Does the colour of this skirt suit a dark winter?
I did a colour analysis that mentioned a lighter more pale green suited a dark winter, however I’m not completely sure if this skirt matches that description. What do you think?

2024.05.21 15:51 dlrowrevo Intermittent feeling of needing to urinate often 2 weeks after MA

Hey lovely ladies, I am a bit concerned about a possible infection. I’ve called my clinic aftercare line and I’m waiting for them to call me back but I thought I’d ask here too.
Basically, I had my MA on 9th May (12 days ago) and yesterday I suspected I may possibly have a UTI. I had the frequent urge to urinate HOWEVER I had absolutely no pain when peeing. I’ve had UTIs before and always experienced the pain while peeing but this time it’s the same sensation of needing a wee but without any pain.
I woke up today and had my first wee of the day, finished peeing and felt as though I hadn’t fully emptied my bladder. 10 mins later I went back to the toilet and it was like a dribble. About 20 mins later I peed again, still just a dribble but slightly more than before. Decided I was going to ignore the feeling of needing to urinate and it slowly went away after about 2 hours of being awake. I have no pain ANYWHERE, no other symptoms except I was slightly dizzy when I woke up this morning for about an hour, and had quite strong smelling discharge for about a day after I’d stopped bleeding but it’s fine now.
For extra context I have stopped bleeding now since roughly 18th May (3 days ago) and have been having sex with my boyfriend (about 3 times since bleeding stopped).

2024.05.21 15:21 unavngiven My mom died... [Very long post]

This is my first reddit post, although I have been a long time lurker of many subreddits. I am 23 years old and an only child. I am not a native english speaker, so please forgive any weird formatting or any spelling/grammar mistakes.
As the title states, my mom died ... and I am currently writing this to try and process this whole situation. I've tried to section all the paragraphs in chronological order, to make reading easier. Sorry for the extremely long post - I just needed to get it all out.
We only just celebrated her 60th birthday back in february. She did all the cooking, cleaning and planning without any trouble - even down to picking out the perfect napkins and flowers for her white and gold theme.
My mother was without a job. She had been jobless for almost 2 years now, after she was fired from her old cleaning job due to frequent sick days because of stomach cramps and pain. She was seen by a doctor back in 2022 for her stomach aches, and they found no physical cause - hence why we concluded it must've been due to stress. The stress and stomach pains subsided after she'd been fired. So we thought no more of it.
In march she was doing a 4-week internship in a local supermarket to see if she might've been a good fit for a permanent paid position. This is common practice for unemployeed people here in Denmark.
My mother started having stomach pains again during this internship, soon followed by back pains as well. She figured this was due to her spending most of the day sitting as a cashier in an uncomfortable position. My mother wasn't very tall, so she had trouble reaching the floor pedals that control the cashier conveyer belt.
In the beginning of april, she went to the doctor. Her stomach and back pains hadn't gone away although the internship was over. Her doctor also concluded it was most likely due to her uncomfortable working position, and that it would pass in a few weeks time. The doctor did some bloodwork, and found that she was severely lacking vitamin D, but nothing else seemed concerning at the time.
In the middle of april, her pains had only gotten worse, and she went to the doctor again. Her doctor did more bloodwork, and did a phisycal exam of my mothers stomach. Her doctor ordered a CT scan to check for anything serious.
19th of april. I accompany my mother to the hospital for her CT scan. We get told that we'll have the results in a week or so. My mother is not looking good when I pick her up at the bus station. She is more pale than usual, and has trouble walking at her usual pace.
23th of april. My mother received a referral to a meeting at the hospital with a doctor and nurse, to discuss the results of the CT scan. This referral is sent from the hospitals cancer department. My mother and I speak on the phone, she is concerned, but I tell her that this type of referral must just be standard pratice, and that she shouldn't worry untill we have spoken with the doctor. I cried that night.
25th of april. The day before her meeting with the doctor, I received a phone call from my mother. She tells me that she had fallen while at home, but that I shouldn't worry. I, of course, worry.
I pack my things and leave for my mothers house, I live an hour away by bus. When I finally arrive my mother seems okay-ish, but the house is another story. My mother is normally known for being a clean freak, and her house has always been clean and organized, But it wasn't anymore.
Her kitchen was a mess, and the dishwasher hadn't been empited or loaded for at least two weeks. Her bathroom is even worse, and I won't even begin to describe the state of the toilet it self. It is a sight that will horrify me for the rest of my life. I cleaned everything, while my mother rested.
My mother had also started sleeping on the guest bed, saying her own was too uncomfortable for her.
While cleaning the bathroom, my mother wakes up. Despite her state, she says she wants to help. But before I can even tell her no, my mother has another fall. Her legs essentially just crumble beneath her, and she falls backwards and lands head first on the floor. We argue back and forth about calling an ambulance, but she refuses to let me - so I don't, even though I should have. I guess I still respected my moms authority too much.
My mother lives alone, as my parents are divorced (they are very good friends though). My mother refuses to let me call my dad and tell him about this whole situation. She is stubborn and too proud to admit defeat.
26th of april. We take a taxi to the hospital. The taxi driver has a help my mother into the car. During the carride my mother says very little, but seems slightly delirious and very tired. When we arrive at the hospital, I quickly borrow a hospital wheelchair for my mother. She is almost unable to walk unassisted at this point.
After waiting for a while in the waiting area, a nurse comes and guides us to a meeting room. My mother is very tired at this point, and still delirious, and I have to handle most of the conversation with the doctor.
The CT scan results showed Pancreatic cancer. The cancer had already spread to her liver and abdomial cavity.
I had read about this cancer a few days prior, trying to figure out what was wrong with my mother. I knew what this meant, and I knew that it was effectively a death sentence. The doctor told us that an operation was out of the question, since the cancer had already spread. And due to the clearly weak state of my mothers health, chemo would also not be offered, as it would finish her.
I told the doctor of her two falls and the state of her home, and that she would not be safe on her own. The doctor had her admitted to a nearby bed department for stomach- and gastrointestinal surgery patients.
The hospital did a ton of bloodwork on my mother when she got admitted, and everything was off. All numbers were either too high or dangerously low. My mothers health was in fact so bad, that I was told she was a heart attack risk. I was also told that if a heart attack happened, she would not be brought back - as it would only prolong a very short and painful life.
I called my dad.
27th of april. My mother slept most of the day.
28th of april. My mother had another fall during the night, trying to get to the bathroom.
29th of april. My dad shows up to the hospital. He wasn't able to get off work until now, as he works in the other end of the country. He is shocked to see my mother in this state. We are told once again by a different doctor that nothing can be done. They are looking into getting her a spot at a nearby hospice.
The rest of the remaining week is spent in hospital. My dad and I are by my mothers side every day. She doesn't leave her hospital room, apart from a few times a day for a smoke break outside. My dad and I take her outside in a wheelchair, which she needs help to get in and out of.
Her bloodwork is showing some slight improvements, but she is still having trouble with infections and receives a lot of antibiotics. She eats like a mouse, but drinks a lot of fluids.
My mother is often very confused or tired most days. She gets referred for an MR scan, to see if the cancer has spread to her brain, or if one of her falls has caused permanent damage. Lucikly the MR scan shows that nothing is wrong with her brain.
She gets confused about her diagnosis a few times, thinking that she had brain cancer instead due to the MR scan. I have to remind her a couple times about what the doctor actually said.
6th of may. My mother seems to have stabilized somewhat so my dad has gone back to work.
7th of may. I get told by the hospital staff that my mother is to be transferred to a different hospital, which is one hour away. I become very upset by this news, and unfortunately yell at one of my mothers nurses in frustration. I yell at her that It'll be harder for me to get to my mother in time if something were to happen. I am ashamed of this childish behavior, as the transfer was the best desicion for my mother in hindsight.
I leave with my mother as we get transferred to the new hospital and their department of palliative care.
I am very ashamed by my behavior to my mothers old nurse, as this department for palliative care was truly the best place for my mother. She seemed very satisfied and happy to have been transferred. They have a large garden with wild flowers, and lovely staff. And my mother got a much bigger room all to herself. She also meets with their physical therapist, who helps my mother relieve some of her pain.
My mother and I have dinner together in the evening in her hospital room. My mom is her old self, although with some delayed speaking. I unfortunately have to rush a bit when leaving, as to not miss my bus home, so I quickly say goodbye to her and leave.
8th of may. In the morning on my way to the new hospital, I received a phone call from her new doctor. My mothers liver has suddenly started to fail due to the cancer. When I arrive, she is asleep. I am told she wont wake up again.
I called my dad, but he wont arrive until the evening, due to the distance from his workplace.
I spend most of the day in my mothers hospital room, listening to her sleep. She occasionally attempts to cough in her sleep, but it mainly just sounds like yells. It is terrifying. The nurses give her pain medication and some sleep medication to help her body relax.
My dad arrives in the late evening. We drive to my mothers house and stay the night there. We spend most of the late evening looking at pictures and scrapbooks of my mother, and packing a bag with clothes for her, for when she passes.
When prepareing the guest bed for my dad, we find a blanket that my mother slept on. It is stained, matching the previous state of the bathroom. We throw the blanket out.
9th of may. Mom is sleeping. Dad and I spend the day at the hospital, but we don't sit in her hospital room. It is too eerie and uncomfortable. We check on her occassionally. Towards the evening, her breathing becomes slightly more rapid and quick. But the nurses tell us to go home. There is no reason for us to sit by her side during the night - as it'll only make it worse for us.
10th of may. I wake at 6.12 am to my phone ringing. It is a nurse. My mother has passed away in her sleep at 6.05 that morning due to liver failure. My dad and I drive to the hospital. I am the first to see her body after the nurses prepared and dressed it in the clothing we picked.
(warning: the following paragraph may be slightly upsetting to some readers)
It it eerie and uncomfortable to see my mother like this. A symptom of pancreatic and liver cancers is that your skin will yellow. Something that I hadn't noticed in my mother till now. I cant help but think that she looks like a wax doll, although I feel horrible for thinking it. I finally touch her hand, after gathering the courage to, almost like I am afraid to distrub her. Her hands are cold, and only get colder as I sit by her side. I am supposed to say my goodbyes to her, and tell her how much she means to me, but in this moment I am speechless. I can't say anything, even on my mothers deathbed. I feels wrong to speak to a corpse. I should've said those things while she could hear them instead. I kiss her forehead before I leave the room.
17th of may. Funeral. The church and casket was beautifully decorated with colorful flowers, like my mother had requested. She didn't want anything white or depressing. I cried all the way through the funeral service, stopping only when it was time to carry the casket out. My dad on the left side, and me on the right, and some other family members behind us. Purple rain by Prince was played on the church piano as we carried the casket. I knew the casket would be heavy, but nothing prepared me for the sheer weight of that thing.
21th of may. Today. I don't really know what to think of my mothers death. Some days I almost forget that shes gone or that all this has been happening, until something reminds me of it.
In a way, I am thankful. Of course I didn't want my mother to die, but I'm glad that her suffering wasn't prolonged for months while she slowly withered away to cancer. And I'm thankful that my mother didn't live to suffer from alzheimers, like her own mother. And I am glad that if anything, my mothers death has brought my dad and I closer.
But at the same time, I am angry that she didn't get to live more of her life. She was only 60 years old, and should have had 20 more years at least. If she at least was 70, it might've been easier to lose her but I doubt it.
I think mostly of all the things she will miss out on, which saddens me the most. I am 23 and my mother wont get to see most of my life or my achivements. If I have kids, she'll never meet them, and she I get married, she'll never see it. My 24th birthday is coming up soon, and I don't know how I'll handle that day without my mother for the first time - or christmas for that matter.
I want my mom.

2024.05.21 15:00 Knowing_Eve What next? Random yellow stool

In 2012 I suddenly out of nowhere started having severe gallbladder attacks (I didn’t know what they were though, I was a young adult and never had the pain before) to the point I couldn’t eat or stand straight. Then my eyes turned yellow and my urine was bright yellow, stools were white clay colour. The pain was so much that I got taken to hospital and they ran tests and admitted me because I was apparently severely dehydrated (despite drinking enough and eating enough) and my liver was on the verge of failing (their words). I was in hospital for a week. They did an ultrasound on day 4 (they waited this long because apparently they didn’t suspect gallbladder issues due to my age - they were testing me for hepatitis and aids instead.. obviously came back negative). The ultrasound showed nothing, so they said that they suspect gallstones but assume I’ve passed them now.
Left hospital.. stools were yellow off and on for months. Pain was intermittent for months. I’d have mini attacks. Had an ultrasound 4 months after the event and it shows some stones.
Issues seemed to go away.
Through the years since 2012 I’ve had the occasional ‘gallbladder liver’ ‘ache’ sensation in the correct region. Usually after I’d eaten things high in omegas or very oily fatty things. But it was once in a blue moon that it would happen, and I’d take apple cider vinegar and it would resolve the ache very quickly. So it wasn’t really a ‘bother’.
Recently however I’ve been having intermittent and random digestive issues.. my gut will start bubbling and feel weird and then I’ll go to the bathroom and my bowel movement will be super loose or diarrhoea, usually bright yellow. I’ve not noticed anything that actually triggers this, it just happens. The rest of the time my bowel movements are totally normal.
For about 1-2 years now, the upper section of my stomach has been distended/bloated/tight feeling. Sometimes I have to stand up because when I sit down I feel slightly breathless. Not sure if this is linked but I thought I would mention it.
Every time they’ve done blood work it shows my liver enzymes are normal.
I’m in the UK. What do you suggest I do?
I don’t drink, smoke, take any substances, etc. so I’m not sure why it’s happening to me?
Other symptoms are: Acne especially on my shoulders and back, often on my chin too. Adrenaline rushes for no reason. Tachycardia. Random nausea. Sometimes lots of belching or gas for no obvious reason but some food must have triggered it. Can’t eat mayo without feeling crap afterwards and my digestion being weird.
To add - I don’t feel any pain or discomfort at all when I get these digestive issues and stool issues..

2024.05.21 14:52 Zealousideal_Owl_105 Is this IC, infection, or cyst?

Hello, I am 21F and I have had weird symptoms for a little over a week. I have had frequent urination on and off, this feeling like there’s always pressure on my bladder. I used to have this sometimes for the past maybe 5 years after i have a big meal and i feel pressure on my bladder, but it was rare and certainly not enough to cause concern. But for the past week, when I completely empty my bladder, there is this weird pulsing pain/discomfort. It’s not crazy painful just seriously uncomfortable, and it feels like there is never a way to fully empty my bladder. I got a dipstick test the day after my symptoms started, but the day I got the test the symptoms weren’t present, the test was all clear. My gyno prescribed phenazopyridine and I took it, it helped completely. 2 days after I took the last pill, the symptoms came back, I called the gyno and went in for another checkup. This time they said my dipstick had nitrites in it, and they prescribed me UTI antibiotics, but put my urine in for a culture. I believe the nitrites could be a result of the AZO? My last period was slightly early, only by less than a week, and I had slight cramps on one side of my ovaries for one day during the symptoms. It seems to get worse when I stress, and about one day after I stopped AZO I had drank and also had sex with my boyfriend. I started dating him about a month ago and I had gone about 6 months without sex before then. We both were clean when we met. We also used lube for the first time in my life about 3 weeks ago and it was silicon based lube, which I know may trap bacteria. I had a slight yeast infection after this and I haven’t used it since, it seemed like the infection went away but could this be a result of bacteria moving up to my bladder? I am still waiting for the culture but I have the feeling there will be no bacteria present. I am so worried that this is a chronic bladder disorder, please your thoughts!

2024.05.21 14:19 retronaco Overactive bladder

On may 9th I started to have to go to the washroom more frequently I noticed that I had to go roughly every hour… I started feeling back pain on my right side more of a pressure pain. I initially thought I may be getting a kidney stone and boy was I wrong! I’m going to tell you guys my experience and how crazy this has been… here’s a little context. I am currently going through a divorce (which was my own doing), financially I am tight as I have to uphold two mortgages one being my own and other being portion of a rental property I own. However the rental property is not a positive cash flow atm due to high interest rates. A lot has happened in May. I had to buy a new dryer as my drying machine just went, also a new microwave (over stove). I work in sales and with high interest everyone is so tight with money and people aren’t spending nearly as much as they were a year ago. I could go on about more but no need. So may 9th it began, all day that day I had to constantly go to washroom almost every hour, I smoked some weed and went to bed. That night I ended up wetting myself a little overnight (this was a first) I panicked and snapped out of it however the next few days I would continue to have back pain and constantly peeing, unfortunately I started doing some google reading on this and I had pre determined myself that maybe I had a kidney stone and just needed to drink more fluids and try to get better. It went on until Wednesday may 15th at this stage my lower back pain had increased and I started noticing pain in my abdomen area also. I went to doctors and did some sampling. They found microscopic blood in my urine but weren’t sure what it could be and sent it in for further testing on top of that in Canada the long weekend was coming which typically means you won’t get lab results until mid next week (this week). Now this continued as I was freaking out about blood in my urine and more googling which made things worse… Friday May 17th comes around. At this stage I was extremely worried and was going to washroom every 30 mins until night time. Night time was horrible (I don’t wish this on my worst enemy) at night time while trying to go to sleep I started to go to washroom every 5-10mins and shortly after around 1AM Saturday I couldn’t get off toilet the back pain had increased and abdomen pain had increased. It left like my bladder was just squeezing everything out! I panicked further! I spiralled and broke down, I went to the hospital. Once I got to hospital and told them my symptoms they believed I was passing a kidney stone but they wanted to confirm and do a CT scan, blood work, and a urine sample. Few hours later my results were in… everything was fine. The doctor said he was not sure exactly what was happening but thinks I have something called “interstitial cystitis” however said I should speak to my family doctor and see a urologist. This is where I started doing more research as I couldn’t take going to washroom so much… I came across urinary frequency and one of the causes was anxiety and stress… I’ve always told my self that I have never had anxiety and never have experienced it. On google I came across a Reddit and it was someone who has experienced similar things and it turned out to be just anxiety. Currently as I am typing this I am improving quite a bit I no longer have to go every 5-10 mins. I go roughly every 2 hours. I am still in recovery as I do have moments where I need to go within 20 mins of just going to the washroom. However I have not taken any medicine I have slowly learned to accept things and get better and this has helped a lot with my anxiety. I have learned that somethings I cannot control but everything will be ok. I started to keep busy (deep clean the house, do all laundry, cooking, lawn work) and that really helped grounding me. Also one thing that helped me is start to relieving some weight. I’ve had weight on my shoulders about leaving my wife so I apologized to her last night saying that I am sorry for making her feel like her world is getting destroyed as we have a child which we will have to share custody. I also am writing this to get better. Please know guys if you are going through this it will all be ok! You have to overcome what is bothering you and accept it. The mind is very powerful, we can make ourselves sick even when we aren’t. I’m sure this isn’t my last time with this but I hope my experience helps you! And know you will be ok.

2024.05.21 12:54 drdeepeshkalra What are the common symptoms of kidney stones?

What are the common symptoms of kidney stones?
Kidney stones are a common urological illness that can cause substantial pain and problems if not treated immediately. As a healthcare provider, I feel it is critical to promote awareness about the signs of kidney stones in order to assist early diagnosis and treatment. In this section, we’ll look at some of the most prevalent indications and symptoms of kidney stones.

1. Severe Pain

One of the most defining signs of kidney stones is tremendous pain, which is frequently considered as one of the most severe forms of agony a person may feel. This pain, known as renal colic, usually starts suddenly and varies in intensity. It often begins in the back or side, behind the ribs, and can spread to the lower abdomen and groin. The discomfort might fluctuate as the stone progresses through the urinary system, so it’s important to keep track of any changes in position and intensity.

2. Hematuria (Blood in the Urine)

Another typical sign of kidney stones is the presence of blood in the urine (hematuria). The blood may be apparent to the human eye, making the urine pink, crimson, or brown, or it may be minuscule and only detectable by a urine test. Hematuria develops when a stone irritates or destroys the lining of the urinary system while moving.

3. Frequent Urination and Urgency

Kidney stones can cause alterations in urine patterns. You may feel the need to urinate more frequently than normal, with a strong and persistent desire. This symptom happens when a stone irritates the bladder or obstructs the passage of urine, causing the body to attempt to remove it.

4. Painful Urination

Another typical symptom is painful urination, often known as dysuria. This burning feeling can develop when the stone reaches the junction of the bladder and the ureter, or if it causes inflammation and irritation in the urinary system. It is critical to identify this discomfort from other types of dysuria, such as urinary tract infections.

5. Nausea and Vomiting

The extreme discomfort from kidney stones can cause nausea and vomiting. This response is the result of the body’s reaction to the extreme pain, as well as the strong relationship between the kidneys and the gastrointestinal system. If you are experiencing inexplicable nausea and vomiting, as well as acute stomach or flank discomfort, you may have a kidney stone.

6. Cloudy or Foul-Smelling Urine

Changes in the look or smell of your urine may potentially indicate kidney stones. Cloudy urine or pee with a strong, unpleasant odor might suggest an illness or the presence of stones. These changes occur when germs accumulate in the urinary system or a stone obstructs the flow of urine, resulting in stagnation and infection.

7. Fever and Chills

Fever and chills are less common but can accompany kidney stones, especially if there is an underlying urinary tract infection. This combination of symptoms need rapid medical care since it may suggest a more serious disease requiring quick treatment.

When to Seek Medical Help

If you have any of the symptoms listed above, especially severe pain, blood in your urine, or evidence of infection (fever and chills), get medical assistance right once. Early detection and treatment can reduce problems and suffering.

Conclusion

Understanding the signs of kidney stones is critical for quick diagnosis and successful therapy. If you believe you have kidney stones, contact a healthcare expert for a full assessment and proper treatment.
As usual, living a healthy lifestyle, staying hydrated, and following medical advice will help lower your chances of getting kidney stones. Please book an appointment if you want more tailored advice and treatment alternatives.

2024.05.21 11:16 _Caramellow_ Have you seen a lipstick in this colour and what season would it suit/where do you think I sit?

Have you seen a lipstick in this colour and what season would it suit/where do you think I sit?
Firstly, my lips have flushed this colour a couple of times and I've wondered if anyone has seen this colour in a lipstick/gloss/balm? And what season you think it fits in?
Also, I've been really stuck on my season. I'm very neutral, I was typed a spring in person in the 4 system, but think that's mostly due to having medium value as my main need in a colour. I thought I was neutral warm due to the spring draping and finding browns look nice on me. But gold isn't my best but I can wear it, same with silver. White gold with diamonds is my best jewellery I definitely don't suit the full bright chroma of springs as it just overwhelms me. Soft autumn feels close for me, same with soft autumn but I sometimes feel the chroma is too muted. What system (12/16 etc?) do you think I fit with and what would you type me. Or any tips on picking the neutral, mid value, mid chroma colours in a pallette? (Photos 8-11 are my natural hair colour, very strong mix between golden and ash blonde. Very mousey) (The burgandy top in 3 is the first colour I've put on in a while and felt amazing in, and I was quite sick and pale that day but it livened me up)

2024.05.21 09:22 ForeverrFlora Lululemon newbie!

Hello beautiful people!
I've recently gotten into working out more [ specifically running ] and I have fallen inlove with Lululemons products after trying them on when I was on a trip to London! [ I sadly don't have a store where I am :( ]
I was wondering if someone could help me determine what products would be best for running, I know they have a page on the website for it, but I wanted some second opinions from Lululemon experts lol
I was also hoping that someone could help me determine what colours suit me best! I know lulu has a lot and I've had a hard time choosing as I prefer to have multiple products in the same colour or colour family instead of a bunch of different colours. I have a fairly pale skintone and red-orange hair if that helps!

2024.05.21 06:29 snekks_inmaboot Can someone talk some sense into me please 😅

Can someone talk some sense into me please 😅
photo of me with my natural mousy brown hair colour
Sorry for the long post and irrelevant flair, there wasn't a more accurate option lol. Would love some advice from others who have maybe dealt with a similar issue.
I can't for the life of me figure out my season. I can't even figure out if I'm warm or cool! I'm convinced that I am completely neutral because I look warm, cool, green, and grey depending on the natural light source. I am olive skinned but pale with yellow/grey overtones, and I also have rosacea on my face which gives me an orangey appearance when it flares up.
I've posted several sets of drapes (digital and real life ones) and have been told I'm everything except for a winter.
I went and bought a bunch of autumn clothes recently thinking I was for sure a true autumn, and now I feel like it's not quite right. I feel like muted colours look drab on me even though they are more 'smoothing' because they don't accentuate my rosacea. I feel like I need some brightness, but spring is too strong for me. Autumn colours either wash me out or make me look kind of yellow.
I just want to donate everything and start again. I feel like I can't just let it go and accept that I might not be wearing 'my colours' for a while until I figure it out. And I'm also spending so much time and energy trying to figure it out!
I realise at the end of the day I probably just look okay in lots of colours, and I should just wear what feels good to me. But I'm struggling with not being able to figure out my season and I just want to get it sorted so I can stop buying clothes that I end up not liking.
I can't afford a professional consultation right now but I probably could in a month or two. But even then I see so many stories of other people getting very different results from professional consults which makes me worry it will be a waste of money.
Fashion and clothes are very important to me and I'm feeling very frustrated. Please help!

2024.05.21 06:07 BropleBoy BLM seasonal drug test

I'm preparing to go to Oregon in a couple weeks for a seasonal position on an engine crew. I've already had my physical and done all my paper work, at this point I'm just waiting to ship put next month. However, at my physical they did not perform a drug test, only a urine dip stick. I smoke weed semi frequently and would like to know if they will drug test me when I arrive in Oregon. It's not a huge deal for me either way, I'm already planning on stopping before I arrive. But I do need to know when I need to stop, I need to give myself enough time to piss clean. Please share your experience.

2024.05.21 05:38 Hlorpy-Flatworm-1705 The Cash of "The Underground Saga"

Kaemyn Farleigh is writing her first book series but struggles with names. Given the descriptions of her book and characters, help Kaemyn figure out the most fitting names for her characters.
-- Premise: In a world where humans and the faery tale creatures theyve often been told to fear live together, a half-vampire detective must rely on her connections to the occults around her to stop a serial killer before they reignite the race war between humans and occult creatures.
-- Main character is a woman of colour whose mother is was a very powerful vampire heiress that forsaked her throne to marry her father. The oldest of three, the MC is naturally responsible and has a very strong intuition. She is in her late twenties and has a style and swagger similar to Wesley Snipes in the "Blade" series. If she ever got the chance to cast a movie of hee book, she would cast Georgina Campbell for her MC.
-- Main character's partner is a male full-blooded vampire. Though he is technically a middle class vampire, he likes the finer things in life like AB- blood and Baroque-style architecture/design. He has dark hair, dark eyes, weara glasses, and dresses very properly. She thinks hell be German or French and that Michael Fassbender, who plays young Magneto in the X-Men movies would play him.
-- The first victim, a blonde female college student in her early 20s with short hair and watery blue eyes. She was studying mathematics and statisics before she was killed. She was the only child of her mother and the youngest of her father. Described as naïve and book smart, she loved alternative rock music, action and horror movies, hiking with her best friend, and going to the pier where her body was found.
-- The second victim, a Japanese immigrant who moonlighted at a bar mainly frequented by giants and ogres. She was in night school, and had a young daughter named Ayrena who was being raised by her parents the night of her murder. The girl has long hair dyed orange, large black eyes, and typically wore sparkly, theatrical make-up. She is described as being bold, nurturing, and blunt by those that knew her.
-- Ogre who is like a father to the second victim. He is understanding and forthcoming with information with the MC a out the death and the whereabouts of him and all his employees. Kaemyn is modeling him after Michael Clarke Duncan and Bernie Mac.
-- The third victim, a young freckled brunette who worked as a preschool teacher. She had an unpaid dept to the King of the Fae. Despite her debt, she was seen as a nice person who was a talented athlete [at rugby] good with kids, though mischievous and a bit of a kleptomaniac. She and her boyfriend, Branden, were set to get married in a few months.
-- The King of the Fae, who is a tall, skinny, ghostly white creature with large cerulean wings and blood red eyes. He has long black fingernails and a Scandinavian accent, though most Scandinavian fae arent vitriolic like him so the MC suspects the accent is fake [and perhaps even his name; Kaemyn is undecided but is open to names for both scenarios] and hes really Siberian. He is elusive yet charming and confident that he can talk his way out of anything.
-- Brother of the King of the Fae, who is a minor character that is having an affair with the third victim. Hes subservient to his brother, though hes not a bad person despite being born into the life of crime. He helps the MC gather intel on the Fae because he wants to know who hurt his slain lover
-- In a twist, Kaemyn wants the culprit to be a gnome who initially was introduced as a low life who commits petty crimes and would sell people out for a penny if he could. She has no idea of anything else, except that the character has the same personality as DJ Qualls im most of his early movies.

2024.05.21 05:38 sparxlikestars I’m not convinced that my pain is due to a tight pelvic floor.

Since around 2/14/24 I started with what I thought was a UTI. Urgency and frequency to urinate, coupled with that stinging tingling effect you get in the urethra. I did not have a UTI but my pain continued to persist and compound each day. When I wake up in the morning I barely have any pain but the more I move the more pain I get. The worst is in the car sitting in the low frequency vibration is a nightmare.
It feels like the most uncomfortable itching/tingling/pinching/burning almost of a sensitive internal area. Which then leads to and adds to the pain. It builds up throughout the day and eventually hits a ceiling where it just feels the pain/stinging/tingle radiating throughout my body. My feet, legs, chest, arms, chin. Nothing is off limits.
I have taken every test and lab since February, including: x-ray, MRI with contrast, cystoscopy, CT scan, ultrasound and all sorts of labs. I am healthy. I’ve seen multiple doctors from multiple practices to get second opinions. And they all lead to I’m healthy, not stone obstruction, no issue with the bladder etc.
I should mention I’ve had frequent kidney stones. The last situation was July 2023 and it was the first time I had to get surgery - a ureteroscopy and stent.
However, I am left with a pelvic floor doctor and pelvic floor physical therapist. I have seen the pelvic floor physical therapist eight times now. And very little of the exercises and breathing techniques work to dissipate my pain. We have narrowed the area down to pain in the muscles and tissues in and surrounding my urethra and bladder. They say it’s due to a tight pelvic floor muscles and pain memory in the tissue from my many kidney stones.
The pelvic floor doctor put me on a very high dose of gabapentin. It dulled my pain and my life. I got super tired and moody. So I just switched to Lyrica a few days ago.
I do not believe my pain is due to a tight pelvic floor for two reasons: 1) the pelvic floor PT did a connective tissue massage on my left flank that truly disrupted and irritated what I think is my ureter. It felt like internal bruising. After that pain flare for 2 days, then the bladder pain ignited. And 2) I have baclofen vaginal suppositories and this crap is not working. if I had a tight muscle wouldn’t my muscle relaxer suppository is supposed to help relax a tight muscle? It doesn’t make sense.
Anyway, sorry for the long note. I’m just frustrated and questioning everything I feel like I have the top of top doctors and I’m very lucky for that but I just have a hard time believing this is a tight pelvic floor thing. I think it’s more of kidney, bladder, or urethra situation. I started questioning the doctors and they just told me to take a break for a few weeks. I bought into the pelvic floor thing for about 2 1/2 months and I’m not any better than I was before I started. Any thoughts or suggestions that anyone has I would love to hear.
I should also add that I’m a 37-year-old female. With no pregnancies or trauma to the area. The only surgery I had was the ureteroscopy last summer.

• Transit Tips: How your belongings will be transported matters.
• Your moving truck will be weighed at a government-inspected weigh station before and after loading your belonging onto the truck to guarantee an accurate weight of your goods. This weight will be used to calculate your final shipment charges.

Our movers will also reassemble furniture (beds, tables, etc), which they took apart at the time of pick up at Origin location.
• If our moving crew packed any boxes for you, they will also unpack them and remove pack materials and debris before they leave.
Choosing the Right Moving Company
Selecting a dependable moving company is crucial. Look for:
• Professional accreditation and positive reviews.
• Transparent pricing and clear communication.
• Comprehensive services from packing to unpacking.
Pre-Move Preparations: Getting a Head Start
Inventory and Decluttering
Start by sorting through your belongings. An effective decluttering process can significantly ease your moving load:
• Sell, Donate, or Dispose: Lighten your load and reduce moving costs.
• Check out this great article we wrote on Pre-Move Preparation.
• Inventory Everything: Keep track of what’s coming with you and what’s staying behind.
Packing Smartly
Packing can be an art form when done right:
• Use Quality Materials: Invest in sturdy boxes and protective wrapping.
• Label Everything: Clearly mark boxes by room and contents for easy unpacking.
Things You Should Not Pack For Your Long Distance Move
There are items that you cannot or should not take with you when moving long-distance across Canada. Below is a comprehensive checklist of items that moving companies will ask you to exclude:
• Hazardous materials: Moving companies are not licensed to carry dangerous goods on the moving trucks as there is a potential for them to explode and cause damage to your shipment and others around. These include dangerous and/or flammable items such as:
• lighter fluid
• paint
• oily rags
• matches
• charcoal
• pool chemicals
• bleach
• oven cleaner
• ammunition
• Perishable items: moving trucks are not equipped with refrigeration units, so perishable foods will spoil quickly and risk causing damage due to mould, fungus and condensation. Plus, spoiled food leaves a very unpleasant odour. Plan to use up or give away the following items before moving:
• meats
• produce
• dairy products
• frozen foods
• any opened containers
• Plants: plants do not travel well, especially long distances when they will be exposed to extreme temperature swings, lack of UV light and oxygen, resulting in their quick decay. If you are bringing your plants, plan to have them with you in a personal vehicle and not on the moving truck. You’ll be able to tend to them better.
Here is an interesting article we wrote on Packing Indoor Plants.
The Moving Week: Countdown to Departure
Last-Minute Checks and Balances
As the moving day approaches, ensure everything is in order:
• Confirm Details with Movers: Double-check arrangements and timings.
• Prepare Essentials Kit: Pack a bag with necessities for the first few days post-move.
Taking Care of Logistics
• Service Disconnections: Schedule the disconnection of utilities in your current home.
• Address Updates: Notify banks, government agencies, and subscription services of your new address.
Moving Day: A Symphony of Efficiency
The Big Day Arrives
It's all hands on deck when moving day comes:
• Early Start: Get an early jump on the day to maximize daylight hours.
• Supervise the Load-in: Ensure items are handled carefully and loaded correctly.
• Be helpful and NOT on the way. Ensure everything at your home is organized and accessible. Let movers know what items require special handling and separate items that are moving from those that are not, to avoid moving unwanted items.
• Stay with the crew till the end. Do not leave early, not until crew loaded and left.
Smooth Sailing through Transit
• Stay in Touch with Movers: Keep communications open for updates during the journey.
• Prepare for Arrival: Know the estimated delivery schedule to plan your first day in the new home.
• Check Inventory. At the destination, review your inventory to ensure all items were delivered and nothing is missing. Inspect your belongings while those are unloaded from the moving truck into your new home.
Settling In: Unpack and Unwind
Unpacking Strategies
Efficient unpacking can transform a house into a home overnight:
• Prioritize Rooms: Start with the essentials like the bedroom and kitchen.
• Organize as You Unpack: Place items thoughtfully to avoid reorganizing later.
Post-Move Reflections: Ensuring Satisfaction
Final Checks and Adjustments
• Inspect Delivered Items: Check for damages or missing items.
• Provide Feedback: Share your experience with the moving company to help them improve.
The Art of Long-Distance Moving
Moving long-distance is more than a physical move — it's a transition in life. Embrace the journey with excitement and preparation, and you'll find the process not just manageable, but enjoyable.
Conclusion: Your New Chapter Awaits
Congratulations! You've navigated the complexities of a long-distance move. Now, take a moment to enjoy the new surroundings as your new chapter begins. Remember, a smooth move is a launchpad for your new adventures.

2024.05.21 04:41 nun_atoll Even With a Final Breath

8 March, 1608
The patient had been mostly unconscious for nearly a full day, his breathing becoming more and more laboured. Heart rate was rather accelerated, though not to enough to be deeply worrying. Appetite was, of course, weak; only some broth and milk-ice had passed the young King's lips the previous morning. There was no fever—if anything he was perhaps too cool, in spite of the well-stoked fire and many blankets—and light perspiration. Urination and defecation were sparse, given the depressed appetite.
Just as Dr. Heilig went to again check the King's pulse, the doors of the bedchamber opened quickly, and Lord Mircescu entered, his daughter in tow. The young lady carried a bundle in her arms that Dr. Heilig well knew to be the crown prince, born in the afternoon two days previously.
Lord Mircescu brushed past and went to the bedside, kneeling and taking the King's hand.
"Majesty. Your Majesty? Vladuț?"
There was a hint of consciousness, a tightening around the patient's eyelids and twitching of the muscles around the jaw, but no other response. Standing again, Lord Mircescu went to his daughter and collected the infant in her arms.
"My lord," Dr. Heilig said, "I hope you do not intend..."
"I intend to show the prince to his father," Mircescu hissed, and again stepped past the doctor.
For some days now they had kept the patient sitting up in bed, propped with a great many cushions and pillows. This eased the breathing somewhat, particularly when alternated each hour and a half or so with helping the patient to lean forward across a rolled blanket. Currently the patient was upright, and Lord Mircescu shoved one of the cushions askew to guide the body into an ever-so-slightly reclined position.
Mihai Mircescu rushed into the chamber, Ileana behind him. He barely registered the doctor near the bed, or the apprentice and assistant in the corner; for Mihai, there was only the sight of his dear young King.
The boy was sitting up in the bed, though he was clearly in some degree asleep or otherwise unaware. Mihai went to him, kneeling and taking the poor, pale, clammy hand.
"Majesty. Your Majesty?"
No response, and so he spoke again, he voice crackling with suppressed tears.
"Vladuț?"
The King's eyelids fluttered slightly, and he seemed to try and close his mouth, perhaps to shut in the horrible gurgling rasps of his breath. That was enough sign to know he would be aware of what followed.
Mihai went and took the little crown prince in his arms, and then the doctor at last drew his attention.
"My lord, I hope you do not intend..."
"I intend to show the prince to his father!"
Moving past the man, Mihai carried the baby to the bedside and shift some of the cushions so the King was closer to lying back, though he was still in actuality sitting up.
Ileana's heart was full of fear and prayers as she followed the father to the King's chamber. She had known Vlad all of their lives, had been his playfellow and friend and even protector.
Now, there was no way for her to protect him from the illness that had been stealing him away for all of those years.
She thought of the young Queen, back in the Purple Room, lying still and sore after so recently giving birth. The poor young Queen, so recently and mother and so soon to be a widow.
She would protect the Queen, and the little Prince, as she had always tried to protect Vlad.
In the King's chamber, Ileana tried not to look at the rasping, skeletal figure on the bed. It tore at her not to look on her old friend, her King, but she wished to remember him as he had been. Never had Vlad been very healthy, but once he had seemed stronger, had been a smiling, joyful figure.
After a moment, her eyes closed in prayer, she felt her father lift the Crown Prince from her arms, heard him exchange some words with someone, and then she turned her back on the whole scene.
She opened her eyes only to gaze down at the carpet and let her tears fall.
Vlad did not know if it was very late, or very early, or no time in particular. His head swam, full of darkness and dreams and threads of thought that were impossible to catch. His mind always was so lost lately. It was so hard to breathe, and to think, and to be.
Somewhere, a great distance away, someone called to him.
"Vladuț?"
He tried to open his eyes, to call out to the person, for he was very lonely here in the dark in his own head, but it was so hard to move and to breathe.
He missed Tata, who always could help him breathe again. But Tata was gone a long time ago now. Maybe a thousand years.
Someone shouted, and Vlad turned his head a little. He hated fighting and arguments.
Then someone moved him, only a little, and he was not sitting up so much.
A weight settled on his chest—not the usual, always weight of fighting to find breath, but some small, warm, soft weight. He was aware a little of a fragrance like the sweetness of warm milk, and then a voice, familiar and beloved, was near his ear.
"You have a son, your Majesty," Lord Mircescu whispered. "A perfect son."
A son? His son? Yes, Juliana had been close to having the baby, last he remembered. Was she all right, his sweet wife? Was she safe?
Straining, Vlad opened his eyes a little as he felt his hands moved over his chest. They settled on a silky, lumpy something, and when he flicked his gaze down, he saw a puff of fine dark hair poking out from the folds of a bundled blanket.
"Mm-my ssson?" Vlad managed.
"Yes, Majesty," Mircescu said. "Your son. Your Crown Prince."
Vlad felt as though his heart, indeed his very soul, soared in that moment to the heavens. He had known he would live to see his son. He had sworn it to himself and to the unborn and to God.
"Hhh... I k-kept... Kept my promise," he sighed, and willed his right hand to gently pat his infant son's back three times.

2024.05.21 03:25 JustExisting000 I'm confused

So. I had unprotected sex on the 9th of May. I've been experiencing some symptoms associated wih early pregnancy, at least from what I've read on google. Frequent urination, not every day though more like every other day, weird hunger pains that won't go away even if I eat, I swear on my life there was a little pink on the toilet paper after wiping on the 15th, and some nausea. I took a pregnancy test on the 18th and there was a faint line, it was hard to see but it was there, I had my husband and a friend see the test and they saw it too. I took another test this morning and there was no line. I'm very confused. Was this all just a weird hormone imbalance? Am I pregnant? WAS I pregnant but lost it? My husband and I have been trying for 2 years and I got so excited when I say that line on the first test. I'm scared it was a false positive or I lost the baby. I don't know what to think. I just want to be a mother, is that too much to ask?

2024.05.21 03:14 SeaworthinessVast865 Genuine question: What do you think happened?

So I've posted about this before, my sibling often stealing my things and then gaslighting me by denying it afterwards.
Well just recently I've noticed a top I remember never seeing recently for years somehow turning up in my padlocked bag.
I've noticed this happening before with my other things. Except the difference was that this was before I got the padlock bags.
Now how the fuck did she know my combination?
Now, unless I forgot to mix up the combination when it was locked as I usually do, how do you reckon they got into the bag? Because it's looking like that's what happened.
Do you think I need to change the combination now for extra security?
I'm not being delusional about this. At some point I didn't know where that top was to the point I was starting to think I had imagined its entire existence. I had some similar tops so I assumed there had only ever been the two. I genuinely felt like I was going crazy.
Well now the top has reappeared and I don't know how or when this happened.
I'm trying to remember if I found it before I put my clothes in this bag but I don't think so. So I'm really disturbed and confused by this.
Is my sister sneaking in my room when I'm asleep, driving all the way from her place in the early hours of the morning just as she used to do to my other sister, to return things she's taken and steal new items?
She's such a fucking creep. I don't care if they're family, anyone who does that and moreover steals from me frankly deserves a bullet to the head.
I'm not saying she definitely did it in the middle of the night because you'd think this would be a bit more difficult when someone lives far away. Although not impossible. Especially not if she did it on her way to work. And sadly I can sometimes be a heavy sleeper, especially if I'm having a lie-in.
I had a security alarm that's currently run out of battery that went off one day when I was attending a course. I bought the alarm precisely for this reason, as a deterrent so that my freak of a sister wouldn't enter my room when I wasn't around, as I knew she was in the habit of doing (my mum had caught her snooping, most likely to steal, on several different occasions).
I suspected it before I even knew it because of my sister's shady behaviour around me of one who's done something wrong and knows it. Maybe she is so thick she doesn't care about getting her eardrums burst 🤣 Apparently her kleptomaniac addiction beats all sense out of her...She acts so pathetic and almost like eager to please when she knows she's been doing something shady. Like maybe she really can't help it. I honestly don't understand it.
And then, of course, I noticed the alarm was set to off so clearly someone had set it off. Then the next day I heard my sister was complaining about how loud it was to everyone else. But in order to know this, either she or my mum had to have set it off.
Initially I hoped that perhaps my mum was just putting some washing in my room (tbh I had put it there partly for this reason because I prefer putting my own washing away).
Yet ever since noticing this top reappearing, I'm not so sure.
At least now I know I didn't imagine it.
But it's fucking with my head all over again.
It's exactly like this time I got mad at her about this in the past (the covert narcissist still tried to paint herself as a poor victim of my understandable annoyance, however, as she always does) and then a few days later a few shirts I'd be missing were suddenly in my drawers. I'm pretty sure I didn't imagine it and now this top reappearing seems like confirmation that I didn't imagine it that time, either.
She's such a bitch for messing with my head like this. Because it's a horrible feeling to be tricked, repeatedly stolen from and gaslit like this.
And perhaps the scariest, most disturbing part about all of this is that the last time some of my stuff reappeared, I could have sworn I had a dream about someone putting them back the night before. And this all leaves me wondering if it wasn't a dream and I was half awake and half aware at the time of what she was doing. This seems reinforced by the fact that sometimes I've woken up to find my door isn't fully closed like someone has been in (you have to click it with force to close it). Sometimes I've wondered if this was my mum but I'm not so sure and what's clear is that, with the amount of time I spend in my room these days, my sister probably wouldn't have had much opportunity to sneak into my room in the daytime.
One of the freakiest things about this is that sometimes it almost feels like law of attraction, ie what with how I was thinking about it and then it appeared, as though I manifested it with my mind or something.
It's like they knew I was thinking about it and missing it.
Or, possibly, while snatching some of my other things, she decided to do her usual swap exchange and take a few, leave a few, etcetera.
This may be why it looks like one of the other similar tops has gone missing. But I will have to check that tomorrow.
I have no doubt that she took this shirt at some point but I will consider the possibility that maybe I found it or she returned it before I put my stuff in lock bags.
And yet I can swear a bunch of my jeans that were being kept in another lock bag have gone missing. The whole bag. And I can't tell if I'm being crazy or not. Yet this whole top reappearing is saying... probably not. Maybe they are missing and she's taken them. Just like the other things.
She's so ridiculous.
Sometimes she also wears this makeup that's too pale for her skin and she looks almost vampiric. A nice reflection of her leeching, soul-sucking personality, I guess.
It actually reminds me of something I saw that was either a delusion or part of the Illuminati's U2 system. The style and pale colour and everything.
If mind control is real as I'm convinced it is, as I have some reason to believe, I'm pretty positive that she's also under their influence because I wouldn't really know how else to explain such irrational, creepy, and disturbing behaviour.
Maybe this sounds a little cruel but sometimes I'm a little repulsed and annoyed by weak personality traits or, even worse, feigning weakness and innocence when the person is actually simultaneously really mean-spirited, sneaky, creepy and clearly has a serious personality disorder.
I posted this here, I don't know why.
I hope karma some day really kicks her in the backside.
Thank God for all the illnesses they keep getting as punishment for being swine!
I hate people like this.
And, what's even more crazy, is how common it is. Or more common than it should be.
I've seen posts on here written by a man complaining about his adult brother doing it to him and going so far as to lock him out and call the police when he went round there to get his stuff back.
I'm pretty sure this is what my sister is doing. These people are parasites.
Covert narcissists are very good at dishing out what they can't take back 🤣.
"Me takes from you, but you do not comes anywhere near my belongings, okays".
It's so childish and pathetic that you almost want to laugh but so unbelievably bloody annoying at the same time.
On the plus side, none of us are going to hell because we've already been through it on earth with our family 🤣🤣
Them, on the other hand, I don't know.
I've heard many cases of people killing themselves from all the gaslighting. And I've often been so close to that myself.

2024.05.21 03:09 Bxwitched161 Frequent urination post-op

Hi everyone! I had my surgery today! Total laparoscopic hysterectomy. I’m at home and feeling pretty good. Not much pain, thank goodness. But I’ve been peeing like every 10 minutes, no joke. I might as well stay on the damn toilet all night. Is this a problem or is this normal? I have been drinking lots of water. Should I stop?

2024.05.21 02:49 okryea Shoemaker protocol steps out of order

Is it possible to and is there a risk to doing the 12 Shoemaker step protocol out of order - for example, starting with addressing frequent urination and ADH correction instead of binders, cortisol or any of the other steps...? And which of the 12 steps are true dependencies versus just nice to tackle first?
