2024.05.18 22:20 imperator-maximus Finally Here: End-User UI for Building Your Own AI Image Editing Application!

Hello ComfyUI users,
I am excited to pre-announce an amazing new UI that lets you build your own AI image editing application. It looks similar to Photoshop on desktop and Procreate on iPad. Featuring a fully open architecture including an UI builder which is not limited to any workflows—add as many as you want with your own custom UI.
Key Features:
* Pre-built Tools: Includes 3D, Pose (hundreds of poses, Mixamo animation support), Sketch, Shapes, Brushes, Multi-Layer management, Masking, iPad version, Photoshop plugin, and much more. Connect these to any ComfyUI workflow as you want.
* Fully Free standalone for local usage. This is not a cloud service - it will be installed as an ComfyUI extension.
* More than 1,5 years of hard development with a little team.
* Support of image and 3D content but animations are not main focus at the moment
* Transform a simple ComfyUI workflow into our primary image editing application in under a minute using intuitive UI tools such as a form editor, mappings, and rules editor. For more complex workflows, the integration process takes less than 30 minutes, ensuring a smooth and efficient transition.
We are looking for advanced ComfyUI users and node developers with good GPUs to join our pre-testing team before we launch a polished version soon. We need to develop some image editing workflows. So for example SDXL already works fine in all variations but we have trouble to get it running with old SD 1.5 because of ComfyUI limitations. So some development might be needed here.
How to Join:
DM Me: Send a direct message with your credentials and examples of your work plus how to find you on Discord.
Be the first to explore and shape the future of AI image editing. Let’s push the boundaries of creativity together!
Thank you

2024.05.18 18:08 Realistic-Door-1875 Please help a newbie 😩

I have experience using Lightroom and photoshop but have never used illustrator before. I have access to a desktop pc but for drawing I prefer to use my iPad Pro and Apple Pencil to have more control. I bought adobe illustrator for iPad and used an a4 size RGB canvas to draw with. I used a paint brush to create a basic path black outline of svgs I want to create. When I tried to export as a psd file at 300ppi so I could finish off and add colour to the drawing in photoshop, it would not let me. I had a warning message pop up saying “export settings exceed supported image limit, try a lower size or resolution”. I managed to finally export at 150ppi but I don’t want this to affect the quality of my image. Is there any way around this?
I do plan on buying adobe illustrator for desktop when I get paid but ideally I would like to draw the outline by hand on my iPad and then export it onto the desktop to add colour. How can I do this and what size canvas would you recommend using for svgs I would possibly like to eventually sell? Thanks ☺️

2024.05.16 19:33 araless Every Tool Is a Lasso

Heartbroken to learn that Toonboom has the same irritating bug as Photoshop.
Illustrating takes a lot of pen strokes and undoing those pen strokes. And Photoshop consistently ruins my flow and teaches me of the infinite patience that resides within us all when control+z turns my brush into a lasso and instead of drawing a new stroke I've now selected and potentially moved my existing strokes.
And Toonboom has the same damn function. Half the time I'm selecting my pen strokes rather than drawing a new one if I use control+z. To compound this situation, my Huion tablet won't allow me to switch back to pen or any other tool, it remains a lasso no matter what I press, until I use my mouse.
Does anyone know if this is a function I can turn off (unlike Photoshop)? Or am I just going to be unable to maintain a flow state?

2024.05.16 04:45 Creative_Mammoth6034 Brush and Clone Tool Rotations (incl shortcuts)

Hello Ivan, can you please add a rotate for brushes and clone stamp tool. It's been in Photoshop forever and I only changed over not long ago to Photopea..i find it a a huge necessity..sometimes trying to copy a part of an image to the other side and being able to rotate it as well (using shortcuts) as well as FLIP IT horizontally or vertically. Heres a YT video what I mean https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rrNgJZkUd9M Could you please look at implementing this? I just assumed it was there as you brought across a substantial amount of the same features from Photoshop, which is totally awesome. Thank you. If there is a shortcut I can't find it but it needs to have a shortcut so that the brush no the end of the stamp tool can be rotated as you hold the brush over image, to align it and shrink or enlarge it. Cheers,
Rob.

2024.05.15 23:47 KihuBlue Palm Rejection/Touch input broken with newest driver.

Ever since the last driver update came out, my touch recognition is off the charts. Palm rejection doesn't work at all, and the sensitivity of the touch input causes basic gestures (such as two fingers to rotate or zoom) to jitter aggressively. I have been unable to use touch at all since the last driver update and have had to keep it turned off entirely.
Additionally, the distinction between touch input and tablet pen input no longer exists. I use photoshop (newest version) and before this driver have NEVER been able to use the brush tool by dragging across the canvas with my finger. However with this new update, touch input registers the same as pen input, meaning any of those accidental registrations that happen when the palm rejection isn't working log as brush strokes, selections, or otherwise utilizing the selected tool.
Specs: windows 11, cintiq pro 16 - DTH-1620, Windows Driver 6.4.6-1 (most recent driver)
Additionally, I've noticed that every time a new driver comes out my previous tablet driver that WAS working fine *mysteriously stops working* - does Wacom break existing drivers to force users to update to the newest driver or what? It's been this way for me for years: My tablet acts funny or stops working, and low and behold, that day a new driver was released but hasn't been installed yet. This said, that's why I haven't and cannot roll back to previous drivers - they break and force me to update.

2024.05.15 18:53 tarkansarim Denoising brush?

I had a cool idea where you have let’s say in a painting app like Photoshop or Krita a magic brush that applies a denoising mask at the spot you are painting. For example you are roughly painting an apple and then you use the magic denoising brush and make a brush stroke and based on the pressure it applies heavier denoising and the AI is refining the spot using a stable diffusion model of your choice. And there is a time window while it's sampling going down the steps where if you apply brush strokes consecutively it’s adding the brush strokes together to increase the denoising strength. This way you can see if the applied brush stroke is changing enough and if not while it's solving you just do a few more brush strokes to increase the strength of the change. Sounds more intuitive than first paining a mask and clicking generate. I guess this is just recently possible with the arrival of “Differential Diffusion” that allows arbitrary grayscale values for inpainting noise masks. This could make the inpainting process more streamlined with painting.

2024.05.15 12:59 Vast_Impression2551 Exploring the Dynamic World of Graphic Design: Trends, Tools, and Techniques

Graphic design, a field blending creativity and technology, has evolved significantly in recent years. It encompasses various forms of visual communication, from digital and print media to web and multimedia design. Whether you're a budding designer or an experienced professional looking to stay current, understanding the latest trends, tools, and techniques is essential. This blog explores the dynamic world of graphic design, highlighting key aspects that define this ever-changing industry.

Emerging Trends in Graphic Design

  1. Minimalism and Simplicity: Less is more. This trend emphasizes clean, simple designs that communicate messages effectively without unnecessary clutter. Minimalism focuses on essential elements, using whitespace strategically to create a balanced and engaging composition.
  2. Bold Typography: Typography is no longer just about readability; it's a powerful visual element. Designers are experimenting with oversized, bold fonts that grab attention and convey strong messages. Custom typefaces and hand-drawn lettering are also gaining popularity.
  3. 3D Design and Realism: With advancements in software, 3D design has become more accessible. This trend includes hyper-realistic textures and elements that add depth and dimension to designs, creating immersive visual experiences.
  4. Sustainability and Eco-friendly Design: As awareness of environmental issues grows, sustainable design practices are becoming more prevalent. This involves using eco-friendly materials, promoting digital over print media, and creating designs that advocate for environmental responsibility.
  5. Animated and Interactive Design: Motion graphics and interactive elements are increasingly used to engage audiences. From subtle animations on websites to full-fledged video graphics, motion adds a dynamic layer to static designs.

Essential Tools for Graphic Designers

  1. Adobe Creative Suite: A staple in the graphic design world, this suite includes Photoshop for photo editing, Illustrator for vector graphics, InDesign for layout design, and more. It offers a comprehensive set of tools for various design needs.
  2. Figma: Known for its collaborative features, Figma is a web-based design tool that allows multiple designers to work on the same project simultaneously. It's particularly popular for UI/UX design.
  3. Canva: For those who need to create quick and professional-looking designs, Canva offers an intuitive interface with numerous templates and design elements. It's ideal for social media graphics, presentations, and marketing materials.
  4. Procreate: This digital painting app for iPad is beloved by illustrators and designers for its natural drawing experience and extensive brush library. It's perfect for creating detailed artwork and illustrations.
  5. Affinity Designer: An affordable alternative to Adobe Illustrator, Affinity Designer provides robust vector graphic design tools. It's suitable for both professional and amateur designers.

Key Techniques for Effective Graphic Design

  1. Understanding Color Theory: Color is a crucial aspect of design that affects mood, perception, and behavior. Familiarize yourself with the color wheel, complementary colors, and the psychological impacts of different hues.
  2. Mastering Composition and Layout: The arrangement of elements within a design is vital for clarity and aesthetic appeal. Techniques such as the rule of thirds, grid systems, and alignment help create balanced and visually pleasing compositions.
  3. Typography Skills: Beyond selecting fonts, understanding kerning, leading, and tracking is essential. Typography should enhance readability while complementing the overall design aesthetic.
  4. Effective Use of Imagery: High-quality images can elevate a design. Learn to select or create images that support your message and maintain consistency in style and tone.
  5. Feedback and Iteration: Design is an iterative process. Seek feedback from peers and clients, and be prepared to revise your work. Iteration helps refine designs and ensures they meet the intended goals.

Conclusion

The world of graphic design is both challenging and rewarding, offering endless opportunities for creativity and innovation. By staying informed about trends, mastering essential tools, and honing your techniques, you can create impactful designs that resonate with audiences. Whether you're designing for digital platforms or traditional media, the principles of effective graphic design remain constant: clarity, creativity, and communication. Keep exploring and experimenting to push the boundaries of what's possible in graphic design.

Doesn't work when tapping pen or brushing lightly.
Has anybody experienced this problem?
The sensitivity works. But if I want to tap or brush really light, it doesn't show up. I have several other type of wacom tablet and they works really well.
Tried connecting to different computers, still the same. I have installed the newest driver and also tried some old drivers, but no luck. Replacing the nibs doesn't work either.
I think it's not a Photoshop problem, since it behaves the same outside the app.
Would really appreciate the help.
Thanks!

2024.05.14 06:00 rahulmo_d Is there a way to reduce the size of a pasted brush mask after pasting it from one image to another?

Using Mac OS. Version 7.2
Maybe this would be easier on photoshop but I’m not exactly sure how to go about that either.
I literally shaved a word onto someone’s chest for a photo shoot, but I use the brush mask to fix and emphasize the words on his chest in one image and it came out great. That image was a close-up shot of the chest.
Now there’s more zoomed out images where I want to use the exact same writing or brush strokes so there’s consistency.
When I try to copy and paste the brush mask, it just takes up the whole image in the zoomed out photos.
I was thinking about just cutting out the portion of his chest and pasting it and blending it onto other images but it’s tricky with light and the borders of the pasted image. Any ideas?
Thank you!

2024.05.13 19:33 Vlado1817 Advice needed for a power efficient build

HI .. for traveling reasons I ended up working with apple laptops ..(so I had like 5 -6 years away for pc world) now Im back to a desktop and need to build a pc but I live in country where electricity is not cheap .very. I'll be using this pc would for : learning modeling ( moving polygons , z brush .. painting with photoshop and other apps .. texturing .. ) and mild gaming
for what I understand the majority of those tasks are single thread single core or not heavy multithreaded. So Im looking to an i5 13gen ( 13600k or 13500 ?)
also I heard that z motherboards ( z690-790) are those you can tweak power limits and such
or just built something with an non ''k'' cpu ? what you think ? advice/suggestions are welcome :)
what ram ?
gpu: is not an issue coz I have only 3 options 3080,4070,.3070 :P)
psu: I have a corsair 750w gold plus.
thanks in advance
ps: pleas feel free to comment .. at first I thought to go with an non k like an i5 13500. but I read that you can't tweak it a lot and I just keep finding ''TDP'' but ahh that ''idea'' seems to have different concept from and to intel.

I randomly started having shoelace strokes out of nowhere and I only have this issue in photoshop and not in other softwares
Basically everything is in the title, I was painting and then for some reason I started having shoelace artifacts at the end of my brush strokes. I tried using paint.net to check if it was photoshop or my tablet but apparently it's photoshop. Does anyone know how to fix it ?
