My golden retriever who was my best friend in the entire world fell ill recently and passed away suddenly so i sold a vintage doll on eBay to help cover the the vet bill and cremation costs💔. I even made mention of the tragedy in my listing hoping the crooks would show at least SOME empathy and stay away from my listing. The customer seemed very friendly and excited to receive her. NOW that he received her he is making accusations about how her hair was cut and that he needs to get her restored (or return her). He is VERY CLEARLY hinting at a partial refund scam. This completely devastates me as I’ve already been dealing with a recently diagnosed illness (MCAS) so I’m not working as much. I don’t understand how people can be so dirty and so unethical. Especially when they KNOW you are already going through a very difficult tragedy. I included 9 photos of her hair alone! I don’t understand how such scummy people can live with themselves. He knows I can’t afford to take the return so he’s making up a “she needs repairs” lie to con me into a discount.
It really makes me lose my faith in humanity.

Here's the summary for the second half of Day 3 of Safe House. There were also quite a few talking-based activities today, and I directly transcribed a bit more this time, especially during the cooking competition, because a lot was happening so I wanted all the funny exchanges to be translated. Hope you guys enjoy!

• They're having a jam session when we join
• 3:45 Neo and Luke are improvising a song about all the guys. I'll just translate the lyrics that Luke sings in Thai because he also sings in English a bit too. When you hear Neo talking/singing, he's trying to translate what Luke is singing, but sometimes he's a little off.
  • Mix: "can be good but also bad. Likes to eat a lot with Pond"
  • Phuwin: (sings in English)
  • Pond: (sings in English) "Everyone knows that he always wants to eat rice with Thai omelette (extra salty)"
  • Neo: "He's probably the most annoying in the house, but he's also cute. He loves annoying everyone a lot, especially Earth. That's the kind of person he is. He plays guitar really well."
  • Khaotung: "I like how he likes similar things as me. I like how he plays darts with me. I like how he also wins games like me."
  • (pause while they laugh)
  • 6:30 Earth: "Everyone who's watching this livestream knows that he likes to wear this red sweatshirt." (pause because Neo needs to think of what to play) "Red shirt, red shirt, has nice stuff in his hair" (then sings in English) (pause because of Neo's mistranslation) "Actually, he should be the best in the house, but right now he has the lowest score. But that's alright, because there's lots of time for him to win more games."
  • Gun: "Yellow shirt, like the Sang Sang that he's the presenter of. He's really tiny, but his smile is huge. He's also very good-looking and the nicest in the house" (then Luke says something a bit funny but rude, which makes Gun get up and try to push a pillow in Luke's face)
• 9:50 Mix and Gun go to the kitchen. The others realise that they can watch the footage of the kitchen from the TV.
• 10:45 Neo and Khaotung consider improvising a song for Luke since he didn't get to sing about himself, but Luke declines.
• 12:15 PD asks everyone to assemble in the kitchen. She makes a notification sound before speaking so that the guys don't get startled, which they appreciate
• 13:20 Medal competition sponsored by Sea Me Now. Gun reads the rules. They will divide themselves into two teams. Each team will send two members to prepare "yum" (a type of Thai salad served at room temperature, often involving some kind of noodles like glass noodles) within 15 minutes, using the seafood from Sea Me Now. Meanwhile, the remaining 4 guys will wait in another room until the dishes are ready, and they will come and blindly taste the dishes and vote on which dish is better. Winning team gets one medal each.
  • 16:00 PD asks the teams which member each thinks is the best cook in the team. Phuwin is the best of the left team, and the right-hand team are undecided between Gun and Khaotung. At 17:30 PD asks which member from each group is the worst at cooking. The guys start to figure out that PD is going to pair the best cook with the worst cook, so the right-hand team try to blag that Khaotung and Gun don't know how to cook that well after all. At 18:30, Neo is the only one who hasn't caught on to PD's plan, so he raises his hand to indicate that he's the worst cook on that team because he thinks it means he won't have to cook. Final cooking teams are Phuwin/Neo and Gun/Pond. The rest go to wait in the play zone.
  • 21:00 Phuwin has only just realised that they are required to make "yum," which he doesn't know how to make. He mistakenly thought they could make whatever they wanted. Gun is also not confident.
  • 23:00 Cooking timer begins. Both teams decide to use the salmon. Phuwin/Neo decide they're going to leave their salmon raw. Pond asks Gun if they're going to leave theirs raw too, and Phuwin accuses him of copying them. Gun decides they're going to lightly blanch their salmon.
  • 28:00 Neo goes to look for a food processor. Gun asks if he can process enough chilis for both teams, and Neo initially jokingly declines, but then agrees.
  • 30:15 Phuwin asks Neo to make the glass noodles. Neo isn't sure how to prepare them, and Phuwin guesses that they're supposed to just put them briefly in boiling water (which is correct)
  • 31:30 We cut to the play zone where the tasting teams do a light brand plug for Sea Me Now. They teach Luke a new word that basically means "great." (I guess it's kind of like "sick" in English how the actual definition of the word is different, but it's slang when used in context). Mix is confident that Gun/Pond are going to make the better dish.
  • 37:00 PD announces one minute remaining, and that "the customers are complaining." Gun/Pond finish with some time to spare and present their dish to the camera, but Phuwin/Neo finish a little late (but it's fine; there will be no penalty. PD just keeps rushing them to finish)
  • 40:30 PD asks the teams to write the names of their respective dishes on the mini boards provided. Pond originally writes a name that indirectly reveals that he and Gun made that dish, and PD says that the names can't have any hints of who made which dish.
  • 43:30 PD asks the teams to pose with their respective dishes, and invites the audience to screenshot and caption them. Gun/Pond's dish translates to, "Definitely delicious; try it and see," and Phuwin/Neo's dish (roughly) translates to, "Just making a 'yum,' but don't know how to make it" (It's a rhyme/pun in Thai)
  • 44:30 Cooking teams leave the kitchen and go sit in the living room so they can watch the tasting on the TV. PD warns them not to cheat while the teams are changing rooms.
  • 47:15, the tasting team goes to the kitchen. They each get 3 ping pong balls with which they can vote. Phuwin/Neo's dish is the white side, and Gun/Pond's is the blue side. The votes can be cast by dropping the balls into the coloured containers corresponding to the dishes.
  • 48:00 It is immediately obvious to all of them immediately which team made which dish. Transcription starting from 48:20:
    • Earth: "Why don't we start by judging the presentation before we taste?"
    • Mix: "Looking at these two dishes, this one (blue) is definitely wins."
    • Earth (trying to help his team): "I think I'm going to go with this one (white). Listen, none of us know which dish was made by which team..."
    • Luke: "But we have theories."
    • Mix: "I just want to know in what way this (white) dish could possibly be more beautiful than that (blue) dish."
    • (pause while they think of some nonsense) Luke: "The vegetables. They just look so nice. And there are so many of them."
    • Earth: "I'm giving it to this team (white)."
    • Luke: "Me too."
    • (audio cuts out for a few seconds)
    • Mix is saying "The truth?!" to implore Earth and Luke to admit the truth, but they stick to their decisions
    • Luke: "It's my personal opinion. I'm not changing."
    • 49:55 Mix comes up to the camera and mouths, "There are cheaters here."
    • Earth and Luke say, "Who knows? This plate could have been made by anyone."
    • 50:15 Mix: "Okay, let's move on to the flavour." They taste Phuwin/Neo's first.
    • Earth: "I hear laughing outside. Who's laughing?"
    • 51:00 Luke: "Very good."
    • Earth looks at Luke. Luke: "It's actually good. It suits my palate."
    • Mix: "I mean, it's alright. It's not bad. The salmon and imitation crab are good. They taste really fresh. But the noodles are awkwardly super cold. Like, is this bamee yen (a cold noodle dish)? Also, there's just something not right. It's sour, and it's like trying to be spicy but not spicy, trying to be salty but not salty. It's not balanced. What do you think, Earth?"
    • Earth: "I'll give it to you honestly."
    • Mix: (puts his hand on Earth's shoulder and looks into his eyes) "Yes, give it to us honestly."
    • Earth: "Okay, honestly, I like the raw ingredients. I like that the imitation crab meat is in large chunks. But..."
    • Mix: "Look, he's talking about the raw ingredients. He's not even talking about the flavour of the dish."
    • Earth: "The flavour is like how Mix described. And honestly, it's sour. It's so sour. Uncomfortably sour. Like, too sour. Can I have some water?"
    • 52:40 Luke: "I really like how there are lots of vegetables here. That means that dish is really healthy for you. If you ask me if I can eat the other dish, I can eat it, but it won't be as healthy as this dish."
    • Earth: "Oh, okay, so he's talking about the health value of the dish."
    • Mix: "But we're talking about the flavour of the dish, here, no?"
    • Luke: "I'm a person who doesn't like eating things too spicy. (uses the vocab word he learned earlier) So I like that this one is a good balance. It's not too spicy for me.
    • 53:35 Earth looks at Luke and says, "Is it not too sour? I think you've already helped our team a lot here."
    • Luke: "No, I don't think so. I honestly think it's good. But we haven't tried the other dish."
    • Earth: "That's true. Different people have different flavour preferences. Some like super sour, for example. And if those people also don't like spicy food, this dish is for them."
    • 54:05 They ask for Khaotung's review. He pauses and then quietly says, "Um... Sour. It's sour."
    • Mix: "How about between the words 'delicious' and 'not delicious'?"
    • Khaotung: "Well, I can definitely eat it. But it's super sour. It's not well-rounded."
    • 54:35 They move on to taste Gun/Pond's dish. Mix comes to the camera and enthusiastically whispers, "It's SO good!"
    • 55:15 Earth: "I like the creativity of this team. The salmon was raw, but this team lightly blanched the fish so that the inside is still raw, which adds a lot of layers to the flavours and textures of the dish. I like it."
    • Mix: "Can I speak extendedly? It's SO good. It's amazing. It's well-rounded, yummy, the textures are amazing, and it's easy to see that the person who made it really knows how to cook. I'm pretty sure I know who made it." Khaotung agrees.
    • 56:40 Luke decides to still vote for the white dish because the second dish is a bit too spicy for him. Earth sees that there's no way that the white dish can win anymore, so he puts his last ball into the white container anyway.

  • 1:00:35 Luke says to Phuwin/Neo: "I tried, guys." Neo says, "I love this guy. He said the truth straight from his heart." Earth says that he tried to say the truth too. Neo complains that he was working with so many ingredients he had no idea how to use. I was just putting everything in randomly. Mix asks who did the seasoning/flavouring, and Neo said, "Me, but we didn't have time to taste it because we ran out of time."
  • 1:02:00 The cooking teams try each other's dishes (and Phuwin/Neo try their own dish for the first time too). Neo tries Gun/Pond's dish. Earth immediately feeds him a huge bite of his own dish. Neo pauses and says, "It seems like it's missing something." Mix and Earth say, "Not something. Many things. Like deliciousness." Earth feeds some to Phuwin, and he also doesn't like it.
    • 1:02:45 Neo looks at Earth and says, "You did the right thing." (in reference to criticising this dish and voting for the other one). Earth says, "So you understand me now?!"
    • Neo makes fun of how Gun was previously dramatic about not knowing how to make "yum." Gun says that he truly wasn't sure, and Neo feeds Gun some of Phuwin/Neo's dish saying, "See? This is what it means to truly not know what you're doing." Gun's eyes water while eating it, and he says, "It's so sour," and goes to hug Neo and Phuwin.

Luke and Phuwin explain what they are to him and explain that in some Western countries, they eat less rice than they do in Asia, so sometimes they eat potatoes as the starch (a lot of the dishes for this meal were prepared in a Western way)
  • 1:22:30 Neo teaches them Isan slang that a more polite phrase to basically say, "BS-ing." They also mention the Central equivalent of the phrase. They ask Luke what an equivalent in English would be, but Luke can only think of "BS-ing," so he says that he can't say it out loud. He eventually goes with "spinning stuff." Neo says that he feels like English doesn't have as many rude/swearing words as Thai does, and Earth makes a joke that he wouldn't be surprised if Neo's name was rude in English.
  • 1:23:55 They like how Luke seems especially giggly today, so they try to keep him laughing. Neo says a Thai phrase/idiom that basically means that he's not even being funny to his full capacity right now, then Earth and Phuwin give some sarcastic remarks that are like playful insults to Neo, which Luke continues laughing at.
  • 1:26:00 Phuwin and Gun join Mix and Khaotung in the kitchen to cook some more seafood. They're prepping some salmon, scallops, and oysters. Gun wants to make lightly floured and pan-fried tofu.
  • 1:27:30 The guys at the table are joking to Luke that it's Thai culture to be polite to people, but then the closer you get to them, the more you insult them. You start the insults behind their back, but then you can eventually insult them to their face (it's not technically false, especially for some friend groups, but the way they were explaining it is a bit too much, hahaha). Then they demonstrate that, actually, the best thing to do is to be polite to someone's face, and then behind their back, you compliment them again.

She asks Mix "the one with many medals" and Earth "the one with hardly any medals" to take the lead in reading the rules. Earth is offended, but PD says, "Earth, you have to accept the truth."

Each person in the pair will wear a sumo costume with a bag of Super Coffee attached to their back. Once all the pairs have competed, the winners will compete to determine the final winner. Winning team gets one medal each. The rules say nothing about singing or having dancing breaks during each match, but the guys do so anyway.
• 3:21:20 PD asks everyone to change into swimming clothes and meet at the pool. Phuwin has to study, so he won't join for the next activity.
• 3:39:00 Neo reads the directions. They're going to play the Werewolf (ma paa) game. Between the 7 of them, they will randomly get assigned roles: 2 werewolves (who can kill people), 1 bodyguard (who can choose someone to protect from death each round), 1 seer (who can privately uncover the identity of one other player each round), 1 hunter (who, if they are killed, can choose one other person they suspect of being a werewolf to die with them), and 2 villagers. PD will be the narratoreferee. The game is basically between the werewolves and everyone else. Each round, in order, the narrator will instruct the werewolves to choose someone to kill, then the bodyguard to choose someone to protect, then the seer to privately uncover the identity of one other player. Then everyone must talk and decide on one person to kill out of suspicion of being a werewolf. If both werewolves are killed, the common people win. If there's at least one werewolf left at the end of the game, the werewolves win.
  • [PD is a very dramatic and colourful narrator, which is why everyone is reacting to most of her lines throughout the game. Werewolf in Thai is "ma paa" and villagetownsperson is "chao baan," to help you guys understand what's going on. All the other roles are called in English, although sometimes they call the bodyguard "moh" which means doctor]

    • Second round: Pond dies. They vote to kill Khaotung

    • First round: Earth dies. They know someone is lying because too many people are claiming to be villagers. They think they should believe Neo because he was so honest last round. They vote to kill Khaotung.

  • 4:37:50 PD asks them to vote on the best and worst liar. They aren't sure yet, but Khaotung is voted the worst liar. Punishment is cleaning one of the bathrooms tomorrow.

  • Group 1: It's supposed to be the 4 top scorers on the medal board, but Khaotung is still showering, so Earth goes in his place because he's lowest. Neo did a bit more exercise with Luke this morning. They recap the walking doll game from the morning and how random and unpredictable it was. Mix was bitter that he felt like being King today was more of a burden than Luke's experience the previous day. Luke says it's probably because Mix's Thai is better, so they felt like using him for more jobs/tasks. They recap the cooking competition; Gun/Mix say they were lucky that they were on the team that had several options of people who knew how to cook. They talked about how the judging was biased, but Earth said that at the end, he had to admit the fact that Phuwin/Neo's dish was so sour that he could feel it in his brain. Gun/Mix were glad that they didn't have to wash dishes today because there were so many dishes to wash, and they made fun of Earth breaking the dish. They all enjoyed the sumo game. They started to regret that they started the singing/dancing gag, but they committed to it for entertainment purposes. They agreed that Khaotung is indeed the dark horse because no one expected him to be that quick in the sumo game. Everyone also had fun playing Werewolf.
    • 5:18:45 Fan comments: They like how Gun seems like the eldest brother in the house, taking care of everyone. People made fun of Earth's childhood dish-breaking story. (The guys eventually start talking amongst themselves, mainly about how Earth doesn't think he has a chance to win anymore, and they say that there are many more opportunities for medals in the coming days, so anything can happen)
  • 5:26:15 Group 2: They talk about how much Pond likes rice with Thai omelette [note: pretty much everyone in Thailand loves it, but Pond feels like eating it all the time], and he likes to make Phuwin make it for him in this house. They're all impressed with how good Khaotung was at the sumo game. Phuwin/Neo explain what happened during the cooking competition: Phuwin usually never eats "yum," but last week, his family made some but he didn't have any, so he regrets not having it so he would have a better idea of how to make it. Neo said he was just randomly putting things in without knowing for sure if they were supposed to go in. They made fun of Neo's dishwashing "technique." They recapped Werewolf, and everyone was unsure whether to trust/believe the things Neo says because he talks rubbish a lot.
    • 5:32:45 Fan comments: They mention that this has turned into a pure comedy show. They like how everyone works together and the vibe isn't overly competitive.

I have this lingerie set that I bought from Adore Me two years ago and to be honest, it fits poorly. The bra was a push up, but didn't actually push anything rather it just has a lot of space. Marketed for 36A, I'm a 36A so I'm confused lol. I never wear it for that reason other than when I don't have any more clean bras.
That's the thing tho, when I wear a cami or tank over it, and then wear my normal shirts over it, it looks much better and I see what I would look like with bigger boobs and it triggers the ever loving fuck out of me. I thought I was getting somewhere with my self acceptance, appreciating how my boobs look like (tbh they sit rather nice braless, they're perky and getting just a little rounder from caloric surplus) and not wanting to get surgery.
Then today I saw a girl with my similar frame try on the purple fairy dolls kill dress and I was super envious like damn, I wished my boobs looked like that while wearing dresses. I always wanted cleavage, have some va va voom, you know? Someone in the comments pointed out she got hers done and it had me thinking that I should go down that route. I even decided to find a doctor in Tijuana with good reviews, but I'm definitely stalling because 1) I don't have money, 2) maybe I'll feel better about myself and won't need to spend thousands to alter myself and can put the money to better use 3) I want to get tattoos first and have already made an appointment for this summer for a floral shoulder half sleeve.
I have a bf and he does love them but that's the thing, I really only care about my opinion about my body so at the end of the day, it's about how I feel about them. Yes, there were some bustier girls in his past that sent me spiraling, but I'm starting to get over that too. I'm one of 2 flatter women, so I wasn't too happy having that knowledge lmao. Maybe in my mind I just "want to be the best" in something that was socially desired and to know "that I lack" in that aspect hurt my ego.
I know I'm overall a very attractive woman. I've turned heads and I get plenty of compliments, so it's my overall beauty, my small boobs are part of the complete package. I'm also healthy and on a mainly glute-focused workout routine. I also hit upper body, so I've been seeing results everywhere. My arms, back, and legs have never looked better.
I feel like it would be helpful to not compartmentalize body parts and to just think of them as the "overall package". That's what helps me at least. Some days are better than others, and some days I see/hear something/someone that makes me feel like absolute shit.

This last week I took care of pets (dog walks for the two dogs & drop ins for the two cats).
TL;DR: I walked dogs and took care of two cats for a guy who was gone for a week. The animals were friendly but looked like they could use some basic vet care (shots, de-wormer, flea treatment). But the apartment was NASTY. How do I leave a review for this person/experience?
The Long Story: I did the initial Meet & Greet and was appalled at the apartment (pungent, unpleasant smells - animal smells), dried no-telling (cat vomit?) in various places on the furniture and carpet, kitchen was a mess... then he opens his refrigerator to show me the dog food and it's horrifying - sticky, brown goo on a lot of stuff, meat in a package that is leaking and hasn't been cleaned up... literally the nastiest home I've ever been in. I felt dirty just being in that apartment.
I met the dogs, who were together in the same kennel in a bedroom: a smaller husky and a corgi/blue heeler mix (corgi body, heeler color). He let them out so I could meet them and the corgi mix was excited, friendly, jumping on me (ouch, claws). The husky was very shy and timid and wouldn't let me touch her. The client said he'd only had her a few months and that he thinks she was abused because she's so scared around people.
This person was going to be gone for a week. The dogs were to stay in their kennel while I wasn't there; meanwhile, remember he's only booked me for one 30-minute dog walking session per day. I expressed my concern that the dogs would be locked up in their kennel for 23 hours a day and suggested he board them, either with a Rover sitter who does that (I cannot) or with a boarding service. He wasn't interested in that, and finally mentioned that the did have another friend who would be coming over in the afternoons to check on the dogs. He was like, "I have to keep them in the kennel while I'm not home because otherwise they'll pee and poop on the floor. I tried keeping Jade (corgi) just free in a room but she did this to the door" then proceeds to show me a door that was, and I am not exaggerating here, half a door. Dog had (supposedly) completely destroyed the bottom half of the door, up to like the doorknob. So dog(s) aren't house trained and also appear to be bored/anxious when the owner leaves. Great.
He couldn't tell me how much I should feed them. I asked, he showed me their food (some kind of special refrigerated fresh food subscription thing), canned wet food, and dry food. He just said, "Whatever you think" which is weird, folks. It's weird. He finally said he is trying to put weight on the husky (she was super skinny) and so he just feeds them however much they want. Just... idk.
I asked him about his vet, to which he replied he just "goes to whichever vet is available" when he needs something. I asked if the dogs were spayed, he said no. He also mentioned they had had shots a year ago (I'm guessing just the corgi had had shots a year ago, since he'd already said the husky he'd only had for a few months), but that he hadn't gotten them to the vet yet this year for their yearly shots.
Initially this person contacted me to just do dog walks (which I'm realizing now he probably should have booked me as drop ins and asked me to walk the dogs? I'm not really sure...), but I notice he has two cats as well. I asked him if he intended for me to take care of the cats. He was like, "Oh could you? That would be great." I said I could but that I would charge for that, which he was okay with. He asked me to show him how to add the cats to the dog walks and I had to walk him through how to even get to his profile on Rover on his iPad. He offered the iPad to me to let me navigate and I refused to touch it - it seemed as nasty as the apartment - crusty. I asked about litter boxes and he said "Oh don't worry about it, it'll be fine for a week" - it's two cats (I didn't find the second litter box until the last day I visited, so thought it was just one litter box the whole time), and that also seemed off to me. I did scoop the one litter box I knew about a few times just because I felt bad for the cat.
In my M&Gs, I always get the person's actual phone number but tell them that this is only for emergency purposes, if the Rover app is down or if I can't get a hold of them through the app, and that I always use the app to communicate. I told that thing to this guy. Who then proceeded to just text me stuff throughout his absence. I said something to him once about communicating through the app but he never would so I gave up. He would ask me to do things from time to time, from normal things like "Hey can you check to make sure the AC is on?" to odder things like "Would you turn on my playstation?" and "Would you make sure the hexagon lights are on?" smh
I probably shouldn't have taken the booking, but I did, and after the second day maybe I noticed what looked like worms in the dogs' stool. The corgi was very itchy, so I'm assuming fleas or something. I wrote messages every day after the dog walk and the cat drop in and mentioned the worms and the possibility of fleas and suggested, nicely, that he get them to the vet when he return. Long story short, the animals seemed loved and mostly cared for, but it seemed like either the guy didn't know how to care for animals or... I don't know. I kept thinking to myself, "They have a better life here than in a shelter. They have a better life here than in a shelter."
The rainbow in this horrible experience: the husky, initially extremely scared of me, started to trust me and show me her real personality and was an absolute doll the last few days I was there. I loved gaining her trust!
My main question is: How do I, or should I, leave a review for this person?

I need advice. I hadn’t talked to my ex in literal years. I’ve tried reaching out in the past and he would never respond because he was in another relationship. He had remained friends on Facebook with my brother and one random day he commented on a post I tagged my brother in. The dopemine rush I got from just that was unreal!!! After his comment I just said well hi and he liked it and that was that. Fast forward to a couple weeks later my mom was posting memories of family trips etc on Facebook tagging my brother and I. And he starts liking the posts. So i went to his page and looked at a recent picture and gathered all courage I had and messaged him. I told him I never realized how ginger he was until now and happy early birthday! We’re old now (he 34 and I 32)! Because his birthday was the next day. To my surprise he responded right away, saying he’s just ginger on his face and balls not his head hair, and thank you!! So what does my dirty ass do? I told him to prove it lol and he says what’s there to prove? I don’t believe you have big tits and you know where that lead! Lmfao! He then starts saying he wants some birthday cake and not the cake you’re thinking! Literally wanted me to come to his house that night. I was flabbergasted because I thought he was engaged? Did him and ole girl break up? They had to of because he wouldn’t be responding to me him he was with her. I didn’t even ask because it’s not my business. He proceeded to keep asking my plans that night and I’m sorry but I was not prepared for all that I wanted to look GREAT when I seen him so I asked if I could have a rain check and he was like idk can you? I told him I liked that and of course, and he was like ok then and I left it as that and he continued to text me at midnight saying what’s the word raincheck? And I’m thinking like obviously bc if I just ran right over I’m clearly still whipped after all this time. So now it’s the next day his birthday april 27, and he asks what time is cake served ? Like bro am I dreaming?? Bc this is insane god what plans do you have ? I went out bought all new makeup, new outfit, sexy bra, underwear, lmfao I got to looking my best. He was over his sisters having some drinks with them and my brother was with his friends out having some drinks so I ended up meeting my brother at a bar nearby to my exs house when I was waiting for him to say what the plan was. He randomly just shows up at the bar we are at. It was so crazy being next to him, seeing him, hearing his voice after so long. I’m getting emotional just thinking about it. I bought him some bday drinks and we all had a great time just catching up. He’s done great for himself. I’m really proud of the person he’s become. My brother was like so we’re all curious what happened to ole girl and he was like none of your business (just as I thought) but he later told him she was a bad alcoholic and never knew if he’d come home to her in lingerie or a bad bad fight. So he made her leave. I have no idea how long it’s been since then. 2am came fast and he invited my brother and I back to his place. We just hungout there talking and smoked one. Until it got real late and he said he was tired and was calling it a night. Nothing happened. I hugged him and wished him a happy bday. And we left. I was sad but relived bc I didn’t want to seem that easy. He texted me once I got home saying thanks for the drinks and it was nice catching up and he would’ve had some cake if it wasn’t the three of us. After that, he texted me the next day because my brother lost his keys somehow so he was asking if yo the three of us. And that we did, we talked about the past the present things going on in our lives our jobs. Or dogs, how our families were doing who died. Sent pictures back-and-forth of stuff. The weekend after I seen him, he went up north to open up his camper and said that I could’ve came, but I would’ve been bored because there wouldn’t have been much to do. I’m kicking myself now because I should have just said I’ll go. I don’t care about being bored as long as I’m hanging out with you, but I was too dumb to even think of that. He even brought that up, man logic I guess. His whole ride up north to his place he was sending me dick pics and I was sending some stuff back so literally I started putting this whole scenario in my mind like we were gonna maybe start hanging out again. I really had no big expectations. I just wanted him in my life again. We only spent three years together when we were real young and I made some dumb choices back then which I totally regret and if I didn’t make those choices, my life would be so different today. I don’t think we would have ever broke up. He was the love of my life and still is because I have never loved anyone like I have loved him. We kept texting. I would ask him how his day was or he would ask me how my day went but it wasn’t as much. Now it’s been 3 weeks since I’ve seen him and 10 days since we even talked. Idk what to do. The last time we talked, I kind of made a fool out of myself telling them about fantasies of having my panties cut off with a knife then put it to my throat and yeah he was laughing but after that, I haven’t heard anything from him. I do too much sometimes and I embarrass myself and I think that’s exactly what I did. I want to reach out to him. I want to talk to him, but I kind of feel like it’s in his hands. What do I do? I almost feel like he’s just not interested. Was he just looking to get laid that night but then why would you proceeded to talk to me for almost a week and a half every single day, continue to send dick pics and talk about inviting me up north. It doesn’t make sense I don’t know what’s appropriate and what’s not in our situation. I know that he’s probably still hurt about his ex. They were with each other for over 10 years and we’re gonna get married. I’m sure that has left him hurt in someway, but obviously it’s none of my business. I just don’t know what to do.

I'm new to this group, but I needed to share this because of how powerful it was to me. This was my first mediation where I didn't fall asleep, and fully let myself go. I'll start with some background context.
I've been reading about Wicca on and off in chunks of life since roughly 16 or 17, starting when I bought Teen Witch by Silver RavenWolf. Since then I keep getting pulled back to Wicca after being raised Roman Catholic. With my family religion pretty heavily set, I never really fully pursued Wicca. My heavy focus would come in waves, I'd get a few signs or hints, get the feeling, read more, then something in life would happen to distract me, bad relationship, drug addiction (which I've overcome), bad car accident... I'm 37 now, and this time I'm finally listening to those that have been calling me for all this time.
This past week I feel like my entire focus has been on Wicca. I was browsing Amazon for random starter items, I bought a new binder, loose leaf paper, have a dedicated pen. I haven't wanted to do anything aside from study and meditate. I'm a new homeowner, so I don't really have older collections of items that mis-match that I can dedicate to ritual. I do have stuff to donate, so a trip to the thrift store is in the works. Finance, thankfully, isn't of concern, I just know I'll get attracted to something more meaningful later on and eventually replace the tools I start with.
For now, I cut a fresh 18"x18" piece of nice astrology printed fabric I had yardage of in my stash, bought two prayer candles one red one white, wafted them with my incense while thinking of negativity leaving the objects, and put them on my kitchen counter with the incense, and that's my little shrine for now. I am not doing any ritual workings with these items, yet at least, they are just a daily reminder to me. The next day I got home from work and did a white light visualization on the items. I felt a little off not doing that in the first place, but also thought about how Advent candles aren't blessed/cleansed and felt a little better. I then wanted a glass of red wine and a chocolate chip cookie, and I poured some for the Goddess, and split the cookie with the God. Now, a few days later, the energy feels different, in a good way.
Tonight, I had a nice sit outside with my earbuds in and meditated... until I thought about refinishing the guest bathtub... then focused back on the 64-65% Waxing Gibbous Moon 🌔 in Virgo ♍ (I'm a Virgo on the Libra cusp) looking upon me. My palo santo sticks should be arriving Saturday so I can cleanse the house, so although I can meditate anywhere, I wanted to be under the Moon for this one. This was just me finding my way with a little more "structured" meditation (a.k.a. stay awake for this one.) I kinda wanted it to be a self-dedication, but I didn't do a cleansing bath/shower, so the actual intent was to be a meditation.
I have read a couple hypnosis books a long time ago, as well as a psychic-work book, who knows if they were novelties, but the hypnosis techniques I've seen in the books have shown up in other places. They stuck with me through life, so I've worked with them on myself to help get to sleep, relax, refocus... This time focusing on the piano in the music I had on helped me really tune down. I played the piano a lot when I was younger so I connect with it and music, and a bit crafty with yarn and other media now.
I was laying on my back on the patio couch two-seater whatever, one of the back part cushions to my back against the arm part, one to my right against the actually back part, feet pointing to about 250°W according to my phone compass, mere degrees before it changes to SW... actually I started sitting facing close to 160°S and eventually layed down to the West position after turning the patio lights off at 21:19:15-20, according to my camera. I just looked up at the Moon, let my mind zone out... I started to drop into beta, but then refinishing the bathtub came back up because I want to have a cleansing soak but the finish is chipping. I refocused and looked at the stick on the screen that was slightly offset the Moon. The clouds started to collect, eventually blocking out the Moon, so I closed my eyes and was able to get back to where I was. Visualizing the Moon made my mind race about deities, like I needed to name names and know right now instead of let the discovery happen as it should. I took a few deep breaths, relaxed my body toes to head, and finally let go.
I had envisioned myself walking naked, in a lightly dewed forest, still a bit misty (I know, cliché, right? It's peaceful, shut up. 😂) It's where I wanted to be at that moment. It was like a blend of a forest and jungle, more foresty. Like the transition between the two biomes, but not in a defined split line. I went to sit between some trees, blinked, and was then viewing a 2-tier stream with many many river stones scattered down the banks. Some of them, as well as trees, covered in moss, some of the trees with vines crawling on them.
There was a human form sitting cross-legged with palms on knees and eyes closed on the right corner overlooking the waterfall to it's right, and the straight path it was flowing a few feet below, running towards and under me to the left. The masculine form had short brown hair, blue eyes like mine (he had opened his eyes later on in this visualization), probably 150-ish lbs. For reference, I have dirty blonde hair, 5'9" and 115 lbs.
The forest-jungle behind the man had the standard depiction; lighted areas, dark areas, light shining through moving leaves. I was viewing the form face to face, but a small distance away and my eye-level slightly higher than the top of the form's head. I somewhat felt an attraction to the man's looks. With me being such a small framed person all my life, I've been wanting to gain weight to a healthy range, start working out, and improve my self-confidence in the appearance department. Over the years it's made me a bit shy and timid in groups and meeting people.
My first thought of the form was "Oh that man looks so peaceful." I watched him sit for a minute. For some reason I started to grow concerned about his appearance, almost in a judgmental way. I wasn't picking him apart, I started to compare myself. I felt like that was what I wanted to look like.
Then my hearing started to activate. The music in my earbuds was still there, but sounds from the waterfall started to grow louder on my right, and I could feel the wet ground, the peacefulness, and the energy flowing upwards from my root out my crown... "Wait... why is the waterfall sound on my right? It's to my left." "Why does my butt feel wet?" "Who is that guy?" ...Then I realized...
That form was me. My sight and coherent thought coming from the third-person, feeling and hearing with the sitting form. My concerns grew very heavy as to why the form didn't look like me, if it was in fact me. It almost became unnerving, and I began to deny that the form was me.
I knew it was me, I could feel it.
Still watching in third-person perspective, my form rose up into a standing position, but as if a hand picked it up and the legs went limp and dropped, and the arms propped up on the fingers like a doll, slightly off the ground. The form's head went bald, like all the hairs just decided to jump ship and disappear, my blonde hair grew, and I was placed right back to where I was, looking as I am today, and thrown into first-person perspective, looking though my glasses (astigmatism so the glasses make everything sharper around the edges). I was looking out over the edge of the small waterfall to my right, it went further down into the forest.
Roughly ten feet away, the stream split in two, the left path essentially going straight out in front of me, the second path branching to the right. The forest grew dark and misty as it went on to the left. In the upper-right of my vision there was a break in the trees from the water feature leading to the right with the Sun shining warmly down on everything, including myself. I was hovering over this split in the stream while in the third person, so I couldn't see it before... The Sun felt amazing, surrounding me in warmth and peacefulness.
I stood up to investigate the small sun-soaked pool formed at the split. Then I heard racoons picking at the cat food I left out for my neighbors cat and it snapped me out of it. 😡
I stomped my foot a bit and scared them off. I did see a little one with them so I feel bad, but cat food isn't what they should be eating. Plus I don't want that habit to grow and attract them more.
I brought the cat food in after turning the patio lights back on at 21:46:45, again according to the video. The stick of Nag Champa probably had an inch left. I sat back down and looked up. There was a long break in the clouds and it was just the moon looking down on me through the patio screen and the little stick. I couldn't help but smile.

Creole dangled that final favor over my head for a few weeks. He didn’t summon me or even contact me as if he was dragging out my final task until he truly felt like doing so. While it annoyed me, I eventually found it to be a blessing. It allowed me to process everything that had happened to me and recharge my batteries. I also did my best to avoid mirrors after my hotel ordeal with my corrupted reflection. Every time I even passed a mirror it felt like at any moment she burst through the mirror and rip me into pieces.
After almost 3 weeks of silence from Creole, I was sitting home alone, having agreed to help my parents fill out their taxes while they continued to work themselves to the bone. I didn’t exactly know what I was doing but I figured that no one ever really knows what they’re doing when they fill out a tax form. I was in the process of chewing the end of my eraser when our doorbell rang.
Now I’m usually the type of person who never answers the door when the doorbell rings. If I don’t know that you’re coming over beforehand then I ain’t answering the door. But something about this doorbell felt different. And after all, I wasn’t getting anywhere with my parent’s tax forms; other than the feeling of dread with how badly we were faring even with both of them working two jobs. So I stood up from the kitchen table and made my way over to the door.
“Jacob?” I asked with surprise and a bit of shock when I saw the bellboy standing at my door. He waved to me happily and then reached into his pocket and pulled out an envelope, handing it to me. I took it from him and was greeted by the familiar handwriting that Creole’s notes carried. “Why didn’t he just call me?” I asked Jacob, forgetting that Creole’s bellboy was now a mute. He simply pointed at the envelope. I looked down at it, opened it, and began to read.
“Mace! So sorry that I’m not able to call you. I’m currently out of town on a business trip. But this is the perfect opportunity for your final favor! Jacob is here to lead you to the shop where I’ve left further instructions. And don’t worry about anyone seeing y’all. Not like anyone will believe ya if you told em. Best regards, K.C.”
That last sentence felt like a threat. It was something that existed constantly in the back of my mind. Especially after I found out that Creole had the police in his pocket. It was best to just grit my teeth, get this final favor done, and never have to think of Ol’ King Creole’s Half Priced Voodoo Store ever again.
“Just give me a minute to get my things,” I told Jacob. He nodded quickly and gave me a thumbs-up. He was such a different person now that it was scary. I hadn’t known Jacob well in high school but seeing him like this caused me to feel sorry for him. He certainly didn’t deserve this, it wasn’t his fault that I had gotten stabbed by one of his customers. And yet it was my fault that he was now a servant of the same monster that held my own life in his gloved hands.
I allowed Jacob into the house while I headed upstairs, followed by the thoughts that filled me with guilt over what had happened to him. I applied more of Creole’s ointment so that my scar and stitches would continue to be hidden. I gathered my lockpicking tools and my pepper spray and finally joined Jacob downstairs. He was busy looking at the pictures hung up on my wall and when he noticed me he quickly spun on his heels and gave me a salute, a cheery smile on his stitched-up mouth.
“Let’s just get this over with,” I told him, barely able to stand his overly cheery demeanor. He nodded and followed me outside. I locked the door and followed him as he led me toward the voodoo store. As I followed Jacob, I took the letter he had given me and started reading it again. Something was bothering me.
“Where the hell does he need to go to be on a business trip?” I asked Jacob, again as if the mute bellboy could answer me. He shrugged his shoulders as he continued down the sidewalk. I looked back down at the letter and suddenly got a terrible feeling about something. Were there other freaks like Creole? If one freak exists, it only makes sense that others also exist. This horrible line of thought was abruptly halted when I walked into Jacob. I was about to get pissed at him but then I realized that we’d arrived at the voodoo shop.
“Oh,” I said, my cheeks getting warm with embarrassment. I had been so absorbed in my thoughts that we’d arrived in record time. Jacob just smiled and opened the door for me, I mouthed a quick thanks and entered the shop hoping to leave my embarrassment outside. Every voodoo doll quickly turned to look at me as soon as I entered. I quickly held my hands up to show them that it was me, and Jacob entering the store behind me put them all at ease. I guessed that they were some sort of security system for when their boss was away.
Jacob led me to Creole’s office and as we passed the basement door whatever was down there quickly began pounding at the door. It surprised me so badly that I screamed and quickly rushed past Jacob toward the office, putting as much distance as I could from the creature in the basement. I entered Creole’s office and quickly sat myself down on the comfy chair where I had received my life-saving surgery from Creole. Jacob followed after me and closed the door behind us.
He went behind Creole’s desk and began searching for something. I meanwhile finally took full notice of Creole’s office, since the last time I had been there I had been on death’s door. His office was filled with photos with a grand majority of them being scratched out in some way. All except one on his desk. I reached out and grabbed the picture frame to look at it. It was an old black-and-white photo of a man and a woman.
“Is that…” I held the photo closer to my eyes to examine it. The man was tall with messy black hair. “Creole?” I whispered to myself as the figure in the picture was a dead-ringer for Creole. Of course minus the button eyes and stitches across his mouth and neck. Just as I was about to examine the woman, the photo was suddenly snatched from my hands. I just about had a heart attack thinking that Creole had somehow returned and taken it from me. But it was only Jacob with more of my directions.
“Right, sorry,” I told him as I accepted the couple of pieces of paper he handed to me. There were Creole’s usual doodles of what I had to retrieve though these were the strangest ones yet. Though thinking back now it certainly seemed hard to top a clock that caused you to decay and a mirror that creates a horror version of yourself.
Creole wanted me to steal some sort of file and a porcelain doll. The porcelain doll made sense, the wall of voodoo dolls was enough to prove Creole’s obsession with dolls. But the file was what interested me more. What exactly did he want that for? Was it some sort of haunted file or something? I looked at the next page which was another letter. Why he couldn’t have just told me everything in the first letter was lost to me.
“Mace! By now Jacob should’ve given you the target of my current desire. After you’ve finished reading this and are ready to begin your final favor he’ll take you to your target. And I’m sure you’re dying to know where it is. It’s in a lovely Massachusetts mansion! The owner rarely ever goes there anymore so it should be a walk in the park for you! Just this last favor and you can finally go free.” He didn’t bother signing this one, but I could care less. The third paper appeared to be completely blank, so I just shoved that into my pocket with everything else.
“Well, I guess I’m ready,” I told Jacob as I stood up. He nodded and reached into his pocket. He rummaged around in there for a moment before he pulled out a key. The bow of it was a skull, which probably meant that it was a skeleton key of some sort. I’m sure Creole had gotten a kick out of it for that reason. The bellboy inserted the key into Creole’s office door and turned it. Before my eyes and Jacob’s buttons, the door began to morph and change into a much more ornate and fancier one. The golden initials CS were stamped onto each door and Jacob swung the door open for me.
“Wish me luck,” I said as he handed to key to me. I assumed so I could make a quick escape if the situation called for it. He held a thumbs up and waved goodbye to me as I stepped through the doors.
I had to blink my eyes furiously after entering the mansion as I was blasted with natural lighting that blinded me when compared to the dimly lit voodoo shop. This place was massive, from a giant chandelier above my head, to massive windows that let in plenty of sunlight into the mansion. But even despite its grandeur it felt, cold. Both in temperature and in feeling. It was the beginning of fall but even so, there wasn’t any reason for it to be this cold. Cold enough to see my breath. I shivered as I took my few steps forward into the mansion.
Right at the entrance next to the grand staircase was a giant family portrait of who I at first assumed were the owners of this massive palace. But judging by the clothes the woman was wearing and the style of suit the older man was wearing I quickly judged that they must be some kind of ancestors. The woman and man both had their hands on the boy in front of them. The mother and I assumed her son both had blonde hair, while the father had thick brown hair with a giant mustache.
“Where would this file be?” I wondered to myself after a moment of staring at the giant portrait. I reached into my pocket to try and find something in Creole’s notes. And to my surprise, the previously blank sheet of paper had suddenly transformed into a map of the mansion. To my surprise the file wasn’t located upstairs but in a downstairs office. Armed with this knowledge, I started making my way towards it, checking the map every so often so that I wouldn’t become lost in the maze of hallways and rooms that this mansion possessed.
The cold started getting to me as I shivered uncontrollably and vapors of breath poured from my mouth. The quicker I got this over with the better, not only as my final favor but because I wasn’t about to have myself catch a cold over this. Finally, I made it to the correct door. I tried to turn the knob and found it locked. I half expected this to just be a snatch-and-go, but I supposed that there was a reason Creole sent me.
Getting on my knees and warming up my hands with my breath, I quickly went about trying to pick this lock. What immediately struck me was how old this lock was. Not like rusty and about to fall apart old but in design old. I’d never come across a lock like this and I had to figure out how to actually go about picking it. My shaking hands and body also added to my struggles and I dropped my tools on more than one occasion.
Finally, after ten minutes of fumbling, cursing, and giving up once, I finally managed to open the door. “Let’s fucking go!” I shouted in excitement. Covering my mouth quickly as my voice echoed throughout the mansion. I quickly entered the room and closed the door behind me. I was surprised to see that it wasn’t an office, but more like a storage room with a few boxes and filing cabinets. He really wasn’t going to make this easy on me, was he?
I opened a few of the filing cabinets and found many of them empty, which sped up the process of finding the file I needed. It was the second to last one that finally yielded results. The only problem was that this cabinet was full of files. Just as I was about to try and steal all of them, one of them caught my eye. I was flipping through them and cursing Creole with every file that I flicked past when one felt different from the others. Mostly because it had a paperclip attached to it and a photo. I pulled this file out and looked down at it. The picture was of a woman who looked exactly like the woman at the entrance of the mansion. Opening it I read through it a little.
Abigail A. Sinclair.
Fell into deep and uncontrollable hysteria after the death of her husband, Cornelius A. Sinclair, and the return of her son from the war. Her son has seen fit to place her under the care of the Boston Psychopathic Hospital. Her son has requested that he not be informed of her progress or if she passes away in our care.
“Jeez,” I said as I flipped through more of the file. The most striking were two photos, one was of Abigail when she was mentally well and the next was her locked in a straight jacket and completely a shell of her former elegant self. Her hair was wild and her face was twisted into a look of intense fear and sorrow. I reached into my pocket to consult my magic pages and found that the map had now turned into a simple phrase.
“That one,” was all it said now. I looked back down at the file and stared at the haunting eyes of Abigail. I felt horrible for her, and I could only wonder what Creole wanted this for. But it was better for me not to think about that. I closed the file and tucked it under my armpit. The paper now changed back to a map and was leading me back towards the main entrance. Walking down the hallways was quicker now that I had an idea of where I was going, and I was back at the main entrance in no time.
The paper now told me to head up the grand staircase upstairs into one of the bedrooms. I assumed to Abigail’s room since judging by her file and the massive portrait she didn’t have a daughter. So I started making my way up the stairs, each of my footsteps echoing throughout the halls. At the top of the stairs, I was greeted by a different portrait, one of a tired-looking man in a suit. He had deep bags under his eyes and perfectly combed blonde hair.
“This must be the son,” I said as I approached the portrait. His scowl was enough to send a chill up my spine. It felt like his angry hazel eyes were staring deep into my soul. I shivered hard and quickly moved past the portrait. I reached Abigail’s room and was happy to see that it was open. The room was pristine and perfect in every way. It felt like it had been deliberately kept this way and I was intruding on a museum piece.
There, sitting on the bed, was the doll. A small little porcelain one. I was going to have to be careful lest I end up accidentally dropping and shattering it. I walked to the bed and carefully picked her up. All I had to do now was make it back to the office and I would never have to deal with shit like this ever again.
I exited the bedroom and headed towards the stairs, passing the portrait of the son. Just as I did I was suddenly and violently grabbed by the throat. In my surprise and shock at being suddenly attacked, I dropped everything I was holding to grip the mystery hand that was choking me. I watched in terror as the porcelain doll began to fall to the floor. Instead of shattering into a million pieces though it was caught in midair by something.
“May I ask what you’re doing here?” A deep voice asked me. I looked up toward the portrait and stared at it as it seemed to come to life. The son stepped right out of the portrait and continued his death hold on me while the doll floated up next to him. I don’t exactly know how he expected me to answer him, but he gave me an opportunity after he dropped me to the floor.
“Wh-” I gasped as I tried to suck in air only to be met with a skeletal goopy form staring at me from the floor. I let out a croak that was supposed to be a scream before falling backward and almost falling down the giant staircase.
“That freak sent you here, didn’t he?” The man asked as he looked down at me on the floor. The strange goopy creature slithered around him like some kind of snake before perching itself on his shoulder and letting out strange gurgles from its bright white mouth. Two beady white eyes stared down at me along with the exhausted eyes of the man who had just stepped out of a painting.
“C-Creole?” I asked him, standing up and reaching into my pocket, rubbing my thumb across my pepper spray. I didn’t know if it would do anything to him, but I needed some sort of protection and this was all I had in that department.
“Yes, that bastard,” he said as he took the file from the creature as it lifted it towards him. He took it and the moment his eyes saw the picture of his mother I could tell he wanted to kill me right there. “Why the fuck would he want this?” he asked me, his creature slithering over to me and opening its giant white maw.
“I-I don’t know! He just told me to get these things!” I told the son, quickly holding my hand up and uncapping my pepper spray. The creature stopped just before it could eat me and then quickly slithered back over to its master. I lowered my hand and watched as the creature morphed into the shape of his shadow.
“Sending a woman to do his dirty work. I knew he was pathetic but not this pathetic,” he hissed and I could immediately tell that he saw me as less than a parasite. His tired eyes were burning with rage as stared at me. I figured he was trying to figure out what to do to me. And I wasn’t going to let him think that over. I pulled my pepper spray out and quickly sprayed him with it.
That caught him off guard and he let out a pained shout, quickly covering his eyes with his arm. That summoned his creature back from his shadow, in fact as I saw him emerge once again it was obvious that the thing was his shadow. I had gotten the spray’s fumes in my own eyes and they began to sting and tears started streaming from them. I took this opportunity to sprint down the stairs. It's some miracle that I didn’t fall and break my shit.
I made it to the main entrance and quickly fished in my pocket for the skeleton key. I shoved it into the keyhole and turned it. I watched and waited for the door to finish morphing and when it did I flung the door open and slammed it shut behind me. I panted and sniffled as now my nose began to run uncontrollably along with the tears in my eyes. I felt a pair of hands hold my face up and suddenly cold water being poured onto my face.
“Jacob?” I asked as the pain and tears began to subside. His pale smiling face was more comforting to me than anything else could’ve been. I shoved my face into his bright red uniform and hugged him tightly. The floodgates opened, I don’t know if it was from the pepper spray or my latest near-death experience but I began to cry uncontrollably into Jacob’s chest. He wrapped his arms around me and gave me a soft hug.
“Macedonia.” Creole’s voice broke this brief comfort session. I looked up from Jacob’s chest and whimpered softly upon seeing him there staring back at me. “I take it, that it didn’t go well?” Creole asked with a smile still on his face. I shook my head and gripped Jacob as if he was going to save me in some way.
“I-I’m sorry sir…he…he came out of the painting and..who was that?” I asked as my thoughts ran at a million miles an hour. Jacob produced a napkin from his pocket and offered it to me. I took it and wiped my eyes and blew my nose.
“That would be a lovely associate of mine. Constantine Sinclair. He doesn’t take too kindly to my antics I’m afraid. Unfortunate that you weren’t able to get those items. I would’ve loved to have that kind of information to hold over his stupid blonde hair.” Creole sighed as he sat down behind his desk.
“Where even were you?” I asked as Creole looked at me. He smiled at me and watched as Jacob continued to comfort me. He seemed to watch us for a moment as he digested the question that I had just asked him.
“I was at a lovely dinner with my other associates and Sinclair. It was going just about as well as it normally does when Sinclair suddenly stood up from the table and immediately headed towards the door. I take it you must have tripped some kind of alarm.” Creole said with a laugh as he began to drum his fingers on his desk.
I stared at him for a moment as I tried to figure out in my head where he could’ve possibly had some sort of alarm. Then I remembered the painting. Was there something about it that he could see through it? Was that how he had been able to see me inside his mansion?
Jacob helped me stand back up and bowed to the two of us before leaving the office. Creole stared at me with those giant buttons for what felt like an eternity. I was sure that he was going to do something horrible to me for this second failure to complete a task for him.
“Welp, a deal’s a deal, Mace.” He shrugged his shoulders as he leaned back in his chair. “You’re free to go.” He shooed me away as he looked down at his desk. I stood there in shock. Surely it wasn’t going to be this easy, was it? Just as I turned to leave though he stopped me.
“There is one more thing though.” The tone in which he said this sent a chill up my spine. He was giddy with excitement and also ominously followed by low chuckles. “Your daddy came to visit me the other day.”
I spun on my heels quickly and stared at him. He was resting his head on his hand and smiled at me. The smile was one of superiority over me.
“He begged me to help with his financial situation. And I’m inclined to help him. Of course, if he doesn’t think his wish over thoroughly. I’d hate to see a repeat of your friends and Jacob.” He threatened me as he drummed his fingers on his desk.
“Stay away from my family,” I warned him, even though I had nothing to back it up with. He giggled at that and stood up from his chair.
“Or what? You’ll call the police? You’ll kill me?” He hummed and shook his head. “How about a trade? I spare your father, and your mother for good measure. And you become my permanent errand girl.” His gross yellow smile sharpened into fangs as he stared at me.
I clenched my fists tightly. I had no choice. He had every good card in the deck. He had a royal flush and I had a one-of-a-kind. I wanted nothing more than to rip his head off. Maybe even go back and try and work for the blondie. But I was stuck here now in this moment.
“I want it in writing. I don’t want you changing the deal.” I demanded. He nodded quickly and reached behind his desk to produce a contract.
“Feel free to read it.” He slid it across the desk toward me. I walked over to it and looked down at it. It was everything he had told me beforehand without any fine print for me to read. He offered me a pen and twirled it around his fingers as I stared at it in thought.
“How long for?” I asked him as I took the pen from him.
“Until I get bored with you,” he said with a smile. I stared at him and then down at the paper. I love my mom and dad more than anything in this world. Including myself. So I signed the paper. I watched as my signature melted into the paper and turned into gold letters on the page.
“Wonderful! You’re free to go home. Don’t worry about Sinclair either. I’ll handle him.” He shooed me away as he rolled the paper up and caused it to disappear from his gloved fingers. I silently left his office in complete defeat. Jacob was waiting at the door for me and he opened it for me.
“Thanks…” I mumbled to him as I left the shop and started my way home. This was my life now. Stuck in a contract with a horrible voodoo monster with no possible way out until he got bored with me. I had no way of escaping this. All I had going for me was that for now, my family was safe. And really at the end of the day. That’s all I wanted.

TL:DR: We still don't know what made Wakana feel so depressed, and even if he finally invited Marin to a date, things are getting worse, and also Non-chan returned.
Before we begin. it's worth mentioning that the manga is still in monthly schedule, and its coming a week later than usual. Also this is a short chapter, but with a nuclear impact.
The huge success with Haniel's cosplay is making everyone talk about it. Also, Shiba Tokio prasing the cosplay with a retweet was a huge boost to it. His editing team also started a tireless search looking for both Marin and Wakana. This will be important for them later, since the world is now looking for those people who made the world shake.

Going back to our couple, there's a short online chat between them. Last chapter, Marin avoided talking with Wakana about why he was so deppresed at the end of Comikon because they had an unexpected family meeting. Now it appears that she wanted to talk about it after asking him if he was asleep. After he wakes up, Marin tries to ask him about the topic. Now theres two possibilities here:

• The first one is that I see most likely to happen: Wakana didn't notice that she noticed his expression in Comikon, and thought she wanted to do another cosplay.
• The second that I highly doubt: Wakana playing dumb and trying to avoid the topic. I don't see it happening because he still is open to Marin with many things (like he refusing to watch her in Veronica cosplay, being in pain after she suggested using "dirty tricks" with the bunny suit, etc).

Now there's the huge W. Wakana tells her that he's going to go to hina dolls festivals, and he invites her. This is the first time Wakana asks her for a date, instead of cosplay or to make food for her. While this is a great step, there's no doubt that this move was totally influenced by his thoughts back in Comikon. It's clear that Wakana likes her too, but his low image of himself doesn't allow him to go further (until now, at least)
Notice that Marin's phone has the photo with Wakana and his friends. Also, his eyes are very tired, so probably he invited her after crying/being scared like in the final page of 101.
Of course, Marin accepts. This was her first time going to something like this, making us remember Wakana's first time going to the fireworks' festival. Although both enjoyed visiting the hina dolls exhibitions, the lack of communication in their relationship is making them feel horrible. Marin really wants to ask him about what happened, but she's waiting until they are in private. But now, they are wearing masks, hiding from each other, and then we got one of the most heartbreaking panels in the manga:
...
Whatever Wakana thought back then, I see him in a similar situation. The fact that he ignored his low selfesteem, and invited her to meet him, it gives me the idea that he also wants to talk about it. Not to confess his romantical feelings, but about what he realized in that moment.
After that, Wakana plans to show Marin the hina dolls his family makes (asking his cousing for help), since she has only seen the tools. I see this as a good sign, since he was going to show his most special stuff to her, with one of his family members present. Then we get him sharing something very personal about him: Hina dolls helped him overcome his parents deaths, and he's very grateful with Gramps for showing them to him. And that he wants to become a kashirashi, before Gramps dies (the fact that he shares something like that with her, makes me think that he won't keep secret what he thought in Comikon, because he trusts Marin very much).
Marin is in shock about this, and after Wakana apologized and said that hina dolls were his main focus, she's even more worried. She knows very well what his dreams are, and she supported him the moment he mentioned it to her in the earliest chapters. But also, she could fear that their friendship will end because she fears that Wakana is upset about not reaching his Haniel's perfect image. Still, it was a moment that made Marin feel more scared and not wanting to mention the Comikon Incident.

Now, we have 2 main enemies coming back from nowhere and ruining important moments:
After Wakana told Marin about his future, he asks her what she wants to do after highschool. After a brief flashback with the professional recluiter, she's going to mention the pro offer, but surprise, fucking Phone-kun attacks again.

Since she didn't want to talk about his expression in Comikon in public, its obvious that she was going to mention the pro offer. Still, I don't see her accepting it:

• She has the modeling job
• She mentions that cosplay is a hobby for her
• She only wants to do this with Wakana, and accepting the offer will mean that this would end not only that, but their relationship, since it would be so awful to leave him just like that.

Now, the insane chapter ending that (naturally) no one expected:

I noticed Fukuda was bringing back forgotten characters, like Marin's dad and Wakana's cousin (or even Nowa, althought she isn't really forgotten). I was joking a few days before the chapter released, when I said that Non-chan might come back, but I really never expected it to happen. It was a lucky guess, or that's what I want to believe. But here we are, the main reason of why Wakana became isolated from the world, suddenly in front of him, Marin, and his family.
Obviously something is going to happen here. I want to think that Wakana kept in secret from his family about what she did to him, but if she was a close friend, his family would have noticed that she suddenly stopped being with Wakana and that something about that happened. Regardless of that, they are suddenly in front of each other for the first time in years. If she has matured, Non-chan will apologize for what she did to him, but Marin definitely will be furious if she knows what she did to Wakana.
Hina dolls were the thing that made Wakana feel safe and happy when he lost his parents, and Non-chan just attacked him in his most vulnerable part. He's strong, but that sudden appearance out of nowhere could leave him paralyzed. Even if Wakana has matured and forgives her, she probably won't stay in his life, since Marin has been the one who took him out of the trauma Non-chan caused to him.

And to those fuckers who think there's going to be a love-triangle with Marin, Wakana and Non-chan, I'm sorry (not at all) to inform you that Wakana won't fall in love with the person who caused a huge damage to his life. And Non-chan just showed up, why would you think she has feelings for him?. Even if she falls in love with him later, just read this paragraph again. Also, Marin is not going to leave Wakana. The fact that they are both in pain right now and that she got a professional cosplay offer, doesn't mean that she will ignore all the things Wakana has done for her.
And this concludes the chapter. Like before, we got more questions than answers (and it personally makes me excited). And we have to wait another month (and week) for the next chapter. The shortness of this chapter got compensated with the huge impact it made. Now, at some point, either Marin or Wakana are going to talk, and there's going to be a huge discussion about that situation, but we trust they solve this together and the prize will be that they finally start going out as a romantical couple. And no, I don't expect romantical progression for a few chapters.
Winners have to go through pain to reach their goals and be happy. And Wakana definitely will endure and overcome all of that pain.

My senior Peke, Twinkie, is around 10 years old now. She's been on phenobarbital for a little over 2 months to control idiopathic epilepsy. Well, I swear, I have a totally different dog now!
For the most part, she seems happier, more active and playful. But it almost seems like the pheno "reactivated" an old spinal injury (7+ years ago) that left her partially paralyzed temporarily - she could walk and potty just fine, but she had no feeling or reaction to stimuli to her rear paws (the vet said her being mobile was involuntary or subconscious, or out of instinct or habit?). She was on crate rest for 6 weeks and on prednisone, rimadyl and dasuquin advanced, and after all that, she was back to normal. And now, she's very wobbly in the rear end, clumsy, and when playing with a toy will throw it around and sort of pivot on her butt to turn to get it, so she's using her whole front of her body, but barely any of her butt or back legs. She walks, runs, jumps and potties just fine, though, so it doesn't seem to be a problem. Her labs and liver levels 3 weeks after starting the pheno were normal. Anyways...
Here's the weird stuff:

1. She has never been a dog to get into trouble or find mischief. She plays with her toys nicely and never breaks or rips them. All of sudden, Twinkie is a naughty pants! Yesterday, she found one of my adult kid's dirty socks, and I caught her chewing on it! She let me take it and put it up without a problem. But today, she found another sock, and did NOT want to give it up. Out of fear of getting bitten, my kid used my grabber tool to try to take it, and Twinkie went after it! What the heck? It's like she was invoking my first Peke, Lily, whose favorite "toys" were my late husband's dirty socks!!! I've never seen another dog do that in the last 15 years! Lily never guarded them in a nasty way, but in a teasing way. She wouldn't even play with toys, JUST the socks! Also, since starting this medication, Twinkie has been copying my kid's Pomsky (who we got October 2022) and shredding Kleenex! I know dogs learn things from other dogs, but for Twinkie, it's JUST the naughty things.. and vice versa, Maple (the Pomsky) has learned to guard things from Twinkie.
2. Twinkie has gotten SUPER whiny, annoyingly so, since beginning phenobarbital. She whines when she's nesting, whines whilst asleep, whines for no apparent reason, but the worst is the whining in the morning! It's like her internal clock is way out of whack. She normally eats breakfast between 10 and 11am (it used to be 9 - 9:30 until these issues started), and dinner at 8:30. Well, now she thinks if the sun is up, and someone got up to use the bathroom, it's time for breakfast, and if it's around 7pm, she demands dinner. The mornings are the worst - the sun starts coming up around 5am, and she'll start whining and yipping LOUDLY anytime between 6am and whenever I feed her. The earliest I'll feed her is 10:30am, the latest 11am. Dinner is the same, except she starts around 7pm, and I feed her earliest at 8:30pm, the latest is 9pm. I'm being strict about the schedule, because she's been so disruptive to me & my adult kids - one who is disabled with ASD + mental health diagnoses, the other who works 2 jobs and also has mental health diagnoses - that we're all exhausted and struggling to perform our daily duties. I've begun putting her on a leash at the first whine of the morning and night, and keeping her close to me, which seems to help, but I still have to get up early to do it... which leaves me needing a nap midday! I'd keep her in my bed overnight, but for a 10 lb dog, she takes up a LOT of space on my bed! She insists on laying the wide way and will push me to the very edge of my bed, which interrupts my sleep. So, for now, the leash is helping the other 2 humans get their necessary sleep at least.
3. She's been "corncobbing" the Pomsky when they're playing. I don't know if corncobbing is the same kind of thing as "pibble nibbles", but Twinkie is doing that when she's NEVER done it before. You know where they just use the front of their teeth and take tiny little bites in a row? My second oldest daughter has a Boxer Pit mix that corncobs, but I've never seen another dog do it aside from her. Twinkie just started the corncobbing and also play biting the Pomsky about 2 weeks ago. She does it on her butt, legs, and neck.
4. She's been just sitting outside in the rain during her potty breaks, and she has always hated rain! Up until a week ago, if it was raining, she'd walk the edge of the house under the eaves to go potty, and come right back in afterwards. Some rainy days she just skips pooping altogether, she hates it that much! Oddly, she likes snow! But that's just weird for her, to just sit on the sidewalk, getting rained on and not wanting to come in, even with treat bribes.
5. She's not more cranky than usual - she's always been a crotchety old hag of a dog - but she's been more bitey than normal, and picks fights with the Pomsky and is always warning the Boxer mix. If she's in a bad mood (which has always been a LOT of the time), if another dog gets within 8 feet of her or her things - her things include everything in the room, including me - she's growling, baring teeth and lunging at them.

I've been calling her my "drunken munchkin", because she's been so weird and not making sense in my mind. Sometimes she's a playful puppy like she's never been since I've had her (around 2 years), and other times she's a vicious rabid beastie! She's always been a quirky little thing, scared of hiccups and gum chewing and dolls, hates being baby talked or having her space invaded (including stranger's hands coming at her for pets) and hates kids, but only if they're moving (walking, running, jumping). She loves kids when they're infants in car seats or rockers, or sleeping toddlers and kids... she'll kiss them and snuggle up with them. She seems to hate certain people or dogs, but then when they rough house together, she wants to defend them? Wacky! She loves people the most of they completely ignore her and pretend she doesn't exist. If a person ignores her like that, she'll climb into their lap and make herself at home, but as soon as they're talking or touching or even making eye contact sometimes, she's growling and/or showing teeth.
Anyways, I've added a video of her and the sock plus pics for funsies. She's such a sweet, innocent looking demon dog! SHE seems to think she's a Rottweiler, and is fearless (for the most part). She's just a little weirdo, and I wish I could understand her. That's my one issue with rescues, is you never truly know what their previous life was like. Clearly she has trauma. She had a broken rib at some point, and it healed sticking out. But I love her so much, and she is the first dog I've had that has been loyal to me... I'm her person. All our previous dogs and rescues bonded to my husband... he was an animal and kid magnet! So that part is nice. I love that she's independent and doesn't NEED to be on or near me all the time, and doesn't whine when I leave (most of the time). She's very sweet with me, and so she's mine and I'm hers.

I don't know if I'm in the right sub for this, but...
Long story short,
I can read and write in English, as well as watch content such as films and YouTube videos without subtitles and without much difficulty, but I am very bad with pronunciation, although I can get by in a conversation.
I produce and write music as a hobby and recently started using an AI to sing. When I submitted a song for feedback, people said that some phrases didn't sound natural and that someone fluent in the language wouldn't pronounce the words that way.
I would like to know if anyone can help me with the pronunciation of words words\phrases that sound like this.

I yelled and cried until my mom and dad came bursting through the doors, just about ready to fight anyone in the room, but there was no one. I explained to them what happened, but they just thought I had been dreaming or something.
The next day, I sat that chair right where I found it. I went to go play on a swing set my parents got me. I was swinging really high and laughing. I felt this hard push on my back, but just thought it was my mom or dad pushing me on the swings so I laughed louder. But then something pushed me even harder that I fell on the ground, hitting my elbow on a rock and getting my dress all muddy. I cried and cried, and my dad carried me inside.
We later moved away from that house, and I did some research about it. Every time I click on a website about that house, my computer just says the internet went wrong. I learned to never mess with someone’s stuff- living or dead.
