2024.05.19 08:06 Big-ghadaffi AIW? For asking for a deposit after the first conversation?

basically this kid wanted me to deliver a PC part I have for sale on Facebook marketplace to him because he didn’t have a car. I would have to take it after work early in the morning and would make my commute an hour or two longer depending on traffic. we agree on a price date and time after a couple days of communication. The morning of( 2:30am) (meeting 7am) he asks me if I can accept 100$ less than what we agreed for because “it’s a little too much” and I of course say no. We stop the conversation there and he leaves. A couple of months later the kid messages me again like nothing ever happened and I immediately ask where he wants to meet and he says the same place as last time. I ask for 20$ more than the previous time and he offers me the previous 200$ amount we agreed on and I replied with “ No, you lowballed me last time on the day of the meeting, you can pay now through zelle half and the other half when I get there.” He replies - “I don't know who you are l've never met you before you have me confused with somebody else So can we do 200 at that location for Friday?” To that I send him a screenshot of our previous conversation of him switching it up on me the day of. And he says -
“I see you must've got moved around in the FACEBOOK Marketplace queue you were the balrog that couldn't take $90 off the graphics card”
Me- “Like I said zelle half now and the other half when I get there”
Him- “well, do you want to do 200 and we can try this again I'm paying you more than the graphics card so do you want to try this again at that location I sent”
Me- “I'm not interested thanks”
Him- “nobody pays half for a product that I didn't receive you don't go to Best Buy and pay them before you arrive at a store. Doesn't work like that.
what I can do instead is I can message you Thursday to confirm that I'm ready and then you can start heading that way Just saw I'm not wasting your time, but I'm not sending you money beforehand Take this listing off too because you're not selling well you're confusing me with the other good listings”
Me- “You don't order things on Amazon? You pay full price for the item before you get it. I'm not gonna rearrange my schedule for you again only for you to cancel. You make my commute home an hour and a half longer.”
Him- “ yeah, because that's a multi billion dollar business and people are known not to get scammed from Amazon plus they have refund policies which you don't that's the difference”
Me- “Look I already said I'm not interested, you can leave again.”
Him- “ if I buy from you or give you half my fucking money if the card breaks or you flake out, how can I be sure that l'll get that money back doesn't make any sense never ever ask somebody for a half deposit and please, for the love of God take your listing down your cancerous to the community”
So am I wrong? First time posting like this and also on my phone. I’d post the conversation if I could.

2024.05.19 08:06 Grapefruit_Mimosa I pre-paid a mechanic to do an engine swap on my car. It’s been two years.

So I had this project car, and no matter what I did (including consulting several mechanics), the engine wouldn’t run right. I found a mechanic who offered to do an engine swap for an affordable flat rate; a few thousand dollars. He is several states away. I talked to a former customer of his and he seemed very legit, so I paid him and shipped the car down to him.
I also did the very dumb thing of not asking for a written contract. I just have my credit card statement from paying him.
The original time quote was a couple of months. Initially, he said there were delays because the parts were hard to find. I checked in every couple months and it was always something else. I was pretty lenient because it was a deal, and I had another car to get around so I didn’t miss the project car.
You may be wondering; why didn’t I put more pressure on earlier, especially in the last year? Well, I had some pretty massive things to deal with in my personal life so this car was at the very bottom of my priority list.
Anyway, it’s coming up on two years and I just want to get this resolved. How can I get this guy to either finish the job, or refund me the money? Last time I talked to him, no work had even been done yet. This was a month ago.
I just want to get some kind of resolution. I don’t even care about the car at this point. What is the best course of action here?
Would appreciate any advice! Thanks in advance.

2024.05.19 08:05 u-provoked-me-bee Help!

Hello everyone, I am married with 1 child. My husband and I both work. We both used to work 60 plus hours a week. However because of burnout we both decided to cut back on hours. I went down to 40 hours and I do get overtime maybe 4 hours per week. However he decided he wanted to take a different position at the company he works for. I told him if that's what he needs to do to combat the burnout he was feeling. However he never told me that the position came with a paycut as well as it was part time work. I would have never agreed to that! He has credit card debt that needs to be paid. This man has not paid a bill in almost 3 years. While he was working 60 plus hours a week I thought he was paying off his credit debt but unbeknownst to me he was not. I feel like he is just irresponsible with money. We discussed buying a house but I have been putting it off, because I will be the one on the hook for everything financially. I told him he has to pick up a second job but he hasn't even looked into it. It's like he is comfortable with me paying for everything because he works about 30hours a week, and can only afford to pay half the rent because of his credit card debt. We never combined finances or bank accounts, we kept things how they were before marriage. We recently revisited the subject of buying a home. I asked what his credit score looked like he said it was in the 5 something range, I was shocked. He asked me mine and I told him 780 772 and 764. I knew my exact scores with all 3 major credit bureaus. He said oh well we can just buy the home using your credit. I love my family but how I don't feel like he is trying. How can I motivate him without making him feel less than?

2024.05.19 07:54 454ever how would you deal with overbearing parents as an adult child?

Long story short, I just got in a heated argument with my father over how he treats my 13 year old brother (more on that later). I am 21 years old and they still control a lot of my life. I am financially independent (technically, more on that later as well).
For some background. I was raised VERY religious. Those Christian moms you see on social media that was my father. I never went to prom (because godforbid I got out in the world). I went to a public high school but was still super sheltered. My life outside of school consisted of coming home and working on homework, the extra homework he assigned me, yelling because I never did "good enough," and church youth group (which I hated because I am not a Christian). I made good grades, mostly As, the occasional B, and one C (in chemistry, but I mean come on that shits hard). That was never good enough. Every single assignment I did he had to look at. Study guide for an exam. He had to look at it. Discussion board reply. You guessed it he looked at that too. I didn't get a phone until sophomore year of high school and when I did I got one of those shitty 80 dollar Samsung phones that you couldn't do shit on (and where he checked all my texts, notes, and emails). I was very sheltered. The extent of my fun was shooting the shit with my friends in the cafeteria at lunch and on the bus. I wasn't allowed to go to birthday parties or sleepovers or even go over to a friends house. He is raising my brother the same way, but way worse. If I am ever blessed with kids one day he has taught me what not to do.
Thankfully I am now in my third year of college. I picked a school he didn't want me to go to. Not because of money or anything he just said "you aren't going to a party school. There are too many idiots there you don't need to be around." I rebelled and committed to that school. Hands down the best decision I have ever made. I have a full ride scholarship that pays for my tuition (although it is dirt cheap for in-state already). I also have a scholarship that pays for rent for my 1100 dollar a month apartment and gives me about 500 spending money every month. I consider this my second best accomplisment as screwed up as that may sound. My father controls my money. All of it. I have a credit card that I use and then he pulls that money out of my account. I have no idea how much money I have and what he is doing with said money. He also has access to my Schwab and Vanguard accounts. He says he does this to help me with investing but I know there is more to it. He still wants to control me. I don't even know my damn login to the banking app for Christ sake (sorry not sorry dad for using the Lords name in vane). I know I should have fixed this issue sooner but I didn't want to fuck up our relationship. I am not sure what to do about this.
Another major problem came from this sheltered/overbearing environment I grew up in is my inability to say no to things I have never done before. Throughout my time in college I have experimented with drugs and alcohol (cocaine, weed, molly, lsd, shrooms, xans, oxy, you name it, pretty much with the exception of meth and heroin, I've done it and not just once). I am not proud of this (minus the fun I've had on psychs and even then not one of my better attributes). As a result of his abusive parenting style I have a hard time saying no and give in super easily to peer pressure. So much so that the first friends i met at college I still hang around with. These guys I probably shouldn't be around (the type where daddy pays for everything so they get a four-year drug fueled adventure in college). Don't get me wrong they aren't all that bad but just not the type of people I though I would be hanging around. I never thought I would be sleeping around, going to clubs on a Tuesday, and doing lines of coke off my island at 4pm but here we are. I am not proud of this but feel like I started doing these things because I was finally free. It is so hard to stop now. I think that I hang around them as a sense of rebellion to my parents and a sort of "f u" if you will. I know it is wrong but it feels good to finally be free. I have developed a raging nicotine addiction as well (something I am definitely not proud of). My parents have no idea. I have had to lie to them about things for the past three years.
I don't know if that is a result of my own actions or the years upon years upon years of constant yelling by my father. I mean for fucks sake the man never told me good job on anything. I got an A on a test it wasn't good job. It was "show me the test and what you got wrong," followed by a thirty minute yelling match about how I fucked up on the test. When I got into college on a full ride it wasn't good job it was "that is all because of me and the things I gave you." When I graduated high school it wasn't good job. It was my mom, god bless her she is great but tied down by my father, putting on a dinner party for me with all the neighbors and my parents friends. My dad was there but never even spoke to me (he just bullshitted to his friends about how I was such a hard worker (mind you he never told me this) and other things that narcissists do). I never was told good job when I got Eagle scout. That fucked me up, all of it. I am not one to want praise or one of those participation trophy people but come on that's fucked up at least in my mind. I never heard good job once.
He does the same shit to my brother but worse. My brother is 13 and in seventh grade at a private Christian K-12 school (one of those rich schools where the parents drive benzs and the kids have gucci shoes and shit). My father doesn't send my brother there because it is a better school, trust me, it is not by any stretch of the word. He sends him there to look better (aka "my kid goes to a private school you peasants" type of behavior). Recently, my brother was caught playing a computer game (papa's pizazaria on coolmathgames). Off topic but that is still the best one and you cannot change my mind. When he caught my brother they went at it for four hours. Now my dad checks my brothers search history, backpack and every single piece of paper in every binder every single day. He has moved my brothers desk into the living room and made my brother buy, with his own money, 300 dollar noise cancelling headphones to somehow be able to focus down there. My brother now has developed a twitch and the habit of twirling his hair. It was gotten so bad that some of his hair is falling out because of it and my dad refuses to take responsibility for it. The kid is so stressed that you would think he is on coke or meth the way he acts. He told me that he is scared when my dad comes home from work. I brought this up with my dad and asked him how he feels about his child being scared of him. My dad said nothing. Not one word. I am asking advice/thoughts on this situation.
To end things off I want advice on what I should do moving forward. I am home for the summer and working a job up here but am really considering not working and going back down to my school. I never had a normal childhood and can't stand my brother being treated this way. He is not allowed to go outside and play with the neighbor kids, watch TV, search ANYTHING on his computer, and take breaks longer than dinner away from his "schoolwork." I can't handle this shit anymore. I understand that part of my situation is my doing but I think it partly stems from the years of manipulation and control on behalf of my father. Am I overreacting? What would you do?
P.S. One final thing I wanted to say to get off my chest is that I do not respect this man. He yells at my mother constantly about how when she lets him be a kid and do kid things she is "setting him up for failure." I don't mean yelling I mean cussing and screaming to the point when I go to bed I can hear my mother crying. It hurts me to hear her cry it really does. I'm a bigger dude, 6 foot, 210, built. But that shit hurts. A fucking lot. I'm at the point where he needs to be confronted about it. I have lost every ounce of respect I have ever had for him. This may be an overreaction but I don't think so. He still controls my life. He tracks where I go in school, what I buy, etc. I have to lie to him sometimes but I am okay with that. This is the first real fun I have had in my life. I am doing pretty good in school, 3.1 gpa in a major I (not him) am happy in. I already have a job lined up outside of school making 58k straight out the gate. He has no idea because I don't tell him shit, he doesn't deserve to know in my mind. This is a man who will act super nice around everyone but our family. He is super active in the church and scouting, although he doesn't let my brother go anymore. He constantly gives to charity and volunteers around the community. You would never know this if you watched how our family operates on any given day behind closed doors. The only conversations I have with him now are about "why is there a charge for mexican food on the credit card. you should be studying," or my personal favorite "why is there a charge for x amount of dollars at a convenience store at 9:00 at night. Only bad people hang outside after dark (by bad people he is referring to everyone who is non-Christian by the way)."
This man has held me back so much even in college. I understand that this is partly my fault because as a legal adult I could have stopped this but I did not want to ruin our relationship. He stopped me from going on trips because "people could be drinkng" and has told me that on my 21st birthday (last week) that if he ever catches me drinking or vaping or anything I will not be allowed back into the house. I want to get clean but I do that shit as a fuck you to him. I apologize about cussing so much in here I'm just frustrated and need to get some stuff of my chest. I can't be the only one with parents like this. Right? I refuse to let this situation continue on. Should I do something about the way he treats me and my brother and mom? What do I do? What would you do? FYI cutting him out of my life entirely is not ideal because my mom and I still get along great. I would do it if there was a way to still be able to see my mom as they live in the same house. Minus certain political issues (mostly economic stuff) my dad and I don't agree on anything. He is the most judgemental person I have ever met in my life. I have met upwards of 1000 people in the past couple of years and he is by far the most judgemental person I have ever met. There is not even a close second.
Am I overreacting? What would you do in this situation? God bless and thanks for any and all responses/similar stories you all are willing to share. This seems like a great group of people. Stay blessed and if you need someone to talk to I am here for anything.

🔗Dorman Emergency Door Unlock Tool with Vinyl Grip

https://preview.redd.it/ssvyme07ob1d1.jpg?width=720&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=99f8476a67c556974c558632ea0d2efc7a69de0a
Well, my experience with this Dorman Emergency Door Unlock Tool has been quite an adventure, let me tell you. I mean, I've always been a bit of a worrier, especially when it comes to my car door. I've had my fair share of lockouts, and it's never a good time. But this little tool, it's changed everything!
First off, I love how versatile it is. I can reshape it to fit the thickness of my door and the location of the lock. It's like it's tailor-made just for me, and my car! Plus, it comes with a nice vinyl hand grip. It makes it so much easier to use. It's like holding onto a friendly, familiar face in a moment of pure panic.
Another great thing about this tool is that it's portable. It folds up so neatly, like a little origami masterpiece. It fits perfectly in my pocket, purse, or any other compartment I can find. It's like having a magic trick up my sleeve, always ready to save the day.
But, let's be real, no product is perfect. I have to admit, this tool can sometimes be a bit of a troublemaker. It's not always as smooth as I'd like it to be. There have been a few times when it's stuck in the narrow space between the door and the weather stripping. It's kind of like trying to force a square peg into a round hole, you know? It can be a bit frustrating.
However, on the bright side, I've found that by taking a little extra time and being patient, I can usually get it to work. And when it does, it's such a relief! It's like a personal victory, and it makes me feel so smart and resourceful.
So, would I recommend this product? Absolutely! It's not perfect, but it's worked wonders for me. It's like having a little insurance policy tucked away in my pocket, always there to help me out when I need it most. I'm just glad I stumbled upon it.

🔗Lock Technology 4-Piece Easy Access Folding Door Opening Kit

https://preview.redd.it/scl6xh67ob1d1.jpg?width=720&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=f050ad141adf382263d7dcfea99d013d88623cc9
I recently discovered the Lock Technology 145 Easy Access Folding Door Opening Kit, and it has become an indispensable tool for unlocking my car doors. This compact device is a true lifesaver when I've locked my keys inside or when I need to access the trunk in a hurry.
The highlights that caught my attention are the screws that don't require a coupler, which have made it incredibly easy to use. Plus, the collapsible design allows for easy storage in my glove compartment. Another great feature is the presence of a middle extension piece that covers the entire car and can be used for long reach applications. The shorter tip is perfect for accessing lock buttons, while the glowing tips on models 135-2B and 135-2C are an excellent innovation for nighttime use.
One downside I experienced was the need for more precise angle adjustments when trying to unlock my car doors. While the rigid design facilitated easier access through the window, it could be trickier for those with less experience or unsteady hands. Other than that minor inconvenience, this door opening kit has been a game changer for me.
So, if you're someone who often finds themselves in need of a last-minute or after-hours unlock solution, I highly recommend giving the Lock Technology 145 Easy Access Folding Door Opening Kit a try. You won't be disappointed!

Imagine locking your keys in your car. It's a frustrating and stressful situation, but with the Universal Lockout Tool, you can save yourself some time and money. This ingenious tool works with most American cars, as well as some international brands such as Audi, Toyota, and Volkswagen.
The best part? It's made of sturdy metal, giving you the confidence to use it without worrying about damaging your vehicle. It measures about 5/8" x 22", making it compact enough to carry around in your glove compartment or tool kit.
While some users have had issues with its thinness and flexibility, many professionals find it a decent entry-level tool for those occasional lockouts. Plus, at its affordable price, it's definitely worth considering as an insurance policy against those unexpected key-locking mishaps.
But remember, practice makes perfect. Always read the directions included on the back of the package and familiarize yourself with the tool before attempting to use it on your car. With some patience and a bit of finesse, you'll be able to unlock your vehicle in no time!

🔗Geevorks Power Door Lock Actuator 12V

https://preview.redd.it/muh2e2z7ob1d1.jpg?width=720&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=d19305a1e6ea49f50436e7ed756977e30c865fab
As a car enthusiast, I was excited to try out the Geevorks 12V door lock actuator. This kit made upgrading my old manual door locks to automatic ones a breeze! The installation was relatively easy, and the product included everything from door lock actuators to remote controls. The remote controls allowed me to lock and unlock my car from a distance, giving me peace of mind when I step away from my vehicle.
One of the main highlights for me was the trunk release button, adding an extra layer of convenience when I need to access my trunk. Additionally, the door lock actuator can be used in remote control and alarm systems, making it a versatile product for various car security needs.
On the downside, the remote control distance could be improved. In some cases, I experienced a weaker signal which made locking or unlocking the car from a distance less reliable. Despite this minor inconvenience, overall, the Geevorks door lock actuator has made my driving experience more secure and convenient.

🔗Car Door Unlock Tool with Vinyl Grip

https://preview.redd.it/c6x7rm58ob1d1.jpg?width=720&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=803f575bfc977f1e89d1fc88355828684cde5c1a
Dorman's Emergency Door Unlock Tool is a handy little gadget that can save your day if you accidentally lock your keys inside your car. Imagine the relief of unlocking your car door within seconds using the slim design of this tool, which can be easily folded to fit in your pocket, purse or other compartments. The vinyl hand grip makes it comfortable and easy to use even in tight spaces.
However, there are some downsides to consider. Some users found it difficult to get the tool past the window seal and mentioned it folds up easily during use. It may not work effectively for all types of car doors due to their varying thickness and lock locations.
Overall, this tool can be quite useful for those who occasionally find themselves locked out of their vehicle. But be aware that it might require some practice or patience to get it right depending on your particular car model. So, if you're looking for a quick solution to this common mishap, Dorman's Emergency Door Unlock Tool could be worth a shot.

🔗Universal 10-Piece Vehicle Unlock Tool Kit

https://preview.redd.it/s6357qm8ob1d1.jpg?width=720&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=a98a6022487db229e198a018819a6715ec59de81
I recently had an unfortunate experience where I locked myself out of my car. Panicking, I remembered the Universal 10-Piece Vehicle Unlock Tool Kit I'd heard about. Its assorted tools and convenient pouch seemed perfect for this situation. Upon pulling it out of the bag, I was immediately disappointed by the poor instructions. The metal tools felt flimsier than anticipated, bending on the first attempt. However, the variety of tools allowed me to eventually unlock my car door, although not without a fight. I wouldn't recommend this to a friend, but it did save me from an expensive professional service.
The tool kit is compact and easy to carry, making it a handy emergency tool for drivers. The metal tools are versatile, catering to different vehicle models. The convenient pouch is spacious enough to hold all the tools. However, the build quality of the tools is disappointing, as they seem to bend easily under pressure. Overall, it's a useful tool kit for occasional use, but don't expect it to last a lifetime.

🔗Unlock Your Car Door with Ease: LTI135 2-Piece Easy Access ToolKit

https://preview.redd.it/tw4kx129ob1d1.jpg?width=720&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=99dbc9a67e834fef37c0f4356ab77c6c6aeadaad
I recently used the Lock Technology Easy Access Door Unlocking Tool Kit 135 in a tricky situation where I locked myself out of my car. To my relief, this 2-piece tool easily collapsed for convenient storage and extended to reach the car's windows. The whale tail tip design worked like a charm on the lock surfaces, making it a breeze to unlock my car door. Plus, the included plastic slip jim and door wedges provided extra support.
However, despite the overall positive experience, I did face a minor issue with this kit. The lack of a highlight feature in the product description made it somewhat challenging to understand the exact specifications of each component. Additionally, the green color of the tool might not appeal to everyone's taste.
In conclusion, the Lock Technology Easy Access Door Unlocking Tool Kit 135 proved to be a reliable and effective solution for my car lockout predicament. Its collapsible design, whale tail tip, and additional accessories make it a worthwhile investment for those looking to keep a handy tool in their vehicle for emergencies.

As a reviewer who has experienced the joy of retrieving keys from locked cars, I can attest to the life-saving capabilities of the Steck Big Easy Glow with Wedge Lockout Tool Kit. This kit has everything you need to rescue someone from their own forgetfulness or mischief at any hour of the day or night. The glow-in-the-dark yellow hue is not only cool but also incredibly functional, allowing you to see the tool even through tinted windows.
One aspect that really stood out for me was the easy wedge feature. It offers controlled opening of the car door for insertion of the Big Easy Glo, making it incredibly easy to access the inside of the vehicle without causing any damage. Additionally, its non-marring wedge prevents scratches or damages to your car, ensuring your beloved vehicle stays pristine even after a minor lockout incident.
However, despite its many positives, there are a few cons worth noting. The included air wedge seems to be somewhat delicate and may not last as long as other parts of the kit. Also, while the kit is effective on 98% of all cars and trucks, there might be some models or makes that are not compatible with this tool.
In conclusion, if you're someone who often encounters people locked out of their cars, then the Steck Big Easy Glow with Wedge Lockout Tool Kit is definitely worth considering. It's easy to use, effective, and offers an array of useful features that cater to different types of car locks. While it may have some minor drawbacks, overall, it's a reliable tool that can save both time and money when used appropriately.

🔗Visible Pink Door Unlock Kit for Cars

I have been using the Steck Lockout Tool Kit Big Easy for over a year now, and let me tell you, it's been an absolute game-changer. This tool has saved me countless times when I've locked my keys inside the car, much to the amusement of my friends.
One of the first things that stood out was the high visibility pink powder coating on its 55-inch long handle. In the middle of the night or during a snowstorm, finding this pink tool is a breeze compared to the black ones I used before. Plus, the improved non-marring wedge is now wider, longer, and smoother, making it even easier to use in various car models.
While the Big Easy is primarily designed for unlocking car doors, it also features a lock knob lifter, which comes in handy for cars with flat lock knobs at the top of the door. No more trying to improvise with a wire hanger or credit card - the Big Easy does it all.
However, there are a couple of minor drawbacks. Some users might find the storage size of the tool inconvenient, and it would be great if the package included a pump-up air bag for extra versatility.
Overall, the Steck Lockout Tool Kit Big Easy has been a reliable and convenient addition to my toolbox. With its 55-inch long handle and high visibility pink coating, I can quickly and easily unlock any car door without causing damage. If you're someone who frequently misplaces their keys or finds themselves locked out of their vehicle, I highly recommend giving this tool a try.

I recently installed the Biltek Power Car Door Lock and Unlock Kit in my Chevy Colorado, and I must say, it has been a game-changer. Before, I had to manually lock and unlock each door, but now, everything is just a button press away. The package included everything I needed to get started, from the simple diagram to the main module and actuators. Plus, it's compatible with my alarm system, so I can control everything right from my alarm remote.
The standout feature for me is the keyless entry. It's so convenient to hop in the car and just unlock the doors with a push of a button. The only downside I noticed was that the installation process took some time and effort, but once it was done, everything worked seamlessly.
Overall, I highly recommend the Biltek Power Car Door Lock and Unlock Kit to anyone looking to upgrade their vehicle to a central locking system with keyless entry. It's easy to use, reliable, and a great investment for any car owner.

I recently upgraded my car with the Biltek CX-402 Universal Central Door Lock and Unlock Conversion Kit, and I must say it's made a world of difference in terms of convenience. The kit is easy to install, requiring no additional hardware and coming with a clear diagram that guides you through the process.
One of the standout features is its universal compatibility, fitting all known cars, trucks, SUVs, and vans. This has been particularly useful for me, as I often drive different vehicles. The Central locking system provides a state-of-the-art solution, converting manual door locks into a fully functional keyless entry system.
However, there's a downside to this product - the poor-quality wires. The wires were the only problem I encountered during installation, which was quite frustrating. Despite this, the Biltek CX-402 is an overall solid choice for anyone looking to upgrade their vehicle's locking system.

I recently got my hands on this LTI LT-126 Easy Access Tool and boy, has it been a game-changer for me! After suffering countless failed attempts to unlock doors in tight spaces or with tricky locks, this little tool has made things so much easier. The whale tail tip design is pure genius, allowing it to grip the lock more securely and catch it without much effort. Plus, the fact that you can use it with or without the vinyl tips depending on your preference just adds to its versatility.
What I particularly appreciated was how the tool came packaged in a simple yet sturdy custom kraft cardboard box. Not only did it make the whole experience feel more special, but also added an environmental touch which is always a welcome sight.
However, one thing that could have been even better was if the tool had come with some detailed instructions on how best to handle it, especially for first-time users. Nonetheless, once you figure out the right technique, this LTI LT-126 Easy Access Door Tool truly lives up to its name!

As a frequent traveler, I've found the Grip 8pc Lockout Tool Kit to be an absolute lifesaver. Imagine being stuck outside your car on a sweltering day, with no spare key or anyone to help you out. That's where this tool kit comes in. It's got everything you need to unlock your car door in no time.
One of the standout features of this kit is the slim jim bars - they're so thin yet sturdy, you'll wonder how they're able to pry open even the toughest doors. The slim jim bars are backed up by other useful tools like the wire form S hook slide lock tool and the wonder tool. Together, they make sure you're never locked out for long.
On the flip side, I did find the metal parts to be slightly flimsier than I'd hoped. It's not a deal-breaker but it does make me wary of using this kit too frequently. However, for occasional usage or as a backup tool, the Grip 8pc Lockout Tool Kit definitely earns its keep.
In conclusion, this tool kit has proven to be an essential part of my travel gear. It's well-made, easy to use, and offers a range of tools for different types of car doors. So whether you're prone to misplacing your keys or simply want to be prepared for any situation, the Grip 8pc Lockout Tool Kit is a worthwhile investment.

2024.05.19 07:23 FindingHeavy8811 My experience with Tangerine letting scammers get away with $7000

Hi everyone, I hope I am allowed to post my experience with Tangerine here because they have let me down and decided to let 2 scammers keep $7000 even though I have irrefutable evidence.
I just wanted to share my experience with everyone that I just had with Tangerine. They let 2 scammers keep $10,000 from me and refuse to do anything about it. This personal finance related, but here we go.
I own a small business selling furniture and this person from Montreal purchased $7,000worth of items. To keep things simple, the account on my website was under the name lets say is Jane Smith, and the card used to purchase belonged to John Doe. There is a chargeback that ends up getting filed and I call Jane Doe because that is the only phone number I have, and apparently she said that she never heard of John Doe, and her information must have been compromised. I have no other leads, so I send to my bank the evidence that I have that this person hasn't reached out, I am unable to contact them, no emails, no calls, and also provided proof of delivery (I can assure you 100% it was delivered)
John Doe banks with Tangerine, and Tangerine decides that this is not enough evidence and decides to give John Doe his money back. I don't want this scammer to get away with it, so I escalate it with Tangerine and eventually the CCAO (Scotiabank customer complaints appeal office).
I explain the situation and heres the catch, I call Jane Doe again and ask to speak with John Doe, I didn't let her know that I was from company abc, and she says, and I kid you not, 'Oh hes not with me right now, can I take a message', that is when I let her know I was with company abc, she gets flustered and backtracks and says that she already talked to us, has no idea who John Doe was and her information was compromised before abruptly hanging up. I have this phone call recorded. This just proves that they are lying because why would you purchase something using a fake account supposedly.
I give this to the CCAO, who is supposed to do impartial reviews on customer complaints, and they said they can't do anything about it. I even reviewed the evidence that John Doe gave to Tangerine when he opened up the chargeback, and he said that he sent an email and called and I told him that there is nothing that my company could do, I asked Tangerine if they can show me this email because I did not get anything from him, nor did I reply. They refused to investigate further.
Again, I hope it is okay for me to post this, I am just a little sad right now because Tangerine has been awful to deal with and even with all this evidence, they have decided to ignorantly let these 2 scammers commit fraud and I hope I can spread the word on how terrible they are.
Thank you

Once upon a time, I stumbled upon the Arkrocket Discovery 3-Speed Bluetooth Record Player with Retro Turntable and Built-In Speakers. As a music lover who appreciates both the classics and new sounds, I was excited to see how this little device would perform.
Right out of the box, I noticed its sleek design and vintage-inspired charm. The removable legs made it easy to fit into any space in my home. Setting up the turntable was a breeze, and within minutes, I was jamming to some old vinyls.
The sound quality was impressive for its size and price range. While the built-in speakers aren't booming, they're perfect for a cozy room or study. The ability to connect my phone via Bluetooth has made it even more versatile, allowing me to stream my favorite digital tunes right alongside my vinyl collection.
However, there was one minor issue that caught my attention. The legs are made of adhesive upholstery, which began to separate after some use. A quick fix with glue restored its appearance, but I wish it had been made with a sturdier material.
Overall, I am thoroughly pleased with my Arkrocket Discovery 3-Speed Bluetooth Record Player. It's not only a great conversation starter but also an affordable and reliable way to enjoy my favorite music in a nostalgic yet modern manner.

🔗Crosley Cruiser Plus Bluetooth Suitcase Turntable in Tourmaline

Once a vinyl enthusiast, always a vinyl enthusiast. That's my motto ever since I got my hands on the Crosley Cruiser Plus Turntable - Tourmaline. It just blends old school music with modern technology seamlessly. When I first unboxed it, I was instantly charmed by its charming suitcase-style shell. It gave off a vintage vibe that I absolutely loved. Plus, the built-in Bluetooth receiver and stereo speakers took the convenience factor up a notch.
Navigating through the Turntable is a breeze. The adjustable pitch control and 3-speed feature (33 1/3, 45 & 78 RPM) gave me the flexibility to play any vinyl record I wanted. And don't even get me started on the Bluetooth in/out capability. It was like having a digital music player and a vinyl record player all wrapped into one device.
One day, I had the brilliant idea of connecting my phone to the turntable and playing some of my favorite vinyl-to-digital remastered tracks. The sound quality was phenomenal, a perfect blend of digital clarity and analog warmth. Now, if only it didn't skip randomly sometimes. . .
Despite the occasional skip, the Crosley Cruiser Plus Turntable has been a reliable and enjoyable companion on my vinyl adventure. It's portable, easy to use, and best of all, it beautifully blends the charm of old school vinyl with the convenience of modern technology.

🔗Bluetooth Vinyl Record Player with Built-In Stereo Speakers, 3-Speed Belt-Driven Turntable, AUX, RCA & Headphone Sockets

https://preview.redd.it/4r6hc26vib1d1.jpg?width=720&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=24689ae9c70aa600cb5a97f615dad61b9d8b6ae4
I recently got my hands on this Bluetooth-enabled vintage vinyl record player and it's been a fantastic addition to my music collection. The first thing that caught my eye was the sleek, retro design that adds a touch of class to any room. But, it's not all about looks. The built-in Bluetooth function makes it incredibly easy to connect and play my favorite digital music from my phone or tablet, while the 3-speed belt-driven turntable lets me enjoy all of my vinyl records at various speeds.
One of the standout features for me is the high-sensitivity stylus, which does an excellent job of accurately reading record information. The audio output is decent for its size, and I appreciate the added flexibility of the 3.5mm Aux-in and RCA output options. However, the built-in speakers could be better, so I sometimes connect it to my external speaker system for a more immersive listening experience.
Some drawbacks I noticed are the relatively low power output, which might not be able to fill a big room with sound, as well as the lack of an adaptive speed feature. Additionally, the build quality feels a bit flimsy and the accompanying instructions could be clearer.
Overall, this Bluetooth record player is a stylish and functional addition to any music lover's collection, offering a nostalgic vinyl listening experience with modern connectivity. It's not perfect, but for its price point, it's definitely worth considering.

🔗Bluetooth Vinyl Turntable with 40W Stereo Speakers

https://preview.redd.it/phrbaubvib1d1.jpg?width=720&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=e6c440c810a089975924b5fed55e740647ab3870
As a music enthusiast, I've had my fair share of turntables, but the Arkrocket Cassini has truly stood out. Upon receiving it, I was blown away by its stunning walnut finish and sleek design. The ease of setup was impressive, making it truly user-friendly. However, what truly captured my attention was the sound quality this turntable delivers.
It uses a moving magnet cartridge system, which offers a stable playback, allowing my vinyls to be enjoyed in all their glory. This turntable also supports Bluetooth, giving me the flexibility to connect with wireless speakers or headphones when I want. The included 40Watt bookshelf speakers are a cherry on top, providing clear and powerful sound.
The only con I noticed was that the turntable is a bit on the heavier side, making it a little less portable than some other options. However, this is a minor inconvenience for the incredible listening experience it provides. Overall, I highly recommend the Arkrocket Cassini for anyone looking to enhance their vinyl listening experience.

🔗Bluetooth Record Player with Stereo Speakers and Cassette Player

I've been using the Digitnow Bluetooth Record Player with Stereo Speakers, and it's been such a nostalgic blast. Not only does it let me play my old vinyls, but it also has cassette functionality, making it a compact all-in-one media player.
One of the standout features for me is the MP3 conversion capability. As someone who's been slowly digitizing my old music collection, this has been a game-changer. No need for a computer, just connect your USB or SD card and convert your vinyls directly into a MP3 format. The built-in speakers are decent, but they really shine when connected to an external sound system.
The design is quite user-friendly too. The buttons are clearly labeled, and there's even a remote control for added convenience. Plus, the retro look with wooden sides adds a touch of classic charm to my home decor.
However, there are a few downsides. The build quality could be better, as it feels a bit flimsy in places. Additionally, while the sound quality is passable, it's not quite on par with dedicated audio equipment.
Despite these minor drawbacks, I've absolutely loved using the Digitnow Bluetooth Record Player. It's perfect for anyone who wants to relive their old vinyl and tape days, or for those looking to preserve and share their music collection.

I recently got my hands on the Arkrocket Full-Size Jukebox Vinyl Record Player and I must say, it brought back a lot of nostalgic memories of my childhood trips to the soda shop. This retro-inspired marvel not only looks stunningly classic but also provides a delightful listening experience with various playback options.
One of the features that truly stood out for me was its bluelight compatibility. It allowed me to effortlessly stream music from my smartphone right into the jukebox, blending old-school charm with modern convenience. Additionally, it comes equipped with a USB port, an SD card slot, and of course, a CD player - talk about versatility!
However, there were a couple of minor drawbacks. The jukebox is quite heavy at nearly 47 pounds, making it a little challenging to move around. Furthermore, I noticed that some parts seemed slightly fragile and needed careful handling.
In conclusion, if you're looking to add a touch of retro style to your home while enjoying your vinyl collection or streaming tunes from your phone, the Arkrocket Full-Size Jukebox Vinyl Record Player could be just what you need. Just remember to handle it with care and maybe keep it in one spot due to its weight.

🔗Vinyl Record Player with MP3 Converter, Bluetooth, CD, and Cassette

I recently got my hands on the Digitnow Bluetooth Record Player Turntable, and I can tell you firsthand that it's a versatile and retro-chic addition to your music setup. The briefcase-style design is both trendy and timeless, featuring classic color schemes that blend seamlessly with any decor.
One of the standout features of this turntable is its ability to play multiple formats, including vinyl, CDs, cassettes, and even MP3s. The twin detachable speakers offer clear and loud sound, ensuring that you can jam out to your tunes without any pesky noise interference. Plus, the built-in Bluetooth connection lets you stream music wirelessly from your phone or laptop, giving you even more options for your listening pleasure.
Another awesome feature is the vinyl-to-MP3 recording function. This allows you to digitize your vinyl records and save them on a USB or SD card, making it easier than ever to backup and share your old vinyl collection with friends and family.
Now, let's talk about the downsides, shall we? While the design is undoubtedly eye-catching, the build quality leaves something to be desired. Some users have reported issues with the CD door and overall durability of the unit. Additionally, the remote control is quite small and difficult to use, which can be frustrating if you're not a fan of getting up to change the volume or switch tracks.
In conclusion, the Digitnow Bluetooth Record Player Turntable is a unique and compact device that offers a wide range of listening options for music enthusiasts. While there are some minor drawbacks in terms of build quality and usability, the overall experience is enjoyable, especially for those who appreciate the nostalgic appeal of vinyl records.

As an avid vinyl lover, I recently had the chance to try out the Digitnow! Turntable Record Player. This sleek, vintage-styled device has three speeds and built-in speakers for easy listening. I was pleasantly surprised by its portability, as it's compact enough to take with me on trips or parties without compromising on sound quality. The adjustable 33 1/3, 45, or 78 RPM speeds let me enjoy all my vinyl records without any issues.
One thing that stood out to me was how easy it was to use. The minimalistic design made it straightforward to set up and operate, even for someone like me who's not very tech-savvy. Another highlight was the sound quality - the dynamic full-range stereo speakers delivered crisp, clear audio that brought my old vinyl records back to life.
However, there were also some drawbacks. While the built-in speakers are decent, they might not be powerful enough for larger gatherings or more demanding music enthusiasts. Additionally, I noticed that the turntable can be a bit sensitive, so you'll need to handle it gently to avoid damaging your vinyl records.
Overall, I've had a mostly positive experience with the Digitnow! Turntable Record Player. Its stylish design, ease of use, and good sound quality make it a great choice for anyone looking to enjoy their vinyl collection in a modern way.

When I first got my hands on the Audio-Technica AT-LP60XBT-SV Bluetooth Stereo Turntable, I was excited to bring back the vinyl vibes of old. As someone who enjoys collecting and listening to records, this little device quickly became my go-to for its easy setup and great sound quality.
One of the main features that stood out for me is its automatic play feature. With just a touch of a button, the turntable starts playing your favorite vinyls without needing any manual adjustments or advanced setup. It's perfect for those who want the convenience of modern technology while still enjoying the nostalgic sound of analog music.
The Bluetooth connectivity also added a lot of functionality to my listening experience. I could easily pair the turntable with my wireless speakers or headphones, allowing me to enjoy my vinyl collection from anywhere in the room. Plus, the included CSR BT chipset ensured that the connection was stable and didn't drop out unexpectedly.
However, there were a few drawbacks that I encountered with this turntable. Firstly, the build quality felt a tad flimsy, especially when compared to other models in the same price range. Additionally, although the sound quality was decent overall, it wasn't quite up to par with some of the more premium options on the market.
In summary, if you're looking for a beginner-friendly turntable that offers great convenience and easy setup, the Audio-Technica AT-LP60XBT-SV is definitely worth considering. While its build quality and sound performance are not top-notch, it provides excellent value for the price and will surely bring back those retro vinyl vibes you've been craving.

I recently got my hands on the Digitnow Bluetooth Record Player Turntable, a multifunctional device that plays vinyl records, tapes, CDs, and even connects to your smartphone via Bluetooth. I was excited to give it a try, as I've been collecting vinyls for a while now and wanted a convenient way to listen to them.
Right out of the box, the turntable was easy to set up. Its compact size makes it perfect for any living space, and it comes with a built-in speaker that provides decent sound quality. The ability to convert vinyl records into MP3 files directly is a lifesaver for music enthusiasts like me who want to share their favorite tunes without fumbling with extra devices.
However, not everything was perfect. The build quality of the turntable wasn't as high as I'd hoped, which led to some durability issues. Additionally, the sound level could be louder for a more immersive listening experience, especially when using the Bluetooth feature.
All in all, the Digitnow Bluetooth Record Player Turntable is a solid choice for those looking to play and share their vinyl records and other media formats. While it has some room for improvement in the build and sound department, its convenient features make it worth considering for any music lover's collection.

In the realm of vinyl enthusiasts, the Dual CS 329 Fully Automatic Turntable reigns supreme as a beginner-friendly choice offering high-quality audio playback. This sophisticated but user-friendly device is a plug-and-play marvel that comes pre-assembled and fully ready to use. Its unique automated functions, such as the versatile tonearm that lowers, swivels, and raises at the press of a button, make it a breeze to operate. Moreover, its factory-fixed settings ensure optimal performance right out of the box.
The plinth boasts an integrated elastomer vibration absorber, providing enhanced stability, accompanied by a removable dust cover that protects the device. The meticulously crafted aluminium die-cast platter and heavy rubber mat effectively dampen unwanted resonance, resulting in exceptional sound clarity. In addition, the drive's rubber mountings eliminate vibrations, while the precision-cut belt aids in minimising wow and flutter.
My personal experience using the Dual CS 329 has been nothing short of awe-inspiring. Each vinyl listening session is now elevated due to its superior sound quality, making this turntable a worthwhile investment. While it may lack some of the advanced features of higher-end models, its ease of use and setup more than make up for it.
However, one minor drawback lies in its lack of customisability. For those seeking to fine-tune their listening experience, the fixed settings might be somewhat limiting. Nevertheless, for the casual vinyl collector or someone new to analogue playback, the Dual CS 329 is an absolute gem.
In conclusion, the Dual CS 329 Fully Automatic Turntable strikes a perfect balance between user-friendliness and superb sound quality. It's my go-to recommendation for those looking to explore the world of vinyl or simply enjoy a hassle-free and enriching listening experience.

2024.05.19 07:18 proteenator The secret to not losing a lot of money is is to not re-fund your brokerage account

So this is how the story of most regards here goes - Put in some money - Get some ape first timer luck gains and try and replicate it for the next trade. Fail spectacularly but keep trying - End up losing most of your capital. Complain that you cannot afford any more SPY calls and REFILL your account.
See THATS your problem. Don't refill. If you're really good (and/or getting better as your ape brain is telling you), you should be able to convert $1 to $2. $2 to $4. $4 to $8 - You get the drift. You were dumb enough to lose the first 10k you put in. Now that additional 10k that you refilled is not giving you additional brains. Go and play with the leftover $3.5 and earn your way back up. And if you can't then thank me that your all time loss is just a fraction of your net worth as opposed to your entire net worth + all your + your wife's + your wife's boyfriends maxed out credit cards.

2024.05.19 07:11 InternationalRow3133 Buying A House

This is kinda weird but I’m a young guy entering my junior year of college. I go to school on a scholarship which pays for my school for full, and gives me a stipend roughly around $29,000 a year(Which I will receive this year and next). I have no other expenses as I go to a military school and everything from food to room and board is covered in tuition. I have guaranteed job after college that I’m contracted to work two years for, in cybersecurity.
As of right now I’ve never even owned a credit card and have zero credit, but I was looking to build my credit before I graduated. I was talking to my mother about this and she told me that the best way to build credit is to own a house. She explained to me that she would be willing to rent out the house and live in it(As my father is military and they’re renters), and that I would just buy the house with a down payment from my stipend and use the rent to pay the mortgage. I’m not entirely sure how this would work and even if it’s a good idea, as I do want to own several homes to rent out in the future. And thoughts would be great thank you.

2024.05.19 07:10 jaymz023 Should I cancel/close the credit cards I don't use anymore?

Over the years, I've gotten credit cards that give me good rewards/cash-back for different categories but now a lot of them overlap. I have never missed a credit card payment so that is not an issue, it's just that I have credit cards I don't need to use anymore.
I called one of the credit card companies to cancel and they said I have over 10 years worth of credit history tied to the card and if I cancel my credit score will go down due to removing this. How true is this?
I do need my credit score as high as possible as I may be renewing my mortgage in about 2 years and we may be switching.

2024.05.19 07:08 seekingsnow_2005 I think I have chosen a wrong laptop

I will be going to college this year so I was searching for a productivity in 50-55 k price range and found asus vivobook was a good laptop. Found a good deal offline in chandni with ryzen 7 5800h and 16gb ram + integrated graphics under 48 k and I was also getting a laptop bag . Online the price was above 57k so it was the best deal I was getting in the price range .
Few days Ago amazon summer sale was going on and there was a i5 asus vivobook which was there for 48k same price and with credit card discount it would be 43k. But my father doesn't use credit card as he was once scammed so I told him we better buy it offline and he agreed . So yesterday I went with my father to buy it and at that moment he asked him if there was a laptop in 40-41 and there was a hp and dell i3 ig but I was u series. I told him performance was not better and better to buy the ryzen 7 and it was h series also but he told me to buy the u one only . So my father asked him how much would the series processor in hp cost and he said there is a hp victus gaming laptop and I did not want to buy that as it would hv A low battery life and I have heard several cases of hp hinge breaking and other issues . My father told me to finalize it as He was a hp fan and he believed asus was a bad laptop . I said him to give me 30 mjn to think abt it and the shop owner was also making us hurry so he didn't even give me time to compare the specs properly and it was finalized within 4 min .
After coming home when I compared the specs and saw the reviews asus seemed better and . Hp one had 8gb ram + people said it had heating issues and it was double the weight of the asus one whereas asus had ryzen 7 and 16 gb ram + It had ms office 21 for completely free + it had a premium feel too and both were of the same price and people were saying the graphics difference was also slight in both of these. So now I am a bit sad that I should have chosen the asus one. I do not regret it as even asus he gave me the best he could and many people do not get that even . So was it a good decision and will it last long like 5 years ? And if you use any of these 2 please give a review .

2024.05.19 07:04 Ok_Start1379 Do you think therapy can help me (27F) and my (ex)fiancé (28M) repair our relationship?

My (ex)fiancé and I had been together for almost 6.5 years, engaged for almost 2.5. Over the last several months, my (ex)fiancé has sat me down to talk about our relationship about once a month. Before these conversations, he would shut down and barely speak to me for several days even when I would ask what was wrong. Then he would finally tell me he was ready to have a conversation and would express his frustrations with the relationship. By the time of our conversations, I would already be on the defensive from his recent behavior. I also generally do not receive feedback well. When he would try to tell me that he was unhappy in our relationship because I didn't compliment him enough, flirt with him enough, or tell him I loved him enough, I would shut down. I was not able to hear what he was really trying to tell me. Instead, I put up a wall and told him to love me for who I am. I basically asked him "If I'm happy in our relationship despite my frustrations, why can't you be?" I now realize that is not an appropriate or healthy response when your partner is trying to communicate with you.
I did try to hear him. I gifted him some lingerie for the first time and let him take a boudoir photo shoot of me wearing it. I started sending a few more cute messages. I tried to make more time to cuddle with him when he would ask. I tried to give him more hugs. I tried to thank him more for picking up around the house. I wrote him a cute letter and surprised him with a few gifts for Easter. However, about a month ago, we had another one of those conversations. Except this time the first things he brought up were 'wondering what else is out there' and talking about how other girls are always complimenting him. Again came the walls and extra defensiveness. I ended up writing him a letter talking about how I didn't know if I could ever be what he wanted me to be and that maybe he should think about calling things off. This was obviously a defense mechanism to try to beat him to the punch line and talk about a self-fulfilling prophecy. Three weeks later he would sit me down and tell me he wanted to know what else was out there again and that he didn't know if he could go through with marrying me. My efforts did not feel like enough for him and I understand why. I was having a hard time connecting my emotions with my actions which made my actions seem reactionary and not genuine or provoked by love.
I have been through a lot more trauma in my life than I realized. My dad was in the Navy while I was growing up. We had to move every three years. A very pivotal point in my life was when we moved when I was in the 6th grade. I lived right next door to my best friend. I was finding my love for math and theater. I also played soccer and was a Girl Scout. When we moved, I became very depressed, though I didn't understand that's what it was at the time. I stopped all of my extracurricular activities. I stopped getting too close to people because I knew I would have to move or they would have to move eventually. I mostly stayed in my room and kept to myself, even from my family. I also have struggled with anxiety for as long as I can remember. Then, in my senior year of high school, I got my first-ever boyfriend. We were in a relationship for over 4 years. In that relationship, I would always be the one to try to talk about our problems. I would be the one who would always want longer hugs and more cuddles. But it was not a healthy relationship. We broke up and got back together many times. I found several illicit texts to other girls on multiple occasions and he would always gaslight me by saying his younger brother stole his phone or I misinterpreted the messages. I think this caused me not to want to show my emotions because it wasn't reciprocated and resulted in heartache. Then, three years ago my younger brother died in a tragic car accident at the age of 17.
When I realized I could lose the love of my life, I realized that he was right about me not being affectionate enough. I had built up walls to protect myself. I thought I had made progress on my anxiety and depression, but I realized I was wrong. I also realized that I have issues with communication, trust, and vulnerability. I was a great partner in other ways and I did express my love in other ways. I moved across the country, coast to coast, with him to a state where I didn't know anyone so that he could attend his dream school. I take care of the household. I get the majority of the groceries. I do all of the cooking. I do all of the maintenance cleaning. I take care of our 2 cats and 1 dog. I say all of those in the present tense because we currently still live together but are sleeping in separate rooms. I also financially supported him by lending him money and letting him pay less of the rent because I made more money. I accept all of him including that he has terrible time management skills, he can have a hard time controlling his emotions at times, and he is disorganized and messy. I also accepted that I would have to wait for marriage and children because of his school and accepted that he did not have a lot of free time between school, work, and his hobbies. I supported his love for his hobbies by accepting his purchasing of expensive equipment even when he owed me money, traveling to watch several events that were important to him, and traveling to see him win an award from his job. I would write heartfelt cards for every holiday. I also bought him dozens of children's books about love that I wanted us to read to our children one day.
When I realized I could lose him, I felt something change inside me. It was like I could feel a hole being blown in the wall I had built up. I felt all my love for him overwhelm me. I couldn't hug him, kiss him, or tell him I love him enough. I tried to talk to him to apologize for my behavior and how badly I'd hurt him. I tried to explain how I felt like a different person and how I really wanted to work hard on improving myself as a partner to make our relationship work. I tried to prove my words with actions. I wrote a list of things I needed to work on including communication and being more affectionate. I also wrote out a list of ways to work on those things and actually started doing the things on the list. Some of the items I had already begun to do like hug and kiss him more and tell him I love him more. I also tried to ask more questions about his interests/hobbies/day. I was more vulnerable and talked with him about my feelings more. I even initiated intimacy, something I had really only done once in a blue moon when I was intoxicated. I also set up my individual therapy sessions.
Despite all of my efforts, over the next two weeks, he continued to say he did not know if he could be with me and wanted to know what else was out there. He was very wavering and said multiple times "I don't know what the right decision is." He said he could not trust that my changes would last and that it was probably too late. I begged him to try couples therapy, but he refused and said "Therapy takes too long" and basically said it wasn't worth the time. He finally broke up with me after 2 weeks of going back and forth and I was devastated. He later talked to a mutual friend of ours and changed his mind about therapy. I was so happy to hear that he had changed his mind. However, now I feel like I can't even trust him anymore. He's turning into a person I don't recognize and I don't know what he's capable of anymore. I don't know if the man I love still exists. When he told me he was now agreeable to try therapy he said "We're still broken up, but I won't talk to any other girls." and then promptly said "And it will give me more time to find a place to live if things don't work out." He deleted several Instagram posts that had photos of me after he agreed to try therapy which makes me think he's not actually that open to healing our relationship. He complained to me about how he might have to take out student loans after I told him he needed to pay me for half of the rent while we're broken up and not decreased rate he had been paying me. He also "checked on me" on the night of the 3rd year anniversary of my brother's death when he heard me crying. Then he just sat on the end of the bed scrolling his phone while I cried as if he was checking on me because he felt like he had to and not because he wanted to. When I asked him if he had some sort of deadline in mind for the therapy, because he had previously mentioned that it takes too long, he said July or August and I have a suspicion that is because a girl he likes is leaving for summer break but will be back at the end of August for the next semester.
I just feel like the way he has been acting is not how you act towards someone you were in a relationship with for almost 6.5 years. Especially after saying you still love them and have no negative feelings towards them. That means even though you don't think you are a good relationship match, you should still want to treat them with respect. You should care that they are hurting during this time. You should want to comfort them in their grief of a separate event. You should mean it if you say you want to try therapy.
TL; DR : Do you think therapy will help?

2024.05.19 07:00 Busy-Veterinarian896 Sport-L vs Sport Touring Sound System?

I'm in the market for my first car purchase. I've been driving my 2012 Nissan Cube since I was seventeen years old and am going to be getting enough money in the upcoming months to put a heft down payment on a new car. I want to get a CRV hybrid, because I want this car to last me another 10 years before I need to buy one. Hopefully, by the time I need to pay to replace the battery or get a new car, I'll be well enough into my career to have a stable income and a better credit score lol.
Looking at the price of a Sport-L vs a Sport-Touring, it's hard for me to justify NOT getting the touring. It's only a few 1000 more.
For those of you who have driven both or have one of them, how do you feel about the sound system? That's the main thing that is keeping me in the ST camp instead of the Sport-Ls. My current car can't play any music from my phone anymore, so I know I'll be happy regardless, but I just want to know how big of a difference it is, and whether you all think it's worth it.
I'm trying to avoid doing a lot of test-drives. I've driven CRVs in the past because I have friends with them (gas versions though) and I've got bad enough social anxiety that I want to avoid it. I'd rather just test drive once, then get the car and be on my way.

Hello! I just bought a tpg zone 10 monthly pass and I received an email of my receipt. I also have a physical Swiss pass card that I received in the mail, which I believe I used to purchase the tpg pass online. When I use the tpg system do I have to buy tickets by scanning my Swiss pass card? Or do I present my Swiss pass card to fare checkers? I’m just not sure how I can prove that I actually bought the monthly pass. Should it be showing up on my SBB or tpg app? Thank you!

TL;DR : So should I break up with my ex-fiancé or should I keep fighting to get back the man I love?
