  1. In 2024, Zayn Malik told Nylon, "[Using Tinder has] not been too successful for me, I'll be honest. Everyone accused me of catfishing. They're like, 'What are you using Zayn Malik's pictures for?' I've been kicked off once or twice."
  2. During a 2024 appearance on Getting Grilled with Curtis Stone, Teri Hatcher said, "I've tried them all, and I tried my latest one. I tried Hinge...You know, I thought, I'm gonna say to the universe that I am open and vulnerable, and I'm putting myself out there. That's what I thought my gesture of joining that Hinge app would be. And then they kicked me off."
  3. In 2021, Leslie Jones tweeted, "Ok why did @hinge banned me I literally just signed up yesterday! And they don’t even tell you why. So fucking lame after taking my money! [sic]"

  5. Appearing on Jimmy Kimmel Live in 2019, Billy Eichner said, "I've been on Tinder for, like, seven years, and I'm very nice. I don't do anything naughty or weird, you know, I'm a normal person. They banned me all of a sudden. They didn't give me an explanation. They just said, 'You violated the terms of use.' And I said, 'I've been single for seven years; you violated the terms of use!' I didn't violate anything."
  6. After a breakup, Demi Lovato tried to reactivate their Raya account, only to get rejected from the app.
  7. In 2022, Lewis Capaldi told the podcast The Diary of a CEO, "I've just been kicked off of Tinder because, I think, people think I'm fake. So I've been kicked off of Bumble, Tinder, Hinge."
  8. In a 2021 Instagram post, Paulina Porizkova said, "OK. What's up @hinge? I signed up a while back and was booted off instantly because I had violated guidelines. I didn't even get to post my photo. My name, it seems, is against guidelines? I called, I emailed. No one bothered to reply."
  9. Appearing on Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen in 2020, Sam Smith said, "I joined this dating site called Hinge in the UK, and they chucked me off of it after one night cause they thought I was a catfish pretending to be me."
  10. In 2018, Andy Cohen told The Ellen Show, "I am on Tinder, and there is a gay dating app that I'm on that I keep getting kicked off of because they think I'm impersonating Andy Cohen. And they're like, 'Your photos don't meet our guidelines.' And I keep trying. I'm like, 'No, it is me.'"
  11. In a since-deleted tweet from 2019, Sharon Stone said, "I went on the @bumble dating sight and they closed my account. Some users reported that it couldn’t possibly be me! Hey @bumble, is being me exclusionary? Don’t shut me out of the hive."
  12. Quote tweeting Sharon Stone's post, singer Conor Maynard added, "This happened to me on both @Tinder and @hinge ... any help guys?"
  13. In 2021, Alicia Silverstone told The Drew Barrymore Show, "A few years ago, I tried to get on one of the dating apps, and I put up a fake profile because I wasn't comfortable yet being me. And then I got kicked off; I got banned."
  14. In 2018, Stassi Schroeder Clark tweeted, "Raya kicked me off twice over a year and a half ago for 'talking about it.'"
  15. And finally, on a 2023 episode of his podcast IMPAULSIVE, Logan Paul said, "I tried that app, Raya, and within 24 hours, I got some matches. And within 24 hours, I was kicked off the app with a, like, put together user interface message that said, 'You have violated community guidelines. Because of this, Raya has decided not to...' And then that's it. That's how this ended."

2024.05.20 23:11 Vegetable_Ad1732 Songs About Abusive Women

So, today I heard that song on the radio with the lyrics "it's been 5 days since you tackled me", you know the one. Got me started thinking about how many songs I know about abusive women. I came up with 3 off the top of my head.
One Week by Barenaked Ladies - Lyric "Five days since you tackled me I've still got the rug burns on both my knees"
Demi Lovato in “Heart Attack”; Lyric “When I don’t care I can play ‘em like a Ken doll/Won’t wash my hair, then make ‘em bounce like a basketball”
I know this song says he wants her, but I still think it's rapey af "Get on up and do it again" by Suzy Q - Lyric "Get on up and do it again. You can do it one more time Get on up Yeah Do it again One more time One more time One more time
I then did a google search, and some good news. There are actually two serious songs about a women abusing men; Pulling Teeth by Green Day, and Cherry Wine by Hozier. Had no idea there were serious songs about women abusing men in relationships.

2024.05.20 12:23 Sorsha_OBrien I swear every second episode I see an actor I recognise in this show

Just wanted to say that! I don’t know their names coz they tend to be minor actors and/ or actors who were on the show before they became very famous.
I think some obvious ones are Demi Lovato and Abigail Breslin (in Little Miss Sunshine and Nim’s Island) from off the top of my head.
I’ve also seen Claire Bennet’s mother from Heroes, the chick who can mimic anyone from Heroes one or two episodes later, (come to think of it the actress who plays Reed is ALSO a character in Heroes!), James Frain (a villain in the Gotham TV series), and various others who I know I’ve seen elsewhere as a mothe father but can’t pinpoint exactly where/ what TV show they’re in. I’m on season seven right now and still just about every second or third episode an actor I recognise from some minor role in another TV series is there.
I wonder if there’s a compilation somewhere of every patient ever in Grey’s Anatomy and the storyline associated with them.

2024.05.19 23:26 2012amica2 I have a (few) songs to share

So I’ve seen posts here before talking about feminist anthems, playlists, songs, etc and I wanted to share some of my all time favorites with everyone. I also included my playlist (not that anyone gives a shit or asked for it). I listen to these on the daily and haven’t gotten tired of any of them yet. Do yourself a favor and read the lyrics if you’re unsure of exactly what’s being said, because the context does matter. Most of these are slightly more obscure/less mainstream imo. Plenty of feminist TS and Beyoncé out there too. Sometimes I scream these in my car on the highway. Please enjoy.
Possibly my all time favorite- Us and Pigs by SOFIA ISELLA
HATEFUCK, PLASTIC, and Purge the Poison- by Pussy Riot
Dead Men Don’t Rape- by Delilah Bon
Toxic, Deal with It, STUPID, Little Boy, Cry, and Invitation- by Ashnikko (and most of her stuff)
Labour, as good a reason, boys bugs and men, the fruits, It’s called Freefall- by Paris Paloma
Hard Out Here and Fuck You- by Lilly Allen
SWINE and Sorry not Sorry- by Demi Lovato
What it means to be a girl, this is how I learn to say no- by EMELINE
Killing boys, The Tradition, The Lighthouse, Nightmare, Easier than Lying, by Halsey
Tons of others and always adding more.

2024.05.19 01:49 DoctorAltaria Billie Eilish - Hit Me Hard And Soft (2024) ~rating~

1. Skinny oooh i love the guitars. when she sings "still cry... cry..." it reminds me of "i love you" from "when we all fall asleep where do we go?". i love the instrumental outro and how it transitions to the next track! 8.6/10
2. Lunch the lyrics are so cute! i love the switch up in the sonics at 2:22! 8.8/10
3. Chihiro the chorus and refrain are so infectious. i love how she sings "meee~". the bridge is sooo good i love the instrumentals there. the postchorus and outro is so eargasmic. i love this track so much. 10/10
4. Birds of a Feather oh the instrumentals are so good. oh the refrain, chorus, and postchorus are so good. i love this song it hurts!!! 10/10
5. Wildflower the guitars are nice. the vocal layering is so good. the lyrics hurt like hell. 8.8/10
6. The Greatest the guitar plucking is scratching a part of my brain and i like it. with more listens, the guitar plucking will be something i'll be looking for each time, kinda like how i feel with taylor swift's "willow" and "ivy". the sonic switch up at 3:14 is so so sooo good it's kinda like demi lovato's "don't forget" switch up. 10/10
7. L'Amour de ma vie the first half feels so chill but so addicting. the second chorus hits sooo different and so good with each replay!!! the switch up on part 2 of the song sounds so cool. would've really preferred these two to have been separated honestly. i liked part 1 better. 10/10
8. The Diner oh the instrumentals at the beginning sound so vintage like something you'd hear in those old movies. this sounds so addicting with that bass at the back! this might be an underrated opinion but i like the echoing vocal layer. 10/10
9. Bittersuite it's an okay song for me. the instrumental outro is so addicting though! 7.4/10
10. Blue i really really really love how she references the other songs in the album, similar to her song "goodbye" in "when we all fall asleep where do we go". i love the voice pitch-down at 3:26 like damnnnnnn. idk but this track (for me) reflects the album cover a lot. 10/10
this album sounds so good and i love how concise it is with just ten tracks. with some tracks being more than five minutes, i already felt like i went on a journey. this sounds like album of the year for me, so far! off the bat, i'll give it 9.6/10! actual average is 9.3/10

2024.05.18 22:28 lawrencedun2002 Here's how a makeup artist from Springfield collaborated with Gypsy Rose Blanchard in LA

Here's how a makeup artist from Springfield collaborated with Gypsy Rose Blanchard in LA
Alexis Oakley has done makeup for Emma Stone, Paris Hilton, Demi Lovato, and Kris Jenner, but her work has never garnered as much attention as when she "glammed" Gypsy Rose Blanchard two weeks ago.
Oakley, a Springfield native, met with the newfound celebrity May 1, when Blanchard was in Los Angeles for a red carpet event promoting her new Lifetime docuseries, "Gypsy Rose: Life After Lock Up." Oakley met Blanchard in her hotel room, where she did her makeup and the two created social media content together.
Oakley and Blanchard had about two hours to do hair and makeup and one hour to create social media photos and videos. They also stopped in a nearby Sephora for about an hour to shop together. Oakley has posted more than nine videos on her TikTok and Instagram from the collaboration, which have garnered more than 70 million impressions, she said. She also gained more than 250,000 followers on TikTok, almost overnight. As of Wednesday, Oakley has more than 490,600 followers on TikTok.
"I've never gained so many followers from anyone before," Oakley told the News-Leader on Wednesday. "Obviously, I've worked with traditional celebrities ... and a tag can help my career, for sure, but the Gypsy Rose Effect is unlike anything."
Connecting with Gypsy
The collaboration began back in December 2023, a few days after Blanchard was released from the Chillicothe Correctional Center, where she served an eight-year sentence for conspiring to kill her mother Clauddine "Dee Dee" Blanchard" with her then-boyfriend Nick Godejohn in 2015.
Blanchard was released from prison Dec. 28 and on Dec. 30, Oakley posted a TikTok video of her setting up her makeup kit with the caption, "Clearing my schedule in case Gypsy Rose wants glam." The video was a part of a trend where TikTokers made videos of them "clearing their schedules" to do specific activities with Blanchard. As of Wednesday, Oakley's video had more than 454,200 views.
Though the video garnered more engagement than her other content, Oakley said she didn't think much of it. However, she was genuinely interested in doing Blanchard's makeup.
"After that, I saw that she was doing press in New York and getting her hair and makeup done and I was like, 'Okay, she's about to start being a glam girl, how can I get my name in there?'" Oakley recalled. "I DMed (direct messaged) her a million times (on Instagram), but obviously she wasn't seeing anything because I think she got 12 million followers overnight."
Oakley decided to take it a step further and began sifting through the list of accounts Blanchard followed on Instagram, which at the time was about 100.
"I was just looking for someone who was maybe a manager, publicist or friend," Oakley continued. "I ended up finding a few girls who worked on the Lifetime team and DMed them and said, 'Oh my gosh, I saw Gypsy is doing press. How can I glam her? Can you connect me? Who should I reach out to?' and they were like, 'Oh my gosh, we actually saw your TikTok.'" In January, Lifetime aired a six-episode docuseries called "The Prison Confessions of Gypsy Rose Blanchard," which chronicled the history of Blanchard's case and some of her life in prison.
After connecting with members of Lifetime, it was about four months before Oakley heard from them again, which she said is typical when working with celebrities. Then out of nowhere Oakley received the call: Are you available? Gypsy is coming to Los Angeles.
Four hours and a lasting friendship
According to Oakley, Blanchard was only in Los Angeles for about 24 hours. Ahead of the Lifetime red carpet event, Blanchard visited Santa Monica Pier — it was her first time seeing the ocean — and did some staple California activities, like trying In-N-Out Burger. Then, Blanchard and Oakley met up for hair and makeup in Blanchard's hotel room.
"We just connected right away," Oakley said of Blanchard. "I filmed the entire process, which I typically try to do with my clients ... She was so sweet, such an easy client and just so excited to learn about makeup and just asking questions the entire time: 'What's this product? How do you apply this? Why are you putting it there? What does this do? Have I been doing this wrong?' (She) was very, very eager to learn, which is so fun for me."
During hair and makeup, Oakley learned that Blanchard had never been to a Sephora, so she asked Blanchard's team if they would have enough time to run by a nearby mall. Fortunately, they were able to work it into her schedule.
The two bought an array of makeup products, including moisturizer, foundation and concealer, blush, mascara, eyebrow pencils and lip liner.
"It was just so sweet and it honestly made me so emotional taking her as she'd never been before, she's 32 years old and doesn't really know how to do her makeup," Oakley said. "Watching her light up when I would tell her about certain products ... was just really, really cool."
Since Blanchard's visit to Los Angeles, Oakley said the two have been texting back and forth daily. And while nothing is confirmed, Oakley said Blanchard told her that she would like for her to do her makeup for her wedding, when that day comes.
Getting started and what's next
Oakley got her start doing prom and bridal makeup in her parent's basement in high school, but she knew she was interested in more sophisticated work.
A few weeks after graduating from New Covenant Academy in 2016, Oakley moved to Los Angeles at the age of 18. Upon arriving, she enrolled at Make-Up Designory, a five-month professional make-up training program.
"Two days before I graduated Make-Up Designory, I landed a job as an assistant for a really huge celebrity makeup artist. That was kind of that moment for me where I was like, 'Okay, I think this is supposed to be what I do." The makeup artist was Rachel Goodwin, who has worked with Emma Stone, Laura Dern, Jennifer Lawrence, Zendaya and countless other A-list celebrities.
Oakley said she spent about four years working as an assistant for various celebrity makeup artists before establishing herself independently. The first two celebrities she worked with on her own were Paris Hilton and Jessica Alba, both in the same week.
More recently, Oakley has enjoyed collaborating with social media content creators including Tanya Mongeau, Trisha Paytas and Brianna LaPaglia.
When it comes to Oakley's relationship with Blanchard, she said she hopes to stay in contact and do her makeup anytime she's in Los Angeles.
As for future clients, Oakley said her dream celebrity that she would like to work with is Hailey Bieber. She also hopes to host more in-person events like meet-and-greets and masterclasses.

2024.05.16 09:00 Rosie_Blink Bm new album. Thoughts?

I’m designing a album for BM what do u think?
  1. Thank u next - Ariana Grande
  2. Monsters - All Time Low, ft. Demi Lovato and blackbear
  3. Sheesh remix
  4. Monsters (Extended ver)
  5. 7 Rings - Ariana Grande
  6. Ddu-du Ddu-du - BP
  7. Drama - æspa
I think they should rename Monsters-Demi Lovato ver. to “In my Head “ or smthing. And they should shorten D4
They should call it “B x M”
Thank u next and Monsters - Demi L. should be the title tracks and D4 should be the intro and the rest are b-sides
Edit: I forgot to mention this but this isn’t real. I just made it for fun!

2024.05.14 07:00 Connect-Maize2601 Question about Polo G lyric and Demi lovato

On Fame and Riches the line “Posted on the strip selling Demi Lovato” is said. Ik what the line means. I was just wondering why he used it as it seems weird to talk about her in a song. Was there ever any response from her or statement from Demi? Sorry if this is a stupid question.

2024.05.14 01:56 Lanky-Lie-696 Can you suggest some “You’re gonna want me back” music

I’m looking for songs like
“Sorry Not Sorry” by Demi Lovato
“You Broke My Heart” by Drake
“Feather” by Sabrina Carpenter
“Hate 2 See It” by Danileigh
“U Don’t Have to Call” by Usher
Clearly these aren’t the same genre but they’re the same vibe: “You might’ve had me down bad but ima have you down worse”
Sometimes music can be so triggering that you need a good move on playlist 🤣

2024.05.12 13:57 Truecrimegeek333 Gyps victim complex.

I wanna start off by saying, the more each day passes the more I cannot stand this girl. “That’s hot” “that’s so fetch” excuse me? 🤮 She’s even got Demi Lovato commenting on her bullshit posts now. Watching her behavior, the way she treats people, and her lies how can anyone still support this girl? She’s making actual victims on TikTok and other social media platforms feel like shit, because she has her stans coming for them when they say something about her exaggerating the abuse (or even faking it if you’ve gone down the rabbit hole enough to see that it was Dee afraid of Gyp.) (It happened to me too, someone came at me with the ‘have you ever been abused’) And now, every single time Fancy goes live, she either does something outrageous or gets her banned, or both. Specifically every time fancy starts talking about the chromosome disorder 🤔 odd right? I think little miss Gyp shit is afraid of people finding out about that. Why? Because it throws her whole case out the damn door and proves she played us all for fools AGAIN. So I think we need to help the truth and be more loud about the disorder. She can’t get all of us 😇 one day all of this is going to come crashing down and we’ll see her fake tears that only come when she’s in trouble or undeniably caught, and we’ll all laugh. Shoot maybe she’ll do us a favor and get in trouble again by then. Sorry to ramble on and on like this, but with each attack her fans do on anyone that doesn’t agree with her, every celebrity comment of support, each ban for someone telling the truth, her confidence and ignorance skyrockets and she thinks she’s unbeatable. It’s disgusting.

2024.05.12 09:55 tomato-not-tomayto Genre:pop Year:2010's I remember the music video in great detail, i cant remember the artist or song!

i used to be obsessed with watching music videos as a kid, i didn't care about the music itself, i just liked watching music videos on VEVO. I particularly loved music videos with a storyline.
I have such a vivid memory of being obsessed with this one video, i would have watched it around 2017ish? so it would have been released before that. It was a female singer, relatively young, and the music video went like this:
set in a lab, everything is black and white except for a little girl who is playing at a table. watching through a window, there are old men in lab coats observing her, and amongst them, there is the singer who is also in black and white. the singer is dressed like a scientist/researcher too. then it cuts to a scene where the little girl is a cell/room, and the female scientist/singer comes in, and wipes her face to reveal she is also colourful, just like the little girl. the pair run away, getting chased by the scientists, and they drive away in a red car. there is a scene where they come out of a tunnel and they arrive in a land that is colourful, and there is a crowd of people that are waiting for them.
i tried finding it, i initially looked through Demi lovato and Katy perry, but i cant see any of their music videos that are like this!
Can someone let me know if they recognise this?? thanks!

Gypsy-Rose Blanchard Poses in 'Blondes Have More Fun' Cropped Tank Top as She Shares Motivational Messages
( copied directly from article )
Gypsy-Rose Blanchard is sharing some positivity.
Blanchard, 32, revealed her bright outlook on life on TikTok following her release from prison four months ago and separation from her husband, Ryan Scott Anderson, in March — and she's encouraging her fans to look at life in the same way.
In the May 10 video clip, which was set to Demi Lovato’s song “Sorry Not Sorry,” she shared a selfie of herself posing in a white cropped vest that read, “Blondes have more fun,” with a heart replacing the letter "o" on the top. She teamed the cute top with pink and black checkered pajama bottoms.
“Did anyone get to their destination by driving with eyes only in the rearview mirror? I am NOT,” the text over the video, which has so far been viewed over 1.5 million times, continued.
“That’s why I’m going places 😉," the final line over her clip read.
Blanchard then encouraged her 9.7 million followers to “have a good day,” and to “stay positive” in the comments.
Meanwhile, Lovato herself made an appearance in the comment section under the TikTok video, writing, "Yes girl!!!! Sending love 🖤🖤🖤," to which Blanchard responded, "Omg girl I love you! 💗 You are literally one of my favs. Sending love your way."
The Munchausen by proxy victim has been active on social media since being released from prison in December 2023 after serving eight years for conspiring to murder her mother, 48-year-old Dee Dee Blanchard, with her then-boyfriend, Nicholas “Nick” Godejohn.
Following her release, she has documented her numerous life changes, revealing in March that she had dyed her hair blonde. A month later, she shared that she had undergone cosmetic surgery to change the shape and appearance of her nose.
After separating from Anderson in March, it was reported in late April that the 32-year-old was back together with her ex-fiancé Ken Urker.
However, Blanchard admitted during the An Evening with Lifetime: Conversations On Controversies FYC event panel on May 1 that she ended up taking "a step back" from the internet because the comments were beginning to take a toll on her mental health.
"I'm very much an introvert. And so coming out and this media storm hit me, and I was... At first, I really, really was touched by the positivity that people were showing me," Blanchard said at the panel. "And then as social media began and how it always does, it turned negative. It started to have a negative effect on my mental health."
Since then, she said she’s been easing back into it slowly. "I just recently got back into it with having learned don't read comments," she said. "So I mean, I'm just trying to live my life in the best way that I can."
"And like I said, that's going to include missteps, but I learned from them," she added.
( THIS IS AGAIN NOT MY WORDS, NOT OPS WORDS !! )
