As a 40k player, since 10th hit Ive been reduced to playing 1k points games because that's what I can afford to safely transport and play now. The game has got way too hordy, with even space marine players fielding 60-80 models per battle. I do play horde armies (I mean, Im a skaven fan) but Ive allways thought it was enough with 100 model-ish to fulfill that goal. Now, GW tells me it isn't, and I'm just not able to go to the new 200 models limit GW wants to put on hordier armies.
Then I see AoS. For what Ive been told, theres 1200 points on the starter box... on each side. Not in total. Each side. I see the demos to promote the game, and seems like not only the points haven't shrieked, but they may have gone up.
Then I see the rules are way more flavorful on the rats than TOW ones. The underdog mecanic. Spearhead being its own thing, and much better than Combat Patrol. Games being quick af. The new minis.

That and cooler narrative rules that Im able to even play against matched players without that much need to find narrative groups (those are sometimes hard to find). I love narrative.

I took a quick trip to the gas station for drinks and now I'm waiting for a tow. It won't start, I tried jumping it and it just clicked. The electric locks also stopped working. The tow truck driver asked if it can be put into neutral and it wouldn't budge. My dad thinks these things could all be related.
I don't have enough to bring it to a mechanic to run diagnostics. Any idea where I can start?
Off the top of my head I'm thinking battery, alternator, starter, but is there anything I'm missing?

- sports car = SO's car, and used 1-2x a week

- BUT, worried that it will be hard to pull the car in-out of the bump out without drive over grass due to the angle and the fact that the truck will always be parked in the main spot to the right of it.

- completely opens up the parking situation
- more space for guests
- easy to pull-out & park any car with 0 issues.
- $1.5k+ more expensive
What do we do?
At first, i was set on option 1, as it solved the main problem... but if in order to park a car in that bump-out, you have to essentially drive into the grass to get it around the truck, then should we just do the full extension so we dont regret it? originally, we wanted the full extension until we got sticker shock of $6k+ from other companies.Other things to consider for advice:
- how WIDE should it be? I am planning 8ft to match our current driveway lane(s), which measure at 8ft for both 2 lanes.

2017 Chevrolet Trax.
I rear-ended another car when I was going under 10mph (🫤🙁). My car got stuck on his trailer hitch type thing and a tow truck had to come and literally pry my car off. The A/C was running for a good 30 minutes post accident but when they finally got us separated my A/C was out. He said it was a cracked condenser. I drove the 10 miles home with no A/C (which is basically a death sentence in Florida). A few hours later I went to the store and a couple miles into the trip turned my A/C on and it was blowing cold air!..but since then nada, doesn’t even blow any air, which probably means it isn’t just the condenser right?
What’s a good estimate I should expect to have my AC fixed before I die of a heat stroke?

-When my cousin lived with us and he was really grumpy in the morning after waking up, and once he wouldn’t let go of my bookbag and when I tried taking it from him he punched me in my stomach. My mom just said I “shouldn’t have tried taking it from him”
-When I tried standing up to myself to my mother by telling her she cant treat me like a punching bag just because her and her boyfriend were fighting, and she proceeded to make a fist at me and gesture as if she was about to punch me and said “HE’S MY HUSBAND. IM MARRIED.”
-When my cousins would gang up on me and beat me up/hold me down and dry hump me and I told my parents and she just told me to “lock the doors” (they knew how to unlock them) and “stand up for myself”

2024.05.19 05:15 DambalaAyida My Mod List - Druid Playthrough
In case this is of any interest to anyone.
I'm 50 levels in to a Druid playthrough and it's been one the best times I've ever had in Skyrim. So I figured I'd list the mods I'm using for it and why--just the ones that give the feel and flavor, not graphic or combat overhauls or anything else.
Concept: A Druid, protector and defender of nature and the natural world. Not a fan of cities, less inclined to fire magic due to its destructive nature. Due to this I applied certain restrictions: no conjuring undead, no allying with Daedra, no missions that are rooted in harming the natural world (use the pilgrim to heal the Gildergreen, not Nettlebane, etc). For race, of course, I went with Bosmer, being a good thematic choice. For skills I focused largely on Archery, Conjuration (see below), Alchemy, One Handed, Restoration, and Alteration. I limited the use of Shouts to those that fit the build--Aura Whisper, Call Storm, Kyne's Peace, etc. I didn't tend to carry weapons much and used Bound Sword and Bound Bow quite a bit (along with a mod that made them green for that Druid look) until I could craft a dragonbone bow that outstripped damage on the bound bow dramatically. I started as a hunter in Live Another Life.
On to the mods!
1) Ordinator: the perk overhaul is one I love, and it gives some great perks for Druids. For example at Speech 50 you can take Speak With Animals, allowing you to tame and keep an animal follower. None of that 60 second racial ability foolishess.
2) Mannaz - Integrated Races of Skyrim: this overhaul improves racial abilities dramatically in a fair way. Check its description for more--worked well for my build and earned a permanent place in my mod list.
3) Freyr - Integrated Standing Stone Overhaul: Designed to work with Mannaz, it alters the way standing stones work to improve and alter racial abilities. Its synergy with Mannaz's Bosmer abilities really gave a great Druid vibe to the hawk-based powers and had me feeling like an ally of the natural world
4) Forgotten Magic Redone: While I also use Odin, Apocalypse, and Triumvirate, FMR gave some excellent Druid spells, such as Wolf Pack and Veil of Nature; these spells can level up! Wolf Pack was especially fun once I found a ring that allowed me to summon four wolves at once.
5) Wrath of Nature: Path of the Druid: What more can I say. Earning the ability to shape shift into a wolf, bear, tiger, or spriggan is about as Druidic as it gets. At higher levels I used it less and less, except for the wolf form, which runs at a high speed and meant I didn't need to bother with a horse.
6) DX Druid Armor: Honestly, I didn't find it overly sexualized like I thought it might be. In game it came across as just a great Druid look. It's also the reason I leveled up Smithing, as periodically I'd craft a new set for better stats as the game went along.
7) Song of the Green: Auri is a fantastic Druid follower. Recommended.
8) Anna's Druid Conjuration: If you're going to conjure, but no undead or Dremora, this is the mod you want. So good--summon elk, bears, wolves, spriggans, stags, etc.
9) Wintersun: being a follower of Kynareth just made complete sense, of course.
So how'd it all fit together?
A lot of fun. I use mods like Warzones to ensure Skyrim really is at war, and there was a special delight in charging into battle in Wolf or Spriggan form (Wrath of Nature) along with a conjured pack of wolves (FMR) and a bear (Ordinator's Speak with Animals perk) it really felt like nature was rising up and joining the fight. I used Survival Mode and Campfire for a while, and while I loved making camp and crafting, the stamina hit from needing rest got annoying after a while so I stopped. I did find Speak with Animals worked on the Chaurus, so for a while I had one in tow, and got to watch it be a pain in the ass for grounded dragons rather than for me.
Even with the extra abilities the game remained challenging (played on Master), but I had a lot to do--didn't even buy Breezehome until level 45, or visit High Hrothgar until the same time, but I did use the LC_BuildYourOwnNobleHouse mod to slowly build a town in the wilds of Falkreath, with my head canon being a Druid-lead back to nature community. Sadly you can't choose a god for the temple, but meh.
I've played a lot of builds, from two-hand, heavy armor warriors to sneaky thief/assassins to pure mages, but I had more fun with this Druid build than with any other. At this point I'm at 100 Alteration, Light Armor and One Handed, and mid 90s for Archery, around 70 for Conjuration and haven't yet hit that "hmm, what will my next build be..." phase.
If you're thinking of playing a Druid, I really think this mod list is a fantastic start to a really fun playthrough.

Hi. I've really been enjoying this game. Recently graduated from prestige tier 3 to their 4...and was hit by a fucking truck. Like, I don't care that the teams are twice as good as mine that just arrived on scene, whatever, what bothers me is that I can't recruit anymore. In tier 3, I could almost always get to the 5 top prospects that were revealed, and if I budgeted points carefully, I could get them to 90% interest and sign them. But now, I go to one prospect and a text only gets you 3% interest...I'm like, I can't afford hardly any of these guys.
So I budget carefully, focus on 7 guys ONLY. I manage to get them up to 80% each...
And then 4 of them fucking say no...
A couple said no twice...(After using carefully saved up game changer points)
So now I am going into the new year with only 3 recruits and the fucking year has been a waste.
So I'm fucking nerd raging man. Like, I don't want to waste my time in a game where I do everything meticulously correct, only to be rewarded with this bullshit rejection where I lose every time even though I have more than 80% odds.
Any one else struggle with this and power through?
