2024.05.21 21:29 According_Cherry5760 TTC, what are the chances?

My app says I ovulated on the 12th, and for 4 days after the 12th I had this dull but sometimes intense pain in my ovary area specifically on my left side. We had sex on the 7th, 9th, 10th & 12th leading up to the 12th which is my supposed ovulation date. All unprotected. I am currently 9dpo and I have symptoms such as very sore nipples, bigger breasts, back pain, peeing frequently, nausea, cramps, pelvic pain, fatigue, and body aches. What are the odds that I conceived, and when should I test for the most accurate result? My period is due on the 27th.

2024.05.21 21:11 Dry_Standard_5998 Conceived after semen analysis studies

Hello everyone, my wife and I have been trying for a baby for a little over a year now; we had a miscarriage last March 2023. We had only tried for 2 months before conceiving. Since our miscarriage my wife’s been having irregular periods diagnosed with PCOS and not ovulating. She’s been on chlomid a few cycles and still no luck. I opted for a semen analysis after chatting with her Dr.. My count looked good but my Kruger strict scale came back as 0 abnormal extremely impaired. However, 3 days after I received my results my wife has 3 positive pregnancy tests and a confirmed blood work pregnancy test from her doc. So my question is with having 0 “normal” sperm are we to expect a similar pregnancy to our last one ? Is there hope for a normal pregnancy? Has anyone else had this experience??

2024.05.21 19:16 Ok-Accountant-4387 Recommended Questions for Endocrinologist?

After the 3 month wait, my endocrinology appointment is finally next week. What questions do you recommend asking based on experience, blood test levels, etc? What was your experience like with endo? I have to drive 2 hours one way for the appointment so I want to get as much information as possible.
My OBGYN was pretty much no help after diagnosing me (options were either lose weight or go on oral birth control), so I went to my PCP and talked to her about stuff. She prescribed Mounjaro but ins didn't cover it, so I'm on Metformin. Luckily!!! with the Metformin I've actually had 2 consistent 3-4 day periods and my cycle has been 31 days according to my tracking app. I'm hopeful this means I'm actually ovulating.
I'm kind of worried since the Metformin has made me get a period again that the endocrinologist is going to say yay nothing to worry about!! Has that been your experience? My DHEA-S levels were high so my biggest concern is checking that nothing is pushing on my adrenal glands. And also seeing if she would do a PA for Mounjaro.
Any advice would be super appreciated, thank you tons :)

2024.05.21 19:00 No_Rip_8474 pelvic pain and stuff in urine after taking plan B

i took plan B 8th of april a day after unprotected sex (on my period), period stopped for a day or two, then i had bleeding for another 5 days which was okay.
a few weeks after i started noticing little flakes in my urine, i didn’t care much about it, it seemed like tissue and discharge to me. lost a lot of weight (around 2-3kg).
2 weeks after, 3 weeks after and 5-6weeks after sex i took pregnancy cassette tests. all negative.
im currently day 47 of my cycle, 4 days late, pelvic pain is getting more intense and my appetite is weird, i have pms. i cant tell if im ovulating or not, im not getting symptoms i usually get before my period is coming besides weight gain and bloating.
the thing is that the pain comes and goes time to time, sometimes fine sometimes worse. and in this case it’s like a sharp, constant stinging pain. and the flakey like discharge in my urine still continued until now.

2024.05.21 18:46 ratgirlkawazaki Possible Pregnancy, Super Anxious

As the title suggests, I got intimate with my partner without protection on 2nd May and later ended up checking that it was my supposed day of ovulation, I know it was so stupid of us l've always been extremely careful with all of this but it just happened and he pulled out. I took a Plan B 30 minutes later and I've been feeling quite bloated since then but nothing else. I bled a little bit for 3 days on 15th May (so basically 13 days after I took the pill) I'm confused whether it's implantation bleeding or spotting because of the pill.
I'm super confused because I know l've heard the pill delays your period but I struggle with anxiety and l've scoured the entire internet and there's so much conflicting advice. I don't know what to do now, how long should I wait for my period before taking a test? Please help me as this is getting quite overwhelming for me to deal with.

A message from GOD about abortion [4 images and also see description]
A message from GOD...
I woke up to a dream. In the dream, I had a baby, but it was half human, half insect. It had the face of a human baby but the body of some sort of insect, maybe a spider. Eww.
It was covered in disgusting goo (I think somehow I birthed it out of my penis and placental goo somehow came out, the dream doesn't really make sense). Anyway, I tried to put it in my bathroom's tub or sink or something to wash it, and this little insect bodied baby got sucked down the drain.
I was in a state of despair, but then I thought "maybe a defective human being like myself with a defective baby shouldn't have babies in the first place. Maybe this is for the best". While I was despairing (in a state of despair), I noticed one tiny human hand on the edge of the drain. I reached for it (somehow my baby with the head of a human baby but the body of an insect like a spider had tiny human baby hands on the end of its spider legs), and I pulled it out. It was my baby and it was alive! I rejoiced! I will be a father!
Oddly enough this insect baby of mine was so small that it could get sucked down the drain in my bathroom, but somehow it also had a discernable human baby face.
Anyway, that reminds me of Bodies: The Exhibition ( https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bodies:_The_Exhibition ), where I saw photos of aborted fetuses (see images #2 and #3). A 14 week old fetus is like 3 inches long and a 5 week old fetus (embryo) is like 0.5 inches long, see my photos from 2019. Anyway, in my dream my messed up, disgusting baby that I rescued was so small that it could go down my bathroom drain.
I kinda consider myself GOD and my dreams as a message from my inner subconscious, GOD. Thus, I have just received a message from GOD! #Prophet #ProphetJohnReed
I used to say that the age of legal abortion should be the point where a fetus is developed enough to feel pain like I can, so about 22 weeks (which is where it was in the U.S. after Roe v. Wade was made law but before Roe v. Wade was overturned by Trump judges), but now I'm rethinking it. Based on this dream, I'm thinking this: https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Heartbeat_bill
p.s. If you're going to limit women from having abortions, at least give them the Plan B morning-after pill and pregnancy tests.
Note: "...the morning-after pill, are medications intended to disrupt or delay ovulation or fertilization, which are necessary for pregnancy." - https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Emergency_contraception
Note that Plan B is NOT an abortion pill. It delays ovulation (the female egg coming out of her ovary) and fertilization (the male sperm fusing with the female egg), it does not cause an embryo to fall out of her.
But yeah, as the father and the son, John Reed, with the virgin mother of Virgin Capital Investments, who channels The Holy Spirit, bipolar disorder, I proclaim that I have received a message from God and that message is that you can reduce the age of legal abortion from 22 weeks down to six weeks but only if you provide women with Plan B emergency contraception and pregnancy tests. If she doesn't have Plan B emergency contraception and pregnancy tests, you're not allowed to stop her from having an abortion before 22 weeks.
I am "The Prophet" and this is my message from GOD which is to apply to all people in my kingdom, planet Earth. I am "The King of planet Earth" and this is my proclamation!
@ FBI , @CIA , @DOJ , @DoD , As the shadow leader of the "Deep State", as "The Shadow President", this post is my proclamation!

2024.05.21 16:21 ahhssha Irregular empty sac and high hcg

Hello, hoping someone can provide me insight. Went in to OB last Friday due to some spotting and cramping over the course of two days. US showed what appeared to me (I do US regularly at my work) as a large irregular sac with angulations. I should’ve been 6w4d by lmp. I was tracking ovulation with LH strips and know I didn’t ovulate until after cycle day 15 but unfortunately I don’t know exactly when I ovulated due to being on vacation and not tracking. Based on when we had sex I could’ve ovulated a week to 12 days late. My lmp was 3/31 and I had a positive high sensitivity pregnant test May 1, it was a very very faint line. OB mentioned the sac irregularity and didn’t see a yolk sac or fetal pole. She wanted hcgs to get a better picture of what’s happening. On Friday my beta hcg was 18442 then 48 hrs later 27509. Ob messages me that the rise is appropriate and promising and maybe the irregularity and lack of yolk sac and fetal pole is due to doing the US so early.
My question is, isn’t that HCG too high to not see anything on US? She did the US so fast, I don’t think she looked in the transverse view. I’m supposed to go for another us in two weeks. Should I ask for a diagnostic ultrasound sooner? Is there really a chance it might be fine? Should I be concerned for ectopic? Honestly, I would think with a high hcg, empty irregular sac, and complaints of bleeding and cramping she’d be more concerned about ectopic. Kinda spiraling here. Would love to hear any insight including similar stories.

Not sure what to make of this
I was pretty certain i ovulated day 23-had the LH surge (my surges are usually pretty brief and sometimes hard to catch) and the test stated peak fertility. Three days of temps above cover line after that. App says i ovulated. Now temps are dipping and it says i’m fertile again. Any insights appreciated. Maybe its too soon to tell what is going on. I’ve been using NC for a year with pretty steady temps and cycles overall. Almost never have high temp readings unless its post ovulation. I do not drink, have slept well, am not sick.

2024.05.21 15:41 Recent-Forever-2988 Disappointed in wait time for FET

F33 TTC for almost two years. We decided to do IVF as I have PCOS and irregular ovulation. We found an affordable clinic (UK) and put the cost on a credit card. It was too upsetting either waiting for no ovulation or getting negative pregnancy tests month after month. No known causes of infertility, AMH is slightly high due to PCOS but not concerning, husband's SA was good and DNA frag showed no concerns either.
My results were 18 eggs retrieved, 15 fertilised, 7 day 5 blasts - two 4AB, two 4BB and two 5AB. We transferred a 5AB on 27th March and I was pregnant for a week but had resulted in a chemical pregnancy by the time of my blood test on 8th April. It was my first ever positive test and losing it was heart-breaking.
I had my bleed 12th April. Our clinic wants to wait for another full cycle before starting the FET process. They told me to call first day of my next period which was last Wednesday. They called today to give me the dates and, because we're away for a Monday to Friday in mid-June, it's delayed by a week. So it's:
24th June - induce period 27th June - baseline scan 28th June - oestrogen and Ganirelix 11th July - thickness scan 16th July - likely embryo transfer
I know there's nothing we can do and it's the way medicine works, but I'm upset we have another eight weeks to wait before our transfer. It feels like forever when I'm counting down the days. Not only that but, if it doesn't work, I can only assume it will be November before our third transfer and 2025 if that doesn't work.
I can only hope that I ovulate naturally this month to give myself a bit of hope, but it has never worked so far so feels like there's no chance of that happening.
We don't really do PGT-A testing in the UK and we wouldn't move to another clinic, it would be too expensive and I don't know if it would be any quicker. With not being able to test them, I feel like we could be doing this on repeat for the next however long - months and months. It all just feels like it takes forever and all I want is to be pregnant 😔.

2024.05.21 14:16 sleepyhollowfr At-Home HCG Tests

I've done my best to research as much as I can while TTC, but these at home tests still confuse me. I'm really trying to hold out during the two week wait, to avoid hurting my own feelings and wasting pregnancy tests. I got a box of HCG tests simply because they are more affordable. I see many people here testing as early as 6DPO (I know, only 1% of people will get a positive HCG at that point) but on the box, it specifically says "accurately detects pregnancy as early as 1 day before a missed period." How exactly does this work? How are these tests able to detect things like a week after ovulation or do I maybe just not have those kind of tests? For reference, I'm using the accubio brand on amazon that is 25 mlu/mL.

2024.05.21 13:41 Fluid-Track-3558 Plan b, 7days later period, had regular period for a month and now late. What should i do?

22 female, Condom broke on Mar. 6 Use plan b on Mar. 7
Had my period on Mar 16 - 20 lighter than usual. Had my period on April 17 - 22 heavier than usual.
Month of May, i didn't experience ovulation bleeding that i usually had, pretty dry on my ovulation week. Had sex on May 15 (safe day) my partner inserted it without a condom for a second or two. Then use protection after that. I was supposed to have my period on May 18 but now i am 3 days late.
Should i get a blood test? (I can get but on Saturday) I am worried since i got my period like usual for months but now i am late. I am also having a yellow discharge even before we had sex. Should i be worried?

2024.05.21 13:09 bonnybear How do I stop obsessing/being so hard on myself?

I apologize in advance if I phrase this weirdly, English is not my first language.
I (34F) went off birth control two months ago after being on it for about 2-2,5 years. I took slynd/slinda which is a progestin only pill, there are four placebo pills in every pack but I always skipped them since the goal was to not have a period at all. I haven’t been on any hormonal bc before them since I was 19 and didn’t plan to either but started taking these mostly for crippling hormonal migraines.
Now I’m stressing myself out TTC. I just got my regular period for the second time (since going off bc). Before the two normal periods I had a short withdrawal bleed. My cycle seems totally normal again(26-28 days, super positive opk:s around day 11-13). This cycle I hade some fertile cm and even felt the ovulation pain on my left side. I haven’t started measuring my BBT yet so I guess that’s the next step. The only thing that’s different from before bc is that my period seems much lighter and that my breasts feel super sore and swollen all the way from ovulation to the day before my period - never had that before.
Now I know it’s super early into my TTC journey but I can’t stay level headed in this despite my best efforts. I can’t stop beating myself up with thoughts of what I could possibly be doing wrong? Am I too old, is something wrong with me, why am I not pregnant even though I had sex every day for weeks, did taking bc mess me up in some way? I am desperate to know what is or isn’t happening inside my body. I’ve already wasted money on taking extra sensitive pregnancy tests from 8dpo and onwards and haven’t seen the faintest line.
I feel like I took my fertility for granted. I always had a regular cycle with very obvious signs of ovulation. I got pregnant by accident at age 27 (I am still with the same partner) and had a very early abortion without known complications and right now I’m spiraling into thoughts about how not getting pregnant now is my “punishment” for having an abortion then. I don’t want to think like that or become more obsessive about this.
I would be so grateful for any kind advice or similar experiences.

2024.05.21 13:07 bundasmogyoro Empty sac at 6+1

After my previous miscarriage at 7-8 weeks, now I went an ultrasound at 6+1 to see how the baby is going. I think everything is the same as before, there was an empty sac and nothing more.
My doctor want to wait 1 week, but I know that I will miscarrie again. I felt that from my first positive test. :( My doc didn’t seem hopeful as well, he said sometimes miracles happen… thanks…
I’m sure in the day of ovulation, I should be at 6+1, but now the baby is 5 weeks. The betas doubled, but were so low during the first weeks, after these I didn’t go to blood tests (12 dpo 17, 14 dpo 37, 17 dpo 104).
Now I have to prepare for my next miscarriage, right? :(

Need a bit of help
TW Warning - Miscarriages
I had a miscarriage in February (6 weeks) and April (8 weeks) and since then my BBT has been all over the place. My temps after my miscarriage were like Rocky Mountains and I don’t think I even ovulated that month. I had a lot of high LH tests but that was because I still had HCG in my system.
My period this cycle came 4 days early which is very odd as my cycle is usually like clockwork. Now since then I don’t think I’ve ever had temps this low! (Ignore the massive spike, I had alcohol). I’ve been testing my LH and usually I would get a positive on day 14/15. But I think(?) I had a positive on day 19 - the test strips are rubbish, I had ran out of my easy@home tests so I couldn’t tell if it was a true positive or not!
I can only assume I ovulated yesterday. But there hasn’t been much of an increase in my bbt? I use my apple watch to track bbt but I do have a bbt thermometer, so after I woke up and a bit of walking around I thought I’d test and it shot up to 36.81. Do you think there’s a possibility that I have in fact ovulated or am I in for another anovulatory cycle 😭😭😭
Stupidly I’ve ran out of LH strips so can’t test at the moment!

Premom, 15 or so DPO, CD 25
Is this even real? I have done so many of these tests (same box) previous months, I have been obsessed symptom spotting, but this month gave up (9months trying). Throughout these months my hormones went crazy and I had 4-5 cycles that lasted only 14-16 days, so it was even impossible to get pregnant… I was frustrated and ordered myself hertility hormonal test to check my hormon ines this month, but had to wait for a third day of period. This month I havent even tracked LH strips (but I felt ovulation which was between CD 9-10 because I had ovulation cramps and Egg white discharge that I have been getting during tracked ovulation. Took a test only because I have sore breasts and cramps and ingestion (but been having it the other months too) and wanted to go to sauna, so just did it to be sure. But honestly after staring at countless tests for so many months I did not expect for dye to go on the test line. And it started going there pretty immediately after all the colour distributed along. It’s not my morning pee, I havent held it for hours, it’s not highly concentrated. Damn now I want to run to my hubby and show the test, but what if its not real? Have to wait until I an double check.

2024.05.21 12:08 kittycatblue13 Clearblue squinter on CD 7? Confused and worried.

Clearblue squinter on CD 7? Confused and worried.
My husband says he can also see a faint line so I don’t think I’m going entirely crazy but can anyone else see it??
After 6 months of learning the BBT ropes, I did my first ever OPK this morning because my temp and HR shot right up and I had no other tests in the house. I also had crazy vivid dreams and night sweats last night which I usually only get before my period starts - but I’m literally on day 7 of bleeding. Which in itself is weird, because my cycle is usually 5 days and it’s definitely still light flow, not just spotting.
After that dark-but-not-quite-positive line on the OPK, the progesterone symptoms and realising my temp never dropped below last month’s cover line I figured I should pick up an HCG just to be sure and… here we are.
I didn’t take a pregnancy test before because my period arrived within my normal timeframe (or I thought it did) and I try not to test unless I’m late.
But a test that’s this light at such a late point in my cycle does not feel promising does it?
Obviously my immediate worry is ectopic, especially as I’m still bleeding. I’m going to test again with FMU tomorrow and see what that looks like before calling the doctor.
My other conundrum is if it IS a positive then it must have been on O-6 which is almost impossible?? Either that or I ovulated wildly early!

Hi everyone, I came off the pill a few weeks ago, had a break through bleed and woke up today with tender breasts and pains in my groin. Did an ovulation test and it was very very faint. Is this typical for coming off birth control? I thought you ovulated after your period, and it’s been about two weeks since the break through bleed and no ‘proper’ period as of yet. Sorry if I sound silly but I am new to this.

2024.05.21 10:45 ames449 Ovulation help (cross posted to trying to conceive)

I need your help (and sorry because I know I've posted a lot since I started this journey)! I'm meant to be having IUI next month and somehow despite testing as the kit told me to, I missed my ovulation window. I was seeing high fertility for seven days and then it went down to low with no peak ever appearing. I'm sure I did ovulate because I had the usual symptoms, I just don't know when.
After speaking to my clinic, it looks like they're going to have to cancel my planned iui procedure in June and try again in July as they say they need these details to proceed. Well, the nurse said they can take my request for treatment in case I do peak in June, and if not use that as an other testing cycle.
So I don't mess it up again, can someone please help me understand how often I should be testing using the ovulation kits, and the optimum way to do it to ensure I find that peak ovulation? I've got the premom strips (I was using the clearblue digital tests but apparently they aren't as good -- though that was what my clinic recommended) and I've got a better app to track in. I'm using the premom app (though if you know a better one let me know). I've also bought a basal temp thermometer to hopefully catch this surge. When is best to take this reading? Should I be doing it multiple times a day? Is there a trick to this? I want to cover all bases this time. I don't want to be stuck in an endless cycle of trying to work out my peak ovulation.
I'm trying not to be deflated but honestly I am gutted and it's stupid because it's only another month to wait, but I'd geared up to have it done in the middle of June. :(

2024.05.21 10:01 fruitrabbit Could I please get some assistance in interpreting my blood test results / hormone levels?

I recently got my first hormone levels test. I'm 29, didn't realize I should've gotten my test on specific days, so I ended up taking a blood test 1-2 days before ovulation (about day 14). I had spotting a couple days after my blood test.
FSH 5 IU/L
LH 4 IU/L
Oestradiol 936 pmol/L
Progesterone 1.8 nmol/L
Testtosterone 1.4 nmol/L
SHBG re-std. 87 nmol/L
FAI re-std 1.6%
Not sure the bottom ones are relevant but I've included them here anyway.
I got a hormone check because my period has gotten super short (like 1 heavy day and then super light whereas it used to be 3 heavy days then light days). It's still super regular though, so that's good. Also my hair has definitely gotten thinner in the last year or two, and I felt like it was falling out more than usual. I've always been low in iron, so thought it could be that, but then my iron levels have never really been that high.
Much appreciated!

2024.05.21 09:48 efloresmty 33F / Caucasian, gaining weight, irregular periods

After giving birth to daughter 3 yrs ago, my wife had trouble regaining a regular ovulation/menstrual cycle. She took birth control pills that didn’t help for about 9 months and has now been off of them for ~16 months (we use condom).
In the past year, she has been gaining weight (~10 kgs in 1 yr) and has had bouts of irregular periods (example today, 12 days after last period). Also, she is constantly feeling fatigued, depressed and anxious. Sometimes (2x a month) she will have nausea and constipation. She eats okay (similar to before pregnancy) and tries to exercise / walk though maybe only does 1x/week. Stress has been high since we had daughter.
As she has not been feeling well, she has seen some doctors but everything comes back normal: basic blood test came all normal in parameters (below), pap smear in december all normal and mamogram in oct’23 all clear too. We think it might be some hormonal imbalance but doctors can’t really say and just point her to more exercise. Is there some test we are missing that would improve diagnostics?
