2024.05.21 07:39 FewCryptographer8558 Why is the color removed from my viewport render?
I am working on a logo and watching a tutorial. Weβre adding some area lights in. First picture is mine, second picture is the instructorβs logo in the tutorial. Our viewport shading settings are the same. You can see how her viewport is showing color but mine is colorless. Mine doesnβt have as much color as hers, the front text is like a milky white and the back outline has a pearl material. I included the third picture as it shows the pearl material better.
I canβt really tell if my lighting looks good because the colors arenβt showing properly. This is my fourth day using Blender so any help would be appreciated, thank you!

2024.05.21 03:40 No_Contribution2629 Having trouble with svg files.
I've got a fairly cheap laser engraver that I'm tinkering around with. I know the basics of stuff but I've tried downloading some ttrpg terrain files from Etsy. They are in svg format set for 550mmx350mm(my engraver can only do 400x400. I have a basic concept of how too paste them into paint and to accommodate the size I need(basically making smaller images.)
However in doing so, It only is capable of shading the minor details. Trying to edit it in paint to vectorize is proving fruitless. Is there a way to use the original file format without editing. Ya know, use the same file too do the little designs AND cut the final product?

2024.05.20 21:52 Which-Fix-1382 Questions about Inkscape.
Iβm working as a DTP operator and a media designer. Iβm doing a lot of pre-press work and got a lots of pdf, svg, TIFF files. I have to check the overprint fills, bleeds, curves that opend or closed, create swatches in files for the press to know what to cut out and what to print in PANTONE, etc. My problem is Adobe is getting more expensive for me when Iβm working from home and my company canβt buy me additional licenses. Is Inkscape good for pre-press alone without hunting for plugins and addons?

2024.05.20 21:08 PM_ME_ASIAN_BOOBYS How to fix a group of sketch elements? Or best alternative
I have a surface on which I want to make a complicated cutout which I have in an SVG file.
My current process for doing this is:
- Create the sketch with projected points etc on the surface
- Import the cutout svg (it is a big group of lines and curves)
- Since the imported cutout is not constrained I can't just pick a point and use the coincident constraint to move it into position; instead I have to use the point to point feature.
This sucks a lot because the cutout is not constrained and so will get messed up if I change things. I could fix the cutout once it is in position but again this would not work properly when I change things.
Is it possible to fix the cutout (group of sketch lines and curves) relative to itself so I can still move it as a whole?
From what I can tell Fusion doesn't have this feature in which case I would love to hear how you would go about doing this process as I am very unsatisfied with how I am currently doing it

2024.05.20 17:04 nanotime Vite build not processing all assets in the /assets folder. Anyone had the same issue?
I have a problem that I've been investigating for a couple of days and I can't seem to resolve it.
In my application, I'm building a
component, which essentially checks a numeric code matrix as keys for a Map and returns the address of the icon to be used.
The problem lies in that I have two types of icons, animated and static, each in its respective folder within /assets. The logic works perfectly in the dev environment, but when I run vite build, it only processes the assets from the /assets/animated folder.
I understand that Vite by default only processes the assets that are explicitly imported/exported and used in /src, and this is exactly what I'm doing. I've tried several approaches, such as separating the assets folder by prefixing the files with animated- or static-, importing and exporting the file addresses in helpers, having separate components for animated/static icons, but Vite still doesn't process the assets the way I want.
I've attached the helper code, the folder structure for assets, and the component code. Maybe someone can see something that I'm not seeing.

```tsx const findRow = (matrix: number[][], code: number) => { return matrix.filter((row) => { const icon = row.find((i) => i === code); if (icon) return row; })[0]; };
export const WeatherIcon: FC = ({ code, tw, description }) => { const foundRow = findRow(codesMatrix, code); const icon = StaticMap.get(foundRow); if (!icon) return ;
return ( ); };
export const AnimatedWeatherIcon: FC = ({ code, tw, description }) => { const foundRow = findRow(codesMatrix, code); const icon = AnimatedMap.get(foundRow); if (!icon) return ;
return ( ); };
2024.05.20 16:49 brohvis Easy, Accessible, Themed SVG in Next.js
Hey there π
Iβm a designer turned developer and I really struggled with using SVG in Next.js with MDX when I first started development. Specifically, making logo clouds, social icons, etc. proved challenging when trying to ensure they were high contrast and accessible in both light and dark mode.
Using SVG in a React component was feasible, but naming imports for each file or using them inline just to support theming felt clunky and unintuitive. The list quickly grew unmanageable and I felt like I was wasting my time.
Next Image and img tags in markdown or a parent component in MDX wasnβt great either - no one likes the βhackyβ approach of hiding the
light artwork on the
dark background and vice versa. Plus, this meant I was going to have to
constantly export
light and dark versions of the artwork.
I found a suitable workflow by writing a reusable component that finds any .svg files in a subdirectory that match a prop that you can call from the parent - so it works in MDX, AND itβs TailwindCSS compatible. No importing or named importing each file, easily switch an .svg file with another, style it with TailwindCSS. That's it.
The result is a dramatically improved Developer Experience that feels natural and clean, and keeps my .mdx files super concise and readable.
I am trying to add an image to a canvas (.net wpf). That part works fine but i get the following error:
If I use a png instead of a svg, it works fine but it seems that i cant pass a svg into a bitmap image. Is there any workaround?
