Finally sick of not having power down here in the Gulf Coast. Our house has this, which I imagine is a set-up for a generator.
I did some research, and walked away still clueless. I saw people recommending generators that were ~$1,000. But then the cheapest "whole home" generators at Home Depot were ~$4,000.

Let me start off saying I was not given any devices by nebula and this is not a paid promotion. I recently purchased both the Mars 3 Outdoor and the Cosmos 4K within the last 60 days. When deciding which one to go with I was having a difficult time finding unpaid honest reviews by this someone who purchased these devices. All the videos online were paid promotions which only had over the top outstanding reviews claiming these projectors has the best picture they have ever seen. Well, let me tell you guys my honest review about both projectors.
Nebula Mars 3 Outdoor I purchased this projector because 1. It was the newest product they released 2. Portability: able to use this projector anywhere. 3. It just looks cool.
Picture quality did not meet my standards. My 1080p tvs look far nicer than the picture on this projector. The Mars 3 picture quality just never looked cleared to me and found myself just not falling in love with it. Even with using my high end projector screen the picture was never clear. According to all the paid reviews I was expecting the picture quality to be out of this world. If you are wanting to buy a projector and hoping for a clear and amazing picture this one is not it.
Usability: The one thing I do love about this projector is how easy it is to use. You can point the mars to any wall and it will autofocus and size itself with just a click of a button. I found the interface very user friendly except for the Netflix app. The Netflix app on the mars 3 comes with a mobile version. Easy fix just connect a Roku or fire stick and use Netflix. If you just need a projector to take camping or to the beach this will work and you will be happy with it. If you want a home theater do not buy this one!!!!!!!!!!!!!! My focus was a home theater and now it’s my daughter projector for her cartoons. We do take it camping and love to be able to watch the big screen outside which I’m less critical about the image because it’s now just about the kids having fun.
Nebula cosmos 4K Love this projector! Beautiful picture and build quality. Right when I turned this on I can already see that it was 10x better than the Mars 3 outdoors. This looks like you’re watching a 100+ inch tv. My wife and I have been watching game of thrones on it and have never been so much into a tv show until watching it on this projector. However, to set your expectation this laser projector is not better picture than a 4k oled tv. So don’t have your expectations that high. The blacks on this projectors are sometimes a little difficult to make out compared to a oled. However, there are some scenes that are just so beautiful on this projector.
Issues: I do find that the Mars 3 was quicker on the interface and never really lagged. With the Cosmos 4K I do notice there are times that the tv lags for a few seconds before doing what I asked with the remote. FYI my internet speed WiFi is 1GB and my speed over WiFi test over 700mbs. I don’t think it’s an internet issue. The remote on the cosmos has issues with volume sometimes working and not working saying I need to connect it even though I’ve already don’t that 3x.
Would I buy again?
Mars 3 Outdoors: No I wouldn’t, only if it was strictly for on the go. However, even when I’m camping my trailer has power through a generator and power is always available for me when we are camping.
Cosmos 4K: absolutely Very happy with picture quality and also the ease of setting it up. Just plug in the cord and point to a wall just like the Mars 3. Auto correction makes both these projectors easy to use.
Before you buy either one of these projectors you can get a more traditional projector with better picture quality for less money. However, the portability and the easy set up will not be as nice as these Nebula projectors. I went with Nebula because I was planning on moving my projector from room to room. Do some research and make sure whatever projector you choose suits your needs.
