I am having some difficulty with breast pumping and need some advice. My son is about a month old. I have been struggling pretty bad with my mental health lately, and I am also the sole caretaker of my son, his father is at work most of the time and we have nobody else in our life nearby. Due to the overwhelming stress combined with second night syndrome, I began combo feeding despite wanting to EBF. I now feed about 95-97% formula with maybe 4 oz of BM on a good day. I pump about 3-4 times a day which I know isn't nearly enough but I am always so tired and I don't understand how other moms can wake themselves up throughout the night to pump, I feel like I just don't have the discipline to do so. That being said, I have constant anxiety and guilt over giving my son formula, and he gets diaper rash on and off that is really painful for him. We have tried everything to mitigate the diaper rash but it just comes back within days anyway for whatever reason.
I would like to rebuild my milk supply and become more frequent and disciplined in how much I pump per day, but getting there is so difficult mentally. Whenever I go to wash my pump parts/pump I feel like I'm frozen in place. I just want to do whats best for my son and I feel so shitty that I am taking the lazy way out. IDK why I feel this way because I don't judge other moms who use formula but it makes me feel so bad when I do it. The thought of my milk drying up also makes me so emotional because it makes me feel like my baby is growing up too fast. Any advice or words of encouragement are appreciated.

I am a 26F. I use Humalog in an insulin pump for type 1 diabetes (latest A1C 5.9) and take duloxetine 60 mg once daily for anxiety.
9 days ago, I woke up with urgency to urinate, increased urine frequency, and burning with urination. Went to urgent care, where I had a UA positive for leukocytes, protein, and blood. I completed a course of Macrobid twice daily for 7 days. Urine culture came back as “lactobacillus.”
The symptoms never completely went away and I woke up with similar symptoms this morning. I went to an urgent care where they said they couldn’t tell if I had a UTI because their machine bases it off color and I had taken OTC AZO. They sent my urine for culture and prescribed ciprofloxacin 500 mg twice daily for 5 days.
I’m reading there is a “major” interaction between ciprofloxacin and duloxetine. I’ve already had one dose of the cipro. Is this interaction concerning enough to discontinue the medication?

Started my new job yesterday. Today I show up early again and went to go grab my pump stuff to get some milk before my shift starts, to find out my pump stuff isnt in my bag. I am now sitting in the car thinking of a way to get a cheap something until the end of my shift.. I'm a 40 minute drive away from home and the nearest target is 10 minutes away, I wouldn't make it there and back on time...

Hey all, I recently tried retrofitting cruise control to my mk3 1.4 TSI Scirocco with the mk5 golf wheel without buttons. Since my car is fairly similar to a mk5 Golf I followed this tutorial video https://youtu.be/aEMRIPjeJAs?si=gz10UimhuCUleJPm
I have since added the new cruise control stalk (I got one from Meyle) and got the engine ECU and steering wheel module re-programmed (did this before adding the new stalk) however, cruise control is not working yet. I scanned the car with OBD11 and I got the following error code on the steering module "01044 control module incorrectly coded". The steering wheel module is VW 1K0-953-549-CQ which I do believe should be able to take cruise control. Is this error code to be expected after recoding a module? (ie if it has different values from stock) or will this only show up when the values are invalid?
I have contacted another Vagcom specialist in my area who asked me if I had "ran a cable from the steering module to the engine". I was under the assumption that running a cable to the engine was only needed on older VW models (mk4 and mk3), is this true or is there a possibility that I need to add this cable?
I will be going back to the person that re-programmed my engine ECU and steering module the first time to do some more troubleshooting, but I want to make sure that all the hardware is as it should be as to not waste my and their time.
I hope this is clear enough, if you have any question please let me know. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

2024.05.21 18:05 cr1palucard Fuel Pump not priming
Currently having a main relay/ fuel pump issue. I've checked the ground and power pins on the plug to the relay and everything seems fine. Sometimes fuel pump will prime and turn over fine. But after doing a pull, the next time i try to turn it on the fuel pump doesnt prime. So theres not start. I bypass the relay and the fuel pump turns on, but when i plug the relay back in, nothing. I will usually leave it for a day or two, and when I go to turn it on, the fuel pump primes. How exactly are are the wiring ran from the battery to ecu to relay, or battery to relay to ecu? I've tried reading diagrams but still confusing.

After 1 year and 3 months I decided to stop using this IUD. The reasons are:
10kg gained that I could not lose regardless of how much exercise I was doing (my doctor swore it wasn’t the IUD but it was literally the only thing that changed regarding my body/habits, I guess now we’ll find out)
Oily skin with constant smaller breakouts like I had when I was a teenager (I’m almost 30 now and haven’t had acne in years before the IUD)
Unpredictable bleeding - my period didn’t stop coming, I just didn’t know when it was gonna come and for how long, it could last for 10 days and come every 2 months or whatever it wanted
Horrible cramping specially during the first 6 months
Depressed mood: I already have hypothyroidism and depression taken care of with medication, but I swear the IUD made everything SO MUCH worse
Blood cysts in my ovaries
Two new nodes in my breast due to weight gain
I swear it was the worst thing and being unable to pull it off immediately was so frustrating. When I first decided to get rid of it, my doctor recommended not to and I listened to her. Later on I switched doctors to one that was less biased and she totally supported my decision to take the IUD out. She actually tried to do so in the appointment but the freaking wire was not visible (I swear I wanted to cry the whole week after that scared of the possibility I was going to need to go to surgery). The doctor advised I tried to feel the wire for the next 10 days and book a returning appointment. I felt the wire and after a week went back for removal and she was able to do it! Literally the best feeling ❤️
One special thing that was so frustrating is that before the IUD I was able to lose like 5kg/month as long as exercising and eating healthy (even having hypo) but with the IUD it was literally impossible, weight would only go up.
Now let’s see how it goes, I’ll keep you posted.
P.S.: going back to the pill, I’m gonna start Qlaira today. I took this pill in the past and had no problem with it, it was actually great.
P.S. 2: every body is different, not trying to say people shouldn’t use hormonal IUDs, just sharing my experience in order to help ppl going through something similar.

Hello there,
First and foremost i want to point out that i'm not an expert at all, i have used pfsense for 6 months or so, i then decided to switch to opnsense which i'm literally still learning how to use it,so i think i'm still on the newbie side, i hope it's not a problem i posted this thread also on the opnsense side, one thing i always found better about pfsense is the community being way more active and maybe this will be the thing that will make me jump back on pfsense, i want to specify that every little help will be amazing and really appreciated. I hope i won't trigger anybody if i misunderstand something or make any (newbie) mistake though post.
I know there are already a few of these posts, but as the title says, i'm trying to implement 2 opnsense firewalls (1 master 1 backup) with the 2 isp i have (1 Primary 1 backup), somehow there is not a single video tutorial or really detailed guide on how to achieve this.
As i read through different guides for carp or multiwan, i understood a few things, you gotta have at least 3 static ips, 1 for each WAN and 1 for the CARP interfaces, here i get the first doubt, as you can see in the diagram i have 2 ISP i know each has at least a static IP,(those are purely for example) i'm now wondering what would the 3 static ip for the carp? is it a virtual IP that i should choose?
as for the multiwan failover, if i configure a failver group as shown in many guides, once i implement the synconization between the 2 firewalls, will the multilan setup automatically work also on the backup firewall?

about the ip of my wan, is there any way to check if it is a single static ip available, or if it's a /29 subnet? Should i ask my isp? is there any chance in case i have a single ip, to ask the isp provider to change it and give a /29 subnet? (this part is not clear to me as you can see, and would appreciate someone to explain it to me, thank you.

I am having some difficulty with breast pumping and need some advice. My son is about a month old. I have been struggling pretty bad with my mental health lately, and I am also the sole caretaker of my son, his father is at work most of the time and we have nobody else in our life nearby. Due to the overwhelming stress combined with second night syndrome, I began combo feeding despite wanting to EBF. I now feed about 95-97% formula with maybe 4 oz of BM on a good day. I pump about 3-4 times a day which I know isn't nearly enough but I am always so tired and I don't understand how other moms can wake themselves up throughout the night to pump, I feel like I just don't have the discipline to do so. That being said, I have constant anxiety and guilt over giving my son formula, and he gets diaper rash on and off that is really painful for him. We have tried everything to mitigate the diaper rash but it just comes back within days anyway for whatever reason.
I would like to rebuild my milk supply and become more frequent and disciplined in how much I pump per day, but getting there is so difficult mentally. Whenever I go to wash my pump parts/pump I feel like I'm frozen in place. I just want to do whats best for my son and I feel so shitty that I am taking the lazy way out. IDK why I feel this way because I don't judge other moms who use formula but it makes me feel so bad when I do it. The thought of my milk drying up also makes me so emotional because it makes me feel like my baby is growing up too fast. Any advice or words of encouragement are appreciated.

Hello everyone. I live in a house with a well in Michigan, USA. The static water level is 15 feet below the surface (~5 feet below my basement floor). The existing well pump is 1/2 HP 240V, and it is located in the well shaft around 50 feet down. The well shaft is about 60 feet from my house.
We have frequent power outages, and the well pump is unavailable during those times. I would like to install a backup 120V pump that I could run using my available backup 120V electrical sources.
Since the static water level is relatively close to my basement floor, I believe that a shallow well jet pump in my basement would be able to pull water, based on manufacturer pump specs.
For the installation, I would like to install 2 tees into the water source line between the main house shutoff valve and the pressure tank, connect the shallow well pump between the tees, and install valves so that I can isolate the water flow to either the main line (normal operation) or the backup pump.
I would also like to install an electrical cord on the pump and not direct-wire it, so that I could easily plug the pump into whatever electrical source is available. The backup pump would have an integrated pressure switch.
This is an atypical set-up, and I want to ensure that I am not violating any codes that the county inspector will flag. I have reviewed the Michigan Residential Code (2015 edition, link below), and I do not see any obvious prohibitions, but I could have easily missed something.
Does anyone with more experience know if there are any obvious code prohibitions with what I am trying to do?

 | Need some assistance with wiring up my 3rd gen Nest Learning Thermostat. I have single stage AC/Heating. Heating is gas furnace with NO heat pump. My main concern is the blue wire. I want to say its Common, as its connected to the Common terminal at the blower, but it doesn't seem to be connected to the blue wire to my thermostat. The blue out of the blower is connected to white? I want to preface this by noting that this is a ramble. I have a lot of thoughts, this is probably too many unnecessary details but at this point that’s one of the things Im struggling with as a (SAH) parent of a little with T1D.
So my daughter was diagnosed June of last year when she was still 3. It’s been a crazy journey, and while I’m grateful we haven’t had to deal with any life threatening incidences since her first DKA and diagnosis I can’t help but worry about her sugar all day, every day.
She’s on MDI, we’re doing a pump class next month (a requirement before her endo will approve), just recently changed her long acting and was seeing improvement in her glucose—but now it feels like we’re back to the beginning somehow?
She’s had so many days where she’s above 200. When I looked at her libre 3 ‘time in ranges,’ she was for the longest only ‘in range’ 38% of the time, any other time was way above. However, a few weeks ago (around the beginning of the month) I played around with her breakfast ratio and it seemed as if I found the ratio that REALLY worked for her—and then two days later she had her endo appointment and they changed her long acting because her sugar was going over 350 3-4 hours after eating lunch. For the first two weeks of this month she went from being in range 38% of the time to 67% of the time! It was so… great? But for the last week, she’s been pushing back into the 300s.
Now, one of the things that makes me feel like a helicopter parent: since she’s only 4 (5 in July ), I prefer to check her sugar myself and do all of her injections myself—one of the reasons being that I’ve noticed during this year that when my husband does her injections her glucose levels are even worse (there was one incident —early weeks of diagnosis— where he didn’t even inject her, the medicine literally sat on her skin and she was about to eat). Recently my little one tried to (very quickly) help me set up her needle and she bent the needle that goes into the pen (unbeknownst to me), and I tried to prime it like 3 times and I thought the pen broke. When i went to disassemble it to toss it was when I noticed the bent needle. Tried again with new one, went to prime and sooo much insulin came out, like there was so much pressure. It was an extremely stressful morning, and I no longer wanted her to help me get her medicine ready.
She knows how to check her sugar, but when it comes to cleaning her finger really well, she does not do a good job and I go behind her and recheck when the number from her test comes back 40+ different from her CGM.
Since she has a libre 3, her cgm is connected to my phone. We have a reader, have not yet used it because my phone stays in her room over night to be within range of her while I have it also connected to my iPad. When she goes low, she doesn’t wake up with the device blaring right next to her—but the notifications coming to my iPad inform me to check her.
I’m at a point where I’m…lost. She doesn’t seem to fully grasp certain parts of this journey? Should I make her check herself throughout the day until she gets the hang of that first? When should I let her give herself medicine (this part scares the ever loving life out of me because I’m terrified she’ll over do it and not want to drink/eat something to fix it because she’s full or something)?
And since she’s turning 5, she ought to be going to school in autumn—but I’m so unbelievably terrified because we live in a small town and it feels like so many people are ignorant to type 1 and assume it’s type 2. I plan to homeschool, but with her attention span I know it’s going to be difficult. But teachers mindlessly hand out candy, and while not everyone has diabetes, I know it’s going to be another crap experience for her because she was dealt a shitty hand. I even struggle with the judgment when we’re at the store trying to check out and she throws a fit for one of those gourmet lollipops that don’t have the carbs listed on it and there’s no guarantee she’s even going to finish it. When I say no, people just look at me like “what a bad mom, let that baby have a lollipop.”
I don’t restrict her diet. If she wants a piece of chocolate or cookie, or whatever: she can have it— if it’s more than 5carbs, I make her understand she has to have medicine for it. She’s a kid. She loves carbs, all the bread, noodles, desserts—I’m trying to do everything right for her.
She’s a kid, she should have all those experiences and privileges allotted to kids—but how am I to navigated this without dictating every single moment of her life?

(~50F) Attempting to build a regimen and was looking for some assistance. Skin type/concerns: 1. Acne-prone - primarily hormonal cysts. Concentrated on chin, some minor comedones on forehead. Cheeks are usually clear. 2. Eye milia...any ideas about what may be causing? How to get rid of? 3. I am guessing somewhat dehydrated? Can be oily to (which I understand is common). 4. Sebaceous filaments on nose.
Requirements: 1. Fragrance Free 2. Non-comedogenic (prefer to avoid silicones, shea, coconut). 3. Not sure about Hyaluronic Acid, Niacinamide. Prefer to avoid and add in if needed. 4. Pumps or tubes, NO TUBS or POTS.
Current "Routine":
Cleansers: TO Glucoside Foaming Cleanser, Neutrogena Fragrance Free Ultra Gentle, CeraVe SA Cleanser, Cera Ve Benzoyl Peroxide cleanser, Cosrx Good Morning Gel, or TO Squalene Cleanser AM: TO Argireline (forehead) AM: TO Matrixyl (stopped using...to see if it was causing acne). AM: Financea Gel 15%. Entire face AM: Elf Pure Skin Moisturizer or LRP Sensitive Fluide (this one burns a bit). AM: LRP Mineral (face ....tinted ultra-fluud lotion) or Vichy Capital Soleil mineral ultra light UV lotion. (I have some Korean ones coming!! The BoJ, Inistree, Canmake Mermaid...) *I usually don't wait particularly long between applications * Usually stop the Financea/Retin-A Micro on Monday as I do IPL on upper lip/chin on Wed. Depending how I respond, I may start again on Friday/Sat
PM: TO Argireline (forehead) PM: TO Matryxil (stopped using) PM: might use Cosrx BHA (on nose only...sebaceous filaments) PM: Retin-A Micro 0.04%...been using for 6 months. Seem to be tolerating well, have Rx for 0.1%, so am mixing 1 pump of each (for about 0.07%). I use the 0.07% every second night and do 0.04% other nights). So far no flaking/peeling a week in. Will aim to increase slowly. PM: TO Natural Factors + HA or TO Natural Factors + Phytoceramides
Additional: I have a Rx for 5% spironolatone in Cleoderm base. Not sure where/how to fit in. Feel I should solidify routine before adding. I was on yhis previously and it did help with hair growth. I tried oral spiro, and had nasty side effects. I also have TO glycoild acid and M2 mandelic/lactic serum, Skinceuticals Blemish & Age Defense, and Epionce Lytic Tx that I sometimes add in, but these aren't regulars.
I also have a few Korean sunscreens on the way. 🤞 no eye-stinging or I will be searching for a mineral sunscreen as I don't love LRP and the Vichy is even worse.
I have tried oil cleansing for 2 minutes to get sebaceous filaments out. Never, ever, have I seen this be of benefit. No success, whatsoever.
PM: If I up my Retin-A micro, I think I will need a better moisturizer.

It all started when…
Chapter 2: Of Boosters and Boomsticks
Wooden crates, about 2 feet taller than me and wide enough to fit two dead bodies, sat lined up outside, leaning against the back of the warehouse. All of them had been stamped “This End Up” with a large arrow pointing said direction, all in black charring. Below the arrow, in red paint, the word “EXPLOSIVE” had been stenciled.
“Ahhh, one of my favorite words!” I says as I teasingly knocked on the crate loud enough for Hoskins to hear, “Explosive.”
Hoskins was the inventory clerk, a short and stout man with a surly dispassion. He had an accent I found hard to place but, since he’s too dead for me to ask these days, I’m just gonna’ say he came from somewhere around the Australian plateau. Maybe New Zealand or Tasmania, someplace like that…I don’t know. Wish I did.
Anyways —
“Bloody ‘ell, mate! You’re chancin’ a right trip straight to the barbie!” he says.
“Yeah,” I says with a coy smile, “You love it when I tease you.” I stretched my arms out, a little proud of myself for riling him up so easily.
“Yeah, mate. You and that boobie.” He pointed to my shirt.
Sure enough, a hole in the right side of my shirt had risen up and, while I stretched, one of the girls was sayin’ ‘Hello!’ to Hoskins, who just grinned to himself as he looked away to the wooden crate. Lettin’ my stance relax back to oh-naturel, I straightened my shirt and jacket, and set to helpin’ the guy ease one of the crate’s lids open. From inside the crate, strands and bundles of hay began to fall out, and Hoskins kicked it all off to the side.
“Diesel, I got this lid,” he grunted as he took all the weight. “Make sure none of that hay blows away.”
“Why?” I asked, completely clueless to the situation. “You afraid the mustangs will go after it or something? I mean they know the field’s mined, don’t they?” Now you might be thinking ‘Mustangs? Like the horses?’ and I could see why you’d be thinking that but, no, the mustangs I’m talking about were the rabble rousing punks that were always trying to raid us.
He stopped and thought about it as though it were the first time it had crossed his mind, “There is that, ya’ bet. They’d give anything for this stuff.”
“But?” I pressed as I knelt down to scoop up the falling hay.
Still just standing there, thinking, he looked right at me and said, “I suppose it’s time for ya’ be brought in on certain things.”
“What kind of ‘certain things’?” I raised an eyebrow as I looked up at him with a fist full of hay.
“Well,” he thought some more. “The sergeant thought it okay for ya’ to come out here with me and grab this stuff, so…”
“So…what?”
The wind picked up and hit the crates lid just right, I saw it teeter and, as I stood to keep from getting’ squashed, Hoskins just about lost his mind at all the hay getting’ blown out. Inside the crate, loosening from their place as the hay filtered out, long rods with explosives tied to their tips began to slip and topple. Hoskins let go of the lid to grab for the rods, I sidestepped the lid, and it came thudding down in a flurry of dust a dried-grasses. A large puffy cloud of hay fell out and waltzed around and dispersed and skipped away, and splayed itself out all over the Test Yard…and the minefield beyond. Hoskins stood there grumblin to himself, half apologizing for nearly crushin’ me, and more-so cursin’ at the mess. And, sure enough, one of the mustangs zoomed up over the ridge and down to the razor-wire and, then, decided to hop out of his dune buggy to chase down some of that good-ol hay. I nudged Hoskins in the side to watch and, when the blast of dirt and dust cleared with no sign of the punk to be seen, I handed him the tuft of hay.
“So, what is it you wanted to tell me about the hay?”
He told me all about the hay and, let me tell you what, it was a mouthful. “Rekindlite,” they called it, and by ‘they’ I mean the Firestarters, according to Hoskins that is. And, that it’s as good as gold to the Firestarters. He went on to tell me how they ground it up as fine as it could get, and that they used the powered dust as a fuel for the rocket boosters they so loved to use. All that said, it was a secretly valuable resource when it came to trading things between the factions, so, I understood why it was to be keep secret.
Anyways, I’m startin’ to ramble so, please, allow me to just get back to the story.
There I was, back in the garage workin’ on the Snaggeltooth with most everyone, Hoskins takin’ the parts list of what we pulled from the yard over to the sergeant’s bunk.
“Yeah!” I says to the others, “He just ran right after that stuff like there was no tomorrow and, BAM! No more Mustang…” the crew laughed here and there through the garage. “They even had the decency to park their rig right out front.” I cranked away on the ratchet, tightening one of the explosive rods to the undercarriage when, and this was some crazy crap, when Kenny (poor kid…rest his soul…good kid…shame) I guess no one had taken the time to explain to him exactly what he was handling. And, I have to admit to really only seeing it all outta’ the corner of my eye because, yeah, it happened so damn fast.
“I’ll save you, Nikki!” Kenny blurted out as he pulled a rod from the crate, hoisted it under his arm like he was Prince Valiant, or Sir Lancelot, swung it around and, BAM! I don’t know what he hit but he hit something.
Thrown to the ground with a ringing in my ears, a blind spot in the corner of one eye and the concrete floor all jammed up in the other, and with the wind knocked from my lungs. Aw crap! Is what I thought, “mbmmbmmpoo,” is what escaped my lips.
Kenny was just a scorched smear on the concrete with pieces of himself and the wooden crate scattered everywhere.
We all lost a little sleep that night. Kenny was just a teen that wandered up out of the dunes one day…knockin’ on the door of our garage just lookin’ for a place to belong.
Did he belong here? I thought to myself layin’ there on that saggy couch. I thought he did. “Should have watched out for him more…” I whispered into the crook of the couch as I rolled over.
Like I said, sleep was lost thinkin’ about it all. We had a plan set for the next day, and Kenny was set to fill up a barrel of fuel down at Fang’s station just before dawn. Now, that task fell to me, won’t be a big deal, I thought as I tossed and turned and, finally, drifted away.
My eyes opened up to the ashen grey of daybreak, and my heart just about jumped out of my chest, “Aw crap!” And, I’m pretty sure I woke up anyone else still asleep, but I didn’t stick around to find out. I grabbed the starter module for the Snaggeltooth, hopped into the rig (which I know for a fact woke everyone up), and got my sad ass down to Fang’s station. “Thank God they put the barrel in the back last night…” and they did. Thank God!

Kenny was just a scorched smear on the concrete with pieces of himself and the wooden crate scattered everywhere.

My eyes opened up to the ashen grey of daybreak, and my heart just about jumped out of my chest, “Aw crap!” And, I’m pretty sure I woke up anyone else still asleep, but I didn’t stick around to find out. I grabbed the starter module for the Snaggeltooth, hopped into the rig (which I know for a fact woke everyone up), and got my sad ass down to Fang’s station. “Thank God they put the barrel in the back last night…” and they did. Thank God!

With his cybernetics, Conor was in decent enough shape and could sprint ten kilometers in full battle rattle without breaking a sweat, but Conor had pushed himself and didn’t need to wax a few Voodal in his way.
Conor had heard that Kurlatra were dense, but his assumptions about how heavy they were came nowhere close to the reality of picking one up.
Whatever this woman's name was, she likely weighed north of eighty kilograms. It was a shock because she was a meter and a half tall at most. For Urka’s sake, Conor only weighed one hundred and fifty kilograms despite being two meters tall and filled to the brim with wires.
He thought a bit about the woman's build and realized why she must weigh so much. She had hips and legs that could crush a man's skull. Along with a pair of tits just big enough that they would overflow from your hands.
Conner was made all the more well aware of those traits as he adjusted her to ensure he would not drop the little lass. Her fatty chest and plump thighs would try to swallow his hip each time he did. No sentient this small had any right being heavier than his entire breacher kit, explosives, anti-rifle armor, and all.
If not for Brakul expecting this rosey scag to be delivered to Stitch’s place, Conor would have lugged her to his safe house, which was far closer. But no, he had another job and order to follow.

Conor did not want to bring trouble to Stitch’s place. He did not have the slightest idea where he would find another techy who could synthesize the cocktail of stimulants Stitch made to keep his broken body held together. Pissing the tech head off was not high on his priority list.
Over the next ten minutes, the only thing his thermal vision picked up between him and the main road was a few Zlit rats scurrying atop discarded food. Their fleshy tendrils groped the garbage and pulled it into maws of razor-sharp teeth.
The sight of them sent a shiver down his spine. Those foul little mammals were high on his list of hated creatures, having been bitten by them more than once since he was a kid slinking around the gutters of Heavalun.
Pushing those memories away, Conor traveled deeper and rounded a blind corner. The sounds of the crowd's chatter entirely vanished as he entered the backstreet where Stitch’s clinic was nestled.
The rest of the journey was only a few hundred meters and only required Conor to sidestep some used needles and shit; He also had to kick one homeless bum who tried to grab the girl out of the cover of his jacket. Usually, he would have just shot the piece of hreck shit, but with his hands full, a swift boot to the jaw got the message across.
With the bum limping away, broken jaw clutched in pain, Conor hammered on the metal door; its frame and the neon sign to its side quivered under his brute strength. Then began the worst part of dealing with Stitch, waiting for the asshole to open the door.
Conor waited until ten minutes had passed and received no answer. Then he punched the door harder, his metal hand denting the surface. Several seconds later, a heavily synthesized voice echoed out of the speakers hidden around the area—speakers that Conor had never been able to locate, no matter how fervently he tried.
“What do you want, Conor?” Stitch questioned. “Did you break more of your wiring?”
Conor sighed heavily, knowing Stitch had this entire block wired with multispectrum cameras and could see him a kilometer out. If this were a visit for his wiring, Stitch would know. The man was just being paranoid and wanted Conor to state his business.
“I got a girl I need you to check up on,” Conor said, pushing his jacket slightly open and letting the girl's ref scales shine.
“What another hooker pass out on a bad trip?” Stitch chuckled cruelly. “This is the fourth this month; you are getting soft merc.”
Rolling his eyes, Conor could admit he was softer than most of the other mercenaries and gangsters in the city's neutral sections. Having seen his fair share of how bad this city can be, Conor did his best not to fuck over those who were just down on bad times and were not trying to cause him issues.

He considered it his way of giving back and maybe finding Urka's good grace. Perhaps the god might forgive him for being a general piece of hreck shit if he continued to until he did. But he would not know until he finally kicked the bucket.
His intervention was a drop of clean water in the ocean of venom in this city. The other locals were more than willing to pick those he aided clean in minutes. They might as well be a swarm of bealit beatles eating carrion with how ravenous they were.
“It ain’t that. Just open the damn door,” Conor growled, punching the door again.
“Hold on, you greased-up cyborg,” Stitch frantically complained, worried that Conor would break his door again.
Conor smirked, glad the strange form of tolerance he and Stitch had built over the years was still strong. At this point, it was their modus operandi. Neither hated the other; no, they respected one another's role in this shithole.
Both toles put them in harm's way and brought them respect and infamy.
However, Conor found the way the denizens of Heavalun treated them funny. If you asked the average COS or GU citizen, who was more brutal: a mercenary with a pension for hyper-violence and little regard for collateral damage—-or a skeletal Itelv doctor who regularly performs life-saving surgery? They would choose Conor ten out of ten times. They did not know Stitch like Conor, Brakul, or most of the people in this city section.
They would tell you the truth of the good doctor.
They would weave you a tale of a greedy, crit-pinching asshole and that Stitch was the type of man who would stitch up for pay but would just as quickly harvest your organs for sale, or Urka forbid he would stick some experimental tech inside you and wait for your inevitable death to retrieve his property.
The door at long last opened with a vile hiss, and a gangly grey-skinned hand forced it open.
Stitch was just about as tall as Conor. But his thin grey limbs made him look one stiff breeze away from taking flight, with only his heavy artificial spider-like legs keeping him firmly on the planet.
Draped over his pencil-thin neck was a once-white apron. After years of use, it was stained with blood, oil, and hydraulic fluid.
“If she ain't one of your precious hookers, put her on the table. I will get my tool ready,” Stitch hissed, jamming his thumb over a shoulder.
“I ain’t selling this one to you either. Girlie got tagged by visage, and I need yah to treat her,” Conor replied, pushing past and laying the blonde on the recovery bed.
“You said she ain’t some hooker,” Stitch complained following, having gotten tired of Conor no longer bringing him fresh meat to sell.

“What is in it for me?” Stitch questioned, tapping a finger on a scalpel attached to his tool belt.
Conor sighed, realizing he should have expected this question, but he was not the broker of deals. That was Brakul’s schtick, and he was running late.
“You can take her jewelry and any credsticks you find on her. Alright?” Conor replied, knowing Brakul likely would have made a similar deal.
Stitch nodded and slinked closer to the woman. He lifted the necklace from her chest and carefully examined the jewels with a prudish eye any good businessman should have. After Stitch activated his magnified eyes, his cornea glowed gold, letting him see the atoms of the shiny trinket.
The doctor grinned cruelly, letting his crystalline teeth show proudly. The sight was unsettling and made Conor grip his pistol, fearing the doctor would flip his shit and decide it was not enough payment and try to cut the girl up.
But he did not start to slice her skin open. Instead, he sniggered nearly uncontrollably for a few moments, then spoke. “Yes, yes, yes. This will do just fine,” He sneered.
Conor was unsure what the jewels were, but they must be worth far more than he initially thought. For Urka's sake, Stitch was drooling on the necklace and the passed-out girl's chest.
“Good. So you will take care of her?” Conor questioned, needing to hear an assured answer.
Quickly slipping the jewelry into his pocket, Stitch looked back at Conor, his demeanor having done a complete one-eighty. “Of course, I always have room for paying customers.”
“Oh sweet, Conor, you handled the deal,” Brakul said, having just stepped in through the doors.
Why Brakul was allowed unfettered access to Stitch’s clinic and Conor was not something Conor had wondered for years but had accepted it as something to do with their role in the duo.
“Yeah, and he will watch the client. But we had yet to lay out the finer details,” Conor explained.
“Ah, no issue, I can take it from here,” Brakul replied.

The Obama years were the years of me finding out who I was as a man, and his presidency actually in a way helped me navigate that. At 17 years old, I literally identified as a nationalist, god fearing, gun toting American when I graduated High School. Then, since I was not in the South Carolina education system anymore, was able to form my own opinions based on my experience, and the experiences of others. For once in my life, with politics, I listened. Came out better for it. I ended up liking Obama, and understood Democratic policies more towards the end, and then when Trump ran, I voted for Hillary in 2016, and then for Biden in 2020. Bike runs great when it does but then outta no where I loose all throttle response. At idle rpm it’s perfectly fine but as soon as I blip the throttle it wants to die out. But if I let go of the throttle and return it to idle it will stay running. Around 1100-1500 rpm. Anything above that I dies out. A little background it’s a 1999 SS 900ie fuel injected 9100 miles. Replaced the fuel pump and connector because the pins kept pushing out, spark plugs air filter, oil change when I bought it about a month ago. It drove great for the first day and after that it went to shit. Now I just went to start the bike and move it outta the garage and I turned the key on, the pump primed, I leaned up and the kick stand has a really strong spring on it it slammed into the frame into the up position and when it did that I heard the pump prime again and again and again as I kept dropping the kick stand. My question here is that normal for that to happen when I let the kick stand go or is there a lose connecting shaking or relay going out causing it to happen? The bike doesn’t have a kick stand switch on it. Or is there something else I need to look at? My next replacement parts was gonna be fuel pressure regulator, injectors and coils/wires. And it’s due for timing belts and valve adjustment at 10k miles. Before I spend the money on belts and valve adjustment I’d like to get this thing reliable enough to drive 20 minutes and not have to worry about needing a tow home. Any input would be appreciated and thank you in advance |

Issue #1: Player interaction with PLD lacks depthPlayers interact with PLD by playing the game and completing Operations. On paper this sounds wonderful, right? Player actions have a direct impact on the metagame every mission they complete! However, when not enough players join a Defend mission early on, we quickly run into the main limitation of PLD - Completing operations is the ONLY way players can influence a PLD result.Whenever bots have a huge advantage over players, there's no longer any point playing on that planet until the timer ends as the mission is effectively lost. Unless the entire player base converges on a single planet there's no realistic means of overcoming the deficit. Would you go out of your way to save a failing Defence mission, or just play what you find fun? Issue #2: Liberating and losing planets is inconsequentialRemember when the entire community came together to defeat the Bots for a grand total of 1 day? Realistically the bots were always going to come back as AHG wasn't about to lock down half the game just for roleplay.Sure we might succeed or fail a MO, but who cares if we do?  | I recently removed the alternatostator cover to replace the clutch pushrod. I did not mess with the rotor or stator at all. I just put a new gasket on and closed it back up. submitted by Great-Ad4472 to motorcycles [link] [comments] Now when I attempt to start the engine it’s like the rotor gets ‘stuck’ halfway through the cycle. I put a socket on it and I’m able to manually rotate it but feel the resistance of the compression stroke. The battery is fully charged. Could this just be the starter failing? Or something happening internally with the rotostator? Or possibly I stretched or crimped one of the wires leading to the stator? |
