Hey I'm hoping I can get some help here. This problem has been driving me crazy for the last ~2 months
There's two manifestations of the problem. The first one is that sometimes when I first try to load a website I will get an error page that says Error: Connection Reset, then usually I have to reload the page maybe 5 or 6 times before it will finally load. The second one is that sometimes a website loads but a few up to maybe 2/3 of the images on a page don't load. Again, if I reload it 5 or 6 times I usually can get all the images to finally load. This is more common on sites with lots of small images.
This problem happens on both Chrome and Edge but not on Firefox. It also doesn't happen on the other computer in the house or our smart phones that also use Chrome and the same network. I'm not using a VPN or a proxy server. Video calls and streaming video seem to work fine.
Fixes I have tried to no avail: deleting cache/cookies, updating Chrome, uninstalling and reinstalling Chrome, resetting TCP/IP, disabling all extensions, resetting my modem/router, disabling Windows firewall, disabling Windows antivirus, disabling hybridized Kyber support in Chrome flags, disabling reader mode Chrome flag, disabling graphics acceleration setting, and probably a few other things I'm forgetting.
Any ideas?

Just a PSA. Not sure I'm really looking for any feedback, but it's welcome.
I was after a service more focused on tracking assets and net worth vs. other apps that are primarily budget-focused. After consulting Chat GPT on some options, I landed on Personal Capital so I went for it. Signed up, entered all of my info last night, and linked multiple accounts - including my Apple Card - and all of a sudden this morning I got back-to-back sign-in requests on my iPhone for my Apple ID from NSW, Australia. I'm in the US. I immediately thought PC or its bank data aggregation app (I don't recall which one it is) had been compromised. I'm pretty sure it wasn't Plaid.
I immediately changed my Apple ID password and signed out of all active sessions. Changed all my other accounts that were entered into PC. Ensured 2FA was active on everything, which it is. After that, got a notification from Capital One. After that, notification from my primary bank. My primary bank login's username is something so off-the-wall that now it's clear that all of the information I entered into their site was compromised and intercepted. I would only get a notification from any of these places if someone had the correct username. Only would get the Apple ID notification if someone had my username and correct password!
It was also strange that when I went to log into PC after this started taking place, the website was seriously slow. I was attempting to delete the account connections and delete my account with their service entirely. It took logging out a few times before I was able to accomplish this. The first attempt at deleting the account prompted a "There's a technical issue we're aware of, our team is working on it" message.
I called Empower to inquire about any Cyber events taking place. Fella denied anything and really acted like he didn't care about the issue since I didn't even have an account with Empower, nor did I feel it necessary or want to identify myself given current events. After a few minutes on hold, he provided me with a phone number directly for the department that manages the Personal Capital division. I called that line once and someone answered and immediately hung up. Called 4 more times and no one would answer - even more suspicious to me.
I do most of my online banking etc. behind secure enterprise firewalls. I have enough IT knowledge and background to get myself in trouble, but I'm certain enough to know that my computers aren't infected with anything, and firewalls on the networks I'm behind haven't had any strange connections picked up or blocked and logged. Just adding this because it's likely someone will think along the same lines I have.

Hi all,
I just bought a FW13 with 13th gen Intel and installed Ubuntu 22.04 LTS with the help of a friend.
I am having a ton of trouble with my internet connection and it's really weird.
I can connect to wifi networks, but then I can only connect to a few websites, which weirdly include
Sites I cannot connect to include (I tried a random selection) - La Repubblica (italian newspaper) - etsy - ebay.co.uk - pinterest - github - duckduckgo
It also won't connect when I am trying to sudo apt update && sudo apt upgrade as recommended here https://github.com/FrameworkComputelinux-docs/blob/main/Ubuntu22.04LTS-Manual-Setup-13thGen.md Or when I am trying to see if there are any software updates to apply through the GUI.
My kernel version is Kernel Linux 6.5.0-35 -generic x86_64
There is no firewall anywhere AFAIK. Our internet provider is Sky in the UK.
I am at my wit's end rn.
Any help much appreciated.
EDIT: I tried my mobile hotspot and the problem appears to be solved?

Hi all. Long story short.
I'm going down the rabbit hole, starting with a firewall. I plan on running pihole or similar at this level, still working out all the details on that.
Question is, is there a container that just bypasses paywalls across my whole network? I almost never use one because it's kind of a pain to grab the url, go to the website, but the url in. But if it just worked in the background, that would be really cool.

Problem: Device(s) on LAN have no access to Internet
• OPNsense 24.1.7_4 installed on VMware ESXi 7.0.3
• 2 ethernet ports confirgured, for LAN & WAN
• Topology: Router (DHCP) > OPNsense (DHCP Server, 10.29.251.0/24) > One Single User Device (Currently)
• OPNsense can ping 8.8.8.8
• OPNsense can ping user device on 10.29.251.10
• OPNsense [b]CANNOT[/b] ping 8.8.8.8 with source set to 10.29.251.10
I tried default settings, reset to factory settings and just used those, tried playing with the gateway, interfaces (Including unblocking private networks), firewall rules, and endless online videos, reinstalled OPNsense, installed os-vmware plugin, increased virtual machine resources...
Only thing I have not done is install OPNsense on baremetal.
Virtual Machine Specs:
CPU: 4 Cores, 2.70 Ghz (XEON Processor)
RAM: 8GB RAM
Storage: 120 GB
Network Adapter: 2 Adapters, set to VMXnet3
Also tried increasing resources to 8 cores, 12 GB RAM, as well as changing VMXnet3 to e1000.
Everything tells me "It should just work", but it's not, and I can't figure out why.
I honestly don't understand the concept of gateway or firewall rules very well, and keep blaming them.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
P.S.
My end goal is to connect 4 different WAN Routers, setup Load Balancing on OPNsense, and connect to my switch, serving my entire establishment.

Has anyone here been using AlpacaML with their GenP?
I tried to install AlpacaML manually but it turns out that I need an internet connection to use the plugin. The way I configure GenP is by using this script after following the main instructions:

But then when I needed to use AlpacaML, I needed to use the Internet. So I unblocked the connection for Photoshop.exe and then Photoshop slapped me with this. So do I need to reinstall the whole Adobe again or there's a remedy for this? Does it mean I can't use AlpacaML and anything that needs internet connection?

2024.05.20 22:48 ImAPersonYouAreToo Trying to setup AT&T Air Internet with my existing UDMP setup. It's not going well. Using ip passthrough, still showing double nat, game consoles and any big downloads just don't work. Can't download from the App Store on phones. No ipv6 given to UDM. etc...

So it was working normally or so I thought. Websites loaded, and day to day internet stuff was fine. Then about a week in, I tried to download an update on my xbox and playstation and they both failed. On the xbox, it will download the 79GB update at expected speeds for about a minute, then it looks like it is starting and stopping with slower speeds every time until it says "installation stopped"
On the playstation it will download the 1.6g sys update quite slowly and then just says "UPDATE FILE CORRUPTED"
Here's what I've done in the routers:
All fi hub;
IP Passthrough mode enabled with static MAC address pointing to UDM
All firewall options disabled
Wifi disabled
UDM Pro
It's currently been factory refreshed to see if that helped. It didn't. So I may go back to my backup but no real heavy changes.
Ipv6 enabled on the LAN and WAN
It's network is 198.162.0.0etc so I can still get to the guy of the all fi router at 198.162.1.1etc
DNS set to auto
xbox ports forwarded. Which made the xbox show open nat but the download issue persisted.
They both have DHCP server mode enabled. I would assume it's better to have just one, but I couldn't get that working in either configuration.
I'd really love to make this work as it is WAYYYYY cheaper than the next cheapest competitor for me. But its not looking like it's in the cards.
