Hello everyone, i'm hoping you can give me some advice and your thoughts on this. So i graduated high school last year, and because of some things that happened in life and plans that have changed, i won't be going to college this year and probably any time in the foreseeable future. So now i need to work, and i would really want to work online as a virtual assistant. I've never had a job before, and at the moment I don't really have the right skill set that's needed to be a VA (like knowing certain software, call center experience, corporate/industry knowledge, etc). I do, however, know my way around computers (which is the bare minimum for a VA lol), and I've been searching all over the internet and Youtube trying my best to learn all those things (and it's really overwhelming).
So after doing some research, i've come to the conclusion that it's best that i apply to a VA agency, particularly ones that don't require work experience and ones that would provide free training. My main goal with these agencies is that I could get the training and build my skills as a VA. I don't really mind if the pay is low for now. As long as I get the training and experience that I need, then i could venture out and find my own clients in the future.
I've also read plenty of posts on here warning about these agencies and leaving so many negative reviews (cyberbacker gets the most hate lol). Honestly i'm just feeling confused and unsure of what to do and which agencies to apply to. I know so many people already asked on here which agencies are good for newbies, which ones accept applicants with no experience, which ones give free training, etc. But i would just like to ask again here. I know Cyberbacker does all of the above, but now i'm having second thoughts after reading all the negative reviews š„². But do you think it's still worth taking a shot for me at least?
Oh and do you also have any tips for the initial and final interviews?

For reference, this is happening in Texas. I received a call earlier today from the local PD. After confirming my name, the officer on the phone said "This is Officer ____. I'm calling in regards to a claim of (SA) made by a girl you know from (Local college). You're not in trouble, we just wanna hear your side of the story. I want to set up a time when we can speak to you about what happened. It might be a misunderstanding, or a case of two people reading the situation differently. Again, you're not in trouble. You don't have to come by today, just anytime you're free." I told him that I was at work, and I'd call him back as soon as I could make time to get over there. The whole thing seemed weirdly informal to me. I checked the active warrants list afterwards, and I don't see my name on there. Is this normal procedure for these kinds of things, or is the cop trying to lul me into a sense of flase security? How do these usually play out, and is it wise to give a statement? I never had sex with the girl. We only hung out once and that was a month ago.

When it comes to shipping in Bleach, many fans of the anime will make really good ships, and also not so good ones. Take the UraYoru (Urahara x Yoruichi) ship for example (which is the main focus for this reddit post). I think it's really good. And I'll explain that right now.
We know that Urahara and Yoruichi are childhood friends. They grew up together. Although we don't know much, we could possibly get some flash back scenes to their childhood in the upcoming TYBW anime adaptation, as Kubo has been working with Studio Pierrot to include anime exclusive scenes. So there's a chance we'll definitely get flash backs of Yoruichi and Urahara's childhood together, which would also make their ship seem more agreeable.
Looking at their personalities, they are very similar in nature. Both characters often have teasing attitudes, and both Kisuke and Yoruichi like to mess around when in a battle or are apart of some type of training as well. For example, Yoruichi in the TYBW arc when she was fighting Askin. She was flirting with him at the beginning of their fight. Kisuke also was a bit teasing towards Ichigo in a playful voice when he was helping Ichigo regain his shinigami powers after Rukia was taken by Byakuya and Renji back to the Soul Society.
But both characters do get serious when it is necessary, like when both Urahara and Yoruichi fought against Aizen alongside Isshin. Even without Isshin, they are both a great duo overall. For example, when they saved Ichigo, Orihime, and Chad from Ulquiorra and Yammy. They were very well in sync, easily dominating Yammy on the battlefield.
Moving on, their appearance and clothing are also similar, in the sense that they have complementary colours. Kisuke's hair is blonde (a type of yellow). Yoruichi's hair is purple. Kisuke's eyes are grey. Yoruichi's eyes are gold. Kisuke's clothing is green. Yoruichi's clothing is typically orange. See where I'm going with this?
But like I mentioned in my last post (which was unfortunately removed from the Bleach reddit community), many Bleach fans who ship Yoruichi with Soi-Fon say that after TYBW, Yoruichi isn't talking to kisuke, after he forced her to enter the Shunryū KokubyŠSenki form in their fight against Askin. Again... its not true, because in the Can't Fear Your Own World light novels, Yoruichi meets up with Kisuke un her cat form, at the end of the 3'rd volume, where, after they talk about if Hisagi should know the truth about the Soul King, Kisuke mentioned how he's no better than Mayuri Kurotsuchi. Yoruichi then said afterwards that she would always be their for Kisuke, and if he were to ever go rouge and rebel against the soul society, she'd kill him herself. That's just a summary of what they said.
And let's also not forget... IF Kubo decides to continue the manga and start the Hell arc, there's no way Yoruichi wouldn't be talking to Kisuke, because the one-shot hell chapter we got is set 12 years after the TYBW arc. So that would be more than enough time for them to reconnect and strengthen their bond.
Now, I'm not saying that Yoruichi and Kisuke are gonna be a definite couple in the future. But with all the points I've just mentioned, it's clear that Yoruichi wouldn't end up with Soi-Fon. As I clearly stated in my last post, Yoruichi doesn't have feelings for Soi-Fon, even if Soi-Fon has feelings for her. Yoruichi isn't a lesbian either, because she wouldn't have teased Ichigo, not would she have flirted with Askin. Yoruichi literally threw away her royalty and status to save Kisuke from being convicted of Aizen's crimes. Soi-Fon eventually hated Yoruichi for over 100 years, when she left Soi-Fon behind. And finally... Soi-Fon was a literal CHILD when she first met yoruichi, making the YoruSoi ship very weird (like I mentioned last time). So in conclusion, Yoruichi is a better fit for Kisuke.
Let me know if I had missed anything out that could further support the UraYoru ship. And if anyone disagrees with what I say, feel free to comment.

Ok I was speaking with a friend of mine about this today and things started to click, so I want to present my theory and hear peopleās thoughts because I am by no means an economist or politician or anything and I want to know if Iām way off base or not. In other words, I need advice on my theory on real estate taxes and how theyāre impacting current renters ratesā¦
This is purely speculative without supporting evidence.
So, Boston gets a huuuuge portion of the revenue through property taxes, and of that number a huuuuge portion comes from commercial businesses real estate. But in comes Covid telling people to work from home for āa while.ā Whatās a business to do? They donāt want to get rid of their properties because theyāll need them eventually, but theyāre so expensive. So itās time for plan B. Layoffs, yup. Downsizing, yeah. Closing completely, mhmm. All of these things are happening, and itās driving the cost of commercial real estate down, which in turn drives down the taxes earned from each property.
Meanwhile, Boston has been spending those taxes like crazy, and who could blame āem! They had a health crisis to manage, on top of all the other projects going on (looking at you mbta, you really botched that green line job huh palā¦).
So the money is going out faster than the taxed businesses can replenish it. Fast forward to today and Boston is in the red by a lot. Like a lot a lot, projected to be 1.4B deficit in five years. On top of that, the damage is done and people realize they donāt need to commute to work and they donāt want these offices, leaving the businesses holding the bag on what appears to be poor investments on paper. Last I checked businesses are far better at lobbying than individuals, are they about to pass the buck to residents? Whatās Mayor Wu to do?
Well, unsurprisingly taxes went up. Commercial real estate went up, as did residential taxes. On top of that, the values of these residential properties also went up, making those taxes more expensive.
Now Mayor Wu has filed legislation - not passed, just filed - to try and protect those residential property owners by allowing for a rather substantial tax exemptionā¦ if you live in the property you own. Ya know who doesnāt live in their own properties. The landlordsā¦ well, typically.
So, regardless of if Mayor Wuās legislation is passed, landlords are looking at a tax increase no matter what, and boooooy howdy they aināt gunna be the ones paying it, all you are. This is why you see landlords asking for substantial rent increases, getting shot down, then listing the place for even more. But it gets worse.
The deficit of taxes within Boston is so great, itās unlikely that property taxes for businesses or residents will ever go down anytime soon, only increase. So what are the landlords to do? Some will weather the storm, but I think a lot of them will sell, and I think Mayor Wu is hoping for this, but I foresee it backfiring. We arenāt talking about the major real estate owners property conglomerates selling, nor are we talking about the schools selling either, Iām talking about the yuppy rich white lady down on the cape that has a few rental properties and never takes care of them. Sheās selling. But to who? I think the hope is that potential home owners will buy these properties, incentivized by the tax exemptions, but this us where my skepticism comes from. Thereās absolutely noooo way thatās happening when their main bidding competitors are colleges, whose resources are practically unlimited, and real estate companies who have started renting by the room and not by the apartment. And if all else fails, just pull a seaport and buy, demo, build.
Letās review. Boston is in debt and itās only getting worse. Commercial real estate value is continuing to drop. Taxes on those properties are increasing but itās not enough to offset the spending like it used to. Businesses gunna shutter. Residential real estate is increasing in value. Taxes on those properties will be unmanageable for the run-o-the-mill homeowner. Wu is trying to keep home owners, so landlords get disproportionately taxed. Renters are left holding this very heavy bag. Oh yeah, those renters also have like absolutely zero protections against any of this.
Letās skip ahead a few more years and let the crazy conspiracy theorist in me run rampant: Taxes continue to go up for everyone, so a whole lotta businesses are gunna close (I mean, did you see what just happened to Tavern in the Square this week? Yeah, expect more of thatā¦), landlords keep raising their prices, tuition keeps climbing, unaffordable housing keeps getting built, thereās a mass exodus of businesses leaving Boston, and the businesses that do stay canāt pay theirā¦ no, they can, but they wonāt pay their employees a salary to live here. They just wonāt, and why should they? Itās ungodly expensive to live here and equally as atrocious to run a business here, youād have to live with your parents rent free for years on a Boston salary just to save enough for a competitive down payment for a home in the city, and forget about renting and savingā¦ your bossās argument is that they commute in from the cape everyday so why canāt you? Audible eye rollā¦ The schools love this, keep the poor out and only allow for the wealthiest students and their very rich papas and mamas to pay for everything, they look more prestigious than ever, meanwhile Iād wager that at least 1/10 of those students are here to party and get fucked up. Fucked up on what though? TITS literally just closed, liquor licenses are obscenely expensive, you can expect to see more Hecateās than Silhouetteās because the clientele will absolutely spend $100 to have some smoke rolling out of the glassā¦ The renters gotta make a quick buck and sell their pain killers from an injury the year prior, get kids hooked but they canāt afford anything, so they turn to tranq. Meanwhile those same renters, who are respectable hard working nurses and teachers and small business owners and all kinds of people who should NOT be in this situation, they all have their price jacked up AGAIN to mmm Iām thinking 3500/studio will be the going rate by now, and so these renters are forced to āmoveā but the question is how? Everyone wants a first, last, security, brokers, and a U-Haul, no one can afford to move, or save for that matter, so they have to leave the city. If theyāre lucky enough to have a place to go that is, otherwise everyone else is going to be turning methadone mile into a methadone marathon.

Hello everyone, I've been looking through this thread and see that a lot of people, myself include, struggle with health anxiety especially with rabies. Last year in Colombia I had a potential non bite exposure, I was in a restaurant outside by a running waterfall with a dog sat by our table. To get into the table you had to walk indoors through the restaurant and downstairs, so it was already very unlikely that this dog was a stray dog. My friends were feeding the dog and I fed the dog too but I didn't let go of the food quick enough and the dog's mouth went around my thumb. It left a small red mark from the tooth I could feel but my hand didn't feel wet. I wiped my hands right away and didn't touch the rest of my food. The red mark disappeared after 30 minutes so was likely just a pressure mark.
I didn't think anything of it until the next day where I noticed I had a small paper cut on my nail bed and then I began to panic that I've been exposed to rabies. The dog was behaving completely normally, was friendly, could move without wobbling, wasn't drooling and obviously could swallow. Still! I rang my travel insurance and they were concerned and recommend getting the booster shots. I already completed all three pre exposure shots just a little over a month prior.
It took me four days to get the first vaccine, due to there being a shortage and most clinics closed on the weekend. I got my first vaccine for free and went to another hospital 3 days later due to being in a different city for my second. They refused to give it to me 3 days later and insisted I should get it on day 7. So I did. The whole while I was terrified.
It's been over 400 days since I got both vaccines and I just want to assure everyone that I am alive and well! Rabies are so scary but as along as you are vaccinated before symptoms you will be fine. There are days where my health anxiety flares up when I'm ill out of fear the vaccine didn't work, but there was no reason it shouldn't work. So please refer this if you are worried! <3

I got my first vaccine for free and went to another hospital 3 days later due to being in a different city for my second. 2024.05.22 01:11 JoeZocktGames The game is fun, I really like it
I only have a few minor complaints but so far I enjoy it. I think the biggest motivation for me is the fact that we have a game similar to Cod but it won't be replaced within 12 months by a sequel, meaning camo grinds and all that stuff really has a purpose now. I never felt like the grind for camos in Call of Duty was worth the hassle, the game was a time limited event at best, soon to be replaced.
Not with XDefiant. I can take my time, work on stuff anf try things out without much FOMO.
My only issues so far are some abilities, the ultimate from the LibertƔd girl is ridiculous, 200% health and basically constant healing even wehn getting shot at is a but much, feel s very cheap getting killed that way even if you are technically 100% on point. You shouldn't need two or three people to get one kill.
The jump shotting is also a bit overtuned, I feel like a short delay between jumps could halp, I see people bouncing left and right like there is no tomorrow :D
The weapons feel good, although I feel like SMGS and LMGs are a bit obsolete, the ARs do everything as good and have more range and less recoil.
The maps for the mpst part are fine, but that crashed plane map sucks balls, like holy shit, this map so far really annoys me.

I just started working for a company and a lot of our staff members were not born in the United States. A part of our hiring requirements are to have certain vaccines. Because a lot of our staff is not from here, their records are in Spanish. I was told today that we need to have them verified & that they need to be in English.
I saw on Google that there are medical translators we could hire & I guess that could be an option? But even then, there would be a cost. And they wouldnāt be verified?
Our compliance manager suggested we have these people go to their primary care physician & have them re-issue a new vaccine record. This would require a doctors visit, which would cost the employee. We have all been with the company less than 60 days so our insurance has not even kicked in yet. When I mentioned the fact that they would have to pay, he said he understands the financial burden but we cannot give any exceptions.
Is there a free option somewhere?

 | I think most players find gunships quite frustrating because they are a gear-check enemy. There is a small pool of stratagems and weapons that are effective against them. If you brought one of those things, they are actually pretty trivial to deal with, if you didn't bring one of those things, they become a nightmare. No inbetween. submitted by TeaL3af to Helldivers [link] [comments] Hulks, tanks, even factory striders, feel fun and fair to fight against because they can be brought down by a wide range of weapons and stratagems, with some just being quicker / easier / safer than others. EG You can blast a hulk in the eye if you brought the correct support weapon, but if not you can always use teamwork to shred its back with primary weapons. My suggestion is basically this: Make the railgun effective against the gunships in general, but not as strong as the AC/AMAT weapons. Make the rear engines the āweak pointā we can attack with basically any weapon. The smaller rear engines are a much harder target to hit, even more so if the gunship is facing you due to the front engines and the big red light obscuring them. However, getting a decent number of hits there is very plausible, especially if teammates are distracting the gunship, it is turning around terrain, or you managed to get close to view it from underneath. what you see when shooting at a gunship even zoomed in it's a tricky shot Making the engines more fragile makes sense to me from a gameplay perspective (enemies being completely impervious to your loadout should be extremely rare, especially when you canāt just run away) and also an immersion perspective (a helicopter equivalent should be vulnerable to close range small arms fire).  | obviously, warning for major spoilers submitted by KitSpin to noita [link] [comments] first off: here is the completed progress chart! i haven't been able to find a progress chart online that contains all of the new spells and enemies, so here's mine all stitched together for your convenience. https://preview.redd.it/e9uql6j1ou1d1.png?width=3840&format=png&auto=webp&s=22bec15064eedfbf585c1638ef49b3219cbc36ac as you can see i haven't gotten the spell refresh mimic, but thanks to the bug where the left and right facing sentries count as 2 separate enemies i technically have 100% enemy progress (this does give the steam achievement). that's good enough for me. it'll spawn naturally one day, i dont need to waste hours opening chests in parallel worlds when i can open chests just as frequently by playing the game normally. like any god run i started by breaking the reroll machines. you get about 1000 free rerolls, so once i got all the perks i wanted i spent the last of the rerolls getting extra health perks, optimizing by only rolling if there are at least 5 perks to roll. i got to about 100 trillion health before i ran out of free rerolls, then by the end i had about 800 trillion health from picking up naturally spawned extra health perks. i also duped my perks to get more shields and lukki mutations for extra long legs (cessation makes perk duping much easier and safer) by the end of the game i had:

- If you want group cleanup with the dart, you usually go for the top path. Crossbow tends to be more about range and damage, so the middle path tends to be paired most with crossbow and sharpshooter. These changes are meant to allow crossbow to get through a pack of bloons easier to hit the high-health targets, and the sharpshooter crit increase allows the disparity between how quickly each crosspath actually triggers a crit to be more in-line.

- 2-0-4 Overdrive no longer gains a pierce bonus. 0-2-4 Overdrive remains unchanged

- This seems pretty tame at first until you realize that the more undead bloons a necromancer has in its graveyard, the faster it spawns them. The idea with this buff is that the top path would be buffing the actual undead bloons themselves, rather than having the wall of fire to cleanup.
- Banana Farm
- 0-2-3 Value of Bananas are increased by +25% -> +37.5%
- Changes to farm are usually pretty controversial, but there is no reason to ever go for an 0-2-3 farm, save for the fact it is SLIGHTLY cheaper. It makes you less money (2-0-3 makes $720 while 0-2-3 makes $700) and you benefit from the actual money-making less while building into it. This change would allow the 0-2-3 to make more money than the 2-0-3, while the 2-0-3 would still be popular early game due to the benefit you get while building into the marketplace.

Hello I turn to Reddit as I am getting a bit confused and donāt know where to turn to or how to proceed with this so if anyone can be kind enough to give me some advice/tips etc. anything helps š
I live in Texas and am trying to get started on getting full custody of my 4 year old daughter. There is not a pending case yet and I am not married to him. I think as it stands the custody is 50/50 and he is on child support. He currently owes $7,248.89 of current/retroactive. His last payment was on October 2023 for $20 and the payment before that was on May 2022 for $66.61. I only add this as reference that he really has not been there for her financially and physically. The last contact I had with him was in September 2022 where he sent me a message that him and his girlfriend were selling t-shirts and that he misses her but heās busy. The time before that it was on February 2021 where I asked him if he wanted to cooperate on her first birthday party and was left on read and he has pretty much cut contact since then. Needless to say he is absent and not active. The last time he physically saw her was in December 2020 and has not tried to reach out or ask about her etc since then. I would like to get full custody and terminate his rights. I am not sure if just getting an affidavit of voluntary relinquishment and having him sign and notarized would be enough to do that.
I am sure he is willing to sign but would like to avoid contact with him since it was an abusive relationship but obviously at this point I just need to get it done so I am willing to do anything.
I did read somewhere that Involuntary Termination is a thing. Would this be able to fall into the āThe parent abandoned or did not support the child and expressed no intent to return.ā category? or would I have to go to court for this? It seems a bit redundant since he will not fight for her but I will do what is necessary as my daughter does not need this. I also believe he might have a geographical restriction (not sure) and I would like to move since my current partner is getting a federal job somewhere out of Texas so obviously no matter what we are moving. I did try speaking with a free attorney since truthfully I cannot afford to get one atm but obviously if it is necessary I will. I have yet heard back from them and itās just eating me up that I should be doing something else and that Iām not well informed no matter how much I read up on it etc.

Hello, so I know there are a lot of these questions posited, and I've spent a lot of time lurking the sub and have gotten a lot of insight on the field and college-related topics.
My question is this - does the school I go to really matter? I know the general answer is no, field experience will time and time again be the indicator of what makes a good CM/PM.
I'm stuck between several schools, markedly Texas A&M and UT Arlington. I want to work in the industry for a while and then start something overseas where there is a wealth of opportunities for myself and a means to create them for others.
I know I'm definitely in my head about this and there are so many parameters missing for you all to base answers on, but my question is really about whether the prestige and network of A&M is worth moving and likely incurring student debt for a shot at "bigger" outfits. Thanks.
TL:DR Wondering whether to apply to TAMU for its network/prestige or UT Arlington for a more streamlined transfer and less headache while sacrificing the "college experience"
