I’ve been a Kraken user for years (fully verified as a Pro user), but my recent experience has been a nightmare. They closed my account out of the blue and I’ve been waiting for a $200 withdrawal to my personal crypto wallet for over a week now. -Disclaimer: This is an examination of Dottore being a complex morally grey villain that wasn't just born 100% evil, it's NOT a case that he's a good boy.-
I'll assume Zandik is Dottore since it's very likely (plus, someone tried to name their Wanderer that but it didn't work.)
Let's start with the oldest piece of lore:
-- Doctor's Pinion reveals a tragic past with unknown reasons for persecution --
When Pierro first tried to recruit Zandik / Dottore, he responded:

"Will you treat me like the Akademiya did? Will you call me a monster, a madman?" "Or will you treat me as my hometown did, and chase me away with pitchforks and clubs...?"

Some people assume the persecution was because of his experiments but it's important to note that the fact is we don't know what happened so there's a chance it wasn't something evil. That he could be chased away by "pitchforks and clubs" indicates he was weak at that point and couldn't do anything to stop it.
He also expresses a desire to merge humans with machines.

"With or without a Vision, and irrespective of their physique or combat skills,"Enhanced humans" would surely display strength far beyond the average."

This shows a desire to give power to the weak (likely including himself), even if they lack visions. Which isn't inherently a bad thing, it's just against the Akademiya's teachings. This applies even to Scaramouche, whose power had been locked by Raiden and he unlocked it.
-- Mysterious moral convictions --
Although a lot of the fandom accuses him of having no ethics or morals at all, there are several hints that this isn't the case.
He got mad at Scaramouche when told: "you only care about your crazy experiments" and told Nahida he has "his own convictions, we just don't share them" which were both conveniently not further explained. There is also the Jeht quest incident but i'll discuss it later on.
-- Eleazar hospital notes --
To briefly summarize the notes, he cured a patient using another dead patient's remains. His treatment was harsh but successful. These notes read like a Dr. House script, Dottore not giving a crap about the patient's religious beliefs included.
Abbas had a terrible ending because he had developed insanity and ran away. Zandik/ Dottore left a note warning not to let him go but it seems the staff didn't listen.
These notes align with how plague doctors were misunderstood and feared in real life. This motif was incorporated into his video game iteration, replacing the joker / clown persona.
Some people interpreted these notes as "Dottore murders and mutilates people that are alive for experiments" but there's no indication of that.
-- Aranara experiment notes --
These are the worst by far. It's unclear if the "subjects" were people with Eleazar or healthy people exposed to the withering for tests. It has to be pointed out that it seems the actions were done by his subordinates since it's likely Dottore reprimanding them at the end:

"This is a waste of resources. It is advisable to watch over the subjects' mental state in the next experiment and avoid exposing them to extreme environments... Lab Lead on duty: ████"

Yes, this sounds bad but it's proof he isn't a sadist that enjoys watching pain.
It also means he is higher in a moral standpoint than characters like Jack Horner. These type of characters don't care or enjoy deaths with the pretext of "we can always get more lackeys."
-- During the Jeht quest --
Froderock (a subordinate of Dottore) wants to capture an eremite. It is stated he is acting on his own and that Dottore gave an order not to kidnap eremites.
A note by another Fatui member states that Froderock is going to get killed for going against the order. We can theorize that the Harbinger himself would kill him. There's also a line about "following military regulations" which means his subordinates operate under a code and can't just kidnap people for experiments for the lols.

Fatui Negotiator: Professor Froderock was looking for live specimens in the desert — he always defied The Doctor's orders... That's just pure jealousy, if you ask me
...I urge you to consider, Captain Zoya, that if we are able to complete this research work in the desert, perhaps our entire expeditionary force may receive the favor of our great Harbinger... (This line has been crossed out using a red pen, and a line in red has been added: "How about you consider military regulations? Or perhaps you would like to consider how long you have left to live?")

A similar thing happened with Arlecchino in the Fortune Slip quest in Inazuma. Subordinates of her were acting on their own by following the previous Knave's teachings to make some orphans for the House.
-- *Time of Insight Artifact * --
It mentions a "mad scientist expelled by the akademia" and the text under it seems to be Dottore speaking.
The last part says:

"Those sellswords (Eremites) once did much for me. I trust they will not disappoint this time, either."

Combining Jeht quest with this makes it seem that eremites helped Dottore in some way and he is fond enough of them to slaughter a subordinate that brings them harm.
The following text seems to be Dottore's reason to want to capture Aranaras:

"The dream had to be captured — along with the inhabitants of the forest who could control dreams, To remind that friend once again of one's own form and the memories that were shared.
If the organ that governs memory has taken too much damage and cannot be healed, Then bring another old friend and dwell in dreams of the past together, Play in a small tree house, and explore the limitless depth of the jungle. Yes, that would be nice as well. For in dreams, everyone has a chance to start over."

I couldn't find more info about this "friend". It seems to be someone who suffered the effects of erosion or death, or an aranara that lost their memory.

Alhaitham: (To Siraj / the villain, after praising his intelligence)

"You would never let a test subject escape. Mistakes like that are beneath you, and you also won't leave any mistake without a resolution."

This is relevant because we know Dottore is canonically smarter than Siraj yet he didn't hunt down Collei (Barnabas is the one that traumatized and wanted to kill her), Abbas or Scara. It's a known thing there's a Fatui code that traitors and deserters are executed to avoid spilling secrets. Dottore leaves even Scara alone, you may argue that he was lazy but suspiciously Childe, who during Labyrinth Warriors was chasing Scara, soon appeared in Inazuma in a photo taking event, leaving for Snezhnaya, after Scara lost his gnosis.
It was never explained why Childe was chasing him to take away the Gnosis yet suddenly Scara appeared with Dottore without Childe. This is suspicious because Childe loves to fight, to the point he wanted to fight Arle while recovering on her SQ. He didn't even show up to finish off Scaramouche at the end.
To play Devil's advocate, it could also be Scaramouche is a part of some unknown plan too and nothing to do with mercy.
-- Dottore's speech to Niwa --
Taking into account Nahida's story that says: "the monster found solace in the kitten", the black bird referring to himself as "a monstrosity yet they are too foolish to see it" and Dottore's lines to Pierro:

"Will you call me a monster, a madman?"

Dottore sees himself as an inhuman monster. It puts into question if the following line wasn't just about Scaramouche and is actually a metaphor of Dottore speaking about his past:

"Escher: Even without you, that pure, innocent puppet would only end up being used by someone else instead. What other reason would a human have for befriending one who is not of our kind?"

Although Dottore refers to himself as "human", the two lines I quoted previously contradict this. Mentally he sees himself as not human (to the point of finding solace in a living puppet), even though his words say otherwise. There is also a chance this Dottore was no longer human at all, the Nahida story shows the monster bird had tiny floating birds around, even though he hadn't studied Scaramouche to create the segments.
There is also a stark contrast between Dottore joining the Fatui expresing concern over been rejected again yet he is embracing his monster persona in the Niwa scene.

"Escher: Think of me as a monster or a demon, if you wish... "

It could be a sign of a person with trauma who steered into an evil path. Kept getting called a monster until he accepted it.
There could be many reasons for the change, besides being used, -incoming pure speculation- he could have experimented on himself to have less emotions or taking this quote into account: "everyone has a chance to start over in dreams" he believes he can commit atrocities and it won't matter because he plans to do a reset somehow.

" The Doctor: Jester, I have completed the task you gave me. Creating a gap and infiltrating Inazuma's inner workings... Heh, what fun it was. The Doctor: I'd like to introduce a puppet to you. If he proves useful, let's make him our newest comrade. And if not... let's turn him to dust."

The bold part is more clues of either future Scara related scheming or Dottore's words are an act, mercy was shown when he became useless. It also seems that Pierro stirred him into a darker path.
I wouldn't say it's confirmation that Pierro is pure evil because we barely know anything about him, there's a chance it was for some greater good since that's a trend with the Harbingers.
-- Possible Sohreh murder --
At first glance, it seems way too obvious that Zandik did it, it's like watching a murder mystery movie and the first suspect is a red herring.
Since people frequently incorrectly state: "Dottore murdered a girl while they were having a picnic" like a fact, I'm going to make a deep dive into these notes:
First there is no clear motive for him killing Sohreh. (Niwa had a purpose.)

attack of Rishboland Tigers. In need of first aid..."

The bold part implies she was still alive while Zandik was dealing with the Ruin Guard. The broken bone didn't happen during the picnic while he was alone with her. She was declared dead and buried after the attack, she could have been killed during it while everyone was distracted.
-Does the Akademiya think that Zandik is responsible?-
There is a message board that says he was investigated over her murder.
The lack of motive combined with Zandik only receiving negative consequences from saving the team makes me think he was framed and acted on impulse / emotion when saving them or he turned it on to spook the tigers and it accidentally killed her.
Why? He could have just ran away and let everyone die to not reveal he was hiding ruin guard knowledge. Which he expressed on the notes that he didn't want the rest to know:

"I am going to take them (Ruin guards) apart, and record the size and shape one by one...
...But first of all, this secret must not be revealed to the other team members..."
...Thank goodness, Zandik reacted quickly. Otherwise, the whole team would be in serious trouble..."

-Some people argue that "running away and letting everyone die would have been too suspicious so he saved them."
It's more likely he was just a weak regular human at that point in his life so it wouldn't have been too suspicious to run away / he actually risked his life to shut it down.-
The 2 burned notes both state: "Someone seems to have burnt the contents in a hurry" it could have been the person trying to frame him. One of them is a note about the Ruin Guards and has Zandik's signature, they may have wanted to steal credit of his research.
-Regarding who framed Dottore, u/Sandflow_23 commented an excellent theory
lt seems Zandik didn't care much about Sohreh's death since he proceeded to ask the team to take back the Ruinguard while she was bleeding but the Eleazar hospital notes come after this incident. Was this his first instance of curing people?
Did being unable to save someone influence him in some way? It may just be coincidental but it's worth taking note. I'm trying to look at all possibilities.
People usually see Sohreh's note as "she learned Dottore's secret so he murdered her" But something I haven't seen discussed is how there is also a chance he trusted her and decided to open up to people more. Previously he said studying Ruinguards could get him kicked out but after the following note by Sohreh, he decided to try to convince his team to take back the ruin guard:

"...Zandik was attracted by the ancient machines left behind by some civilization here...
We had a great time and decided to go on a picnic tonight..."

Finally, to play Devil's Advocate: it seems he also had another secret mission that was never explained.

"...It's a shame that documents regarding its (the giant golem's) energy supply systems have been lost, and I have far too important a mission to accomplish to afford to start from scratch. If not..."

He could have killed her because she learned that secret but it's still weird that he'd go and choke her with people focused on him speaking about Ruinguard studies.

Lyney said "he proposed the direction of the research " for the bottled flames. That he wants to give people "a chance to start over" was also hinted in Time of Insight artifact. I won't be surprised if it turns out most of the injured kids he took from Crucabena are actually fine. The Eremites, which he didn't want his subordinates to kidnap, were also healthy, so this is another instance of him seeking to work with weak people to give them power. I'm NOT denying there's a chance he wants to use it for some other plan like burning the tree like other Redditors have proposed
Finally, there remains the question of which Dottore would be playable. I predict the original or Omega. (Knocking off the angelic new segment theory)
We don't know if the original is alive, since Raiden destroyed her physical body (and the segments were based on Scaramouche) he could be dead BUT giving a kill switch to Omega may have a deeper meaning. Like those fragments of his mind from dead segments will re-materialize in an empty segment or object his soul is bound to or go back to Omega and change his personality, the former sounds like FullMetal Alchemist but a Remuria quest confirms this is a thing in Genshin.
Finally done, sorry if this is ridiculously long but I wanted to provide quotes to sustain the arguments, especially since some people hate him so much based on mostly misinformation.

New Flash everyone: the guy who hangs out with Daniel Greene(a pro-fairy rights socialist), is loved by redditors, and got a Hugo award is… woke. Who would have ever seen that coming? But, thanks to Jon Del Arroz making a video about it on May 18th, I am here to repeat the news back to you so there is an easily accessible source as to HOW he’s woke. Everything was revealed back in January 2023, but I want people to understand the implications and narrative that he’s presenting when he says his concerns about fairy rights. By the end of this, you will realize that people calling themselves Christian does not cause them to be immune to wokeness.
In fact, with how Christianity has influenced wokeness into existence, it’s likely a lot of "Christians" are what we can call “first wave wokeness”.
For context, Brandon Sanderson is a Mormon, part of the Latter-Day Saints (LDS). Mormonism is almost exclusively a US issue, and I’ve also noticed that there are a lot of youtubers who tend to be Mormon women(probably because they have other women in the house to do the chores). These people are great with money, big in business, and their church is anti-fairy. A lot of problems the fairy-rights activists have are with Mormon churches, which is strange for Europeans to witness with how open a lot of their churches are, outside of the US. Protestant, evangelical, unitarian, the national church of Denmark, it’s a big list.
But in 2008, Brandon wrote an essay about his Mormon beliefs on how Dumbledore from Harry Potter liked to have wands stirred around in his brown cauldron. His quote:

How does this relate to Dumbledore? I'm not trying to present him as an antagonist or a villain. All I'm saying is that if you believe in the truth of your message, then you shouldn't care if someone decent, respected, and intelligent is depicted as believing differently from yourself. This was a second “cancellation” that didn’t go very far, mostly because he was able to use religion as an excuse for his take, with the Christian Cake Packed With Fudge Scandal not happening yet(2018).
Fast forward to 2023, after he hangs out with a bunch of woke youtubers, and we get a new quote from Brandon:

The church’s first prophet, Joseph Smith, famously taught, “I teach them correct principles and they govern themselves.” My current beliefs are where I’ve arrived on my journey, as I attempt to show the love that Jesus Christ taught. I look forward to seeing further changes in the church, and I work to make sure I am helping from within it to create a place that is welcoming of \[fairy\] people and ideas. I would love, for example, to see the church recognize \[fairy\] marriage among its members. Both temporally and eternally. I would support ordaining \[tinkerbell\] men to the priesthood. (And would support the ordination of women, though that is another issue.)

That’s interesting. It seems like he made a complete 180 on his stance, claims that he’s always believed this new stance, blames Jesus for this new stance, and then doubles down on this new stance by adding female ordination(becoming a priest and higher) and even Tinkerbells. As time went on, he decided that his religion was totally wrong about fairies, and this 13 year difference means way more than the nearly 200 years Mormonism has been around. I believe a fellow Mormon, Shadversity, would love to have a discussion about how any of this makes sense, but I’m starting to feel that he’s the same way. Who knows if Ethan Van Sciver understands Mormonism as well as Brandon Sanderson does, with how easy it is to manipulate prophecies and reinterpret scripture.
But that’s been the point for a while, right?
Wokeness is here to restructure both historical evidence and even religions, in order to shift cultures and social institutions to obey this progressive change. Words are changed in the dictionary, social “norms” are changed to be updated for a “modern audience”, and postmodernists like Foucault were able to trick college kids into thinking the Greeks were all pixie fairies. Once a critical theorist gets their hands on something with power, their goal is not to keep it as it is. It is to keep it for themselves. This is why you will hear these people say everything is subjective, which is secret code for “Look at me: I’m the captain of reality now.”

He was already big on reddit, he knew all about his fandom, and he knew about his publisher, Tor. The only thing that really changed is that now he is unable to stick to being liberal and he has to present himself as progressive. Why? Well, the new Amazon deal happened recently, and he’s the writer of the series The Wheel of Time. As if Rings of Power wasn’t evidence enough of how Amazon mistreats their properties, Brandon was forced to erase his own past, like Agent J in Men in Black, burning his own hands in the process.
I’m not surprised that he’s woke or even that Christians are falling to this woke inquisition. When I said first wave wokeness, I would like to clarify why it’s the catalyst for all of this stupidity. Wokeness is not of Christian values, but instead a parasite upon Christianity, in the same way Gnosticism and Satanism would be. When Christianity started to allow new sects, and a lot of these were considered valid, the crazy sex cults of the 60s opened the floodgates for a bunch of crazy reinterpretations. It’s the same way as how there are still circles of Christianity that go for flat earth theory or say that dinosaurs don’t exist, with these people usually at the forefront of the home-schooling movement.
It’s not that home-schooling is bad by itself, it’s that bad people use it to then have the good people using it be wrongfully grouped into the same area, in the same way gun-ownership does. This type of bastardization has always been a problem in the US, due to the lack of authority over what makes something categorized as such a thing, thanks to liberalism allowing the freedom to constantly change things. As time went on, this liberalism changed into progressivism, with the key difference being that liberalism is an allowance of change while progressivism is an enforced change. The liberalism of the 1800s allowed the Confederates to claim Christianity approved of their enslavement of black people, by blaming the story of Ham and using scripture to claim it was okay to enslave certain people for generations. We always see this strange cherry-picking of scripture from fake Christians, and this problem has expanded into the Vatican itself with the current and following generations of Popes.
A lot of times, we’ll hear news about how Christians are under attack, a bakery is targeted to expose discrimination, or even where people claim they were banned from twitch for being Christian. But what they get wrong is that they are in the same circle as liberal and progressive Christianity, their openness created this weakness to tourism, and most Christian circles have been taken over in the US since before the 60s. The south has a culture of being liberal, Mormons have a culture of being liberal, protestants are very liberal, all because the US began as a liberal culture in the form of classical liberalism. The libertarian argument is always used by these liberal groups, that changes into the progressive enforcement, and over the years these liberal people get infected by the virus.
Add money to the mix, and we have ourselves an endless chain of liberal minded people falling to wokeness. The “redemption” narrative, along with original sin, from Christianity is currently its main weakness. The appeal to ignorance is another weakness, with people playing skeptic as a snake slithers through the grass. Christianity isn’t the problem by itself, it’s the naivety that comes from blind faith, which then expands into a contradictory blind faith that people are good inside, only to later wonder why everything is changing for the worse when evil people are put in charge. Fantasy stories have been under attack by the woke for quite a while, long before they tried to appropriate Tolkien with Rings of Power.
The fantasy that is controlled by the woke is an extension to their attack on religion, because to them a fantasy story is no different than a bible. Mythological presentation, symbolic themes, a dream-like world to present morals to follow; the entire thing has been used by Brandon to then have him later claim that he’s always had fairy characters since the beginning. Sure, his religion says fairies are bad, but then he virtue signals by claiming he’s always made fiction about how they’re good. He would never say this if the publishing world made sense and if publishers were the way they were in the 1950s. That is because he would never have to choose between religion and money back then, with money always mattering more to the typical materialist.
I’m sure people will say that I’m being hard on Christians, or that I’m evil for saying this, or even that I am a satanist for noticing. These people would only be angry at the truth being said, which is the opposite of what Christianity teaches. Fantasy writers, like Brandon, have a lot of supporters, with this support merging between the woke and Mormons. So many feel that they need to make sense of their fandom, so they claim their religion is wokeness, converting it into blind Satanism. This is far from the truth and we need to condemn those who focus solely on radical subjectivity.
Especially if they blame God for their stupid takes, like how Brandon does now.

To set the board state, the opponent has Totem Dragon and a face down monster, both in defense mode, on his field. I have Blue-Eyes Spirit Dragon, Danger! Thunderbird!, and Blue-Eyes Abyss Dragon in attack position, with a face down Imperm on my field.
Once my turn rolls around, I Xyz summon Galaxy-Eyes Cipher Dragon, and that action left me completely unable to use the effect of the Nebula Dragon I have in my hand. I haven’t even started using Cipher Dragon’s effect yet, just summoning it is doing this.
A lack of fodder for the effect isn’t the issue; I had a Blue-Eyes White Dragon in my hand I was planning on using, and unless I’m reading the effects wrong, I don’t see anyhow I shouldn’t be able to use Nebula Dragon here… Do you guys have any insight on this?

I recently learned the distinction between normal, heavy, high temp, and sanitize wash options on residential dishwashers. I’m curious how a dishwasher that is set to “normal” or “high temp” is safe to use with products like raw eggs, poultry, ground beef, etc.
Shouldn’t there be concern about food borne illness being spread among all of the dishes in the machine when the dishwasher is unable to meet the standards set for sanitization? Please explain how these lower-cost units are still able to get the job done without high temp capability.

For quite some time, I've been dealing with a set of issues which I would describe as "depression". Inability to focus, fatigue, and more, wrecked havoc in everything I do, and did: be that academic successes, communication, or gaining any useful skills.
Those issues have no obvious reason to exist: my body's physical health is fine as far as I know, lifestyle is good, and, unfortunately, I have nothing to say about mental health.
But past few months, I've entertained the possibility of me being some variety of MtF. I've educated myself on various resources on this, like this, or this, this subreddit, and more.
One of the things I've found while searching for information is the so called "biochemical dysphoria", and it's description, with "dissociation" and "derealization" can explain some of the issues I am dealing with as of now.
Possibility that estrogen HRT can help with those issues made me more interested in it.
Physical effects of HRT are irrelevant to me. But only they are certain, while effects of HRT on brain and mind are hard for me to predict making decision making process harder.
Due to me living in Central Asia, "Planned parenthood" clinics, therapists, or any other competent mental healthcare services are unavailable for me. And that means that only DIY HRT is possible. Financial difficulties also make HRT a rather expensive venture for me.
Below I present what I thought of as possible scenarios for me:
Assuming I seek to procure HRT, I:

• Will expend untold amounts of time and a lot of money on it.
• Will have to deal with feminisation of body, and issues stemming from possibility of others to take note of this.
• Likely will have to deal with mental issues stemming from estrogen affecting my brain.
• Unlikely, I can change my goals, thus changing what I want from HRT.
• Unlikely, I will find that some physical effect of estrogen on body is not satisfactory.

All for the:

• "Issues" described before will become easier to deal with due to cessation of biochemical dysphoria.
• Unknown positive mental changes.

I am unable to give more definition to either of those two goals. I'm unable to answer when would I even consider those two goals achieved. And there is always something unaccounted for, ready to make all plans go awry.
Assuming I do not seek to procure HRT, I:

• Will not have to deal with negatives from being on HRT.
• Will keep living a disappointing, but tolerable life I do now.
• Will not know if HRT has positive effects for me.

Things in my life are fine after all. And issues I've mentioned are more easily explained by me being a badly spoiled, undisciplined drooling idiot.
But an idea that HRT can help to resolve so many issues can make all the "self-improvement" harder just by existing, and clogging brain bandwidth. So I should decide whatever HRT is a good option, or not, as soon as possible.
Conclusion for this decision making process depends on whatever I'm ready to put money and time on unknown possibility that HRT will be of any use to me.
It seems too good of a deal, judging by what I've read on the internet. Possibility that no, there are no worms eating my brain away; that I can just take some chemicals and everything will become so much easier; that there is so much less work ahead, seems like a beginning for some scam.
And yet, there is an unknown possibility that it is that good of a deal; that I should get HRT as soon as possible.
I should know better than considering going for something so nebulous. But I don't know better yet, and will ask:

Considering everything written above, would you recommend HRT as a solution to my mental issues?

Got arctis pro wireless headphones back in 2019 or 2020. Have used them without much issue on ps4 and ps5 without ever updating software or firmware. Have had minor issue where out of PlayStation rest mode my audio and mic are both muffled/low, but a power off and power on of the ps4/5 resolves the issue. I decided on a whim last week to check out SteelSeries website and noticed they had updates to include the ps5 as a source option (I always just used ps4 source while connected to ps5). After firmware update I was prompted to re-pair my headset to my transmitter. I was able to do so and see the mute button on my headset toggle the mute slider in the Gg app, but with basic sound test my Windows audio test sounds were not coming thru. I then went ahead with the software update. It again prompted me to pair my headset to my transmitter. However, I have been unable to do so. It shows pair failed each time I try. I have tried all sorts of resets of the transmitter (options reset), headset (unplug battery and hold power down for 10+ seconds), and even tried restoring to an old version of engine in attempts to install older firmware/SW versions. However, the headset is unable to see any further updates from the windows application (GG or old engine) because the applications are not recognizing my headset when plugged in with the provided usb cable, while Windows OS recognizes the headset when plugged in via device manager.
I see threads from years past with similar issues but none of the remedies have worked for me. It's as if the headset has no software installed; the headset seemingly will not enter pair mode. Bluetooth works fine.
I have been trying to work with SteelSeries support but thus far have not received any helpful info. They originally asked for log files which was a promising sign but have seemingly did not look at them. They asked for serial numbers which supposedly is just for show because they have no way of tracking to confirm the authenticity of their own product without a receipt from the supplier I purchased the headset from. I bought these years ago and am struggling to find my receipt or even my card transaction. I fear the purchase is on a since closed credit card. SteelSeries has no registration with aforementioned serial number, which would be the best way to ensure customer service without needing the owner to store a receipt (20th century). It's like they want to advertise customer support without having any support.
I have no clue how a company can push software updates to "legacy" hardware and then not support software issues.
A software engineer should easily be able to get my headset back on its feet, but the support just isn't there.

Hey all, I recently have been seeing a lot of people across the internet on different websites promoting not fixing your pets and provided pseudo scientific reasons for it. A lot of the content feels like it is "researched" in the same way antivax content is. After seeing this, I thought sharing the story of how my childhood cat died could shed light on why you need to fix your pets. Sharing this I believe can also help me grieving him years later.
A lot of this content describes fixing your pet as being for human convenience rather than necessity for your pet to live a long, happy life. In some situations of course you shouldn't get your pet fixed. For instance, if they have a deformity that would make it pointless or dangerous.
It isn't for convenience sake. Trust me when I say that I don't get my own pets fixed because of convenience. I do it because I want to see them for their whole lives.
Our first cat we didn't get fixed for all of the usual excuses people give for it but his health wouldn't listen to those excuses. He would sneak out, roam the neighborhood, etc. until he found other male cats to fight with over a female. He would return with all fur on the top of his head gone, parts of his ear torn or cut, and sometimes an eye shut because it was scratched from him fighting males and impregnating other cats.
He lived to 4 years old before he was diagnosed with feline aids. His last month of life he was bedridden, unable to move, and any touch or petting hurt him from the disease. The disease slowly progressed from the start to the finish of that month. It got to a point that 3/4 of us wanted to make the decision to put him down but my little sister's want for him to live was enough that my parents disregarded his pain and my want for him to be put down. During the final day of his life, his breathing started to rattle and he dragged himself to the door constantly begging to go back outside. His breathing kept getting worse and it was obvious he was going to die since the rattles began that morning.
That night we decided to be kind to him and let him leave out the door and monitor him. After he was let outside we noticed that all he wanted to do was get as far from us as he could get so we wouldn't watch him die. He flopped himself off the front porch onto the grass and dragged himself using his two front paws under our car. We decided to leave him entirely so he wouldn't have to struggle to run away from us anymore as he wanted to go that way. He laid under that car until he perished hours later after. We couldn't put him down due to my little sister throwing a fit that putting him down was wrong because she loved him all the way until the end (I really hate that our parents didn't end his suffering to this day).
The sound of his failing lungs, my sister wailing to leave him alone, and the sight of his desperation to drag his corpse of a body has haunted me since. I will never have a pet that hasn't been fixed ever again.

Hello all, I've been slowly collecting parts over the last few years for my 124. Parts have included AMG monoblock wheels, factory sportline springs, Bilstein shocks and a factory front sportline sway bar. My list is almost complete and ready to begin installation.
However, my one missing part is a rear sportline sway bar Part# 124-326-19-65. I've been unable to find this part new, used or anywhere. While I would prefer to use factory parts, I've also had no luck in the aftermarket sway bar sector either.
My last 124 (RIP) had the sportline kit with 500E sway bars and while it was overkill, that car handled like it was on rails. So I know the impact of bigger sway bars.
Please let me know any advance or recommendations you have. Thanks in advance.

So, I know this person who uses cheats in video games. They've cheated in practically every game imaginable and have been hardware ID banned in all of them. Afterwards, they go on to sell their PC on Facebook Marketplace. The buyer takes a look at the PC, thinking everything is good, but then they open their favorite game only to discover that their main account is banned, leaving them unable to play games on their PC anymore. Unfortunately, there isn't a definitive method to check this before making a purchase, but it's something to be mindful of. Additionally, some individuals purchase PCs from retailers like Best Buy or Amazon, use cheats, and then return them, which is equally frustrating. So, stay safe out there!

It is really scary and frightening to me that Verizon won't send you transcripts of conversations you personally have with them (without a subpoena) and sometimes even "lose" the transcripts, such that they are supposedly completely unrecoverable. You also can't easily select the text and "copy/paste" it into another program after changes to the website -- you essentially have to take screenshots constantly to record interactions with them.
Be aware and be concerned!
tl;dr: Multiple Verizon customer support agents tried to secretly add services multiple times, lied directly to me, and then an executive PR person tried to smooth it over by still refusing to give transcripts after thinking I would send the transcript to news media or something.
Long story version:
The story in my case was I talked with some customer service reps and was trying to cancel my TV (since I hadn't used it in like ~7+ months and the previous times I tried to cancel it I gave up after being frustrated due to not being able to find a way to cancel it without talking to someone) and went down a dark pattern rabbit hole both on the Verizon website and through customer service / PR actions. Luckily, I took screenshots of a lot of the conversations. Just writing this all down here for my records and to vent my frustrations.
After spending some time with a customer service rep explaining my issue (trying to cancel TV and the website continually re-adding the TV plan and other things in checkout), I was immediately transferred to another agent without warning -- not a big deal, but was odd since I didn't get a chance to confirm that was okay. The next agent I walked through everything again, saying how it kept re-adding TV and/or changing other parts of the plan. Eventually, after about an hour and multiple weird typos ("As you mentioned, you want to remove remote and check the bill?" / "I am really sorry I am Tv." / "I am getting Type sorry 😬"), the agent finally understood my request and went to cancel the TV. However, in asking for confirmation to cancel it, they had randomly added 1 Gig-streaming and a few other things ( https://i.imgur.com/rZ7gKk6.png ) without my consent and tried to pass it off as being the new plan -- they did this a second time after I first spotted it ( https://i.imgur.com/7346CFF.png ). Then, on the third time around, they still tried to change my phone service to "Home 3.0" ($5 more a month than our current plan) without consent directly after literally saying they wouldn't make changes without approval ( https://i.imgur.com/6PRTvT3.png ).
When confronted on this, the agent said that was already my plan ( https://i.imgur.com/tPeM05T.png ) when it most certainly wasn't ( https://i.imgur.com/nMBnTRS.png ). When they checked for the 5th time, they finally did confirm that my plan was the $20 one but they couldn't select it because it wasn't an option anymore, but I had just found the buried option to cancel the TV itself without changing the rest of my plans and explained to them how they were wrong ( https://i.imgur.com/Xkhctd4.png / https://i.imgur.com/zx8fJeE.png ). Extremely frustrated that the agent kept adding things and lying to me, I asked for a transcript of the chat -- which they said they couldn't do and could only give me a chat ID which would only be usable on Verizon's end. Whatever, I figured, I'll just try escalating the issue to get the transcript and/or stuff dealt with after getting the message ID ( https://i.imgur.com/0zRSV82.png ). I was transferred, at least this time with my approval, to a "loyalty specialist agent" who basically said they could do nothing, couldn't help me, couldn't escalate the issue, but could read the message from the chat ID but couldn't send it to me or quote anything from it to me either. After trying to get them to cancel the TV and hearing the same lies and randomly added services from before, I just canceled it manually myself and ended the chat in anger.
While talking to the "loyalty specialist agent" I was also talking to a Verizon support agent on X/Twitter. They said they couldn't access messages on other platforms, but corporate Verizon could and if I wanted to escalate the message I could try contacting corporate leadership ( https://www.verizon.com/about/our-company/executive-bios ) and suggested contacting "Sowmyanarayan Sampath (Sampath) - Executive Vice President and CEO Verizon Consumer Group" out of everyone on that list. That Verizon support agent was actually helpful -- a shocking change of pace from the past 3-4 agents I've dealt with!
And so I sent a short version of this story to Sampath on that website detailing my issues and frustrations and what they should do to improve these issues, remove the dark patterns, and create a better experience for their customers ( https://i.imgur.com/T2Sr6Ff.png ). About 30 minutes later a PR agent from executive called me, she said she read my complaint, got the messages from that chat ID, and wanted to make sure my concerns were taken care of. I told her the main thing I wanted was a transcript of my messages, my complaint and issues with dark patterns to be taken seriously, and maybe some account credit for all the time and hassle (going on nearly 4 hours at this point). She asked why I wanted the transcript -- was it just for my own records or to send to some news media or something. I told her I already had multiple screenshots (which she agreed, strangely enough, was good practice) and just wanted them for my records, but I might consider sending them to others. She said she would look into doing what she could, both with sending me the transcript and getting compensation, without mentioning any of the dark patterns or other issues I raised, and would get back to me in a day or two.
After dealing with all that I figured I'd also go through and update some of my account info and verify some new phone numbers. But nothing on the website was working properly and clicking on multiple confirmation links (both sent to email and two different text messages) weren't doing anything. How foolish of me to try customer support again... who this time tried to help me by sending me a confirmation link only for that not to work. After debugging some stuff, I found it was a mobile link, and even when opened on mobile it wouldn't work. The agent said I needed the Verizon app and to just download and install it. I told them I didn't want to and shouldn't have to because that is silly -- I should be able to verify an updated phone number without having to download an entire app. They insisted it was the only way and nothing else would verify me ( https://i.imgur.com/RGYaKA8.png ). This again made no sense and due to all the constant frustrations I was facing I asked for another chat ID (just in case they were lying again and it wasn't the only way to verify) and I ended the chat, called it for the day, and poured myself a large glass of whiskey.
I kept waiting and waiting for this executive PR agent to call me back and figured they were just going to ignore me and never call back. However, she finally called me back just a few hours ago, 8 days later, with some bad news. For the frustration of dealing with all this (4+ hours and being transferred around, secret product upgrades / services pushed on me, and being lied to), they would give me half off for a single month (whoopee), and couldn't do anything else. As for the transcripts? The original conversation she said not only couldn't be sent to me, but couldn't be viewed anymore and was apparently completely lost. She explained that sometimes they use third party companies to handle support and they must have deleted it or lost it or something -- which again seems odd to me since I asked them specifically to save and send me the transcript so you'd think they would keep it, but I guess not ("C.Y,A. Policy" anyone?). I mentioned I did have some screenshots, and again she agreed that was good practice. But what about the other conversations? She said that Verizon couldn't and wouldn't send it to me unless they had a subpoena for it, as that was corporate policy.
So, since Verizon clearly doesn't care about these systemic issues, hidden upgrades, lying support agents, website dark patterns, lack of transparency, and refusal to send transcripts ... remember to protect yourself by *ALWAYS* saving and recording all your conversations with this borderline monopolistic evil mega corp.

Hi, I hope this post is ok here. My dad has an iPhone 12 that is remotely managed by his employer. He uses this as his main device. Last week the device totally crashed and he was unable to get into the phone for a week until they provided him some kind of password or credentials. I have an iCloud family plan that I do share with him so he was able to access everything he had on iCloud. However, the iCloud account is through is work email address. I want to set up a separate iCloud for him that uses his personal email so that he doesn’t run the risk of ever losing access to his iCloud backup by not being able to access his work email (i.e. when he retires). Is it possible to backup an iPhone to two separate iCloud accounts? I’m not sure if the phone will allow him to use an iCloud email that isn’t his work email address. If it does allow for a personal iCloud to be used, how would I go about transferring or backing up that phone to the new iCloud account?

I have about 2TB worth of photos and videos in my iCloud library and I want to get them off iCloud and onto local storage.
You would think this would probably be simple…but you would be wrong
Here’s what I’ve tried
1) Download off iCloud.com Downloading off web-based iCloud doesn’t work because some of the small packets of data they download as zip files inevitably fail so you’re unable to stitch the file structure back together once the download is complete, rendering the entire download useless
2) Export from desktop Photos app The same problem happens when you try to export from the desktop Photos app. Some files will export as intended, but many will encounter an error. There is not an easy way to quickly quickly find all the files in your library that had errors so the only real way to solve it is to download the whole thing again. Of course there will be other errors on your next attempt so you get stuck in an infinite loop of downloading the same thing over and over again.
3) Turn off iCloud and download library to local storage This seems to be the only way I found that might actually be able to get the entire library downloaded in one shot. The problem is, it is insanely slow. I have about the fastest Internet possible, but yet when I try to download the Photos library it downloads at a rate of about 200 kB per second which isn’t even 1GB/hour
It seems to me that Apple is intentionally making this process extremely difficult…which makes it all the more frustrating. Even if I only wanted to take a small part of the library and not completely transition away from iCloud, let’s say for instance my largest videos… I can’t even do that because Apple doesn’t allow you to sort your media by file size!
They effectively make your only option to buy more iCloud storage and never stop using their platform so they keep you hooked within the Apple ecosystem.
I’m open to any ideas at this point… I just desperately want to be done with this godforsaken horrible software Apple photos and not have to deal with this anymore
Edit: I should add that I’ve taken measures to prevent errors from occurring like making sure my computer does not go to sleep and that any drives involved stay active. I’m using the program Amphetamine along with fixing the energy saver preferences in Apple’s system preferences to make sure everything stays awake and no errors are caused on my end.

At my work we had a VOIP phone system put in and ever since then, out Internet has been wonky. Video calls will get disconnected and come back on 10-30 seconds later, the phones will be disconnected from service, and when I do a speed test, the download speeds are all over the place. It might be 250mbps or as low as 4mbps.
We use Verizon and the direct line goes through a switch to the voip phone to desktop. This is wired with Ethernet. Some of the cables are older- at least 6 years old.

I joined a Whatsapp investment group ( Chris Wealth Investing ) that the Professor " Chris Johnson" teaches folks on how to invest in Crypto currency through Contract trading. So to invest we had to open an account on the Trading platform DREAMLOFTYDREAMS.COM. So on the platform we invest from Bitcoin to other currencies. The other currencies we invested in were M, FT, AOT, KOC, NOV, OIT, PXT, SPL which were not found elsewhere. I asked them how come i did not see the currencies on Coin base and they told me that coin base was not that flexible and i bought the lie.
The leader informed the group that there were "Whales" in the currencies who are able to wipe out your account through contract trading. They said we had to increase our funds and to be able to survive an Whale attacks or from people with alot of money. Little did i know the "False Professor and "False group members" were in it. As the trading signal were released on whether to buy or sell the currencies the false professors and group members either traded the exact opposite causing some members to have their account wiped out. I was wiped out three times. They developed a Whale Program where members are guaranteed profit through investing:
If you invest $100,000 you are guaranteed $250,000 in 20 days. (Fish Group)( These seemed real as the false members kept posting all of the profits in the daily transactions) If you invest $200,000 you are guaranteed $500,000 in 20 days. (Dolphin group) If you invest $500,000 you are guaranteed $1,500,000 in 20 days. And more groups like that.
So i build my account to over $200,000 but on one occasion we had a "Whale Attack" that liquidated $84,000. I was supposed to join the Dolphin group but after losing the money i could not. I tried joining the fish group but they told me that the group was full. They told me they'll reimburse the loses if i came up with $50,000 and they will come up with $50,000. I told them i was not able to come up with the $50,000.
The kicked me out of the Whatsapp group and when i went to withdraw $104,000. They blocked my withdrawals. Am completely unable to withdraw the $104,000 after multiple attempts.
I believe its a Fraudulent Trading platform which is controlled by the Whatsapp group which makes it very detrimental to people finances

Pardon me if this has been discussed but just like the title says I feel as though my phone (iPhone 14 Pro) hardly ever connects to UW bands. I say this because I was a Verizon postpaid customer from Nov. 22 - Oct. 23 and even though their 5G coverage is sparse, when I was a postpaid customer I noticed I was connected to UW a lot more compared to now. My routine hasn't changed I still frequent the same locations and I'm using the same phone, but it is almost always on LTE or Mid-band 5G. So, either Verizon has scaled back their 5GUW coverage (which seems unlikely) or Visible is provisioned to connect less often to UW, I'm more inclined to believe the later especially because of the price (get what ya pay for I guess) and because all UW data is supposed to be unlimited. For reference I am on the Visible+ 2.0 plan and my location is Tampa, FL.

Context: I (22) am a grad student moving into a 2br apartment in Ohio soon. The lease is solely in my name, with one of my parents serving as the guarantor as I lack the finances to apply for the apartment alone.
A close friend (19) is in an unstable and unhealthy home environment and intends to leave without the support of their parents or family. I am offering to let them move in with me in my apartment. In practice, I want them treated as a co-tenant, splitting the rent and utilities 50/50. However, the landlord will not give them any legal liability or allow them to provide their own guarantor.
In lieu of any official contract with the landlord, I am pursuing an interpersonal contract delineating their responsibility over the payments. I trust them on a personal level, but they do not currently have any finances or a job, and will need to get all of that settled within a month. Therefore, for my sake--and my parent's sake as the guarantor--I need to ensure that, in the case that they are unable to find a job and pay their share of the rent, I will be in a position to hold them accountable or ask them to leave if it comes to it.
The question: is there precedent for what such a contract would look like? What kind of language should I use? I honestly have no idea what I'm doing and am kinda just winging it here, so guidance on where to start is deeply appreciated.

My docker image (ghcr.io/linuxservenzbget) updated recently to 24.1 and in the process broke ALL my post processing.
I see there was a major change to extensions in v24 and I've been able to get most of the essential post processing to work again.
The exception is the NotifyPlex extension. -I've tried multiple times to get the Plex Authentication Token using the built in script that uses my plex.tv usepass. It reports that it's successful, shows me a token in the little popup but never fills it into the setting. I've added it manually but that didn't seem to work. I eventually used the "old" method of viewing XML on a library item to get the token.
Now when I try to post process, whether the Refresh Method is s set to AUTO, CUSTOM or BOTH it doesn't seem to be able to either "auto detect" the category or if I use a custom id (in my case 3) it's unable to find category 3.
Has anyone else experienced issues with the "new" NotifyPlex built in extension?
It's frustrating to have a bunch of things that have been added to my file system only to find out later they weren't added to my Plex library, unless I manually refresh. I'd rather not set an interval in the plex settings to avoid over refreshing the library unnecessarily.
Any tips or workarounds? Thanks
