2024.05.20 22:45 TheBlaringBlue Gaming's Art of the Keepsake

I’ve had a lot of adventures in my life.
I’ve traveled, made friends, seen sights, competed in sports, and participated in events.
Sometimes, following any of these endeavors, a small object would find itself in my possession. A knickknack, a totem, a doodad.
Maybe it was a collection of Mardi Gras beads from my trip to New Orleans. Or a t-shirt tossed by a cheerleader at a sporting event. A toy from a claw machine. A mixtape from a friend. A thank-you note. A cheap piece of junk from a tourist’s gift shop.
Whatever they were didn’t matter — what matters is that they were often a representation of whatever moment in time they came from.
I never threw these things away. I set them on my desk or on my shelves. When those spaces filled up, I bought two small storage containers. They’re filled to the brim and I’m currently filling a third.
Why keep the color-coordinated bandana a stranger gave me in the park during Pokemon Go’s heyday? Why hold onto the Save the Date from my high school friend who ended up getting divorced not two years later? What significance or use could I possibly have for those goofy White Elephant gifts my kickball team gave at the yearly Christmas party?
No purpose, no reason and there is none, respectively.
And yet I don’t want to let them go. You see, they are reminders of times and experiences — Keepsakes. Mementos. Souvenirs. In some ways, they’re a physical collection and documentation of my life.
It reminds me a little bit of this weird quirk I have when I play video games.
--
I likely dumped more than 500 hours across all my Skyrim save files. There was no other game, there needn’t be any other game and there still hasn’t been any other game since.
In my adulthood, I returned to one of its many definitive editions for one last victory lap. With my experience, memory and fully-formed adult brain, I approached the game methodologically, in an optimal order, carefully. I built my ideal character and crafted only what was needed — down to the last iron ingot. I explored, I experienced — I did every major and minor quest, making it my perfect playthrough.
One thing I love about Skyrim is the loot. Yes, there’s 20 million iron daggers and boring, inventory-cluttering useless items… but then there’s the special ones.
There’s the unique weapons at the end of each Daedric quest. The trinkets from the Thieves Guild. Spellbooks, statuettes and storybooks. The eerily-delivered note for the assassin’s questline. The robes of the king, the rings and necklaces of Jarls.
You know them — the items with one-of-a-kind names and designs that are specific to each of their quests.
You see, these items carry a story with them. How you stole for them or killed for them. Traveled, battled, talked, stealthed, lied, solved your way into their possession. They’re the game’s biggest treat.
That’s why, at the culmination of my final ever Skyrim playthrough, I bought a house in Whiterun and filled it with these objects.
Weapons and armors on the walls and on the racks, items and books placed carefully on shelves - but not just any weapons, armors, objects and books. Only the special ones. It was a house that told the story of all of my adventures.
I sat down in a chair next to Aela the Huntress in my castle, my throne room. I saved my game one final time.
--
For all of gaming’s swashbuckling adventures, magnificent worlds and large stretches of land to traverse, they don’t always give us too much to remember them by, do they?
I appreciate Skyrim so much for understanding the nature of the epic they were creating. The ability to fill your house with display cases, armor mannequins and weapon racks demonstrates the developer’s awareness of their playerbase and the scale of the adventures they were sending them on.
These are adventures to cherish, to tell tales of, to be remembered.
Will anyone else give me what Skyrim did?

The answer’s yes, actually.
It’s a fascinating yes, too — because not every keepsake system is cut from the same cloth. Games offer unique takes on the mechanic that energize it, give it new life and perspective and add layers of meaning to it in fresh ways.
And I’ve got plenty of examples.
--
In The Outer Worlds, special items you collected while out adventuring would be placed in specific locations throughout your ship, The Unreliable, upon return. These included things like:
• Posters • Signs • Various ISO items • Tossballs & Tossball cards • Golden bird statuettes • Many, many more
Sometimes these were stored by the game in your captain’s quarters, but other times, they’d appear in your squad’s quarters instead.
No matter where they got stored, these items were more than just junk. They were signature weapons of terrible villains whom you defeated, they were outlandish garb from flamboyant characters who painstakingly passed away to protect your life, they were motifs of resource-gouging corporations whom you shutdown for the good of cities and planets.
They were special, they were keepsakes. Their addition made The Unreliable feel alive and lived in, part of your own, unique journey, filled with the stories and tales of your adventure and — importantly and specifically to The Outer Worlds — your choices.

The second and third installments of the Mass Effect series contained model ships you could buy from vendors that would then go on display on desks or on racks in your spaceship, The Normandy.
These are a little different because you buy them, rather than slice somebody’s head off for them, but they still count.
What makes them still count here is twofold:
• Some model ships only become available after completing certain missions that actually involve the ship you’re buying a model of, so they still serve as a reminder and memento of specific accomplishments in this way • If you transferred your save data through the games, models you collected in ME2 would appear automatically on The Normandy in ME3. Being able to carry souvenirs into a sequel is exceptional, and a feat I’ve not found any other game to match.
Mass Effect: Andromeda saw a return of this feature, too. You ended up re-gathering old ships of yore in this installment, however. Andromeda also featured a more traditional collectible-style search; these model ships were looted from various locations in the world.
The original trilogy used the model ships as landmarks for its major moments, to be remembered across the series, while Andromeda paid homage to the previous games and encouraged its players to explore its world more thoroughly.

In Assassin’s Creed: Valhalla, building up your burgeoning young settlement of Ravensthorpe is a central gameplay mechanic — as you acquire more resources to build with, the size of the village grows both in length, width and inhabitants.
The game includes optional side quests that change those who wander your evolving home and hub in medieval England. They include:
• Capturing a stray cat • Saving a fox from a burning home • Befriending a fallen hunter’s wolf pet
In each instance, the living being will join your settlement — the cat will stay underneath Eivor’s seat in your longship, the fox will wander Ravensthorpe and the wolf will welcome you in your personal quarters, howling at your arrival.
You can interact and pet them whenever you like, playing a short animation displaying the affection between the two.
These three “collectibles” don’t feel like trinkets, but living, breathing additions to your home that give it joy and life, as well as keep you young.

Speaking of Norse culture, central to Biomutant is a form of Yggdrasil — the WorldTree.
Central to Biomutant’s story is saving the old, decaying and currently-being-eaten-by-giant-monsters WorldTree. And there are two impressive quests in the game that reflect back to the player their efforts in saving it.
One quest saves the tree from festering toxins below its roots — and the tree’s colors change from green to fluorescent white as a result.
Another quest by the name of Aurora has you activate monoliths around the map that direct energy to the WorldTree. The quest climaxes by having the tree give off a swirling, sparkling aura that hangs perpetually while you travel the world and complete more objectives.
It even matches your affinity — if you’re taking the side of love and justice, the aura is white, while if you play for the destruction of the planet, the aura will hang black.
What’s special about these to me is that they don’t do anything. They don’t get you any closer to saving the world or the tree, but they definitely did something important –
The WorldTree’s central location in the map and absolutely massive scale allow for it to be seen at all times from just about anywhere in Biomutant’s world. This means, after I had completed these two quests, the fruits of my labor were on gloriously beautiful display at all times.
Biomutant’s mementos aren’t keepsakes you can’t take with you when you leave the planet — they’re visual celebrations of your hard work, an ever-present reminder of your endeavors and care for a dying world.

More briefly, Cyberpunk 2077 allowed you to fill V’s apartment with keepsakes as well, featuring dream catchers, posters, paintings, action figures and more.
In Star Wars: X-Wing Alliance Ace Azzameen’s personal quarters would fill up with medals and displays as you progressed through the game.
In The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom, some of the most legendary Zelda equipment ever was available to the player, including the Sword of Six Sages, the Fierce Deity Sword, and the Biggorons Sword — all of which can be hung in display cases in Link’s home.
Meanwhile, Uncharted 4 greets players near its opening sequence with an attic filled with memorabilia and keepsakes that Nathan Drake himself has kept after all these years. It’s not us — the players — ourselves collecting and hoarding, but it was lovely to see Drake thinking along the same lines as us souvenir psychopaths.

I’ll end with gaming’s classic — Mario. The red-hatted Italian also did the keepsake thing in one of his most beloved installments.
Super Mario: Odyssey allowed you to decorate The Odyssey with stickers and trinkets from your escapades by spending purple coins you could collect while out adventuring on one of the game’s many worlds.
A vanilla Odyssey player’s ship might look the same as it did at the game’s start, but a completionist might have a slew of trinkets and décor, like:
• Peach’s Model Castle • Dinosaur models and trophies • Shiverian Nesting Dolls • A plush frog • Flowers and a watering can from Steam Gardens • Statues of Pauline, Jaxi, Jizo • A lamp and rock fragment of the moon
Hell, the game director himself sounds like he’s read this very article:
“But what about decorating the ship? There’s a shop that appears in many kingdoms where you can buy souvenirs and stickers using the purple coins you’ve gathered.
Collecting memories is one of the best parts of traveling, don’t you think?” –Kenta Motokura
The ability to make The Odyssey your own evolved the traditional fetch-quest nature of collectible gathering and drove the player to go that little bit of extra distance in exploring and engaging with the various kingdoms and mastering the game’s platforming.

Video game narratives and their accompanying worlds are monstrously large nowadays. As enjoyers of the medium, us gamers spend a lot of time in them.
Like, a lot.
In recognition of this, game developers have given gamers a number of distinct tools to document their triumphs and sagas — each with their own unique flavor of congratulations and commemoration.
For our enormous investment with huge worlds and long, winding quests, something tangible we can keep hold of provides value, meaning, memories. They make our journey — one which we have committed so much to — special, transcendent, our own.
They give us things no other entertainment medium can give.
So fuck photo mode. A picture isn’t worth a thousand words — my keepsakes are.
(A special thanks to the members of patientgamers for their contributions to this post that helped inform this essay with games I have and have not played.)

Upstaged by Marlon Brando
I thought I had the talent to be an actor. A mercurial classmate gave me second thoughts.
By Alan ShayneMay 20, 2023 Marlon Brando photographed sitting on a chair and holding a book in 1946. Photograph by Cecil Beaton I was eighteen, living in New York, and trying desperately to get work as an actor. It was 1943. I had been drafted, and the plan was to do my time, then study with the help of the G.I. Bill. I’d spent a summer doing Shakespeare but had just been fired from a production where I played a gross, blustering football star. I was a polite boy from Brookline, Massachusetts, and I just couldn’t work myself into the character: smacking men on the back, smearing a chocolate bar on my camel-hair coat. I realized that I had to learn the technique of acting. Everything I’d done so far was instinctive.
The day came for my physical. I went through the routine like an automaton, distancing myself from the hundreds of young men who stood self-consciously in their underwear. One of the doctors took a long time examining my ears. “Perforated eardrums,” he said.
I was free. I got a scholarship at the New School for Social Research, which had a prestigious drama workshop. On my first day, the registrar gave me my schedule: Theory of the Theatre, Acting, March of the Drama, Movement, and Makeup. I signed papers all morning, and then she took me to my group, which was already in session. Ten students were seated at small tables in front of standing mirrors, applying cosmetics to their faces. They stopped and stared as I walked in.
“Alan is joining your class, and I hope you’ll make him feel at home,” the registrar said.
Several boys got up to shake my hand; the girls said hello. One extremely handsome boy, who had drawn a line from the center of his forehead down to his chin, and who had made up half his face in garish war paint, walked over to me. I put out my hand, but he glared and walked out the door. Everyone giggled, and the registrar said, “Don’t mind him. That’s just Marlon trying to get attention.”
One of the boys lent me some makeup, and I sat applying it, looking in the mirror. I wondered if I’d made a mistake. After all, I had experience in a touring company, in summer stock. I’d put on makeup dozens of times. No, I thought, I’ve got to study—that crazy boy with the war paint had just brought me down.
Stella Adler, the most important acting teacher in the country, was coming to lead a class. I was terribly excited. She had been with the Group Theatre, the pioneering New York drama collective, and had actually studied with Konstantin Stanislavski, the originator of Method acting. I had been reading his book “My Life in Art” as if it were the Bible, but I still couldn’t make sense of the Method and how to do it. I was sure Stella Adler would teach me.
She was a half hour late, but no one seemed surprised. Everyone had been talking, sprawled on folding chairs or perched on a raised platform that took up one side of the room. Suddenly, it was quiet. The students shifted their positions and looked toward the double doors, like animals sensing an approach.
There was a waft of expensive perfume, and Miss Adler appeared. Hands rushed to take her umbrella, her bag, her fur coat. “Darlings,” she said, kissing and hugging the students closest to her. They guided her into an armchair, and she reached above her head. “What do you think of my chapeau?” she asked. It was a frothy black cap from which feathers danced whenever she moved. A girl said unctuously, “It’s beautiful, Miss Adler.” She was ignored as Miss Adler shed a suit jacket that revealed a filmy satin blouse. She looked at me. “You must be the new boy,” she said. I felt her eyes peel back the layers of my clothes. “Yes, Miss Adler,” I said. She reached out her hand, and I stumbled over to take it. “I hope you’re very talented,” she said. I stood awkwardly as she looked me over. “Sit down, darling,” she said, and I staggered back to my seat.
For half an hour, she discussed her clothes with the class. “Do you really think this suit is more becoming than the one I wore last week?” Then she listened to everyone’s comments about whether she was better in green or in blue. Finally, she said, as if we had delayed her, “Let’s get to work. Marlon, you lazy boy, get in that chair.”
Marlon hadn’t turned up in any of my other classes, but I had seen him sitting in the hall, playing bongo drums, surrounded by a coterie of admirers. He made a point of not looking at me. One of the students told me that his last name was Brando. The rumor was that he was being kept by a rich, older man and that he had a girlfriend named Blossom Plum.
The class watched as Marlon slumped across the room and fell into a folding chair. He looked as though he had crossed the desert without water. “Now, Marlon, peel an apple,” Miss Adler said. Marlon pantomimed the knife slipping under the skin, then began to peel. He did it so convincingly that it seemed to be in one long piece that kissed the floor. “Now, Marlon, I’m going to say some words to you, and I want you to react accordingly,” Miss Adler said. “Cold . . . hot . . . hungry . . . tired . . . depressed.” I couldn’t believe my eyes. Marlon continued to peel the apple, but each time he heard a word he seemed to change. The metamorphosis was nearly imperceptible, but he actually became cold or hot or hungry. I thought, My God, I’ll never be able to do that. The class applauded. Marlon slumped back to his chair.
“Our time is up,” Miss Adler sighed. “Now listen. I believe that every actor should be able to do something in addition to acting—like singing or dancing or telling a story. So next time, I want you all to come in with a story, or a poem, or whatever, and perform it as if you were in a cabaret. Is that clear?” There were murmurs of agreement, and then a shuffle of chairs as actors rushed to help Miss Adler with her coat. I sat for a moment in my seat. I knew what I would do: my rendition of “The Devil and Daniel Webster,” the short story by Stephen Vincent Benét, for which I’d won a speaking prize my senior year in high school. I’d show them Marlon wasn’t the only talented one.
The next class with Miss Adler had the palpable charge of opening night. No one would tell anyone what they were going to do. It was all a surprise.
After a show of hands, Miss Adler chose a lanky, blond girl to go first. I had learned her name was Elaine Stritch and that her uncle was high up in the Catholic church, in Chicago. She was wearing a trainman’s overalls and her hair was pulled back. She sat on the floor and strummed her guitar, singing in a haunting, simple voice: “I wonder as I wander out under the sky, how Jesus the Saviour did come for to die.” The class didn’t wait to gauge Miss Adler’s response. Everyone applauded loudly.
I waved my hand in front of Miss Adler’s face. “The new boy seems very eager,” she said. “All right darling, you go next.”
I stepped up onto the platform and was relieved to see that Marlon had left the room. I felt as if I were performing in front of the Queen and her courtiers. It had been two years since I had won the speaking prize, but I remembered every word of the Benét story. I was nervous in the beginning, but I felt a new authority as I acted out several different parts, all with different accents and personalities. I told the story of the Devil’s battle with Daniel Webster to possess a man’s soul. I grew more and more impassioned. I felt transported to the New England farm where the story took place, and I became very moved when Webster finally won at the end. I had hardly finished when Miss Adler’s voice trumpeted, “Excellent!” and the class applauded. I went to my seat feeling a camaraderie with the others for the first time.
As soon as I sat down, Miss Adler gestured in my direction. “Now, let’s not be confused that what he did was acting,” she said. “He told a story and put on voices for the different characters. That’s all right for cabaret, which was the assignment, but we mustn’t mix it up with real acting.” Everyone agreed. I didn’t see why it was necessary to diminish my performance in that way.
There was a sudden flurry of activity. The curtains on the platform were drawn and the lights went out. I could make out one of the actors dropping the arm on a record. As the music began, the actor rushed over and pulled the curtains. Standing in the center of the stage, in a pool of light, was a gorgeous woman in a velvet evening dress and long white gloves. The class gasped—it was Marlon in a blond wig. As Judy Garland began to sing—“Zing! Went the strings of my heart”—Marlon began to lip-synch. I realized the record was on at twice the speed so that the sound was comic, as if Marlon had Betty Boop’s voice. The class went to pieces. The students screamed and applauded; several of them slid off their chairs and rocked with laughter on the floor. Through it all, Marlon played it straight. Miss Adler collapsed in her chair. “The Devil and Daniel Webster” had been completely forgotten.
The cabaret incident was the last time I saw Stella Adler. She won a role in a play called “Pretty Little Parlor,” and coaxed her brother Luther into taking over the class. He had also been in the Group Theatre and was a renowned actor, having appeared many times on Broadway. He was in his forties, stocky and short, though he wore lifts in his shoes. He was all business but very warm and helpful. I was finally going to learn the Method that was beginning to be the basis of all good acting.
On his first day, Mr. Adler gave us an exercise in improvisation: we were all to be chickens in a barnyard. We would hear on the radio that war was declared, and we had to react as chickens—to decide whether we were married, leaving our chicken families to go off to war, or whether we were single and awaiting the draft. I looked around. Students started clucking as they moved on their knees toward each other. Some of the girls grabbed boys and acted as if they were their husbands. I had always been uncomfortable with improvisation, so I decided that I was a loner who didn’t like the other chickens. I sat and sulked and managed to get through the ordeal.
Around that time, auditions began for the big student play of the year: Shakespeare’s “Twelfth Night.” This was very exciting. I’d acted in “Much Ado About Nothing” in Boston, learning the rudiments of doing Shakespeare, and I’d got my scholarship by reciting one of his soliloquies. I went to the audition feeling confident, but discovered that all the boys were trying out for Duke Orsino, the part that I wanted. Everyone had to read for the director, Erwin Piscator, who was also the head of the workshop. He was a slight man, around fifty, beautifully dressed and with meticulously combed silver hair. He had been famous in Germany for doing epic theatre, a movement that stressed the political content of drama. He had escaped the Nazis and now sat hunched at the front of the auditorium.
I was startled to see Marlon, who hadn’t been around much. I’d heard that he’d been raving about “Good Night, Sweet Prince,” a biography of John Barrymore, the renowned Shakespearean actor, that had just been published. He was laughing at rumors that Barrymore, a known alcoholic, had peed on the floor of his dressing room when people came to praise a performance. I thought it was sad that a great actor resorted to such low tricks for attention, but I wasn’t surprised that Marlon was taken in by them. As usual, he looked right through me as we waited in the wings. I couldn’t understand why I annoyed him, but I put it out of my head. I could hear the boys who went before me, and none of them seemed exciting. Marlon was the worst. He mumbled his way through, making no sense of the words or the iambic pentameter. When my turn arrived, I forgot about the others, succumbing to the thrill of being onstage, the pleasure of reading such beautiful lines. Piscator thanked each of us. A few days later, a cast list was posted. I was Duke Orsino.
On the first day of rehearsal, we were all a little nervous. Piscator had directed the greats of Europe, and we were just kids trying to find our way. He settled in the front row and looked up. “Alright, begin,” he said. I started to speak the opening lines, and Piscator jumped out of his seat. “No, no, no,” he shouted. “You Americans are so afraid of the poetry.” He came onstage and walked over to me. “You have one of the most beautiful speeches in Shakespeare,” he said. “It must be like a rhapsody. Your voice should sound like a cello. Now begin again.”
After weeks of rehearsal, we were ready. There were two opening shows: one in the afternoon, for the school, friends, and agents, and an official première in the evening. Around noon, I began putting on makeup backstage. My costume was stunning: a red doublet with a diamond pattern, red tights, a navy-blue blouse with puffed sleeves, and a silver cape. I was just finishing combing my hair when Piscator walked into the dressing room. “Good afternoon, Mr. Piscator,” everyone said. “Good afternoon,” he replied. “I just came to say merde.” The French word for “shit’” was traditional in the theatre for wishing someone luck. It made us feel very professional.
Piscator walked over and stood beside my chair. “There’s been a bit of a problem,” he said, “but I think we’ve solved it very well.” I asked him what it was. “You see,” he said, “Stuart’s mother is very ill, so he had to go to Washington last night, and he can’t get back in time for the performance. He’ll be here tonight, but we had to get someone to take his part this afternoon. Of course, it’s only eight lines, so it’s not that difficult.” I blanched. Stuart’s part was the priest—the hardest moment in the play for me. It was the scene when the Duke finds out that the woman he loves has apparently just married his manservant, who seems to be in love with the Duke. All hell breaks loose, and the priest is summoned to confirm the ceremony.
“Who’s going to play it?” I asked. The director beamed. “Marlon has been good enough to help us out,” he said. “It’s very nice of him.”
Of all the actors, I thought. “Can we rehearse before the curtain?”
“There’s no time, unfortunately,” he said. “He’s in the costume department now, but he knows his spot onstage. I’m sure he’ll be fine.”
I went onstage, sat on my throne, and listened to the first swells of music. When the curtain rose, I filled my voice with an exhausted yearning. “If music be the food of love, play on . . . .” I nailed the opening scene, striking just the right balance between honest emotion and the beauty of the poetry. As I made my exit—“Away before me to sweet beds of flowers: love-thoughts lie rich when canopied with bowers”—there was a tremendous sound of applause.
The rest of the play went splendidly. Near the end, when I discovered that Olivia, my love interest, had married Cesario, my servant, the priest was sent for. I was deep in character, acting out the conflict between my desire to kill Cesario and my suspicion that he was in love with me, when I heard the audience start to laugh. I turned to see the priest. There was Marlon in a pair of tights, into which he had stuffed a small drum that made him look pregnant. He beat out a rhythm as he mumbled lines that no one could hear. The audience went wild. They laughed. They cheered. They egged him on until he performed a frenzied drum solo. The other actors onstage laughed, too, but I was livid. It was as if the play were totally forgotten. When Marlon finally finished, he left the stage to an ovation, and I had to wait until everyone quieted down. As I spoke, the audience started to laugh again.

Somehow, we finished the play. I walked to the dressing room in a fury. I thought of my past year in New York: never having enough food; losing a tooth because I couldn’t afford a dentist; being self-conscious about my smile; never being warm enough in my thin coat; and waiting on tables for people who seldom even gave me a tip. All to be in the theatre that I loved. But this wasn’t the theatre that I had read and dreamed about. When I entered the dressing room, Marlon was sprawled on a chair with cold cream all over his face.
“How dare you,” I said. “How dare you ruin this play!”
Marlon said nothing. “Aren’t you even going to say you’re sorry?” I asked. Marlon looked away. My frustration was building. “I’ll do everything in my power to keep you off Broadway,” I said. I went to my dressing table and sank into my chair. Piscator whooshed in. “Wonderful, wonderful,” he said. I got up and walked over to him. “Are you going to say anything to Marlon?” I asked.
“My dear, it was wrong, but it was just high spirits,” the director said. “Tonight is the most important performance, and Stuart will be here for it.” I looked at him. He no longer seemed like a great international director. “If you don’t reprimand him for his unprofessional behavior,” I said, “I’m going to leave the school.” Piscator raised his hand in a deprecating gesture, then left the room.
I did the evening performance and never went back again. Marlon Brando was on Broadway within a few months. ♦

2024.05.20 11:14 janek500 [Brag Post] My collection of Cyberpunk stuff

"Mindless consumerism wins the day again."

(Pics inside)
As I like to brag about things I buy, here's my collection od Cyberpunk-branded stuff, excluding digital goods.
I don't like dust collectors, so my collection lacks figurines or keychains. I prefer physical media that I can enjoy by flipping pages and watching pictures. Collection is still incomplete, my ambitions won't let me rest until I waste all my money for more stuff with "Cyberpunk 2077" logo on it.
Night City Radio Deluxe Vinyl Set
To start with the most recent hunt: Radio Deluxe Vinyl Set includes two bright yellow-colored records and 12-inch felt turntable slipmat with radiostations logos (too big for my turntable) and extra packaging. Tracklist includes "No Save Point", "Night City", "PonPon Shit", "Delicate Weapon", "I Really Want To Stay At Your House", "Hole In The Sun" and others. The only flaw is lack of "Makes Me Feel Better" in the songs selection.
Edgerunners Vinyl Soundtrack and Phantom Liberty Vinyl OST
Yellow vinyl strikes again in more vibrant, lemonish version. There's an Edgerunners logo with sandevistan visual effect from the show printed on the both labels. Package includes two-sided sleeve with David Martinez and Lucy, OBI-like strip, cardboard insert with Lucy art and credits. Track listing includes "This Fffire" by Franz Ferdinand, which is opening theme from the show, Akira Yamaoka compositions and selections of songs from the anime and the game by Marcin Przybyłowicz and P.T. Adamczyk, like "Cloudy Day". The songlist is crowned with "Let Me Down" by Dawid Podsiadło.
Phantom Liberty OST has very similar packaging - Vinyl and cardboard insert with Songbird art, tracklist, credits and note from composers P.T. Adamczyk and Jacek Paciorkowski. I find this one more appealing visually, probably because of elegance of black and red mix and classic black vinyl, compared to Edgerunners' edgy yellow. The record's opening "I'm a Netrunner" gives the chills, there's no better track to start audio from Phantom Liberty. It also features "Hardest to Be" and Idris Elba "Choke Hold". Again, the final track of the compilation is Dawid Podsiadło's song titled "Phantom Liberty". Only thing I'd like this release to have is "Phantom Liberty" lyrics printed on the insert.
Cyberpunk 2077 3LP Soundtrack box set
This one is special, it's a 100-pieces limited copy signed by Marcin Przybyłowicz and P.T. Adamczyk. It includes a selection of OST tracks, with "V theme", "Rebel Path", "The Streets Are Long-Ass Guts", "Wushu Dolls", "Scavenger Hunt", "Patridiots", "Been Good To Know Ya", "Never Fade Away feat. Olga Jankowska". Also, it features Samurai EP in badass gatefold package, with brief info about Refused band.
vinyl collection in whole
In regard of music, the only thing I'm missing is Kerry Eurodyne's guitar, because the gonk who initially wanted to sell it to me changed his mind and now is straight up lying that someone stole it from his apartament. Also, original Johnny Silverhand's Deluze Orphean signed by famous actor Keanu Reeves was sold at charity auction in 2023 for ~7700 usd.
When it comes to other media, I mostly own paper - comicbooks and artbooks.
(comic)books
My cellulose set includes (left to right, top to bottom):
And that would be it. My next objectives are upcoming comicbooks and maybe collector's edition. Steelbooks would be nice addition too.

https://preview.redd.it/1mpw9rdisj1d1.jpg?width=720&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=cdc7e8827faf5ca08afd43a536e8af11999496e1
The C62 Record Player with Speakers has been an absolute game-changer in my vinyl listening experience. For someone who appreciates high-quality sound, the C62 doesn't disappoint. The record player effectively combines a vintage aesthetic with modern features, making it an attractive addition to any room. The built-in speakers provide crystal-clear audio, giving a new life to my old vinyl records.
One of the most satisfying parts of using the C62 is how easy it is to set up. Even if you're a newbie in the world of vinyl, the clear instructions make it a breeze to get started. Moreover, its minimalistic design, with just a couple of knobs to control, ensures that operating the record player is a breeze.
The versatility of the C62 is another major plus. Not only does it play vinyl records, but it also connects to Bluetooth devices, allowing you to stream your favorite digital playlists. This feature makes the C62 an excellent choice for any music lover, whether you're a seasoned vinyl enthusiast or just beginning your vinyl collection.
In terms of build quality, the C62 feels sturdy and well-built. Its heavy steel platter and three vibration control feet make it resistant to any unwanted vibrations, ensuring a smooth and high-quality sound experience. This might not be the most portable record player out there, but for those who prioritize performance over portability, the C62 delivers.
However, one minor downside could be the size. Although its compact size makes it an excellent choice for small spaces, the C62 might not be the best option for those with a vast vinyl collection, as storing your records could be a bit challenging.
In summary, the C62 Record Player with Speakers is a fantastic investment for any music lover who appreciates high-quality sound and a mix of vintage aesthetics with contemporary features. Its ease of use, exceptional sound quality, and versatility make it an attractive option, despite its size. If you're ready to dive into the world of vinyl, the C62 is definitely worth considering.

🔗3-in-1 Jensen Turntable CD Radio, Cassette and AM/FM Stereo Speakers

https://preview.redd.it/29h0cw1jsj1d1.jpg?width=720&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=322cac97127b49ad8ce22207f6f95faf3fb87e1d
I recently got the Jensen 3-speed turntable CD radio, cassette, and AM/FM set and I can't express how happy I am with my purchase. I remember using my dad's old turntable and the nostalgia it brings back is just priceless. This one is a modern twist to the classic turntable - it plays not only vinyl records but also CDs and cassettes. Plus, it has an AM/FM tuner so I can listen to my favorite radio stations.
What I love about this product is that it is versatile. The turntable allows me to play 3-speed records, which gives me a variety of options. The CD player accepts both regular and rewriteable discs, while the cassette deck, although it looks a bit fragile, still works perfectly fine. This device also comes with features such as repeat of songs and tracks, skip/search forward and backward and random play.
The blue back-lit LCD display and programmable memory adds a nice touch to the whole setup. It's super user-friendly; even my grandma could figure it out! And let's not forget about the stereo headphone jack, perfect for those late-night listening sessions without disturbing anyone.
However, one downside I noticed is that the build quality isn't top-notch. It feels a bit plasticky and might not hold up over time. Another thing is that the speakers lack bass. But hey, considering how affordable this product is, these are minor quibbles.
In conclusion, if you're looking for a nostalgic music player that combines old school charm with modern convenience, the Jensen 3-speed turntable CD radio, cassette, and AM/FM set is definitely worth checking out. Just remember to handle it with care due to its somewhat delicate build.

🔗Modern Vinyl Record Player Stand with Bluetooth

https://preview.redd.it/2cwcvp3ksj1d1.jpg?width=720&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=63086a99a802cc861f3473c204dd54ed3159055a
First of all, let me tell you about my experience with this Victrola Liberty Bluetooth Record Player. The moment I set my eyes on it, I was thrilled. Its retro design, available in on-trend colors, instantly captured my fascination. The built-in features like the CD player, FM radio, and USB player made it a versatile piece of entertainment. Plus, the ability to record from vinyl directly to USB without using a computer was intriguing.
The unit stands tall with four long legs and four short rubber feet. This unique design not only adds to its charm but also provides two different decorative options. The dimensions are just right - measuring 17.10 x 15.70 x 11-in and weighing 14.68 lbs. It's easy to move around and fits perfectly into any space.
While the sound quality is commendable, filling the room with a rich, full tone, the construction could use some improvement. The turntable feels a bit flimsy, especially the auto-stop button that sometimes fails to work. Also, there's a little wobbling when a record is on, but not enough to cause any skipping.
In terms of usability, setting up this record player is a breeze. Even someone who's new to vinyl could get it up and running in no time. The included instructions are concise and clear.
However, I did encounter a few issues with the build. First, it seems like there hasn't been much care about handling during shipping. The packaging was good, but it's not enough to prevent some minor damages. Second, I wish the legs could be secured better to ensure they don't pop out from under the record player.
Overall, despite its drawbacks, I believe the Victrola Liberty Bluetooth Record Player does offer a blend of vintage charm and modern convenience. It performs well, especially for its price point, and it's a nice addition to any room's décor. If you're looking for a stylish and functional record player that won't break the bank, I'd recommend giving this one a try.

Victrola Journey+ Signature Bluetooth Record Player Cream is a classic-meets-modern record player that's not only easy on the eyes but also on the ears. I recently found myself delving into my old vinyl collection after dusting off this nifty little device.
Firstly, the sound quality is amazing. Whether it's an old classic or a modern tune, the three-speed record player delivers sharp, clear audio every time. However, I must admit, the built-in speakers may lack the bass some might crave for, especially when playing groovy tunes from the 70s or 80s.
The Bluetooth connectivity was a game-changer for me. It allowed me to stream my favorite tunes from my phone through the record player, giving me the best of both worlds - the charm of vinyl and the convenience of digital music. The headphone jack was also a nice touch, perfect for those intimate listening moments.
In terms of usability, this record player is as simple as it gets. The controls are straightforward, and setting it up was a breeze. Plus, the suitcase-styled design makes it incredibly portable. I ended up carrying it to a few parties, and it was a hit among the guests.
The build quality is top-notch. The grey color adds a modern twist to the classic design, making it a stylish addition to any room. The unit is sturdy and well-built, indicating that it will last a long time.
In summary, the Victrola Journey+ Signature Bluetooth Record Player Cream is an excellent choice for anyone looking to revive their vinyl collection with some modern flair. It's easy to use, portable, and delivers great sound quality. Highly recommended!

As a vinyl enthusiast, I was excited to try out the Innovative Technology 3-in-1 Avery Bluetooth Record Player. The product's attractive design instantly caught my eye, and the built-in Bluetooth connectivity was a nice added bonus.
One of the standout features of this record player is its three-speed turntable, allowing me to play all of my favorite vinyl records at varying speeds. The built-in speakers provide decent sound quality, which made listening to my vinyl collection an enjoyable experience.
However, one issue I encountered was the lack of a Bluetooth output connection, making it difficult for me to connect the player to my existing sound system. Additionally, the built-in speakers do not offer the best bass response, but this can be easily remedied by connecting external speakers.
Overall, the Innovative Technology 3-in-1 Avery Bluetooth Record Player is a great addition to any vinyl lover's collection, offering a solid blend of style and functionality. While there are a few minor drawbacks, such as the lack of a Bluetooth output connection and the need for external speakers, these issues do not detract from the overall enjoyment of using this record player.
I would highly recommend this product to anyone looking to dive into the world of vinyl or for those who want to enjoy their old vinyl collection with a touch of modern convenience.

🔗Audio Technica Fully Automatic Vinyl Record Turntable

Discover the joy of vinyl with the Audio Technica AT-LP60X-GM automatic turntable. I've been using this product for a while now and it's been a game-changer. The fully automatic belt-drive operation with two speeds, 33-1/3 and 45 RPM, ensures smooth playback of your favorite vinyl records.
One of the standout features of this turntable is its anti-resonance, die-cast aluminum platter. This not only adds to the aesthetics but also significantly reduces vibrations and noise during playback, enhancing the overall listening experience. The redesigned tonearm base and headshell have also made a noticeable difference in improved tracking and reduced resonance.
The integral Dual Magnet phono cartridge with a replaceable diamond stylus (ATN3600L) provides rich audio quality, promising hours of listening pleasure. The AC adapter manages AC/DC conversion outside of the chassis, effectively reducing noise in the signal chain.
What I particularly love about this turntable is its portability and compact design. It's easy to move around and fits seamlessly into any room setting. However, the hinged detachable dust cover could be a bit sturdier to better protect my vinyl records.
In terms of performance, this turntable performs exceptionally well, especially given its attractive price point. While it may not impress the audiophiles, it's a perfect introductory turntable for vinyl enthusiasts or anyone looking to explore the world of vinyl.
So, if you're in search of a reliable, easy-to-use turntable that won't break the bank, I highly recommend the Audio Technica AT-LP60X-GM automatic turntable. You won't be disappointed!

🔗Victrola Retro 3-Speed Record Player

I recently got my hands on the Victrola 3-in-1 Bluetooth Record Player with Built-in Speakers, and it's been quite a nostalgic journey for me. This record player is a perfect blend of old-school charm and modern convenience. The three-speed turntable (33 1/3, 45, 78 RPM) plays all my favorite vinyls, transporting me back to the days when music was a tangible experience.
One feature that really stands out is the ability to record your favorite music directly to a USB, no computer needed. It's like having a personalized mixtape from the past. Plus, its Bluetooth compatibility lets me stream music wirelessly from my smart device, making it versatile for both old and new tunes.
However, there are some downsides too. The build quality feels a bit flimsy, and the tone arm can be quite slow to lower, which might annoy some users. Additionally, the sound quality isn't top-notch compared to higher-end models, but considering the price point, it's quite reasonable.
In conclusion, if you're looking for a budget-friendly record player with a touch of vintage charm, the Victrola 3-in-1 Bluetooth Record Player might be worth considering. But if you demand impeccable sound and robust build quality, you might want to explore other options.

🔗Crosley Cruiser Plus Bluetooth Suitcase Turntable in Tourmaline

https://preview.redd.it/mpsiwytlsj1d1.jpg?width=720&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=06afd439e958d9f8e6f49289347ca1cce768602d
Once a vinyl enthusiast, always a vinyl enthusiast. That's my motto ever since I got my hands on the Crosley Cruiser Plus Turntable - Tourmaline. It just blends old school music with modern technology seamlessly. When I first unboxed it, I was instantly charmed by its charming suitcase-style shell. It gave off a vintage vibe that I absolutely loved. Plus, the built-in Bluetooth receiver and stereo speakers took the convenience factor up a notch.
Navigating through the Turntable is a breeze. The adjustable pitch control and 3-speed feature (33 1/3, 45 & 78 RPM) gave me the flexibility to play any vinyl record I wanted. And don't even get me started on the Bluetooth in/out capability. It was like having a digital music player and a vinyl record player all wrapped into one device.
One day, I had the brilliant idea of connecting my phone to the turntable and playing some of my favorite vinyl-to-digital remastered tracks. The sound quality was phenomenal, a perfect blend of digital clarity and analog warmth. Now, if only it didn't skip randomly sometimes. . .
Despite the occasional skip, the Crosley Cruiser Plus Turntable has been a reliable and enjoyable companion on my vinyl adventure. It's portable, easy to use, and best of all, it beautifully blends the charm of old school vinyl with the convenience of modern technology.

🔗Boytone 7-in-1 Bluetooth Vinyl Turntable System

I recently got my hands on the Boytone Bt-24djm Turntable with Bluetooth Connection, and let me tell you, it's been a game-changer in my music listening experience. As a vinyl enthusiast, I often find myself struggling to integrate my old records into my modern music setup. However, this 7-in-1 system has made that a breeze. Not only does it have a 3-speed turntable, but it also includes radio, cassette, and auxiliary options.
One highlight from my experience is the MP3 encoding feature. It has allowed me to convert vinyl, cassette, radio, and aux audio into a digital format, making it super easy to enjoy my old school tunes on my phone or computer. The sound quality is impressive for a system at this price point. The two stereo speakers with bass boost deliver clear, dynamic sound that has breathed new life into my vinyl collection.
However, there are a few cons to consider. The speaker wires are quite short, which made it necessary for me to purchase extensions. Additionally, the lack of tone or equalizer controls is a miss. While the sound quality is good, it would be nice to have more control over the bass, mid-range, and treble.
Overall, I'm very pleased with the Boytone Bt-24djm Turntable with Bluetooth Connection. Its range of features and ease of use make it a great addition to any music lover's collection.

🔗Bluetooth Vinyl Record Player with Built-In Stereo Speakers, 3-Speed Belt-Driven Turntable, AUX, RCA & Headphone Sockets

I recently got my hands on this Bluetooth-enabled vintage vinyl record player and it's been a fantastic addition to my music collection. The first thing that caught my eye was the sleek, retro design that adds a touch of class to any room. But, it's not all about looks. The built-in Bluetooth function makes it incredibly easy to connect and play my favorite digital music from my phone or tablet, while the 3-speed belt-driven turntable lets me enjoy all of my vinyl records at various speeds.
One of the standout features for me is the high-sensitivity stylus, which does an excellent job of accurately reading record information. The audio output is decent for its size, and I appreciate the added flexibility of the 3.5mm Aux-in and RCA output options. However, the built-in speakers could be better, so I sometimes connect it to my external speaker system for a more immersive listening experience.
Some drawbacks I noticed are the relatively low power output, which might not be able to fill a big room with sound, as well as the lack of an adaptive speed feature. Additionally, the build quality feels a bit flimsy and the accompanying instructions could be clearer.
Overall, this Bluetooth record player is a stylish and functional addition to any music lover's collection, offering a nostalgic vinyl listening experience with modern connectivity. It's not perfect, but for its price point, it's definitely worth considering.

🔗Bluetooth Vinyl Turntable with 40W Stereo Speakers

As a music enthusiast, I've had my fair share of turntables, but the Arkrocket Cassini has truly stood out. Upon receiving it, I was blown away by its stunning walnut finish and sleek design. The ease of setup was impressive, making it truly user-friendly. However, what truly captured my attention was the sound quality this turntable delivers.
It uses a moving magnet cartridge system, which offers a stable playback, allowing my vinyls to be enjoyed in all their glory. This turntable also supports Bluetooth, giving me the flexibility to connect with wireless speakers or headphones when I want. The included 40Watt bookshelf speakers are a cherry on top, providing clear and powerful sound.
The only con I noticed was that the turntable is a bit on the heavier side, making it a little less portable than some other options. However, this is a minor inconvenience for the incredible listening experience it provides. Overall, I highly recommend the Arkrocket Cassini for anyone looking to enhance their vinyl listening experience.

I recently got my hands on the Magnavox MD708 Stereo Suitcase Turntable System with Stand and Bluetooth, and believe me, this little beauty has brought back some serious nostalgia. Not only does it look like it's straight out of the 60s, but it performs just as well!
This turntable is quite a workhorse. It plays all my vinyl records with impeccable sound quality, helping me relive those classic tunes from the good old days. The built-in radio and Bluetooth connectivity options are an added advantage, making it versatile enough to handle all my music needs.
However, there are a couple of things that could have been better. While the sound quality is top-notch, I wish the volume could go a little louder. Also, attaching the legs was a bit tricky for me, but nothing that couldn't be managed with patience.
Overall, I'm extremely happy with my purchase. Magnavox has done it again - creating a quality record player that not only looks vintage but also delivers on performance. If you're a vinyl enthusiast, you'll definitely appreciate what this turntable has to offer.

🔗Gemini TT-900WW Vinyl Record Player with Bluetooth and Dual Stereo Speakers

https://preview.redd.it/5m4ehg1osj1d1.jpg?width=720&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=fcfb44889f3b432fa1c1a97575c5c40fb31bd0ff
When I first tried the TT-900WW vinyl record player from Gemini, I was honestly quite blown away. This sleek turntable stereo system is not only easy to set up, but it also has a modern design that complements any decorated room. The turntable itself is made from a sturdy material, while the built-in dual stereo speakers provide clear and warm sound.
The TT-900WW features advanced connectivity options that make it perfect for digital music streaming. I was able to stream my favorite songs from my mobile devices or computer wirelessly via Bluetooth, as well as connect via USB and play 33-1/3 and 45 RPM vinyl records with the included adapter. The fact that this vinyl record player can handle both analog and digital music made it an all-in-one sound system for me.
One of the standout features is the adjustable tone control which lets you customize the sound according to your liking. This helps to create a more immersive listening experience with depth and clarity. Another thing that I really appreciated was the sleek, minimalist design of the turntable. It's compact size makes it perfect for small living rooms, bedrooms or offices.
However, one downside to the TT-900WW is the quality of the build. While the turntable is sturdy, the rest of the unit feels a bit cheaply made, especially the knobs and buttons. Another con is that the speakers, though decent for beginners, may not satisfy audiophiles looking for a high-end sound experience. However, with a price tag under $200, it's a great option for anyone looking to get into vinyl collecting.
Overall, I would definitely recommend the Gemini TT-900WW Vinyl Record Player with Bluetooth and Dual Stereo Speakers White, especially for beginners or those on a budget. The sound quality is good, and the advanced connection options make it perfect for both analog and digital music listening.

🔗Classic Record Player with 5 Records for Kids

When the Fisher-Price Record Player arrived at my doorstep, I couldn't help but feel a flood of nostalgia. I remember playing with this toy as a child, winding up the music box and listening to nursery rhymes on the vinyl records. Fast forward to today, and it's fascinating how the enduring charm of classic toys still holds up.
The first thing that caught my eye was the vibrant colors of the record player. It instantly took me back to my childhood days when toys were a lot simpler yet equally entertaining. The carrying handle is also a nice touch, making it easy to carry around the house or even take it to parties or playdates. Kudos to Fisher-Price for keeping things authentic with this retro-inspired design.
However, not everything was perfect. Upon using the toy, I noticed that the music quality has taken a backseat. The sound is significantly louder and tinny, unlike the soft melodies I remember from my childhood. Additionally, the packaging was quite disappointing, with some parts damaged during shipping.
Overall, the Fisher-Price Record Player is a nostalgic reminder of simpler times. While it may not be perfect in terms of sound quality, its familiar design and handheld convenience make it a fun toy for kids today. It's an enjoyable way to introduce children to the magic of vinyl records and classic nursery rhymes.

🔗Organize your CDs with style - Snap-N-Store CD Storage Box

https://preview.redd.it/qwndx28vci1d1.jpg?width=720&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=1f3f4c8527fe71bac1d1b37cc6612080ef784ea4
I recently tried out the Snap-N-Store CD Storage Box for my music collection, and I must say it exceeded my expectations. The sturdy industrial snaps made it a breeze to assemble and secured it perfectly for long-term use. The card holder was a great addition, as it allowed me to easily label each section with the name of the music artist.
The leather-like PVC laminate exterior gave it a sophisticated, stylish appearance, complementing any room decor. However, one minor drawback was that the boxes slightly overlapped when placed next to each other, creating a stacking issue. Overall, I'm happy with this product and highly recommend it for anyone looking for an organized, attractive solution to managing their CD collection.

🔗Double-Wide CD/DVD Storage Box for Organized Media

https://preview.redd.it/4vgbdpfvci1d1.jpg?width=720&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=31060decac43d1c40d1fe243579bc2ce465ee10d
The Snap-N-Store storage box in the eye-catching Berry color is a fantastic addition to any home or office for organizing your music and movies. I love how sturdy it is - the reinforced corners and heavy-duty panels with industrial-sized snaps really hold everything in place. It's such a simple yet effective solution for keeping CDs and DVDs neat and tidy.
The box can hold up to 60 full jewel cases, 120 slim cases, or 330 CDs/DVDs in sleeves. The chrome card holder on the front is a nice touch for easy labeling. And, with 50% post-consumer recycled content, there's a positive environmental impact to boot.
However, one thing that bugged me was that the center divider is slightly slanted or crooked, making it difficult to hold two rows of CDs properly. Despite this minor flaw, the pros definitely outweigh the cons. Overall, a great find that I can highly recommend for those looking to keep their music and movies organized.

🔗Clear CD Storage Tote with Movable Dividers

https://preview.redd.it/5bly8bvvci1d1.jpg?width=720&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=4fe96f31d88986a3127caa4d4e7b075c2c6197dd
I recently needed a reliable storage solution for my extensive music collection and stumbled upon the Iris Large Media Storage Box. I was thrilled to see that it could accommodate up to 120 CDs, giving me ample space to organize my favorite tunes. The tote's clear design allowed me to easily identify the contents without needing to open it, which was a game-changer for my music storage needs.
One of the standout features was the snap-tight lid, which kept my precious CDs secure and protected from dust and potential damage. The clear lid and body were also perfect for quick identification, while the movable dividers made it simple to customize the container box to fit my storage preferences.
However, I did encounter a minor inconvenience when trying to organize the CDs. The plastic sleeves were challenging to remove without causing scratches on the disc itself. This required extra care and attention during the organization process.
Overall, the Iris Large Media Storage Box has been a fantastic addition to my music storage routine. Its sleek design, ample space, and protective features make it a top choice for anyone looking to keep their CDs organized and secure.

🔗Birchwood CD Storage Cabinet with Vintage Details

I recently had the chance to try out this beautiful media storage cabinet in my own home, and I must say I'm quite impressed. The walnut finish adds a touch of warmth and elegance, while the library-style drawers remind you of a bygone era.
One of the things that stood out to me was the sturdy construction. The 24 deep drawers hold 19 discs each, which is perfect for my CD collection. The assembly-free delivery was a bonus too—no need to spend hours piecing it together myself.
However, the finger pull hardware on the drawers could have been better. While the label slots are a nice touch, some of the hardware felt a bit flimsy. I also noticed that the slides in a few drawers didn't seem as smooth as I would have liked.
All in all, this storage cabinet is a great addition to my home. It looks fantastic, keeps my discs dust-free, and offers plenty of room for my growing collection. The minor issues with the hardware and slides were easy to overlook considering the benefits.

🔗Versatile CD Storage Box Set for Optimal Organization

I recently came across this amazing CD Storage Box set of 3, and I must say, it's been a game-changer for me. I used to have a mess of CDs scattered all over the place, but this set solved my storage woes in a jiffy. The large capacity is seriously impressive - it can hold up to 165 discs! The non-woven fabric material is sturdy and durable, making it the perfect long-term storage solution for my CDs.
One of the best features of this set is the lidded design that keeps my discs away from dust. It's also collapseable, which is great because it saves space when I'm not using it. And the best part? It's not just limited to storing CDs – I've found it to be a versatile organizer for all sorts of things, from books to passports to toys.
Of course, no product is perfect. I wish the handles were a bit stronger, but overall, this CD Storage Box set has been a lifesaver for my ever-growing CD collection. If you're in the market for a reliable and spacious storage solution, give this set a try – I don't think you'll be disappointed.

Embracing the world of technology and organization, I found myself in need of a reliable and sturdy disc storage solution for my growing collection of CDs and DVDs. Enter the Hongwa CD/DVD Hard Case, a sleek and shiny addition to my media room.
Setting up the hard case was a breeze; its quarter round shape and robust aluminum construct make it a solid and durable storage solution. I was particularly impressed with the chrome metal corner and extra strip reinforcements, ensuring that my discs remained safe and secure. The case came with two hinges and two chrome locks, providing a secure and stylish enclosure for my treasured media.
As I filled the Hongwa Hard Case with my vast collection of CDs and DVDs, I marveled at the spaciousness it offered. The ability to store up to 1000 discs made me wonder how I had ever managed without it. The sleek aluminum exterior not only looked fantastic, but it also provided my discs with an extra layer of protection, keeping them free from scratches and fingerprints.
Despite its impressive features, the Hongwa CD/DVD Hard Case did have a couple of downsides. The price point might be a bit higher than some competing products, but when compared to their durability and capacity, it was well worth the investment. Shipping times were also a little longer than I would have preferred, but considering the care and attention to detail invested in the product, I was willing to be patient.
In conclusion, the Hongwa CD/DVD Hard Case is an excellent addition to any media enthusiast's setup, offering a stylish and sturdy solution for disc storage. While there might be a few minor issues with the shipping times and price point, the overall quality and functionality of the case far outweigh these shortcomings, making it a worthy investment for anyone looking to organize and protect their valuable media collection.

Set up was a breeze - just snap the sides together and your music organizer is ready to use. The sturdy construction and reinforced corners made these CD boxes a reliable choice, and the chrome card holder on the front was a convenient touch for labeling different genres.
However, there were a couple of drawbacks that I noticed. Firstly, the snaps on some of the boxes didn't seem as tight as I would have preferred, causing them to pop open occasionally. Secondly, the label on the card holder seemed a bit small, making it difficult to read the genre from a distance. Despite these minor issues, the Snap-N-Store CD Storage Boxes did a great job of keeping my CDs organized and within easy reach.

🔗Luxury CD/DVD Storage Binder Set by Bellagio-Italia

What stood out most was the complete enclosure made by the side and lid, ensuring the protection and security of your discs and other valuable items. Each box comes with 12 sheets installed, capable of holding up to 48 discs. The patented 3-ring rivet even allows for expansion with other Bellagio-Italia Insert Sheets for a more extensive collection.
The only drawback I found was its limited capacity, but given the small luxurious footprint it occupies, it's well worth it. Overall, this CD/DVD Storage Binder Set by Bellagio-Italia is a fantastic addition to your home, providing both style and functionality, and I couldn't be happier with my purchase.

What truly sets this CD holder apart from others is its high-quality acrylic construction. Unlike those made of artificial leather or plastic, this media storage box has proven to be very durable. No more worrying about damaging my CDs or having to deal with unsightly storage solutions.
However, one downside of this product is the price point. The aluminum frame, along with the ABS panel, gives the case a sturdy feel, while the chrome handle makes it easy to transport.

Sometimes, the material felt a bit cheap, and the fit was a bit tight, which could make removing the discs a bit difficult. Overall, though, I'm impressed with the product's durability and capacity, and I'm confident it will last a long time in my collection.

You need a CD Storage Box to keep your discs organized, protected from dust and scratches, and easily accessible. Investing in a good CD Storage Box can help prolong the life of your discs and make it easy to find what you're looking for when you need it.

What types of materials can CD Storage Boxes be made from?

CD Storage Boxes can be made from various materials, such as plastic, metal, or wood. The most common types are plastic and metal, as they tend to be more durable and lightweight. Wooden storage boxes offer a more aesthetic option for those who prefer a classic look.

What is the difference between a CD Storage Box and a DVD Storage Box?

A CD Storage Box or a DVD Storage Box essentially serve the same purpose, which is to store and keep optical discs safe and organized. The main difference between the two is the size, as CDs are usually smaller than DVDs and require a slightly smaller storage box.

How do I choose the right size CD Storage Box?

To choose the right size CD Storage Box, consider the number of discs you need to store. Measure the height and width of the discs to determine the correct dimensions for your storage box. Most CD Storage Boxes come in standard sizes, but customized options are available for more specific needs.

Can I use CD Storage Boxes for other types of discs, such as Blu-ray or game discs?

Yes, you can use CD Storage Boxes for other types of discs like Blu-ray, game discs, or even vinyl records. Most CD Storage Boxes are adaptable to different disc sizes, but make sure to measure the discs you need to store to ensure a proper fit.

How do I prevent CDs from getting scratched or damaged in storage?

To prevent CDs from getting scratched or damaged in storage, make sure the discs are not exposed to direct sunlight or extreme temperatures. Handle the discs gently and avoid touching the shiny, reflective side. If the storage box has an interior lining, it can help protect the discs from scratches and dust.

What are some safety precautions when using and storing CD Storage Boxes?

When using and storing CD Storage Boxes, make sure the containers are placed on level surfaces and not exposed to excessive heat or moisture. Keep the boxes away from sources of direct sunlight, and avoid stacking heavy objects on top of them. Regularly check for any signs of wear or damage to ensure the safety and longevity of your discs

Where can I find the best CD Storage Boxes for my needs?

You can find a wide variety of CD Storage Boxes online and in retail stores. Look for reputable brands, such as AmazonBasics, Satechi, or Plustek. Consider factors like the size, material, and any additional features when choosing a storage box. Read customer reviews to get an idea of the product's performance and durability.

2024.05.19 22:11 janek500 [Brag Post] My set of Cyberpunk stuff

[Brag Post] My set of Cyberpunk stuff

  • "No Coincidence" by Rafał Kosik;
  • "World of Cyberpunk" in both regular and deluxe versions - the deluxe one is exactly the same as basic version, but comes with set of gadgets like extra cardboard packaging, custom textured cover with Night City map art, temporary tats (XD), Johnny Silverhand poster and vehicles postcards. Funny thing is, it's more difficult now to buy regular version than deluxe one;
  • Limited edition of official game's guide coming with premium access code for Piggyback interactive map;
  • Limited "Art of Cyberpunk 2077" artbook - 216 pages of concept arts explaining different fashion styles, gangs design, some weaponery concepts, cars and main and side characters. It's basically physical, richer version of official digital artbook, and as far as I know it's the same one that was included in collector's edition. It's fascinating thing to see for one reason - some of character concepts visible on artbook's pages evolved into ingame characters in basically unchanged visual form;
  • Steelbook;
  • DVD box including OST on CD;
  • "Your Voice" comicbook in hard cover - I don't know much about this edition, why it is so small and where it was initially released. It's in polish, smells like poligraphic chemicals and it's the same thing as its bigger brother. Definitely rarest and most mysterious thing in my collection, if someone knows its origin, please share your wisdom;
  • Comicbooks - Trauma Team, Where's Johnny, Your Voice, Big City Dreams, You Have My Word and Blackout;
And that would be it. My next objectives are upcoming comicbooks and maybe collector's edition. Steelbooks would be nice addition too.

Found this while tidying (Asus tading card?)
So I was tyding my room and I was curious about my little Asus card box (kinda looks like a cd sleeve but with a little bit more depth to it) and I found this trading card looking thing with it. Any info or anyone else got one?

13 days, 1400 miles, 10 states... ask me anything!
EDIT: That is 4900 miles.
My observations:
  • Never opened the toolkit or the Medical kit... I consider this a WIN.
  • Cooling is paramount if you are going to the South. I thought I knew humidity until I was riding in 85 degrees with a dew point of 84!
  • Hydrate, Hydrate, Hydrate. I had a big thermoflask and powdered sportsdrink. Still bought the occasional Powerade at the gas station to keep hydrated.
  • 300 NON-Freeway miles was a good day. 350 was ok. 400+ tended to be grueling. 50 mph was an average, after passing through towns, construction, and accidents
  • If it was hot and humid, wearing rain gear was no better than no rain gear... you just steamed inside the gear. The BMW Bunny Suit was actually wearable and breathed well if you could open the sleeves. Torrential downpours this was not possible.
  • Make time to stop and enjoy where you end up. We got to key west, didn't even stop for lunch, never got a "souvenir"
  • Everyone on the ride should get a half day "I have to see this". Maybe two if possible.
  • Best days were 3 hrs in New Orleans, half a day at the Barber Motorcycle Museum.
  • People are friendly, especially to bikers on a long trip
  • Don't over pack. Anything you forgot is likely available at Walmart
  • Eat light at lunch. Nothing is worse than feeling sleepy in the afternoon. Save the big meal for dinner
  • At dinner have a recap of the day, and overview of the next day. Breakfast any changes were discussed... mainly due to weather.
  • WHO is more important then WHERE or HOW. We had a bad apple, and he made things miserable until he abandoned. He was the WORST for hurrying people, hid in his room at the end of the day, never liked any of the places we stopped to eat. (He was right on that one... Subway for lunch every day sucks. Stop for local flavor)
  • ORGANIZE! I thought I was until the 2 or 3rd day of unpacking or packing. Resorted all my gear so what I needed during the day was in the 45L bag, tools in one side case, extra gear in the other. At night I took a shower, changed, repacked everything but the 45L bag. Morning everything went back in the 45L, then it got strapped to the bike. Morning "get ready" went from near an hour to 20 min.
MVP gear: a 7x9 heavy duty tarp from Harbor Freight. It was a rain cover, a shade provider, a ground cover while checking under the bike, a bike cover... probably forgot some of the other uses.
Runner up: The BMW rain suit. Wore it 4 of the 13 days, was dry and comfortable in it the whole time. Bit of a bitch to get on or off without help. Loved to snag on any bit of gear on the jacket like zippers or the seams around the elbow and shoulders.
Approx route: I started in STL area, met them in Sonora TX, rode the rest of the route back to STL where we split up again, one going north to Chicago, the other west to Kansas and then to California

So I like to get mixtape CDs and stuff but I’m tired of having to spend forever looking for a custom mixtape cd on eBay or whatever site. I’m looking for a way to put images on the cd. I want it to be reliable and not it just being like gluing a piece of paper onto the cd. Can you guys help me?
