2024.05.22 01:08 chewieset2112 Tried to sell me inventory when I changed color

I ordered a MYLR red on white and induction wheels. 2 days later couldn't stop thinking about quicksilver. I went down to the delivery center to stare and compare. While I was there a guy took delivery of my same spec with silver. Loved it, had to change. Online edits were not allowed. Went to sales center to get help. I explain I just want to change color from red to qs. No VIN or delivery date yet. Right out of the gate he tells me for MY you can't custom order qs you have to buy one in inventory that is already qs (???). He pulls up 2 MYs in qs that are ready for pickup now. I tell him online ordering lets you build one with qs and shows a May-June estimate delivery. He tries it himself on the website and chooses RWD. "See, it doesn't let you pick qs". I tell him it's not on RWD you have to pick AWD or Perf (LOL). He chooses AWD then it allows qs. He then asks what interior, I tell him white. "Ohhhh, you can't do qs and white interior (LOL again). I then tell him I just came from delivery center and saw a guy take delivery on MYLR with white interior and qs. He doesn't respond. Calls an "order expert" and helps him make the change in the system. In the end he was helpful in getting it done and it wasn't a nasty exchange between us or anything. Not sure though if he was really trying to push one from inventory with the b.s. or if he just didn't know what he was talking about.

2024.05.22 01:07 Extremely_Livid_Swan The day I got my unregistered Sims 4 packs back in game

This isn't a troubleshooting question but I thought I'd put this on Reddit because, lol, there was tears and then maniacal laughter.
Three months ago I bought a bunch of packs, I know, a bit silly, but I saved up for it and there was a good sale going on plus my EA Play discount I get with gamepass. Packs worked totally fine, no issue. I played for hours and then boom, the update releases and all my newly bought packs will not register in game at all.
It showed owned and downloaded, but no in-game content would reflect I kept getting "Requires Sims 4 base game ect" as an error
I removed my mods, I deleted save files (goodbye legacy sims) - cleared cache and reinstalled the game 5 times. Nothing. So I figured the update broke the thing (I mean it is buggy as hell anyway) so I uninstall it and leave it, until yesterday I figured I'll give it a go one more time before I make my way to the dreaded EA Help center and ask for a refund (I didn't want to but geesh, if I can't play I can't play). I tried so many things, even scoured Reddit. I couldn't find a resolution to my issue.
Two frustrating customer support chats later where I'm ignored that I already tried all the FAQ suggestions and Reddit options I decide to try one more thing. I check my extra internal hardrive I don't use anymore in my pc, and find a Sims 4 folder and behold, even though it was never set to install there, all the packs plus the digital deluxe upgrade were installed on the that drive and not my main.
Ya'll all I had to do was move them from there to the actual install folder. Maybe it was me somehow, but it was a journey.
Anyway! Just thought I would share. Going to decorate everything with plants now cause of the Blooming Rooms Kit.

2024.05.22 00:45 NippleBlades07 Don't stand over the mechanic's shoulder.

Dude was so close to me, he was literally stepping on my toes. It took everything in me to not throw my tools on the ground and tell the guy go the fuck home and do it himself. I was struggling with the tire machine to mount his "new" tires. Just got a new attachment, didn't have it fully dialed in.
For some unknown reason, the sales guys allowed him to not only be in the shop, not only backseat mechanic every fuckig move I made, but they didn't flinch when he put his hands in the no-no zone of the tire machine.
Like I told the customer: we don't allow that because we're LIABLE FOR IT. If your ape hand gets pinched, guess who gets to deal with it? Us! One of the big reasons I even work on cars is cause I can't fucking stand customers, especially in the automotive industry. We're a dealership, there's a tire shop a mile down the road..
The fact that our sales guys even approved this as I was elbow deep in a project that would've been done if not for this guy just pisses me off, like use common sense, we are NOT a service shop, this being one of the many reasons, like fuck off.
Now boss man is all pissy cause I struggled, acting like I didn't ace hundreds of tire mounts in the past, talking about "don't touch the tire machine until I'm around" motherfucker I mounted yours, and your wife's tires. Fuck this customer. As if today wasn't shitty enough already, I get a wise-ass dropped on me in the last hour of the day, looking up YouTube videos and shit while I'm trying to get shit done. Fuck today.

2024.05.22 00:33 Numerous-Ad3785 How Does Your Company Handle Clients from Hell?

Somewhat of a throwaway account - I made a (now deleted) post about how there's been a lot of challenges in my role organization/process-wise, but thankfully that's gotten a lot better since I posted due to new team leads and a re-organization of roles and responsibilities.
But now, a new challenge has emerged - a client from literal hell. And I mean FROM HELL. In my career working various customer-facing roles, I have never, ever encountered a client like this. They have burned through 2 CSMs, and are now in my lap since I've gotten the reputation of the "Miracle Worker" since I've had 3 difficult clients change their tune before. But NOTHING those previously difficult clients did ever rivaled what I'm facing now. TLDR - they are unhappy with every single thing (and vocally complain about it in an un-constructive manner) have burned through every single resource post-project launch, e-mail every person they can get their hands on with a huge list of complaints, and expect to be catered to directly (ex. have a dedicated person from every single team just to address their needs and bugs they encounter) even though our company is at scale and much larger than where we used to be. For the amount of resources and time we've thrown at them in the past year, they always complain about how we're not doing enough despite the manpower and work we've done to try and appease them with every strategy we have in our play book.
So my question is - how do I try to even convince the Sales team (in our structure, we partner with them but they mainly handle contract/renewal/upsell/etc.) and our Leadership teams that they truly aren't a good fit, and to cut them loose from the contract? Selfishly I (and many others) just want to be done with them, but after working with them, this client really isn't a good fit for our products and I think we've given enough time for them to figure that out. HELP!!

Hi, I am curious... am I making a mistake arranging to see a car, regarding rust, from the following Carfax? I have lived in Virginia all my life around Shenandoah area, and I have never really thought about it. This is my first time buying a used car. If I'm reading it right, it looks like it spent its 30,000 mile life in NJ and RI. Thanks for any help you might have and suggestions. 2024.05.22 00:22 Bright-Travel-8481 Price adjustment experience (on the flip side)

PSA: Buy Aventon bikes at your own risk around holidays/potential sales. Apparently 13 days from date of delivery is too far out for a price adjustment because the purchase has to have been made within 14 days from the start of the promotion.
I tried getting a price adjustment for my bike that was delivered 13 days ago because the current price with the sale is $200 less than what I paid for. I placed the order around the last week of April but didn't get the bike delivered until 13 days ago. They said I was beyond the period for an adjustment.
Lucky for me and unlucky for Aventon, I haven't opened my bike yet cause I'm waiting for other accessories, so I should be able to make a return without a stocking fee. I mentioned the bike being unopened but it doesn't seem to have been a consideration.
Now I'm asking them to help me start the return process. As a matter of principle (maybe misguided rofl), if my shipping cost comes out at below $200, I will just do a return for a refund and buy another one at the discount.
I dunno, it seems dumb for me to have to go through this... and mostly just to stick it to them lol. It's only been 2 weeks since getting the bike delivered. This seems like basic customer service stuff to me these days and now I'm just ticked off enough to make a post about it on reddit and not pick up another Aventon for my brother from this sale. Maybe serves me right for not supporting local bike shops?
I also would've been even more out of luck if I had opened my bike, which funny enough you should actually do because you want to make sure it's all good within the 14 day refund window. I guess I'll have a small moral victory from being a dumb consumer and letting the bike sit in the box.

2024.05.22 00:16 Competitive_Phone332 What Do You Think Of My Pay Plan?

Hi all, as the title states - I am looking for feedback on my pay plan. I've worked at a large new and used Subaru dealer in MA for the past 2 years. Our current pay plan is as follows:
\ 100% commission based with some bonus opportunities from the dealer and manufacturer, no hourly/base pay **
Right now, just about every single car leaving the lot is a $200 mini... we are selling new cars below employee pricing, and I don't think I've hit 15 once so far this year - it's been very rough to say the least. We have no receptionist at our dealership, which means that us sales people are responsible for answering/redirecting all incoming phone calls, as well as taking messages for others. We are also responsible for stocking in new vehicles, snow removal, writing online car descriptions (that one is funny to me because it seems like a task more designated for the INT team, but who am I to decide that?), and so many more tasks that most other dealerships have other employees to take care of. I am feeling so much frustration because management has been promising us for more than 6 months that volume is expecting to be ramping up and it hasn't - if anything, it's been steadily slower and yet they have hired two new sales people (14 of us total now). I am only paid for the vehicle I sell and I feel the work here is not matching the compensation. Hell, even when the market was "great" I did not even clear $7,500 for a 5 week month delivering 18 cars.
I absolutely LOVE my coworkers, and I really do look up to my GSM and SM's - they have taught me so much and do so every day, however they aren't paying my bills. If things do not change NOW, I will lose everything my apartment, my car - it's not like I'm not putting in the hours and the hard work. My closing ratio is high and my surveys/reviews are excellent - the traffic is horrifically low, and its like another slap in the face blowing every deal out to a mini on top of it. I feel as though they are expecting sales people to take the hit and ride out the slow market, all while higher-ups are reaping volume bonus incentives.
I guess my question here is: what is your pay plan like? what are your thoughts on mine? can you give me any advice? thank you in advance for reading all of this, and I really do appreciate any and all feedback. wishing you all a busy and prosperous May!

2024.05.22 00:06 micheal_pippen “Incognito Market” Owner Arrested for Operating One of the Largest Illegal Narcotics Marketplaces on the Internet

“Incognito Market” Owner Arrested for Operating One of the Largest Illegal Narcotics Marketplaces on the Internet
This mothefucka is cooked. Incognito was one of the big boys on the darkweb. I never really used it much but had an account for awhile. If you were selling or buying from them we recommend you clean up your traces.
Rui-Siang Lin Used the Identity of “Pharoah” to Operate Incognito Market, Which Sold More Than $100M of Illegal Narcotics to Customers Around the World
Rui-Siang Lin, also known as Ruisiang Lin, 林睿庠, Pharoah, and faro, 23, of Taiwan, was arrested today in connection with his operation and ownership of “Incognito Market,” an online dark web narcotics marketplace that enabled its users to buy and sell illegal narcotics anonymously around the world. Lin was arrested at John F. Kennedy Airport on May 18, and will be presented in Manhattan federal court before U.S. Magistrate Judge Willis later today.
“Drug traffickers who think they can operate outside the law on the dark web are wrong,” said Attorney General Merrick B. Garland. “As alleged, Rui-Siang Lin was the architect of Incognito, a $100 million dark web scheme to traffic deadly drugs to the United States and around the world. The long arm of the law extends to the dark web, and we will bring to justice those who try to hide their crimes there.”
As alleged in the complaint and the indictment, Incognito Market was an online narcotics bazaar that existed on the dark web. Incognito Market formed in October 2020. Since that time, and through its closing in March, Incognito Market sold more than $100 million of narcotics — including hundreds of kilograms of cocaine and methamphetamines. Incognito Market was available globally to anyone with internet access and could be accessed using the Tor web browser on the “dark web” or “darknet.” Lin operated the Incognito market under the online pseudonym “Pharoah” or “faro.” As “Pharoah” — the leader of Incognito market — Lin supervised all of its operations, including its employees, vendors, and customers, and had ultimate decision-making authority over every aspect of the multimillion-dollar operation.
“As alleged, Rui-Siang Lin operated a sophisticated and dangerous online narcotics marketplace through which he profited millions of dollars at the community’s expense,” said U.S. Attorney Damian Williams for the Southern District of New York. “The dedicated prosecutors from the Southern District of New York and our law enforcement partners will pursue criminal actors regardless of whether they operate on street corners or in the dark corners of the internet. The so-called ‘dark web’ is not a safe haven for those who seek to break the law.”
“For nearly four years, Rui-Siang Lin allegedly operated ‘Incognito Market,’ one of the largest online platforms for narcotics sales, conducting $100 million in illicit narcotics transactions and reaped millions of dollars in personal profits,” said Assistant Director in Charge James Smith of the FBI New York Field Office. “Under the promise of anonymity, Lin’s alleged operation offered the purchase of lethal drugs and fraudulent prescription medication on a global scale. The FBI is committed to targeting and dismantling all criminal enterprises, especially those whose leaders distribute illegal substances on the dark web.”
“As alleged, Rui-Siang Lin’s brazen operation resulted in the illicit sale of over $100 million in narcotics, including those that were mislabeled and later found to include deadly fentanyl,” said Special Agent in Charge Ivan J. Arvelo of Homeland Security Investigations (HSI) New York. “The defendant’s greed and disregard for others was further demonstrated by his alleged extortion attempt during the platform’s final days. The El Dorado Task Force’s Darkweb and Cryptocurrency Task Force leverages cutting-edge techniques to target even the Internet’s most savvy criminals. HSI New York, in coordination with law enforcement partners, remains resolute in its commitment to protecting the public from individuals utilizing dangerous means to make a profit.”
“The arrest of ‘Incognito Market’ owner Rui-Siang Lin is a result of the continued working relationship the DEA has with our law enforcement partners in targeting individuals who use the dark web as a marketplace to promote the sale of illicit narcotics,” said Special Agent in Charge Frank A. Tarentino III of the Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA)’s New York Division. “Mr. Lin’s alleged actions of putting profits before public health were not only reckless and dangerous, but unconscionable. We will continue to make sure those who hide behind a keyboard and use the dark web to profit off lives face justice.”
“The FDA is committed to continuing its work to disrupt and dismantle the illegal sales of drugs on the dark web, where such sales far too often have tragic consequences,” said Special Agent in Charge Charles Grinstead of the Food and Drug Administration’s Office of Criminal Investigations (FDA-OCI) Kansas City Field Office. “We will continue to monitor, investigate, and bring to justice those who misuse the internet in a quest for profits with reckless disregard for the risk to public health and safety.”
“This arrest underscores the dedicated, ongoing efforts of law enforcement to identify and dismantle illicit drug networks operating from every shadowy recess of the marketplace,” said Commissioner Edward A. Caban of the New York Police Department (NYPD). “I commend our NYPD investigators and all of our state and federal partners for their unwavering commitment to public safety.”
Incognito Market was designed to foster seamless narcotics transactions across the internet and across the world and incorporated many features of legitimate e-commerce sites such as branding, advertising, and customer service. Upon visiting the site, users were met by a splash page and graphic interface, which is picture below:
https://preview.redd.it/8drkg58tqu1d1.png?width=624&format=png&auto=webp&s=c0cbec6731907f37812f45ca0ec4122445b5d995
After logging in with a unique username and password, users were able to search thousands of listings for narcotics of their choice. Incognito Market sold illegal narcotics and misbranded prescription medication, including, heroin, cocaine, LSD, MDMA, oxycodone, methamphetamines, ketamine, and alprazolam. An example of listings on Incognito market is below:

https://preview.redd.it/5c549kg1ru1d1.png?width=624&format=png&auto=webp&s=0292200ad4851e20832997586f1c270c842ae0c8
Listings included offerings of prescription medication that was advertised as being authentic but was not. For example, in November 2023, an undercover law enforcement agent received several tablets that purported to be oxycodone, which were purchased on Incognito Market. Testing on those tablets revealed that they were not authentic oxycodone at all and were, in fact, fentanyl pills.
Each listing on Incognito Market was sold by a particular vendor. To become an Incognito Market vendor, each vendor was required to register with the site and pay an admission fee. In exchange for listing and selling narcotics as a vendor on Incognito Market, each vendor paid 5% of the purchase price of every narcotic sold to Incognito Market. That revenue funded Incognito Market’s operations, including paying “employee” salaries and for computer servers. Lin collected millions of dollars of profits from Incognito. To facilitate these financial transactions, Incognito Market had its own “bank,” which allowed its users to deposit cryptocurrency on the site into their own “bank accounts.” After a narcotics transaction was completed, cryptocurrency from the buyer’s “bank account” was transferred to the seller’s “bank account,” less the 5% fee that Incognito collected. The bank enabled buyers and sellers to stay anonymous from each other. The bank’s graphic interface is picture below:

https://preview.redd.it/5geh77heru1d1.png?width=398&format=png&auto=webp&s=454cbec17a02083f40d7186882bfc215b81ff63f
If convicted, Lin faces a mandatory minimum penalty of life in prison for engaging in a continuing criminal enterprise; a maximum penalty of life in prison for narcotics conspiracy; a maximum penalty of 20 years in prison for money laundering; and a maximum penalty of five years in prison for conspiracy to sell adulterated and misbranded medication. A federal district court judge will determine any sentence after considering the U.S. Sentencing Guidelines and other statutory factors.
The FBI, HSI, DEA, FDA-OCI, and NYPD investigated the case.
Assistant U.S. Attorneys Ryan B. Finkel and Nicholas Chiuchiolo for the Southern District of New York are prosecuting the case.
This effort is part of an Organized Crime Drug Enforcement Task Forces (OCDETF) operation. OCDETF identifies, disrupts, and dismantles the highest-level criminal organizations that threaten the United States using a prosecutor-led, intelligence-drive, multi-agency approach. Additional information about the OCDETF Program can be found at www.justice.gov/OCDETF.
An indictment is merely an allegation. All defendants are presumed innocent until proven guilty beyond a reasonable doubt in a court of law.

2024.05.22 00:00 dudeitsgoshwashbans Turned down for SaaS AEX role; offered Services Rep position - any thoughts?

My background: I've got 4 years of sales experience, 1 as an inside sales rep, 1 as an AM and 2 (my last position) as an Account Executive. Each year I was an AEX, I was a Presidents Club attendee. I was laid off last spring and took a non-sales job working as a technical business process consultant for a former customer.
So, I just interviewed for an AEX role at a SaaS company; thought I had it in the bag but they hired someone with more years of experience and existing customer contacts in the territory (it made sense to me) - but the VP apparently really liked me and wanted to find a way to get me at the company, so the recruiter offered me a fast-track interview for a Field Services Sales Representative position.
When I was an AEX, I sold both Software and Services - pretty much as a package deal but also team sold the services with a Solution Consultant who generated some opps.
My recruiter made a note that my previous Services quota was higher than my software quota and I was a consistent over-achiever so I'd be perfect for this role.
I'm curious to know if anyone out there is a services-only seller and what your experience is like? I know this is a bit abstract...I've yet to interview with the manager so I can't really get a feel just yet for where this position sits within the team. To me, it seems like a more glorified inside-sales rep focused on services upsells.

2024.05.21 23:58 Jim-Panzy Quick question about stolen, then sold items.

So, this has been eating away at the last few remaining braincells I have left for months, (the good news is that I should be a vegetable by noon tomorrow. yay!) ever since my account was “hacked”… I use quotes because I really don’t think they had to do much to get in. 2 point verification must mean that steam gives you 2 “rad points” for signing up, allowing them to treat your account like a house that has a “free candy” bucket on halloween… because it sure as sugar doesn’t stop theives!
Let me get to the freakin point before I start ranting about something else unrelated!
What is the actual reasoning that steam gives for not reimbursing items that are stolen/traded/sold? **To be double clear, I’m not asking what the BS con artist line they feed us is when it happens, I’m basically asking what legal loophole do they use, or how can they get away without reimbursement when
A. I actually have one account (out of who knows how many involved) who was in on the theft without a doubt! Because they showed up in my friends list right before it happened, and I literally don’t accept friends I don’t know in real life… there are 3 legit people there!!! (worst case scenario, the items are digital, so they can just copy/paste)
B. the account buying has at least a 50/50 chance of being in on the theft. How could they set up a sale for items they didn’t yet have, yet sell them all within a few minutes of getting into my account?
C. So to explain above, I happened to catch my theives in real time, and there is absolutely nothing you can do to as far as contacting someone - customer service doesn’t exist, nor is there any “emergency freeze” for your account should you notice anything happening (I spammed the shiz outta them with whatever button I could find that even resembled “help”, which I think stopped a lot more loss!)
So to sum it up, I’d say there’s an insane amount of negligence on their part, and I think for over 10 years I did about as good as one could to prevent anyone in, yet it happened! Has nobody ever called the better business bureau, or tried a class action with this? Because it’s mind blowing that these con artists are #1 with how little thought they put behind 90% of their actions, and never address the most important things like security, but will sink lord knows how much money into …a store facelift?!?! Are you pulling my wang-jobber?!
I’m getting just as enraged now as when it happened, someone has to have a worse story than this, but I don’t know if I should hear about it?
Help Dear Abby!!!

2024.05.21 23:57 BalticBro2021 CMV: You should not have to show your membership card to enter Costco

I believe Costco's policy of having to show your membership card at the entrance completely redundant. I understand it's a store requiring a membership to shop in, but in order to purchase anything, you need a membership card which they scan while checking out. If I don't have a card, I can't buy anything. Some states prohibit membership alcohol sales, and in those states, you can just say you're going to buy alcohol and they'll let you in, and you'll also be able to make your purchase.
Requiring people to show their card at the entrance also deters potential new customers. In fact, the main thing that contributed to my decision to get a membership was sneaking in one day to see what they had for sale and at what prices. If I had not seen what they had for sale, I probably wouldn't have gotten a membership as $50 is fairly expensive for that type of gamble.
I fail to see what purpose Costco's entrance policy has on their business model. Looking at Costco's main competitor Sam's Club, it only checks your membership when you check out, as well as a receipt check at the door like Costco. I find both stores to be similarly run, with similarly sized crowds on busy days.
If there's some glaring reason then please, change my view, but other than that I find the policy redundant.

Sorry for the noob question but not sure how to do this. I have a three column data source where column A is the measure Sales Quantity, then column B is the customer name and column C the quantity amount. At the minute the data looks like this

Column A Column B Column C
Sales Qty Customer A 5
Customer B 10
Customer C 8
And so on. I want to do a Sumif formula on the data but to do that I need the description Sales Qty to be repeated against each line how do I get the description to be repeated against each line so its there when I automatically refresh the table and I'm not having to paste special blanks each time. Thanks in advance for your help

2024.05.21 23:54 newenglandtypewriter New Typewriter Shop (Coming Fall 2024!)

Coming Fall 2024!

Nearly four years ago (Sep-2020), I began an apprenticeship at Cambridge Typewriter Co. (CTC), under legendary repairman Tom Furrier, that would come to define my life until only recently. As Tom’s chosen successor, I was over the moon to be taking CTC into the future, having already banked 1,000+ refurbished typewriters (repairs, sales, and even Hollywood props) and learned the finer points of customer service. Unfortunately, between the costs of purchasing the shop, providing necessary upgrades/modernizations, and leasing Boston-area commercial space (all the while having enough money left over for the day-to-day operations of running the business), I could not afford to acquire CTC without a bank loan. As Tom’s apprentice, and not his employee, my journey into learning the trade was funded by my extremely supportive and loving wife, who, as sole breadwinner during my entire apprenticeship, I couldn’t ask to shoulder yet another financial burden, i.e. today’s interest rates, just so I could pursue my dream of purchasing the shop.

My exit from CTC shocked both Tom and myself. On my last day, he asked what I planned to do. Considering how much we had saved to purchase CTC, I told him my wife and I hoped to begin a self-funded venture in southern New Hampshire, nearer to home, within 6-12 months. (The 80+ miles of cumulative, daily commute to/from CTC was draining.) While saddened by my departure, Tom agreed my strategy was sound and gave me his blessing, although he admitted he would try to find a replacement buyer, which I agreed was fair, as CTC is his legacy and should not be wholly dependent upon my involvement moving forward—and Tom deserves a well-earned and long-overdue retirement after decades spent maintaining the business.

Shaking hands, we parted ways.

Since then, it’s been a whirlwind of material acquisitions (hundreds of typewriters!), legal approvals, and commercial contracts, but I’m proud to announce the future opening of New England Typewriter, LLC (NET). Located minutes from the MA border in sales-tax-free New Hampshire, NET will be a self-funded typewriter shop, easily accessible from Boston/Worcester, MA; Nashua/Manchester, NH; Kittery, ME; and the entire North Shore region, without the pesky congestion of city traffic. We are also a reasonable drive from Vermont, Connecticut, and Rhode Island. Apart from providing quality, affordable typewriter repair and sales, our goal is to promote a thriving typewriter community within the New England area through type-ins, outreach, and other such events.

Thank you, Tom, for your tutelage!

Thank you to my wife for her love and support (and Happy 15th Wedding Anniversary, by the way)!

Thank you, everyone, for your time and attention!

Follow us on Facebook, Instagram, and our website (under construction) to support a small business!

“Log off the ‘net…with NET!”

2024.05.21 23:49 PirateGaming Electric Utility Refuses to Reimburse For Excess Solar

We have a solar lease @ $0.14/KWh. Every KWh generated, we must pay this rate even if we do not use it.
We are supposed to have rights to this electricity. An excerpt from the agreement with our Solar provider:
3(a) Sale of Electricity. Starting on the In-Service Date, we will sell to you all electricity produced by the System, as measured in kilowatt-hours (the “Energy”), at the Energy Price (shown to the right Æ), plus applicable taxes. [...] (c) Other than the Energy, you have no rights to the System or the System Interests [...]
My understanding from the agreement is that the electricity is sold to ME and I own/have rights to the electricity generated by the solar system.
The electric utility, Central Hudson (CenHud), accumulates this is as credit on our bill via NET metering. So every period, we receive a bill which has their utility service charge of ~$40, and 0 KWh consumed. The NET metering section shows the change in our KWh balance and our current KWh balance: like so. This is ballpark ~$2000 for two years of service. This means I net generate ~$1000 worth of electricity for CenHud yearly that I pay for out of pocket.
I spoke with them over the phone on two occasions and they confirmed that I will never be reimbursed for the existing/remain NET metering balance in any way (even if I close my account!) EXCEPT as a credit to zero-out my usage for that period with them. So if in the winter I use 900Kwh of electricity in a period, it will deduct that from my NET metering balance before charging me utility electric rates.
Here is an excerpt from their FAQ: (which links to a document "163.5.13" in New York State)
[...] If at the time of anniversary, your account has excess generation from the preceding 12 month period, you will receive a payment. [...] For systems installed after March 9, 2017, credits are applied to the next billing period. For more information, please visit: http://documents.dps.ny.gov/public/Common/ViewDoc.aspx?DocRefId=%7B5B69628E-2928-44A9-B83E-65CEA7326428%7D
Do I have any legal grounds to demand I be reimbursed for excess solar generation?
EDIT: If you search for "163.5.18" in google with the quotes, the third link will be a "ORDER APPROVING TARIFF AMENDMENTS" , the bottom of the third page reads:
The proposed tariff amendments do not eliminate the annual payments due to customer-generators that have produced excess electricity at the end of the year or annualized period with a value of less than $100.00; it would simply replace a physical check with a bill credit.
Sounds to me like if the value of excess electricity is >$100 they still should give me a check for it.

2024.05.21 23:36 TheMarketingNerd How to sell more with 0 sales calls:

I can’t BELIEVE I used to spend 4-10+ hours a week on sales calls 🥴
That’s like… An entire day of my week, at times, just speaking to people who AREN’T paying me.
… AND I was making extremely time consuming custom proposals on top of that 😅
Your life should never foot the bill for your business.
Work to live, don’t live to work.
For me, that means:
NOT spending time on tire kickers…
NOT being a slave to making hundreds of posts on social media…
NOT being chained to my desk with 15+ hours of sales calls and custom proposals per week…
I was sick of being chained to my desk for all these sales calls, so I decided to take my destiny into my own hands -
And I quickly found I needed 2 critical things:

1) Find a method to get new leads that DIDN’T involve me buying coffee, lunch, or putting my personal 1:1 time into finding them…

2) A simple, painless, online process to reach those ideal clients and enroll them into the offer…

Here’s what I did:

1) Find a method to get new leads that DIDN’T involve me buying coffee, lunch, or putting my personal 1:1 time into finding them…

After 100s of hours of researching the solution to my stuck sales, I realized that the LIFEBLOOD of all businesses boils down to the same 3 parts:
🙋 Acquire Leads 💸 Bag Clients 🔁 Continue Leveling-Up Clients
That’s when I had my priceless epiphany:
I didn’t have a LEADS PROBLEM…
I was spending all this time on these calls, after all…
That’s when I realized I had a SALES PROBLEM.

2) A simple, painless, online process to reach those ideal clients and enroll them into the offer…

Understanding that I had a SALES PROBLEM allowed me to fix the root of my stagnant growth.
Everything changed for me when I built these 3 sales systems for my business:
After doing this:
Amazingly, I noticed I wasn’t hustling like I was before on my “usual” grind…
To my surprise, in just a few days I already had serious buyers reaching out to me and asking how they could work with me!
… And it was actually easier than what I was doing before!
And the MAJOR difference was eliminating all the complexity and friction from my sales process 💯
If your sales growth stalled like mine did, the fastest way to break free from your plateau is:
Take YOURSELF out of the way.
That’s the freedom that building hands-free sales systems gives you.
Want to learn how to build those systems for yourself?
Here’s some good news:
This isn’t just working for me. I’ve helped my clients sell over $12,000,000 of their coaching, courses, memberships, books, events, and more by following these same steps…
If you’re ready to break through your own revenue plateau, and finally “delete” sales calls off your calendar:
I just wrote a 42-page report where I broke down step-by-step EXACTLY how and what my client did to hit her 1st $100,000 month WITH 0 SALES CALLS using this same method…
So if you want to steal what’s in this case study...
I'd love to show you how you can do this too 💜

2024.05.21 23:26 z1nonly0542 Help choosing a prebuilt board (Piantor, Chocofi, Elora)

Hey everyone,
I've been lurking here for a while, waiting and looking at all of the options before I pick up my first ergo board. I'm currently stuck between the Elora, Piantor Pro, and Chocofi. I'm hoping this post helps me pick one.
For context, my journey so far has been as follows:
Now I'm a bit stuck here, trying to pick between the three boards. I've never used a split ergo keyboard, so I have no idea what I like or what to expect.
The first decision to make is wired or wireless.
I like wired for its reliability and lower latency than wireless. I plan on using the board for gaming occasionally, so the low latency is better for that.
However, I often move between my desktop PC and MacBook, and I'd ideally like to be able to use the board on both computers. Wireless would make it a lot easier to a) carry the boards around and b) switch quickly between my PC and MacBook.
Wireless also increases cost and decreases my choices of boards, so I'm leaning more towards wired, even if I have to plug things in to use my board on my laptop when I'm out.
Assuming I go wired, the options I've been looking at are:
Elora:
Piantor Pro:
Chocofi:
I'd love some insight or suggestions for choosing between wired/wireless and between the three board options (or another one, if you have one). If you need any more information, I'd be happy to provide it. Thanks!
