2024.05.22 02:15 Ok-Department-5051 Proform Pro 2000 Speed Variation

Just got this previous model Proform treadmill for free cause the previous owner said the console was bad and belt wouldn’t turn on. I did a factory reset and got it to boot past the screen it was stuck on and belt to turn on but now I’m having this speed variation issue (see video). So far I have lubed the deck, adjusted belt tension, checked continuity everywhere I could think of including motor coils, wiring, etc., and made sure there were no bent pins or loose connections anywhere. Looks to me like the motor and power board are working fine but the signal generator may be failing which would mean buying a new console. Just wanted to see if there is anything else I should try before spending $500+ on a new console or parting it out.

2024.05.22 01:54 Specialist-Look-1365 2009 Mac Pro 4,1 - No boot (update)

2009 Mac Pro 4,1 - No boot (update)
A few days ago I wrote here about a problem with my Mac pro--I have some updates.
Hi everyone, I have a problem with a 4.1 Mac Pro and I can't get out of it. Sorry if I wrote a papyrus, but I'm describing everything in full so you can understand.
The computer is this: https://everymac.com/systems/apple/mac_pro/specs/mac-pro-eight-core-2.26-early-2009-nehalem-specs.html#macspecs1
I'm an avid geek (computer scientist by study, but by no means a professional) and decided to take home a Mac Pro to fix up so I could get it up and running to the maximum configuration possible.
I found one near where I live. The person who owns it says he has three, but this one despite turning on regularly does not show anything on the screen. The first thing I came up with is the failed GT120, easy to replace and available for a few tens of euros. I have a few tests done with video (not live) before buying it, everything seems to be regular via DIAG led, just can't see anything. We meet halfway and I take it home. Nothing is known about this Mac, it should be exactly as it came out of the factory. The only thing is a PCI card with eSATA ports installed and expanded RAM.
I open it, and I put my hands in my hair. I have never seen a computer in such a hygienic condition. Despite the fact that in the photos and videos it was at home under a desk, it looked as if it had been in a shed full of dust (on the outside everything was fine). Layers upon layers of dust on everything. Before starting it I decide to take it completely apart and clean every nook and cranny. I spend an afternoon doing everything and now the computer is perfect. Inside the heatsinks I practically found carpets of dust. In reassembling it I decide, while I'm at it, to change the CR2032 buffer battery on the logic board.
I purchased it with its original 1TB HDD. I don't know what is on it and I have no powered SATA-USB adapters to see its contents. I decide to install macOS 10.11 on a blank SSD via another Intel Mac (version supported by both 4.1 and 5.1. Not sure if it was flashed) and mount it inside one of the SATA trays.
I turn it on and as described the computer does nothing. You can't hear the sound, the fans are spinning, the GT120 fan is spinning like crazy and on the monitor you can't see anything. Basically the monitor gets a black signal, but after a few seconds it disappears showing the message "No signal." Right away I suspect that the GT120 was indeed the problem, so I decide to put the computer on the network (isolated, just it and the Mac with Remote Desktop on the network) and try to access it. The Ethernet port flashes yellow, I sigh in relief because they are passing data, but I don't see any Macs on the network from Remote Desktop. I open the router configuration and it reports no wired devices (despite the port flashing yellow). I say okay, maybe it's not booting MacOS, but at least the card with its MAC address should detect it--nothing.
Doing these tests I restart the computer several times while holding down the power button. After a few times a new problem pops up: the Mac shuts itself down a few seconds after turning on. I click the button, the LED lights up normally, the fans start spinning, and after a few seconds the CPU-related LEDs on the processor board flash and the computer shuts down. At this point I start to think it's the dry thermal pastes, since the computer from "cold" was running, while now after a while it has this problem. When I cleaned everything I did not disassemble the heatsinks from the processors (I had no thermal paste). I order thermal paste and let it sit for a day.
While waiting, I decide to do one more test. I take the GT120 (hypothetically failed) and mount it on a PC to see what happens. Surprise: it works correctly. I start to worry because the problem is starting to look more costly than it seemed.
Thermal paste arrived, I disassemble the processor board, further clean all the dust meticulously but the thermal paste does not seem exaggeratedly dry. I replace it and reassemble everything. Already at "cold" boot the Mac starts to shut down, but this time with both processors and the northbridge with the thermal paste just put on. Service manual in hand, and I start testing it com the minimal configuration.
I get to the step where the processors card is to be inserted with only slot A populated, and with one of the processors it shuts down, while with the other it does not (still remaining with the black screen). At this point I start testing the Mac with only one processor, but I can't come up with it:
  • SMC reset: I left the Mac unplugged many times for many hours
  • PRAM reset: the Mac does not respond to commands. Despite the combination, the Mac does not reboot and never makes the boot sound
  • TMC reset: I replaced the CR2032 battery.
  • Caps lock led does not come on
  • Tried both with original HDD, SSD, and without disks (should show me the folder with the question mark) but nothing
  • DIAG leds show everything regular (photo follows)
  • No abnormal leds lit on processor board (flashes fast at startup as it should be)
  • RAM replaced, booted with bare minimum (1 bank of 2GB on channel 1)
  • Video card moved from PCIe1 to PCIe2
I don't know what to do anymore, I'm searching the forums everywhere and just found some people with the same problem. Basically the rivets on the northbridge despite looking ok, would be loose and the sensor immediately goes into error. I disassemble my board, unscrew the northbridge and I can actually move it horizontally despite the fact that it is fixed with rivets. I am hoping that this is the problem and ordered them compatible on Amazon.
Has anyone ever had something similar happen to them? In the meantime, I'll solve this problem with one CPU in socket A, then I'll think about the malfunctioning processor.
Thanks in advance!

2024.05.22 00:42 zSilver44 computer restarting/being weird

first things first, I am already aware that I have a faulty 7800 XT. If I run it at anything above 92% clock speed it causes my system to crash. That isn’t the issue I’m talking about here:
Yesterday, my PC crashed while playing Nier Replicant. This is a relatively normal thing across games (my pc sometimes randomly restarts itself mid-game ). this time, however, it just turned off. Then this issue started.
Now, when I hit the power button on my pc, instead of just booting up normally, it does one of three things (in a loop):
  1. Never gets past the bootscreen
  2. Sometimes lets me access windows but shuts down during startup
  3. Goes to a blue screen with an option to factory reset the pc
does anyone have any idea what’s going on with my pc? is it just done?
Pc specs if they help: Ryzen 7 7800x3D
G.Skill DDR5 Cl32 6000 (forgot what exact type)
2 TB Samsung 980 pro
Asrock Phantom Gaming 7800 XT (faulty)

2024.05.22 00:11 EffortOk1693 Steel toe work boots

I recently got a new job in roofing panel factory, I’m working 10 hour days and it’s constant standing and moving. It’s required to have steel or composite toe shoes/boots as I’m sure it is in many plants. The first two weeks were hell for my feet while I broke them in. My feet would hurt and it be numb for hours after I got off and took off the boots. Now that they are broken in my feet don’t hurt anymore but I have noticed I’m getting hundreds of little blisters all over my feet. Should I swap to a composite toed shoe or is this a normal thing that will go away. Thanks for any and all advice.
Edit: for anyone wondering what boots I got they are a pair of twisted X that are black and look like hey dudes.

2024.05.21 21:31 blue_heisenberg Did I buy a faulty N3DSXL?

I bought a new 3dsXL on eBay and everytime I boot it up it freezes after some time. I managed to get to the system settings once then got this error for the first time (photo attached).
Normally I’d just factory reset to start but given that the user that sold it to me mentioned the unit has “god mode 9 and Rosalina menu” what am I safe to reset to try and start troubleshooting the freezing?

2024.05.21 21:29 BigFurSeal Help Needed. Computer stuck at Win 10 spinning circle screen.

Hi Guys, thank you so much for reading this post; it's a bit long, as I tried not to omit any details. Below is a description for my case.
Computer Info:
Lenovo ThinkStation P520; C422 chipset; Xeon W-2195 CPU; 2*16GB 2666MHz registered ECC RAM; 1TB 970 Evo Plus; Graphic card 1: GTX 750Ti (as an graphic output interface); Graphic card 2: P102-100 (for graphic computing; both cards are working perfectly); Windows 10 Pro
Background:
The computer was working normally until I unnecessarily added a Gigabyte GC-Maple Ridge Thunderbolt 4 expansion card to it. The computer's user manual mentioned it was compatible with Thunderbolt 3 cards (didn't mention if it was Lenovo cards only), but didn't mention the compatibility with Thunderbolt 4 cards. So I wanted to take a chance.
I inserted the card into the 6th PCIe slot, and connected the headers on both the card and the motherboard by a USB cable and a Thunderbolt cable provided by Gigabyte. After installing the card, I turned on the Intel Thunderbolt option in BIOS.
Problem Description and Trials:
I’ve exhausted all my abilities and this issue is driving me crazy. Any hints are extremely appreciated!
I do know that I can buy a used motherboard for a few tens of bucks and get the machine running again; but I just don't want to give up on this problem...and it looks to me that it shouldn't be a hardware issue...
Thank you guys!

2024.05.21 21:12 No_Spread963 TPM 2.0 not recognized.

Regarding: LENOVO LEGION Y540 / Legion Y540-17IRH Laptop
Dear all,
I have tried literally everything I can think of to get my tpm.msc to recgonize a security chip with no resolve.
I will mention them in this text just in case it could help anyone: Adding tpm 2.0 in device manager through legacy hardware, enabling IPTT and secure boot in BIOS, resetting factory settings in BIOS. Double check security boot was enabled and correct, installed whynotwin11 to see if tpm 2.0 was recognized. Updating drivers, scanning drivers, install BypassTPMCheck, Change "Boot Mode" to "UEFI.
Is there anything else I can try or is it safe to say it is a motherboard issue?
Thanks in advance!

2024.05.21 20:23 st1tchy Revert back to stock?

I did RGH3 on a trinity and got it to boot one time. After going to put it back together, the PLL_BYPASS POST ripped off and now it won't load. Can I simply remove the wires and reload the stock NAND to go back to factory? My plan was to try RGH1.2 at a later date.

2024.05.21 20:20 shredluc Oculus Quest bricked by update

Hey folks,
So i have an original Oculus quest. Unfortunately Meta pushes updates and while installing some flooring i had the oculus sitting in the basement for about 2 weeks. I'm pretty sure the thing ran out of power when it started an update. Now im so completely bricked nothing works except the boot menu. In it, sideload option doesnt work, (light never goes purple), factory reset doesnt work, boot doesnt work. I've waited for a week (!) on each option to see if it boots or does anything other than the meta logo. It is not seen in adb or bluetooth..... A perfectly functional VR bricked beyond recovery... Here ends my journey with Quest forever.

2024.05.21 19:56 3lite768 [OTHER] How a Zelda MMO Could Work

This is my proposition for the MMO, The Legend of Zelda: War of Hyrule.
Object of the game: The armies of Queen Zelda and King Ganondorf are at war. The game is over upon the assassination of either. The player must choose a faction and cannot change sides until the defeat of Ganondorf or Zelda. It will all start again after. Ganondorf and Zelda are controlled by humans whose full time job is playing the game. There will be six people playing as each. Three people taking an 8 hour shift Monday-Friday and three people on Saturday and Sunday. When one has to call in sick or use PTO, one will take over another's shift. They can turn on AI when they need to go to the bathroom or out to lunch. The people playing as Link and Dark Link are rewarded to the player with the highest kills of their respective factions.
Ganondorf has a country to the north of Hyrule, over the gorge, past the badlands complete with it's own castle, depths, sky islands, and surface. Players to his faction start there. The country is named Drogmire.
Hyrule has been restored and even expanded. Hyrule Castle is even bigger because they put in a middle section of the castle when it got separated and they now have a really big basement going to the bottom of the depths. The final boss area in The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom is repurposed to be part of Hyrule Castle. The damaged areas are also repaired. Hyrule Castle Town Market has been restored to contain a variety of stores.
The game is $10 a month. $5 with a subscription to Nintendo Switch Online. The players of the winning faction get the next month free. Everyone pays the first month. If multiple victories happen in one month, only the first one counts. The monthly fee will contribute to the wages of the people playing as Zelda and Ganondorf, maintenance, and adding additional features.
There are ten playable races. Five to each faction. Everyone starts out with 23 hearts. 17 shrines per race. Other races cannont enter the shrine designed to that particular race. There is a boss at the end of every shrine, but only 17 total. You can rechallenge three of the bosses a day. Upon the completion of a shine a heart container will be awarded. Stamina vessels will be purchased for 2000 rupees each. More shrines may be added as time goes on.
There will be a new separate armor set for shoes.
You can create your own character's physical appearance in an avatar creator. Players have the option of letting AI suggest a physical appearance. In order to avoid everyone wearing the same looking armor, AI will decide what each set of armor looks like or you can edit it yourself. The effect of the armor is the same for everyone. The Hateno Dye Shop can make other alterations besides color change.
Fast travel is limited to once per day. Completed shrines are the fast travel points and the map builder. Shrines also act as a launchpad. Maps are unavailable in enemy territory. This prevents an absolute frenzy to one location when the locations of Zelda or Ganondorf are revealed. Fast travel cannot be done inside enemy territory except to exit. Entering is not allowed.
The new type of Goo called Bliss will he introduced. It is the glowing yellow version of Gloom. Those in Zelda's Faction will experience healing in Bliss while those in Ganondorf's faction will be hurt by Bliss. There will also be a new food called Light Clumps. They offer Bliss Warding for Ganondorf's Factions, but are poison to Zelda's Faction. Dark Clumps are poisonous to Ganondorf's faction. It will cause poison damage if used as a weapon such as fused to an arrow or a melee weapon.
Powers of Purah pads for Zelda's Faction and Astor pads for Ganondorf's faction include Ultrahand, Fuse, Autobuild, Ascend, Rewind, Stasis, and the three new abilities: Grow, Shrink, and Arrow Prefusion. They also act as phones to communicate with other players over a distance.
Playable races to Zelda's faction.
Hylian: Level 3 Stealth Unarmed ability is Earthwake. Sprint upon pressing B. Material drops upon defeat: femurs and ears.
Rito: Level 2 Cold Resistance Unarmed ability is Gust Flight upon pressing B. No stamina is consumed when gliding, but stamina is consumed when obtaining lift. Material drops upon defeat:Beaks and wings.
Goron: Level 2 Fireproof Unarmed ability is Charge. Rolling upon pressing B. Cannot swim, but can walk on bottom of water. Cannot ride horses except giant ones. Material Drops upon defeat are back shells and hands.
Zora: Level 3 Swim Speed. Unarmed ability is Water Slash. Sprinting upon pressing B on land, super speed swimming in water. Cannot drown, even when stamina is depleted. Can swim underwater. Material Drops upon defeat: Head and arm fins.
Gerudo: Level 2 Heat Resistance. Unarmed ability is Riju's Fury. Sprinting upon pressing B. Materials dropped upon defeat: arm bones and rib cages.
Playable characters to Ganondorf's faction.
Bokoblin: Level 3 Speed Up. Unarmed ability is charge. Sprint upon pressing B. Materials dropped on defeat: horns and fangs.
Moblin: Level 3 Bliss Warding Resistance. Unarmed ability is Ground Pound. Sprint upon pressing B. Cannot ride horses except giant ones. Materials dropped upon defeat: horns and fangs.
Lynel: Attack Up Level 3. Unarmed ability is Fire Breath. Dash upon pressing B at the cost of one full stamina wheel. Cannot ride horses, shield surf, or paraglide, or climb. Materials dropped upon defeat: Sharp horn and blunt horn.
Lizalfo: Shock Resistance Level 3 Unarmed ability is Water Ball Spit. Sprint upon pressing B on land, super speed in water. Cannot drown even when stamina is depleted. Can swim underwater. Materials dropped upon defeat: horns and fins.
Gibdo: Defense Up Level 3. Unarmed ability is Sandstorm. Flight upon pressing B. No stamina consumed when gliding, but stamina is consumed when obtaining lift. Materials dropped upon defeat: ribcage and wings.
Ganondorf, Zelda, Link, and Dark Link all have 40 hearts, three stamina wheels, and all max level buffs. All their stock weapons are unbreakable. Melee weapons do 100 damage unfused, bows do 50 damage, and shields have 90 Shield Guard.
In game communication is avaliable. A USB keyboard can be plugged into the Nintendo Switch. Voice chat is also available. Since all Gerudos must be female and all Gorons must be male, there is also an AI voice changer you can use to sound like your opposite gender. Not that a wrong gender sounding voice is unacceptable. It can also be used to personalize your voice for your other characters if you choose.
All forageable materials respawn every midnight in the Pacific time zone because that is where Nintendo of America is located.
Players can buy, sell, donate, or trade items at their own agreed price. To prevent inflation, there will be only 2 billion rupees in the game. The prices in shops will be adjusted by AI in a supply and demand algorithm.
Local 2 player splitscreen is available.
There will be robot factories where people can assemble their own robots that are AI controlled to hunt down enemies.
There will be a real estate system. Players can buy and sell land and houses. They can design their own homes and store any excess items there.
Champions and Divine Beasts
Whomever has the most kills within that race is labeled the Champion. Each Champion is rewarded with a mansion that has its own armory, storage space, and garage for their own Divine Beast. Only Champions may use Divine Beasts. Kills made while piloting a Divine Beasts do not count towards your kills to keep your position as a Champion or to play as Link or Dark Link because Divine Beasts are overpowered. The Divine Beasts include the ones from the Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild and more for Hylians, and all of Ganondorf's faction.
Divine Beast Vah Epona: The Divine Beast that is a horse. Piloted by the Hylian Champion.
Divine Beast Vah Boko: The Divine Beast that is a boar. Piloted by the Bokoblin Champion.
Divine Beasts Vah Ursus. The Divine Beasts that is a bear. Piloted by the Moblin Champion.
Divine Beast Vah Leonis. Divine Beast that is a lion. Piloted by the Lynel Champion.
Divine Beast Vah Saurian. Divine Beast that is a serpent. Piloted by the Lizalfo Champion.
Divine Beast Vah Noctis. Divine Beast that is a bat. Piloted by the Gibdo Champion.
Kill Counts against AI based enemies do not count for being a Champion, Link, or Dark Link.
Death
Upon dying, another race within your faction must be chosen. Your other unplayed races will join you as avatars. The avatars can take damage and be defeated. Food can be used to heal Avatars. Avatars can be double teamed to use unarmed ability. Avatars have unbreakable stock weapons. Avatars can be healed with food. Upon the defeat of all five races, all can respawn. Upon your defeat you lose 1 of your weapons, bows, and shields for any surrounding players to grab. You will also lose 10 materials chosen at random.
New items Goron Bow: Normal arrows into fire arrows automatically.
Light Clump: Bliss Warding food. Poisonous to Zelda's faction.everything isthmus.
Armor of the Depths (Light Version): Bliss Warding armor for Ganondorf's faction.
Ice shoes: Freezes the ground with each step. Allows for walking on water and lava.
Iron Boots: Makes wearer heavy. Allows for walking on floor of water or to stay put in strong wind.
Cockpit: Zonai device that encases user. Possible uses can include the build for submarines. Also allows for shielding for vehicles.
Oxygen Tank: Zonai devices for extra air. Can be used for scuba diving or for additional air for submarine builds.
Gibdo Bow: Normal arrows turn into shock arrows automatically.

2024.05.21 19:05 ApricotPast3478 PC running windows 11 completely freezing during boot up

For a while now, my PC has sometimes frozen during boot-up for windows 11. It’s always on the loading symbol or the "Preparing Automatic Repair" screen. Usually, I would just restart it, and after 1 or 2 tries, it would boot up and work with no issues.
Then, about 2 days ago, I tried to play Overwatch (which I had no issues with the day before), and my game crashed, mentioning an issue about graphics card drivers. So, I updated my drivers through GeForce Experience and tried to get back on. This time, it crashed my whole PC. After that, I tried to get back into Windows, but it wouldn’t let me, except for a handful of times before crashing again.
After turning it off a few times, I made it to the Windows repair screen and chose "Reinstall Windows but keep personal files." After that didn’t work, I did it again and chose "Delete personal files." Then it froze while reinstalling Windows, so I turned it off and on again. It ended up taking me to Windows before crashing more. Then, I couldn’t even get into Windows, and every time I turned it on, I got a blue screen or the frozen spinning circle.
I got into the BIOS and tried to do a new Windows install with a USB, but I couldn’t get past the frozen loading screen. Then, I factory reset the motherboard using JBAT1. After doing that, I finally got into Windows on the first try, and everything seemed normal.
I then ran a memory scan, and the PC restarted to do it. It got to about 7 percent done and froze, so I had to turn it off and on again. Now, it’s freezing on the same screens again. Before it froze on the test, it had a note saying something along the lines of problem detected, contact manufacturer.
Does anyone know how to fix this or what could be wrong?

2024.05.21 17:56 192dot Maybe i bought a lemon but I will never buy an AMD graphics card again.

Bought an AMD Radeon 7900XTX (4080 Equivalent) GPU. I went with it due to also buying AMD Ryzen 9. This is part of a build with all new parts. I have never used an NVIDIA card with this at all.
TLDR; A lot of games have not been running well with the gpu. I keep getting driver timeouts which crash my computer. The card and its drivers are updated always.
  1. When helldivers 2 came out. That was a terrible first couple of weeks lol. Its great now but still will crash if I run the game above an fps limit of 90.
  2. Some games, even low workload games get a driver timeout. Kebab Chef Simulator cant even run properly. I put the game on an fps cap as well, so my card doesnt just keep working until it blows up. I had 2400 fps......
  3. Ray tracing isnt viable. I already knew this prior. Just stating that.
  4. I never had this much crashing on a system before. I'm running factory clocks. I have 5 intake fans and 4 exhaust fans. My OS is Windows 11 and boots from a Gen 5 M2 drive.
Not sure what I should do but I'm probably about to sell it and buy a 4080, or even a 90...
cheers,

Nutanix first boot issues
Hi guys,
Following Broadcom’s takeover of VMware and ESXi, I’m trying to convince my manager to move to nutanix. He said to load an instance of it in our lab using the community licence temporarily but I’m having issues.
  1. It looks over every port for an active internet connection even if it gets an ip (might be me overthinking it 😅)
  2. It boots into a Linux 5.10.2 instance with files (shown in screenshot) but when doing the “./ce_installer” I get this error!
Any help with this would be appreciated, device has an active connection and a more than suitable USB (I’ve tried 2 of the same model)

I did not know it was rooted with LineageOS and wanted to reset everything so I could input my information/preferences. Now it is stuck in an endless loop and Google is not very helpful for someone wanting to reinstall what is necessary to get the tablet running again. I just want to use it for an application, one application, not concerned whether it is worth it or not...just would like to install what it had on it before if that information is available and capable.
*Also should note that I am using iOS/Mac and have hit deadends when it comes to Heimdall, Jodin3, and Smart Switch*

2024.05.21 05:47 nexusjuan Trying to forward a port for rdio-scanner with Hitron coda-5172 modem/router and or an eero gateway device.

So I've got a modem provided by Sparklight that seems to be firmware locked to disable access to the router settings. It was initially setup in bridged mode with the wireless gateway installed in the modem via network cable then to my network devices via an unmanaged 8 port d-link switch to the 2nd port on the eeros wireless gateway. Changing the port forwarding options from the Android eeros app seems to do nothing I still can't reach the port from outside of my local network. So disconnecting the eeros connecting the switch to the device then rebooting the I can connect to the internet still and my devices on the network but I still can't get to the router settings. Factory reset of the device via the hardware reset button grants me temporary access to the gateway upon initial boot, but it reboots before I can login and seems to download a firmware update that locks me out of the gateway. Theres no login when I go to the default gateway or the gateway listed in my /ipconfig just can't connect.

2024.05.21 05:43 ApricotPast3478 PC running windows 11 freezing during boot up

PC running windows 11 freezing during boot up
For a while now, my PC has sometimes frozen during boot-up for windows 11 (see pics).

2024.05.21 04:43 tungvu256 Amazfit GTS 3 works fine while in charger only.

my GTS3 seems to work fine and shows 100% fully charged. however, as soon as i take out of charger, it will instantly shut down. to get the screen back on again, i have to place the watch back in the charger. it boots back on.
things i have tried:
  1. press and hold 15+ seconds, wont come on.
  2. press and hold 15+ seconds while in the charger, watch does come On and asks me if i want to factory reset. to factory reset, i have to press and hold to confirm 3 times. still no luck with the auto shut Off once out of the charger

2024.05.21 03:22 DestroyingCakelite My D: Drive is gone and I don't know what to do.

Today I made a series of bad mistakes.
So, first my internet kept cutting out only on my computer so I tried what I usually did (resetting router, resetting pc, resetting adapter) and nothing has worked. So, I go to look for driver updates in windows, and I see one that might help me. I go to download it, but it immediately disappears and starts trying to do this security update from January. The update keeps failing so I look for solutions online. Eventually, I find this microsoft article that was linked that I thought would help me to install the update so I could get to the driver update. Well, after I followed the tutorial, the update still failed and I decided to cut my losses and just wait for the internet to fix itself. After another restart, I try to boot up a game and it says its not installed, so I check my pc and find my entire D: drive is gone. I look in disk management and there is no option to reformat anything, the only option is "help" (as seen in the image below), and after hours of searching online I still don't find anything related to my issue. At this point I decided a factory reset would be the only option but I couldn't even do one because I don't own a flash drive.
This has given me such a huge migraine any help would be appreciated.
