Mordenkainen will make for a great twist if the secret can stay hidden. Seems like ANY mild google search by players will give it away. DM advice - Make Mordenkainen super close to players. If players are the type to question everything, perhaps drop hints that maybe something is going on with one of the other Wizards Three. \* Sanctum in Sigil, connection to Planescape. DM advice - Roam around Sigil a bit. Do shopping in between chapters with all that loot players are getting. * Wish spell summoning characters is a neat idea. DM advice - Perhaps make it an "upgraded" wish spell since three mega-magic users are casting it. * Vecna cultists siphoning secrets is a neat idea. DM advice - Have the cultists appear somewhere later on in the adventure, not just chapter 1. \* The clues that Mordenkainen is Kas that are found in the sanctum are pretty neat, and appropriately challenging to find. DM advice - Don't let your characters find out that secret. It is your duty. \* Rod of Seven parts is a cool magic item. * Spiderdragon is cool. Excited for the miniature. * Hertilod is cool. Excited for the miniature. * The Ruined Colossus chapter sounds fun over all. Eberron is the setting I am least familiar with but I was impressed with this chapter, particularly moving up and around Landro. * Blazebear is cool. Excited for the miniature. * I know I'm in the minority with this one... Death house seems fun to me! The Strahd fight seems nerve-wracking for players and the haunted zones will be fun to roleplay. * Deathwolf is cool. Excited for the miniature. * Black Rose Bearer is cool. Excited for the miniature. * Tomb of Wayward Souls (Chapter 7) looks fun - I'm pretty into dungeon diving. Some of the puzzles are clunky but overall I think it will be a good time. * Rerak. His art is great and spooky. For some reason Rerak's resentment toward Acererak comes off as silly and charming to me... in a good way. I think it will be fun to roleplay. * The Red Belvedere (in Chapter 8) sounds fun to run. Interesting layout. Convincing the Pit Masters to let you in to the Dragon's Pride is an interesting challenge. * Windfall is cool. Excited for the miniature. * Kas is a fun villain. Love his artwork (especially in the Character Dossier). DM advice - Make sure the legendary Sword of Kas shows up somehow. * Camlash is cool. Excited for the miniature. * Miska is cool. Excited for the miniature. * Mirror Shade is cool. Excited for the miniature. * Nice that we get a taste of a lot of different settings. Seems a little gimicky (I mean, it IS gimicky, 50 year anniversary and all...) but still fun.
CONS: * While the "link to Vecna" is an interesting and at-times necessary mechanic for players, the way in which they receive it, as written, is weak. DM change origin or cause of this link. \* No connection to obelisks mentioned in other adventures at all. Wasted opportunity. * The gridded map of the sanctum that is included with the book isn't scaled correctly for miniatures. Weird. * Chime of Exile seems lame. * Lambent Zenith map seems a bit tricky to navigate. * Dragonlance is my favorite D&D setting so this one is the biggest bummer for me... Night of Blue Fire (Chapter 6) does not sound fun. Does not seem like Dragonlance. * Bone Roc is kinda lame to me and doesn't seem necessary. * Borthok is cool mechanically but the design is boring. Big wolf? * Moonlight Guardian design is so so lame. * Lunar dragon doesn't target players upon its arrival. DM advice - That dragon is going to target those players. We will fight a dragon. \* Having players be THAT close to Tiamat's lair and not have an encounter with Arkhan the Cruel - who has the HAND OF VECNA - seems like a missed opportunity. * Chapter 10 and 11 have a messy structure. Hard to grasp exactly what's going on and the timing for everything seems off. How is Kas moving around so fast and doing so much in Pandesmos when you were hot on his tail? * The battle between the forces of Kas/Miska and Vecna/Lolth aren't represented well on Pandesmos. DM advice - Bring in some "battlefield mechanics" (like "the Fray" in SotDQ) when moving from place to place. \* Miska is written as being stuck in the portal and has his strength/powers severely subdued. After all the trouble of getting the rod of seven parts, this seems like a waste. DM advice - Miska is coming out of that portal at full power. The players are fighting Miska. \* One design for the different types of Spyder-Fiends? I hope we see more with miniatures. \* Vecna's unrealities at the end are too few... and lame. * Vecna fight seems rushed... and lame. DM advice - Buff Vecna. Adjust the teleport crystals in the Cave of Shattered Reflection to make it harder for players (but not Vecna) to navigate. Make it so some players will be "trapped" behind a crystal wall with Vecna, separated from their friends. \* Vecna is merely banished/shifted to Oerth? Anticlimactic. I've heard that it is because of future plans with Greyhawk but... still. \* This campaign's marketing. So much hype on Vecna but you see him for an underwhelming final battle only. So much hype on these D&D heavy hitters (Strahd, Lord Soth, Lolth, Tiamat, etc.) but they're barely involved, if at all. Stat blocks given and everything. I'm totally fine with them not coming in to play (with the structure of this adventure I actually think they should NOT be) but don't sell us on the idea that they will be. MY advice - They should have marketed this adventure around Kas (I know that in that case they couldn't do the Mordenkainen twist, would have to change things) and have Vecna just make his appearance at the end as it is. Could maybe even have Vecna's involvement in the adventure be a surprise twist somehow?

It's not complete yet, still have more to do (the list of plans listed out at the bottom. My guess is that we're leaning towards OP here, but I'm not sure how much. Very open to critique, criticisms, and suggestions!
Note: I'm not a competitive player, nor even a Custodes player (I play 'nids) but Custodes deserve fun rules and I like writing rules for games. Also want to shout out the custom detachments by superboyROC and pressST4RT, I took a few ideas (Enhancements and Strats) straight from them.

Changes

Bonus Army Rule: Aegis of the Emperor gives a 6++ vs MW and Dev Wounds. This rule is given to all "standard" Custodes Infantry (e.g. not Sisters)
New Ka'tah Stance: Kaptaris. Not the Index rule, but instead giving the option to force battleshock on an enemy unit (probably at –1). Fits a bit more with the fantasy of "trap the enemy and disorient them". Also quite good in Null Maidens.
Unit Changes:
Auric Champions I put this one out there a month or so back, but I've made a few changes since then.
Shield Host The intent here was a flexible, all Custodes detachment primarily focused on durability
Emperor's Wrath I wanted to contrast the previous Shield Host with an offense-oriented all Custodes detachment

I genuinely think I am going insane. In August 2023, I upgraded my PC from the AM4 platform to the AM5 platform. To provide a comprehensive overview, I will share the PcPartPicker lists for both PCs, along with the detailed specs here.

Ever since I upgraded to the AM5 platform, in many games, within the first 1 - 10 minutes of launching (regardless of whether I stay in the lobby or queue into a match), my frames drop below 5 FPS and stay like that from anywhere between 20 seconds to 3 minutes. GPU utilization drops from 20% to 99% (depending on the game) to 1% to 5%. DPC latency for Nvidia and other drivers spikes like crazy. I've attached the LatencyMon reports.
Once it returns to normal, it STAYS normal until I restart my PC. The thing is, there are only some games like this. For example, it always happens in Valorant (not resource intensive) and Apex Legends (resource intensive). I play these two at low settings. However, it never happens in Forza Horizon 5 and Forza Motorsport (2023), and I play both at max settings in 1440p!
I've RMA'd the motherboard and CPU and even tried swapping the graphics card with a 4060, yet the issue still persisted. This never happens when I run Cinebench or casually use my PC. My BIOS, OS (Windows 11 23H2), and every single damn driver on my PC is up-to-date. I check every day for updates on everything. I may be the most up-to-date man in my city. I have also ruled out thermal throttling, as my CPU is stays below 75c when these drops happen, and before.
I've clean-installed Windows 11 countless times with no luck. I've played with no additional software on my PC, just drivers, and it still happens. I contacted NVIDIA support, but customer service couldn't fix it. I got forwarded to "level 2 tech support", and they said, "We will look into it on our side." I followed up consistently for weeks and never got a response back. I even made a new ticket, which got closed with no response. I even emailed their HQ (I think), and never got a response from them either.
I'm considering giving up and getting ready to splurge on a Ryzen 9 9900X when it's released. I believe it has something to do with the 3D-Vcache, and I prefer having a fixed overclock and finding its stable limits. At this point, I am insanely desperate for any fix. Please feel free to ask any questions that would help troubleshoot. Keep in mind that the screenshots were taken a few months ago when I submitted the support ticket to NVIDIA.

I genuinely think I am going insane. In August 2023, I upgraded my PC from the AM4 platform to the AM5 platform. To provide a comprehensive overview, I will share the PcPartPicker lists for both PCs, along with the detailed specs here. Ever since I upgraded to the AM5 platform, in many games, within the first 1 - 10 minutes of launching (regardless of whether I stay in the lobby or queue into a match), my frames drop below 5 FPS and stay like that from anywhere between 20 seconds to 3 minutes. GPU utilization drops from 20% to 99% (depending on the game) to 1% to 5%. DPC latency for Nvidia and other drivers spikes like crazy. I've attached the LatencyMon reports. Once it returns to normal, it STAYS normal until I restart my PC. The thing is, there are only some games like this. For example, it always happens in Valorant (not resource intensive) and Apex Legends (resource intensive). I play these two at low settings. However, it never happens in Forza Horizon 5 and Forza Motorsport (2023), and I play both at max settings in 1440p! I've RMA'd the motherboard and CPU and even tried swapping the graphics card with a 4060, yet the issue still persisted. This never happens when I run Cinebench or casually use my PC. My BIOS, OS (Windows 11 23H2), and every single damn driver on my PC is up-to-date. I check every day for updates on everything. I may be the most up-to-date man in my city. I have also ruled out thermal throttling, as my CPU is stays below 75c when these drops happen, and before. I've clean-installed Windows 11 countless times with no luck. I've played with no additional software on my PC, just drivers, and it still happens. I contacted NVIDIA support, but customer service couldn't fix it. I got forwarded to "level 2 tech support", and they said, "We will look into it on our side." I followed up consistently for weeks and never got a response back. I even made a new ticket, which got closed with no response. I even emailed their HQ (I think), and never got a response from them either. I'm considering giving up and getting ready to splurge on a Ryzen 9 9900X when it's released. I believe it has something to do with the 3D-Vcache, and I prefer having a fixed overclock and finding its stable limits. At this point, I am insanely desperate for any fix. Please feel free to ask any questions that would help troubleshoot. Keep in mind that the screenshots were taken a few months ago when I submitted the support ticket to NVIDIA.

Within the last couple of days, there has been bad storms throughout the city I live in. This has caused power lines to go down in some areas.
Me and my wife recently bought our first home slightly away from the city. We fortunately did not lose power and have had no issues up here.
We’ve been checking in with family over the past couple of days. Making sure it’s not too hot, check if they need anything. We also offered if people need, they could come up and charge phones and get some cool air if they’re struggling with the heat. We didn’t at anytime offer anyone to stay the night because our guest room is full of boxes and there’s no where to sleep at this time.
Yesterday, I got a message from my nephew asking what we were up to. I let him know that both me and my wife were at work and we’d be home in the next couple of hours. I asked him if he would like to come up and chill and charge his phone. He’s more than welcome to. He agreed and said he would be bringing his son too. No problems from our end.
On my way home I called him and gave him instructions on how to get there (it’s a new community and apple/google maps currently derps getting there). He said he was just about to leave and he was packing his PS5 and Clothes in case power wasn’t restored by that night. I asked him if he was staying and he said. If powers not restored then yeah. I’ll stay and game for a few days.
This threw both me and my wife off guard because we didn’t have the means to put anyone up for the night and with some extra warning, we would have gone to the store and got stuff so that someone could stay at least with some comfort. We don’t have a lot in the house or much money but we would do what we can.
I explained that we didn’t have anywhere for them to stay right now and we would need to get things. He hangs up and then texts me 30 minutes later saying he’s probably just gonna stay home because a storm was picking back up (it was getting nasty outside again to be honest)
This morning my wife has woken up to messages from her sister stating she’s an asshole for ‘denying them to stay’. I honestly don’t think we’re in the wrong here. I feel like it’s a breakdown of communication from their end not letting us know what they were truly intending.

We need an “Entitled People” flair! Because this is definitely that.
I (41f) have quite a doozy of a story for you. I would normally tag this as an AITA, but let’s be honest, I’ve spent the last 4 years asking that of everyone I know, including therapists, and the answer is no.
Ok, this whole ride starts back in 2018, when I was 35. I had moved to the Midwest in 2017 for a travel job where I traveled 45-50 weeks a year. I had managed to get myself to a point in the company where they were willing to let me live anywhere and fly me out from there, so I wanted to move back to my home city where I had a bunch of friends. I was making amazing money, so I was able to afford my own place without roommates. However, my best friend (Dee, 33f at the time) was not making that kind of money at her job and she wanted to live in a specific place so her daughter could go to a specific school for K-8. She needed financial help, and I liked the idea of having someone around so there was food in the fridge when I got home at 11pm on Friday nights from a long flight. She asked me to move in with them, and I agreed. Her mother, her husband, and her daughter lived with her. Again, I was fine with this. I was only sleeping there for 1.5 nights a week. I had one room and I paid half of the rent. I shared a bathroom with her mom.
For a year I put up with a lot, and I acknowledge that a lot of this was on me. I’m a recovering people pleaser, after all. I paid for most meals when we went out. (I accept full responsibility for this, I didn’t want to eat alone and she couldn’t afford it.) I gave her money for groceries I didn’t use because I traveled for work. I helped her get her car back when it was repo’d, and a rental car with points that I had accumulated from travel for work. (She did pay me back for the funds I sent when it was repo’d.) I was often bullied and verbally abused by her mother, who was only nice to me when I gave them money.
By December of 2018, I was done. I started looking for 2/2 houses to buy. I wanted to live on my own, have my own space. I found a few and mentioned it to Dee. She immediately assumed I meant we were moving together and started sending me 4/3 houses. Again, I will take responsibility for this. I didn’t tell her no. At the time, it seemed easier not to start a fight. I was sure she would be mad if I told her I wanted to live alone, and I knew (and she made it quite clear that it was true) she couldn’t afford to live without me. I found a house that was a bit out of budget, but I could pay for myself without help, which was my only requirement. I refused to let myself get into a situation where I would default if I didn’t get her rent payments. It was a 5/3, so we had plenty of room for all of us. Even her mother, who was an unwelcome but permanent fixture in my life at this point.
Despite owning the home, all my things were STILL in my room. Their belongings took up all the common space, including the garage. And I don’t mean it was well decorated and nicely designed. I mean it was piled up around the house. I have pictures. I was still constantly bullied and berated by her mother. I was expected to watch her daughter for free at her whim. She would run to the store and not tell me she was leaving the kid. I was expected to pick her daughter up from school, take her to dance. I helped pay for dance frequently. I was still buying groceries I didn’t eat. I was paying for a house keeper just so that I could feel clean in my own house. A house I had no space in.
Let’s get to July 2020. I was five months pregnant, my fiancé had moved into my room in March 2020, along with all his stuff, we had gotten registry gifts and baby stuff. We had taken over the only room that had any space, and moved all their stuff out. There was still stuff in the closet in the nursery. I knew that I couldn’t go on like this. I couldn’t baby proof the house, I couldn’t fit her new things because theirs were everywhere. I didn’t want my baby to even MEET Dee’s mother. Ever. So, the week after the 4th of July (I was visiting with my family and talked through this with them), I asked her to move out. I gave her till mid-October. I waived all rent for August, September, and October to give her the funds to pay for a security deposit and movers.
She did not take it well. She stormed off, then texted me and called me terrible names. She said terrible things. Things that I didn’t feel I deserved and I told her that, I had helped her, taken care of her daughter, paid her way for over two years. I was allowed to be selfish for the sake of my daughter, and I was standing by that. She left with a friend and came back even more angry. I knew this would break us, but after that I didn’t really care.
I continued to watch her daughter at home for free. I helped her look at places, offering to keep her daughter if she needed to go alone. I still paid for groceries. I stopped buying her dinners. I was done. Her mother said horrible things about me on social media. I blocked her.m and anyone in her circle that tried to come for me. I continued to gift Dee things throughout her moving process. Shelves, furniture, games. She proceeded to weaponize her daughter, saying that I was kicking out the child and having her ask me why she had to move repeatedly.
She got keys for her new place September 18th. It took her over 4 weeks to move out. While I was in the hospital having my daughter in mid October, her last load of stuff left the house. She wasn’t the one to move it, a mutual friend did (and cleaned the house from top to bottom for me while I was having my baby).
On November 27th, it all exploded. I noticed that she had unfriended me on Facebook, so I messaged her. She accused me of betraying her, kicking them out, and dropping her and her daughter. She accused me of forcing them into an apartment during a pandemic, of turning my back on them. She accused me of being selfish. (Which, fine, I agree with. I wanted my family to live in my house without having to squeeze in around someone else’s things.)
Her mother messaged me hateful things. Truly toxic. She told me to stay away from her family. I blocked her immediately. Dee wasn’t far behind. I blocked them and I didn’t look back. That’s what they wanted.
I wish her no ill will, but I will never consider letting her or any of those loyal to her back into my life.
As of today, as I write this, she is just someone I used to know.

ive been playing on the better mc v26 modpack with friends on a server and things have been going smoothly until just today. a week or two ago i added a few mods, namely things like create, appleskin, botania, aquaculture, and ice and fire, and that all went smoothly as well for until just now. i logged on, fed my baby dragon and went out to get some more meat for dragon meal. after a few seconds of walking i got disconnected and any attempt to rejoin gets me kicked after a second or two of loading in. ive looked into it and hear a lot that its an issue of rubidium, but ive looked through the modlist and it is not there. i have xenon which i think is similar but updating xenon hasnt helped either. any help would be appreciated, please and thank you !!

PhysTech is a student-organized online hackathon for anyone who does, watches, analyzes and promotes any physical activities - including sports, workouts, fitness exercises, casual hobbies/pastimes and recreational adventures.
PhysTech welcomes any types of physical activities. Sports and physical training are in. Yoga, pilates, ballet? Of course. Swimming, kayaking, cycling, dancing, skateboarding, rock/mountain climbing, hiking, horseback riding? Sure. Fishing, bowling, paddleboarding, scuba diving, rafting, cheer leading, outdoor bird watching, gardening, kite flying, disk golf (frisbee), or cornhole? Why not!
Not only athletes and recreational players/practitioners, but fans, coaches, referees/judges and analysts are also welcome.
PhysTech offers you a platform to address various needs, wants and challenges in physical activities and produce creative solutions (hacks) with technology.

2024.05.18 23:58 TiredForEternity CPU Died, Gotta Get A New One

Long story short, after many attempts to save it, my PC is kaput. I was able to narrow it down to the CPU, possibly the motherboard, though that seems less likely.
Problem is, it may be my fault. The motherboard I originally picked died after about a year, and I was in a hurry to replace it with what I thought was a compatible one for the GPU. But I didn't do my proper research, and it's likely I bottlenecked the CPU by picking what was actually a downgrade. (Which explains a lot of the crashes.)
So, time for a new one. But honestly a lot of this stuff still goes straight over my head, and I don't trust to go off only myself for research this time. I'm good at Google-fu, not so much computer hardware.
Here's the specs: MOBO: GIGABYTE B450M DS3H WIFI (Rev. 1.2) GPU: NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3060 PSU: INSIGNIA NS-PCW5250 (taken from an older machine) Monitor(s): 1920x1080 HP Pavilion 27xw RAM: TEAMGROUP 32GB (2x16) DDR4 3600 (Backups: NEO FORZA DDR4 32GB (2x16) 3200)
CURRENT CPU: AMD Ryzen 5 3600
If there's any other specs you need, lemme know. It's easy to grab.
Uses: Mainly for 3D and 2D art/animation, but I also played a lot of games. The most GPU/CPU-demanding one was Baldur's Gate 3, which ran pretty okay, but definitely had loading and framerate issues and crashes. Graphics were beautiful otherwise.
If it'd be better to replace the mobo as well, I don't mind that. I know a lot of the time CPUs and motherboards are sold together.
Budget: Not great, but $400 is the best I can do, maybe just slightly above that. I'd rather keep it around $300 if it's manageable.
What I Definitely Need: Whatever can run BG3. I figure anything with a CPU that can handle that and this graphics card is going to handle 2D and 3D design just as well. Obviously going to need to be DDR4 compatible.
What I Would Like (but not mandatory): Multiple HDMI ports would be nice but I got adapters if I need them.
What I Don't Need: LEDs (the case I picked is solid black so you'd never see them). Though I'll probably switch this case out anyway if I'm changing the motherboard. Don't need a built-in WIFI adapter, since I use ethernet. I'm not planning on overclocking. I don't need something cutting-edge and I've no way to implement a water cooling system, the case just isn't meant for it. I'm not worried about storage either, since all my stuff is on an SSD.
(If I sound clueless or got something wrong, apologies. It's been trial and error, and definitely still learning, but I'm starting to get it.)

Hi, I wasn't able to find this guide so here you go. Disclaimer 1: Yup, "nothing new" for game experts here, it's a guide for newbies or those who doesn't remember all the details. Disclaimer 2: Please, read carefully. If it says "don't touch any mobs, just run" it literally means it. Disclaimer 3: This guide is made for Gracia Final with rates x1, but probably is applicable for Epilogue and H5 too.
Our goal here is to complete these ~10 quests as fast as possible, so every detail can be crucial. This guide is made for EO (Elven Oracle), coz it's the easiest and the fastest quest for 1st profession. But it will more or less work for all the races except Dark Elves (DE can make even more money with it's chain of quests, but not that fast).
So, let's start:
  1. You've created an Elven Mystic and is standing under the beautiful tree. DON'T touch any gremlins or NPC here, just click on SOE to Kamael Village. Talk to Newbie Guide and now you are lvl 2, congratulations!
  2. Run to the southern (there is "N" on your minimap in top right corner of the screen, works like a compass) exit. Talk to Marcela and take a quest Supply Check. Visit a couple of NPC in village and now you are lvl 5 with wooden set in your bag. Wear helmet, boots and gloves, ignore BP and gaiters.
  3. Run to Newbie Guide and become lvl 6. Take buffs and a shadow staff with a coupon. Place spiritshots on shortcuts bar and equip a staff.
  4. Run to Marcela again and take a quest Head of the Hill. Find a Gatekeeper Ragara on a city square and teleport to Stronghold I. Run to the south, find Green Goblin or Werewolf. Kill them until you receive 1 (one) claw. After you get it use SOE to Kamael Village, go to Marcela to report the quest. In dialogue choose "exchange for Adena" - "Say no".
  5. Run to Newbie Guide (yeah, again). Talk to him and become lvl 10. Choose "Teleport to another village" - "Elven Village" (Note! If you made another a character of another race on this step you need to go to your home village and complete analogue quest for your race).
  6. Talk to Sentinel Kendell next to the Gatekeeper. Take a quest Skirmish with the orcs. You receive "Kendell's N order" here N will mean the orc you need to kill. Now go google "kaboo orc map" and find a map with all the numbers. According to that map run to find quest monster you are told to kill. Kill it and use Adventurer's SOE. Speak to Kendell again and that lazy ass sends you to kill another one quest orc, so find the new number on the map run/tp to it and kill. Return to Kendell, report the quest and become lvl 11.
  7. By the Gatekeeper near go to Talking Island Village. On the central square talk to Newbie Guide - now you are lvl 15. Talk to Elias near to take a quest Cure for fever disease. Go to Gatekeeper and teleport to Talking Island, Northern territory. Kill Giant Spiders till you get Poison Sac. Use SOE, go to church, talk to Priest Yohanes about the quest. Go back to Elias, report the quest.
Important! If you had to kill to much spiders or didn't listen to instructions and killed more mobs and now you are lvl 16 - sorry, but you need to die. Nothing personal, but you need to be lvl 15 to go on.
  1. Talk to Newbie Guide and become lvl 18. Ask for support magic again. Go to Gatekeeper - tp to Gludin - tp to Gludio. Go to church.
  2. Talk to Priest Manuel. Learn some skills (at least Weapon Mastery, Armour Mastery, Battle Heal, Wind strike. Talk to him again, take a quest Path of the Elven Oracle. (Again, if you aren't Elven Mystic do the quest you need to get the 1st profession).
  3. Talk to Gatekeeper - tp to Gludin. Run to Gludin Harbour. You can open in-game map, click "Tracking", choose the quest and it will show you the exact position of needed NPC. Talk to Allana, kill 3 mobs that appear after it. Talk to her again.
  4. Run to the lighthouse on the hill behind the harbour (map - tracking). Talk to Perrin. Kill the ogre, talk to Perrin again. Return to Allana
  5. Use SOE to Kamael Village. Go talk with the Gatekeeper - tp to Gludio - talk to Priest Manuel in church to report the quest. Talk to High Priest in church about the first class transfer - Oracle - Change the profession. Learn more skills, if you want.
  6. Talk to Gatekeeper - tp to Dark Elven Village. Find Carlon in warehouse, take a quest Dwarven Kinship.
  7. Talk to Gatekeeper - tp to Gludio. Find Haprock in warehouse. In quest dialogue choose "Say you will do the favor".
  8. Gatekeeper - Gludin - Norman in warehouse, report the quest.
  9. Gatekeeper - tp to Orc village. In the left wing of the King's Hall Talk to seer Livina, take a quest Walk of Fate.
  10. Gatekeeper - Schuttgart. Go to Orc Guild, talk to seer Moira, take a quest Ominous News.
  11. Gatekeeper - Crypts of Disgrace. Report both quests to Karuda. Now you are lvl 21 (if you aren't - kill a couple of monsters there around to become 21). SOE to Kamael Village. Gatekeeper - Elven Village.
  12. Talk to Sentinel Starden on the western exit, take a quest Legacy of the Poet.
  13. Talk to Trader Creamees in Grocery Store, take a quest Blood Fiend.
  14. Gatekeeper - Elven Fortress (not forest). Run into the fortress and in first two rooms kill orcs until you get four poems.
  15. Now you will need to run bravely and unstoppably through the whole fortress (use healing potions if needed) to the last room to find there quest monster Kinurak and kill it (google the quest to find the way if you are not sure where exactly to run). There are guards near to it but if you stand on the max range from it you should be able to kill it before guards reach you about your expired warranty. After killing Kinurak you can fight guards or die and stand to to village. If you are a great warrior and have won - use SoE. Report those 2 quest ti NPCs you got them from.
Now you have +/- 277k Adena. You can sell all the things from your bag to get another ~30k (don't sell EAD, enchant scroll, you'll probably need it later).

Morning eventually came, banishing the eyes that seemed to peer at me through the night. It was strange how suddenly the feeling left me, making me think that someone really was watching me. The whole thing was really doing wonders for my paranoia. Despite the rough morning and sleepless night, I still found myself waiting outside Bianca’s house bright and early that morning. The air was cool but not chilly, one of those perfect days that’s cold enough you’ll never start sweating unless you really try, but warm enough that a T-shirt will get you through without too much trouble.
I only had to knock once before Bianca threw open the door.
“Where you just waiting there for me?”
I asked, cracking a smile and raising an eyebrow.
“You’ll never know” she added playfully, “Are we ready to go then?”
Bianca had made some preparations for the trip, she didn’t have a backpack ready to go but she definitely made an effort to dress the part… sort of. She was wearing an old grey combat jacket that I imagine she pulled out of Stein’s closet. The jacket was way to big for her but she made it work. Her combat boots matched the jacket, looking old and well worn. What didn’t match was the bright red yoga pants she was wearing, but I wasn’t about to complain. Besides, I had packed each of us a spare set of clothes just in case.
“Oh! So I had an idea, its a long walk, not crazy but I’d rather not just walk the whole way if we can help it. Frank and Stein used to have some bicycles when we first came here so I asked them about it and well.”
Bianca chirped, as she led me around the back of the house and pulled a tarp off two abysmal looking bicycles. The bikes were both red at one point but that was a long time ago. Now they were covered in a layer of rust and I could barely make out the branding that may have once read, “Shwinn”.
“Um… Bianca I think I might get tetanus if I sit on that thing.”
“Oh come on! Aren’t you tired of walking everywhere? Lets just give the bikes a shot, if they crumble to dust we can leave them.”
“And get me a tetanus shot.”
I added quickly
“Fine, and get you a tetanus shot.”
Bianca shot back, she feigned annoyance but she couldn’t hide the smile that crossed her face.
Laughing to ourselves, we got on the bikes and took off North, out of town and onto a dirt path leading to the woods. Bianca didn’t say much on the way out but I could tell she was having a good time. This may have been her first time out of the house for something other than supervising Frank and Stein. She tried to hide it by riding fast and staying out in front of me, but I could still catch her eyes literally glowing with happiness every now and then. I thought back to what Frank had said about her eyes glowing when she experiences strong emotion. I hoped that was the case and she wasn’t just trying really hard to influence me, which he had also said would make her eyes glow.
As we neared the end of the path, the forest’s edge came into view. we let the bikes roll to a stop then got off and let them fall over onto the dirt. I half expected them to explode into a puff of rusty brown dust the second they touched the ground but to my surprise, neither bike did. I could’ve swore I heard Bianca sniffle almost like she’d been crying. I opened my mouth to say something and then thought better of it, if she wanted to tell me what was going on she would. Well, that or she’d just manipulate me away from the question. Wait, was she doing that now? It’s hard to tell, maybe that’s how everyone around her feels. The more I thought about it the more I realized how difficult it must be for her just to have friends or form relationships with people at all. If she told them the truth they’d never know if what they were feeling around her at any given moment was real. All they’d have to go on would be her word, could they really trust that, could I? If she kept her secret she’d know that at any moment she could just change how they felt about her, manipulate them into anything she wanted. Could she resist that kind of power over them and still look someone in the eyes and say she was their friend. Not to mention how hard it would be to keep that secret over years of knowing someone.
“So Keith, were exactly are we headed? You do have some Idea where this mine you’re looking for is right?”
Bianca asked skeptically, snapping me out of my thoughts.
“Well about that…. I just know its out here in the forest somewhere. That’s pretty much all I have to go on from Frank, Stein, and that massive bartender in town.”
I told her sheepishly.
“Well that explains why you over-packed so much then. Seriously? How long do you think we we’re going to be out here, you’re packed like some kind of survivalist.”
She mocked, picking through the pack I’d made for her. After she finished rooting through the pack I made for her like some kind of giant squirrel and, chastised me yet again for not doing more research on the mine, we set off.
The forest felt imposing as we walked into the woods through a manicured patch of trees. Someone had gone to great lengths to braid a few trees over this little path before the forest turned back into its natural wild state. It gave off the feeling that civilization ended with this path and something else entirely began. As we got off the path our light faded quickly, chocked out by the limbs of massive pine trees. All this cover meant there was very little foliage on the ground which was covered in a blanket of needles. The though occurred to me that we were looking for a mine in a valley. That’s weird because what exactly would be in a valley that warranted the creation of a mine? Usually you’ll find them in mountains so what exactly was one doing out here.
“Bianca I just had a thought, Why would they build a mine out here? I mean what’s the point, is there even anything valuable out here to mine?”
“Yeah, come to think of it your right. What other reason would there be to have a mine out here?”
“Unless they were just mining from a cave but that still doesn’t answer the question of what they were…”
Bianca cut me off
“What was that first thing you said?”
“Um… mining from a cave?”
A lightbulb went off over her head as she exclaimed,
“That’s it! There’s caves under the town, I’ve heard Frank talk about them before! Maybe they didn’t have a real mine so they were just mining something out of the caves.”
“Not to burst your bubble Bianca, but that still doesn’t get us any closer to these caves or mines or whatever it is.”
I responded cautiously, trying not to sound to critical of her revelation.
“Well not exactly, Frank said they were in the East of the forest somewhere so all we have to do is head East till we run into them.”
Bianca said, full of confidence. Then something occurred to me, we had no real way of getting back to the bikes other than retracing our steps. Now that was easy enough now, if we went deeper into the woods we would get lost pretty quickly.
“One more thing Bianca, Maybe we should come up with a way to find our way out? I really don’t want to end up lost out here.”
I asked nervously, fidgeting with my hands.
“Way ahead of you on that one, I left my phone back by the bikes. Here give me yours and I’ll put my number in so you can track it and find our way back.”
She said, taking my phone, putting her number into it, and turning it to me to show she’d tracked her own phones location with it, giving us a path back to the bikes.
As we turned East and headed even deeper into the forest the terrain started to change. Instead of the pine needle coating we started to see rocks and the ground was more rugged. Here and there we’d even pass a boulder or two. I decided to break the silence of our search.
“So are you ever going to tell me how you met Frank and Stein?”
Bianca sighed before responding.
“I suppose you deserve to know if your sticking around. You probably guessed I wasn’t always living with them. Lets just say before that I was with someone who I though meant the world to me but I never meant the same to him. It was all a game to him and eventually I noticed that. Then, a little while afterwards I realized I wasn’t exactly powerless anymore and I did some things that I’m not exactly proud of to survive on my own.”
I could tell talking about this hurt her but I needed more.
“That’s not exactly telling me a whole lot Bianca.”
I pressed, maybe a little to hard.
“I found out I had powers and I used them ok! I got myself out of a situation where I was pulled so many way I didn’t know which direction was up! The second I found out I could do the same thing to people myself, I did! You’re the first person to actually seem to give a shit that wasn’t some crazy doctor that tolerates my existence or someone I just manipulated into caring! Maybe I even did that with you! I JUST DON’T KNOW ANYMORE!”
Bianca screamed at me, getting in my face with tears beginning to run down her own. Her eyes were glowing electric blue again and I knew I’d crossed a line.
“Hey I’m sorry I didn’t mean to hurt you. I… I didn’t know.”
“No.. you didn’t but I guess you should”
Bianca sniffled out, trying desperately to pull herself back together and keep up the act the everything was ok. Bianca went silent for a while as we kept walking along, crying to herself before she finally took a deep breath and said,
“You know, this is the first time someone’s asked me to come along and do something outside the house in years. I spend so much time cooped up in there just helping with experiments and looking after Rocco. It’s actually nice to get out and talk for once.”
Her voice still a lifts hoarse from screaming at me before.
“Look if you want to talk about it we’ve got nothing but time out here. I’d like to know a bit more about you anyways.”
I said taking her hand and trying to sound comforting.
“Yeah maybe I should get some of it off my chest. Here it goes I guess.”
Bianca said, taking a deep breath and tightening her grip on my hand. Her eyes still glowed faintly as she told me her story as we ventured deeper into the forest.
I’ll give you the shorter version of it here, mostly cause I’m not sure how she’d feel about me spoiling all her secrets.. She ran away from her family and her college education for a guy, his name was Brooke. Brooke was from money and had a job lined up by his family at a law firm so Bianca thought she was set for life with him. Bianca was madly in love with him at the time but as days grew into months and years, Brooke became a monster. He cheated on her and told her she wasn’t enough, that her shortcomings drove him to do it over and over again and somehow it was all her fault every time. He became abusive not long after the cheating started, flying into fits of hysteric apology afterwards only further convincing Bianca she was somehow at fault. After three years of this she eventually got up the courage to leave and never looked back. On the road she discovered her powers of manipulation, letting her play with people’s emotions and she only got better at it with time. Unfortunately her abilities got her into a very specific form of getting money out of people, prostitution. One day she tried to solicit Stein and he saw straight through her. Stein took her with him to the hotel he and Frank were staying at and they took her in on the spot. The trio traveled together ever since, Bianca becoming a kind of daughter to them.
I was in shock once she finished her story, it sounded like she’d really been through the ringer.“I don’t know what to say, that’s awful, all of it.”
“It was, I lived it. But I made it through, doesn’t matter how at the end of the day. I’ve got Frank and Stein and that’s enough, they let me into their home and I recovered in my own way, I’m still here so I’ll take what I can get right?”
Bianca stated with a cold loom of determination on her face. It was painfully obvious to me that despite the masquerade of being fine she was barley holding it together underneath. Like just talking about it with me was driving a finger into old wounds.
“At least you’ll never have to go through something like that again. With your abilities you never have to get pushed around like that.”
I said with completely no tact whatsoever. Bianca stopped suddenly as I said this and whirled around to face me. The fire I’d seen in her eyes earlier reigniting in seconds.
“Do you really think that’s all this is?! I’m no better than him, even you don’t know what you really think when you look at me! Admit ti!”
Bianca growled at me, hysterical once again.
“No, Bianca I…”
“Look I know your trying to help but just leave it, ok? I’m done talking about this”
She cut me off, pulling herself back together and signaling very clearly we were done with that particular conversation.
“Besides look over there, That hole in the rock see it? That might be what we’re looking for.”
Bianca said, gesturing to the stone wall that now jutted out of the ground beside us.
The rock wall she pointed out was chipped near the middle in a way that couldn’t have been natural. Straight lines don’t really exist in nature and this hole was cut squarely into this rock wall. As we got closer I could see that it wasn’t just an entrance either. The hole opened into the rock wall but then suddenly dropped, like whoever carved it had hit a point where the ground just fell out from under them. From where Bianca and I were looking into the hole we couldn’t quite see the bottom.
“Well we found what we were looking for, is this bringing back any memories from those dreams you had?”
Bianca asked, sounding a little short tempered still as I searched through my bag.
“What are you looking for in there?”
“Rope, I’ve got to see what’s in there and I’m hoping I brought enough to climb down there.”
I replied hurriedly, still tearing apart my bag to get to the rope I had packed underneath everything else.
“Rope? you’re not seriously going to climb down that pit are you? I can barely see down there.”
Bianca complained, sounding exasperated.
“Here, this should help you see down there.”
I said, tossing her one of the two head mounted flashlights I brought along.
“ME? I never said we were going down there!”
Bianca panicked momentarily.
“Look, you can stay up here and wait for me if you really don’t want to go down there. But I would appreciate having you to watch my back.”
I added trying to soften her up. Bianca opened her mouth like she was going to say something but stopped, instead dropping her own pack to the ground and searching through it.
“Look if I’m going down there I’m going to need something better than yoga pants on and…. You actually packed a change of clothes in here. Geez you really did think of everything.”
As Bianca took the jeans I packed and went off to find somewhere to change I finally found the rope. It was about 50 feet of strong climbing rope that I kept for an occasion just like this. Now that’s not to say I was a professional climber by any means but a 20 or 30 foot rappel I should be able to do. I was hoping that the descent wasn’t much further than that. I anchored the rope to a tree a little ways away from the hole in the rock face and tossed the rope down the hole. It hit the bottom with a satisfying thud just as Bianca got back from changing. The jeans I had packed were a little big on her but she’d manage. She looked like a mess in her ancient combat boot and jacket, all of which were too big for her. I tried to open my mouth to tell her she looked nice, I swear I really did but what came out was hyena-like laughter at her appearance.
“I…. Oh god I’m…. It’s just”
I struggled to get out, laughing all the while.
“Well I’m glad you like it at least, ok seriously come on, stop laughing.”
Bianca scolded as she began giggling herself. Soon enough we were both laughing, Bianca’s earlier storminess cleared up by the absurdity of the situation.
Here we were, a succubus and a guy with a strange mark out in the woods getting ready to rappel into a hole in the ground that apparently didn’t exist. All this was almost starting to feel… I’m not really sure how to put it, not normal but not so strange. Honestly I finally felt like I’d found some kind of purpose again out here. As weird as it all was I was starting to enjoy… this, this whole odd situation I’d found myself in. Bianca and I finally got ahold of the laughter and stood back up from our place on the ground.
“Do I really look that bad?”
She asked
“I’ve never heard you complain about your looks before. But no, with those jeans on you look like maybe, just maybe you prepared a little bit for coming out here.”
I teased, getting a little wry grin out of her.
“Come on, lets get going. Hopefully we can be in and out of there pretty quickly.”
I said, handing Bianca her pack and shouldering my own.
Rappelling in wasn’t actually all that hard, really dangerous without safety equipment sure, but neither of us had any trouble descending the maybe 20 foot drop. At the bottom I saw something that shocked me, this place wasn’t abandoned. I saw lighting set up, not on but very clearly set up recently. Bits of old mining equipment were scattered around the… cave? Mine? Im not really sure what to call it anymore. What concerned me more than anything was the light I saw at the far end of the cave (I’m settling on calling it a cave). The light came from a massive bonfire and I could just make out the shadows of several people sitting around it. I have no idea how we didn’t see the smoke on our way in. It wasn’t filling the cave but it also wasn’t coming out from anywhere I saw on the way here.
“Bianca get down!”
I whisper shouted at her, turning off my headlamp and falling flat to the ground myself. Bianca dropped to the ground as she heard me with unexpected grace. I didn’t know if those figures by the fire had seen us but I certainly wasn’t taking chances.
“Ok, I’m going to creep up and see if I can hear them talking or something. Can you just stay here and watch my back? I don’t want you getting any closer than you have to.”
I instructed Bianca who answered with a quick nod and reached into the inner pocket of her jacket. She withdrew a jeweled golden dagger from it.
“I sorry, what’s this now?”
I asked, confused and thrown off guard by the weapon. It was a really beautiful blade, the hilt was silver with several purple gems inlaid in it. The blade was golden save for the razor sharp edge which was some kind of strange blue material that was roughly the same color Blanca’s eyes glowed.
“I had a life before this you know.”
Bianca responded.
“Yeah we talked about it but you didn’t really tell me much about this part apparently. Doesn’t matter I guess just surprised you have Jeff Bezos’s butter knife in your jacket pocket.”
I whispered, pointing at the dagger in her hand.
“Well we can talk more about how I ended up with this later, not really the time now. Just be careful ok.”
I got up as she said this, realizing she was right. Now really wasn’t the time to be asking about strange daggers, I had more pressing issues.
I crouched down and started creeping towards the figures by the bonfire, careful to avoid the rusty machinery bits scattered across the ground. As I got closer I saw a passage I had missed in the dark. I dared to turn my headlamp on for just a second, trying to block out most of the light with my hand. What I saw through the dim light and shadows of my finger left me awestruck. Inside the passage a coliseum had been constructed, with seats carved into the stone. The structure itself was made up of the rusted metal pieces that littered the room, collected and smelted together to form the walls of the structure. What frightened me the most was the symbol clearly and meticulously drawn on the dirt floor, the same symbol that adorned my back, the symbol of the thunderbird. Moving on, more shaken than ever I crept closer still to the roaring bonfire. I could just about make out the words the figures were saying. When I got close enough to make out the word “tests” the fire suddenly went out with a gust of wind.The room temperature must have dropped 10 degrees immediately and I could swear I heard the sounds of heavy rain above us. But the sudden lack of light isn’t what rooted me in place, cowering on the cave floor. What did that was the two illuminated grey eyes that pierced through the darkness like lightning in a storm, eyes I would never forget, the eyes of the woman from Imalone.
This time I clearly heard the voices of the figures from around the bonfire as they all dropped to their knees.
“Shaoni! We weren’t expecting you till later, Stormcaller.”
The figures all said some variation of in unison. Their tone sounding almost as though they were begging for forgiveness. In a voice that hissed like rain on pavement the woman apparently named Shaoni spoke.
“I’ve come to oversee the start of the trials, is everything prepared?”
In one bone chilling moment her eyes locked on mine and she said the one thing I’d hoped she wouldn’t.
“You didn’t tell me we had guests.”
The moment the words left her lips I turned back to where Bianca was waiting, her now glowing eyes cutting through the darkness of the cave. Giving up any form of subtly, I bolted for the rope behind Bianca. I just wanted to be out of this cave, whatever I might learn from searching around was far outweighed by the fact that Shaoni was here. I’d seen the kind of destruction she’d left in her wake in Imalone and I had no desire to see it happen again here. I banged my ankle on several of the little bits of rusty metal on the floor as I ran, sending sparks of pain up my leg. I didn’t hear anything behind me at all which was almost more unnerving than the footsteps I expected to hear. I closed in on Bianca and saw she hadn’t moved at all, her eyes fixed on something behind me. I dared to take a quick glance back over my shoulder and saw Shaoni taking her first step away from the extinguished bonfire. Lightning crackled around her like one of those novelty plasma globes. In the flashes of light I could see her face. There was no smile or frown, no emotion at all. She simply stared straight ahead towards me and took slow calm steps, inching ever closer.
“Bianca we’ve got to go… NOW!”
I shouted, snapping her to attention. She nodded and turned on her heels, back toward the rope we’d thrown in earlier. Only, when we got to the rope and gave it a tug, it came falling back toward us.
“There’s no way. I…I anchored it to that tree, it should’ve held!”
I cried in disbelief. Bianca and I starred up at the now stormy sky through the hole we would’ve escaped from. Two men walked into view on either side of the hole, glowering down at us. I notice a marking on one of the men’s hands in a flash of lightning from the storm. I could only assume if I was able to make it out I would’ve seen a marking just like the one on my back. Just as soon as the men had appeared a shape flew in from the left with a low growl, taking both men along with it.
“Ok, new plan! There’s something else up there and I really don’t want to get involved with… whatever that was either. I didn’t see any footprints near the entrance so I’m assuming those guys we saw by the bonfire got in another way. We’re just going to have to find where that was and get out that way.”
I instructed Bianca, gesturing to the men in toe with Shaoni and trying not to sound as afraid as I was.
“Ok, I’m with you but lets get moving, I don’t want to any closer to her than I have to be.”
Bianca answered, putting her hand on my shoulder. I suddenly felt a wave of calm rush over me and for the second time I was grateful for Bianca’s ability to simply turn off my fear response.
Shaoni now stood about 50 feet from us with four men following behind her. In the light she gave off I could see the men were all dressed like normal people. I kind of figured they would be more of those canvas wrapped weirdos from Imalone but no. There stood four men in jeans and flannels standing there. Shaoni looked like she could’ve stepped right out of a painting of Pocahontas. She wore an animal hide dress with frills along the bottom and arms. Her head was adorned with a leather band containing several hawk feathers. In short she looked like she’d stepped out of a different time. But I had no time to look over the finer details of her clothing as Bianca and I rushed towards her. Once we got within striking distance I pulled Bianca to the left, towards the passage I had seen earlier. Shaoni never made a move towards us, she just simply looked at me, the ghost of a smile briefly crossing her lips. One of the men with her grabbed at Bianca though, pulling her out of my grasp momentarily. That was a mistake because she was on him immediately with the ornate dagger I’d seen before. As the man grabbed her Bianca lashed out with the dagger, sticking him in the gut with the blade. He screamed in anguish and let go of her but Bianca wasn’t done yet. She followed up by stabbing the man in the back of the neck as he bent over, grabbing at the hole in his abdomen. The other three men were so taken aback by the sudden ferocity she displayed that they didn’t come any closer. As time stood still for a second the men all looked toward Shaoni, awaiting instructions but hesitant to get any closer to Bianca. Using the brief moment of disbelief Bianca had caused, we ran down the side passage towards the coliseum.
“What was that?”
I asked, still shocked by how suddenly Bianca had acted.
“He tried to grab me, I don’t like when they try to grab me”
Bianca responded, distant and… scared? I got the sense she was still in shock at what she had done too. But I couldn’t worry about that right now, we still had to get out of here. Luckily the men didn’t seem to be following us. Wether Shaoni called them off or they stopped to care for their friend I didn’t know, and frankly I didn’t care.
Rushing through the rusty coliseum was haunting. I expected something to jump out of every shadow in the imposing structure. As we slowed to a jog in the middle of the coliseum, right where that eagle symbol was, we stopped to look around. We had come into this arena through an open arch but the only other exit I could see was a similar but barred archway. The coliseum was huge for something constructed in a cave, probably 400 feet across. I had no idea how this thing could’ve been made without anybody finding out.
“Bianca are you seeing anyway out of here? Bianca!”
I asked, then shouted as I turned to see her standing still as a statue in the middle of the Eagle symbol. She was staring at the dagger she had stabbed that man with. Blood still stained the blade and dripped from it intermittently.
“Bianca are you alright?”
I questioned as I walked over to her. She still had this look in her eyes, like she was miles away.
“Bianca? Come on talk to me. Look, you did what you had to do back there, sure it wasn’t exactly pretty but it had to be done.”
I tried to comfort her with my words but the truth is, my heart just wasn’t in it. I was a little scared of what I saw from her in those few moments. She just lashed out and attacked him, not that he didn’t deserve it but going back for more was too much. But what would’ve happened if she didn’t act? It’s not something I could really dwell on now and I’m not sure it really mattered. I just wasn’t feeling all that great about the fact we may have killed someone.
“I don’t like it when they grab me.”
Bianca finally repeated, still appearing catatonic. I leaned down to her level, putting my face right in-front of her’s and putting her head in between my hands.
“Bianca I know enough to know that whole situation may have dug up some memories for you but nows really not the time. We have to keep moving, we have to find a way out of here, and I can’t do that without you right now.”
Bianca tensed up as I spoke to her, but I could feel her relax as I finished. A single tear fell from her eye as she gave me a nod and followed behind me as I walked toward the barred off archway.
Before I made it to the archway there was a massive crash as something tore the rusty bars from their mountings and fell into the room.
“Tuck?!”
I exclaimed, recognizing his colossal figure on the floor immediately. His shirt and pants were torn to shreds though, Like he’d flexed too hard and burst out of his clothes. Bianca and I rushed over to check on him but apparently he was fine. Before we even started walking towards him he was already back up on his feet and lumbering towards us.
“Tuck what are you doing here? Actually never mind, are you ok?”
I asked, concern in my voice.
“It’s going to take more than this to stop me son. I figured you might go looking for that old mine I mentioned the other night so I came to find you. I feel real bad about ya run’in off the way ya did and I got to thinking. Maybe I could make it up to ya if I told ya about the mine. So I came out here and found some shady look’in fellas poking around and figured maybe ya needed help, looks like I was right.”
Tuck explained, dusting himself off and brushing away some of the tattered remains of his shirt. I didn’t buy his story for a second but I wasn’t going to argue with this bear of a man.
“So how did you get in anyway?”
“Used the old entrance from back when this place was still run’in, come on I’ll lead ya out.”
Tuck answered, already turning and walking back the way he came.
The walk out was long and none of us talked much so I just looked around. The further we walked down this little tunnel the more I noticed crushed equipment. The walls looked like they were made up of bits and pieces of crumbled rock that may have once been the ceiling of a much bigger tunnel here.
“There was a collapse, just like the report said only, whatever caused it wasn’t any fault of ours. It was that damn thunderbird waking up.”
Tuck piped up, answering one question and making me ask another.
“Wait you knew about her?!”
“All the miners did, some decided to follow her after she woke up and brought the walls down on us. Others wanted revenge for the brothers we lost, I’m one of the former. You see son, the reason I stayed around this town so long was because of that bird. I want a chance to return the favor.”
“But what about Robert? If you hate the thunderbird so much why’d you let him in? You had to see that tattoo on his hand.”
“I know he thinks that damned bird will “save” him or something but I don’t blame him. Everyone deals with things in their own way and it’s not my place to judge folk for it.”
Tuck lectured, as we made our way further down the passage. His words made sense to me but I didn’t understand how he could be so understanding. From what I understood the thunderbird had a part to play in the original mine’s collapse and the death of the workers there. Only for some of the survivors to revere this creature. If I were in Tuck’s shoes I don’t think I could forgive and forget.
Finally we saw light at the end of the tunnel. We emerged into the whispers of what I’m sure was a monster of a storm. But that’s not what drew my attention, what did were the boulders scattered around the hole we just came out of. It looked like they had been moved, and recently. The suspicious red stain just barley peaking out from the bottom of one of them only served to convince me further. Tuck’s story didn’t quite make sense and this entrance seemed like it should’ve been blocked up until very recently. I wasn’t about to question the guy who saved us though, so I let the issue rest.
Bianca’s idea of tracking her phone to find our way to the bikes worked like a charm. We followed the directions my phone spit at us and eventually found our way back to the bikes. Tuck’s old Ford Bronco sat behind our bikes leaving me to question if he followed us on our way here.
“Well do you kids want a ride back to town?”
Tuck asked, his voice bellowing across the forest. Seriously it was like the guy swallowed a loudspeaker at some point and just spoke through it now.
“No we’ll find our own way back.”
“Alrighty then, stay safe son.”
Tuck called back to me as he got into his truck and drove off. Bianca and I stood up our bikes and got ready to head back to town.
“Hey Keith?”
“Yeah what is it Bianca?”
“Next time you offer to bring me along somewhere can you warn me about the damn thunderbird that seems to just show up around you.”
I laughed at this, it was nice to see Bianca joking around again. After what happened in the caves she seemed like someone else, none of her usual cheeriness was there. Not that I knew if that was what she wanted me to see from her or how she actually presented herself but still. I trusted her enough at this point to assume she wasn’t using her abilities to mess with my head.
When we got back to Bianca’s house the sun was just beginning to set, washing the town in shades of purple, orange, and red. We walked the bikes around to their place behind the house and I walked Bianca back to the front door.
“Thanks for today Keith,I don’t… get out very much anymore and it was… nice… to do something other than sit around the house for once. You know, despite everything that happened it was actually fun.”
I was taken aback by her words at first. If it was me I’d immediately want nothing to do with this person who just put me in danger.
“You had fun? The thunderbird showed up again and we may have killed a guy and you had fun?”
I asked, raising and eyebrow suspiciously.

I was about halfway back to my own house when I realized she never gave me my backpack back. Well, looks like I’d be seeing her again then because I need that stuff back. I wasn’t sure what to think about what I’d seen today. If the thunderbird was in those mines years ago why did she end up in Wisconsin? There was also a very real possibility some people in this town worshipped her so I’d have to keep an eye out for that. The really interesting thing to me was the Shaoni never seemed to want to hurt me in the cave today. She was terrifying as all hell sure, but I didn’t get the sense that she wanted to cause me any sort of harm. If she wanted to do that my gut told me she would’ve done it quickly and efficiently.
Thunder suddenly cracked outside, interrupting my train of thought. As I stood up to see what time it was a knock came from the front door. I froze, who exactly could it be? I doubt Bianca would come over, I don’t think she even knows where I live but maybe she came by to drop off the backpack she absconded with? The knock came again, more forcefully this time.

I shouted, as I jogged to the door. My heart dropped as soon as I opened it, On the other side of the door stood Shaoni. She was dressed normally for once, wearing a long flowing white nightgown. Shaoni stepped into my house as she cooed in her usual misty voice.

Use 3 fast swing skills to stack buffs, using the Synergetic rune for maximum effect. Use Light Beam and Arcane beam to rapidly wear down bosses.

Core mechanics

The main skill for this build is Arcane Beam, which is easily one of the best skills in the game. It has built in scaling that becomes more powerful the harder you push it, creating somewhat of a double payout. Throw some extra damage debuffs and tons of crit into the mix for insane output.
This build is especially great because it only uses skills that come from the Paladin's own kit, meaning you can select both material collection runes for easy material farming.

Breakdown

Skill Selection
Like previously mentioned, this build is mostly about Arcane Beam, and the Brittle debuff it applies. Brittle stacks on enemies increases the damage of future hits by a flat value. This means that you're better off using a skill that does a ton of small hits, instead of using slow but heavy-hitting skills. Arcane Beam itself is a skill that does a ton of small hits, which means it both applies a lot of Brittle, and take great advantage of those stacks. Further more, as you get higher level and start casting Arcane Beam more often, you'll both apply more Brittle and hit more often, which makes Arcane Beam particularly powerful.
Its worth noting that the added damage of Brittle stacks is multiplied by any skill's (and your base) damage multiplier, including when you crit. Having 200% increased damage thus means your Brittle is also 200% more effective.

The second "main" skill is Light Beam. Like Arcane Beam, Light Beam does a bunch of small hits over a duration, meaning Light Beam also gets a lot of benefit from the Brittle stacks. Light Beam also applies the Exposed debuff, which increases direct (so non-damage-over-time) damage taken, by up to 800%. As you get higher level, you'll easily hit that upper limit, making Light Beam an effective x8 damage multiplier.

We also take Lightning Surge as a buff skill, to easily max out our effective critical strike chance. Lightning Surge makes all your hits apply the Dazed debuff. With the combined number of hits of Light Beam and Arcane Beam, you're almost instantly capped on daze-stacks.

All 3 skills mentioned so far have a pretty long cooldown. For Lightning Surge, which is a buff, that doesn't matter much, as we'll easily get 100% uptime even with just a basic investment in general cast frequency. To get the most out of both Light Beam and Arcane Beam, we round the build off with 3 quick swing skills.
Our skills of choice are Blades of Light, Heartrending Strike and Double Slash. These 3 skills together will provide use with the Prowess (damage), Finesse (multicast) and Bulwark (block) buffs, as wel as applying Fragility (increased damage taken) and Debilitated (reduced damage dealt by enemies).
If you don't have Heartrending Strike (because it is a seasonal reward), you can swap it for Magic Missiles without any need to change the build further.
Mechanics
Skill-chains
As always, skillchaining is the main way to scale the build, as it allows you to bypass the long cooldowns on Light Beam and Arcane Beam. Most important is Swing-to-Arcane, followed by Swing-to-Holy, or even Holy-to-Arcane. Getting high amounts on Swing-to-Arcane in particular will make your build wreck bosses. If you encounter a Holy-to-Swing chain, that is also good for getting more buffs, but Arcane-to-Swing is not worth it.
Synergies
Because we get 3 different types of buffs (prowess, finesse and bulwark) from our skills, we can use those to get the synergy skills to also get other buffs. Look out for Aptitude, which increases Critical Damage, and Resillience, which increases block. I highly recommend using the Synergetic rune to get more of these rewards and also to make them more powerful.
Don't scale Lightning Surge
Lightning Surge is one of the few buffs that is 100% fine exactly how you get it. Increased Potency only raises the movespeed component, which isn't anything special. With the amount of cast frequency you're going to get for other skills anyway, you'll easily hit 100% uptime, making duration and lightning surge specific cast frequency worthless.
Banish everything
Crit chance? We got Dazed stacks to get that. Crit Damage? Hardly worth it once you get some Aptitude synergies going. Multicast? Maybe some, but Finesse stacks will take care of 80% of that. Damage? Well, we got Prowess stacks which will take over for the most part. Block? Nope, Bulwark stacks. Armor? We probably get enough from Resillience synergies.
The result of all this is that you can basically scale primarily cast frequency, mostly health, experience and really just the rare skill-type combo's like "more damage on non-swing skills for each swing skill you have". Still, I don't recommend banishing everything listed above right as you get started, because you will need some base stats to get the build rolling smoothly.
Paladin mechanic?
The paladin's mechanic with the holy orbs is powerful, but risky. You either have to time it really well or stand still, which can pretty dangerous. Without some serious investment, the gold orbs that remain after you missed the timing on a zone hardly fill the Divine bar, and you'll not sustain your holy mode for very long. It can be powerful if you've got the skill to manage it, but it's not really necesary.
Healing
It's nothing major, but worth mentioning that this build has quite a bit of healing. The Purity stacks you get from Blades of Light aren't much at first, but combined with the high block and high armor this build has, can provide quite some decent sustain and makes aggresive play much more forgiving. Don't be too afraid to get close and personal with bosses to quickly take them out, though be careful not to overdo it in higher cycles.

Rune choice

Versatility Runes:
The real upside of this build is that it really needs very little to get going, which means we won't be doing a ton of rerolling. We also don't need any non-paladin skills. This means just Endless Refill is enough to sustain our reroll and lock pools, and we can use both Material Harvest and Efficient Extraction for maximum material farming.
Tenacity Runes:
The most important one by far is the Divine Legacy rune, which is (in my opinion) easily the best rune in the game. By cleverly saving and using your locks only at every 25th level, you can get 3 legendary passives every 25 levels, which is just crazy. This is probably true for almost every build, so you'll see this section in a lot of my builds.
Synergetic is super important for really getting the most out of the buffs you get from your swing skills, as is the case for any build that focuses heavily on buff or damaging debuffs.
The final 3 points aren't super important, and you can kind-of take whatever. Since the build has 3 very fast skills and a ton of skillchain, I chose Battle Proficiency to easily build up more Prowess, and Multicast Mastery because it was the best remaining fit.

Stat priorities

These are the priorities for "basic" stats. Skill chain, type-synergies ( like "more damage per ice skill for non-ice skills", and legendary rewards are almost always better.
Prioritize in order:
Cast Frequency
You need relatively high amounts of cast frequency to get all 3 of your swing skills at 0.5s cooldown or lower. You can also get skill-specific cast speed to enhance them even further. Blades of Light can be pushed as far as a 0.2s with significant investment, but since we really don't need many other stats, this is quite doable in a full run.
Rest
It's kind of weird that this build really only needs cast frequency, but that's really just it. As previously mentioned in the Mechanics section, many attributes can be banished (eventually), which doesn't leave you much to choose from to begin with.

Legendary Priorities

Since this build is so basic, I though I might give some more attention to the Legendary rewards. Most of them are pretty self explanatory, but there's two that are actually pretty bad and potentially even worth bannishing if you find you run out of rerolls a lot: Increased Physical Damage and Anything-to-Lightning chains.
Increased Physical Damage effects 4 of your skills, so it might seem good, but those 4 skills really don't matter in terms of damage or potency. None of them will amount to much more than 1% of your total damage, and Lightning Surge's dazed stacks don't scale at all. On the other hand, Multicast for Physical Skills is great, because it greatly increases the number of buffs you get.
Anything-to-Lightning doesn't matter because your only Lightning skill is Lightning Surge. With the amounts of Cast Frequency this build needs, you'll easily get 100% uptime. Since Lightning Surge is a buff, recasting the skill only refreshes the duration, but doesn't add a second layer like it would for Arcane Beam or Light Beam.

That's the build!

The Arcane-Holy Paladin has been really strong since forever, and its easy execution makes the Paladin one of the best characters in the game if you ask me. This build has high defenses, high damage, and a bunch of healing, all while being super easy to build and play, and with big material farming potential. There's also a number of variation possible, like using Smite, Might and Arcane Power instead of the swing-skills and going for Holy-to-Arcane chaining exclusively. A more advanced version uses the Extra Repertory rune and Skill Mastery Ice rune to also add Glacial Affinity and Disarray into the mix for even more damage, although with a much rougher build-path.

Hi, I wasn't able to find this guide so here you go. Disclaimer 1: Yup, "nothing new" for game experts here, it's a guide for newbies or those who doesn't remember all the details. Disclaimer 2: Please, read carefully. If it says "don't touch any mobs, just run" it literally means it. Disclaimer 3: This guide is made for Gracia Final with rates x1, but probably is applicable for Epilogue and H5 too.
Our goal here is to complete these ~10 quests as fast as possible, so every detail can be crucial. This guide is made for EO (Elven Oracle), coz it's the easiest and the fastest quest for 1st profession. But it will more or less work for all the races except Dark Elves (DE can make even more money with it's chain of quests, but not that fast).
So, let's start:
  1. You've created an Elven Mystic and is standing under the beautiful tree. DON'T touch any gremlins or NPC here, just click on SOE to Kamael Village. Talk to Newbie Guide and now you are lvl 2, congratulations!
  2. Run to the southern (there is "N" on your minimap in top right corner of the screen, works like a compass) exit. Talk to Marcela and take a quest Supply Check. Visit a couple of NPC in village and now you are lvl 5 with wooden set in your bag. Wear helmet, boots and gloves, ignore BP and gaiters.
  3. Run to Newbie Guide and become lvl 6. Take buffs and a shadow staff with a coupon. Place spiritshots on shortcuts bar and equip a staff.
  4. Run to Marcela again and take a quest Head of the Hill. Find a Gatekeeper Ragara on a city square and teleport to Stronghold I. Run to the south, find Green Goblin or Werewolf. Kill them until you receive 1 (one) claw. After you get it use SOE to Kamael Village, go to Marcela to report the quest. In dialogue choose "exchange for Adena" - "Say no".
  5. Run to Newbie Guide (yeah, again). Talk to him and become lvl 10. Choose "Teleport to another village" - "Elven Village" (Note! If you made another a character of another race on this step you need to go to your home village and complete analogue quest for your race).
  6. Talk to Sentinel Kendell next to the Gatekeeper. Take a quest Skirmish with the orcs. You receive "Kendell's N order" here N will mean the orc you need to kill. Now go google "kaboo orc map" and find a map with all the numbers. According to that map run to find quest monster you are told to kill. Kill it and use Adventurer's SOE. Speak to Kendell again and that lazy ass sends you to kill another one quest orc, so find the new number on the map run/tp to it and kill. Return to Kendell, report the quest and become lvl 11.
  7. By the Gatekeeper near go to Talking Island Village. On the central square talk to Newbie Guide - now you are lvl 15. Talk to Elias near to take a quest Cure for fever disease. Go to Gatekeeper and teleport to Talking Island, Northern territory. Kill Giant Spiders till you get Poison Sac. Use SOE, go to church, talk to Priest Yohanes about the quest. Go back to Elias, report the quest.
Important! If you had to kill to much spiders or didn't listen to instructions and killed more mobs and now you are lvl 16 - sorry, but you need to die. Nothing personal, but you need to be lvl 15 to go on.
  1. Talk to Newbie Guide and become lvl 18. Ask for support magic again. Go to Gatekeeper - tp to Gludin - tp to Gludio. Go to church.
  2. Talk to Priest Manuel. Learn some skills (at least Weapon Mastery, Armour Mastery, Battle Heal, Wind strike. Talk to him again, take a quest Path of the Elven Oracle. (Again, if you aren't Elven Mystic do the quest you need to get the 1st profession).
  3. Talk to Gatekeeper - tp to Gludin. Run to Gludin Harbour. You can open in-game map, click "Tracking", choose the quest and it will show you the exact position of needed NPC. Talk to Allana, kill 3 mobs that appear after it. Talk to her again.
  4. Run to the lighthouse on the hill behind the harbour (map - tracking). Talk to Perrin. Kill the ogre, talk to Perrin again. Return to Allana
  5. Use SOE to Kamael Village. Go talk with the Gatekeeper - tp to Gludio - talk to Priest Manuel in church to report the quest. Talk to High Priest in church about the first class transfer - Oracle - Change the profession. Learn more skills, if you want.
  6. Talk to Gatekeeper - tp to Dark Elven Village. Find Carlon in warehouse, take a quest Dwarven Kinship.
  7. Talk to Gatekeeper - tp to Gludio. Find Haprock in warehouse. In quest dialogue choose "Say you will do the favor".
  8. Gatekeeper - Gludin - Norman in warehouse, report the quest.
  9. Gatekeeper - tp to Orc village. In the left wing of the King's Hall Talk to seer Livina, take a quest Walk of Fate.
  10. Gatekeeper - Schuttgart. Go to Orc Guild, talk to seer Moira, take a quest Ominous News.
  11. Gatekeeper - Crypts of Disgrace. Report both quests to Karuda. Now you are lvl 21 (if you aren't - kill a couple of monsters there around to become 21). SOE to Kamael Village. Gatekeeper - Elven Village.
  12. Talk to Sentinel Starden on the western exit, take a quest Legacy of the Poet.
  13. Talk to Trader Creamees in Grocery Store, take a quest Blood Fiend.
  14. Gatekeeper - Elven Fortress (not forest). Run into the fortress and in first two rooms kill orcs until you get four poems.
  15. Now you will need to run bravely and unstoppably through the whole fortress (use healing potions if needed) to the last room to find there quest monster Kinurak and kill it (google the quest to find the way if you are not sure where exactly to run). There are guards near to it but if you stand on the max range from it you should be able to kill it before guards reach you about your expired warranty. After killing Kinurak you can fight guards or die and stand to to village. If you are a great warrior and have won - use SoE. Report those 2 quest ti NPCs you got them from.
Now you have +/- 277k Adena. You can sell all the things from your bag to get another ~30k (don't sell EAD, enchant scroll, you'll probably need it later).

Hello! These days i've been feeling overwhelmed by the want to create my own custom handheld console... To make this short here's a brief idea of the project:
  1. Use an sbc board with nice poweprice ratio and a DSI interface connecton. I'm not spending over 70€ (yes i'm from italy)
  2. 5 inch compatible display (not touch as i don't need it, and possibly cheap)
  3. 3/4 hours lasting battery (still can't find the TDP of that damn sbc)
  4. controller for controls just like a normal controller (also wanted to use 3DS style analog sticks)
  5. possibly a fan block to make it cooler (just like ones from the macbook, thin and nice). If needed with a copper pipe or any way to cool that thing.
  6. very low power speakers
  7. overall look similar to the retroid pockete 3+.
  8. has an hdmi/mini hdmi... port.
  9. the overall project is not meant to be too expensive
A plus i would add is a pcb to connect to the main board in order to fit the board the best way possible with buttons and I/O on the top and bottom of the console

Okay, let me lay it down what I meant, they call these kind of games metroidvania - nonlinear and blocked doors system.
Like I have started the game this past week, and I've reached Kashyyk and was able to get force/pull jedi powers. While this is all fair and good but I had to google so many times bcz there were areas where I was stuck and had no idea how to proceed.
Like in Bogano I was stuck for so long thinking it is a puzzle I have to solve to get there but googling it made me realize I don't have the xyz jedi powerup so I have to comeback later on.
For Dathomir, which opened fairly early I went there after I completed some part of Kashyyk and Zeffo yet I still needed some jedi flip powerup to cross an area. Like how do they expect me to know when to stop fussing over an area and when to really rack my mind to solve the puzzle.
I love the game no doubt but this frustrates the hell outta me. Maybe by the end of the game I'll feel at home in jedi survivor lol.
