Real Madrid could’ve repeated a treble the season before, but Rodrygo’s penalty miss and PSG’s subsequent win (with Valverde and Mbappé) in the final ended that dream. Still, a double was nothing to be ashamed for, and they had to lose a Champions League final sometime, right?
They were out for revenge in @@@’s third season. They started the league with 7 straight wins, and 12 games unbeaten with just 2 goals conceded, until their 0-1 loss in el Derby. They couldn’t bounce back and tied against Real Betis at home. It became the first time in two years the club had to chase a lead in the league against Barcelona. On the 30th of November, they win the Clasico 3-0, bringing the 1st place within 2 pts - and showing to the world that they were still stronger than Barça, who were managed by Marcelo Gallardo.
All of that chasing in the league, led the club to sacrifice their chances at a seeded qualification in the CL league phase, and it is a win in the last game against Copenhagen in January that barely makes them qualify for the play-offs, in which they comfortably beat Salzburg. In the round of 16 they would face Barcelona.
January - March
A lot happened in January. Real Madrid win the super cup against Barcelona, but it is their business off the pitch that draws all attention this time. Vinicius, after handing in his transfer request in the prior season, which he later dropped together with Rodrygo, is approached by PSG and the club decided it has had enough. Vinicius is shown the door, midseason. City wanted Bellingham, whom the club couldn’t convince to stay, and they decided to let Güler take the front foot and let the Englishman go as well.
Real Madrid won every league game until the 28th of february, where they tied 2-2 against Las Palmas away. Perhaps with that tie, everything came crashing down. In the last 7 weeks, the team had played 17 games, while losing Vinicius and Bellingham in two transfers (and others on injury, such as Brahim (for a couple of months), Miguel Gutierrez, and their star, who played through his discomfort, Endrick).
Real Madrid showed signs of fatigue when they lost 0-1 against Barça in the first leg of the Spanish Cup semi-final, but it was in the round of 16 in the Champions League at home vs Barça that Real Madrid died. A 1-1 at half time became a 1-5 with the final whistle. They lost the next game against Rayo in the league, which they sacrificed to try a ‘remontada’, in which they were brutally put down 4-0 in el Camp Nou. Hopes at a comeback in the Spanish Cup were also quickly put down: 2-0 for Barça.

It was a 1-1 that did give Real Madrid the H2H, but kept them at the mercy of Barcelona, who had a game in hand, of dropping points.
Barça lost their game in hand against Valencia, and tied the following match against La Real, which put Real Madrid 2 pts in front. With two games to go, Real Madrid brutally put down Almeria 9-0 while Barça barely won against Alaves with 0-1. And so, Real Madrid would have the last laugh. All it takes in football, however, is one bad day, and Real Madrid decided to have one against a Celta that had won 5 games in a row. It became 2-0 in Balaídos, while Barça, essentially mocking Real Madrid’s 9-0 in the prior round, won 7-0 when it actually mattered.
Post-season
@@@, who had been given a 4-year contract by Florentino in the prior season after his outstanding work, was called in the new president’s office, Jaume Grau, under whom he won only the new club world cup and the Spanish super cup. Asked for explanations, he explained that the departures of Vinicius and Bellingham, the subsequent injuries and the amount of matches just destroyed his season - but the board didn’t accept that. @@@, in a case of hubris, declared that they wouldn’t find anyone better than him, not knowing that they had already agreed a deal with Klopp, who had been on a hiatus after his time at Liverpool, and so @@@ was sacked. In truth, @@@ had been living on borrowed time, and it was the 4-year contract that Florentino handed him just before stepping down that protected him, perhaps knowing that the new board was all too keen on hiring Klopp.
@@@ left through the back door, even though he was the first manager to complete a treble for Real Madrid. He wanted to ‘build something’. His signings, young as they were, and his involvement with the B team(s) proved that he was determined to stay for the long-term. But what was supposed to be a Ferguson became a Mourinho. Conflicts with players (Ceballos, Vinicius, Rodrygo, Bellingham) overshadowed his third season and losing against a Barcelona with Ansu Fati, Ivan Toney and Ferran Torres up front, while having Endrick, Rodrygo and Güler just proved that there wasn’t any more gas left in the tank.
Klopp came in, and won a double - winning the league on the last match day. Like @@@, he lost the CL final against PSG, who had now done a threepeat - Real Madrid’s greatest achievement of the prior decade. Real Madrid got their rematch of the 24/25 final, and they lost it. A lot can be said about @@@, but while Vinicius and Bellingham dropped their team midseason, he always stood in front, whether they had just lifted the Champions League or lost 1-9 on aggregate vs Barça - he was there, defending his colours.

REPORTER: How did Pashinyan respond?
KHZMALYAN: He suggested the meeting be held in a closed format so I can't reveal all details. We hope that our voice, our offer, our demand, was heard. If we do not receive a positive response, we will take measures by employing the same methods currently used by anti-European forces [the ongoing protests led by pro-Russian ex-regime]. We will take to the streets and demand a referendum for Eurointegration if necessary.
REPORTER: How long are you ready to wait before taking action?
KHZMALYAN: A few months. Georgia will hold parliamentary elections in October, and Moldova will hold a similar Eurointegration referendum - also in October. The U.S. will hold presidential elections in November which will be important for Armenia's future. Even if the worst scenario unfolds in all three countries, Armenia must stand firm and not take a step back. Armenia could become the leader in democracy in all of Eastern Europe if you consider the situation in Georgia, Hungary, and Slovakia [pro-Russia populist leader]. Armenia could receive an unprecedented level of assistance from Europe under those circumstances.
REPORTER: Did Pashinyan say he plans to leave CSTO?
KHZMALYAN: We did not demand specific dates but we urged him to complete all these processes this year, preferably by November.
REPORTER: Did Pashinyan agree?
KHZMALYAN: The participants of the meeting are under the impression that we were able to present convincing arguments but time will show what actions he takes. The government functions very poorly but nevertheless, they are doing something, they are taking steps.
REPORTER: On May 9, Bagrat Galstanyan gave Pashinyan 1 hour to resign but it's May 21 and he is still here. Why wasn't the opposition able to remove him?
KHZMALYAN: The 3 former presidents and their surrogate forces, backed by 30 years of power, were unable to bring forward a figurehead, a single ideology, that could win the hearts of the people. They used various political technologies, they switched between black and white robes, and they extended the 1 hour to 7 days, but none of that helped because the Armenian people hate them more than they hate Nikol Pashinyan.
REPORTER: You used to be a lot harsher on Pashinyan but something appears to have changed in your tone after your recent meeting with him. What is the reason?
KHZMALYAN: We were able to present our demands and the timelines to accomplish them. Unlike the archbishop and the former regimes surrounding him, we did not give "one hour" for Pashinyan to accept our demands; we did not make ultimatums. We believe the current government is carrying out and will carry out the will of the people to overcome the status of a Russian colony and join the ranks of free nations. We did and do see steps [taken by the government] towards this; we cannot ignore this. We saw the Strassbourg, but also Moscow. We saw the [April 5 meeting in] Brussels, but also [the recent meeting between FMs in] Almaty. We are told this is an attempt to "balance" and we understand where they are coming from, but our factions speak on behalf of over 60% of Armenians who view Russia's policies as deadly for Armenia. We expect concrete actions and we have formed a platform to continue this work; there will be petitions and other actions from us. We are ready to assist Pashinyan, who may be constrained due to ongoing negotiations, by being the public voice and saying the things he cannot say. We will continue to work, to pressure, to influence, to demand. Our meetings also continue abroad. We will press on until we reach our goal - the Eurointegration of Armenia. //

REPORTER: ... the "holy movement", by calling it a "pagan" movement. What is the ruling party's stance and do you discuss this internally?
ALEXANYAN: Of course we do, although I don't think Kocharyan's decision to name this movement "holy" is helping them. It's comical.
REPORTER: Do you have proof that Bagrat srbazan is [tied with Kocharyan]?
ALEXANYAN: Bagrat Galstanyan is surrounded by the entire political team of Robert Koharyan, he was a member of Kocharyan's 2022 protests and gave similar speeches he gives today, he received a praise from Russian propagandists, and he was named by a Russian propagandist Aram Gabrielyanov as a potential candidate for a new protest movement just a few months prior to these events, so it's beyond reasonable doubt that Bagrat Galstanyan is part of Kocharyan's team.
REPORTER: You were earlier accusing Galstanyan of being a Russian agent, and now Kocharyan's agent?
ALEXANYAN: Same thing.
REPORTER: The opposition gathered many thousands of supporters on May 9. What does the size of the crowd indicate?
ALEXANYAN: It was similar to Kocharyan's final rally before the 2021 elections. And?
REPORTER: The opposition created a video of "Pashinyan's lies" and broken promises. Will you respond?
ALEXANYAN: The clip itself is a lie and manipulation. For example, one of the supposed lies was Pashinyan's promise of an amnesty for overdue fines and penalties. You are a journalist, you tell me, was there an amnesty or not?
REPORTER: Pashinyan had also said that POWs could wait "just a few more months" and that he wouldn't "sacrifice Armenia's sovereignty" in exchange for bringing them back sooner. Why aren't they back?
ALEXANYAN: Dozens of POWs returned home in December, and efforts continue to bring back the rest. Literally 1-2 days before the POWs' return, the opposition claimed that the POWs were "forgotten" by the government. "Ոչ մի բան չեք անում:"
REPORTER: What about the Nagorno-Karabakh leadership?
ALEXANYAN: There are efforts to return them as well.
REPORTER: Why did the police form a wall to block entry to village Kirants [for nonresidents]?
ALEXANYAN: I think the NSS said they had to take action to prevent interference with the border work. From what I can tell, the protest leader himself went there yesterday and returned only 15 minutes later so there wasn't a big desire to stay there apparently.
REPORTER: They plan to hold a big rally on May 26 where they might nominate Bagrat srbazan as the PM's candidate to replace Pashinyan.
ALEXANYAN: Why not go straight for [alleged narco baron] Mihran Poghosyan [who publicly praised the protests]?
REPORTER: There appears to be a consensus around Bagrat srbazan after a meeting between several forces.
ALEXANYAN: Consensus minus one, where "minus one" is the people. Or to be more precise, "minus two", because the Constitution also prohibits Bagrat from serving as a prime minister. Congratulations on an initiative that's dead on arrival. It's absurd. They suggested replacing the Constitution to allow a dual citizen to serve as PM. Okay... To get Canadian citizenship you have to take an oath to serve the best interests of Canada. To allow dual citizens to serve as PM in Armenia we have to accept for the PM to have loyalty towards another state. The alternative is for the candidate [Bagrat] to admit that his word [oath to Canada] wasn't worth a dime. Երևի մատերը խաչ արած ա երդվել։
REPORTER: But don't you think you are manipulating because Galstanyan received Canadian citizenship just to be able to serve in the church in Canada? He didn't go there to live or conduct business.
ALEXANYAN: It doesn't matter why he went to Canada. He is a citizen of Canada and took an oath. Even religious leaders with dual citizenship cannot become prime ministers. I don't have an issue with him being a dual citizen, but it limits his office options. He still hasn't renounced his Canadian citizenship even after all these talks about a possible nomination.
REPORTER: Galstanyan said he is ready to renounce it as soon as there is a need for it.
ALEXANYAN: In other words, he seeks "guarantees" that he will be the candidate in order to renounce it?

BAGRAT: We have 19th-century churches that were forcefully confiscated and turned into ruins. The properties of the Armenian church must be returned to the church. The area of Moscow Cinema belongs to the church, half of the Katoghike Church was demolished and belongs to the church, and part of the items in Matenadaran were taken away from the church. Instead of threatening us with taxes, they must think about how they plan to return our properties, fully renovated and ready for service.

Can you explain why you didn't mention that Khachaturyan served on the board of directors and later as the president of the board at George Soros's Armenia-based Open Society Foundations? How will this record impact his work at CC?
JUDICIARY REP: I presented parts of his professional activities available on the court's public platforms. You can ask the candidate directly.
OPPOSITION MP: The Soros Foundation publicly listed him as a member so I don't understand why it's being hidden now. In your opinion, how will his work at the Soros Foundation affect his impartiality?
JUDICIARY REP: The majority of judges chose him and it's up to Parliament whether to confirm or reject.
RULING MP: Was the voting held in a closed session or can you see how each judge voted?
JUDICIARY REP: It's a closed format. My duty here is to present the candidate. [basically, leave me alone I'm just doing my job]
RULING MP: Why not make the court voting and internal discussions more transparent for the public to see so we will have fewer conspiracy theories on why one judge was preferred over the other?
JUDICIARY REP: I share the view that it needs to be as public as possible but the majority of judges voted to keep the session closed to the press.
RULING MP: Just because the discussions and the vote were behind closed doors that doesn't mean it was anti-democratic, but still, it's better to publicize the process. We hope to see a change in this approach.
JUDICIARY REP: The ballot casting will always be secret and I think that's the right approach in order to allow judges to express themselves without constraints, but I agree that the discussions and speeches should be public. Either way whatever we discuss behind closed doors always reaches the press so in practice there isn't really a major transparency issue there.
CANDIDATE KHACHATURYAN: First, every part of my biography has always been public and part of public discussions. Second, I have always voted in favor of making internal discussions open to the press; it's the best way to avoid incorrect assumptions. Full speech here.
OPPOSITION MP: Congratulations. The ruling party intends to approve your candidacy just as they voted for you in the past for other positions. In all of those instances, you didn't mention your work at the Сорос Foundation. Armenia could become the leader in democracy in all of Eastern Europe if you consider the situation in Georgia, Hungary, and Slovakia [pro-Russia populist leader]. Armenia could receive an unprecedented level of assistance from Europe under those circumstances.
REPORTER: Did Pashinyan say he plans to leave CSTO?
KHZMALYAN: We did not demand specific dates but we urged him to complete all these processes this year, preferably by November.

KHZMALYAN: The participants of the meeting are under the impression that we were able to present convincing arguments but time will show what actions he takes. The government functions very poorly but nevertheless, they are doing something, they are taking steps.
REPORTER: On May 9, Bagrat Galstanyan gave Pashinyan 1 hour to resign but it's May 21 and he is still here. Why wasn't the opposition able to remove him?
KHZMALYAN: The 3 former presidents and their surrogate forces, backed by 30 years of power, were unable to bring forward a figurehead, a single ideology, that could win the hearts of the people. They used various political technologies, they switched between black and white robes, and they extended the 1 hour to 7 days, but none of that helped because the Armenian people hate them more than they hate Nikol Pashinyan.
REPORTER: You used to be a lot harsher on Pashinyan but something appears to have changed in your tone after your recent meeting with him. What is the reason?
KHZMALYAN: We were able to present our demands and the timelines to accomplish them. Unlike the archbishop and the former regimes surrounding him, we did not give "one hour" for Pashinyan to accept our demands; we did not make ultimatums. We believe the current government is carrying out and will carry out the will of the people to overcome the status of a Russian colony and join the ranks of free nations. We did and do see steps [taken by the government] towards this; we cannot ignore this. We saw the Strassbourg, but also Moscow. We saw the [April 5 meeting in] Brussels, but also [the recent meeting between FMs in] Almaty. We are told this is an attempt to "balance" and we understand where they are coming from, but our factions speak on behalf of over 60% of Armenians who view Russia's policies as deadly for Armenia. We expect concrete actions and we have formed a platform to continue this work; there will be petitions and other actions from us. We are ready to assist Pashinyan, who may be constrained due to ongoing negotiations, by being the public voice and saying the things he cannot say. We will continue to work, to pressure, to influence, to demand. Our meetings also continue abroad. We will press on until we reach our goal - the Eurointegration of Armenia. //

ALEXANYAN: The clip itself is a lie and manipulation. For example, one of the supposed lies was Pashinyan's promise of an amnesty for overdue fines and penalties. You are a journalist, you tell me, was there an amnesty or not?
REPORTER: Pashinyan had also said that POWs could wait "just a few more months" and that he wouldn't "sacrifice Armenia's sovereignty" in exchange for bringing them back sooner. Why aren't they back?
ALEXANYAN: Dozens of POWs returned home in December, and efforts continue to bring back the rest. Literally 1-2 days before the POWs' return, the opposition claimed that the POWs were "forgotten" by the government. "Ոչ մի բան չեք անում:"

REPORTER: They plan to hold a big rally on May 26 where they might nominate Bagrat srbazan as the PM's candidate to replace Pashinyan.
ALEXANYAN: Why not go straight for [alleged narco baron] Mihran Poghosyan [who publicly praised the protests]?
REPORTER: There appears to be a consensus around Bagrat srbazan after a meeting between several forces.
ALEXANYAN: Consensus minus one, where "minus one" is the people. Or to be more precise, "minus two", because the Constitution also prohibits Bagrat from serving as a prime minister. Congratulations on an initiative that's dead on arrival. It's absurd. They suggested replacing the Constitution to allow a dual citizen to serve as PM. Okay... To get Canadian citizenship you have to take an oath to serve the best interests of Canada. To allow dual citizens to serve as PM in Armenia we have to accept for the PM to have loyalty towards another state. The alternative is for the candidate [Bagrat] to admit that his word [oath to Canada] wasn't worth a dime. Երևի մատերը խաչ արած ա երդվել։
REPORTER: But don't you think you are manipulating because Galstanyan received Canadian citizenship just to be able to serve in the church in Canada? He didn't go there to live or conduct business.

I don't have an issue with him being a dual citizen, but it limits his office options. He still hasn't renounced his Canadian citizenship even after all these talks about a possible nomination.

I'm new to the game and trying to understand the mechanics of the sleep spell. On a failed save against the first level (non-heightened) version, enemies in a 5 foot burst become unconscious. So they are at -6 AC until they wake up (-4 status penalty from unconscious, -2 circumstance penalty from off-guard). In combat, their first opportunity to wake up seems to come either (1) when they take damage, or (2) at the start of their turn.
Loud noise around you might wake you. At the start of your turn, you automatically attempt a Perception check against the noise's DC (or the lowest DC if there is more than one noise), waking up if you succeed.
So the rest of the party gets to attack each sleeping enemy at -6 AC until they hit and do damage to that enemy, greatly increasing their chances of critical hits. Am I reading it wrong or is that correct?

Hey all, I figure I can provide some helpful guide for the US which I find always successful and useful to achieve global dominance to achieve a victory.
So, let’s get into why, then how.
Why : an easy way at capitulating the future problems and threats will ensure that your average player can figure out how combat works and all the intricate systems through victory. The biggest rivals at the moment include ; Russia, China, and their allies which is usually Iran, Syria, and North Korea.
How : to get started, you need to solve your economic issues, this is a stopper which prevents us from waging full scale war without suffering intense economic consequences and saves you from worse outcomes of the 2008 financial crisis, which is inevitable as the US.
First, get rid of the cartels, ensure Bush is elected and lower corruption to the minimum level. These three things ensure our victory. Electing Gore will result in minimal benefits, but we’re aiming at being able to tax citizens to keep up with costs of our military which also is paid for easier due to the benefits of Bush’s party in the code.
To get rid of the cartels, you need to keep clicking focuses to raid certain locations or capture people, it helps to time the end of the decision with the decisions which improve your chances of a successful raid, like military and police support, so be sure to select what you want to do, usually the highest chance of success decision, and pair that with whatever other decision of support to end at the same time.
At the same time, if possible, save political power and use it to lower corruption in the government screen, it takes a LOT of PP, so keep saving and you’ll be okay.
After the Cartel is done, Bush is elected (try to support him in the ideologies tab by also giving him a bit more support if you don’t believe he is going to win the election, a few times should help) and corruption is lowered, your economy should be much better!
Now, be sure to increase population tax in the screen for economy until you’re earning more than you’re losing. Last time I played I believe it was 30-40% pop tax.
War time!! - With that cleared out of the way, do NOT go down the focus tree for the “War on Terror”, this will result in heavy penalties with not a lot of benefit, usually you want to go down the middle where you get a lot of breathing room.
Declare war on Iraq, and send land and air volunteers to Afghanistan, and select the western puppet president when you win. Usually you want to send transport planes to Afghanistan, you do not get enough volunteers to send a decent air force, so this should suffice! I usually send one tank brigade (no need to make them, they are already created and deployed), and a special forces unit. If you don’t have enough room you can just send special forces, and let them chip away at the Taliban until you inevitably win.
Iraq is also easy, deploy a sufficient force of Marines, Special forces and tanks / infantry, I cannot remember the specific number, but roughly half of all of your units will be enough. Cover the area in air support and air superiority fighters and you will win within a year of declaring. Be sure to PUPPET Iraq so this raises world tension and allows you to be more war-mongery.
Next, the fun part begins. This is a long haul sometimes so be patient. Keep your influence on Ukraine and only Ukraine, it will eventually allow you to puppet Ukraine, which shares the biggest closest border with Russia, one of three major enemies. When your influence is high enough, more than 70 usually, keep pushing your political party on Ukraine, until it is over 60% I believe, then you can puppet Ukraine once your influence gains back what it loses from boosting ideology in Ukraine.
Once Ukraine is puppeted, station all or most of your army there. Use most of your mills to produce infantry goods, like Manpads, anti tank weapons, and IFVS. Also be sure to prioritize supply trucks. Planes are not insanely necessary, but keep a few mills on multirole and CAS planes, which you will lose fighting Russia.
Because Russia by the time you are done with this has provoked by attacking the donbass usually, you are free to declare war on them and make sure your offensive lines are aimed at the Ural mountains behind Moscow and at Kazakhstan, because they will continue fighting till then.
While this is all happening, keep building civs, they are the most cost-efficient building and get you the most income for your building.
After the war is over, puppet Russia, and that’s the strat, yep that’s it. In-between, a few funky things can happen, but are easy to deal with ; Iran declares war, Turkey attacks Syria. So be sure to use Iraq as a landing zone to attack them before Russia on some runs, and your game will go much smoother. China is pretty easy after, as well, you can station all your troops on north China and push.

The game opens with constant gunfire and artillery shells bursting, the sound of men yelling as gunfire stifles the darkness of the night. We focus in on a platoon of troops in a foxhole, like lightning a shell hits close to, wiping out most of the men. As the ringing of the remaining ears clear they realize they need to retreat as they can no longer stay in the tight, cramped, flooded hole they've found themselves in and the only way back is up.
Every player must roll a d10, the player with the lowest role finds a piece of wood stuck within their leg, not bleeding but obstructing the ability to run without help, the players decide to deal with the issue there and then or deal with assisting the injured player in the retreat to try and fix it in a safer location.
As the players leave the foxhole a machine gun fire begins to target the group
Triggers a sequence
Flairs shoot lighting up the battlefield as you hear a whistle from the enemy blows They're crossing no man's land.
This sequence where the players must make a 200-250yd dash for a trench behind the foxhole.
Players take priority in turn rotation
-a critical success allows them to run uninhibited
-a regular success causes equipment to get snagged on barbed wire causing them to get slowed
-a failure causes you pouches or bags to rip dropping a small amount of ammunition
-a critical failure causes you to get cut by barbed wire dealing 1d4 damage
Players carrying injured role with penalty die
On the machine guns turn roll to full auto at players but role with triple penalty dice due to multiple shots, out of range, and fast targets. You can decide volley size and damage per shot, BE NICE it's just the beginning
Once all players have made it across no mans land they will arrive at the door of a rather large bunker, they bang on the door and request assistance. After a bit of pleas a slot on the large door opens with a bun barrel sticking out. A rather shooken young man asks the players to tell him “where are you from” clearly trying to see if the players are enemies. A player can say anything but the second the man hears perfect english or french he swings open the door. The players see a young man with a shotgun, couldnt be over 20 years old. He commands the players to get in fast. As all the players enter he immediately goes to slam the door shut seeming to struggle to do so.
You meet Bert Newman a strapping young man from new york a very charming quick witted kid, he's always there to boost morale and is always ready to get work done. Its best to slowly show off his personality with small talk while he leads you down the winding halls.
After a few turns and twists you arrive at a sort of check point with a man with a british bren gun points his barrel down the hall, directly at Bert and the players.
You meet Rook a very large man sporting a very clean uniform, he seems concerned and Isn't too welcoming to the new residents, hes a harsh with his words, and presents himself as no nonsense, he does have a soft spot for Bert, able to handle his constant cracks and stories. I recommend making some dialogue for them to have every now and then to show their relationship.
After the players are done interacting have rook notice the player with the injury if it hasnt been taken care of he’ll direct the players to go to the infirmary to get fixed up. Have Bert offer to show them where to go. On the way to the infirmary try to keep engaging with the players as Bert
As the players arrive they will notice a large room with a few injured men, a very poor sight to behold. Once you arrive at the entrance you will meet a beautiful young lady dressed in a nurses gown
This is Louise, say hi to Louise :D. A pretty woman with a caring face, but with a hint of concern and fear.
She welcomes you and immediately notices the protruding fragments sticking out of the injured player, she looks back up and tells them to take a seat. The players can interact with Bert more, with each other, or Louise. Try to have Bert and Louise interact if you can, they are great friends.
After the player is patched up they can leave. They can follow Bert back to rook where Rook will give you the task to retrieve barbed wire from the armory as they want to start adding more defenses for the door incase of being invaded. Bert will again offer to guide the players
You begin your journey to the armory, once again try to interact if you can, mention what could have brought Bert to the war and his family. At a certain point Bert will trip a grenade wire trap, everyone roles a dex or dodge role. Bert is killed in the blast anyplayer that fails gets knocked to prone, you can determine if they were close enough to take damage. After all the dust clears the players see Bert's body slumped against a wall lifeless,they can't save him. If the players decide to search him they will find a mostly burnt map of the bunker, some ammo for a shotgun and a letter addressed to what you can assume is his family.
If the players continue to go and retrieve the barbed wire they will get a chance to change their weapons if they choose. As they return they notice Bert’s body is now gone, with a blood trail leading around an separate hallway

Early TLP Min-Max Race Choice.
First off know that Starting stats are pretty low impact, generally if you're broke on a new server dumping points into Strength so you can carry a lot of vendor loot is more helpful than anything else. If you're gonna be able to afford weightless bags early and wear your armor without being overloaded then you can afford to worry about Int, Wis, Stamina, Agil, and Dex. Int and Wis early on are more impactful for classes that use mana than any other stat they can get.One exception is Charisma. On any toon where you are going to be pulling a ton with Lull/Pacify it will save you from criitcal failures (pacify resists that actually agro the mob.) It is suprisingly very high impact in reducing critical lull failures. Probably the most high impact starting stat overall, but only applies to lull pullers. Also helps you get better prices from vendors so dovetails nicely with the strength meta.
Stamina is more HP which is always great and very early on it's a tough stat to get on gear whereas lots of gear has strength on it from the start. The downside is that at low levels it doesn't give much HP but it does improve as you level.
Dex and Agil are the lowest impact early on, unless your agil is so low (<75) that you take an AC penalty.
Racial innate abilities don't mean much for most classes. Some are particulary low impact. A few are nice-to-haves. But a few are pretty impactful. And since eventually you're going to be capped on every stat picking that erudite for higher starting Int will be completely worthless whereas your Dark Elf "Hide" skill won't be.
Major Abilities:
Ogre frontal stun immunity is definitely the highest impact racial ability and generally if your class can be an Ogre he probably should be.
Halflings are the only race to get the Sneak ability. Occasionally very useful for instant indifferent faction with any NPC and sometimes even for actually sneaking past mobs! Really nice for classes that don't get invis, like clerics, warriors and later paladins.
Iksars get a bonus to AC and Regen. The Regen is actually very impactful for Necros early on and more AC is always nice for any class but less valuable for tanks than ogre stun immunity.
Halflings, Wood Elves and Dark Elves all get the Hide ability. Useful for AFK'ing as it's an unlimited duration invis as long as you don't move.
Wood Elves and High Elves have the best origin point early game due to access to 1) the most popular early leveling zones, 2) the Nexus Spires during Luclin and 3) PoK Books that are very close to Kelethin and Felwithe.
Once Frogloks are available they are generally the best Origin point for any class they can be.
Only Gnomes can do the Tinkering Tradeskill so you have to be a gnome if you want to do Tinkering.
Ogres, Trolls and Barbarians all get the ability "Slam", doesn't do much but it's an extra attack with a tiny amount of damage and chance to interupt casters.
Wood Elves and Iksars get the Racial ability to Forage. Slightly useful for Iksars spending a lot of time in lands without access to merchants.
Innoruuk Troll Shaman, Innoruuk Human Clerics, and Innoruuk Dark Elf Clerics can do a simple quest to get a clicky with unlimited charges of the lowest necro/sk snare.
Trolls get racial regen like Iksar which is kinda nice for regenning back health from Cannibalize but combined with the Snare Clicky makes them a reasonable second choice for Shamans after Ogres. The Regen has Negligible impact for WaSk unless you're soloing a lot which is trash exp on official servers compared to grouping.
Small races like Gnome, Halfling, and Dwarf also have an advantage in that you typically don't need to worry about getting a shrink clicky or pots.
Class by Class:
Bard - Low impact. Wood Elves best Origin Point.Beastlord - Ogre for frontal stun immunity or Iksar for AC Bonus.
Berserker - Ogre for frontal stun immunity.
Cleric - Halfling for Hide and Sneak. Dark Elf for Hide and easy Snare Clicky Quest. (Must Choose Innoruuk)
Druid - Halfling for Hide and Sneak.
Enchanter - Dark Elf for Hide or other for preferred Origin point.
Magician - Dark Elf for Hide or other for preferred Origin point.
Monk - Iksar for AC and Regen. (Humans are Cooler though and get better origin points and faction.)
Necromancer - Iksar for Regen. Initially high impact but eventually meaningless as you get raid gear.
Paladin - Low impact except Halfling (if avail) for Hide and Sneak. High Elf for best origin point. Dwarf for best starting stats.
Ranger - Low impact. Wood Elves best Origin Point.
Rogue - Low impact. Wood Elves best Origin Point. Gnome so you don't feel bad about not having a Mask of Tinkering.
Shadowknight - High Impact. Ogre for frontal stun immunity or distant second Iksar for AC Bonus.
Shaman - Ogre for frontal stun immunity or Iksar for AC Bonus and Regen or Troll for regen and easy Snare Clicky Quest. (Must Choose Innoruuk)
Warrior - High Impact. Ogre for frontal stun immunity or distant second Iksar for AC Bonus.
Wizard - Dark Elf for Hide or Gnome for Tinkering, The only class that Doesn't suffer from Dark Elf's terrible origin points.
tl:dr
If you can be an ogre be an ogre. (Unless you're a shaman and really want regen and the ability to snare mobs with the worst snare in the game, then be an Innoruuk Troll.)Pally, Cleric, Druid. Halflings get sneak and hide.
Dark Elf Int Casters get hide at the cost of a crappy Origin point.
Dark Elf Innoruuk Clerics get Hide and Snare clicky neck at the cost of a crappy Origin point. (Human Innoruuk Clerics can get the clicky Neck too with less terrible origin point and faction.)
Necros benefit a lot from Iksar Regen for a long time.
Wizards should be Dark Elves.
Origin points:
GFay and Felwithe are the best early on and stay really good. Easy access to main early level dungeons, closest possible Luclin Spires, PoK Book in same zone as Kelethin and another PoK book right near Felwithe. Also BB docks are one zone away for quick access to Firionia Vie and Freeport areas.Second best during classic/kunark is probably Freeport for access to EC tunnel and the docks to BB in Freeport and OT in Oasis and improves in Velious cause of N Ro Docks to Iceclad. Takes a Hit in Luclin cause of no Nexus Spires but there's plenty of Druids and Wizards in Commons to buy a port from.
Nothing changes much in Luclin except Erudites get access to a nearby Set of Luclin Spires.
Once PoP drops it's all about how far you have to run and whether you need to zone to get to the PoK Books.
Froglok Village in Rathe Mountains, Wood Elves in GFay, North Qeynos Classes, and West Freeport Classes all have a PoK book in the same zone as their Origin point and are pretty much the best Origin points.Lots of others are slightly worse but still above average, like Fewlithe Clerics and Paladins do have to zone once but it's a very short run to the zone line and the Pok book is very closeby outside.
Most others are like a medium run and zoning once, kind of annoying but not a huge deal. Like Rivervale, Cabilis East. Felwithe Int casters have to zone twice but both are very short runs.
The Worst is Basically anything in Neriak but especially third gate like Necros and SK's because they have to zone 3 times and then it's still a long run to the PoK book once you're in Nektulous. A close runner up is West Cabilis, zoning twice and running over canals with crap hanging overhead to get stuck on. 3rd worst is probably Ak'Anon, just feels like forever getting to the zone out and then you still have a way to go to get to the PoK book.
There are a bunch of others that also require zoning more than once or just annoying cities to navigate like Paineel, Erudin, and most guild halls that are in the deeper parts of a multi zone city. Surefall is a zone-twice situation with a bit of a run but at least it's a straight line you can autorun and the Druid port is right inside the zone.So if you care a lot about Origin Points that have a PoK book in the same zone:

Once he started the whole "save the villains" plotline, I feel there was no satisfying conclusion that wouldn't divided the fanbase.
Considering the country that's Japan, even if the villains pleaded guilty, they'd still get the death penalty I assume or put in solitary confinement. But that means there's only one other option... the villains die. Which makes it feel like the heroes just failed at their goals.
Which is why I feel like the only satisfying option for Shigarak's ending would be the reveal he transfered some quirk to Deku before dying and will live on as a vestige.
The whole point of Endeavor's storyline was he wasn't seeking forgiveness but atonement. It's clear Natsuo won't forgive him. So where will Dabi's story end up? The family saved him physically but him forgiving them will just feel forced at this point after he literally went, "I was kinda hoping Natsuo would get killed!"
Whether Toga lives or dies, people are already divided. If she lives, it's another cheap fake-out and chapter 395 was just a waste. If she dies, then Ochaco basically failed in her mission.
And then there's Shiggy... after expressing his desire to be a hero to the other villains, AFO who already had bodyjacked him most of the manga, returns and goes, "HA! I planned your entire life! You never had a chance of escaping me!" None of this is even acknowledged, not even AFO stealing his OG quirk. Shiggy just returns, destroys AFO and has 2 pages of closure.
The whole theme of society created him? Nope, it was AFO, Deku says, "It's already been destroyed", implying it was only him who needed destruction (nvm the people who ignored the homeless child).
The friends he wanted to be a hero for? They're either brain dead, a literal skeleton or dead. So saving them was for nothing essentially.
It was basically a lose-lose for Hori. Either an unrealistic ending where the villains live or they die but the heroes' efforts feel wasted.

JEF United Chiba were not charitable though as they won 2-1 after Yuya Yamagishi got himself sent off 16 minutes in. My cries of 'Get stuck in' taken too literally.
Due to the way the Japanese league and cups are played July only saw us playing 2 Emperor's Cup games and nothing else. Ryotaro Nakamura revived our 2 goal lead in the 13th minute before Vegalta scored a penalty in the 26th minute then equalised in the 50th. Komai restored our lead in minute 72 and Teppei Yachida extended it, meaning with 5 minutes to go we were 5-3 up. Unfortunately Vegalta Sendai didn't like the idea of us winning and with goals in minutes 90+2 and 90+5 we went to extra time. We scored after a minute, Toru Hayashi (great name by the way) got us off to a good start before, once again, we conceded our lead. However, after minute 109 Shoma Otoizumi put us ahead and this time it stuck. We finally pushed ourselves into the 4th round with a 7-6 win. I needed a holiday.
We then easily got past Kashiwa Reysol in the 4th round with a 4-1 win. We then went on a 6 game unbeaten run in the league with only 1 draw as we found our form. Our first loss in that run was a 3-1 defeat to Kashiwa Reysol, enacting a measure of revenge for the Emperor's cup drubbing. that does make it 5-4 on aggregate over those 2 games, so who's the real winner? After that loss, with only 7 games in the league remaining we went undefeated, a few draws were thrown in there, including 3 in a row to end the season meant we ended up in 9th place an excellent result considering I had taken over in mid-June in the relegation zone.
But what of the Emperor's cup? Well, We hit the semi-finals against FC Tokyo, and we hit them hard. Winning 5-1 Komai scoring 2 more and earning himself the nickname Komai Can't Communicate (But he can score) Eventual J1 champions Vissel Kobe awaited us in the semi finals. Komai and friends once again showed what they're about and fired us to a 4-0 win setting up my first chance at a cup final and a place in the Japan National Stadium against Hokkaido Consadole Sapporo. We have a sales forecast. It is based on previous years' sales and other information. Every single day every employee logs into a computer and the landing page states the daily progress to the goal. Managers are constantly emailing their subordinates pushing them to use the sales techniques they want us to use to improve our KPIs (key performance indicators if you're lucky enough to not know this term).
Real-time sales data has made this an obsession for some of the higher-ups at the local level. Their bonus is tied into ours. The whole store gets it or no one does, including managers.
This brings us to the sales gap: each day that your sales are lower than expected, your sales gap grows. And each day that passes, you run out of chances to close the gap. Eventually, it becomes mathematically impossible.
When this occurs early enough in the annual cycle, people see the writing on the wall and leave the company. Why burn yourself out helping a company desperately close a gap to sales forecast when you know there's nothing in it for you?
If Loblaws is like my store, they are sweating. They come in every day and see a growing gap. They're just waiting until corporate comes in and tells them what the consequences of that are: no bonuses for employees (dividends for shareholders though!), non-bargained benefits reduced or eliminated, reductions in hours, and higher expectations on management to keep it all running despite the austerity. Capital projects and improvements delayed. Financial penalties at the store budget level. You name it, they'll do it to save their bonus.
No matter what they say, a month of decreased sales was not projected. They will not revise forecasts. They will punish local employees, but especially local management. Then they will punish communities by allowing their stores to fall into (further) disrepair.

I'm looking for tips and advice about what to do about my tax situation. I have been using the same tax preparer for 9 years and have never had something like this happen before. I moved across the country last year and my tax preparer said they could and would be happy to do my filing this past year.
I submitted all of my documents they would need by April 1st but my preparer did not file my taxes until May 3. They did file for an extension but I was never told they did this or that they were being filed late and had to pay state penalties. This year, they did not set up a meeting or call time to go over my taxes with me, which I thought was strange but given the lack of communication and delay, I was just happy to have them done finally.
Last week I received a letter in the mail stating there was an error on my taxes and that I owed more to my previous state of residence. I also revieved a voter ID card issued from my previous state. I only lived and worked in this state for 3 months last year before moving. I started reading through all of the paperwork I had received from the preparer and it appears that they filed my taxes stating that I am still a resident of my previous state and they filed a tax credit for the income tax I made in my current state with my previous state. It also seems that they may have used a copy of my expired drivers license from a previous year since I never had a chance to speak with my preparer and submit a copy of my new drivers license.
My vehicles, drivers license, voter registration, professional licenses, and home are all listed in my new state that I've lived in for over a year now. I recently applied to a graduate school program and in-state tuition. I'm worried how this mistake will affect my eligibility for financial aid and in-state tuition, as well as my profesional licenses, job, etc.
I left 3 voicemail and 2 emails last week and finally spoke to the tax preparer's secretary yesterday and she said to send then the letter stating I owe more to the previous state and my current drivers license and they would see what can be done. I have not been able to speak to the tax preparer, I can only speak with the secretary which is extremely frustrating.

Issue #1: Player interaction with PLD lacks depthPlayers interact with PLD by playing the game and completing Operations. On paper this sounds wonderful, right? Player actions have a direct impact on the metagame every mission they complete! However, when not enough players join a Defend mission early on, we quickly run into the main limitation of PLD - Completing operations is the ONLY way players can influence a PLD result.Whenever bots have a huge advantage over players, there's no longer any point playing on that planet until the timer ends as the mission is effectively lost. Unless the entire player base converges on a single planet there's no realistic means of overcoming the deficit. Would you go out of your way to save a failing Defence mission, or just play what you find fun? Issue #2: Liberating and losing planets is inconsequentialRemember when the entire community came together to defeat the Bots for a grand total of 1 day? Realistically the bots were always going to come back as AHG wasn't about to lock down half the game just for roleplay.Sure we might succeed or fail a MO, but who cares if we do? There's no consequences for failing or succeeding a MO (Other than losing the medal rewards). For the current MO, why does it matter if we gain/lose the liberation buff rate when planetary liberation itself has no substance? If we liberate planets too quickly, there will just be another rigged MO to reset the map a few weeks down the line. Issue #3: The game lacks a proper endgame resource sinkMany PVE MMOs face endgame inflation woes over time, players generate too much in-game resources and need meaningful ways to spend them to keep them engaged.It's common for players to unlock all the requisitions they'd want when hitting Rank 40-60. Eventually, most high-ranked players will unlock all the stratagems, cosmetics, and primaries they'd want and have nothing left to spend their Samples/Medals/Requisitions on. Would losing a 45-Medal MO matter if you've unlocked everything you wanted? Possible Solution #1: Positive Planetary Modifiers for MO target planetsPlayers naturally want to play on planets they find fun, so why not introduce bonus modifiers only for MO target planets to incentivize players to dive there? It would give endgame players a reason to keep grinding Requisitions/Samples/Medals and create a shared community goal other than completing the MO. Some quick ideas could be: (Just making up some numbers and modifiers)
Possible Solution #3: Completing Major Orders unlocks temporary positive Planetary Modifiers.If there were more benefits to completing a MO, perhaps the community may be more incentivized to complete them. This is the same idea as Solution #1, but contingent on a successful MO. These temporary modifiers can always be reverted after a few days, or removed if the next MO fails.Some quick ideas:

- 13:20 Medal competition sponsored by Sea Me Now. Gun reads the rules. They will divide themselves into two teams. Each team will send two members to prepare "yum" (a type of Thai salad served at room temperature, often involving some kind of noodles like glass noodles) within 15 minutes, using the seafood from Sea Me Now. Meanwhile, the remaining 4 guys will wait in another room until the dishes are ready, and they will come and blindly taste the dishes and vote on which dish is better. Winning team gets one medal each.
- 16:00 PD asks the teams which member each thinks is the best cook in the team. Phuwin is the best of the left team, and the right-hand team are undecided between Gun and Khaotung. At 17:30 PD asks which member from each group is the worst at cooking. The guys start to figure out that PD is going to pair the best cook with the worst cook, so the right-hand team try to blag that Khaotung and Gun don't know how to cook that well after all. At 18:30, Neo is the only one who hasn't caught on to PD's plan, so he raises his hand to indicate that he's the worst cook on that team because he thinks it means he won't have to cook. Final cooking teams are Phuwin/Neo and Gun/Pond. The rest go to wait in the play zone.
- 21:00 Phuwin has only just realised that they are required to make "yum," which he doesn't know how to make. He mistakenly thought they could make whatever they wanted. Gun is also not confident.
- 23:00 Cooking timer begins. Both teams decide to use the salmon. Phuwin/Neo decide they're going to leave their salmon raw. Pond asks Gun if they're going to leave theirs raw too, and Phuwin accuses him of copying them. Gun decides they're going to lightly blanch their salmon.
- 28:00 Neo goes to look for a food processor. Gun asks if he can process enough chilis for both teams, and Neo initially jokingly declines, but then agrees.
- 30:15 Phuwin asks Neo to make the glass noodles. Neo isn't sure how to prepare them, and Phuwin guesses that they're supposed to just put them briefly in boiling water (which is correct)
- 31:30 We cut to the play zone where the tasting teams do a light brand plug for Sea Me Now. They teach Luke a new word that basically means "great." (I guess it's kind of like "sick" in English how the actual definition of the word is different, but it's slang when used in context). Mix is confident that Gun/Pond are going to make the better dish.
- 37:00 PD announces one minute remaining, and that "the customers are complaining." Gun/Pond finish with some time to spare and present their dish to the camera, but Phuwin/Neo finish a little late (but it's fine; there will be no penalty. PD just keeps rushing them to finish)

i know i'm young (19ftm) but it always nags at me in the back of my mind that no one will ever like me, let alone like me BACK, because my body will forever be incomplete. i'm all mixed on what i want my body to look like but i fully identify as male. i plan on getting top surgery, vocal training, facial structure changes, T, yes, but i don't wanna get phalloplasty. i never want to reproduce ever and i wish to have zero chance of getting pregnant no matter what, but i prefer keeping my vagina, despite the fact that i also hate it at the same time (periods) so i wonder if there's a middle ground.
being gay is hard enough considering that things like dating apps for gay guys are hornier than something i would wanna openly look for, but i also have a turbulent personality alongside having this weird desire to be softer (doing my nails, surrounding myself in cute plushies, caring for my skin and hair, buying flowery sweet scents, geeking out on hyperfixations, etc.) while also trying to be masculine (weightlifting, buying muskier scents, trying to frame my hair in a way that will make my face appear "manlier", having a super competitive nature, strictly wanting to be referred to as a man and with he/him pronouns and nothing else under any circumstances).
i'm no twink but i'm super short in a way that will never get me passed off as a cis man no matter how hard i try and my natural voice fucking sucks. its so high-pitched. my friends say otherwise but i know theyre trying to make me feel better because they're trans and know what the voice dysphoria feels like.
i just wish i were cis. i wish i could do all the things i want without people questioning my gender identity. i wish i could be complete so that someone will want me for who i am and what i love to do. being trans comes with unique euphorias, but alongside that it comes with unique pains. i hate those pains so much. i get the feeling that i will die alone with no one to hold or be held by all because my way of expressing my transness isn't typical.
i'm not nonbinary by any means but the way people talk about nbs and mock them and their expression of self affects me too. the way ppl in my general vicinity through the years in all the places ive lived in have always talked about trans people in a way that isn't the most respectful. usually its with this subtle air of disgust or judgement for their lifestyle choices or whatever. even a little bit of hostility (i.e. "i would disown my son if he said he was so prissy" and "just wait till this man finds out she has a dick" kinds of humor). it's even reached my own household in a younger sibling and no one and nothing can sway his opinion. hopefully one day he'll grow out of this but its concerning and scary.
i wish this sub had more trans people speaking too, but that asks for too much. the majority of people here are cishet asking cishet questions for cishet answers and that makes it so much harder to look for advice here :/ while i wanna say i wish more of yall were like me, yall definitely dont wanna be like me lol

- Formally invite the landlord for an apartment check before moving out. If he ignores us, we will take videos and photos before leaving. (He did not provide us with video, photos, or a list of items when we moved in, but we did take a video ourselves at that time.)
- Our lawyer friend also advised us to threaten to withhold the last month’s rent to get a response from him. However, I am wary of this because I don't want it to be used against us.
