I'm selling my 22-inch Dell monitor. 1920x1080 resolution, 60Hz refresh rate, TN LED panel, low glare, great as an extra display to get stuff done. Comes with VGA and DVI connectivity, and I'll throw in an HDMI to VGA adapter (plus VGA cable and power cable, obviously).
Selling for 4800/- + shipping or pickup from Mulund West, Mumbai. Price negotiable within reason.
(If you're worried about what looks like banding on the display, don't worry -- that's a camera artifact. The display works perfectly.)

2024.05.21 09:55 Copy-Available PC cannot display anything

I just finished building my pc, with all the cables connected. When i tried my first boot, my pc powers on but there is no display on my monitor. The motherboard lights shine from yellow DRAM > red CPU > white VGA, then it stops and keeps shining the white light. The bios light on top of the white VGA light up a very dim yellow light. Any idea why my pc isnt displaying anything? The HDMI cable is connected to the GPU. I also tried repeating every cable.

2024.05.21 09:10 ExampleIll6464 Colour inaccuracies computer to phone

Hey there. The colours of my photos look completely different on my computer compared to my phone. Checking this by going to Google and finding identical images, I found the colours look completely different on my computer, looking a lot more washed out. Thus when I get an edit I like on my computer, importing it to my phone it looks super saturated and just weird.
My current approach is apply general stuff in lightroom on my computer that's hard to do on my phone, then send it to my phone to make the final colour corrections on a way more accurate screen. However this is very time consuming and frustrating. I know the correct thing would be to invest in a good monitor with great colour, but I'm on a tight budget as I'm just a hobbiest and already splashed out a lot for a camera
My monitor is as Asus VC239H IPS, currently connected using VGA. Has anyone got any suggestions, my current idea is to stream my computer screen to my phone so I can see the colours in real time, but I'm sure that the act of streaming it would make the colours somewhat inaccurate anyway. Thanks everyone!

2024.05.21 05:31 WhereAreMyJordans Display issues

VGA not working
My mom has a really old windows PC she got in 2008. For the last day, the screen has been bugging out. I turn the computer on, the screen has a pop up that shows that VGA connection is active and selected as default. It goes through the normal startup screen (windows logo, etc) once it gets to the point where it would show the Lock Screen, the screen turns black and it just shows the mouse cursor the tiny loading sign next to it. It won’t change , even after hours. I have bought a new vga cable, unplugged everything and plugged it back it in, and completely shut down the pc. It’s still not working. Is there a way to fix it?

2024.05.21 02:22 NNickers02 Help getting PC to display to monitor

Hi all, hoping for some help getting to the bottom of what's become quite a mystery to me. Up until the last few days, my system was running perfectly; that was until I tilted the monitor, ever since, it's been showing the same "no signal" message. Additionally, midway through my troubleshooting, there were a couple complications. I think after reseating my GPU, the motherboard began flashing the VGA EZdebug light. Also, after one of the GPU reseats, one of the retaining clips for the GPU slot became loose/floppy where before it was firm & clicky. Now, upon restart, the EZdebug light goes from CPU, to VGA, to BOOT.
Troubleshooting steps I've taken so far:
Made sure correct input is selected
Checked and ensured all cable connections are secure
Made sure HDMI is plugged into GPU jack rather than motherboard
Using a different HDMI device (amazon firestick) on the monitor, screen works
Connected PC to TV via HDMI, didn't detect
Reseated GPU
Reseated RAM
Reconfigured RAM to the opposite two slots, and to 1x stick in the first slot
Removed GPU entirely and plugged HDMI into motherboard
Used new HDMI cable
Used new PCIe cabe
Throughout all of that, I can't get the system to show anything on the monitor. Here's my parts list:
MSI B550 MPG Gaming Carbon WiFi AMD AM4 ATX Mobo
AMD Ryzen 5 5600X Vermeer 3.7GHZ
PowerColor AMD Radeon RX 6700 XT
G.Skill Ripjaws V 16GB (2 x 8GB) DDR4- 3200 PC4-25600
Samsung 980 SSD 500GB M.2 NVME Interface PCle 3.0 x4 Internal SSD
LG Ultragear 27GL83A-B.AUS 27" 2K WQHD (2560 x 1440) 144HZ Gaming Monitor
EVGA SuperNOVA 750 GT psu
Also apologies for posting this days in a row, and apologies for any bad formatting. Obviously, I'm posting on mobile which I'm not accustomed to.

2024.05.20 22:30 DeliciousTax1193 Monitor to monitor? Monitor to computer? Tried googling cant get a solid answer!

Hi everyone, first post here.
I'm a graphic designer but I also do some gaming. I have a Macbook, Mini PC, and Nintendo switch. Originally I had one monitor connected via HDMI to a 3 day HDMI switcher to use the monitor with all 3 devices.
I have recently gotten a second monitor which can be easily connected to my Macbook using a USB Type-C Hub (Thats how my keyboard is connected to it). However I'd like to use both monitors connected to my Mini PC, which only has one HDMI port (connected to the switcher with the main monitor). Attached is a diagram of the current connection.
MAIN display also has Display Port and VGA port. New Display has a VGA port.
My real question is; Can I connect the two monitors together, so if I use the switcher it will switch the two monitors together? I am no real genius about this so the answer my be very obvious to those who are knowledgeable. I tried googling and the answer wasn't clear, I likely was using improper verbiage. SOS
I am aware of the janky-ness of this. Any suggestions to upgrade would be appreciated!
Thank you in advance to the community for your help!

2024.05.20 20:38 downboat SEGA saved Nvidia in 1996

https://www.tomshardware.com/tech-industry/nvidia-nearly-went-out-of-business-in-1996-trying-to-make-segas-dreamcast-gpu-instead-sega-americas-ceo-offered-the-company-a-dollar5-million-lifeline
I think SEGA made a huge impact in technology with the Dreamcast, worth remembering.
Not only saved Nvidia, but also parts of the Dreamcast technology outlived the console. SuperH 16bit instruction set influenced ARM Thumb mode and MIPS16. The PowerVR GPU is still alive today, and was used in iPhones until iPhone 7. After the Dreamcast, including an ethernet connection became standard in home consoles. It popularized online gaming. The Mapple bus is very similar to USB, and let's not forget about the VMU, unique even today.
It could be said that the Dreamcast combination of a RISC CPU and a GPU like the PowerVR 2 is a modern architecture, except not UMA and SH instruction set being a bit weird. It was the first console to support DirectX (and Windows CE). I think it was the second console with a MMU and the first with vector instructions (SIMD). Was it the first console with native VGA output too?
Yet, many gamers I talk with IRL don't know anything about it. So sad.
To me, the Dreamcast is still alive, at least in our community.

2024.05.20 19:44 Qwertitio Connect a crt emudriver gpu with vga to a scart tv

I have a emudriver compatible gpu ( R7 450 OEM) but on amazon I can't find a passive vga to scart adapter. Is it because of the sync ( 15 khz on scart vs the 31khz on vga?). Can I find a solution?
Any help is greatly appreciated. Ps: I'm really new to this so I'm not very experienced with it

2024.05.20 14:58 Shalaomy Second Display going to sleep mode

Hi,
So I bought me a new case, and went to a friend to do the moving of parts to the new box, we had abit of a struggle fitting the the GPU in the box as the 1080 was abit troublesome for the small box. Anyway, when I came back home and connected everything ready to game again, I saw that my second display goes straight to sleep mode when I connect it, The pc does detect the second display, I can see the mouse has moved over onto the second display but the monitor is constantly in sleep mode.
I have tried a different monitor and does the same thing, and with a different cable, still the same.
I tried disabling the multi display setting in the bios and re-enabling it after a restart in between, but nothing. Is it a power issue or have we perhaps damaged something on the motherboard without knowing it?
Its a VGA connection through the motherboards display output
Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

2024.05.20 14:33 Scorer99 I'm afraid I broke my GPU while installing it. Someone help please

Hello, First my hardware: GPU: Gigabyte 4070 Ti Super Gaming OC CPU: Intel Core i5-13600KF MoBo: Gigabyte Z790 Aorus Elite Ax RAM: Corsair Vengeance DDR5 6000 MHz 2x16GB M.2: WD_black SN850x 4 TB AIO : Lian Li Ga II Trinity SN Inf 360 PSU: Be quiet! System Power 10 750W
My problem: This is the 2nd PC I'm building (becomes relevant later). Yesterday I have connected everything to the MoBo and the PSU. As I tried to connect the power cable to the GPU I wasn't sure if it was completely in so I pushed a bit harder and then the connector cracked. Since the GPU was the last piece to install I finished connecting everything and tried to boot the PC for the first time. All the fans, including the one on the GPU seemed to be working fine and all the RGBs were working too. But I didn't get a picture and the VGA light on the MoBo is shining constantly yellow. As far as I know that means there is an issue between PSU, GPU and MoBo/Monitor.
I checked every cable and it seems like everything is plugged in like it is supposed to. The only thing that isn't plugged in is a USB cable from the Lian Li AIO Controller Case because I didn't have enough USB ports on my MoBo for it (currently waiting on a 1 to 3 adapter to connect it). But that should only be for the RGB and Fan speed controlling, the fans are working and even showing RBG when I press the power button.
I tried connecting my 2060 Super to the new build but the PSU doesn't have enough 4 pin connectors, and my old PSU (Corsair RM 550x) doesn't have enough CPU cables :(
So I can't even replace the GPU and PSU without trying to use both at the same time (which also didn't work).
Does someone have an idea of what else I could try or do I have to get a new GPU? I also don't know if this falls under the warranty and if I could try to get it replaced or repaired :(

2024.05.20 11:32 Affectionate-Wolf667 Help with screen

(I don't know if the tag is the right one or not) I'm trying to connect my TV to my pc to use it as a second monitor and was first going to just use a hdmi, but there wasn't any hdmi slots on my pc. So I bought a hdmi to vga cable thinking it'd work but when I set the TV onto the correct channel it just says no signal. Wanted to ask if anyone knew what I should do, because looking more now I see more things showing cables that are the came on either side. But I don't have a VGA in the TV. So I can't do either if I need the same. And buying another actual monitor isn't in the mix either because I just don't have the money.

2024.05.20 07:49 elevenatx Extron VSC 700 No signal?

Extron VSC 700 No signal?
Last time I got my Extron VSC 700 to work when using component input and component output.
However now I wanted to connect some hdmi devices. I’m converting hdmi to vga to RGBHV input and component output (only have green output cable connected atm hence the black and white color bars).
The VSC 700 says no signal and displays default colors bars I have set it to output when it has no signal. When I plug the output into the pass through I just get a black screen with occasional flashing white lines.
I’ve tried multiple hdmi devices with multiple hdmi cables. I also tried getting different hdmi to vga adapters and vga-rgbhv cables. Still have the same issue of the VSC700 saying no signal. What’s going on?

2024.05.20 02:48 bakuku PS3 on Sony G500

PS3 on Sony G500
I was wondering if I could display my PS3 on a CRT VGA monitor without an HDMI to VGA convertor
I modded my PS1 AV breakout adapter which has all pins connected for RGB, Composite Video, S-video, Audio and 5v by adding a male VGA port in the back.
I then made a RGB Scart cable according to the schedule in the pictures found [https://members.optusnet.com.au/eviltim/gamescart/gamescart.htm] (here).
And finally a Scart to BNC/RCA adapter.
If 480i (576i) is selected over AV Scart the Playstation will use Composite/Y as sync. Anything higher than 480i (576i) will make the Playstation switch to SoG (Sync on Green).
Luckily my recently acquired G500 supports SoG. With that I can display 480p natively on the monitor. (I believe all Sony CRT VGA Monitors support SoG) Anything higher than 480p is only possible over Component/D-Terminal or HDMI.
Enjoy!

For show background, I was on my PC when it froze out of nowhere, so I held down the power button which usually resolves it. However, when I turned it back on nothing appeared. The monitor turned on the same time the pc did but nothing. The VGA light on my motherboard is on and won’t turn off. Does that mean the GPU’s done for?
Things I’ve done to try and fix it:
Reseated the RAM
Checked all connection cables
Dusted the PC completely
Disconnected and reconnected the GPU
Tried different ports on the GPU
To get into BIOS but couldn’t

2024.05.20 01:44 RempyAU New PC Build causing No Signal on Display

Hi all, I have just finished building a brand new PC - all new components. Not my first build, but I am also not an expert.

- ASRock B650M PG Lightning WIFI
- Ryzen 5 7600
- Corsair Vengeance 32GB 6000/CL30 RAM
- Silicon Power UD90 SSD
- Coolermaster 750 Gold PSU
- ASUS TUF RX 7800 XT

I am having issues after installing windows as the display will lose signal and never regain it. I get a similar issue with either the 7800XT or the Ryzen 5 7600's iGPU. To simplify things, I am putting the 7800XT to the side and focusing on first getting things working with the iGPU alone. I have narrowed it down to a consistent issue that I can recreate as follows:

  1. I do a fresh install of Windows via a flash drive.
  2. I let Windows launch with no ethernet connected. Everything is initially fine while offline, I’ve let it sit there for over an hour with no issues.
  3. It seems as though as soon as drivers start to install, my display monitor loses signal. I have installed (or let Windows install) drivers the following ways:
3.1 Manually installing the motherboard drivers from ASRock’s website. The chipset driver installed ok, but I lost signal during the VGA driver install.
3.2 Plugging in ethernet and doing nothing. I think something is downloading/installing some drivers in the background. Within 5 mins of plugging in ethernet, I lose signal.
3.3 Plugging in ethernet and doing the ASRock Auto Driver Install tool that pops up.
3.3 Plugging in ethernet and quickly downloading/Installing AMD’s Auto Detect driver software and letting it do the Factory Install (supposedly pauses windows updates).
3.4 Plugging in ethernet and doing my Windows Updates.
  1. Consistently, within a few moments of any of these actions, I will lose signal to the monitor. The PC remains on. Once I lose signal, I cannot regain it despite rebooting or changing monitors. I’ve waited for 30mins to see if it comes back, which it does not. From here on, the display is only available for BIOS until I do a fresh install if Windows again.

A few more details:
- BIOS is up to date (one of the first things I did), and I am using BIOS defaults for everything.
- I have tried CMOS resetting by removing the battery with it unplugged for 15 minutes
- I have tried this with Windows 11 and Windows 10
- I have confirmed the Monitor and HDMI cables work on other machines.
- I have confirmed tried using both sticks of RAM, one stick of RAM (each), in different slots, etc. A check in the BIOS always confirms it is showing up correctly.
- I have confirmed the CPU is installed correctly and running at like 47C in BIOS always.
- I have confirmed the SSD works in a different PC.
- I have removed everything from the board and re-seated everything multiple times (including in the PSU itself).
- I have tried this with as few things plugged into the board as possible (power switches, CPU and 24Pin connectors, and CPU fan only pretty much)
- I have tried putting the 7800 XT in and I get the same issue is consistently.
- The only way I can get past the initial 5ish minutes of having ethernet plugged in is if I install my old GTX970, which seems to work fine. The problem only occurs if I am on the Ryzen 5 7600 iGPU or the new 7800XT. The fact that I can use the PC in this configuration suggest to me that the SSD, RAM, and PSU are all working fine (but not an expert).
- Another (possibly related?) issue is that I put the RX 7800XT into my old PC and it worked fine initially. No display signal loss for 20+ minutes, even when connected to the internet. However, as soon as I ran the AMD Auto-Detect Driver tool, I lost signal in that PC too.

Very unsure where to go from here after 20+ hours of troubleshooting and reinstalling windows dozens of times. My feeling is that there's something wrong with the board, CPU and/or GPU. I just don't know exactly what and where. Please let me know if you have any suggestions. Thanks!

Problem getting system to display to monitor
Hi all, hoping for some help getting to the bottom of what's become quite a mystery to me. Up until the last few days, my system was running perfectly; that was until I tilted the monitor. Ever since, it's been showing the same "no signal" message. Additionally, midway through my troubleshooting (I think) (after reseating my GPU?) the motherboard began flashing the VGA debug light.
Troubleshooting steps I've taken so far: Made sure correct input is selected Checked and ensured all cable connections are secure Made sure HDMI is plugged into GPU jack rather than motherboard Using a different HDMI device (amazon firestick) on the monitor, screen works Reseated GPU Removed GPU entirely and plugged HDMI into motherboard jack Used new HDMI cable Used new PCIe cabe
Of course in between each of those was a restart/retry. Throughout all of that, I can't get the system to show anything on the monitor, other than that "no signal" message. I'll try to include a video of the debug lights while booting, it does that every time. Please pardon the dust, I know, I need to get some compressed air. Here's my parts list:
MSI B550 MPG Gaming Carbon WiFi AMD AM4 ATX Mobo AMD Ryzen 5 5600X Vermeer 3.7GHZ PowerColor AMD Radeon RX 6700 XT G.Skill Ripjaws V 16GB (2 x 8GB) DDR4- 3200 PC4-25600 Samsung 980 SSD 500GB M.2 NVME Interface PCle 3.0 x4 Internal SSD LG Ultragear 27GL83A-B.AUS 27" 2K WQHD (2560 x 1440) 144HZ Gaming Monitor; EVGA SuperNOVA 750 GT psu
Please help. Thanks in advance!

2024.05.20 00:40 notautogenerated2365 Supermicro AOM-X10QBI-A with PCIe-x4 riser as PCIe AST2400 BMC card?

I came across this unique product on eBay, it is called the Supermicro AOM-X10QBI-A. It is a nonstandard PCIe card that looks like it has a PCIe-x16 edge connector with a PCIe-x4 edge connector right behind it. It has a dual 10G RJ45 NIC on it as well as an ASPEED AST2400 BMC with a VGA and RJ45 management port. This card was clearly meant to go into a special server specifically designed for it.
So I started thinking... for just 30 USD, you could have a PCIe BMC, if you could figure out how to put it in a normal system.
So the obvious thought is that the AST2400 connects directly to the PCIe-x4 edge connector, while the dual 10G controller connects directly to the PCIe-x16 edge connector. So basically 2 separate PCIe devices, but on 1 PCB.
I was thinking, to get this thing in a normal system, I could just get a PCIe 3.0 x4 riser cable and connect 1 end to a server and the other to the PCIe-x4 edge connector of the card, ignoring the NIC entirely (although with another PCIe riser, I am sure the NIC could also be used).
But, I don't know for certain that the PCIe edge connectors are the standard pinout. It is entirely possible that it isn't a standard pinout. Is this a good idea to try?
